Cuando Me Enamoro #153 Wednesday 11/23/11 Jero again in trouble... Revelations, rebelations and investigations

RECAP BY MARTA IVETT:

Sorry this is a bit rushed, have to get going with thxgiving turkey and stuffing prep, and 2 y.o. is crying for no reason...

Replays from last night:
Lazaro tells jero ezeq was with Berta but not abused her.
Nata calls jero, berta and ezeq did have something.
Jero gets arrested as accomplice in Dr Nesme’s death…

Tonight:
Berta with German at office:
German says never been so attracted to anyone… don’t know if will be able to hide the attraction in front of others… I know you want me too (you wish, man! She is just playing you like a violin)… Berta acts ‘decent’ and says wont be ‘la otra’ while you are married… G says been having problems with wife but years but was postponing divorce for not having good motive, but now with you everything is different. While it happens we can still be together discretely…. Berta not so convinced but won’t reject it.
(while we hear more of Mana’s mariposa)

At CdA Melesio tells Augie mosto is in the tanks… Anibal asks what is the mosto.. the grape juice… Augie explains he produces his own wine… Anibal is impressed/amused…
Augie must have some plan in his sleeve… he is not this nice or hosty with anyone for nothing.

Jero gets arrested for accomplice in Dr Nesme’s death. Jero claims it must be a mistake. (hate to say it to our AH but that is the line all say when arrested,  innocent or not)
But they won’t let him go. Carlos comes out, gets startled seeing what is going on, Jero tells him to call the lawyer. Mati comes out as Jero is driven out. Mati bangs on car window ‘you can’t take him!’  (Mati, put an effort, girl, you are showing your ignorance!)
Mati cries on Carlos shoulder.

At kitchen at La B, Manuela teaches granddaughter Alison to cook, tells her you have to eat. Eat the whole plate, I will watch you. Mati runs in, tells Manuela they took Jero away.

Nata arrives at MR offices. Beth welcomes her. Then Nata runs into Gonzo, big hug.
She showers him with kisses… so happy to see him well. ‘U look mah!-velous!!!’
She is happy to see him so happy for the marriage. She promises Jero will be at the wedding. Gonzo says it is always good to have the whole family there. Charming Nata melting hearts again…

At LaB, everyone in living room assuring each other Jero is innocent. Carlos talked to the lawyer. Lawyer went to see Jero at Ensenada police.
Carlos will stay waiting for Jero’s return, sends everyone else to Ezeq’s burrial.

Priscilla(is that her name?) comes out ‘My charlie!!… Prissy gets smoochy/charming with Charlie right away… Mati comes back in and watches them. Then gets sad… Carlos is caught between a rock and a hard place. he swears to Prissy that in the end she and Mati will end up good friends.

Doctor who examined baby girl tells Connie and sleezy mom that baby is ok, nothing serious. She is getting IV and they can take her once the IV is all done. Sleezy mom asks how much it costs, Connie offers to pay for it all.

Nata visits Berta at office. Berta asks if Nata came to confirm Berta is working at MR now.  Nata wants to talk about Ezeq. Ezeq confessed to Lazaro he had an affair/swing with Berta but that it was not abuse. Berta says men lie. Nata needs the truth. Berta asks Nata if she really believes Berta would be with a farmworker, who is married, a nobody. ‘I was the victim. That wretch took advantage that I was half drunk. If he were alive I would force him to tell the truth.’ Nata gets up anxious, refusing to believe…  Berta doesn’t care if Nata believes her or not, it was a mistake to bring it up. Berta runs out, Adri comes to hug Nata.

At Ensenada they are taking Jero’s statement… the officer says the statements of the other people who cared for Dr Nesme are not in agreement with Jero’s. Bottom line is Jero will have to stay detained until the investigation is done, at least 72 hrs.
Carlos hands him a picture of virgin of guadalupe that Mati sent him. Tries to cheer him up. Jero very thankful.

Augie is showing Anibal the barrells of wine… Melesio is with them. Augie’s cell rings. Some other guy tells him Jero was arrested. Augie wants Jero to stay detained as long as possible.  (Could they be planning a murder attempt for Jero in jail just like Nesme?)

Apparently the director of jail or clinic declared lies against Jero.

Augie tells himself after Anibal leaves the area: Whoever does it to me pays for it, Linares.. oooh! Too bad you can’t ask Ezeq anything.

Jero asks his lawyer to get him a permit to call Nata.

Jero asks Carlos to tell everyone at hacienda not to tell Nata anything about this.

At MR offices, Adri is in disbelief of everything that happened at hacienda… Adri is in awe of how far Berta can go. She learns Berta is very charming with the new associate.

Adri tells Nata about the fake relationships Adri-Chema and Matias-Julieta they will show at wedding.  Nata is confused about this, what is up with that.

Jero left Nata a voice mail saying he could not leave town because of Nesme’s investigation but did not tell her he was arrested.

Nata tells Adri she is getting a sadness feeling inside from hearing Jero’s voice, his voice sounded melancholic… he said she should not worry so she won’t. Adri encourages this.

Isidro gets with the guy who had collected the fingerprints of Berta… He is certain that Berta is not Gina’s daughter (Regina Gamba). The prints don’t match little baby Gina! Isidro impactado… (FINALLY!!!)
Isidro asks the usual question… ARE YOU SURE???
Isidro asks the guy not to tell anyone… as a personal favor… Gina is his friend and has lived a hell all these years. Can’t just run and tell her the one she thinks is her daughter is not… the guy trusts Isidro to tell her ASAP.

Gina and Gonzo seem to be at an outdoor restaurant by office. Berta joins them. She is happy.  Gonzo gets a cell call. Gina answers. It is the bank manager lady. Very good news. She recovered part of the money she had given Fina.  Gina asks the manager to put the money back in Jero’s account, after all he loaned the money to her.  Gina tells the good news to Berta and Gonzo, Berta realizes they just took the money out of Fina’s bank account (mommy won’t be a happy camper fur sur).  Gonzo offers to put in the rest of the money once the company gets liquid assetts again. They celebrate that their daughter is with them (… NOT!!)…

At mental institution Fina and Blanca talk … If anyone finds out Fina went out, they are in trouble. They think this doctor Leandro is stupid. He left and won’t be back until tonight.  (seems they are beginning to think to get rid of him )

At LaB, Mati and Prissy meet at the fields… Prissy says have a question for Charlie.  (are we missing a third armed angel here?) Prissy laughs and mocks Mati when Mati tells her to ask her the question about the wine mixes…

Manuela and Kari talk about Alfo not attending the burrial. Alfo walks in looking like a dead man walking. Poncho runs to hug her.  Poncho asks her why she did not go, Alfo brushes him off. Poncho runs out and Kari asks Alfo if she feels better.  Alfo has even lost her breast milk so Manuela will give the baby reg milk. Kari tells Alfo she has to overcome it. Lazaro insists Ezeq did not abuse Berta… but he did sleep with her. Alf says if Ezeq did not kill himself, she would have killed him.

At MR manor, Gina is planning to call Jero to let him know about the money, will do her will after the honeymoon, whatever she has will be for Berta (Reginita?)
Nata joins them.  Gina tells her the good news about the money. Nata tells them Jero won’t be able to come to the wedding… a problem in town with a case, so can’t leave town. Too bad.

At jail, lawyer tells Jero can’t get him out, at least for 72 hrs… doesn’sot have right to bail … Jero frustrated that he has to pay the price for trying to save the life of that beast! (now you realize it?? Too late, buddy)

At the church, Antonio brings a wheelchair to Marina (who had mentioned in yesterday’s ep she wished she had a wheelchair or an electric one, very fast acting, Antonio!)  … She is very thankful.

The ‘habit’ does not make the monk… there was a time I was away from God… but repented. (Does anyone get the idea that Marina and Antonio will end up together here?)

At laB, Manuela is with Alfo and the kids… She offers the help of her granddaughter Alison to watch the kids… Alfo wants to go back to work asap. The house is full of memories of the un-nameable…  Manuela says baby is too small (to be left with anyone else)… Alfo will pay Alison for caring for the baby while she works.  And if Jero is not against it, she will begin on Monday.

Antonio and Marina are testing the wheelchair to living room. Padre Severino gets home. Comes with the news that they arrested Jero.  Seems the issue of Dr Nesme is not over.
She is in disbelief… But seems the authorities don’t care that what he did, he did to save Dr Death’s life.

Augie gets home. Anibal wants him to take him to see Alison at LaB. Augie seems a bit too pleasing for my taste, he must have ulterior motives to go to LaB.

Alison and Manuela at LaB kitchen talking about Anibal…  Manuela tells her she has a job for her… Allison is in ‘why me?’ mode.

Isidro tells Ines about the Berta identity or lack of… Ines reminds him that Pepa gave the toothbrushes of Nata and Berta to Gina… but Gina also had a hair brush out of Berta’s purse. Isidro tells Ines the truth… with the promise she won’t tell Gina yet. Fingerprints of Berta and Gina’s baby don’t match… Ines asks what if Gina’s daughter is Nata instead of Berta?  Ines begs Isidro to tell Gina… Isidro is more sane and says they don’t know if it was Fina who caused the confusion.  Ines says Berta continues meeting with Fina, and outside the psych hospital.. That is why Panchita thought she saw Pepa in a car talking to Berta. They called the director of the clinic and he assured them Pepa was there. Isidro says the more reason you should be quiet until he can get the evidence that Nata is Gina’s true daughter.  He will investigate and will find a way to get Nata’s fingerprints.

At clinic Connie and sleezy mom with baby… Girl says she doesn’t even have drinking water at her place. Connie offers to care for baby… but noone should know, not even her husband or Gina.

At LaB they are aware Jero won’t get out anytime soon. For now he is just detained… Mati again acts as knowitall…

Nata is ready for the wedding with a very nice dress on… calls laB and Mati tells her Jero went out. Nata is confused, Jero left a message. Jero left with Carlos. She asks that Jero call her. Or better yet, she will call him when the wedding is over.

Wedding is at MR Manor… Fina calls Berta by cell… Fina wants to know who saw her.. someone told Gina they saw Berta outside with her. She wants to make sure it was not her… find out who it was! Berta says they can suspect if she asks too many questions. Fina says unfortunately she won’t be able to get out so she yells at Berta asking for info. Berta asks her not to threat. Fina says not threat, it is warning that she will call Gina and tell her Berta is not her daughter. Berta hangs up and asks’don’t you get tired of repeating that threat? Dog that barks does not bite’…  Fina calls the MR manor phone to show Berta.  Panchita answers, tells Gina the call is for her, it is a woman and she needs to tell her something related to her family… Three way screen: Berta, Fina and Gina.

Previews:
Friday (no ep tomorrow)..
wedding day: I declare you man and wife!
Nata finds out Jero is detained…
Marina visits Jero and tells him she will always love him.
Fina warns Berta either you do what I say or Gina will find out you are not her daughter.

Thank you Marta. I can't believe you managed to pump out this very thorough recap in the midst of Thanksgiving prep and a crying 2 yr old. I think you are superwoman!

Hey all, apparently blogger has a "new look", i.e. everything about posting is different. If anything in the post looks wrong, crammed together, jumbled up, etc., please let me know.

OK, I haven't even watched the episode which I am going to do right now, and enjoy the recap.

Wow! Marta, after reading your recap I am even more amazed. Crying babies, turkey waiting to get stuffed, all that other prep, and you STILL did a recap? Unbelievable.

Hey, I saw that little brat Alison dump the scrambled eggs into the trash! I don't think Manuela's plan, forcing Ali to eat while watching her, is going to be very successful in the long run.

Augustin's little "ooh" would have been funny if he weren't such an evil bugger.

"Jero asks Carlos to tell everyone at hacienda not to tell Nata anything about this." Again with hiding the truth? Do these dunderheads never learn? (Rhetorical question, of course they do NOT.)

Speaking of which, why can't Isidro tell Regina the news about Berta RIGHT NOW? These people drive me crazy, even with my custom beanie.

Oh my goodness, the dress Nata was wearing for the wedding? Only someone with an extremely good figure could pull off that look.

Marta, thanks again for the terrific recap. You rock!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. I'm very thankful to have found this community to share my love for the telenovela and to share a smile or a communal vent every day.

Güera

I was making pies and sides last night while watching the show. That was hard enough. I can't imagine ALSO having to recap and take care of a crying two year old. You are amazing Marta! Thank you for taking the time to give us such a wonderful recap.

Quick thoughts:
Augi is so funny when he gets smug and thinks he's won. I worry for Anibal. Nata will not be pleased with the lying. Ali will be a headache for Manuela. Gina looked hot in her low cut wedding dress. Friday's wedding episode should be interesting.

Fingerprints! Ha! Pepa/Fina forgot that fingerprints were on the original birth certificates and might be compared one day.

The CarayCaray community definitely is on my list of things to be Thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving all!!

Marta Ivette, Let me add my thanks for your heroic efforts to comfort a turkey and bake a baby, errrr I mean roast the turkey and not go crazy with howling 2 year old. I don't think they need a reason, do they? It's in their contract.

I wanted to say an early thanks then I will go back to finish reading this super recap. Your humor is shining through like the gleam on a very sharp knife.

And congratulations on being rewarded with the scene with the bank manager and Isidro. We have all been holding our breath for this unmasking of Roberta to begin. For the rest of it, it looks like Maritata and Augie will be the happiest to see Jero confined and separated from Renata.

So while my two bums sleep in, I have some time to relax with coffee on this beautiful sunny morning.

Marta, I didn't have half of what you had to do and my "babies" are 20 years old, and I still didn't get around to watching the show, let alone a recap!!! Laz is sending his Super "S" Cape to you. I think you more than deserve it.

Oh, I hate reading that it's "secret time" again. I'm sure Jero is only thinking of not ruining Nata's trip home, but I always hate that the keeping of the secrets always backfires somehow.

Glad I missed "Alfi Acting Like a Brat: Part 2". Hello, those kids are half Zeke - you insult and hate him, they will always take it you hate them too.I'm almost wishing something happens to her so those poor kids have a loving home with Kari and Laz.

And so excited (NOT) that when I can watch tomorrow night, I get a full dose of Dr. You'reBehindBarsAndCan'tEscapeMyWhining.

A wonderful Thanksgiving to all U.S. Caray folks and hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Thank you so much Marta for this thorough recap.

Hi, again, Marta. Blogger cut me off last post. I so appreciate how you capture the subtle nuances in each scene.

Thank you for getting this up in the midst of turkey prep and soothing a 2 year old. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

EJ

You rock, Marta! How you fit in a recap with your schedule is amazing.

As Cheryl said, you were lucky to draw the episode with the beginnings of the big reveal. Isn't it ironic though that Berta is about to be drawn into a whole new round of unsavory activities by Pepa/Fina's threat to unmask her -- and Isidro could put a stop to it all if he did the unmasking right now instead of waiting for proof. Berta's soul and ultimate redemption are on the line here and much as I'm pulling for redemption I fear that she will go over the edge at Fina's urging.

Oh, Coni, how could you be so stupid as to shelter that bogus baby mama and the adorable niña in your own servants' quarters -- in secret?!? Anvils are lining up over your head.

Yeah, little Alison is a sneak -- I know, I know, she's just being a teenager, but still -- she did dump that plate of food as soon s Abuelita's back was turned -- and I'm not sure I trust her with little Luz.

All along I've been expecting Antonio's long lost family to reappear -- the bodies were never found and we know what that usually means in telenovela land -- but it did look as though there may be something brewing between Maritata and our badly bearded brother.

Guera

Marta - Thanks so much for the effort to get this out to us. I love your word "Rebelations".

I had two favorite moments of this episode:
1) Renata's dress. Finally she wears something I wish I could fit in to.
2) When Jero specifically told Carlos to tell BlabberMati NOT to mention anything to Renata, then when they were having the meeting at La B and Carlos turns to Mati and adamantly says "ni una sola palabra de esto a ella" and Mati in turn adamantly says to Herminia "Oiste, Herminia?". Herminia said "Yo?". lol Nicely played.

If I could give the Kevlar Vests to anyone at the wedding it would have to be Isidro and Inez. NOW they know about the fingerprints, I fear for their safety. Also, did anyone notice they are no longer in the Intro, while Alison y Anibal are?

And I still find it odd that Maritatas, Areli, Padre Tio, Manuela are all in the intro, but not Roberta. I wonder if she royally ticked off a producer.

Alison may be anorexic after all. Like Sylvia, I also saw her throw those scrambled eggs in la basura. Ay, what we wouldn't give to get a meal cooked by Manuela! If only she were doing my Thanksgiving dinner...mmmmm

I wonder where BankLady recovered the Fina money? Why didn't Regina ask?

Daisy - such a funny thought that your "Dr.You'reBehindBarsAndCan'tEscapeMyWhining" has a captive (literally) audience with Jero now. How excruciating that will be for him and us.

Marta may be right about Dr.HellOnWheels and Antonio striking up a romance. But then does he find out she is his long-lost daughter? Right after they "do it"? Ick. Sorry for that on Thanksgiving.

Daisy, I hope you enjoy your bums being home. Maybe we can remind Marta how much we actually miss the 2 year old stage. Somehow through the years you forget that they liked to cry for no reason whenever you were fixing Thanksgiving dinner pr on the phone or re-capping a telenovela.

Happy Thanksgiving Amigos!

Rosemary la Otra

To follow up with Guera's comment about Alison watching Luz - I actually just closed my nanny agency that I ran for 22 years here in Utah. I can tell you that I would NOT have accepted Alison as one of my nannies and I did cringe when I heard Alfi take Manuela up on that offer. I cringed even more when Alison balked at the idea. Who wants a nanny who doesn't want to be there?

R la O

Rosemary - LOL. I remember those tugging on the pant leg or yells of "momma, he took my....( just fill in the blank) whenever I hit the phone or started cooking. Now I get it from the cat most days...

But I love having them home for these brief days. Right now they are sprawled on chairs and couches, still in sweats watching the Macy's parade. If they weren't drinking coffee, it would be the same scene as when they were two years old.

Guera, I agree with you. Why do they keep bringing up Antonio's long-last family if there won't be an eventual appearrance? I mean, there are TN laws to follow.

Marta, what a wonderful recap under demanding conditions. Thank you very much, and the more so since I couldn't watch it last night.

Elna June, I was looking at yesterday's comments, and see that I misspelled your name. Forgive me, I was rushing to get over to the twins and didn't proof read.

Karen, my wife and I live in Vincennes. I think I read that Vivi said you're in Indy?

Lot's to be thankful for here, including interacting with you fun people, getting together with family, but on this particular day, maybe most of all a text message I just got: "Iraq is in the rearview mirror" - Our son's brigade just crossed into Kuwait.

Happy Thanksgiving amigos.

David

Thanks Marta. Reading your nifty snappy recap was the first thing I did this morning. To think that you had so much going on and the help of a 2 yr. old is mind-boggling. This is excellent.

Rosemary la O, you and I are on the same wave-link today.

Nata's dress is a stunner. I think it looks more like something Roberta would wear but I'm glad that Renata has it... as Sylvia points out, it is perfect for her.

And that scene you described was acted with such perfection by all three, Carlos, Mati, and Herminia. I couldn't keep from laughing out loud. I also really enjoyed the follow-up scene with Mati struggling to keep the secret as she talked with Nata on the phone. Her little hamster so wanted to jump off the wheel.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here.

Carlos

David, what a great day for your son, you and your family. Truly a memorable Thanksgiving for you guys.

Carlos

David, thank you for the update. That is terrific news on any day, but on a day when we are officially considering all that we are thankful for it is especially meaningful. Just think, less than a week and your son will be home!

Guera: "badly bearded brother", LOL!!

I've been thinking about Manuela's scrambled eggs. I'm mad enough at Alison for dumping them in the trash, but what if they were chilaquiles? I simply cannot bear the thought of a plate of delicious chilaquiles going to waste. Now I'm even more mad. (Mad as in angry, not as in insane, although maybe you think I should be in a white robe since I am obsessing about a plate of eggs.)

And where is Manuela's head? That Ali as Nanny idea is just stupid for all the reasons R la O and you others state. I hope Luz is as resilient a baby as Renata was.

I, too, am very thankful for such a great group of friends with whom I can learn Spanish and enjoy the crazy world of telenovelas.

¡Feliz Día de Acción de Gracias!

David - That is the best text ever! He's on his way home!

Sylvia - what kind of chilaquiles do you like? I am ashamed I have never made them fresh, and have always used taco chips. I love them with green sauce, scrambled eggs and mozz cheese.

Word Verification: imblue. Yes, I am blue that there is no CME tonight.

R la O

I agree, I will miss not watching CME tonight too. However since I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my place this year I'm a little relieved that I don't have to recap. That's why I am so amazed that Marta was able to pull it off.

My favorite version of chilaquiles uses a red salsa. I used to work with two women from different parts of Mexico, two distinctly different styles of chilaquiles, and man would they have debates about it! One of them did not use eggs, it was good but I prefer chilaquiles with eggs. I love green salsa so I'm sure I would love that version as well. I have both fried my own chips and used purchased chips. I think if you can get good quality chips it is better than smelling up the house by frying them. Nobody seems to notice the difference in the end product. Mozzarella is a good cheese to use, and I like to finish them off with a handful of queso anejo (aged cheese, kind of like a mild feta) at the end for a little tang. Ummm...I think I'd better have some breakfast before I take a bite out of my laptop.

Marta, what a great recap and with all you have to do, is truly incredible.

I have a totally different take on Ali as nanny. If nothing else, it will make her think twice before playing house with Ani. It might even teach her some responsibility.

I can see it now, Jero is going to have to endure 72 hours of Dr. Tatas' whining.

Did they fingerprint children at birth in Mexico 24 years ago? If not, the fingerprint issue with Berta is probably going to be a PSA.

David, great news about your hijo! I know you are beside yourself with happiness. I remember when my brother returned from VietNam and the joyful celebration. We had to stop for Lone Star beer and Tex-Mex food on the way home from the airport.

I am off to make Dr. Carlos' Corn Cassarole and Jalapeno Cornbread. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

But post of all a huge thank you to CHF for beginning this great community.

Rosemary #1

All this talk of chilquiles & jalapeño corn bread has me salivating.

Great news about our son, David. We all have so much to be thankful for -- and this is one more thing.

Carlos, I see Baylor is doing well so far. Good luck.

Guera

David:
Congratulations to your son for seeing the back of Iraq. Wow. May he be safe and sound all the way home.

My husband used to live in Kuwait. He is quite sure that your son will be happy to see Kuwait in his rear-view mirror as well.

Marta Ivett: I am so glad you reported that the putative baby-mom said she did not have drinking water at her house. That the baby would be in such difficult conditions gives us a CLUE as to why Connie would act in such an impulsive way. Does that mean that th baby was dehydrated when she got to the doctor's office? Did bad Corina neglect to hydrate or feed the baby??? Arghh. That doesn't bear thinking about. Still, Connie is clearly acting like someone still suffering from a severe head injury. (Paging Dr. Carlos for an on-line diagnosis...) Perhaps that will be her defense when this scheme goes awry.

Marta you title is wonderful Perhaps we could add "deception" since the epi is so filled with lies.

My word veri is "dedlyin". Really.

Just took a break from cooking to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

Happy what's-left-of Thanksgiving, all. Our daughter cooked for us at her apartment. Yum!!

We'll hate not having CME tonight but then again weare glad Sylvia won't have to recap.

Happy Thanksgiving To All Caray Afficionados--and especially to the recappers, who keep on giving, Thanksgiving or not. Marta--you deserve to wear Laz' S-uperman (we'll make it a Supermamma for today) cape.

David--Congratulations on the good news about your son. Empty the sand out of his shoes and feed him some real turkey and pumpkin pie (or some Mexican equivalent). Love the Iraq in the rearview mirror dicho.

Ay ay, Rosemary in la la la la OtraLand. En que me estas metiendo???? Word verification list? Hmmm. Has possibilities, but that means I'd have to go back and read all the comments starting with episode 1, no?

I'm all caught up with Nesmeisms and was just thinking it would be fun to collect all of SheWhoWon'tGiveUpJeroisms (since she comes into the picture late). Ya ya, Dr. You'reBehindBarsAndCan'tEscapeMyWhining and Dr.HellOnWheels, is so [In]appropriate.
NOK

And David in IN, so glad your son is out of Iraq and on his way home. What a great Thanksgiving message.

Relaxing late, checking in and just had to send my congrats David for the wonderful news about your son. I would say another Thanksgiving dinner is soon in the works in your household. Give him an extra long hug and thank you from us, will you?

Is everyone sleeping in from Black Friday Midnight Shopping?

Assuming today is The Wedding II, don't miss Chema's face in the background while Gonz and Regina say I Do. It's very cute. I saw it doing Slo-Mo Avances (does anyone else feel the need to also do that forwards and backwards?).

How about Alfi saying that if Zeke weren't dead, she'd kill him for sleeping with Roberta at all, even if it was consensual? She's mad at him for that after all the rolls in the dirt with Dr.NotMissingLookingAtHisFace? I do hope they find out Zeke's death was not suicide. But how?

Dreading the 72 hours of Maritata's whining, but looking forward to the rest.

R la O

Thanks for the recap Marta, and yes, as you suggested, I'm getting visions of Antonio being smitten with a great light and a voice from God saying, "I really don't want you to be a cura; instead I want you to marry Marina."

Message to Cap'n Sylvia--

Can we talk off post? The list of Nesmeisms (with a little editorializing) is really a hoot. Maybe we can ask Melinama for permission to put it up on the front as a recap after the last episode. I'd like to send you what I have so far as an attached word doc for your consideration. You can contact me at almeg at verizon dot net.

NOK, I just shot an email off to you. Let me know here if, for some reason, you do not receive it.
