Amor Bravío #47 (Uni 42) Thu 10/18/12 Amor Suspendido
Aaron asks D'Andres what the plan is now, but he's basically stuck until Camila recovers. Aaron can't stay forever, so he figures he'll go back to Chiapas and come back when he's needed. He's not happy leaving Vivi alone with Bruno on the loose, but he's gotta recharge his peace battery. He thinks Rafa should move in while he's gone. D'Andres leaves them to that uncomfortable discussion.
Luzma is waiting in D'Andres' tossed room. Piedad sees her and asks what's up. Luzma says she was just waiting for a report on Camila. Piedad thinks D'Andres is a slob. She confronts Luzma about being expelled, but Luzma won't give her any answers.
Vivi's glad Aaron's looking out for her, but she doesn't want him coercing Rafa into moving in. She doesn't want to cramp Rafa's style in case he still has a chance with Camila. Aaron the yenta doesn't think Rafa has anything in common with Camila…now, Vivi, on the other hand…. Vivi thinks she needs to handle Bruno on her own and not let him get to her. Aaron says in the meantime, she needs to let them help. Vivi would love to run to Chiapas and start over, and Aaron would like that to, but he thinks major life decisions need to be made in calm and not out of fear. Vivi says it would have to wait in any case--Camila needs her right now.
D'Andres goes back to The One Hospital In All of Mexico with some flowers for Camila…in Intensive Care? Geez, man, I hope you don't set off anyone's life-threatening allergies! A nurse busts him and says he can't come in. He begs and makes puppy dog eyes at her. Works every time. D'Andres tells Camila she's got to stay strong…and that she's soooo pretty…and he loves her and can't live without her. "Please don't leave me! Don’t give up!" He leaves the flowers by the bed and leaves.
The next morning, Xime places her breakfast order with Piedad and Piedad passes on Rodolfo's message from Bruno. She flips her wig and tells her to tell all the workers that if Bruno ever comes back they should tell him she doesn't live there anymore!
Isadora is pissed that Camila is still alive. She's got to get rid of her!
At the hospital, a doctor tells Agustina and Dionisio that it's a good sign that Camila survived the night. He's going to allow Agustina in to see her. Agustina thanks Dionisio for pretending to be a decent human being.
Mariano's mom, the uptight bitch, tries to convince Mariano to stay away from Camila. "Yeah, yeah, she's getting a divorce…but she's not the woman I want for you." Mariano won't let her meddle in his life again. He'll make his own decisions, thanks. It's time to take his life off of hold. But what about the mystery woman…Ana? Mariano says that's his problem.
Aaron gets ready to depart Casa Vivi. He leaves them a number where he can get messages. Vivi heads out to the hospital, leaving Aaron and Rafa to ponder her awesomeness…with Bruno on her tail. Bastard.
Aaron and Rafa discuss Bruno and Rafa's impending move.
Irene, Tolentino, and Pablo discuss Luzma. Pablo wonders, from the description of the blood on her dress, if maybe she was attacked. They all think it's a possibility and Pablo says they have to find out.
D'Andres gets back to his room and realizes the letter is missing. He screams for Leoncio and Luzma comes in. She asks if he's looking for the letter that says he's Daniel. He thinks she ransacked his room, but Luzma says Leoncio did it, she only read the letter…except she lied and said it was a letter from his girlfriend. Luzma wants to know if he's Daniel and if he was in jail like her uncle said. D'Andres admits he escaped from jail. Luzma thinks Don Daniel was right to be worried about Camila's safety. D'Andres swears her to secrecy. She agrees to keep his secret and says she's glad he's the boss.
Leoncio takes a knife and pries up a tile in his room, retrieving Don Daniel's gun…and a portion of his nasty chest where his shirt's not buttoned…ew!
Mariano gets to the hospital and tries to get Agustina and Dionisio to go get some rest. Agustina caves and goes to find the nurse so she can say goodbye to Camila. Dionisio recognizes a potential rival when he sees one…and he's still bitter about the ranch manager thing. Mariano says he and Camila did have some business dealings, even though they didn't know each other socially. Dionisio questions his motives, since no one does anything for free. Mariano says he doesn't think he'll have the job for long, since he expects Camila to be running things on her own in no time. Dionisio tries to threaten him as "Camila's Mom's Boyfriend," but Mariano's intentions are pure and he tells Dio that he's well aware that Camila is still technically a married woman. Hint, hint, you old letch!
Leoncio throws Don Daniel's old gun in the river. D'Andres busts him. He tells Leoncio he wants his stuff back. "Yeah, well, so do I! An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth!" D'Andres claims the letter is the only thing he has left of the woman he loved. Well, Leoncio wants "his" stuff back too. D'Andres calls BS, saying the stuff was the dead guy's and if Leoncio's claiming it's his it's because he killed him. He says if the phone and the gun really are Leoncio's then he should have no problem with D'Andres dropping them off at the police station so Leo can pick them up. Leoncio threatens him, saying D'Andres will end up like the dead guy. "You know what the difference is between you and me, Leoncio? I don't threaten. If I want to do something to you, I'll just do it. Stay away from me."
Agustina gives Camila a pep talk. She wonders about the flowers, but the nurse heard from the night nurse that Camila's husband left them.
Dionisio has a new hench guy. He tells him to investigate Mariano.
D'Andres calls the hospital for an update on Camila, claiming to be her husband. She's serious, but stable. D'Andres tells Camila she's got to get better so they can move on from the snogging to the shagging. What? We all know that's what he meant.
Dionisio introduces Isadora to Mariano. She tells Mariano that she's has a lot of affection for Camila and is worried about her. Isadora gives Agustina a hard time because her widdle baby was tweeted sooo badly when he twied to visit his wifey poo last night. Agustina and Dionisio take their leave and Isadora asks Mariano for some more details about what happened to Camila.
Vivi makes it to the hospital parking garage. She runs into Agustina and Dionisio before Bruno can accost her. Dionisio notices that Rafa isn't with her…and Vivi notice him noticing. Once they're gone, Bruno comes up to her and makes a crappy effort at trying to pretend he's reformed and just wants to get her back. He didn't believe him when Aaron said he lived with Vivi. He generously offers to forgive her all the men she's had as long as she comes back to him. Vivi's having none of it. Bruno is determined she'll always be his. Vivi has to stop and collect herself outside the garage.
Irene brings Luzma the dress that was going to be her wedding dress. Luzma says she doesn't need it and it just brings her memories. Irene confronts her, saying she knows why Luzma didn't get married. "You were raped. Who did it?" Luzma breaks down in tears.
Vivi and Pablo join Isadora and Mariano in the hospital. The bros go off to donate blood. Isadora asks why Vivi looks nervous. Vivi says she's just worried about Camila. "I can't take my mind off the image of her there, lying in a puddle of blood. Weren't you there? I could have sworn I saw you there." Isadora says no, she and Alonso were busy moving in that day. In fact, they had to call a plumber.
Ileana tries to pretend she's sorry her parents are leaving her there, but Yago doesn't buy it. He knows she's plotting something, but he doesn't expect her to get far. Cayetano tries to throw Ileana in Yago's direction, asking him to take her for a swim.
Luzma continues crying hysterically. She tells Irene that "he" took her to a cabin and raped her, but she says she doesn't know who he was. Irene is determined to find him, whoever he was. Luzma begs her not to tell Pablo. She cries into her wedding dress.
Pablo tells Mariano that he suspects Luzma was raped. Mariano asks what he can do to help. Pablo wants to keep up the fiction that he's leaving and then he wants Mariano to help him come up with a last-minute reason not to go. Mariano figures if she was raped, that's the reason she didn't marry him. Pablo says he wishes the reason had been because of Tolentino, because just thinking about what happened to her breaks his heart and makes him so angry.
Mariano's parents don't agree about Mariano getting together with Camila. Papi's for, Mami's against. Ana the Mystery Woman is brought up again, but Papi says Mariano can handle her. Grandma arrives during the conversation, as Papi is saying that Mami always used to say she wished that Don Daniel had had daughters so she could marry her sons to them. "Well, he didn't have daughters, but he did have a niece." Papi leaves and Mami and Grandma share a look.
Osvaldo tells Amanda that he couldn't find any "Hector Gutierrez" matching Dionisio's description. He wants to keep searching for Dionisio's real identity. They both agree that Amanda needs to be kept away from him, but she's refusing to stop working at the ranch. Amanda thinks D'Andres can convince her.
Agustina and Dionisio get back to the ranch and update D'Andres on Camila. While Agustina goes to have a shower, Dio and D'Andres chat. D'Andres says he found out that Daniel left town on the day of the bit shindig, on a northbound bus. Dio figures he'll be back. D'Andres says he was suspicious about what happened, so he did some digging. He found out there was no injured bull. The guy who told Camila to check on the bull was just passing on a message he was given by a woman…a woman in a dark grey car who left just when Camila was attacked. D'Andres thinks out loud about how suspicious it all was. Dionisio thought bubbles that it was Isadora!
Tomorrow: Comatose Camila admits her love for D'Andres; Dionisio confronts Isadora about the sloppy murder attempt.

Show opens in Flagstaff this weekend, then Phoenix next weekend, and Nogales the weekend after that. I'm so tired, the word "tired" has lost all meaning!
I'm really worried that if Daniel could get into the ICU To visit with Camilla ~ so can the Evil witch of Isadora!!! Oh No!!!
Does anyone else notice that the hospital parking lot is the same as the IG parking lot in Por Ella soy Eva?
Lo the car that Vivi drives is the same as Boris' in Un Refugio para El Amor??? INTERSTING!

It was good to see Luzma revealing herself and her friends generally figuring out what's going on. This is a welcome turn from what often happens surrounding rapes in novelas -- nobody puts it together for a long time.
I guess we will be getting some information about Mariano's Ana soon. Lots of build-up! I can see his mother's concern about Pablo, not so much with mature Mariano.
Dio's face while watching Mariano enthuse about Camila was priceless. Cesar does know how to play the villain.
As much as Agustina's character has seemed weak to me, I've found her more interesting all the time. Last night she wanted Vivi to be at the hospital with Camila if she couldn't be -- interesting inasmuch as Vivi is a recent addition to their lives and already seems more reliable to Agustina than the many other people she could call on. She knew that Camila would make it based on her valor the last time that she was injured. She's pretty much got Ximena's number, even if she can't control her. She's clear about Alonso, now. When she sees through Dionisio, she won't turn back. Still makes me cringe every time that she lifts her head for a kiss from that cad.
Grrrrr...... I have comments, alright.
Ximeana: She had no need to yell at Piedad like that. Telling her that Bruno is a cad would have been adequate and appropriate. Of course she feels no need to be polite to a servant but she has a lot to learn about class.
Mariano: I'm guessing that Ana is either a mentally ill wife who lives in the tower or a difficult teen daughter. In either case, Rocio needs to learn not to meddle. Mariano is a grown man.
Bruno: It's too bad he can't bottle his chutzpah; he'd be a billionaire overnight and could afford a shrink.
When the hell are men in these stories ever going to get over the idea that women are not property?
One small correction: you wrote "They both agree that Amanda needs to be kept away from him" when you clearly meant Natalia.
Best of luck, Kat, with the show.
Mariano's mom had an affair and Mariano is really Camila's 1/2 brother or some other relative? I think that Mama Alb is steering Mariano away from Camila because he is somehow related to her. Part Monterde and part Albarran.
You would think that Viv would be more aware of Bruno lurking around than she seems to be. I would be looking at every corner when I left my house if I were her.
We should be fairly certain that Isa won't kill off Camila. I hope that Viv starts looking at her photos to see if she got a picture of Isa at the festival. Was it Rosemary who smartly suggested that in the comments?
Yay Luzma for telling Dan about the letter and what she read to Leon. Another person to put in the goodguy list.
Haven't they called that old woman Ana?
Bruno can't disappear/die quickly enough. He is the creepiest bad guy for me right now.
Aaron's role in this was kind of strange, if you ask me. He lets his image be used, but when he comes to town, nothing happens other than that one picture. Nothing like being stuck in a house for days on end. Or am I not remembering something?
Cindy
Anon@3:06 am - ITA if Dan could get in Isa could too but thankfully too many people are wise to her to allow her to be alone w/Cam. Now if she sneaks in using one of her ridiculously obvious outfits, I have no idea ;)
Traveling Lady - it is refreshing that Luzma's friends are piecing together what happened; definitely not the typical TN scenario. You also made some interesting observations about Agustina & ITA with them.
I am so happy that Pablo isn't being the typical young galan and jumping to conclusions and being blind that something is wrong with Luzma. I applaud the writers having him and his "rival" work together and actually proving their claims of love to be true. They all love and know Luzma enough to know something is REALLY wrong, and to guess correctly what it could be. I found the scene with Luzma crying over the wedding dress to be so sad and moving. I wonder what he young friends will do with the info and what it will take for Luzma to admit it was Leo who did it.
Isa would be taking a huge risk if she tries to off Cami in the hospital with all the medical staff and Cami's fam and friends around. She needs to give up on this plan. Of course, she won't.
I thought the scenes with Vivi, Aaron and Rafa were cute. Aaron is totally trying to set her up with his brother, but it looked to me like Rafa was noticing chemistry between Vivi and Aaron. Hmmmmm....
Vivi was braver with Bruno this time, which seemed to confuse him. But the less of a hold he has over her, the increased chance that he'll do something crazy. I want him to go back to bothering Xi and leave Vivi in peace.
Cindy- The onld lady at the Albaran's is their Nana. That's what they call her.
Flaco, unlike me, is too busy with work to write, but has instructed me to give you his thoughts (my comments in brackets):
He thinks Dan and Luzma would make a good couple [ewww!!]. Luz is his #1 girl now.
He thinks one of the reasons Al and Xi get along so well is because A is attentive to X and he doesn’t have to pretend with her and that he can do that whole chewing her fingers thing and she likes it [double ewwww!!!]. Also, he thinks he might do the same with her toes [OK, now I’m going to be sick].
He also suspects Mariano’s mom has a secret because of the look she and the nana exchanged. Perhaps Mariano is Don Daniel’s son and that’s really why Mom is against the match [Netgirl, I see you came up with the same theory].
Now on to my comments:
I’m blown away the intelligence, not only with the older members of the Scooby Gang, but the younger edition too. Pablo suspecting Luz might have been attacked. Good on him. He also showed great maturity in his discussion with Mariano.
Great recap, Kat and break a leg!
Traveling Lady: Like your take on Agustina.
Nanette
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that the real Daniel was going to confess on those incidences. Frustrating watching this with rudimentary Spanish. I try to read the Spanish subtitles (I don't think our service and/or TV does English.), but I still rely on the recappers (Thanks!) to keep me understanding the details and sometimes the main story. I particularly have issues with following the guy playing Alonso. I just want to yell at the TV to "Slow down!"
Cindy
Best line--transferrable to several villains across tn land:
"Agustina thanks Dionisio for pretending to be a decent human being."
Amor--Televisa must have gotten a whopping big discount on ugly yellowish-green sedans.
TL--I agree that Agustina is reallly a one-daughter mother. But, she didn't have anyone else on Camila and her social level (except Hissyface)to ask. She couldn't ask the servants from Malquerida and she doesn't know Mariano's mom, Rocio. She does know Camila is fond of Vivi. Remember when Alonso forbade her to be friends with Vivi, Agustina encouraged the relationship--a sign of Camila's comeback from depression.
UA--Your quote, "When the hell are men in these stories ever going to get over the idea that women are not property?" -- and can't be kept in binders (teehee). I apologize, I promise not to use this reference again. It was a rather antiquated statement, but one probably held by some men in both political parties.
OK, Vivi (our Vivi)--Time to make a list of who knows D'Andres is Daniel. I'll add it to our Amor Bravio Extra. Be sure to add Lic. Becerra--it won't be too long before he puts Amanda's slip of the tongue together with the Daniel in Don's last will and testament.
Cindy--The Old Woman is called Nana. She's not the grandmother. She IS Rocio's confidant and knows all her secrets.

Who knew/knows Andres is Dan:
- Padre B. (QEPD)
- Rafa
- Vivi
- Amanda
- Natalia
- Aaron
- Luzma
Camila is going to be ticked off, majorly, when she finds out the truth and how many people around her knew it.
So Dandres pretended to be Camila's husband. Oh man. I think Camila talking in sleep or whatever, will get them in trouble.
I think it's good that Irene knows the real reason didn't marry Pablo BUT Luzma still lied by saying she didn't know who raped her.
I'm actually glad that Dion figured out that it was Izzy who let the bull loose.
--TF
Netgirl and Flaco - I too think there is some little secret in Moms Albarran closet too. Maybe the secret is about who Pops has fathered. For example, we haven't seen options on who Dan Jrs Dad would be if not Dan Sr.Hmmm.
Anita- Love that line "and can't be kept in binders" ... knshnuck! knshnuck! (that is snort laughing, btw). I beginning to need a binder for dumb political statements and meaningless grand gestures these days. knshnuck! knshnuck!
Flaco and Nanette - I never thought of the toe chewing thing as the next playtime activity with Al and X. However, her thigh high boots would be like wearing a turtleneck over her toes.
Did anyone else see Telemundo's Te Voy Ensenar a Querer back in the day? The two villains had the funniest sex scenes ever and it looked as though the actors had fun with it (this time the url is live):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28uJ5NxZSq0
When I hovered over the link, it got an underline but no ctrl/click or little hand to take me to the link.
Let Melinama know what's going on.
There are three parts:
1)
2) URL repeated after the > but without quotation marks
3) right after the 2nd URL
You left out several of the above steps. Hope this helps.
Despite several Spanish classes, my understanding of spoken Spanish leaves a lot to be desired. The recaps never fail to clear up fuzzy areas. For one thing, I wasn't sure why Aaron was leaving. I missed the part that he was coming back when needed. That makes for excitement because it tells me that D'Andres' true identity wont be revealed any time soon.
Technically Luzma lied when she said that she didn't know who raped her. But emotionally that amounts to "denied" rather than "lied". She is too afraid that her uncle will make good on his promise to kill Pablo if she leaks such personal traumatic information.
Dan was making me veeery nervous with his public show of affection for Cami. Something tells me that he hasn't seen the last of his torture and I hate to see him do anything that would trigger that.
Televisual definitely capitalizes on their actors/actresses!
