Una Familia Con Suerte #107-108 Thu 2/2/12 Pancho actually lets Chela be a big girl and go on a date.
Labels: familia
Also thanks to CHF and Ezra for your recaps.
Loved the kiss between Enzzo and Chela, even though it was akward at first, it looked like it was getting better when she broke it off and yelled at him lol. She really looked like she liked it though. I hope Violetta doesn't cause too much trouble between them, since Moni told her who the woman is that Enzzo is interested in.
I am really liking how Freddy is being with Ana and his Mom. I love this side of him, so caring without ulterior motives. He is actually very sweet.
I thought is was funny watching Vins running down the lawn with the flames at his back lol. But I don't think he should have been trying to talk to Candy. He needs to settle things with Pina, before he starts chasing Candy again. And to try to knock down her door.
And why did Pancho talk to Chaco about Chela? I know Chaco is in love with Chela, but Chela is so not in love with him. Pancho ended up hurting Chaco.
I like how Chela and Enzzo's date went, and she told him about having been in love with Pancho. I hope this relationship goes a long way. They are so good together.
I thought this was a good episode. Our baddies are getting more human and likable. Well, some of them. Pancho still needs to grow up, though.
I wonder why DramaMama and Enzo won't tell Moni who her biological father is. Just dragging it out, or is there a real reason they don't want her to know?
I too wonder who Moni's Daddy is and why Violetta won't tell her.Maybe they will show more flashbacks and we'll get to see who it is.
Oh heck, special mention needs to be made of every other line. Simply great stuff!
I like your spin on the kiss. Being the catty mean girl I am, I was thinking that the two actors had terrible technique. The idea that Chela was rusty is obviously correct (duh! she's been pining for Panco all these years!) and in that case the kiss was played beautifully.
I really hope Chela gets over the Pancho crush and finds someone.
After hearing Vivi's take on the Pina/Vince story line, I think I concur with Arnie.
I'm with Julia and Madelaine in wondering who is Moni's dad.
Oh, and Abeja steals every scene she's in. I never pay attention to the humans when she's onscreen.
Are all of the comedic TNs this charming or is it just the Lopez family? I am really really really enjoying this show. (Wow, I'm sounding like a broken record.)
I laughed so hard when Ana and Freddie saw Vince running across the lawn with flames trailing him. So cartoonish. So funny.
I also like that Freddie is now 100% in sweet mode. He always had that side to him, but only really showed it to his parents and Abeja before, while to everyone else he put on his airs of cold self importance. He's actually a big softie and the "Nene" moniker fits perfectly.
Vince is being so cold to Pina. I hate that. I agree that he needs to get his house in order before he should go knocking down Candy's door. He and Pina have a LOT of issues to get through, even if all they are getting straight are the terms of their divorce. They have a child on the way after all.
Loved Chela and Enzo going on a date. Pancho needs to back off, but it is a bit of poetic justice for all the crap Chela pulled when Pancho started dating Rebe. But Pancho should have learned a lesson from that and know enough to stay out of Chela's business.
I am also getting annoyed with the way Pancho tries picking fights with Vince and Enzo in moments when everyone can see that they have other things on their minds. I'm still annoyed about his behavior to Enzo the other day after he and Moni had that big reveal, emotional conversation. Pancho does need to grow up. His kids (Lupe and Pepe specifcally) are reaching maturity faster than he is.
I think it helps if the powers that be use extreme discretion about stuff like special effects and "funny" sound effects and stupid costumes. Cram in too many of those, and the humor seems forced and not very funny to me. Especially the sound effects.
Doesn't Tomás need to show up to be Pina's friend? It would be nice for her to spend more time around people who appreciate her.
For all Pancho's posturing about being the loving guy who CARES, he doesn't possess much emotional sensitivity at all.
Violeta sure is an amazon. How tall is she? Enzo looks like a midget next to her.
What ever happened to Bob's Big Boy?
And just who is Ramona?
Nico, aka Big Boy, went to the countryside to see his mama to have her cure his tummy ailments. We don't know if he'll return. Ramona is Meli's friend, but really she's Daniela Castro's real life daughter-- both girls are. It's a great way to get to spend time with your kids while you work, no?
La Fea Mas Bella!
That is the star of all comedic TN!
And ARNOLD, please can you be my best friend! Love ya big guy.
On top of this the scene with Freddy reaching out to text his buddy, wow, a real life moment, and the writers and actores did it magnificiently.
Rebecca be careful you're being cold to Pancho is going to push him into Chela's arms, now that Pancho is jealous.
Now that Freddy has stopped being such an ass, he is actually cute. Not as cute as Alex or Popeye or Pepe though.
Couldn't they have found s/b better for Adoración?
Maybe Pina will end up with Arnaldo.
Monica's pop is probably s/b we already know.
I searched to find out how tall Cecilia Galliano is but couldn't find anything. Sebastion is 6'1 or 2 & she is just a little shorter than he is, but she probably was wearing heels.
Some of my favorites:
[Pancho] has no business arranging Chela's play dates.
and
[Vince mewling about Candy] his backing band is not playing it.
And of course Glamazon. She was quite scary last night with her black magic marker eyeliner and furious "I'll cut you" look about Graciela. Seems like we're going to be in full drama mode for quite some time.
Totally agree with your assessment of Pancho. Not only immature, but seriously the most annoying voice and mannerisms on the planet. Sure hope the actor is not a bit like that in real life.
If I were Candy I would be very concerned at the way Vince is treating Pina. People like Vince typically do not change their MO too much. If he's treating Pina like this now odds are he'll treat Candy like that somewhere down the line. Ah well, this is a comedy and not real life.
Arnold was fantastic in this episode. He is an interesting combo of someone who can be extremely sensible about other peoples' love lives but rather foolish about his own choices.
Nellie, wouldn't Arnold be the best BFF? As long as he didn't fall in love with you that is. He needs to find a girlfriend, not a kid like Ana or someone who is already in love like Rebe.
Also, I think it would be hard to resist, at least for a while, the focused attention that Vince has been paying to Candy. You're right, he is cute and fun in his way, (when he's not being a cruel jerk). I don't blame him for wanting to leave his marriage if he truly doesn't love Pina, but there are kinder ways to get the message across.
Another reason to like the comedies: they almost always get the 7-8EST/6-7CST slot....so when Looneyvision messes with the programming it doesn't cut into my bedtime. I don't know what to do now that LQNPA is going to air at 10EST/9CST. I'm usually in bed snoring by 9:30 CST! Thanks, Looneyvision -_-
We're just gonna have to make our own fun for a while, I guess.
And the contrast is much starker when a cheerful story takes a dark turn, or a kindhearted character meets a terrible fate. I mean, if anyone remembers what STuD was like - their idea of contrast was to go from "total bummer" to "absolutely wretched." I remember wishing that a big flood would come along and wipe everyone out. It would have been the happiest day of their lives.
