Refugio Para el Amor #103 Thu 8/30/12 The Awakening of Rod The Bod, The El Torro PooPoo Gets Thrown Around
Torreslanda Home-Pato's Room
We have the meeting still in progress between Rod (who for this epi is Undead to Me) and his marvelous brother Pato. Pato has just spilled the frijoles that Luci is expecting Rod's baby, and they will be tied together for eva. Well, Rod is just flabbergasted, can't be, what you been smokin' Pato, not really, but you get the drift. Rod wants to know why noone told him, how could they keep this from him. Pato says he just recently found out. Rod tells Pato, here he married Gagme, a woman he doesn't love, for obligation, to give the child a name, when the woman he dearly loves in all the wide world, his having his child. Pato makes him promise just to go see Luci and talk to her. Rod says but she left me (Note to Rod: Please dude just do as your marvelous brother tells you and go already). Pato now tells Rod that wait for it, la loca mama, knew about Luci having the bebe all this time! Now our Hot Bod Rod loses it. He clearly sees for the first time why Luci really left, all due to his crazy Mama. Hot Bod Rod is clearly pithed at his loca mama. Rod says the only people in the Torreslanda home he cares for are Max, Pato, Hanna, and Mati, (aww no Frigid, jus' sayin'). He tells Pato he loves his la loca mama, but will never forgive her for what she's done. Pato tries to tell Rod that their mama is sick and not herself. Rod says oh yeah, she's sick alright, and cold and unfeeling as well. How could she do this to him? He's going to confront her right now. Pato tries to stop our Hot Bod Rod, but Rod storms out. Pato feels bad about revealing that, but it had to come out.
Torreslanda Family Chapel:
We close in on Rosa, on the prie dieu (its a prayer desk), kneeling and saying the rosary. (Note to Rosa- We in Viewerville want to know why Dios hasn't struck you with lightening yet? Jus' sayin'). Rod storms in and Rosa tells him she's praying. Rod wants to know why she is praying, for what? She has no respect for Dios and has no Christianity. Rosa wants to know what Rod is talking about? Rosa tells him she has the utmost respect for Dios. Rod doesn't agree. Rod says he wants to know, in front of Dios, why she didn't tell him Luci was pregnant with his child and why did she keep this from him. She says she will say in front of Dios everything she did, she did for her children! Rod says so in front of Dios you swear you did this for your children, for me, you lie! You are wrong for swearing before Dios, you ruined my life. Rosa tries to say being married to Luci was a big mistake for Rod, and Rod tells her you don't know Dios. Rod says his life is Luci eternally, only Luci. Rod leaves. Now La Loca Rosa really loses it, picks up the prie dieu and slings it to the floor, in front of the crucified Christ, and screams Maldita Luciana, how I hate you. (Note to Rosa: You are gonna burn in hell for eternity, jus' sayin').
The Loveless Apartment of Rod and Gagme:
Gagme is waiting for Rod and not very patiently either. She calls the Torreslanda home and gets, wait for it, la loca Rosa. La loca has gone down to the kitchen for a drink of cool, cool, water after her confrontation with the newly awakened Rod. Gagme is demanding to know where Rod is, is he with you? La loca tells her Rod was there, but not anymore, he's left. Gagme is demanding to know where Rodrigo es mio went. Well, la loca tells her I'm his mother, you're his wife, you should keep tabs on him not me. Gagme says yeah, but he never tells me where he is going, he treats me like I'm estupida (stupid, Gagme's new favorite word, besides domestica). Well Rosa tells Gagme, better to wait for him at home and talk to him when he gets there, cause, wait for it, Rodrigo es mio now knows Luci is pregnant with his child. Gagme as a look of oh scheiza on her face.
Gagme is on the non marital bed working on her laptop when Rodrigo es mio, comes into the room. Gagme wants to know where Rodrigo es mio has been? She had to call his mama looking for him. Rod says he went to see Pato and now Rod is upset. Well, Gagme wants Rodrigo es Mio to stay in the bedroom and stay with her. Rod grabs a pillow and binky and wants to go into the other room. Well Gagme is so NOT having that, oh noes. She wants to know if they will ever share this non marital bed, they are expectant parents after all. Well, Rod has had enough, flings the binky and pillow to the ground and tells Gagme, wait for it, Luci is having MY bebe. Well, Gagme proceeds to fling some el torro poopoo on him. Gagme wants to know if he is sure, this bebe is his? Rodrigo so es not mio, tells her of course the bebe is his! Well Gagme is flinging that el torro poopoo as far as she can throw it and says, now you know Rodrigo so es Mio, she's been with Claudio, how do you know this bebe isn't his? (Now we all know she KNOWS that Claudio is Luci's papa). She asks Rodrigo who she thinks es Mio, are you soo sure? Remember Rodrigo es Mio and we are married! Well Rodrigo so es not Mio tells her she is NOT to interfere with his relationship with Luci! Gagme wants to know what relationship? She tells Rodrigo so es Mio that he is NOT having any type of relationship with that domestica! Rodrigo es Mio is Gagme's husband and don't you forget it. Rodrigo so es not Mio, picks up that binky and pillow and goes out into the living room and Gagme is begging him not to go. She doesn't want to be alone. She yells at Rodrigo es Mio, you are MINE, my husband! He blows her off and tells her they will talk about this tomorrow. He tells her to go to bed and get some rest and good night already. Well she picks up a pillow and hits him with it and of course calls him estupido, and goes. Rod flings a pillow too and adjusts the one behind his head and contemplates being Luci's baby daddy.
Meanwhile, Luci is on her bed in Het Het, attempting to knit something for her bebe, and smiling.
Claudio's Law Office:
Claudio and Barrera are having a meeting, it's been a very long day and Claudio wants Barrera to go home and get some rest, he looks all tuckered out. Barrera says he wants to get started on the paperwork that will be involved when Max appeals the verdict. Claudio tells Barrera that Max is a smart businessman and has CYA (covered your a$$) as far as his assets go, putting some of the bidness and money in his children's and Rosa's names. Claudio tells Barrera he could care less for the Torreslanda bidness or the money, he just wanted his good name, prestige and reputation back. He tells Barrera he isn't interested in putting them out of bidness or in the street by taking their home. Barrerra says well you could have an office at Torreslanda. Claudio says he isn't interested in that at the moment. He wants to go to Het Het and be with Luci. Barrera says you really miss her. Claudio says yeah, he misses her. The funny thing is when he thought his child was dead, he missed the child, but now that he knows Luci is his, he misses her much more. He tells Barrera that Luci has called him Papa. Many smiles all around.
Torreslanda Home: Max and Rosa's Den of Iniquity
Max is in bed with a book and Rosa, in a hideous pj ensemble, is getting ready for bed. She tells Max she doesn't want a cent to leave their fortune. Max tries to tell her it is court ordered and he must obey. Rosa wants to know who this Eckes is anyway and who is he to tell us what to do? Max tells her Senor Eckes is the judge and he represents the law, by gum. So Rosa tells Max that's all well and good. They can get the money from the bidness, but they ain't touching her bienes! She gets into bed and Max tells her thanks so much for your support. Max continues to read his book, making horrid faces and Rosa is laying away from him with her la loca look!
Frigid's Cold Barren Room:
Frigid is writing in her diary. I didn't catch all she said. Something about being cruel and compassion, when there is a knock on the door. Frigid is mad that she is being interrupted when she is writing in that diary. It is Mati of course, reminding Frigid to mind her p's and q's cause Pato will be watching her. Well Frigid is none too please and swears if she goes, she will be working for Gagme, she thanks Mati for being so "concerned" and makes her shuffle off to Buffalo. Frigid goes back to the diary.
Het Het:
Luci and Paz are having a wonderful evening. Luci removes the table cloth and Paz has brought a basket of wool skiens and knitting needles. She is going to knit a little something for the grandbaby. Luci wants Paz to teach her, and Paz says sure in the morning, but Luci wants to do it now. So Luci picks up two skiens of wool, one pink, one blue and asks her Mama which do you think? Paz says up to you. Luci picks the pink one (Ruh Roh, is the baby a girl? We'll have to wait and see) and Paz starts to show her how to knit.
Copio is in his office at the funeraria, straightening up and singing,and not doing a bad job of it either. (Does anyone know what song he was singing? I liked it) He's really getting into the song when, wait for it, Don A scares the crap out of him! Copio puts a hand to his chest and gives Don A hell for scaring him so badly, what with the phantasma roaming around at night! Now Don A said something about the D.F. and made a motion with his hands about a curvy woman? If anyone knows what he said, please comment. Anyhoo, Copio says he'll think about it and goes, as if this office is Don A's. Don A laughs his butt off, and Copio must have realized this is HIS office, not Don A's and comes back in. Don A does a sound like Booya and leaves laughing and laughing. So Don A is now in the Plaza of Het Het in the dark, walking back the way he came, when all of a sudden, we have the ghostly phantasma making the boo noise. Now I have to say here, if you ever watched a Scooby Doo cartoon with the ghost, that's what it sounded like, Anyhoo, Don A pauses, looks around and hitches up his pants, by this time your recapper is laughing hysterically, that hitching up of the pants, too funny. And the look on his face is priceless. Scared but kinda not. So now Don A yells Ariya and gets the same phantasma boo, and now Don A is really scared and makes a run for it. I think Don A will need some Depends, he is that scared. But look what have we here??? We see a pair of jean clad legs with boots, and now I think I know who the "phantasma" really is. Can you guess?
Inferno:
Aldo, our man in charge, is talking to Marcial. Marcial says, oh you know Vio, Of course Aldo knows her, beautiful girl. Aldo asks Marcial if he is Vio's novio. You betcha I am, he replies. Marcial is crazy for her. Marcial tells Aldo he knows Vio loves her job here, but Marcial not so much. He doesn't like her working there, with things that go on. Aldo says oh, you are very observent and Marcial gets the deer in the headlights look, when Aldo buys Marcial a whiskey. Meanwhile Vio is in the back, walking and Lastra calls her. He wants to know if Vio talked to her friend about the job. Vio wants to know what friend? Ofelia of course. Vio wants to know why he wants Ofelia to work there. Lastra tells Vio she so impressed him and Vio tells him forgettaboutit, Ofelia doesn't want the job. Lastra tells Vio he could really use her help with Ofelia. Lastra goes on to tell Vio that Ofelia doesn't have to work at Inferno, he has other jobs she could do. (What else does Lastra own? Or is he thinking of asking Max to get her a job?). Vio says she could help but she doesn't think Ofelia will accept any job from him and why is he being so insistent? Well Lastra finally says it, Ofelia reminds him of Luci, ruh roh, major slip of the tongue (Note to Vivi- you said this didn't you? You were right on the money!). Vio shakes her head and Lastra thanks her.
THE NEXT DAY:
Het Het:
Ariche and Luci are with the ceramics and Luci is telling Ariche that Magda and Paz have gone to the market and will be back later. There is a knock on the door, and of course Ariche goes to answer it. Luci has her back to the door, and Ariche opens the door and says, wait for it, Saint's Perserve Us, Ariche says Mushashon! very softly. Rod has his finger to his lips and Ariche obeys and says not a word as Luci is asking who is at the door. Rod comes into the room and finally tells Luci, its me Rod! Luci's back is still turned, and at the sound of Rod's voice, she has a shocked look on her face and drops the ceramic pot that was in her hand and it shatters to pieces. Luci turns around and a long look passes between them, half hope, wonderment, surprise, but especially love, lots of love.
Torreslanda Bidness:
There is a meeting in the conference room with Max, Pato, Oscar, Gabe and Marcos. They must be disheartened after the verdict or it's casual Friday, cause noone is in bidness attire. They are meeting about the audit, seems everything is in order. Max wants to know where Rod is, and asks the secretary to give him a ringy dingy to find out where he is at. It is crucial for him to be there. He tells the secretary to tell Rod they are all waiting on him. The secretary comes back in and says she talked to Gagme, who doesn't know where he is, she also tried his cell and no answer. Well, Max is pretty pithed! Max turns to Pato and demands to know if he knows where in the sam hell his brother is. Pato says can't imagine.
Het Het:
Luci and Rod still are lovingly gazing at each other and Ariche interrupts and breaks the spell and tells Mushshon it's his fault that Luci broke the pot. Luci stoops to pick it up, but Rod the Bod, tells her he'll get it. Ariche and Rod the Bod pick up the pieces. Luci still can't believe in the fact that her Mushashon is there and while the guys are cleaning up the shattered pottery, says a little prayer to the Virgincita (I'm guessing) either for strength in what is to come or thankfullness for Mushashon being there. Rod the Bod asks Ariche to leave he and Luci alone for a while so they can talk . Ariche agrees and goes. Luci has finished her prayer and takes a deep breath for what is to come. So Luci turns around and of course says, everybody say it with me, Que Haces Aqui? Rod the Bod gets right to the point. So you are really having my bebe? Luci says si, I'm having your bebe. Rod the Bod wants to know why she didn't tell him. She tells him he made a decision, so she left. She says her whole family is here and Rod wants to know if this includes Claudio Linares? She says of course it includes Claudio Linares! Well Rod the Bod's jealousy is over the top. Luci wants to know why Rod the Bod has come to question her decision in her own home? It isn't right. Rod the Bod says he is this baby's papa. Luci says she doesn't need him. Go back to your family she says, your wife, your other baby. Luci says his Mama seperated them and would never allow them to be happy. Luci is crying and Rod the Bod has tears in his eyes. She wants Rod The Bod to go. Rod the Bod is so not going until he knows the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, but can he handle the truth? He wants to know if Claudio is her NOVIO??? Oh, the horror! Luci wants to know if he is sick. Rod yells at Luci and tells her well Hanna saw you with Claudio and I saw you with my own, blinded, oops sorry, eyes. Luci says he's sick.
Torreslanda Bidness:
Max is really pithed and continues to yell about Rod not being in this meeting. Max rounds on Pato again and demands to know if Pato knows where Rod is! He wants to know like yesterday! Pato says he isn't certain but thinks Rod may be with Luci! Pato says he broke the news last night that, wait for it, Luci is having Rod's bebe. Everyone in the room is shocked, not Max of course, he already knew. The look on Oscar, Marcos and Gabe's faces is priceless. Well Max is so not having this. Oh, noes. Max doesn't think this is enough of an excuse, not when everything is falling down around their ears, and says Rod has a poor character, as if. Well Pato, marvelous character that he is, comes to Rod's defense. Pato says because of lies, Rod just found out about the bebe, and that Rod is profoundly in love with Luci. Max laughs and says love, what a joke and hits his forehead with the evil and disgusted look on his face.
The Loveless Apartment of Rod and Gagme:
Gagme is on the phone with la Loca yelling and screaming about Rodrigo es Mio, is not there. The Champagne Queen is there of course with her obligatory glass of the bubbly. Gagme is going on and on about being Rodrigo es Mio's wife and the mother of his bebe. Rosa la loca tells her the fault of the pregnacy is Gagme's alone. Rosa reminds Gagme that Luci is pregnant too and to protect what is yours and hangs up on her. Gagme, doing a less than perfect phone fling, (Note to Gagme: you should take lessons in phone flinging from Aaron Montalvo, jus' sayin') and the Champagne Queen is telling Gagme to calm down already. The Champagne Queen agrees with Rosa la loca and blames Gagme for the pregnancy too. The Champagne Queen tells Gagme to use the brains in her head. Gagme is pithed and storms off.
Claudio's Office:
Melissa has come to see Claudio to see if he needs any help with the paperwork for the appeal. Claudio tells her he isn't thinking of that right now. Melissa correctly guesses it must be Luci. He says yeah, and he's happy the Judge ruled in his favor. He is happy that Luci is finally calling him Papa. Melissa is happy for him. He informs Melissa he is looking to buy a house in Het Het for the family, ya know Luci and her family and the coming grandbaby, oopssy another slip of the tongue. Melissa is like what grandbaby. Claudio says yeah, Luci is having a bebe, ya know it's Rod's. Melissa wants to know why noone said anything and especially to Rod. Claudio tells her it was Luci's wish. Melissa is stunned. Claudio asks Melissa when her final exam is. Melissa says in a week, but she is nervous. Claudio tells her that is to be expected and that she will do very well. Melissa wants to know about Luci's test. There were no public results and she wanted to know if she passed. Claudio says no worries she did pass. Melissa is very happy to hear that.
Torreslanda Library:
Rosa and Conny are together when Hanna comes bursting in, pithed at her Mom and Dad for never telling her what the hey is going on around there and to stop treating her like a baby, when in comes Boris. Rosa demands to know what he is doing there. Hanna tells her he came to pick her up cause she needs to take her final exam. Rosa says ok, but don't be late coming home. They go. Rosa wants to know if Melissa has spilled the frijoles to Hanna. Conny tells her no. Conny wants to know when Rosa will stop with all the el torro poopoo and tell the truth to the kids already. Rosa says no need to now. Luci left, Claudio is happy with his newfound daughter, all is swell with the world. Maybe her world, the one she is living in. Well, Conny is just digusted and tells Rosa if that's the case then she is moving back to her own home. Now it is Rosa's turn to beg her not to go, stay with her, she says, she needs her sister. As a matter of fact, why doesn't Conny come to see Padre Honesto with her? Conny reluctantly agrees to go.
The Good Padre Honesto's Office:
Rosa and Conny have come to the good Padre's office. Rosa apologizes for her behavior yesterday, so much stuff happened yada yada. He greets Conny and is happy to see her. Conny says she really came with Rosa not that Conny needs anything. Rosa has come to see the Padre to invite him over to the house tomorrow. The Whole Family will be there. Padre agrees to come and Rosa la Loca has that crazy, fakey smile on her face.
Het Het:
Where The Truth Sets Rodrigo Free:
Luci is crying very hard now and says to Rod the Bod, when are you going to get it through your head? The baby is fine, I'm fine but the baby will be a Torreslanda-Linares! Rod the Bod is sooo shocked. Luci tells Rod the Bod, yes it is true, cause, wait for it, Claudio Linares is my FATHER! Rod has a very shocked expression on his face. Rod asks Luci how can this be, he doesn't understand this at all! Luci informs Rod the Bod, that in reality she is the daughter of Claudio and Aurora Linares! Well Rod isn't buying what he thinks is el torro poopoo, so he tells Luci she lies as he grabs her arms. Rod gives the song and dance of Aurora dying while giving birth, but Luci gently corrects him and says no not the case. Aurora survived a little after the birth and Rosa was supposed to take care of her, but instead gave Luci to Paz and Galindo Jacinto Flores the gardners and that she, Luci had died along with her mother Aurora. Rod is so shocked he can barely move. He has let go of Luci's arms. Rod the Bod walks away and has to hold on to the cast iron divider in the room. He is really crying like a baby along with Luci. Rod can't understand how his mama could do such a thing and noone knew? Luci tells him it was a big secret that just came to light recently. Rod is too shocked to say anything. Luci asks for Rod the Bod's forgiveness for the way she told Rod the Bod the truth. Rod gently takes Luci's hands and with a profound look of sadness, grief and love and crying like a baby, asks Luci for her forgivness. He wants forgiveness for all the grief and sadness he caused HER. Luci is crying now as well, and Rod the Bod, are you ready for this, gets on his KNEES and begs, and I mean really, begs for Luci's forgiveness. He has put his head on her where her womb is and continues to cry like a baby. He has his arms wrapped around her and Luci is gently patting his back as he cries. I have to say here I cried right along with them! That's where we leave it tonight.

I want to thank y'all for all the prayers and thoughts you sent to my husband. He is doing way better now, his vision is still fuzzy, but he is able to work half days. I am his "eyes" as far as driving goes. I am driving him to work for a month, but I don't mind. I am just glad he still has his vision. Thank all of you so much! Enjoy the recap.

Ay yay yay! What an episode tonight! And what a recap. Thanks Mads for giving us so much detail when you have so much going on caring for your hubby. ( I’m going to take advantage of no Amor Bravio tonight to watch the next episode later. I can’t go away for the weekend without seeing what happens next!)
Yes! Rod got on his knees! Exactly what I have wanted him to do for a long time. Now he can begin his redemption in my eyes. That was an incredibly sad and powerful scene between the two leads. Some here thought Luci would lie, but that’s not her nature. Luci never lies. Any time someone has asked her a direct question she either blurts the truth right out, or doesn’t say anything. But she never straight up lies. Which is why for a second there I was ticked at Rod when he (not for the first time) called her a liar to her face. Thank goodness that didn’t last long. I am so glad that Rod knows the whole truth now.
Another TL dinner. We KNOW this won’t turn out well. Let the fireworks begin!

Emarie- Yeah, I think everyone in that family, not just Connie, gives Rosa a free pass on her craziness. Even Pato tonight was telling Rod not to be too hard on her because she's not herself and she's sick. However, he has constantly been the one who's the most honest with her during their conversations and arguments. Maybe he was just scared that Rod in his rage might actually hurt her?
As for the "ghost", since we only know four men in Het Het (Aquiles, his assistant, Copio and Theo), it has to be Theo or Aquiles' assistant.

Vivi--Thanks for the clarifications, I knew I missed some of it. Ah, so Aldo knows Marcial is not what he seems. Interesting. I had a feeling Don A was talking about a woman with the hand motions but didn't get that he wanted Copio to look after his bidness, lol. You were right on the money about Lastra, Vivi, he does have a type. Thanks about the Saturday, I didn't catch that. Max is such a stickler for proper clothes. The test scores, didn't catch that either. I am sure she passed too. As for Frigid, I thought she was actually writing a tell all book about the Torreslanda's lol. Is it just me or is Rosa aging overnight? Last night she looked a good 10 years older than usual. Maybe someone found the portrait in the attic and did a little damage.

UA..I've noticed lately that they've been putting pink eyeshadow on Roselena, which makes her look older, stressed and somewhat weepy. But nevertheless, I love your shoutout to Portrait of Dorian Grey.
I hope that NowNotSoDeadToMe Rod will find the courage to go see Claudio and let him know that he will try to help protect Luci from his family in any way he can, and to give him a sincere appology. Claudio deserves that, even if he might respond that Luci should be the one to forgive him... but he thought the worst of Claudio... even though i dont think Rod is totally sold on Claudio's innocence yet. Maybe now he will be. But he owes CLaudio to come clean with him, even if Luci does not let him be close to her.
OMG! UA, I thought that was just me and that I just hadn't noticed her face before. But that one close up made me think they even added special makeup to make Rosa look "older". Even the one profile wasn't flattering. Noticed the same with Max--Their evil as it unrolls will age them as well? Sweet--that would be an interesting directing/makeup plot device.

I keep wondering what Rod will do once he gets back to the DF. The smart thing would be to take Jana and Pato aside and tell them what he knows so they are prepared for the major blow out to come. He could then go to Max and do a 180 about turning over assets to Claudio, followed by ripping Rosa a new one. In any event my preference is the dinner bomb. That way Rosa would have no place to hide or chance to manipulate him and say that Luci was lying.
I also think he should go to Claudio and apologize for the things he thought and to assure the man that he would protect Luci, always just as he once promised Ariche.

At one point Rosa warned Gala about taking care of herself. i don't remember the exact words but the gist was that Luci is a country bumpkin and you know how they are about squeezing out kids so Gala better take care of herself and that pregnancy to keep Rod. Foreshadowing? A miscarriage might be best here, esp. if she plans on hiring Frigida to be the baby nanny.
But it is nice to see "Estupido" make a strong return! "La Domestica" just doesn't have the same punch.

Rosa put her foot down and told Gala, since Luci is 'en el campo' and there women usually take care of their pregnancies and have healthy babies, it was up to Gala to have a healthy baby herself, (basically saying otherwise, you have not a chance/prayer to keep Rod with you).

Madelaine thank you. Like you I cried myself twice over the begging scene. I had it tape and watched it twice. This one is a keeper. It is the most profound,sincere and humble act of repentance and apology I have ever seen. When is Rosalena's turn? Vivi, regarding the Frigid, I'm thinking about what you said about her writings. Do you think she has a crush on Rod, which explains her hatred for luciana?

A lot of us think that Frigida is in love with Rod thus her fantasy romance novel. I do remember in the prior version of this story the Frigida character confessed her feeling to the Rod character and his horrified reaction will live in my mind forever,
For what it is worth Romance writers, and I know a lot of them, find the term bodice ripper offensive and demeaning. While it was apropos in the 80's the genre has moved way beyond that at this point.

I suspect that Rod will be equally horrified in this version.
I probably didn't mention this before but I hate when remakes change the character names. Sometimes I like to look back at the cast list to see who played these roles before and the name changes make it impossible.

This one changed all the names and while many of the characters are the same some like Oscar are a combination of two. The Frigida character was not as obviously creepy, the Mati character was the cook and she had a beautiful daughter who was the love interest for the Pato character. So while in the version i saw and for the most part loved this one is both similar and different if that makes sense. Things that happened in the other one can't happen here because the set up is wrong.

OK, I'm just an old meanie but I'm not quite ready to totally forgive Rod. Yes, he cries well, and hugs well, but his temper is way over the top. How many times has he called Luci a liar? Not asked her to explain, just shouted that she is a liar. At the very least I hope there were tiny shards of the pottery on the floor for him to kneel on. He's definitely going to be a loooong work in progress.

Ouch Emilia! Tiny shards of pottery to kneel on. Sounds like the old Catholic punishment of making you kneel on rice kernels on the floor to really suffer. (not that I ever had to, but read about it in books).
I didn't see it posted yet, but I think the song that Procopio was singing was "Las Gaviotas." I believe from Jalisco. At least it sounds like it might be from there.

Loved hearing Rosaliar on the phone to Gala the Insane about taking care of her pregnancy, what with Luciana living out in the country, eating good food, breathing in the clean air her pregnancy was sure to go without a hitch... sheesh. I can't wait to see what happens tonight. I seriously love this novela. Last night when Bodrigo had his eyes opened I was yelling at him, and apparently really loudly because my husband came running to the bedroom where I was, he was all wild eyed, wanted to know what was wrong. HA! If he thinks that was bad he should hear himself yelling at the tv during football season.
