I really like Maria she is the sounding board for everyone. I loved how she told Effer off, and counseled Sin. And Miguel too. She at least went to check on him, drunk as usual. I thought she told him to leave, if he wasn't happy there. I wonder how long it will take for Miguel to be arrested again?

I love the relationship that is developing with Fed and the Cupcake. I loved the "spreading the butter frosting" on her. lol.
I can't wait to find out what she will do once she finds out Fed is her Dad and Vainy is her half sister.

That money hungry Tia and the jewlery, what is up with that? She is buying a new piece every other day.

Poor Margo being cooped up all the time. The boy needs fresh air and play time, he looks like he has cabin fever already.

I think Fed was crying when he read that letter,and he kissed the signature.

Bruno and his constant plotting. It looks like he has the Tia in his sights too. Even if the Cupcake were truley free, she would never be interested in the Skelator. He is just obsessed with her. She will be his downfall. He will screw this up like everything else he has done.

Yea, Carmen has it bad for the Guscake.She can do better than him.

David and Vainy are great together. Cut from the same cloth so to speak.

If Rohell ever finds out Sin knew where the Cupcake was this whole time, woe to her.
 

You mean it was actually on? I saw only an ad for "jueves" after Tuesday's show. I've been skunked!
 

LOL, I loved this recap! Thank you so much, Sara! You covered everything and you got it over with. Kind of like we just want this "phase" of the novela to be over with.

Yeah, I don't get what is so mesmerizing about Gus. He is cute and a nice guy, but he seems to attract women like a dog attracts fleas.

I lol-ed at your characterization of Fed's reading the letter as having some sort of attack. Yes, you're really not sure if he's laughing or crying. He is overcome with emotion and sweet memories, so it's probably a mixture of the two—mostly laughing. Aw, Fed, you are a sweetie.
 

Ugh. This thing is riddled with typos and errors. I'll try to clean it up this afternoon.

Jardinera - wha? How did it air in one part of the country and not another? Skunked indeed. I think Univision hates their viewers. How else to explain their insanity?

"certain cold woman-child" and "You won't even notice the stench of the whining, abdomen baring shrew" were among my favorite lines.

I agree with Madelaine that it was nice to see Fed and Ana bonding. It's apparant he loves her already. Kleenex time. That said, Vainessa and Ana have absolutely nothing in common except their father. Their shared romantic past and future with Rogelio presents an obstacle that will be difficult to overcome.

I'm liking Hugo more and more. Tall, dark, handsome and quiet works for me. A prime catch. Speaking of that, where is Esteban?

Gracias, Sara, and I agree with most of Madelaine's comments.

My gut about Helena is that she doesn't come by that jewelry honestly. No relatives of hers have been shown, so I wonder whether some relative of hers steals it.

I don't think that Fed would put anything more in Vainessa's name now. She has 30% of the meat-packing business and controls her mother's 30%, so anything Fed buys or invests in in the few episodes he has left will be in his own name. He'll leave it to the Cupcake if the Vaca doesn't kill him before he changes his will.

Gustavo needs time to get over the Cupcake; now is not the time for him to get involved either with Carmen or Lady Chatterley.

I hate product placements with the fury of a thousand Vulcan suns. However, they are less obnoxious in many ways than what they did in US soaps in the old days, which was to put black tape over the product names on dishwashing liquid and other similar products normally found in kitchens.
 

Thanks, Sara! I was able to find it and see it "around" so I'm at least caught up with this episodio. Your snarky hilights filled in what little I failed to catch. My fault for not having the VCR on the correct channel just because I actually trusted the published guides.

This is just a theory of mine, but the title of this TN is the one she couldn't love, right? I think the only one the Cupcake could never love is Skelator.
 

I think it means "She who cannot love." Which I think most applies to Vainessa.
 

Thanks very much, Sara. I didn't realize how much I would need this recap. After returning from a trip, I finally was going to watch last night. I turned on the TV at 10, only to find the end of the Mexico-Colombia futbol match. After checking the newspaper to see whether the TN would be on, I kept watching, and sure enough, the Cupcake saga started 10 or so minutes late. All was well, I thought. But suddenly, in the middle of a scene, the 11 o'clock Noticias came on and continued. I gave up at that point.

I don't know where you are, Sara, but here in the Washington DC area Univision started the TN late and abruptly cut it off at 11. Sigh.
 

It showed in other parts of the country because of the time zone difference. Simple.
 

Loved the ad for Dona Maria! You should go to work for their advertising dept., especially if you can figure out how to make them look more appetizing as they're being squished out of the box.

Tia must have boxes full of jewelry. She needs a new investment, like shoes maybe. At least they aren't dragging out the daddy reveal. As much as they were putting it off last night, I thought for sure Fred would die before he had the chance to say anything.

Thanks for your recap. I didn't even look for this epi because I thought it was pre-empted by the game.

I couldn't agree more with all who wonder about Gustavo's magical attraction. Plus I know Jose Ron just won for "Best ___ Actor" but I can't see it. He is very handsome but to me, the character Gustavo seems wooden, rigid and uninteresting. That seems to be Ron's style of acting as well.

Love the recap Sara. LOL at the Bayou Beans commercial. Pretty much the same old in this episode. AP whines over Gus, Rog broods over AP, Rosaura schemes as well as Vainessa and Cinthia.

At least Maria found out that Efrain and Cinthia have been having relations. I guess she won't pass that bit of info to Rog though.

I too didn't know if Fed was crying or laughing when reading the letter.
 

Where is live LQNPA started ten minutes after ten and ended ten minutes after eleven so they showed the entire episode. Wonder why it cut off abruptly in other areas?

Sara, thanks for a funny recap. Enjoyed your rift on Doña María Bayou Beans. I kept waiting for Maria to add other ingredients to the skillet because surely they weren’t going to eat just plain beans. If so, I can get hired as a cook there. I’m in the DC area where the local news clipped off the last 10 minutes, so thanks for the details.

Time for AP to grow up. I hope she doesn’t buy whatever lie Tia gives about why she didn’t tell her Gus was alive.

Interesting that Rogelio approves of Gus for Sin. She may or may not be M-grito's mother, but I do believe there is some secret about her that Rogelio keeps.
 

That was great Sara! I'm so glad everyone appreciated your riff on Doña María Bayou Beans, I sure did! I got pretty grossed out by the close-up squishing the refried beans out of the box bit - brown - yuck! And right, a hacienda like that is going to used pre-made beans. No way!

I'm pretty much on the same page regarding Sin and many others. Oh, Gus turns my head so I get the initial attraction for these ladies. But once he opens his mouth it doesn't last long for me - LOL! IMO, he and Cupcake are perfect for each other - but I guess the problem is that they are too alike. I did notice that Gus seemed taken aback that AP returned his necklace without all sorts of pushing and manipulating(unlike the other ladies). Even though AP didn't 'splain very well, I guess Gus's mind isn't completely closed.

He really breaks up with Sin in the previews? That, I'm looking forward to!
