Cuando Me Enamoro #160 Monday 12/5/11 A Night of Tears, Joy, Anguish, Jealousy, Spite, Revenge and Laughter, but Enough About Me

Here are a few more photos for our CME family album: Here is David in IN with his incredibly handsome son returning from Iraq and as Abuelo querido with the precious nietas gemelas all wearing their new beanies by fashionista Emilia. In honor of all the wonderful scenes in Taxco, I am including a picture of me in 2008 when I attended Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca each of four winters and made an annual day trip to Taxco, the beautiful hillside town near the famous silver mines. Hats and silver spectacular there.

German says Roberta makes him crazy and hot; she wants to make him crazy enough to buy her an apartment not just rent one. Tata has apparently cried since last Friday, what else is new. Renata and Jeronimo continue to grow closer and more unified, cuidado, cuidado. New evil plans are in the wings with Augie, Sad Saul, and the white gowned Locas. Carlos continues to be clueless. Maybe he deserved that little near poisoning? Oops, Being snow bound has not improved my mood for tolerating these fools even though we desperately needed it here in the desert. I mean the snow not the fools… But let’s roll it out.

Padre Severino swears he isn’t going to stand by while Sad Saul breaks Marina’s heart again. Marina wheels in to wipe a few more tears and some snot on the cute baby sweaters that SSaul brought her. She remembers SSaul telling her that with or without him, she should ride out of Dodge asap for her well being and that of her children. She snots some more over her unborn twins who are probably getting a great start on acid stomach. Sorry but I can’t dignify this with any more translation. Fill in your own morose whining if you must. Buckets of tears ensue.

Jeronimo with great seriousness and the Bishop read the Archbishop’s letter in simulcast scenes that the ecclesiastic union stands firm. Once he cracks a smile, Jero reveals to Renata that they are still wedded in the eyes of the church. Screams of joy ensue.

Anibal is sick of Augie’s pretentious ways and will leave but Augie for his own reasons sweet talks him into staying. But Anibal catches on that he wants him to stay only because he doesn’t want Renata to know he threw him out. Augie smiles.

The kitchen jury debates the evil turn of Augie’s to deny Alfonsina the pension of Ezequiel’s salary that he had so publically promised at the funeral. They say she should wait and try again, but she swears never to step foot on the Cruz de Desamor again and will take care of her own affairs. The maid says the bosses will lend her a hand if she tells them but Alfonsina says she isn’t the first woman to be left to raise her children alone. Manuela would like her to tell Jero but she doesn’t want to make things worse between Augustin and Jeronimo. She thanks the kitchen jury for listening to her and their support but she leaves.

Maybe our first encounter wasn’t so good but maybe we can improve things, says a charming Augie. Anibal says okay he will stay but with some conditions. Strong young man, he motions Augie to sit down and listen up. He wants to get to really know him and not be treated like a stranger. And he wants to be in his confidence and he will decide whom he will befriend or not. Augie appears amused then asks also to be in Anibal’s confidence (he needs lots of information from LB) and they decide they can make a contract to try.

Roberta writes a stolen check in front of the Demented Director and his Putrid Patients. The check is written but Roberta assures Fina that there is no us. Blanca tells her she needs them and she knows that Roberta made a lot of money on this deal too. Now the doctor kissing the check says here is your passport for trips out at night. Roberta seems surprised that she has just purchased get out of asylem free passes for the Locas. But Blanca informs her that they will be able to get at her and the others while Fina swears their outings will bring ruin and evil to all Monterrubios. Roberta’s look is deer in the headlights dumbstruck that one large check could unleash the furies from maniac hell.

Inez comes in and wants to talk to Constanza and says she knows the way to her room to the maid. Constanza faces Inez’s worry and ire with a so what attitude while Inez continues to brow beat her that she is risking great things by continuing to hide this baby in her home. The consequences could be dire for her, her family and the center but Constanza is as stupid in her defiance that it is too late not to be so involved in protecting her baby as she usually is smart in solving other people’s problems.

Honorio and Matias talk about Chemas legacy at the restaurant briefly but turn to Hon’s desire that Matias and Adriana marry soon and provide grandchildren post haste so Constanza can quit obsessing about this Trojan horsey, I mean baby, in a blanket and can pay attention to grandchildren. Adri arrives with a grin about the grandchildren request and tries to calm her father that the mother will return soon and take this Trojan baby but Honorio is sure that Con will be heart broken.

Meanwhile Inez is realizing she is wasting her time trying to convince Constanza of the danger of her imprudent actions. Const says I have been reborn with this infant and she in me. Inez swears that when she returns from her honeymoon, Regina won’t be so happy and Cons will have to make a big decsion this is not the ethical way the center should be run in helping mothers in this too personal way. Consta ignores her slamming out the door and coos at the baby.

The happy honeymooners discuss at another romantic Taxco dinner that Regina would like to stay on the honeymoon forever but she misses her daughters Roberta and Renata so much. Gonzo grins that she is so enamored of Renata and feels like she is her real daughter. She thinks she is learning to get along with Roberta but she is worried that Roberta can’t be entirely trusted yet since she was under the vile influence of Fina for so many years and may still be in contact with her. Her understanding doesn’t go as far as questioning why this is not the case with the angelic Renata. Gonzo wisely wants to take the conversation back to talking only of themselves.

Renata calls PadreWannaBe Antonio to tell him that not only is Jero free, but the letter has come down from the church that they are still married. He is elated. Renata explains that she is involved with Jero’s return but will come see him soon to launch the campaign of recording the children’s fingerprints. Antonio is happy to hear this. Tata pathetically pats down the snot soaked sweaters on the Uncle Severino’s silky sofa while she sniffs and listens to what must be happy news coming out of the phone from Renata. She walks so well on those high heels clutching the bitty sweaters in hand while she stiletto stomps out of the room. Antonio apologizes for telling too much of the Jero and Renata happiness and being too open in front of Marina. But, Padre Severino shrugs that he is not the one who did anything imprudent. He acknowledges that there is not much they can do with Tata’s tempestuous tears.

Back in Augie’s office, Saul brags that things couldn’t be going better. Even though things seem slow with his reconquest of Marina, he is urging her to leave town and now her health has improved so she can move. Augie seems pleased until Saul adds, It helped a lot that they saw Renata and Jero kissing. Where were they kissing, snaps Augie. Saul relates, in Ensenata, he came out of the police station and embraced Renata as she arrived. Augie is jut-jawed but continues with his plan to make sure that Marina is out of the way and soon Jeronimo will be way, way out of his way and Renata will….well, you know.

Renata spreads out her lovely white dress that Jero left for her with a note on the bed. Jero comes in dressed in elegant white. OMG what magic he performs in an all white suit. He teases her into hurrying into her party frock so they can celebrate. Much laughter and flirting that can’t keep going well, now you know that is a TN fact of life.

Alison tells Anibal that she gets butterflies in the stomach when she sees him. Anibal tells her he gets them too. He feels things he has never felt about anyone else, and for this he has decided to stay so he can be close to her. Alison is glad and they kiss sweetly to seal the deal. They want to see each other every day. He wants to come pick her up tomorrow morning to spend time. She says it has to be very early since she will have to babysit Luz. Looks like they decide a daily meeting is great.

Julieta comes out of her apartment (or is it Chema’s old one) and sees the back of Roberta keying herself into the apartment across the hall. What is she doing here?

Jeronimo leads Renata with his hand as a blindfold to a romantic outdoor dinner table with the vines in the background torches lit and wine breathing. It is so beautiful I am almost not breathing. After he assures her that she is the only woman he is going to love for the rest of his life, they leap in their impeccable white clothes and clean feet (we hope) into a vat of grapes and swing on ropes while they kiss, stomp and make winemaking look like the sexiest occupation in the Baja. He says he has one question and gets her to look at fire works preplanned and spectacular spelling out “Renata do you want to marry me again?” A civil ceremony will follow soon as all they need again, right? She cries a few tears of joy and they dissolve into laughing screaming bedroom play that is so believably passionate.

As you wished, we see Laz and Kari attemping their first escalator in the airport. They laugh about being a pair of country simples having survived their first airplane voyage. But they are laughing and enjoying their very big adventure in D.F.

Our favorite country lass is kvetching in the kitchen with Manuela and maid (sorry this woman has no name for me, she is mostly annoying. The maid tells that Prissypants cornered her in the dining room and told her that she and Carlos were much more than school friends in Spain. She tells her that they were very much in love and they were meant to marry each other. They were considered the perfect couple there. But why did you part, asks the enchanted maid. Oh, I finished and left Spain and Carlos stayed on another year and then time went by but here I am now. Matilde hears this report, then stomps out and into Carlos room to ask the important question, Why didn’t you tell me that you and Priss were novios? If you didn’t you must be hiding something and he says, but NO in his irritatingly innocent way . (And I hardly ever get annoyed by our sweet Carlos). But she escalates her anger that they were apparently the PERFECT couple in Spain so he must not want to be engaged to her now that PPants is back. She slams the engagement ring in his bandage wrapped palm and charges out of his bedroom saying she is through. Carlos is surprised! Time for someone to teach the other facts of life to this buffoon before he gets broken bones or sets himself on fire.

Obviously from their bed, Renata and Jero can hear the fight and Jero explains that he warned Carlos he better tell Matilde about the former romance with PPants. They listen a minute for more noise then Renata wants Jero to go out and explain the facts to Carlos. Jero wants to stay in bed but Renata says pretend to be going out to the kitchen for water. They decide he will go on the pretext of having drunk so much wine. First they giggle to prove they indeed have had quite a lot of wine.

Matilde continues to accuse Carlos of misrepresenting and hiding his relationship and probably his feelings for Prissypants. She stomps off saying she doesn’t need to be annoyed by him furthe. PPants in her flannel jammiepants listens with enjoyment then rushes in to console Carlos saying coyly, oh what was the yelling about, is there some problem????. Carlos says, Matilde is upset finding out they used to be novios, but who could have told her? No one knew except Jeronimo and he wouldn’t say anything. PPants swears that she would never have said anything. She sits really close and drips honeyed words of consolation.

Matilde is furious in the kitchen saying nothing can be resolved and the engagement is off until Ppants goes away.

Lazaro and Kari have fun in a cab. Ah the simple pleasures of this great adventure.

In the apartment Roberta is already pouting that German is dressing and going home. She can’t believe that he keeps up a farce with his wife if he doesn’t love her. She says but stay while she tries to peel his jacket off again, but she is already so bothered that he has to go and he says but I have to go to my house and we have to keep this secret. She calls him a stupid coward then remarks that it is the wife’s fault that he is a womanizer, as he leaves her alone in the cold apartment.

Jero comes out to tell Carlos he was foolish not to tell Matilde the truth about Priscila before she arrived and he says but I tried and tried but she wouldn’t listen. Jero says you had an obligation to be sure she heard it. He also advises that Matilde will believe that he still has feelings for Ppants and further, Ppants is too beautiful and must go. This is all confusing news to our profoundly clueless Carlos.

Alison and Anibal hug pillows in duet and triptich scenes they play kissyface in the vineyard. Ahh, romance. Ahh, young love.

Jero comes back to the bedroom to answer Renata’s questions about what happened. Matilde is jealous because she did not know of the romance. And Regina makes the true observation that hiding the truth is the same as lying. She uses the example of how jealous Jero was when he saw that Renata was the mysterious woman at Cruz when her father sent her there to hide her. Then he remembers making himself miserable and green. His retort is bringing up when you saw me with Marina at Padre’s birthday party you went crazy jealous. They compare horrible jealous memories until the two scenes dissolve into current kisses. Jero is grateful that they have surpassed this stage and have moved on. So Renata, cocking her head suddenly says, well if we can hear them then they surely can hear us right. He immediately calls the old call to performing musicians, Otra, Otra, Otra.

Next: Gonzo and Regina learn that Jero and Renata will remarry on Thursday with joy while Augie hears this news from sister rat Roberta with rage and jutting jaw, he swears that this marriage will NEVER take place.

And It’s over to you Elna June. Hope it’s as fun as this episode was and I hope that no one dies!

Wow! Sometimes insomnia has its rewards. I eagerly (and OK, kind of grumpily) opened Cheryl's recap to find two of the finest and handsomest smiles I've ever seen. I thought "could it be?", then scrolled down to see that smile again, this time adorned by adorable twins and beanies courtesy of Emilia. (The twins look like yummy little ice cream sundaes!) Then to top it all off our own beautiful Cheryl and HER superb smile in Taxco of all places! So here I am with a big smile on my face thanks to Cheryl's brilliant idea and David sharing his family with us. David, ITA with Cheryl, your son is very handsome, easily better looking than a lot of our telenovela galanes, especially with that charismatic smile. Dad, I can see where he gets his looks.

OK, I'm going to dry my eyes, stop staring over Cheryl's shoulder at the beautiful view, wipe the stupid grin off my face, shut the heck up and enjoy the recap. I am just so moved at the wonderful pictures. Thank you Cheryl and David.

Same here Sylvia! (about being awake). I usually have my iPad on my nightstand and can just grab it if I wake too early.

Great photos! Thanks so much for sharing them Cheryl and David. I adore the pic of las gemelas in their ice cream sundae looking beanie caps. No wonder people keep asking where to buy them. Great job Emilia!

Audrey

P.S. Honestly, I described the beanie caps before I read past the first line of your comment Sylvia!

Audrey, of course you did because those beanies look good enough to eat! I knew I didn't have any strawberry ice cream in the freezer but I checked anyway, hee.

Amiga Cheryl, you were on an alliterative roll tonight! Some of my faves were: "Demented Director and his Putrid Patients", "Tata's tempestuous tears", "Severino's silky sofa", "kvetching in the kitchen", "PPants in jammiepants", you get my drift.

This sentence is brilliant: "Roberta’s look is deer in the headlights dumbstruck that one large check could unleash the furies from maniac hell." Amen to that sister. And didn't we just know what Berta would say when German left the apartment? She and I both said "estupido!" at the same time.

OMG I loved how Renata practically pushed Jero out of bed to get the chisme about Carlos and Mati, and then the look on their faces when they realized they could be heard as well...priceless!

Anibal and Alison are very sweet but I hate that he is going to stick around Cruz de Desamor. I worry for his safety because he has no idea of how dangerous his daddy really is.

I'm afraid telenovela Carlos will be wrapped up like a mummy by the time he and Mati walk down the aisle. Maybe he will even need to borrow Tata's wheelchair.

Thank you Cheryl. This was a happy night for us in CME land. Lots of Jero and Nata canoodling, two honeymoons, minimal angst, and we got some incredible pictures to add to our album.

I'm half asleep, bit if a headache and then head with coffee to the laptop. Lo and behold an amazing pic of David and his son, with those identical smiles(teared up, but they were good tears), and Bam--headache gone and wide awake. And it gets better, those gorgeous little munchkins and a beautiful pic of our lovely Cheryl. (I'm trying not to be jealous at the sunny venue - rain pouring here again.) Thank you for this fabulous start to the morning.

As for our denizens of the valley - could Nata and Jero been any cuter? From that white suit ( gasp) to their banter, Nata's absolute glee, and that realistic bed-rolling - what a fun break in the action. We know we're about to get the "ta-dum" moments before everyone rides out into the sunset, but I sure enjoyed the fun. No staged, fuzzy filter, long stares into the eyes with these two. Applause to the writers and director too.

"He acknowledges that there is not much they can do with Tata’s tempestuous tears." Excuse me, I could think of a few things. Good slap behind the head, kick in the pants, you get the drift. Wish she'd disappear into that bedroom and they leave her there until the kiddies are reading to make their entrance.

I was hoping Mati would fight for her guy - but right now Dunderhead needs this breakup to realize what Pris is up to and boot her butt back to Spain. Wrap this plot.

I want more Laz and Kari in the city. (hmmmm- show title there?) I cracked up over the escalator ride. Need some of that valley smarts to hit the remaining Monterrubios and friends. Go Laz!

By the by, caught Juan Soler on Don F. for a few minutes. Sorry those who don't find him attractive, but I'm with Mary, this guy rocks it.And he didn't even have a suit on.

Out into this endless rain. I may be floating to work this morning.

Cheryl, what beautiful pictures! You look lovely and David and family are simply endearing. I love the beanies too! Great job Emilia.

Cheryl, I always enjoy your recaps and this was simply savory. I laughed at "fill in your own morose whining if you must". "tempestuous tears" and "stiletto stomps out of the room" were my other favorites.

So happy to see Padre JP - if only for a moment. Just the sight of him lifts my spirits and gives me hope that all will end well (eventually).

Silvia Navarro attacks her scenes with such gusto and enthusiasm - I can't help but think she makes Juan Soler's job easy. How can you not respond to such exuberance? Their scenes were scorching. Wow!

daisy, ITA with your comments on Kari and Laz. "Kari and Laz's Excellent Adventure" would be most welcome. I could watch them for hours.

Carlos needs to get a clue. Quickly.

Sylvia and Audrey, wishing you both a restful sleep and sweet dreams tonight.

Diana

Cheryl- What wonderful pictures! Taxco now goes on my long list of places to visit.

David- Thank you for sharing the picture of you and your handsome some. He looks just like you! And you and your granddaughters in your Emilia beanies are all adorable.

Speaking of adorable, there were a lot of adorable scenes last night-- Kari and Laz in the City; Ani and Ali; and of course Jero and Nata.

That scene rolling around and playing in bed, before getting into the passionate stuff, must have been a lot of fun to film. Great chemistry between SN and JS there, and very realistic bedroom play. I also loved the grape stomping/fireworks proposal. How did he plan all of that in one day? Unless he's had it in the works for a while. That Jero is amazing.

Manuela was giving Mati some good advice about not handling the situation with Carlos and Pris like a five year old. Unfortunately, Mati was being too immature and stubborn to listen. Same with Alfi, who won't let on to Jero and Nata what happened at Augie's.

Carlos looked really good in his sleeveless nightshirt. How could Mati not notice that? She should have just shown him what he'd be missing if he even thought twice about PrisPants by laying a few passionate kisses on him and leaving him wanting more.

What a wonderful way to start the day. Great pics, Cheryl. We're all so happy to seevyou together with you son and with the twins, David. Such smiles. And such stylish beanies.

Oh Cheryl --"Marina wheels in to wipe a few more tears and some snot on the cute baby sweaters that SSaul brought her.
She snots some more over her unborn twins who are probably getting a great start on acid stomach. Sorry but I can’t dignify this with any more translation. Fill in your own morose whining if you must. Buckets of tears ensue." so funny and so true.

It was nice to see- however briefly- the Obispo return to read the ecclesiastical letter. And from there on what a romantic romp for Jero & Nata. The whole thing -- white clothing, moonlit vineyard, grape stomping, fireworks, rolling in the bed -- pure pleasure to watch. As you pointed out, Cheryl, so close to ultimas capitulos we must bask in the sensual bliss before it gets dashed by the unrolling events of the finale.

Güera

Sorry for the typos. For example, I meant handsome son, not some. You know what I mean. :)

BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS! thank you Cheryl for posting them! David I agree with Cap'n Silvia, your son is very handsome with a great smile...does he speak Spanish? We will recruit him as a new TN star!
the twins are adorable, the matching hats are just tooooo cute!

Cheryl I loved the picture of you in Taxco, looks like a beautiful city. Bet you didn't wear high heels while walking up and down the town like our Regina!

I am confused as I know Roberta asked that the check be written out to her, but who was she talking to? Who was dumb enough to write her a check instead of the company? I missed something here.

Time for Marina to put on her big girl Spanx and go back to work. She needs to keep her mind busy and off the"love of her LIFE".
I loved Cheryl's description of her snotting all over the baby sweaters! too funny!

Elna June I am curious, after going though an ordeal like Regina has, in despair for 24 years searching and grieving for her lost daughter. Now that she had found her, what type of emotional letdown would she suffer, first from it being all over and her now finding a grown woman not the one year old she lost, then having the daughter be someone like...Roberta!
She must now feel guilty for being disapointed in a way?

Elle- I wouldn't think about the money matters too hard. They never make a lot of sense in tns. Berta spoke to a MR client on the phone and had them write their check out to her instead of to the company. She then deposited this check in her personal bank account. Last night she wrote her own personal check (not for the whole amount she stole) to Doc Demented. She's susch an idiot for not thinking that Fina would use this money to hurt the family. Wasn't she crying up a storm over Gonzo when Fina shot him. Now she's giving her power to try the same thing again. Estupida!

I loved Ani's talk with Augie. Did I note a hint of admiration on Augie's part that his son is so strong willed?

Well super, Cheryl. Thanks for posting the photo of Dave and his son (wow, do they look alike), Dave and the twins with the Emilia beanies, and of course the photo of you in Taxco. What great additions to another spectacular recap.

I really enjoyed this episode. I was delighted to see that Germán rented the apartment right across from Julieta... and here we've wondered what useful role she might play.

The fun between Renata and Jerry was delightful... as you said Cheryl... very believable. However once again, Jerry managed to irk me no end.

Was it necessary for him to bait Carlos about still having romantic feelings for Pris, throwing his most adoring admirer, Mati, under the bus? Carlos and Mati could use a little support right now.

How stupid was it for him to compare the jealousy that Nata demonstrated over Marina with that he expressed over Augie? Tell me, Jerry, who is it that will be giving birth to twins?

Granted, he was very dashing in that white suit. Most guys couldn't get away with wearing that outfit.

Sylvia, I also said "estuipdo in unison with Roberta.

I'm also loving the campesinos in the big city. I wonder if they'll encounter some street thugs so Laz gets a chance to utilize his superpowers.

Carlos

Oh, and I wonder if the fireworks display could be seen from Cruz del Amor?

Carlos

Cheryl what a great recap!

So Tatas must have been crying all weekend? LOL! Unfortunately they are ruining that song for me. Every time it starts I know what we are in for and I look for a distraction.

Clueless Carlos LOL! And yes, la true estúpida, Roberta, just keeps getting surprised as she keeps digging herself in deeper and deeper whenever she caves to her crazy mother.

Man, that whole departamento thing is just so cheesy!

Audrey

Buenos dias amigos, I am enjoying all of your enjoyment of the fantastic pictures of David, his heroic son and the fab twins this morning. A big thank you to Emilia for being David's and family's agent and getting the pictures to send to me. Next week I will add in some shots of the great ballooining adventure with Mike and Emilia when they were in Abq. in Oct.

I have been struggling with the estupidos at the bank too Elle. What I originally thought was that our smart blonde bank manager accepted Roberta's check from the unsuspecting customers of Empresas Monterubbios but on second looking it was a younger more junior bank employee that accepted the mysterious check and had no trouble with putting it in Roberta's personal account. So someone more senior will have to come along to realize the mistakes made. Where is my sparkly beanie?

Awwwww! Haven't read the recap yet, had to stop and say what a beautiful family indeed David!! You two are the perfect picture of JOY and what super cute grandbabies!! Thanks for sharing and Cheryl you look darling and happy too against that beautiful pituresque backdrop! Thanks so much. Now. . . .off to the recap!

Lila

I was very glad that Jero pulled Carlos up short and asked him to go consult with his pillow and straighten out in his own head whether or not he still has feelings for Prisspants. Yes, he tried to talk with motormout Mati and she shut him down -- but, as Jero said, it was very important information and Carlos should have persisted until Mati listened to him. His failure to do so may mean that he is conflicted. He keeps allowing Priscilla of the pink jammies sto touch his hair, sit practically on top of him, call him "Mi Charlie." He's eithe unbelievably stupid or he is enjoying the attention and, as Jero helpfully pointed out, conflicted about whether he still has feelings for Priskanka.

And Mati -- LISTEN to Manuelita. She is so right that you handled that so immaturely.

Also it is obvious to us but not to her that Alfie should follow Manuelita's advice too. If she told Nata & Jero how she was treated it would help Nata see the truth aboiut Auggie. Ah! But such is not the way of TN plots.

So Roberta is soon to be busted by Julieta. Just as there is only one bank in DF there must be only one apartment house.

Güera

Oh, and forgot to say how much I enjoyed the scene with Auggie & Ani where it was Anibal who set the conditions if he stays -- and where it was Ani who gestured to Auggie that he should sit. -- lotta backbone in that kid & I agree that Auggie seemed a bit impressed.

Güera

Good morning everyone. Oh what lovely babies - thank you for sending the pictures Cheryl.

daisynjay - you saw Juan where? Tell and who does not think he is wonderful.

Was anyone a little bored with last night's episode? I was a little bored. Maybe it was the constant playing of the CME song, which I usually love but it was driving me a little crazy last night. Maybe there's just too much dumbness going on - daisynjay I'm with you - let's slap Tatas and make her just go away. Bored with her character, bored with her tears, bored with her stupidity and someone tell her the baby clothes are not tissues! UGH Am I boring you?

Nope. Not bored at all with romance. Especially because I know that with final weeks coming up, all the evil people are going to start wreaking havoc and making everybody unhappy, before the gran happy fin. Let's enjoy these joyous moments with a few of our couples while we can.

I ignore Tatas when she on, so I don't get bored by her.

Thanks Cheryl for a great recap, and the pictures. Son looks even better than that when he hasn't been on an airplane for 15 hours. The gemelas, L Lily, R Madelyn. Cheryl scenic picture of you at Tasco.

Since PButt is causing diruption in the household and the business, couldn't Jero just give her two weeks pay and a ticket to wherever she came from?

Tatas needes to go to DF - bigger gene pool. Meeting new people will expose Saul for the jerk he is.

David

No, I wasn't bored at all. In fact I breathed a sigh of relief with all the lovey-doveyness. It is long overdue and I always save up in case their is a famine coming. Thanks to the modern convenience of the FF>> button I can tolerate MariTata's sniveling.

But no fellow commenter, you are not boring me at all. I quite enjoy when one of us goes off on one of our characters, usually because they so richly deserve it.

The music in the show is superb, even if it is a little heavy-handed at times.

David, I agree that Marina should head to the DF. Of course control-freak Jero will "not approve" but he'll get over it and it's not that far of a plane ride. Anyway, as many have already surmised, Renata is likely in the family way so Jero will be suitably distracted at home.

David, I think Saul will expose himself for the jerk he is but the money is so good he is likely to stay until he gets Tatas out of town like Saul promised Augie. Once there though, he is too shiftless to keep her there and she may come whining back into town in a flash. Augie has his hands full trying to manipulate two boobs like Saul and Tatas.

Weighing in about the sweetness of this episode. I wasn't bored at all writing it up. It was such a relief to have a mostly happy episode. Roberta even made me happy. She is acting like such a dolt expecting German is so blindly in love with her he will dump his bank account aka wife. For a change her stupidity will only hurt her.

Anon 12:22 - Juan was on Don Francisco talk show last night. At least I had that in NE Ohio. I was flipping channels to get to the weather channel and lo and behold, there he was. Between staring a that smile and that hair, I didn't catch much conversation. But I had visions of a different kind of sugarplum dancing in my head when I went to sleep.

A big pajama party episode...what fun! Well, except PPants (good one!) and La Llorona. They're the ones whose face you draw on with marker and whose underwear you run up the flagpole after they've fallen asleep.

What awesome pictures; they cheered me up immensely. Radiant, all of you.

Carlos, I thought the same thing as you about Jero's gauche remark. His hostile unfounded jealousy was the equivalent of Renata's?!?! I think her jaw dropped through the floor. Let's consider how the situations were different, Jero...ummm, you actually DID have a fling! And Renata wasn't even super nasty to you about it!

Mati's being a brat. She needs to grow up before she thinks about getting married. But Carlos also needs to be less obtuse. I adore him but he is an ostrich with his head perpetually in the sand. No wonder he keeps getting hurt...can't see where he's going!

I actually watched Don Francisco last night (even though I can't stand Don F) just because Juan Soler was on. He was HILARIOUS. Adal Ramones was even more hilarious, and the two of them together are a scream. JS said that when he gets too old to play the protagonist, he'll leave television because he doesn't want to step down to minor roles. That made me a bit sad somehow.

Cheryl, I was so distracted by the delightful photos that I forgot to thank you for the recap. Thanks! I really enjoyed it; you are so adept with words. One phrase I loved was "drips honeyed words of consolation." Vivid.

Great pics. David and son--handsome Hoosiers. Lily and Madelyn, beautiful in there lovely hats and Cheryl in Taxco, making all of us jealous.

I loved the Nata and Jero scenes. Those two were so full of joy. My favorite part was when they were in the grape vat (or whatever it's called) and Nata started crying.

Laz and Kari were awesome. I love how happy they are, it makes me feel a little lighter in the heart area.

Marina needs to woman up for the sake of her babies. (and I usually FF through her scenes--so don't get bored).

I find myself FF through Auggie's scenes, too, because he's so annoys me that I can't stand to listen to his voice.

Did I see Gina screaming in the phone like a typical psychotic TN villainess in the previews for El Talisman?!!!

Cheryl: Forgot to tell you what an awesome recap it was. Lot's of great lines and more clarification of what Jero was telling Carlos. I didn't get that whole maybe you have feelings for Prissbut thing. That was important. Thanks.

Good AM, Cheryl:

I love the recap and I love the photos. The title is my recent favorite and I loved your take on the situation at the manicomio,

"Now the doctor kissing the check says here is your passport for trips out at night. Roberta seems surprised that she has just purchased get out of asylem free passes for the Locas".

You captured the action and feeling of this encounter SOOO well. Roberta surely looked the dolt when Blanca threatened her in front of Dr. Moneygrubber and Fina. Blanca is eeevil. The actress really creeped me out in that scene.

The photos are great. David you and your son are quite the knockouts! What smiles! And the twins and you are perfect in your Emilia-brand custom beanies. These photos were a delight to wake up to.

Cheryl, thanks again, amiga, for the recap and the photos. I forgot to mention how smashing you look in the hat in Taxco—quite TN worthy, I think.

Elle:
I have the same question myself! Just some musings...We can only imagine Regina's very mixed feelings. I would guess a person would pass though a very difficult process; at first she had the loss, grief and single-minded focus that her daughter was still alive. She created a career, did good work and after a very long tome fell in love again. She finds her all-too-obviously flawed 'daughter' but chooses to embrace her, and believe in her. And now she has fallen in love with her new step-daughter...

I think that Julieta Rosen in playing the character pitch-perfect. Regina had a lot of data, not all of it adds up and she has a cocktail of feeling-states to deal with. The end result in a mature person of good health like Regina is that she is perhaps happy, but also very uneasy and confused about Roberta. Really, Roberta is the Trojan daughter, no? What happens when she finds out the truth? ¿Quien sabe? I guess she will embrace Renata and still try to love Roberta, who is also her step-daughter in this convoluted plot.

Excellent title, Cheryl, followed by a perfect recap. We can follow the action but not always the dialog. Thanks for many clarifications. You wit is wonderful and I loved the alliteration.

I am flattered by your praise of the beanies. They are really simple patterns that work up quickly. The cupcakes for the twins - they did look like ice cream sundaes, Sylvia and Audrey!! - were a little harder, but fuzzy yarn hides a multitude of mistakes. Let's just call 'em all Telenovela beanies rather than Emilia beanies. I'm liable to get a swelled head! Thank you all...

A little news: Mike's mom died this morning. We were with her and she slipped away peacefully. Mike is working through his feelings - on his motorcycle. It's a lovely day and he decided the fresh air and scenery on the Colonial Parkway is just what he needs. It has been a long few weeks. Thanks to all for your notes of concern.

Guera:

ITA with your assessment of Carlos. Ambivalence is what I read in the character. Poor Mati may have just REALLY set herself up for unhappiness. Carlos' "I tried to tell her but she wouldn't shut-up" excuse is pure nonsense and Jero isn't buying it.

I was surprised that Jero had gained so much wisdom in his short stay in jail. HAHAHAHA!

Emilia- The bike ride for Mike sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Give him a big hug for all of us.

"They're the ones whose face you draw on with marker and whose underwear you run up the flagpole after they've fallen asleep." LOL Julia. Indeed. I would love to do that to PPants and Doc Tatas.

Emilia, thanks for letting us know. I'm sorry for your loss, but glad that the end was peaceful. Hugs to both of you!

What sort of faces would we draw? I'd paint huge tears on MarinaTatas, and big red I Love Lucy lips (Oh Rickyyy, waaaahhhh!) on her also. Still thinking about Priss.

Miss Priss needs some devil horns. Other than that I think I'd make her look like the tackiest naca that ever naca'd. Or maybe a villain mustache. The possibilities!

Emilia and Mike:

My sincere condolences on the loss of Mike's mom. May each of you find peace and ease in the upcoming weeks.

Abrazos,

EJ

Mike, sorry to hear about your mom. Hope you and Emilia can transition beyond this

David

Emilia and Mike - sincerest condolences for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Thanks for the recap Cheryl. Your photo of Taxco is great; I really am going to have to visit there. I loved your description of Carlos, "Time for someone to teach the other facts of life to this buffoon before he gets broken bones or sets himself on fire."

David - the joy on your face is palpable. You have a beautiful family! Enjoy the holidays with them all.

Mike and Emilia, I so sorry for your loss. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Carlos

Mike/Emilia:
My deepest sympathies. I lost both my parents through "expected" illnesses while in hospice, my mother's going for over a year, but even when you know what to expect, when the inevitable occurs, it's still a shock and process to work through. I remember taking a very long walk with my two, at that time, small sons in the metropark chain and enjoying the cool, crisp day together when my dad passed. Mother Nature can be very soothing.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Mike and Emilia, deepest condolences on your loss. I love the visual of Mike going on his motorcycle ride through the country. I agree with daisynjay, Mother Nature can indeed be soothing. I hope Emilia is doing something for herself too.

For Prissy, I would write "SLAP ME" on her face.

Mike and Emilia, I'm so sorry for your loss. Even when they are expected such losses are difficult when they actually occur. Mike is doing just the right thing by taking his feelings out into nature. I too treasure the image of him on his bike slowly letting reality settle in. I hope you are both able to find peace soon.

Just now getting to CarayCaray and what a mix of joy and sadness.

@Emilia and Mike...most of all I'm happy you were with Nelle. We all want that but often it's not the case. Although the hospice nurses say "no one dies alone...they all see their loved one who have already passed on at the moment of their death". But how much warmer to have your own living loved ones with you as well.

Mike on his motorcycle makes sense to me. When my dad died, I spent long hours by the river watching the sunlight reflecting on the ripples of the water. Friends wanted to take me to lunch but I just needed time with rivers and riverbanks and sunshine and trees.

For the joyful..... Yesssss...two handsome men, two adorable twins and one smashing recapper. My favorite kind of picture album. 'Nuff said.

May I confess I was a bit bored with this episode as well? And then reading Cheryl's recap, it somehow became much more interesting. My favorite phrase was "the kitchen jury". What a great insight...it is usually the kitchen jury in these tn's that gives us the real lowdown.

Do have to say that the playfulness of Silvia Navarro brings so much fun to the romantic scenes. I've seen her do the hazy, rose-petal, lagoon type boffs (notably with Fernando Colunga) but this exuberant pitching of underwear and rolling and giggling (and ohmigawd they can hear us too!) sort of romp was much more realistic. Good times...if vicarious.

And last night brought back Daisynjay's reflections on colors for costumes. Roberta's rented apartment is as cold and sterile as the home she grew up in. Whereas Jero's home is full of rich warm colors in every room...and rich warm friendships and love as well.

As for our impetuous Matilde...sure hopes she learns a better way of resolving misunderstandings once she marries. Temper tantrums can be cute when love is new and passion is hot but it gets old fast. And not sure I'm want someone with that quick a temper raising my children either.

Yikes..isn't it scary how we start analyzing these folks like they're real people instead of actors manipulated by the script? Better take off my beanie and get my head straight.

Ahhh, Cheryl, a fine and fun read! I think are friends ARE having a grand time portraying this motley crew we have gotten so addicted to! Roberta. You are so right, she hath loosed the hounds (bitches) of hell! Would the writers let Fina make yet another attempt on Regina's life? Would Roberta take a bullet for Regina?. . .nah! I know those two white clad coo coos are going to go out with a bang and Bert seems to be getting positioned to go out with them! She might get her comeuppance from Mrs. Germy!

Love Anibal standing up for himself, Laz and Kari finally having some fun and would like to take Mati and Tata and bang their heads together, knocking them both out! Thanks Cheryl for this fun, romping recap!

David, I'm inclined to agree with you. Do we really need Pris there? I would think that Carlos is perfectly capable of telling someone what to pour into what.

It would be appropriate as well as an act of friendship for Jerry to fire her.

"Thanks Priscila. Turns out that we don't need you here after all. Ta ta to you and your cute tatas."

Carlos

Emilia & Mike, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know that she was well loved. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

My word verificatio is therip. Very appropriate, no.

Mike and Emilia: I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Cheryl what a great recap, start to finish. I am sorry you are snowed in but a I very grateful for your talented writing.

If Carlos can draw the line with his mother, why can't he do the same with Pris? Maybe it was good thing that Jero had that little talk with him.

I loved "Excellent Adventure" of Laz and Kari, finally someone is having some fun.

David, you are blessed, what a wonderful family, thanks for sharing.

Cheryl, we need to plan our CME
Reunion in Taxco with you as our official photographer. I loved your photo.

Great pictures!!! David, much happiness to you and your family and thank your son for me.

Thank you all for your kind words. Mike and I are so fortunate to have friends all over the country - our CME family!

Mike and Emilia. . .may you find peace and comfort in the love of family and friends today and always.

Sorry I missed so much news this afternoon. I spent it with a very ill old friend reading and discussing the art section of the Sunday paper which detailed som remarkable art exhibits here. I can really feel her slipping away so I was really struck with the loss that Mike and Emilla experienced today. I am so sorry for your family's loss. I know you have both made a heroic effort to make sure her final stage was as loving and comfortable as you could both make it. Emilia you need your equivalent of the motorbike ride in the country. That soudns so healthy. Judy, I too choose walks in the woods and by rivers or on seashores to let the flow help me move on. I will hold both of you in my heart. You should feel at peace with her lovely end since you made it happen in such an admirable way.

Love all the psychological analysis of this band of actors who have given us so much pleasure. I am almost unable to stomach Constanza's slip into obsession. I think we all neeed the breathing space for the calamities that must surely be on their way with anvils and pie carts a plenty. Paz y amor, amigos

Oh Carlos, would that we all had as staunch an advocate as Matilde has in you. I'm downright envious. They didn't make enough of you, querido amigo.
