Cuando Me Enamoro #167 Wednesday 12/14/11 Augie smells victory, Fina takes matters into her own hands... Nata debating herself: Should I stay (believe you) or should I go (forget you)...

 By Marta Ivett
Repeats:
Alfo and Manuela: Allison is not here. She went with Anibal and she went to get the moto with him.  The man will last so little for your granddaughter, she better enjoy while lasts.
Anibal and Allison pick up the moto… he will give her a ride back to LaBonita. But have to go somewhere else before we get back.
At Renata’s room in LaB, the Doctor arrived.
He approaches reluctantly… did not know she was pregnant too.
How long along? A month, month and a half?
Anibal goes to Padre Seve, tells him want to confess because he is almost sure Agustin had to do with Nata and Jero’s wedding not happening…  Padre seems to have seen a ghost. Anibal says don’t know what to do with this info, he is my dad. Padre asks how does he know. Heard him say he would prevent the wedding. Was talking to a man about a plan… a man named Saul… Padre has gone from seeing a ghost to deer in headlights stare. Padre urges Anibal to talk. Anibal is reluctant, noone will believe him above his dad. Padre says find a proof that you are telling truth. Otherwise cannot commit the sin of ommission for fear. Anibal does not want his dad to make others suffer, he always manages to make others do as he wills… like he did with my mother.
Doctor says the faint was not caused by the pregnancy but by a heart aurhythmia (sp?)
Adri suggest her mom’s cardiologist. But Dr says can’t travel until she gets an EKG and visits cardio at Ensenada. Nata is in a hurry to leave…
Nata with Gina in bedroom at LaB…  Nata promises Gina to do the EKG. Will do it for the baby. She would leave if it was for her. Gina says the baby will give her the will to go on. Both Gina and Nata are upset…
N: Why did he leave me, Gina? He knew he was at liberty to talk to me and tell me anything, so why did he leave me?
G: Don’t understand his actions and can’t accept he did this to you.
(strong hug of support)
Hono and Gonzo at MC are having coffee, Both are outraged at what Jero supposedly did to Nata. Gonzo says he will hire an investigator to find Jero and force him to assume his cowardness. Will force Jero to face Nata… will force him.
Ines and a worker at the center give the cops a picture of Corina…
At manicomio, Blanca and Fina are hoping tonight things will go well… Fina is very bossy with Blanca and she bounces back at her, not liking it one bit. Each one has contributed to the society. When we get out, I will call the shots… because I have the moolah. I don’t have to beg like you do with Berta.
When Blanca leaves, Fina gives her a devilish stare… (she has something in her mind).
Carlos very frustrated the doctor was only able to take one hand’s bandages away. The other one is not ready, and the more he uses it the slower the wounds will heal. He gives up.
Anibal meets back with Allison, he is bit nervous. He asks if he can trust her. She reminds him she already shares his secrets about his dead mom and she has not told a soul. Anibal says will need your help again. Sure.
Padre gets home to church, talks himself saying he does not understand anything. What do Augie and Saul have to do with one another? And you Marina, why did you leave with Jero? Hard to believe he left Nata after he told me he loved Nata with all his soul. There is something that does not quite fit. I have to find out.. what really happened and why Saul had meetings with Augie.
Antonio at LaB asking Gina what Dr said about Nata. So she does have a cardiac condition. Gina says it would not be hard to believe, Nata and Berta have the same dad, so Nata could have inherited the condition too. Antonio thinks to himself that this is another proof that Nata is your daughter and not Berta.  Then they change subject to Jero’s leaving. They both are in disbelief that Jero would do this. Gina asks what if he was forced? Only that way would she believe he would do it. She would put her hands in the fire for Jero. He would never leave Nata. Antonio tells her if she is right, only time and God will tell.
The God rep on earth, Padre Seve, is trying to call Marina… but her number is out of service. Where are you Marina? Where?? He calls her MC office and hospital but they have not seen her. MY God, help me clear this all up, I beg you.
Nata tells Adri it is incredible how patterns get repeated. My mother had the same thing happen. She was abandoned and raised me alone. Adri says the difference is Jero has not found out you are pregnant. Nata says ‘and he will never know’. Adri raises a little quiet protest. What if he finds out and comes looking for you? Nata doubts that he will care. He left me. And at that point, he decided for all of us. So I don’t care. My child will grow without its dad but will have lots of mom. (she is very upset by now, great acting by SN). Adri reminds her it will also have a godmother to protect it… and a honor grandmom like Gina who will adore it, two ‘dad’s like Matias and Don Gonzo… that child will have lots of love and people to spoil it. Nata is hopeful, it will not need its dad, because it won’t need a Jeronimo Linares. (another strong hug in support for Nata)
Mati and Kari are arguing about Prissy… Kari reprimends Mati for stepping aside and letting Prissy make her feel ‘lower category’.  She threw a line at you and you fell hook line and sinker.  She is a hypocrit. She fakes nice and sweet in front of him but she brings out her claws in front of you. Mati whines now you say I am the one to blame!
Kari says even the kiss must have been provoked by Prissy. Mati blames Chalie. Kari insists as ‘enologos’ they can share language. But you… you own his heart. With you he feels other things. You love Carlos, right? Yes. Then defend your love. Fight for him!
At the apartment, German is attending a call by his wife, leaving the apt after smelling a garment of Roberta’s (YUCK)  … Julieta runs into him… and questions him if he is new in building. Then she recognizes him from Gonzo’s wedding once he tells her his name.  He gets frozen cold… That woman, Gema, is your wife, right? I am the ‘fake’ girlfriend of Matias. Did your wife and you move here? No, bought the apt for my son. For when he comes visit to Mex. I come every now and then to check on it. It’s a small small world..indeed!  As she leaves he looks her top to bottom over his shades… YUCK!!
At jail, Honorio is reassuring Connie… she asks how he could stand this when he was there because of Blanca… he replies because if you, kept thinking about you.  Connie appologizes for being so dumb. HE says don’t worry, lets look forward. BTW, have news for you. The video cameras caught Corina’s face and also a woman who works at center says she might know the area where Corina lives. Connie gets hopefull although crying.
Manuela tells Kari and Mati that Nata will return to Mex with her family as soon as she gets a medical clearance. Kari understands Nata, LaB must bring her lots of bad memories. Mati says we will have to wait and see what happens with el hermoso. Maybe he is waiting for Nata to leave to come back. It is possible.
Antonio gets to church, tells Padre that they do know Marina left with Jero on same flight. Also tells Padre about Saul’s visit to LaB and what he told Nata, although he was drunk. Padre wonders why didn’t he come tell me instead of Nata? Antonio says you are right… it is very strange. Padre says the day Jero came to talk to Marina he said he loved Nata. So there is something else … come with me to see Saul, I will ask him in his face and I will know if he is lying or telling the truth.
Augie goes to LaB, Nata tells him Jero abandoned her. He left with Marina. What are you going to do? Go home to my house and leave everything that reminds me of Jero. Augie asks her not to leave. She insists… HE asks are you sure?...
At manicomio… Blanca and Fina meet up with Leandro the crummy doctor. Blanca also wants to leave. Leandro says you pay me the way I want and then you can go too. So Blanca stays with Leandro while Fina heads to utility room with a gallon of gas in hand. Fina pours the gas all over.
Blanca has a syringe and nails Leandro in the back several times with it. He falls to floor while Fina makes spaghetti out of the power wires… and then makes them touch the gas that she spilled… it is a miracle there wasn’t an immediate explosion … everyone goes beserk in building, Fina and Blanca both escape and meet up out in the street.
At LaB Nata is remembering intimate moments with Jero. Background song says ‘I am here trying to get up from this new blow’… She can’t understand … keeps remembering… when he said they were writing a new love story together…  if you had told me you were leaving with her you would have broken my heart but face to face, not like this.  (remembers when they went to step on the grapes together recently)… and the fireworks with the ‘marry me again’ sign.  Their making love afterwards. Song continues ‘this time I will free myself from your lies and will leave’…
Fina and Blanca are out on the street, get rid of the white robes… Fina insists they go to the church right away to get Blanca’s hidden money. Blanca says the post office is closed, Fina says louder ‘but not the church, so we can go get the key!!’.

Again Nata in bedroom, gets a shirt of Jero’s from the armoire… hugs it, kisses it and remembers the not so happy moments when they first arrived together at LaB and he asked Lazaro to put her bags in the guest room… then at the beach when he rejected her request to make love and she told him this was her last time requesting and he would not touch her again. Back to present… you didn’t even take your things…. How  do you want me to forget you, Jero!! Tell me how to forget … song says ‘its better that way’… she reminds when he went to Cruz de Amor and accused her of being ‘Augie’s current lover… after not showing up at the appointment/date… and sends him the divorce papers instead…  back to present. Now won’t only have to hate your absence, but also your presence. You decided to leave me… very well. You will not be in my life anymore, you decided for the both of us.
Out in MC somewhere, Fina seems to be waiting for Blanca. She comes out with the key. Blanca asks if Fina called Berta… (Fina says yes, not sure if she really did, but says Berta will wait for us at an agreed location). They head away. Right through a high bridge… (hmmm!) … Blanca is running, Fina stops her, saying she is out of breath, have to rest. And then Fina gets the scapular and chokes Blanca with it from behind…  Just as Blanca says today we are free, tomorrow we will be rich and powerful, this key will be our passport… Fina chokes Blanca and tells her no, not ours, it will be mine.. because at this moment  our association is over. I don’t need you. I don’t need you anymore.  Goodbye forever, Blanca… (Fina pushes her off the bridge the stares at her like a mad serial killer, even waving goodbye at Blanca’s body which is spitting black blood from mouth and nose… (flattened brain/skull for sure).
Blanca,… blanquita, my queen… thank you again… Goodbye!  (runs away happy)
At MR manor, Gonzo and Berta are having breakfast. Gonzo asks the maid to prepare Nata’s room for her. Berta asks why. Nata will return to this house. Yesterday your brother confirmed that Jero abandoned Nata to go with that doctora.  Berta sarcastically comments that that is bad news.
Gonzo reads the paper and gets alarmed. He has read the news of the fire at the manicomio at the reclusory. Gonzo is breathing hard worrying about how Nata will take these news, with everything that is happening to her.  Berta instantly looks like she just ate nitroglycerin lozenges and they are burning up her throat… Do you think my mom… I mean Josefina … would have died? Gonzo does not know, he will find out at the reclusory right away. Berta thinks to herself. Surely you’re alive. I am sure you had to do with the fire. You CANNOT BE DEAD.
Julieta calls Adri, tells her she saw German and Berta in the building… and that she saw them kissing the other day as they went in the apartment.  Adri is excited to finally get some evidence that something IS going on between Berta and German.
Gonzo calls Matias… tells him to make sure Nata does not find out what happened to the mental health center. Matias tells him in return that Nata has some cardiac condition… which puts Gonzo to think… same as Berta?... Even worse… not a word of the Fina issue to Nata… Matias asks about Connie’s case. Gonzo feels very grateful to German. He has won my gratitude and trust for life. He made the measure with our family and that is priceless… Gonzo asks when they will return. Mat says don’t know now until Nata gets cleared for traveling.
Fina meets Berta at parking lot… yerba mala nunca muere… Berta is not really happy to see her. Asks her if she caused the fire. How nice you know me so well… Berta says for her disgrace she does… Fina says since I made so many sacrifices to raise you so comfortably, now you owe me. I need you to register at a hotel so I can stay there… Berta will do but not happily… She will take her somewhere noone will recognize or find her. Takes her in the car (convertible) and tells her to duck…
Augie returns to LaB, runs into Gina and Nata… they are heading to doctor at Ensenada. Augie offers to take them… says he was thinking of going to Ensenada anyway… he will be glad to take them.  Lazaro is nodding, but is not so sold on the idea. But he has to comply since Nata and Gina accept the offer… Augie lets them go ahead, but turns around and smiles / grins at Lazaro… (this cannot turn out well)…
Previews:
Fina toasts to Fina for her victory.
Nata tells Carlos and Lazaro.. she does not want to hear anything of LaB or Jero once she leaves.
Augie offers to Nata that his love is so big that he is willing to take care of her child with her.

So annoyed with Anibal not wanting to tell what he knows straight out. I hope he or Padre Severino find the evidence they need en punto and do something.

My word verification is toste, which is what I will drink to Blanca's satisfying end. Live by the sword, die by the sword, I say!

Thank you Marta Ivett for getting this fine recap up with style and speed to enhance our enjoyment. You really hit the high spots so well. Wasn't this more fun than what Lila and I pulled for episodes. I hate to say I actually enjoyed the bridge scene. Fina does ply her craft so very well. Bye bye Blanca! We never did find out much about you other than you are a skunk.

I am glad Kari is counseling Matilde not to swallow the you are lower class and therefore I deserve Carlos an you don't line of nasty Priss.

Renata and Regina continue to salve our nightly wounds as they grow closer in clinging to each other. They have become each others greatest comforts.

Anibal may be a bit disappointing, Annaleigh but for a young kid, he is doing well and I am relieved that Padre Sev advised him to tell the right people. He really acted wisely for a change.

Marta, mightily done amiga. Ah well, so much for my theory that Blanca was connected with the wine country and would come back to wreak havoc. RIP Blanca of the country names.

Yes, we are cutting Anibal some slack because he is so new to this nasty mess of vineyard wannabes. Little dude, if you can finger daddy dearest you might possibly inherit. Think about it!

I hope Julietta didn't play her hand too far forward. Time will tell.

Thanks again Marta!

Marta, gracias for the fun and thorough recap. I like the title, too.

Again we find ourselves on our favorite footbridge of doom! How many of our telacquaintances have met or nearly met their ends in that exact same spot? If only Blanca had held on long enough to take Fina down with her. On the other hand, Fina needs a more agonizing demise.

To heck with evidence, Anibal should have told Renata everything he knows. They have a good relationship even though they've only known each other a short time. I think she would believe him. I was surprised she let Augie drive them to Ensenada. She's definitely distanced herself from him lately...every time he comes near she backs away a little and usually crosses her arms, and she's been speaking to him in a very measured way rather than with her normal effusiveness. I thought she'd finally caught on that he was bad news.

Good for Kari, giving Mati that pep talk. Now that she's found her own self-esteem, she's the poster child for seizing your own happiness. Mati should never have let that witch convince her that she wasn't "on their level" anyway. Who'd want to be on a level with a heinous leech like Priss? Not I.

Thanks for the superfast recap! The antenna, which was working so well this morning, picked up squat this evening. Fina did get that key first, right? She'd have to, but does she even know what the key goes to? They talked about it but I can't remember if Blanca was stupid enough to tell Fina what exactly it was for.

And why on earth do Renata and Regina need someone to drive them to Ensenada? They're grown-ups! They can both drive. And Ensenada isn't that big or complicated. Really!

kelly

Well, they probably don't want Renata to drive if she's having fainting problems. Regina could drive, but she doesn't know the area much at all. Plus she's kind of a nervous nellie. And they'd have to borrow a car anyway; maybe Laz would prefer to take the time to drive them rather than let flaky Regina drive his :). But Laz KNOWS how evil Augie is, or at least has a pretty good idea. He should have insisted that he desperately needed to go to Ensenada for something anyway. Or at least he should follow them.

Marta, you've done a fantastic job as always. A thousand thanks to everyone else this week as well!

I'm way too tired tonight to make much of a coherent comment but I had to chime in to celebrate Blanca's demise. We never really figured out what her deal was but at least she's out of the picture now. Poetic justice is oh so satisfying.

Amy

Good Morning, Mrta! Wow! Now YOU got a bullet last night. What an episode! Thanks in advance, off the work (where I will cheat and read it) more later.

Oh. And just had to say, just like I dreaded, Renata is going to let Auggie take her to the hospital. Looks like Regiona's with them though. Man! Thank you!

Lila

Marta, thank you for the excellent recap. The title was perfect. Your details always add so much, and your descriptions are marvelous: "Padre has gone from seeing a ghost to deer in headlights stare" and "Fina gives her a devilish stare" are but a few.

May I say that I love Laz? His facial expression when Augie was asking to drive Regina and Nata was priceless. Incredulous and on the verge of disgust - he hit every right note. May I say that I despise Augie? I wanted to rush at the TV and pummel him into unconsciousness, using only his jacket. The conceit, gaul and treachery of the man knows no bounds.

I've ceased to be surprised at anything Fina does anymore. The shock value is gone. Just another murder. Just another day.

While I wish Anibal had been more forthcoming, at least he said something.

Kelly, I was also wondering if Fina knew the exact whereabouts of where the money was stashed. By her gleeful look, I guess she must know?

Cheryl, your "Renata and Regina continue to salve our nightly wounds as they grow closer in clinging to each other" was so true and beautifully stated.

ITA with you Sylvia about Julietta. I wish she hadn't spoken so freely - I would have loved to have had German and Berta caught in the act. Preferably by his wife who will promptly divorce and leave him peniless.

Diana

Thank you so much Marta. What a great morning read. What an episode! Fina is back! I had to chuckle watching Fina and Blanca in their sweat suits jogging through DF like two nice ladies out for an evening run. I had flashbacks to Blanca dashing away successfully from the whole MR clan and the DF police on multiple occasions, in 5 inch stacked heels, with a huge purse, and her big bazoomas swinging everywhere. No wonder she had no problem continuing to run without stopping since now she was running in proper clothing and shoes! LOL!

Well, since she and Fina mentioned the post office being closed, I assume Fina knows which post office box holds the cash. Did you notice Fina slipping something into Blanca's pocket when she helped her out of her robe?

Marta I love that you included lyrics from Nata's new sad song in your translation. Whoever chose the music for this tn paid a lot of attention to detail and chose just the right songs to fit characters and situations.

Padre Sev not only gave Ani good advice, but also jumped to action. Of course we know Saul already left town with all his new cash, so finding him will not be so easy. Now Ani wants to find proof. I'm worried for the kid. I wish he would at least tell Carlos and Laz if he doesn't want to go to Nata with his suspicions yet.

Thanks for the recap Marta. The Renata scenes are really tough for me as SN is such a good actress and is conveying her pain so well.

Wow, Fina made Blanca fly so soon; I thought we were going to have to wait at one or two more episodes. ITA Diana that Fina's antics cease to shock but I'm dreading her latest plan to kill Regina. At this point I think Regina's safe but I'm sure the writers will allow some type of torment from Fina to occur. Hiss!

As Augie's horrible plan continues to wreak havoc, I am looking forward to his unmasking. Anibal is on the right track and being new to this, as Sylvia noted, he is only scratching the surface of how evil his Dad is. Cheryl & Vivi - yes, the big shocker for me was Padre S actually gave good advice - clearly an ultimas capitulos miracle!

I too loved the look on Laz's face, Diana. His expression completely captured his disgust. Can't wait 'til Augie goes down.

I hope we find out soon where Jero and Marina are. Since Augie is lower than low, I'm really concerned for Marina (as we know that Jero will live).

Are puppies that content to be held like babies? It makes me want to get a cute puppy of my own.

Delay in our meeting start this morning, so a chance to check in and say hello to all. many thanks to our wonderful recappers for all the detail. Wow, I'm missing some fun moments, though rather glad I can't see Nata's agonizing and I'm sure the disgusting sneers of Augie.

I was hoping Ani would spill what he knew, but I guess that would just wrap things up to fast. As for Fina...man, I missed the Bye-bye Blanca moment. Darn. Any bets where Berta takes Fina to hide out?? Hello, wine country.

Hope to a few minutes to myself later and check in again.

". . mala yerba nunca muere. ." Amen, Marta! Thank you for this recap that manages mucho chuckles despite the anxious note it ended on!! Oh, my, gosh! I am so glad this is not Friday and we're ending with that f-u look Auggie gave Lazaro. I'm hoping our young folks will become a dynamic duo and provide just the critical information that is needed to stop this train wreck! Annaleigh, Vivi and others who have watched many novelas, have you guys ever seen so many tragic, dramatic ups and downs between the lead couple?

So many things need to fall together at once, many of you are better at doing that kind of summary/analysis. I just get a bad feeling about Padre Severino, like he will provide some crucial evidence or FIND crucial evidence but be killed by Auggie before he can present it. . .

Better do some work, can't wait to see what y'all think. Thanks again Marta for a rollicking and funny recap!

Lila

Great recap, Marta, nicely detailed, excellent translations, and a nifty title. Well done.

I'm both impressed and annoyed with the writers. Three entire episodes and we are can only guess what has happened to Marina and Jerry.

I'm not so quick to applaud the padre. He is delaying things and putting Aníbal at risk by agreeing with him that he needs to gather more proof.

I had expected more of a struggle out of Blanca and a bit more closure but loved Fina's farewell... that was a nice touch.

Carlos

Lila- TN main couples always tend to have a lot of ups and downs. I will say this about Nata and Jero, they have had some major evil plotters trying to ruin their happiness. Many TN couples let really small trivial stuff get in their way, argue about meaningless stuff, and give up easily. But, what I have appreciated about this couple, since they got back together, is their ability to have real discussions and arguments about important stuff, without it ending in yet another break-up. They've been acting like adults, particularly Nata, about some stuff that would send weaker couples running. I think this is particularly why Nata swings back to thinking Jero could not have done this and something must be wrong, even after she has moments of grief and anger.

Yah, Vivi, I saw Fina put something in Blanca's pocket. . .wonder what's that's about? Probably something that will throw police off her trail (not hard to do) and pin something on the blank Blanca. Blanca thought she was a Baaaaaad Bitch, but Fina is Badder!

Lila

Thanks, Vivi, those are important points. It's been refreshing not to have a couple that broke up over poorly-crafted juveline plots of a rival or a lie told by a stranger. . .I wish she would hold on to the trust she and Jero worked so hard to build after some MAJOR boulders in their relationship road. Makes for great entertainment and a FUN blog, hunh?

Lila

Karen: "Are puppies that content to be held like babies?" In my experience - yes, some are. My fur child is a sheltie (now 3) who still loves to cuddle and be held and doesn't know any better than to stare at me with loving looks. She is pure joy.

Diana

Good work, Marta.

Not just puppies but kittens do, too. My little Carmen knows she's my baby.

Nothing Fina does shocks me anymore. She is as evil as Carlota of ENDA and has about as much maternal feeling as Gabriela of FELS. And she owns her evil.

I'm actually wondering if the appropriate ending of this series would have Fina and Auggie doing each other in. He's more perverse than Fernando of FELS. I've called him a cannibal (metaphorically) and I have no reason to change my opinion.

Good job, marta. I also loved the way you shared the lyrics with us as they so mirrored the emotions that Nata was going through. Her memories only reinforced the fact that maybe Jero COULD havedone this to her -- because once before he brought her to the heights of love only to send her to the guest room. I thought that the memory of the reunion and the straightforward way they dealt with problems lately would reinforce her conviction that he couldn't have just left her. But she has memories of his earlier coldness that seem to be winning he over. Thank heaven there is Regina who has unwavering faith in Jero and also Laz who seems not to believe what is being assumed about Jero.

Julia, I think that the coldness Renata has exhibited toward Auggie was mostly because she didn't want to cause problems in her marriage. I'm not sure that she was on board with the nasty things that Jero said about him. I think that she still basically thinks that Auggie is her dear friend and a "caballero" as Regina called him when he offered them a ride.

I'm impressed by Berta's acting. That is a very fine line which she needs to walk to let us see her nastiness while not letting anyone else see it. When Gonzo told her about Nata's return and the supposed proof that Jero had run off with la doctora her facial expression was so subtle and expressed both feelings in fleeting seconds.

Güera

Lila,
I too saw Fina put something in Blanca's pocket... i thought it was the scapular after Fina took the key out of it... but it could have been, like you suggest, something incriminating that puts the blame on Blanca for things Fina has done before.

Yes, it's the little details in actions and facial expressions, body language that can really enhance the story, isn't it?

I wonder how the big reveals will happen? What's up with the fingerprints? What is Anibal planning that he needs Alison's help? Is Super Laz going to do some investigating of his own after Auginstein leaves: this whole thing must reek of what happened to poor Zeke! Will Padre Severino survive to share what he finds out? Oh. I guess that's why we're all watching. So. Darned. Exciting!

Lila

Karen- I have a chihuahua named Chalupa that needs to be carried several times a day or she is not happy.

Thanks again Marta, you have given us great details to chew on this morning. Lila, ITA we are all drawn together trying to puzzle out this wonderfully twisted and turned plot. Looking back it has really had lots of detials and so many unexpected changes just as you think you have the plot wokred out. The writers keep throwing changes, and interesting and plausible ones. We are all enjoying our beanies but they have been fashion accessories appropriate to the season rather than needing to be religned with new aluminum foil or deep space scanners to put up with what the writers dish out each episode. I have found this TN very satisfying almost every night. Now that it is so cold and dark early, I truly look forward to sitting in a comfy chair to indulge myself each night.

Martaivette--Splendid rendition, especially of the description of Blanca taking her flying lesson.

It was interesting to note that the bridge had no traffic under it. And yes, Vivi, I saw her stick a piece of folded paper in Blanca's pocket. It will surely be significant, since the camera zeroed in on it. Blanca--QEPnoD.

In the avances, it looks like Fina is getting set up either in Jero's old apartment or Germy's hideaway.

Hmmm, Germy's hideaway would be quite dangerous for Fina----maybe Berta wants it that way??? Germy surprises Fina, suspects she's a burglar, bonks her cold, calls the cops and she's back in the hoozegow. OTOH, she could bonk him out permanently and Berta would be rid of a dangerous blabbermouthy blackmailer. Either way, she wins---Aack what am I saying here?

In defense of Renata giving up on Jero so quickly, she is in a fragile emotional and delicate physical state. Had it been otherwise, she would have been the lead investigator on why can't we find Jero--and Marina. To horse!! Charge!!

Carlos, especially, should be suspicious of Jero's disappearance as voluntary, since, as patron, he has been the day to day manager of LaB, no small job, even for a tn galan. For him to completely disappear for two days would not be like him. Carlos and Anibal need to have a talk.

Same goes for Regina. She and the padre need to talk. As close as she and Jero were, you'd think he would let her know where he was and whether he had indeed chosen Marina.

And yes, airlines (at least some years ago) would tell you if a certain person was on a flight. It happened to me when I showed up (a day early) to meet someone from a long overseas flight and he wasn't on it. His name was not on the manifest, but when I asked about the same flight, the next day, they acknowledged that he indeed was on that flight. I left rather red-faced, but at ease.

Cuddle notes on Willa: she is a totally affectionate baby even though at almost 70 pounds and seven years old, she does not get picked up any longer. She is an excellent hugger and likes to put her head over my shoulder if I get down on my knees to her level. She also likes to come in when I am sitting in certain places and put her nose under my chin for a quick cuddle. Like a toddler, she likes to stay close when I move from room to room. She is also a dancer and twirls in circles when she is exicted.

Her communication lines include talking with an owl each of several falls. A coyote that lives down the hill has been known to knock on the bedroom window/door early in the morning to try t oget her attention and I know they commune iwth the fence carefully between them when she spends time outside alone. She is also affectionate with small children and puppies.

My observation with Willa and the many cats I used to live with over the years is that the more you pet and cuddle with them when they are little, the more affectionate they will be as an adult.

Here is a little distraction from the evil that happened yesterday.

Great job Marta! It is wonderful to wake up and find your excellent recap ready to go!

I felt this episode was a bit of a snooze fest, the only exiciting scene was Fina dumping loca Blanca over the rail !

I listed a few comments that have been on my mind...

Augie has to have Jero and Marina tied up somewhere. Wonder who will be the hero that stumbles upon them, Laz I hope!

Conie is always pretty in pink, but I find the inside of her home dark and dismal, not like her personality at all. She is sweeet if not a bit of a dingbat.

I love Adri, hope to see her in more TN's, she really reminds me of a young Linda Ronstadt.

Dr. Tatas is one of those intellegent women who are constantly making stupid decisions when it comes to men. How she dated Saul to begin with is beyond me. She really believes what she wants to believe, just like Jero being the "love of her life" bet she said the same about Saul when she was in love with him!

Thinking about this, the only person with half a brain seems to be Laz.

word verification: putsh...what fina did to blanca ..she putsh her over the rail!

Hi, Marta Ivett:

Thank you for the excellent recap. You were on a word-smithing roll last night.

I loved—"Was talking to a man about a plan… a man named Saul… Padre has gone from seeing a ghost to deer in headlights stare. Padre urges Anibal to talk. Anibal is reluctant, noone will believe him above his dad. Padre says find a proof that you are telling truth".

Your writing has terrific assonance and imagery here! I just hope the padre has not condemned Anibal to a horrible fate at his father's hands by suggesting that he should obtain proof of Augie's dastardly plots.

Thanks again, Marta for the recap.

All this talk about Padre S reminds me that padres are typically not treated very carefully in these telenovelas. Since they get to hear confidential information they are very often given the opportunity to meet their God earlier than might be expected. I hope Padre S doesn't get murdered by Augustin. I'm worried for Anibal but even more worried for Padre S. In these high-mortality-rate telenovelas usually at least one member of the clergy gets bumped off.

NOK, great list of shopping items, and just in time for the holidays!! I think I'm going to go for the flannel jammies. The ones Renata was wearing last night looked very comfortable. My current flannels have trailers and pink flamingos on them, but Nata's red plaid with black velvet pockets look much classier.

I like the discussion about loving pets. It really put a smile on my face this morning. What a sweet bunch of folks in our little study group. But I'm glad we have our snarky sides too, because our rants and barbs make for the most interesting reading.

Few comments before reading the cap and comments.

I thought, oh there’s still 3-4 more weeks I have time to ease myself back in and then I realized that actually translated into only 15 more eps, so I jumped back in last night. It wasn’t too painful.

WHERE THE HELL IS JERO?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Blanca dead? She had her hand in between the whatever it was that Fina was using to strangle her, maybe she was just unconscious, which means she couldn’t tense up when she went over the bridge (a friend of mine was in a car accident and the only reason she didn’t have serious injuries was because she fainted before she was hit) and she landed in dirt. Her eyes weren’t open, either. However, there was blood coming out of her mouth.

Fina is like an animal that once they taste human blood they become man eaters—once she killed, she’s had no problem continuing. She’s completely wacko now. Good, now she’ll start getting outrageously cocky and get caught.

Off to the cap, which I know will be great because they always are.

LOL!! hysterical!
hey, Blanca! can you fly???

Loved your recap, Marta. Many thanks.

More later, if time permits. It's December, yikes! What happened to March?! Probably time to think about doing a little Christmas stuff, eh? We had two children in Dec. - 10th and 11th. (seven years apart) Got that over with, now onward...

I LOVE that CME Shop stock list. So many funnies, but one that really cracked me up was the 3-oz, single-use eye makeup packets. Is there also a trowel to apply it with? And the Mr. Sulk line of suits. Ahahahahaha. And the poster of Colunga, to heal the eyes.

Did you say you have even more? If so, please post them!

I think we should also stock an extensive line of beautiful white vendimia outfits.

Daisynjay:

Glad you are getting a little break from your work-time on the road to check in. "Hello, wine country", for Fina is an interesting thought. However, If the authorities circulate her photo around the country she might find that she is more 'invisible' in DF than in a small town.

Some random thoughts—

—I wonder if Roberta has limits she will set about helping her Mother or if she will go on being a complaining but willing accomplice.

—I cannot guess what Fina put in Blanca's pocket! It is driving me nuts.

—Karen, I, too, am worried about Marina. If Augustin is forcibly detaining her THAT can't be good for the gemelas. Surely he wouldn't DRUG a pregnant woman???

—The guy we saw plotting with Augustin was wearing worn denim, is he a rancher or something? Are Marina and Jero being kept at yet another remote country cabin?

—Like our amigo Carlos, I hope we get to see the fat little ratties again. They are awfully cute and rats are SO smart. Maybe Marina can train the rats to help her out somehow...

NOK:

Loved your CME Shoppe list. I was looking for the Matilde line of headbands, myself. Strategically placed I figure it might hide some of my grey.

EJ

I want to thank all the pet owners (Diana, UA, Chuchi, Cheryl, and anyone I may have missed) for your info on hugging your beloved.

Carlos - yes, Padre S did put Anibal in a lot of danger. Just when I thought he might have done the right thing....

I'm getting concerned about the body count as we close.

Another excellent recap Marta, and I too want to thank you for the inclusion of the new Renata heartbreak song...the music in this telenovela has been outstanding all the way through. As are your finely crafted recaps.

Does Roberta ever wear jeans? 'Cause I have a funky country song to add to Mike's Third Rate Romance.....it's "Venom Wearin' Denim" by Semi Crazy. Thought of you immediately when I heard it Mike (not the venom part bro')but we need to get Roberta in jeans for it to work. Or Fina!

Whoops..make that Junior Brown. The album is Semi Crazy. (Brain slippage...happening more and more. Ack!)

Marta. Thanks for the great recap.

I hope Nata does not take Augie up on his offer re: the avances. Really, that would take her down several notches in my esteem.

Julia: I agree. I think Laz should follow them.

Lila: I also feared Nata would let Augie take to the hospital and was just as glad to see Regina go with them. And Regina called him a caballero. Ugh!!

Vivi: I’ve also enjoyed how Jero and Nata have handled the second act of their relationship. I don’t like the misunderstanding breakup plot. Like what happened in STuD and the American soaps I’ve seen.

Daisynjay: “Any bets where Berta takes Fina to hide out?? Hello, wine country.” I hadn’t thought of that. Super Laz to the rescue.

Everybody thinks Blanca is dead. I guess she must be. Though I would have loved her to have survived and be the one to take Fina out.

Adding my pet comment: I love my babies. Two wonderful kitties named Julie Eugene and Neo Eugene. Julie is a diva, but loves her mommy and Neo is a little monkey—actually jumps on my back.

NOK,

here are a couple more items for the CME Shoppe

Mati's peasant dresses with corset, I would love one for the Renaissance Faire.

Garniner dark circle eraser that Renata plugged a few times in the beginning. ( I actually purchased one works fine)

I would like to order a case of shiny hair gloss that all the TN women seem to use.

Large stone balls, for your staircase to be featured in the home decor section .

did anyone else notice that X spare girl Julieta was wearing an old Paloma jacket a few weeks ago? It had puffy elbow length sleeves, Not flattering at all.

Thanks everybody--I can't recap worth a darn, but this I can do. Will dole them out a bit at a time.

Julia--I'll add the trowel to the list for applying pink eye shadow.

EJ--I hadn't come across the headbands yet. I think they are in earlier episodes. I'll add it.

BTW--Our star rats are already on the list. They appear a little later on. They come in all shades, as long as they are grey.

I'm more worried about Nata and her unborn child than Marina and hers. We heard Augie say that this pregnancy is an estorbo he wasn't counting on. He wants NOTHING of Linares to linger. Even though he SAYS (tonight?) that he will care for her child--I don't think so.
NOK

NOK, I am very worried about the drive to the hospital. Augie has assured us that the Linares infant is a blight on his plans and he isn't above hurting Renata enough to loose the child but still keep her alive which would be no life at all.

Let's hope Anibal pays careful attention and gets the proof he needs. I don't think Padre Seve understands how deadly Augie is or he would never have sent the youngster into harm's way. I just hope Anibal gets more support from Super Laz and Renata/Regina. Did they show Matias going back to D.F.?? He would be a good advisor too.

Thank you for the recap Marta.

I think Fina slipped a piece of paper, or something with Fina's name on it so that when they find Blanca's body, they think it's Fina. Then the Monterubio's will be told that Fina died.

One observation I have is why is Carlos taking so long to heal his hands and leg, when Gonzalo got shot in the chest, almost died, had surgery to repair the damage, and he's back to normal quicker than Carlos?

NOK - OMG! If I could I would be there in a heartbeat to hug my tee and share those strawberries.

I would add to my list to have Manuela come to my house, cook my sons and I one of her fabulous meals and one of those sweet hugs of hers. After this week, could use that!

Would Fina have slipped a suicide note into Blanca's pockets and claim she also knocked off Fina and was responsible for everything?

Ok, back to meetings. Shoot me now.

Judy, Roberta does often wear jeans! So it's perfect.

Cathyx, telenovela medicine does not operate on real-world timelines. In Telenovelaland, one can recover from a gunshot wound in time to go swimming and make love the next day, or one can be in the hospital for ten months to have plastic surgery on a little facial scar.

Maybe Fina put a little suicide note into Blanca's pocket - or a tiny parachute?

Where is Jero?? :( I want a Where's Jero tee shirt. This is insane - not even one hint.

Oh and was it just me or did the Padre let the phone ring twice before hanging up in frustration? Doesn't he know that even if she was available, it would take MariTopHeavyTorpedoTatas, who is also preggers with TWINS, a minute or two to get up on her six inch stilletos and waddle to the phone? Patience Padre and try again - and for God's sake, leave a message.

mary, i love both your ideas...
tiny parachute.. ROFLOL priceless!
and the where is jero tee, i want one!

MARY

A tiny parachute,hahahhaha.

ROTFL.

EJ

The paper in Blanca's pocket is driving me crazy but I'm going to go with the suicide note (and Blanca blaming herself for all the misdeeds) or the tiny parachute theories. But for heaven's sake, would anyone think to compare the handwriting on the note to the handwriting on all the other bogus letters written by Fina? No need to answer, the question is merely rhetorical.
