Marta thanks for this great recap. The title so summed up your (and daisynjay's) love of Gael. Nice.

I am happy the Dr, while breaking HIPPA laws that never exists in TNs, had a chat with Lucio so the good guys could add things up. Now Lucio will stop getting queasy about Dam and Elisa.

I never ceased to be amazed at how mean the mean girls (Ho-mean-a, this was great Marta, and Fina) are. The Orange Menace is always spewing bile and Fina is a mess.

Marta you were gracious in your read of Catfood prison visit from Elisa. He seemed to pull away from her when she said she loved him in spite of his crap. I'm with Dave, he just needs to get his shot gun and end my misery of having to see him.

Poor Kenia. Between the Orange Hazard and Bonnie & Clyde she's so dead. I hope she gets some quality time with her brother before she goes to the great beyond. Poor Gael.

Poor Ricky. Maybe he and his dad can take a road trip and find good women.

I really hope Lucio & co. go with something other than the Toad accidentally shot Dam. EJ I know your hubby would dismantle that foolishness quickly. And Julia yes how does someone walk into a gov bldg with a rifle - beanie time.

Dang, slap city is right. Kenia should have slapped Ho-Mean-a right back, but I wonder if she would have felt it with the, you know, botox and all? Unfortunately I don't think Kenia convinced Ho-Mean-A that she is not a rival.

Poor Padre Loopy must be a bundle of nerves these days. His hat is looking pretty mangled.

I thought the scene between Elisa and Augusto was very sweet, but only on her part. Don Cat Food, not so sweet.

And Hooray! Gael is back! I'm so excited. Flo is back too, so I wonder how Enrique will react when he finds out she's back to see Damian? I wonder if she will call him or if he will just run into her? Karen, I like your comment about the Tovar men taking a road trip.

What we learned in this episode:

Augusto learned even though he is Crap Dad, Elisa still loves him.

Carmina learned Kenia visited Augie in jail.

Damian learned he should have stayed unconcious b/c his nightmare is just beginning.

Gabino & IrritatING learned Gael & Damian have the same blood type, making their life just a tad bit easier.

Lucio learned this "Elisa is not Augusto's daughter" business is just another of Carmina's scams. (Lucio is quickly becoming the OTHER character who is finding out all the bits and pieces (Gabino is the first))

We learned any character named "Paloma" is bound to be pathetic.

Kenya, the poster girl for flirty skirts really gets on my last nerve with her fake innocent act around Gael. No, she didn't deserve Ingrid for a mother, but her come-on with Assgusto makes me ill. She's younger than his own daughter. If she weren't coming on to him she has certainly allowed him to think so.

Flo is a presumptuous little female dog, isn't she? If only she knew that Damian was about to marry Elisa. And at least Lucio is connecting the dots. Dr Tovar better bust some heads to get those results.
 

Fabulous recap Marta!! I love Ho-mean'a. I will be stealing that, pa' que tú lo sepas. (And I hope the tuteo was ok?)I love reading your recaps because your excitement shines through. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who gets personally invested in TV characters.

Wasn't this just a great episode?? I am officially a member of the Kenia fan club (As noted by my new avatar.) I am overthinking it, but it does seem like she is an angel sent from Steffie. This theory seals her fate of course. If she's an angel she will have to return to heaven, right?

It must be my shifting hormones, but I was pretty misty-eyed through the whole episode. The Elisa/Padre cry and pray scene was moving. I even felt bad for Cat Food. I hope I am not the only one left at that table.

Marta- you just rocked this recap! Definitely a fun episode last night for some of the put-downs, plot reveals and getting some of our favorites back. (Please having Flo back has to cut the II scenes--please).

"The hero of La Ermita!! The one!! The only!! Gael!!!" Heyla, is right Marta. "Our" boyfriend is back big time, and had some of the best scenes last night. And of course, he just nails the facial reactions and little touches. That hug...oh that hug? I was a puddle, I admit. It was almost heartbreaking to see his reaction, and boy, that one sec when Elisa and he got a bit close before she left, anyone else see sparks? I swear Boyer and Tacher can have chemistry with a tree and make us need a cold shower. Or maybe the writers are purposefully trying to show the two characters do "work" as a couple? Who knows....

But Paloma...oiy, Paloma, Paloma, Paloma. Not a good look to come off as a shrill hag a/la Be-gon-ya to the guy you're trying to impress. Kudos to Gael that he just took it, and wiping that tear---yeah, hugging my I heart Gael tee. (It's going to look like Loopy's hat soon--love how they show that thing just disintegrating. By the end of the show, it will be in tatters.)

HIPAA laws--good one Karen!! But I agree- those don't seem to exist in TNville. Can't say I was sorry to have Doc spill to Lucio though. I was actually glad because if anyone can take down that Beyotch without flinching at her evil witch eyes, it's Lucio. Have at it our Senior Hero of the Year!

Little tight-dress showdown tonight with Flo and Elisa. And Gael better hang around! Marta and I will be volunteering for the Fly on the Wall patrol to sabotage the truck if he even thinks about it. (Marta, recon last night, he parked it behind the church.)

The Paloma character is indeed shaping up to be pitiful and pouty. I hope that gets rectified because I don't want to see Livia Brito turn into a character I can't stand. And right now I wish they would do something better with her hair. It looks like a lanky, greasy mess right now.
 

This was wonderful Marta, and I love the title. I'm glad you have YOUR Gael back.

Sara- I also like Kenia. She's NO angel, but the girl certainly shakes things up and keeps things moving. I bet if she suspected anything about the Carmeany DNA test grab and switch, like Lucio and Doc Tovar now do, that news would already be out there to Elisa and Dam to end that foolishness. I love that she brought Elisa the necklace.

I don't think her excitement about Gael is an act. She is genuinely happy to have her brother back. I bet Paloma feels like a fool now. But I doubt this is the last time Paloma is going to let her emotions get the better of her and stick her foot in her mouth. That girl has a lot to learn about being judgemental and jumping to conclusions. I didn't like the way she got her back up when she heard Elisa had gone to see Gael. Elisa is as much his friend as she is-- Elisa has actually known him longer. And of course she would want to give him her thanks for what he did. Back off Paloma!

So Padre Lupe wasn't just sitting around wringing his poor hat. He had that great plan to send the news out on the radio stations to bring back HIS Gael. Good job Padre.

I fear that right now poor Dam is too weak to fight against his mother and Clingwrap Flo in their campaign to keep him away from Elisa.
 

Daisynjay- I noticed that moment too when Elisa and Gael got close and he looked down at her with a smoldering look. She seemed to respond for a split second, but then broke away. Hints of something to come? Poor Paloma is going to wait a long time before Gael has Elisa out of his system. Maybe she should set her sights on Quique. He's about to be disappointed big time when he finds out his Flor can't get Dam out of her system.
 

Marta, wonderful, quick, action packed recap. I really liked your inside comment on the  scene with Gael, Kenia and Paloma, "right  now, Paloma, sorry to tell you that you are looking like a vieja berrinchuda worse than BeGoneYa."  So true, poor Paloma!   At least Gael seemed kind in the moment, but I don't think he will ever feel for Paloma like he does for Elisa. What a mess!!!

I think because I've been sympathetic to Augusto, (personally have several friends who made terrible mistakes during calamities like divorce, alcoholism or depression, but pulled themselves out of it!) I too cried when he sent the necklace to Elisha rather than use it to pay for lawyers. For me it was a very touching moment...........Carlos, pull up a chair for Sara!    Wish the bingo table weren't so LOUD!!!  Ha!

that was my take too... she might be a thug toward her mom and a bit creepy the way she is so casual with Augie, but with Gael I think she is really genuine in her wanting to get close to him as a sister.

Sandy, i think i am still at the 'soft-spot-for-Augie' table... and ITA about Kenya having an anvil that gets heavier and heavier with Carmina's face all over it.
 

I didn't like too many things in this episode but I think you made it work out with this recap! Unfortunately I must agree with everyone in that Kenia will probably die. But you know what? She should take as many as she can with her!

The good part about the previews? Kenia AND Elisa saw Carmina's deeds. The bad? Kenia will probably die and so the "only" witness will be Elisa.

Florencia REALLY gets on my last nerves! How dare she waltz in and pretend as if everything is alright and normal! Unless she makes amends and I want MEANINGFUL amends I hope she dies a cruel death.

daisynjay, didn't you love that Padre wanted to do the air boxing again but Gael was a bit in pain on the arm so he passed on it... all scenes between Loopy and Gael are definitely fun to watch. some funny, some dramatic/emotional but all great.

Sara, I *will* be watching Amorcito, but I probably can't start until this weekend (I'm DVRing it.) Good to know it's starting off well. As soon as El Tal is over I can start watching in almost-real time.
 

Blue Lass- i'm 'm not gonna lie- I had some comprehension issues but it looks like its gonna be cute. I mean, how can you go wrong with Diego? And Elizabeth Alvarez is a cutie patootie. Lupe from UFCS should have been cast as the young her.

Anyhoo I plan to try to watch it. Great opening theme which is always a good sign for me.
 

Blue Lass and Sara - I too watched Amorcito. It seemed really cute, Diego is very handsome, and the TN seems like a comedy but since this is Uni they'll probably kill off at least one character I like (see UFCS). Yes Sara Lupe from UFCS would have been great as the younger character Elizabeth plays.
 

I'm hoping if Amorcito is successful they'll eventually move it to evenings and scale Refugio back to one hour.

Excellent, Marta. I'm so glad that Gael and Florencia are back. Gael's return was triumphant... Flo's... not so much... actually a bit pathetic. The good news: her daddy said that she packed enough to stay a year. Yay! Sorry, Dave.

I'm always happy to see Altair... I'd be happy watching her sell convection ovens on an informercial... but the writers are not taking advantage of her wicked skills. She's more of a pitiful spoiled rich girl here. I want her to do something truly worthy of the "cruel death" Dave has planned for her.

I'm hoping we're all wrong about Kenia's fate. We can be certain that she has at least 2 loyal champions on the scene. Gael has muscles and Augie has a shotgun and has demonstrated that he's not afraid to use it. I also think that Ramona has a soft spot for her and she can zap her enemies into toads if need be.

Looks like support for our shaggy sad sack is growing although it looks as though we're not gonna see Karen joining us at our table anytime soon. Glad that we have Sara and Marta with us. Doesn't that sad look make you want to tousle his shaggy mane and tell him, "Everything's gonna be OK?

I think my favorite scene last night was the confrontation between Carmina and Kenia. I even felt a little sorry for Carmina.

Marta: Good, funny recap.

Carmina has now threatened both Ingrid and Kenia if they cross her path again, or get in the way of her and her man. I really like Kenia and will follow the band that thought she was truly happy to see Gael. But, Gael could also be her ticket to the money train.

As to Florencia, Carlos, I could do without her. She really is a pathetic character in this novela. No matter how creatively she spins her web, this spider is just not going to win.
 

Carlos I echo your sentiments. Right now Flo is somewhat bland character-wise. Altair deserves better.

Cat Food is so pitiful and manipulated I just can't hate him completely. He is being played and as been mentioned it wa easy to play him because he's lacking self confidence. It's the people playing him that really annoy me. If it turns out Kenia is playing him I may have to turn in my I heart Kenia tee.
 

I'm asking this question in a non-argumentative way and I would like to direct it to the individual in your group that is a psychologist, I believe.

Do abusers (emotional, physical, etc) lack in self confidence?

What is it about abusers (emotional, physical, etc) that a) make people feel sorry for them? b) make it hard for the abused person to leave them? c) make the abused person want to forgive their abuser at every turn?

TIA for your reply.
 

Anon, traveling so this is brief. Not psych or spokesman! In my experience people can, with depression, alcoholism, divorce do terrible things, but with help, can change back to the person they were. I put Augusto in that group. He has had Alfie and Carmina on his case for years and he has let them gain control of his mind  I'm certainly not wishing that Gabino or Carmina change, they've never been good.  Augusto WAS a great dad and husband at the first.

WOOOO HOOOO!!!! This is me being thrilled that we FINALLY got some payback on Carmeana's double paternity switch caper. So rarely do the TN Gods throw us any kind of bone and when Edmundo and Lucio put their heads together and those cogs slooooowly started turning, it was like a gift from above!!!

And those avances! Watch out Orange Hazard (love that Karen!), there's a bulls eye painted on your (ample) chest. She has seemed invincible so far and it's about time for her to get some mud slung at her.

Oh and one question! Marta, I'm sure you will know. I thought Ass-gusto gave Kenia the pearls and said to sell them to pay for a lawyer. I thought Kenia was ad libbing when she gave them to Elisa and said she Assgusto wanted her to have them. Did he really say that?

Kenia wanted Augusto to sell the pearls and use the money for a lawyer. Augusto didn't want to sell the jewelry.

Later, he told her what he wanted to do with the pearls.

Then Kenia shows up at Casa Castration and gives the pearls to Elisa.

Elisa shows up at the carcel and Augusto tells her the pearls were specially made for her mother. I think we can infer that Augusto told Kenia to give the pearls to Elisa.

Elisa needs to be smart and her her brain cell and HIDE the photo of Estefania AND the pearls so Toxic Tia doesn't get her hands on them.
 

Thanks much for the recap Marta! I am finding this one so hard to watch, so I really appreciate all the recaps. For me, they just seem to keep returning to the same situation: situation resolved completely, yet something happens to recreate same situation again. Like Flo returning, and obviously Alfie wanting to use Flo to keep Elisa away from Damián. Oh, no, we have to go through Flo clinging all over Damían AGAIN?

And how many times does Carmina get caught in her dastardly deeds (cheating on Assgusto or messing with the DNA tests) yet each time gets away with it? It just seems like deja vu all over again, and I can't get past the frustration.

I'm in the Kenia fan club too. She's such an unexpected breath of fresh air in the midst of so may clichés. And those eyes - OMG. I want to adopt her even if she is a little swinder! LOL! I'll be very disappointed if she suffers an early end.

This novela has a lot of great actors and fascinating characters, and is beautifully produced. Sorry that I keep raining on the plot.
 

And I am the opposite. I can take garbage stupid plot is I like the cast/acting. Although I'm watching it more now I could not stand LQNPA because of the casting. Except for JOrge and Dimples I don't like anyone else. Lol

i took 15 credit hrs of psych in college long time ago but i can remember that usually abusers have something in their past where they were made to feel like they were 'less' or 'betrayed'. They were either abused as children or went through some major deception/betrayal/rejection/abuse experiences in their past. they are projecting the abuse on their children and others for several reasons: as a way to project the 'blame' on others or as the only way they know how to raise their kids(not Augusto's case from what we saw of the days of Rosendo/Stefi alive). I think it is more a low self-esteem and weak character caused by the 'assumed' betrayal of the person he loved most... which has transformed into abuse of others to deliver a 'payback' of sorts... but yes, one of the main reasons of the abuse is low self-esteem and the feeling of betrayal so anyone that reminds him or has a tie with the 'traitor' will suffer the consequences. I think we do have a psychologist in the blog so i will stop here and not get my foot in my mouth.
 

That's funny, Sara! Its actually the constantly surprising story and reveals in LQNPA that has kept me hooked. I don't mind the casting.

Yet we are both in the I heart Kenia club! So all is good!
 

Audrey- I loved the show when it started but Sin and Vainy gave me fits. When it moved to 9 there was no way I could keep up as that is way too late for me. Being tiredness me even more impatient with those two.
 

As a member of Augusto's support group I'm going to put in my thought's on his behavior. He definitely has a personality disorder but although he has been abusive, he is not an abuser. I've come in contact with many abusers over the years and in my opinion they are hopelessly incorrigible and need to be isolated from society.

Augusto was a basically good (although weak) man who loved his family and treated them well. He feels betrayed and abandoned by the wife he adored. Unfortunately he sees Elisa as a constant reminder of that. His worst fears have been validated (falsely of course).

He is depressed and neglectful (of himself and his family) and that neglect has been abusive to those around him... in particular, Elisa. I see that shattered lens and the unkempt hair as symbols of his self-neglect.

I condone none of his misbehavior but I see in him (as do his friends) the potential to be what he was. I believe that he will eventually make everyone (well, most everyone) proud of him.

Yep, Sin and Vainy drive me up the wall, but Orange-ho Carmina and Alfie make me run screaming for the hills! I actually cannot bear to watch them. I definitely get that the time change affected your being able to follow it. Here in central time it's not so bad with the show at 9-10pm.

Actually, with recapping I get to enjoy a lot of revenge on Sin and Vainy. In the story, they are doing a good job at the moment of revealing Sin in all her unlikeable characteristics, and Vainy is somewhat neutralized at present even though she is plotting revenge as the woman dissed and scorned.

marta - thank you for the great recap. IT was a good episode and lots of stuff happened. I continue to be amazed at how this story just keeps moving forward, unlike most telenovelas that usually stall or (gasp!) are extended and have lots of filler.

Yes. They constantly have to put someone else down in order to feel better about themselves. (BTW, people who do that regularly aren't always abusers, but they lack self-confidence and suffer low self esteem.)
In reality, that is a cardboard wall that requires the behavior to repeat itself. Many are narcissists, too.
Augusto truly has low self-esteem. He probably never truly understood how he ended up with such a beautiful and wonderful wife as Estefania.

Are you kidding me? he anti-robot words here that I'm to type in, are ridiculous. One is a photograph of something I cannot even see. Gah!
 

Oh, and thanks for the heads-up on the time change. My stupid DVR has no capacity to begin recording early, so I'll miss those ten minutes. As it is, his telenovela must regularly start a minute or two before the hour. My recordings always start after the show has begun. Thank you, AT&T U-Verse. NOT.

Carlos, I think we can now firmly establish you must have the best heart of us all. Just call me Grinch, because I just relish when anyone yanks that Creamsicle's chain.

Interesting conversation on Assgusto -- like Carlos said,often verbal abusers are individuals who lash out because of their own demons, frustrations and insecurities. It's the "I'm miserable and unhappy so everyone else has to be too". I think especially when it's a parental figure or a spouse, there becomes a turn if it goes on long enough where the victim begins to believe that they themselves must have done something to "deserve" the behavior. After all there is a very strong emotional tie to this person to start, and why would they treat me, their child, or me, their spouse, this way unless I make them feel this way for a reason. I remember some case studies in Behavioral Psyche talking to this. Hopefully, like Elisa, someone can reach a breaking point when they realize it isn't them, it's just a sad, sick person who needs help. You can love them, but you need to get away from them.

Oh, and Vivi, glad you saw that Gael/Elisa spark too. Thought it was just me with wishful thinking.
Sad thing with Gael and the possible pairing of Paloma, honestly, seeing how BAD he has it for Elisa, how he keeps telling Pal how he feels, and sorry, I didn't take the bedroom scene as anything but Pal coming on to a guy who was in a bad place and just went with it, it's going to be hard to see how they would eventually put Gael and Pal together short of a bolt of lightening coming down to make him suddenly fall for her. It would just feel like "settling" since he couldn't have the woman he really loved to me, instead of some grand TN passion...guess we will have to see.

Except in Elisa's case Augusto, Carmina & Alfonsina are straight up telling Elisa that whatever ails them IS her fault.

Even last night, Carmina told Elisa that Damian being shot and Augusto being locked up was all her fault and she hopes Elisa realizes that.

Doris, I usually have no problems with the anti-robot words, but yesterday I had to try about 15 times before I got it. I noticed they got progressively easier with each attempt, but I finally used my magnifying glass. Sheesh.

daisynjay, maybe something will happen to jerk Gael into recognizing that he loves Paloma, like she will get hurt, or maybe start to fall for someone else. I hate the thought of her settling for sloppy seconds even though she is going through a "Pathetic Paloma" stage right now.

Carlos definitely has a kinder, softer heart than the rest of us, when it comes to his patience with certain telenovela characters. Perhaps it's the nurturing aspect of his field? I remember he seemed more generous in his assessment of Gardenia in MEPS, than the rest of us here. LOL
 

Wonderful recap Marta, there were a couple of gaps that you filled in nicely for me.

I thought Kenia was very astute in her opinion of Augusto and Carmina. She completely gets the dynamic of their relationship.

I'm afraid that Don Lucio has his days numbered. He is figuring things out way too quickly and he will not be able to divulge what he knows. That anvil is just about to fall. I hope I'm wrong though. I really like his character.
 

Hi Marta...sorry to be so late to the party. Busy day and then power outage. I agree with the commenter who noted how emotionally involved you get with the characters...that, plus your detailed conversations are such a gift.

There was something humble and wounded about Augusto last night. As if he felt unworthy of Elisa's continuing cariño. He does not have the deliberate evil of Carmina. And at least, with her, we have the pleasure of knowing that she'll never have Augusto's love, and for some unfathomable reason, she wants it. Strange character.

Kenia continues to be the wild card. Sure hope she makes it to the end.

So I vote for Carlos as the most kind of Carayers hands down. I am hoping for a reclamation of Assgusto too after a couple of continuous days of beauty at a spa with a good hair designer. Even though I am wishing pie carts by the hillfull for Carmeany, she should go out with a decent haircut too. Altair is really being wasted in this TN, the repeat of clinging vine is too too tiresome.

I am in Kamp Kenia, I just hope Gab-arson-ino doesn't get to light any matches against her before she can figure out how to tell the young things about the tricks that Carmeany is playing with the DNA switcheroo. I am really enjoying all these annoying people and still grateful I am no longer doing two hour recaps. Hurray for all you recappers who are now here.

Anon., you have asked questions that have as many answers possible as there are mental health professionals practicing.(Smile.) Having said that I will try to give you an answer, but it won't be short.

I'll also try to keep the answer relevant to our character of Augusto on the telenovela, so that we stay faithful to the nature of the blog.
1. People tend to view themselves as either a.)basically able to deal with life's many blows, to adapt, to cope, or, b.) they see themselves as victims, at the mercy of these same circumstances, never able to catch a break.

2. People who believe they are victims, whether or not this may be true, I believe project a kind of helplessness, which many of us respond to as we would respond to a needy child, whom OUR intervention can help or even save. This makes the SAVER feel very important or even indispensable.

The 'Victim's' helplessness and the 'Saver's' helpfulness form a very tight bond—each with a profound need for each to believe in both their role and the other's in this one act play. The V. might be heard to say, "I cannot get a break." and the S. might say, "I am the only one who understands him!". Each feels important and special because their view of themselves (damaged but still trying, wounded, victim of injustice) or (compassionate, religious, patient, willing to hang in for th long haul) is reinforced by the very co-dependency of the relationship itself.

No, this is not considered 'healthy'.

You can plug a lot of personality types into this scenario for variations on the theme. Where the theory goes of the rails in when the 'Victim' is actually a character disturbed manipulator. Now you have real problems.

In that case, the 'victim' is a person not motivated by a sense of conscience, or right and wrong, but rather by winning or losing, what Carlos referred to earlier as a 'real abuser', I think. This person can cleverly assume the role of the victim for the purpose of snaring a partner to take care of them or cover for their bad behavior. Their primary concern with the putside world is managing their image to the world—they still want to look good. They are often referred to as 'wolves in sheep's clothing', character disturbed or disordered, or at the extreme, sociopathic.

For more info on this type of person see the classic book by George K Simon, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist out of Texas Tech. As shrink books go, it's pretty much a classic.

Augusto, in our telenovela is a little fuzzy around the edges, since he is character on the screen, but I will take a wild stab and call him a guy with a conscience—that's why he drinks like a fiend. Also, that is why there IS a table for Augusto Redeemers; neurotic Paranoids may be hard cases but there is some hope. There is very little hope for the character disordered (Carmina, Ingrid) among us) I will say Paranoid Personality Disorder, with Depression + Alcoholism + Marked
Impulsivity. His behavior yesterday may have been a psychotic episode.

So good to see you. We have space here in California, too m'dear. I am sure the cats and Willa would get used to one another. DH and I have to leave our home during the Oakland fire, in '91. We were out for a week. they told us our house wss gone but, it turned out, they were wrong. We had smoke damage but the house itself was intact. Some 3000 other familise in teh Oakland Hills were not so lucky.

Please, please, be careful and leave right when they tell you to!

Carlos and Elna June, My Willa is thrilled with the idea of ROAD TRIP either east or west so I thank you heartily for your kind offers of sanctuary. So far the skies are a bit smokier but not as bad yet as last summer but the fires are a couple of hundred miles from here down by Silver City near the Arizona border. I expect we will get the smoke and I pray we do not get the fires. I feel fortunate to have options! Thanks to you both.

Yikes, how embarrassing to straight out of a textbook! But thanks amiga, helps to know the disease even if the cure is complicated and slow to come. Behavior patterns seem to be hard-wired sometimes.

I also agree with Carlos on the Augusto short diagnosis...
although he has been abusive, he is not an abuser.
He is depressed and neglectful (of himself and his family) and that neglect has been abusive to those around him... in particular, Elisa. I see that shattered lens and the unkempt hair as symbols of his self-neglect.

I condone none of his misbehavior but I see in him (as do his friends) the potential to be what he was. I believe that he will eventually make everyone (well, most everyone) proud of him.

EJ, awesome longer explanation... the victim description sounds a lot like a feudalistic system where one group feels they are the protectors and another group the supporters. they need each other and they both take their protection or support up a level when they feel protected/suppported.

good point! thus Carlos, daisynjay and my 'need' to give Augusto a break. We basically see them as redeemable or glass half full, even though Augusto himself believes his glass is rather half empty or empty completely.
 

help!! i need a recap for tonight and maybe a link to the episode. i was busy with the moving company packing my stuff to take it to FL so i missed most of the ep. during the episode time i was with my daughter in ER... nothing critical but very painful.

thanks Cap'n! i did get to watch little clips here and there, like i know Gael was able to get Paloma to take her foot off her mouth and listen... then they were sitting with Kenya and chatting happily the threesome... that was good to watch even though i did not get the gist of the convo since i was watching the nurse work on my daughter.. also watched a scene of Gael and Lucio at the greenhouse fields where Gael did the exchange back and came in the truck and left ridin' Amadeus...
also watched Gael Paloma scene where the air was much more pleasant and she was half serios half jokingly begging him not to leave again.
yes i know, it was three Gael scenes... what can i say?
