Por ella soy Eva #35 9/4/12: Evil Gramps does not die. There's going to be a slumber party!

Marcela's husband is still sulking, jerk. Marcela tries to explain that adults talk things out. He says he'll get used to her being an executive, but he wants to hear about things first. She says he has a chicken heart and it seems to be a compliment.

JC's mother is waiting for JC to call, any minute. She recites poetry and misses him; she insists he's on a trip. She also misses the theater and is mad that her husband tore her from her career.

JC finds Pluto and Helena by Evil Gramp's hospital room. Sadly, the nasty fellow is out of danger. Eva watches unhappily as Pluto chats standing very close to Helena. S/he goes to see Lalo in the waiting room. Lalo's afraid his grandfather will die like JC did. Big bear hug.

Pluto tells Adriano he gave Helena the day off, but somebody has to go to Playa Majagua. Adriano tells Pluto "I'll die alone like a dog, I have no wife or child... but I'm thinking about giving it a try!" Pluto's inheritance is in danger!

Due to drinking green slime, Tony lost three kilos. Rebe is aggravated, perhaps this means Tony won't die soon.

Adriano accosts his baby girlfriend as she strolls along with her baby friends. She says she never wanted to see him again, he insinuated something awful yesterday (but I don't know what it was). He shouts out his apologies for being an idiot and asks her to be his girlfriend. (That doesn't impress me much, or her either.) Later she comes to the office, says she's still mad at him but accepts his offer of "something more serious." Eeew, they kiss.

Paty baby is at kick boxing and so is the black haired rival. They punch each other and argue over Santi.

Evil Gramps regains consciousness. "Look what you did, this is your fault," are his first words to Helena. "You tried to take Lalo away from me, look what happened. You'll kill me if you take him." She says Lalo can stay until Gramps recuperates. She thinks maybe she should go back and live there too.

Tony can't find her thesis. She begs Pluto: "Since Helena can't go to the beach, why don't you and I go instead? Like a taste of second honeymoon!?" He says no. Instead, she should go with Eva.

Eva, though, says she can't go, she has to stay to help Helena. She suggests Rebeca instead. Rebe doesn't want to go but Tony, half-owner of GI, overrules her!

The dad, settled back at home, says Helena can't stay under his roof. Lalo runs in and salutes and wants to spend the night with Evil Gramps.

Eva doesn't want to go to the beach because she knows Pluto is plotting to get Helena alone. And in fact, coming to visit Helena at her parents' house, s/he hears Plutarco has escorted Helena back to the new apartment.

Pluto's closing in on Helena at the new apt. Helena's surprised Eva left without saying goodbye. Pluto tells Helena "my wife has stopped loving me, she didn't even ask if we could go together to the beach."

The doorbell rings, breaking the mood - it's EVA! She screams! "My life is a big tragedy!!! My apartment has flooded, I have nowhere to spend the night!" Helena offers her place. Pluto: "Why didn't you go to playa Majagua?" He's quite surprised Rebe went instead!

Rebe has left many messages for Pluto. She's furious about this trip. She has a picture of herself in a bikiny on her night table.

Toni and Rebe arrive at Playa Majagua. Rebe asks about cable tv, internet, a/c, etc (they don't have). "I'm not accostumed to miseries! What kind of disgusting bugs, tarantulas, etc. do you have here?" "We have them all!" the manager says cheerfully.

Adriano's old dude friend Jesus is having a cocktail party and there will be young girls -- "the kind we like." He's dumped his previous girl and has a new one. And there will be a surprise.

Eva beams, eavesdropping as Helena says goodnight to her son on the phone. Helena invites Eva to sleep in her bed!

Wow that was fast. Thanks for the recap,Melinama.

My favorite moment -- Pluto & Eva in the hospital waiting room elbowing each other out of the way so they could be with Helena.

Worst moment -- when Eduardo did as we all predicted & told Helena " Look what you did." He is such an ass. What can possibly be behind his blind hatred of his daughter?????

Other fun moments -- Rebecca getting a look at Playa Majagua -- the look on Pluto's face when the doorbell rang just as he was moving in for the kill -- the hug between Eva & Lalito --even little Lalito's salute to the grandfather who doesn't deserve it 'cause that kid is just too cute for words.

Whatever happened to the fender bender that Eva had last night? Did they just drop that scene?

Thanks for the recap, Melinama. I think Adriano's insinuation was that baby girlfriend was in it for the money, not for his charming self. Not sure 100%.

The hospital waiting area and the physical back-and-forth between Pluto and Eva was hilarious. He shouldn't underestimate Eva.

Evil Gramps needs to learn that kindness is better for his heart than anger.

La Paloma

Melinama,

Thank you for the recap.

Eva is fun to watch and like everyone the Pluto Eva scene in the hospital was a hoot.

Eva paid off the guy in the fender bender.

Thanks Melinama! Fast great recap. Yeah that hospital scene was too funny. I really lol'd with that.

So Bastardo is doing like we thought he would. I hope Helena moves to take Lalito anyway. What a jerk this guy is. I too wonder why he has such an intense hatred of his daughter. Even Silvia tried to intervene.

Another funny scene was the Angelica/Paty boxing scene. Too funny. And how does Angelica know Rebeca? Did Angelica ever work at G.I.?

Too funny that Rebeca and Antonia are now at the Playa, and Rebeca has to do without technology! Too funny. Antonia is into it though.

Paula- I didn't get to reply to you earlier about Camil and doing theater. He would be great there, and he looked, the way he moves and sings, that he had done some already. Yeah, Mambo Kings has lots of singing in it. I am glad Camil stuck with acting too, his Dad was right.

So now it looks like Ferni and Marcela made up. Let's see how long that lasts at work.

Poor Eugenia. She so misses her JC. I know he used to visit her almost everyday, before his "death", I am sure he misses her too, but can't take the chance of seeing her.

Can't wait for tomorrow to see how Helena and Eva manage to sleep in the same bed, without Helena discovering Eva is really JC. I don't beleive he reveals himself yet, it's too early for that. Jus' sayin' lol.

Thank you for the recap, CHF.

Did everyone see the preview for tomorrow? Juan as Juan in bed with Helena. She's awake and speaks to him. So lay your bets, friends. Is it real and Helena will think she dreamed it? Or is it Juan's dream?

I didn't get to see part of Monday's cap until today. Now I'm sure that the chippie scammed Adriano's friend. In the middle of her birthday party, she found out Legaretta was coming, and immediately she fled. Cut to the very next scene, in the hot tub, Pluto lets slip that he did something against JC, Rebecca starts asking questions, and Pluto flees. TN's love to put parallels back-to-back, so I'm convinced Pluto's scam mirrors the chippie's scam so it involves Señor Geritol. My logic is convoluted but I believe it.

I realized in this episode who Adriano looks like. Dudley, my dad's cat. A little fat and cross-eyed, with a permanently comfused look on his face. Dudley and Adri, like twins! Except that Dudley stays away from underaged girl cats.

Thanks, CHF. I also enjoyed the blustering scene between Eva and Pluto, with Eva ending up using her breasts to edge out Plutarco. I also enjoyed the scene with Rebeca complaining about all the insects at the hotel. She's not really made for ecotourism. And yes! Adriano is a bit cross-eyed. I think subconsciously that's made him more likeable to me.

I agree Ithabill. The slightly cross-eyed look does make Adri more human and likable.

Thanks Melinama. I'm always amazed by the speed in which you get these recaps up. (Do you speed when you drive as well? Just wondering) Really, I admire and would like to emulate your efficiency. One day....

The best part of the pushing, shoving scene between Eva and Plutarcho at the hospital was it broke Lucero up! She had to turn her head and laugh, she couldn't help it.

And if Eva and Helena end up in bed together, then it's another "steal" from Tootsie, where that happened to the actor, and needless to say he was totally unable to sleep!

Thanks, Melinama. I keep waiting to get tired of this show and it keeps on not happening!

As Paloma said, Adriano had insinuated that Paola might have ulterior motives for dating him. But I think the person who put that bug in his ear was Mimi. He tried to shoo her away when she suggested it, but obviously he had second thoughts about it later.

And of course, taking offense and temporarily breaking up with him was just what a grifter would do.

Rebeca keeps a photo of herself at her bedside? LOL!!!

Madelaine asked how Angelica knows Rebeca. I don't know, but I thought it was an interesting question - because usually you don't have two scehming characters who are friends unless they're scheming together. (Otherwise they tend to have a conflict of interest!) Rebeca at least seems to have a brain. I think Angelica is just plain nuts. Maybe they met through a Scheming Ladies Mentoring Program.

Paula: regarding Juan as Juan in Helena's bed: I bet it's a dream. It takes too long to put Eva on and take her off for Juan to take the chance. Someone could come to the door wanting to see Eva, or who knows what. (That's just my guess, and as well all know, I have a pretty bad success rate with guesses!)

Great recap Melinama! I also cracked up during the shoving scene and don't blame Lucero at all for not being able to keep a straight face. The breast brush put it over the top. LOL!

I was disappointed that Bastardo was so quickly able to speak again, meaning I had to use my mute button.

I think Lucero is a person who laughs easily - that's a gift, except for actors. Many of the cast will laugh when a scene-mate strays from the script and throws them a curveball. This cast is blessed with at least four very good comedians who do that: Camil, Paty Navidad (Mimi), Pablo Valentin (Fernando), and Avila (Onesimo). Those curveballs often make the scenemates stiffle a laugh.

But Lucero is a whole different case. Even the scripted hijinx crack her up! Like the shoving scene between Eva and Plutarco. Or in the boardroom awhile ago, when Eva and Helena joined forces to convince Mutt and Jeff to work as a team with them. Lucero was laughing through almost the entire scene! It was great.

I think it's because she's accustomed to serious roles. Comedy is new to her (I think) and she's in there laughing with the rest of us!

Julie- thanks. I couldn't figure out how they knew each other. I know Rebeca knows that Santi is seeing her on the side, and she constantly rubs in Angelica's face that Santi is marrying Pati bebe.

About Paola. Maybe she is seeing Jesus and Adri at the same time, and Adri will be introduced to her whenever Adri and Jesus get together. That would cure Adri of Paola that's for sure.

I found a way to keep the chiquas seperate for their names. They are not all the same height. The shortest is Cindy, the next tallest is Vero, and the tallest is Jaqui. They are the only blue skirts we have names for so far.

I'm with Vivi, I wish Bastardo hadn't been able to talk so soon. I tend to tune him out whenever he is on screen, except the day I recap then I have to listen to his ranting ugh!
