Cuando Me Enamoro #172 Wednesday 12/21/11 A bad day for Tantrum man and whinny girl... A samaritan woman miracle for Hero... heroine gets good news but ... are they?‏

RECAP BY MARTA IVETT

Happy holidays everyone!

Get ready for a thriller roller coaster ride of an episode... Lots or running around at multiple locations...

Reviews:
Connie tells Nata that Fina and Blanca were behind the whole baby scam to hurt her and Regina. Nata is in disbelief, they were at the jail nuthouse. Connie says they did.

Berta calls Fina and tells her Nata is pregnant and that Nata and Jero did not get married and it was not either of them who ‘caused’ it. (German heard her conversation)

Antonio arrives at MR manor and lets Nata and Regina know that he found Marina and that Jero did not come to MC with her. That Saul lied to them.

Tonight’s ep:
We see a strange woman in a shack with a chalis releasing smoke and she is waving it over someone who might be dead or half dead…

Nata walks away then turns around thanking God and very happy tears saying Jero did not abandon her after all. Gina says I knew it!! Connie also says she had her doubts. Nata agrees with them. Antonio, the voice of reason, brings them back to earth… If he is not at Valle de Guada or in MC, and has not contacted anyone, chances are something bad happened to him.

Dona Sabina, the strange woman, sends a young man for more herbs. She won’t give up to try to help the guy laying down as long as his heart keeps beating.
Now we see how she witnessed Augie’s men kick Jero and roll him down a hill… they left assuming he would die very shortly afterwards since they gave him a good beating.
She found Jero, noticed he was still alive and somehow dragged him on her carreta and brought him home. If God had put him in her path, she had to try and save him.
We finally get to see Jero, with weird marks on his face as if someone put his face in a 350 degree oven for an hour.

Charlie and Mati… they agree on getting married on Sunday, even if Carlos is not thrilled about not waiting or Jero. Prissy is looking at them from behind a tree.

At MR offices, Matias, Adri and Hono are discussing that German and Roberta are lovers. Hono was reluctant to admit it but then tells them that German also tried to abuse Beth. Matt and Adri drop their jaw at unison. Matt says Gonzo should know this and together they should make a decision about German. Hono and Adri are irritated about German abusing his power and role with women who are disadvantaged.

Anibal asks Carlos and Lazaro for a job and to be able to stay at LaBonita. Tells them that Augie kicked him out since now Nata is not there to ask that Augie host him. Lazaro is visibly mad…

At MR manor, Nata calls the hacienda and asks if they know about Jero. No. Then let me talk to Carlos like YESTERDAY!!

Back outside, Lazaro is not quite buying the story by Anibal. Tells Carlos this could be a trap by Augie. Allison backs Anibal up. Carlos is not willing to hire anyone without Jero’s approval. Allison tells them Anibal has nowhere else to go. What about his mom?...

Herminia interrupts to summon Carlos inside to Renata’s call.

Allison tells Anibal that if he tells them the truth about his mom’s death, they will hire him.

Melesio gets with a worker at LaBonita who tells him about Prissy being an enologa who is helping Carlos fix up the mixes for the LaBonita wine.

At MR Manor, Connie can’t believe that so many days have passed and noone has said anything about Jero. Nata gets Carlos on phone and tells him that Jero did not leave with Marina, Nata sends him to the police station to report Jero’s missing. As he and Lazaro run out, Mati is ready to celebrate that her ‘hermoso’ did not abandon his wife with Marina. Manuela is not so happy, she is worried that if he did not leave with Marina, he could be worse, he could even be dead.

Marina called Padre Seve… Padre tells her about what Saul went to see Nata to tell her that Jero had abandoned her for you (Marina). He tells her Nata is pregnant. He regrets telling her… Marina wonders how did Saul know that Jero was not with Nata… Padre wants her to return but she says she has to stay in MC to try and locate Saul to ask him to explain what he did.

Augie at his laptop saying ‘you always saw as a lesser enemy, Linares, you never realized my power…’… Augie remembers his planning with Saul that Saul would enter the plane with Jero’s ticket, get to MC with Marina and return immediately to go see Nata and tell her that his woman left with her husband… and remembers ordering for Jero to be killed/beat up. ‘you are a genius, Augie… and Nata will soon be mine… JAJAJAJA’

Melesio goes to see Priscilla and says he is representing potential buyers of wine who are interested in the product of the Valle de Guadalupe. He wants to know when the wine will be ready.

Mati and Manuela tell Kari about the news about Jero. She can only wonder how Nata must be feeling. Manuela notices Kari has the baby… gets mad at Allison for delegating her responsibility to others. Kari defends Allison for being ‘in love’.

Outside Anibal and Allison are walking. They thank each other for inspiring them to be better. Kiss.

Regina tells Nata that she just called Gonzo. He had hired a PI to find Jero to get him to show face. They convince Nata that he meant well with hiring the PI. Nata suddenly feels like going out. She asks Antonio to go with her. Gina and Connie are not so thrilled that she wants to go out at this moment. Gina asks Antonio to stop her from doing anything crazy.

Dona Sabina continues to care for the stranger… she tells the young man that if the people who did this to him find out he is still alive, they will try to finish him off, and maybe even get to her too. The young guy asks if she is not afraid he will do anything to her, she says he can’t even move. Lets wait until he wakes up and then God will tell.

Gonzo is terrified at all the news about Jero… Adri offers to go with him to accompany Nata. They all agree that Nata needs all their support right now. Gonzo and Adri leave. Mat admits he had questioned Jero. Hono says he did too, but at same time it was odd to him that Jero had done that to Nata. Jero had shown his nobility and generosity lately. Hono wonders if Jero’s dissappearance too has been planned by Fina… Hono says if Jero has not been reported as having had an accident, someone must be behind his dissappearance.

Nata had gone to visit Marina to ask when and where was last time she saw Jero. At Ensenada a couple days before she left, (so it is clear they did not see each other the day she flew to MC). Marina tells her what she and Jero talked about. She would love to be able to tell her that Jero hessitated, but he never put Marina and the babies above Nata. Nata thanks her for saying it. Marina says truth is best, no matter how painful. Marina tells Nata she has to take care of herself, her pregnancy. Nata asks who told her. Her uncle. Nata thanks her for her understanding and solidarity. Marina promises she will find Saul, anywhere he went. He is a key piece of this puzzle. Nata offers to let her know of anything she finds out too.

Back at LaB, Anibal asks Allison to help him decide to leave or to stay… They wonder where Carlos and Lazaro left to in such a hurry. Hopefully they will let him stay. Allison is counting on Lazaro letting him stay, because he would know Allison would suffer if he left.

Priscilla looks for Carlos and runs into Mati. Mati is rude with her, Prissy is trying to force Mati to tell her where Carlos went, but Mati refuses to tell her where he is, and tells her that Prissy might know more about their job as ‘enologos’ but she knows his heart better. Prissy gets anxious, Mati insists on saying ‘I don’t believe that MY Carlos will have time for you… so move it’…

The PI visits MR manor and tells them what he has done already about finding Jero. Now that he knows that Jero is not at MC he will direct his investigation to Ensenada and the airport, he will request the video tapes… maybe they can identify who boarded the plane in his name. Nata wants to go with him and gets into a loud argument with Gonzo, who would rather have her stay and rest. Antonio offers to go with the PI to identify anyone. The PI says that won’t be necessary and for their own security, he would rather go alone. Also, it is better for fewer people to find out Jero is missing and not gone. Everyone should still think that they believe Jero left her and is in MC with Marina. THE PI will visit Marina to see if she can give him a photo of Saul.

At MR offices, Hono calls the client that German is supposed to get a signed contract from. Hono finds where this signing will take place. The client, Jorena, already signed the contract but German asked to borrow his vacation house to be there with Berta. Hono summons Beth to find out the address of Jorena’s vacation home… Hono asks Beth who German went to sign the contract with when he went to see Jorena. She says he left with Berta, and furthermore, she caught German and Berta kissing in his office.
Hono is just a bit surprised, Matt is visibly angry.

Gonzo encourages Nata at MR Manor that they will find Jero… Berta arrives home. She asks why the family reunion with funeral faces. They tell her about Jero missing instead of gone with Marina. They are sure something bad happened to him. Tell her about the PI Gonzo hired. Berta asks what if Jero is hiding with ‘la doctora’. Nata goes irrate… Berta insists what if he is lying? Nata yells some more and says not all of us practice the same sport! (LOL!) you have issues. You are nuts… Adri and Connie pinch-hit in favor of Nata. Only to get yelled at by Berta that they should not butt in, they are not even family! Adri and Connie leave. Berta blames Nata for causing that. Nata yells ‘NO ITS YOUR FAULT!’… Nata leaves very upset. Gonzo yells at Berta to understand Nata. Berta yells whinning that they always defend Nata… Gonzo and Gina are left alone in living room speechless… (wow! What a family!)
Berta does not loose a breath to call Augie to let him know that everyone is sure that Jero dissappeared. She asks him what he did with Jero. Augie assures her noone will find Jero or be able to link him to Jero’s dissappearance. Berta takes a picture of her and Nata, tells it ‘don’t know why Augie did not take you instead of Jero. Only until you dissappear I will be in peace’..
Augie calls him and orders them to destroy or dissappear the videos from the airport from the day that Marina left… he will compensate them with $$$$..

Previews:
Augie counts on not being linked to Jero’s dissappearance…
But he is wrong… ‘Renata my love’ … Jero is giving signals of life…
Padre Seve assures someone (Lazaro and Kari?) that Augie is behind all this. Nata also receives some news over phone.

Jero sighting...finally!!! And oh dear, he doesn't look good at all. Those brutes even stood there kicking him in a desultory fashion before rolling him down the hill.

My favorite Nata moment, when she popped off at Berta and threw her tissue at Berta's head. That was so real!

When Berta was talking to the photo and it was next to some mask I half expected her to pick up the mask and wear it a la nut job Diego in Alborada.

Marta, thank you for getting your recap up so quickly. Nice job. You got a whole lot of details tonight. You are so good with untangling plots and conversations that I'm glad this episode was on your night.

Poor Jero. Those guys really did a number on him. I'm glad Marina quickly figured out that Saul must be involved since he knew Jero was not with Renata. I guess her brain is working again.

I just read that Juan Soler and his wife Maki celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary yesterday.
Aniversario de Bodas

It kind of made me feel better to look at the happy picture after those close ups of his pummeled face tonight.

Marta- Thanks so much for giving us so much detail and so quickly too!

Nata is going to give herself another heart attack. I think that's what Gina and Gonzo are really worried about. I did enjoy her popping off on Berta though. I bet Gina is glad she missed the teenage years in that household. :)

Jero really got the crap beaten out of him. I hope this quenches your Jero blood lust Dr. Carlos. Thank goodness for Sabina. Since she's already connected with Lzaro, Mati and Carlos, it shouldn't be too long before they make the connection and Jero makes his way home.

How efficient of Berta and Germy to get the contract signed ahead of time so that they can enjoy their dirty weekend without interruptions.

Did I hear correctly? Didn't Berta not only wish Nata disappeared, but also dead? Redemption Road is further away each episode.

Aww! Thanks for sharing that article Sylvia. I finally watched my Don Francisco recording of his Juan Soler interview this past weekend. Juan seems like a really happy dude, and it's obvious that his wife and three daughters (he has a 20 year old from a relationship when he was young) have a lot to do with that. May they have many more happy years together.

Wow Marta super fast job! Thank you. Oh poor Jero but he's alive - by a thread, but alive. Favorite moment Nata throwing the tissue at smug Roberta. Too bad she wasn't holding one of those big balls.

Most frustrating: Anibal still not saying anything about the Ughustine/Saul connection. Aggrrrghhh.

Marta:

Thank you for such a thorough recap. I know I have said this before but you ALWAYS capture the nuances of conversations that I miss. I really appreciate your work and your SPEED!

OMG Jero looked horrible, didn't he? I have never noticed Juan Soler having a hook-nose before but in those side shots his nose looked huge and hooked. Make-up?

Also was the Samaritan woman a bruja? It seemed like she had herbs and potions and images of Jesus and the saints around. I think wise healers probably use any and all the help they can get!

Thanks again Marta Ivett.

EJ

Vivi:

Who is Sabina? How is she connected to Mati, Laz and Carlos?

Thanks,
EJ

EJ, yes the bruja is pretty cool, isn't she? She said something about God giving her the gift to cure and she was going to do her best to help the poor man even though she didn't know who he is. Her nephew (or whoever that young man is) was worried because he thought Jero might be a bad guy.

EJ- Remember way back when, when Matilde ran away from the hacienda and made her way back to her and Lazaro's old family home in the south? Remember some guy broke into the old house while she was there, robbed her, attacked her and knocked her out. They she went wandering/stumbling down the back roads until she fell unconscious. This guy and another guy found her and took her to Sabina, who I think calls herself a healer (curandera), not a witch (bruja).

It turns out that Sabina knew Laz and Mati's parents really well from way back when, and know Laz as a young man and Mati as a small child. When Laz and Carlos came to get Mati from Sabina's, they promised to invite her to their wedding as a thank you. I have a feeling that invitation, and a chat about a certain missing person, is coming soon.

Oops, curandera not bruja. Got it.

Vivi:

Thanks for the reminder. This must of happened during my "hiatus" from CME. Curandera, not bruja. Thanks also for this clarification.

I have a friend (who lives in Mexico) who is a healer. She refers to herself as a bruja, perhaps somewhat jokingly. It sounds like curandera is a much more appropriate term for general use.

EJ

Didn't get to see this tonight, but yay, the curandera found Jero!

Mom thought this will mean that Jero will have amnesia. That's where this type of plot twist tends to go...but, it sounded maybe that's not the case? Amnesia would be an annoying plot twist right now.

Word verification is innishl. I hope Mom's innishl suspicion that Jero will have amnesia is incorrect.

Marta: Not only was the episode a "Thriller roller roaster ride", but your recap was as well. You led us through the highs (Nata's relief and delight that Jero did not abandon her) and lows: "We finally get to see Jero, with weird marks on his face as if someone put his face in a 350 degree oven for an hour)". So vivid Marta. This recap was marvelous.

I am hanging my head in shame that I ever hoped for Berta's redemption. She was hideous last night. ITA with everyone who enjoyed Nata's unrestrained and long overdue rant at Berta. She is despicable. Blech.

Looks like a lot more action before the finale.

I will be away until early January and unable to read the recaps. I will truly miss you all. I would like to thank the wonderful recappers for all their hard work and efforts. I also enjoy all of the comments and appreciate all of you.

Merry Christmas and until next year - God bless.

Diana

Haven't had a chance to read the recap yet & gotta run but I just needed o check in to say YAY! Beaten & bloodied but He-e-e-e's Ba--a--a--a-K!

That healer looks familiar. Is she the one who found and healed Mati when she ran away?

Güera

Deep breaths...what an episode. Marta wonderful job giving us all the detail.

I'm with Sylvia, loved loved loved Nata just letting whiney-bitch sister have it. Regina had to be rethinking who's daughter Berta really is.(And maybe hoping it isn't Berta.) And as for Berta - wishing Nata dead--oh yes she did--that puts her in the true anvil zone. I don't think she's going to get off with a slap on the wrist in this TN. Not should she. She made me sick last night.

I was cheering when I saw Jero in Sabina's care. We've got our connection to Laz--so now we just need the hook up moment between our caregiver and Laz. Bless his heart, our hero sure took a beating. Even his hair is a disaster.

Augie in his evil laugh scene--made my skin crawl. I was tempted to shish-ka-bob him myself after watching that. Disgusting.

I do like that Marina seems to have her tear ducts in order and is acting more like the mature doc we met at the beginning of this show. Not sure having her looking for Saul is a great idea--desperate people do crazy things. Think of those babies (who one of these days will start to SHOW!!! Gees.) And with every episode, I'm just appreciating Antonio more. Who would have thunk?

Diane--will miss your great comments, but wish you the best holiday!! Merry Christmas to you and yours.

vacation day--heading to the store to lay in the supplies for our Christmas Eve traditional "simple meal" and treating myself to a our local diner's awesome farmer's breakfast. Check in later.

thanks Vivi for reminding us this is the same curandera who took care of Mati and yes, she knows Lazaro and Mati from years ago and Carlos too from when they came to find Mati... now that Carlos and Mati will be married 'sunday' we might have that as the link...
I wonder how similar this will be to the CS stage at Tegua's (the other healer who took care of the hero in that one)...

ITA with you all, that Berta in trying to blame Nata and then wishing her death really killed any chance of her surviving in the end of this TN. Maybe Berta's death will be part of Fina's punishment... I don't want Fina to die, i want her to end up in jail for life but this time in a very secure one.
ITA that Augie's evil laugh scene was hard to watch... i can't think of a good punishment for this devil. I want Anibal to inherit Cruz de Amor... he and his mother's memory deserve it.

Thanks Marta. Again you've treated us with a wonderfully detailed account of last night's action. Good job.

Poor Jerry. Vivi, this is not at all what I had in mind for him. I hope there's a good plastic surgeon in Ensenata. That nose looked a mess.

I'm so glad that it was Sabina who found Jerry. He's in good hands. Thanks, Vivi, for reminding us that Sabina is invited to Mati's and Carlos' wedding. How appropriate that it will be Mati and Laz who find Jerry first. She adores her Hermoso with a very special kind of love.

Speaking of Mati, wasn't her dismissal of Pris satisfying? I especially liked the urgent little whistle at the end.

Of course Nata's rant at Roberta was long overdue. I rewound and savored that a couple of times. Now I hope the opportunity presents itself for her to go off on Augie in a similar fashion before he gets his.

Diana, I'm really going to miss you this next week, I always look forward to your comments. I hope that Brian is doing well... you haven't mentioned him in a while.

I hope that Germán and Robi get to enjoy a little quality time alone together before Honorio shows up to spoil it all. Of course Germy may now already be having second thoughts about his relationship with Roberta.

Carlos

Marta, Thanks for the terrific
summary with all the many details
vividly outlined. Just wanted to insert another part of Honorio's
conversation with Matias and Adriana in regard to German. Honorio said that German had been particularly helpful or incredible in the case of Constanza.

Thanks to all who reminded us of Sabina's appearance earlier on.

Happy Holidays to all.

(I don't comment much but do read the recaps daily and appreciate
all who write them.)

Daisy, thank you!

Bless you Carlos. Brian is still in remission. A true miracle continues! Sending the best to you and your family. I look forward to seeing everyone "next year".

Diana

Marta--It's always a pleasure to read your recaps. The title got me laughing ahead of time with that little typo--whinny girl. Yes, horses whinny and this is definitely one we can do without any more of it.

Mary--you and I have to swallow our pride and disillusions re el REAL Juan Soler, but aren't we pleased knowing that he is just as happy a guy at home as he is on stage. Smiling becomes him so well.

I can go on vacation happy that Nata will not have to cry the unhappy tears of a woman abandoned. Of course, now she will have to worry about Jero's whereabouts--not good news from the family's perspective. I loved seeing her mad and throwing the kleenex at Berta. Berta was doing her best to deflect the blame AND the kleenex.

I will have to divest the CME Emporium of more items or risk falling behind--what with new inventory coming in every day. See next entry.

Well, now that the mystery of Jero’s disappearance has had some light shed on it (and his dondeabouts revealed for the audience), let’s see what loose ends still need to be tied up in the last 8 episodes:
- Jero needs to be found.
- Saul needs to be found and made to confess.
- Augie has to be unmasked and apprehended/killed.
- Fina has to be apprehended/killed.
- Berta has to be unmasked and punished.
- Zeke’s name has to be cleared.
- Gina and Nata have to find out they are mother and daughter/Nata needs to get her $$ from Roberto.

Lesser plots:
-Alison needs to get professional help for her eating disorder.
-Anibal needs to come clean about being orphaned and take up permanent residence at La Bonita.
-Pris needs to go.
-Carlos and Mati need to get married in the Church.
-Nata and Jero need to have their civil ceremony.
-Marina, Nata and Jero need to come to some peaceful arrangement regarding the twins.

And by saying Zeke's name needs to be cleared, I also mean his murder has to come to light. At least now Alfie doubts he actually raped Berta.

NOK: Ok, I'm happy that real Juan is happy. My real hubby is looking at me strangly though, now that I'm calling him Jero.

Hmmm...trying to type around a cat sitting on the keyboard is challenging.

Marta, I have to agree with Diana (well, I always agree with Diana) but your quip about Jeronimo looking like his face had been roasted in a 350 degree oven was awesome. What a word picture. Painful indeed.

Delighted to see a re-appearance by Sabina. She is our own little Mother Teresa with her herbs (looked like a big bunch of cilantro to me, but what do I know?)and I love her dedication to healing and loving acts of kindness. She is the antidote to Fina , Berta and Uggie Augie. Restores one's faith in humanity.

Diana, blessings on your time with family...may Brian's remission be forever and may everyone have a happy Christmas.

And yes, Matilde's dismissal of Priss and Renata's confrontation with Roberta were two delicious meant-to-be-savored Christmas treats. Enjoy everyone!

Marta: Excellent recap of an emotional roller coaster of an ep.

My thoughts before finishing the comment:

Glad to see the old Marina back. I liked seeing the mutual respect back between Nata and her.

Didn’t like that they were using the same plot point re: Jero being found and nursed back to health, but now that I realize who it is, it does make sense. Mati and Laz would have grown up close to La Bonita and the chances of Sabina finding Jero was good.

Auggie certainly has gone over the edge. That laugh of his was chilling. Good job of acting. It could have so easily gone camp.

I’m surprised Carlos and Laz didn’t offer Anibal a job. I can see why Laz is suspicious. Hopefully, there will be a search party formed to find Jero and Anibal will join in and prove himself. Plus, he could tell them all he knows about Auggie.

Now that Mati is finally secure in Carlos’ love, Priss doesn’t stand a chance. Loved the “mi Carlos”.

OK. Here goes. At the risk of alienating everyone, I have to say that I’m getting a little tired of Nata’s weeping and emotional outbursts. For me it’s starting to rank up there with Marina’s poor me routine and Priss’ Mi Charlie. I love Nata. I love SN. I think she’s doing a great job. I know Nata has a lot to be upset about, but I’m afraid I’m one of those that believes we can control our emotions—to an extent at least—and she’s letting hers run wild. I don’t think it would bother me so much if she wasn’t pregnant. I keep holding my breath every time she loses it. There’s also the heart thing. Having said that, I did enjoy her calling Berta out, calling her loco. I don’t believe in violence as solving problems, but would have liked to see her punch her in the face. The tissue was a nice touch. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t been worried about her.

Berta was so disgusting. Usually, she’s better at pretending she cares. And wanting Nata out of the way. She’s going to the dark side. Can’t see her having the guts to do anything on her own, but she might ask mama to do it for her. Speaking of mama—does she have more havoc to wreak or is she ready to book out of town?

Daisnynjay: “Bless his heart, our hero sure took a beating. Even his hair is a disaster.” Laugh out loud moment.

On to the rest of the comments.

Robey

I understand about the crying thing Robey. iT's hard to watch people cry. I guess I'm ok with it because Nata/SN has done different types of crying, if that makes sense. The way she is losing it over thinking something bad has happened to Jero is different from the way she was when she thought he had abandoned her. But she is more manic now, which is not good for a heart condition or a pregnancy. Last night she was just desperate to do something, anything to get some clues to Jero's location and was frustrated at every turn. The whole scene where they wouldn't let her travel with the detective and even Tony was more useful to the detective than she was, showed how frustrated she is getting in not being able to do anything. So last week was sadness/misery/anger crying, while this week is worry/desperation/frustration crying. Plus she's had like no sleep every night since Jero's been gone. After the first few times after being dumped, Marina's crying always seemed like whining to me, and that was truly annoying.

All:

Anybody know the following:

1. Confirmed date of final?
2. How long is the final?
3. If two hours, will recapping duties be split?

Thanks Vivi, for your list of plot items still TBD.

What an enjoyable recap. Thanks Marta. Ditto on all the comments made already. One of my favorite moments -- the tissue toss. I too worry about Nata's getting so overwrought & I was a little put off by some of her rant -- but the loca comment and the tissue toss were perfect. I loved the looks on Gina& Gonzalo's faces after the the two hysterical sisters stormed off.

I've been holding out for Robie redemption -- but the picture scene & wishing Nata dead might have nailed her coffin for me.

She was amazing as she tried to turn the scene around and make the big scene all Nata's fault.

Thanks everyone for confirming who Sabina is.

The detective told them all to keep the news to themselves that they know Jero is missing rather than off with his twins (both sets) So-o-o when he gets to the Tijuana airport and finds the videos already tampered with won't that be proof that someone in that room is aiding and abeting the enemy. Berta may have tripped herself up with that one.

Diana, Have a wonderful Christmas. Thanks Carlos for asking about Brian. We are all glad to hear that he is doing well. Blessings on your whole family.

word verification is aster -- as in here in Syracuse it's still acting like fall. Where's the Snow???

Güera

Guera: "The detective told them all to keep the news to themselves that they know Jero is missing rather than off with his twins (both sets) So-o-o when he gets to the Tijuana airport and finds the videos already tampered with won't that be proof that someone in that room is aiding and abeting the enemy. Berta may have tripped herself up with that one." I thought the same thing. However, if the detective doesn't find out when it was actually done, then he wouldn't necessarily suspect anything.

Vivi: I think my problem is that I like Nata and I hate when characters I like cry. It's so sad. Besides the worrying about the baby/heart thing. That's it, I'm sure. Because it really doesn't quite have the same feel as Marina's and Priss' deal. I just know that I'm tired of seeing it. I tired of people/situations making our Nata cry. Along with Adriana, the best person in this TN.

OK, speaking of Adriana. Adore her, but I wish she would do something with that hair!

Guera- Yeah, Gina and Gozo looked like they had just been through a storm. Specifically Hurricane Nata. Followed by Tropical Storms Adri and Connie. And then unexpectedly hit by Hurricane Berta. LOL!

Diana, like Carlos said, you will be missed. Thank you for the positive update on Brian. A blessed Merry Christmas to you and very Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Carlos, yes I enjoyed Mati's little whistle of dismissal too.

Well, having been a regular hopeful for Berta's redemption I'm pretty sure after last night that ain't gonna happen. Yes, she said the only way she could be happy would be for Nata to die. Now that would include her unborn baby so Berta is just bad bad bad.

I hope Augie gets skewered. I remember how satisfying it was when Tio Maximo of Duelo de Pasiones got turned into a kebab.

Mary, LOL!! Your husband is probably thrilled to have someone with your sense of humor. Tell him you meant Hero.

EJ, I just checked TV Guide online and it looks like after tonight's episode we will not have another CME until Tuesday 12/27/11. So that pushes the Gran Final out to Thursday 1/5/12. From what I can tell it looks like a regular 1 hour episode but I'll keep my eye on it. Typically if they are 2-hour episodes then we split it up and do a tag team arrangement starting with East Coasters doing the first parts and moving westward with West Coasters bringing up the caboose.

I give up. I was all for Roberta when she had her small (teeny tiny) moments of humanity, but I give up hoping for her redemption. She may not have been happy last night but she didn't even try to not smile. Renata should've thrown the whole box of kleenex at her head instead of just one. But her (Renata) little "que?" when Antonio told her about Jero was just heartbreaking. More so than any crying could be (pay attention Martina).

Vivi, thanks for the clarification on Sabina. I was wondering. It's so much better to have this blog now and know everything that's happening!

And at least we don't have to worry anymore about Anibal now that he's out of Cruz. I was concerned for his safety. Why didn't he tell Laz about the attach from Augie? That would've helped his case. He should inherit Cruz when Augie is (hopefully) dead, and he and Alison can get married and live there happily ever after.

Thank you so much Marta Ivett for another winner. I agree that your attention to detail was so perfect for this information packed hour.

I don't know if it was mentioned yesterday but I was struck with a detail from Germy's talk with Roberta when she asked if he would do anything for her would that include leaving his wife. He responded that he wanted to leave details about Gemma out of their relationship. In other words, Roberta heard that she was going to get her way since he said he wanted to do so many things for her but HE ISN"T LEAVING GEMMA, skank! HA. And yes the smack down by Renata was so overdo and thankfully it took place in front of naive Regina and Gonzo. The next reveal will be so fun when Isidro gets his book of facts together. And I look forward to Roberta learning that she isn't getting the money either.

Diana, you are such a wonderful contributor to C2 in general and your comments have been so wise and funny on CME, I will miss you. Happy Holidays, see you next year. I am glad too that Carlos asked about Brian. What wonderful news that he is still in remission. We have much to be thankful for in this season that draws out gratitude for a good year.

I meant to say that Renata's outburst was over DUE, not an overdo, I agree she should have done more. HA.

I have the greatest respect for curandera's and their herbal, natural mediciines to help so many conditions. A rehab organization in Española NM is collaborating with a group/school of curanderas near Cuernavaca, Mex. to provide naturalist therapies to people trying to overocme drug addictions. They are having substantial success in cases where more traditional treatment has been ineffective. Our Jero is lucky to have been found by Sabina. I love her philosophy of caring for him since he seems to have been thrown in her pathway and is still breathing. She also wants to protect him from possible detection by the band of baddies that dumped hi over the barranca. Great make up job, no? Wow, our pretty boy has been baked in a cookie over!

Thank you so much Marta. Always love to check my understanding of the events with your detailed recaps. Last night sure was exciting! Hallelujah brothers and sisters who have given up the redemption of Roberta! I went back and relistened when she held that picture of her and Renata. She is indeed b-b-b-b-b-bad, bad to the bone! She has no reason other than just being a dyed in the wool bitch for hating Renata so. I think I am looking forward to her unmasking more than any other plot point, even the drawing and quartering of Auggie and the dismemberment of Fina. I want to see Gonzo and Regina's shock and horror turn to rage and I want to see the load of pain and anguish lift from Renata's eyes and shoulders and heart. . . .

, , ,Robey, that should make up for how painful it is to see Renata doing all her various permutations of crying. It's gonna be good.

Thank you Marta -- enjoyed the comments as usual also!

Uh, NOK, I'll take that unused ticket to Paris. Maybe I'll look up Martin, he of the turtlenecks, from Teresa while I'm there.

Don't we have some meaningful word verifications, if they aren't, we MAKE 'em work! I love it...

Marta, what an episode you drew. And such a fantastic recap. Just when I think Spanish is sinking in a wee little bit, here comes an ep such as this one and I can't wait to read the recap to see what everyone was really saying. Thanks loads.

My favorite moments have been mentioned - Renata's smackdown of Roberta, Matilde's most excellent dismissal of Pris, Augie's maniacal laughter (that man ain't right!) These actors are so, so fine. The Augie fellow (I never remember real names) has just got to be having so much fun with his part.

Merry, merry Christmas everyone, whatever you do and whomever you celebrate with. This is the neatest family EVER and I'm going to miss all this when it is over.

THANK YOU, MARTA!

Yay, finally we see Jero and Sabina is taking care of him! And Renata knows he didn't abandon her!

Also Renata finally lets Roberta have it. That pot has been simmering a long, long time.

AND Mati rediscovers her self-esteem!

What an excellent episode. We must be nearing the end :)...oh, no, wait...that is sad.

Ughustine... hee hee. I am maniacally twiddling my fingers and chuckling awaiting his downfall. It better be good.

Thanks for your recap Marta! Wow, I can't believe there are so few episodes left.

Lila: I'm with you. I'm more excited to see Berta's downfall than anyone elses.

Robey

Cap'n Sylvia SB: What?? Tonight's the last one until Dec. 27?? Nooooooooooooo.

Julia: I know - I can't believe it's the end. I'm very new to this 'family' but you are all so wonderful, what am I going to do without you (and Jero)? I don't know that I'll watch another TN - this was my first. Are all of you going to watch the next one? I don't even know what it is - all I know is Jero is going away - never to be seen again. boo hoo

Gran Final es Viernes el 6 de Jenero!

Lila

Oh! Thanks Lila. I was off by a day. Probably can't count, math was always my worst subject.
