Una Familia Con Suerte #253-254 Wed 5/16/12

Sorry folks, but my internet is down, and I don't feel up to typing the whole thing on my phone... Tomorrow, then. But this show was a doozy!

Ezra can't wait for your recap. You are always so snarky with these recaps. This epi was indeed a doozy.

I saw only the last half hour and that was quite a doozy in itself. As were the avances for tonight!

Yes, indeed it was!

I can't believe Violeta! How does she think she'll get away with this...all those businessmen were STARING at her and Don David when they left the bar. I think they'll remember having seen them together! It was funny, too...Don David acting like he was hot stuff snagging this babe, but really it looked like he'd been caught out and was being dragged home by his mom or something.

Poor Moni. I must say, this storyline is not much of an advertisement for mental health care. Vio had the best money can buy, and she's still violently nuts? Maybe she's just evil with or without the brain afflictions.

SO glad the hammer is finally starting to fall on Vice. Surely Candy can't delude herself any longer. Maybe a little insensitive for MamaRebe to tell her, "you're pretty; you'll find someone better" RIGHT after she's caught him en flagrante, but it isn't like she had no warning.

I loved Pina's dramatization of the way Vice and Violenta were kissing.

Tomas ex plomero was looking SUPER GUAPO and totally cool and in charge when he confronted Vice. He's come a long way, baby.

Oh Julia you are so right about Vice. I too am glad the anvil is falling on him. I am really glad Candy caught him en flagrante serves him right. I am going to go back to calling Violetta, Violenta. She is like Machiavelli with that ring. I too hope someone checks out the survellience in that bar, plus you are right there are a ton of witnesses that saw her with Don David. How old was he anyway, like sixteen maybe?

I too am glad that Tomas sweated Vice. He aint no plumber anymore that's for sure, lol. I really like how he stuck it to Vice.

I really like how Tarzan turned on the Gargoyle. I like how the guard and Hummingbird chantajed that horrible Directora. I wish Tomas had been able to arrest her.

I really thought Pancho was a goner. I liked how he talked to Laurita and Dona Fer in Heaven and then came back. I didn't like that the family was all in the room screaming and crying, but that is just the Lopez clan. They can't help it.

Like that they found out what was wrong with Enzzo. I had to laugh when he drank that wheatgrass drink. He had to hold his nose blech.

Poor Ana I think now she realizes that she still loves Frauddie. I hope by the end he fesses up to knowing what Vice was up to and that they get together. I like how Pina didn't dodge the fact that she talked Ana into spying. She really has grown.

I liked the Doc Oc/Dona Rebe scenario. He really thought he was seeing Dona Fer and she played right along with it. It was sad, but sweet at the same time. I guess his drug therapy isn't working anymore.

Chela will definitely keep Enzo on the straight and narrow. Poor guy. His wife's a fabulous cook but he's got to stick to wheatgrass drinks. I was hoping Chela's cooking skills meant that the green smoothie would taste pretty good.

Julia, I thought MamaRebe was a little insensitive with Candy too, but then I remember how in real life it can get pretty exhausting when a friend keeps returning to a no-good guy when you've counseled otherwise again and again. I'm thinking MamaRebe felt Candy might return to Vice again anyway, so why waste time with sensitive consoling.

Vince is a real nut job. He's got a cheating addiction. He knows Violeta is crazy and violent, but he goes in anyway. And now it's Candy who’s in jeapardy. I'm anxious to see how Vince will end up. In prison as the directora’s boy toy? Living as a naco? Hope it's good.

The funny thing is, I when Violeta came back and started putting the moves on Vice, I wondered if she would ended up killing HIM. It wouldn't be my first choice of a way to resolve his storyline, but after he threatened Sandy I figured he had it coming.

So I was a bit surprised to hear that she's targeting Candy. On the other hand, that pointy poison ring could end up hitting someone else... like Vice... or even Violeta herself.

I am not at all happy with the way mental health issues and treatment are being depicted, but it's absolutely true that some people are just plain mean, whether they're crazy or not to boot. And some cases are treatment-resistant. However, Violeta herself comes off as just an out-of-control overgrown rich brat who has no conscience and revels in mayhem. I'm sorry Napoleon never met her.

Niecie, my vote for Vice would be "living as a naco." I don't really want to see anyone else get killed.

Anyway. I was just remembering that Moni stayed in France longer than expected because it took so long for V to get admitted to the clinic. IMO there's a good chance she never did, and lied about it.

Even if she did get in, she's in Mexico now... well away from the good doctor's supervision!
