Por ella soy Eva #29 8/27/12: Discussion Page

I don't know what happened to Monday's Recap for Ella, so I am putting up a discussion page for y'all to comment.  If a recap comes up later, I will remove the discussion page.

I like how Eva revealed to Helena that he was gasp JC. I really thought he would spill the beans, she was so shocked. But he talked his way around it. I am glad she now realizes the JC really loved her.

Adriano is just a ladies man. I don't think he is married.

Good for Antonia trying to exercise but hate Pluto for tempting her with the chocolate. Glad she changed the breakfast order to fruit too. She is actually listening to Mimi and Eva.

Wonder if JC will really reveal he is alive or change his mind at the last minute? It is still too early for him to reveal himself.

Madelaine, we were 10 minutes apart! Too funny. I've removed my post. Thank you for putting this up.

Phooey! My recording had a glitch in the segment at Helena's desk! Phooey! I picked it up where Eva started backpeddling, but missed what Helena said.

I'm glad Helena saw Juan's letter. Otherwise, later, she might have discounted Eugenia's version (Juan really loved you) as the ramblings of a crazy person, and believed Modesto's version instead.

Well, Helena got the ring. I wonder how that will come out in the story.

I laughed at Plutarco's expression when Toni said she was tired and going to bed rather than trying to talk him into romance. He looked like he thought he might be losing it, but guys like Plutarco never think that. I like him as the villain.

I really like how Eva takes Helena's restrictions (don't mention Juan Carlos' name; call me Licenciada) and exaggerates them until they become over-the-top annoying. I even enjoyed Eva's constant calling of "Licenciada" over the barrier in the room, and aggravating the heck out of Helena. I thought it was funny.

Given Pluto's suspicious mind, I think he might just take a different slant on his observations.
A. Toni has a new circle of friends.
B. She's improving her appearance and losing weight, and she says it's not for him.
C. She's not interested in sex with him.
D. She's radiant, and suddenly not dependent on him for her happiness.
E. She's at home all day, not at the office where he can keep an eye on her.

Will Pluto conclude that Toni has an admirer?

The scenes with Mimi and JC were hilarious. I love to see them together.

I predict Helena's friend (can't remember her name) is going to end up with Sanitago. Their "meet" in the hall seemed to portent something.

Boo Fernando. Yay Fernando's wife. Sorry for their kids, though, to hear them fighting all the time. Hope he wises up soon.

It's great to see Toni coming into her own. I hope Pluto does think she has someone else. That would be interesting!

Paula- it's ok. Great minds think alike! I didn't hear exactly what Eva said to Helena about being JC but it was almost like if JC were there with them I think. Not sure.

Fernando needs a nice slap upside the head. He makes me so mad. He expects poor Marcela to do everything while he loafs around. She does the majority of the work Ferni and Santi are supposed to do , she cooks she cleans and keeps up with the kids. And then he wanted some lovin' after all that. I would have told him off too, lol. He needs to remember he is a parent too and is capable of helping in the house.

I too wonder about that little brush by meeting with Lucia and Santi. I wonder if Santi remembers she was there at the first wedding interruptis. She has changed her "luke" somewhat. lol.

Thanks for this, Madelaine!

I do believe I heard the sound of backbones sprouting last night. Good for Toni and good for Marcela.

Paula - I hope you're right. I hope Pluto gets very, very concerned about losing Antonia's affection (and the chance to get her company shares). Pluto's fun when he's a nervous wreck.

Helena needed to see/hear the letter from JC. Thanks, Eugenia!
And thanks Madelaine for posting a discussion spot.

I just want to put in a good word for the young actor who plays Helena's son. There have been some not-so-greats in other novelas....Pancho's son in Una Famila con Suerte was among the notably bad. But this young-un is so genuine and dear...and seems like he really is Helena's son. I love his fidelity to Juan as well. Wonderful young actor!

I'm sorry I was in DC and couldn't see this episode. I'm also sorry my son flaked out on you. He swears it won't happen again.
