Una Familia Con Suerte #239-240 Mon 5/7/12 Pina Is Back, Adrian Asks Ana to Marry Him
I am putting this header up, since there was no recap for Monday. This is what I remember from Monday's episode, these are not in order:
Candy asks Vice for a divorce because he wants to ruin Pancho and she won't go against her family.
Adrian asks Ana to marry him, and she accepts.
Pina returns and Freddy tells her that Karina is pregnant.
Adrian's daughter has an accident, falls over a balconey at Pancho's on top of Freddy's car. Freddy takes her to the hospital.
Doc Oc is becoming more foggy. He comes to see Pancho and can't remember how he got there. He remembers he has patients he needs to take care of, and Pancho goes with him.
Vivian is still trying to get Sebastian back. Sebastian has a fight with some guy, didn't catch his name, who evidently had an affair with Vivian. Vivian sees Pina about to go out with Sebastian and tries to tell her that she is reconciling with Sebastian, but Sebastian stops her and warns Vivian that the next time she comes near him, he will call the police. He explains to Pina that he is not reconciling with Vivian, and that he likes Pina very much. Ado likes Sebastian alot, she is preening in front of him.

I thought I would put this up for Monday. Y'all please fill in what you remember. I like how Adrian proposed to Ana, but they had a fight almost as soon as she accepted. I really don't think she ought to marry Adrian. He used his girls to get her to marry him.
Poor Candy. I think she will be way better off without Vice. He is becoming really horrible.
I don't like what Pepe is doing either. What is wrong with that boy. Moni is taking a break and being sensible, but Pepe one girl to the next. Frida is going to end up being hurt.

Thank you Madelaine. You got the main highlights from Monday night. I was so happy to see Pina back. She and Ado were hilarious, and Ado was hilarious in her interactions with that "mango" Sebas. :)
Madelaine, Thanks for posting this header. I had my right eye surgery yesterday and had asked for help but no one was able to get to it. I think a lot of people are tired. I am fairly bored with this but committed to seeing it through to the bloody end no matter what. So I really appreciate your stepping forward to giving use this space to vent if nothing else.
Candi is sad but will be better off, Pepe is being a jerk which he seldom has been for the whole show so maybe it is his turn.
I didn't like that Pancho agreed not to see his mother. He should have insisted since Doc Oc was such a space shot about it. I wouldn't have trusted his advice to leave her alone.
Yeah, Pina is back and ready for a great new life chapter. There is lots to resolve and they keep throwing in twists and turns until the last minute. There are so many sub-plots and characters' stories to resolve.
P.S. I am seeing better today and I am already cleared to drive! Yeah!

It was really a bad beginning when Adrian got mad because Ana thought about Freddy when he proposed. Really dude?! She can't control her thoughts, and he aleady knows she's in love with Freddy. It was a nice proposal, if it weren't for the fact that it's happening too soon, the girl loves another, and the guy is using his daughters to pressure her into marrying him.
There are only two more significant things I would add:
1) Vince brought in his shady detective and orders him to find him a hacker. He throws a LOT of money at him to get this job done. This is obviously part of his new plot to sink Pancho and take the presidency.
2) Pina immediately knows Freddy has been talking to Vince because he is so bitter and angry about Ana. She talks him down, makes him see the error of his thinking/feelings, and encourages him to fight for Ana's love (despite the Kari situation).
Oh, and Adrian goes to see Pancho and tells him he proposed to Ana. Pancho is not over the moon about it.

Oh Cheryl I wish I had known, I would have done a short recap for you. Hope you are healing well. It's incredible what doctors can do now with the eye. My hubby just had eye surgery for a detached retina. He is almost healed already. He is back at work.
I just remembered the guy's name that Sebastian was fighting with, it was Damian. I guess Damian and Vivian were together when Sebastian and Vivian's son died. I don't know if Sebastian was with his son, or Vivian, I can't remember. I think that is why Sebastian was so pithed.

Sebastian had to work that day and that's why he wasn't with his son (so he partly blames himself for his son's death). Viv and Damian (his former best friend) were together with the son when he had his accident and died. Sebas is ticked about the betrayal AND his son's death.
Thanks Vivi about the Damian/Vivian thing. I wasn't clear on that. I so agree with you about Adrian and about Pina and Freddy. He was one angry guy. I think he should have fought harder for Ana, cause clearly she is still in love with Freddy.
I still don't understand Adrian's continued presence on this show. Did they decide that with Temo outgrowing his bratty manipulative selfish childishness, they needed a replacement in that role?

I've been traveling so much lately that I really am grateful to you all for these recaps. After all this time devoted to this show I'm afraid I'll miss a lot of the ultimas capitulos. I'll be in Cuba from the 17th to the 25th. I think that's just about the end. So I will be REALLY grateful for you all.

I saw Pancho give Pepe the third degree about Frieda but I'm remaining true.
Team Frieda all the way! Moni has never been my fave. Too materialistic and a bit of a snob. Glad she got rid of the red wig though.

So glad Pina is back. And Ado looks like she can really bust a move. Sebastian would make me feel like dancing too. Pina and Ado are my favorites.

I was thoroughly horrified when Fred picked Melanie up off the ground. We know now that it all turned out okay and the ER doc said it was worth the risk, but normally that would have been a very, very bad idea.
Ana is way too young to be "settling" (I don't know what it's called in Spanish). Adrian is a real fool to think he's going to be able to keep her, and it was a dirty trick to bring his daughters to the proposal, making it virtually impossible for Ana to say no (not that I think she would have, but I think he knew damned well that the girls were his insurance).
Julia - LOL Adrian being a replacement for Temo. Sad but true. That man is a big baby.
Cheryl, I don't know how I missed that you were getting your other eye done, but I'm glad you're seeing better!
