Blue! How close are we to blackout. There was definitely a lot of kissin going on on that beach. And much more. I hope Padre didn't sneak a peek to see if they were getting along!

I think it will be *one* of the tias who is la amor de su vida de Carlos. Maybe Tia Maria but maybe Tia Patty? She deserves a nice guy. Maybe Carlos is the thorn in the relationship between Maria y Elvira.

I noticed after the flashback of Pig calling Antonio an inutil, that Antonio turned around and called his abogado inutil. It goes to show that bullies have usually been bullied before. It may me feel bad for Antonio.

Why oh why didn't Pedro and Cameeela have a talk that led back to the misunderstanding at the airport where Lucrecia took Pedro and where Antonio asked Cameeela to meet him? It's like they still don't get it and Lucrecia will still be living at El Tal months from now. Kick her out!

Of course this may all be moot as Mariana will now be in love with Pedro with no recollection of his love for Cameeela. He won't want to tell her the true arrangements of their marriage. Let's see how patient C is with this.

I know I am in the minority here, but I was so anxious for F2 to see Cuzin Charlie Sheen lookalike and think it was Jose. This possibility is what I am most looking forward to on Monday, even more than Mariana.

I loved the Army and Angel caper it was too funny. They got caught by Panchito, Tracy and even Tonio and the way Army ran into the house it was too funny. Thank goodness Valentin didn't catch them.

I wonder if Cameela will have a bun in the oven? That would be really interesting. What would Lucrazy do about that, on top of Pedro having found Mariana?
 

Jajá. That whole scene at El 'Traz was like a cross between the Keystone Cops, a French bedroom farce, and the Mickey Mouse Club. I wanted to FF, but I was perversely fascinated. And that looooong Suave moment? Klunkiest. Product. Placement. Ever.
 

Madeliane, we all know lucrazy will tell Pedro that the baby is Tony and Pedro will believe her.
Now, was this Cami's firt time? If it was then Pedro will figure out that her and Tonio didnt have anything and lulu was lying to him. Right. No mention of that?
 

Anon I don't know if this was Cameela's first time. I think it is the first time she has slept with Pedro. She has never slept with Tonio, although Lucrazy will claim she has.
 

R la O- Too late. The Keystone Cops was a good comparison. Panchito and Tracy saw Angel and thought he was Jose, and that's when she told Blonde F-girl that Jose was outside. By the time the Blonde got her hair fixed, Armando was in place and that's who she ran into. And being the dumbass that he is, he couldn't lie and say he was Armando but had to pretend he was Jose. Then he ran away. Really when all this finally comes out, the girls are partly to blame. If they would just shut up for a few seconds and let Armando/Jose talk, it could be cleared up. It was a painful scene, but kinda funny too.

You know what else is funny? They're allowed to say the word "zorra" but they bleep it out on the subtitles. Are deaf people more prone to taking offense at bad language? And is "zorra" really that bad?

I'm not sure I read all the comments on Thursday's episode and I can't seem to get back to that recap in this browser, but...

Did anyone else notice the little sign over the front door at Alcatrash? It says "Paradise Found."

Also, carryover from Thursday which there may have been discussion of, any guesses as to what is the secret Gagorio is hiding on the ranch? Dead bodies?

I feel sorry for Antonio. It seems like he was a sweet kid until his mother died and the Ogre was free to abuse him, unchecked. Amazing that Gag has kept him tied down on the ranch all these years, and he hasn't even tried to leave as far as we know, when they hate each other so much.

I did wonder, in the flashback when El Pig yelled at Antonio that he was going to make him manly or whatever...did he coerce him into rolling in the hay with Doris? And then she got pregnant and Pig forced him to marry her, and he never even really wanted to be with her in the first place? Given the way he's been treated by his father, it's amazing Antonio manages to be loving to his daughters. I think either Antonio will be redeemed, or he will go completely crazy and end up dead or in a mental institution.

How does the arrival of the supposed José necessitate intense application of Suave hairspray? Bizarre product placement. It isn't like it even did anything to her hair other than certainly made it really crunchy in three small spots.
 

Julia - Thank you thank you thank you for the Bingo cards. El Tal is playing into those squares nicely, if not a little clunkily.

F2 sprayed and fluffed 3 places in her hair, then she sprayed the top and rubbed it down totally unfluffing her previous work.

Somehow I missed the secretive aspect of Thursdays show. However, I do think Pig killed his wife. Have we heard otherwise?

I think Antonio's tenderness with his daughters is to let us know that deep down he is a sweet guy who was bullied into being a tough guy. He won't come out of this the same. Like you said, he'll either man up and be the sweet guy he can be, or he'll join Fina in the manicomio.

RlaO-I don't know if Pigorio killed his wife or not. I assumed she died of some illness or maybe an accident. I guess we will have to wait and see exactly what Pigorio did.

That hairspray scene was very funny. Right after that scene they had a commercial for some new Suave product that keeps your hair straight without the frizz. Big time product placement.

Now that Tonio and Lucrazy's plans have been foiled once again, I wonder what they are going to cook up now especially if they find out Mariana has been found. I wonder how Mariana will react when Pedro speaks to her. This will be very interesting.
 

Madelaine thanks for the recap. I'm excited that Mariana is really back and hopefully will see Pedro on Monday. And according to TN lore, the female protagonist only sleeps with her one true love so Pedro is Camilla's first.

I thought it was cute that the tias and Sarita and her boyfriend conspired with the Padre to get Pedro and Camilla together.
 

RlaO- I too agree with you about
Tonio's daughters. He treats them way better than Doris does. I do like how tender he is with them, and I really hope he is on the road to redemption at some point. but he will need the help of someone other than Lucrazy. I think that Cameela is the catalyst for that, maybe.
 

In my current People espanol is a picture of Aaron and Lola juntos on the beach in Miami. It says "escultural pareja" sculpted couple. They look good together if you don't think of them as bro/sis. Of course her swimming suit is a one piece that still manages to show her belly button.

Also a pic of Angelique and Zepeda in Acapulco, but that would just be a publicity stunt/tour, I am assuming?
 

Madelaine, GREAT recap! I thought this episode was the best one so far for many reasons.

Loved the keystone cop cousins. Just a couple of dumb kids running on hormones. Poor primo Angel, figures he'd be the one to get roughed up by Tony. Lucky for him Tony was distracted otherwise it could have gone a lot worse for him.

Speaking of Tony, I like the flashbacks showing why he is such a damaged soul. Although it doesn't excuse his behavior it does explain it. That was definitely good writing (finally!) when Pigorio called his son "inutil" because, of course, that's one of Tony's favorite insults.

I also thought it was a scream how LooKrazia pretty much delivered Camila to Pedro on a silver platter. Talk about a major backfire!

Another funny...the beach was almost too windy for romance. Everything was blowing around; I thought the table was going to blow over. Luckily our romantic pair managed to find a sheltered spot.

AND...I'm looking forward to more info about Tia Maria and the love of her life, the new doc. I'm guessing Elvira is the "stupid mistake" he mentioned that broke up his true love relationship. Is he Angel's father I wonder?

Madelaine, sorry about the late comment. I was on my boat all weekend and wi-fi is spotty to non-existent. I was actually able to find someone's unencrypted portal and piggy-back onto it, so I could read your recap and the comments, but I was never able to send out my own comment. It was very frustrating! But at least I got to read and enjoy.

Poor Armando, when they hired new writers to improve things, they must have left him out. You would think with all the time he has on his hands, that he could have figured out his twin strategy for dealing with the femsibs... it's not as though they are especially gifted.

I sure hope that Lu and Tony don't find some way to blame Yenny for our lovebirds ending up on a beach together in LA.

Now that Oscar is divorcing, I wonder if he thinks that Rita is his future... I hope so.

I agree, Carlos -- I was kind of creeped out by the idea of a priest deliberately stranding an unmarried couple (well, *one* of them is unmarried) outdoors all night with a bottle of booze and no food. Surely that's not in the priests' handbook -- although it may be in the telenovela handbook.
