Amor Bravío #54 (Uni 49) Tue 10/30/12
Hissadroa has found Daniel Diaz Acosta’s father!!! She found him after seeing his name on
Daniel’s birth certificate—and no one else thought of this. He tells her he has no idea where his son
is. It’s been many years since he
divorced Agatha and he’s had no communication with them. She practically sticks her foot in the door
to keep him from shutting it in her face.
She asks if he’d be willing to do something for Daniel.
Nothing doing, he says. What if
there were something in it for you, something to pad your wallet so to speak,
she asks. Of course, that piques his
interest, scoundrel that he is.
Aculco prison
Piedad admits she had he-who-shall-not-be-named on an altar
and he’s nothing but a demon! He repeats
his line of defense, “Luzma’s lying and you know it!” “The only one lying here is you!” she
responds, “you abused her, you robbed my daughter of her innocence. And now she’s expecting your child.” The demon responds that would please him, to
have a chamaquito! (ugh) Piedad calls him a monster and the worst of
the worst. She curses (maldigo) the day she put her life and
that of her child’s in his hands.” The
devil’s spawn says that if she’s only here to insult him, she’d best
leave. She’ll leave once he’s told her
what he had to do with Fedencio leaving her at the altar. He acts like he doesn’t know what she’s
talking about. He didn’t deserve her,
just like Pablo doesn’t deserve Luzma.
Piedad takes this to mean that he
did indeed have something to do with it!
If anything she and Luzma should be grateful to him. She never thought she’d come to hate him as
she does now. He’s a swine, a good for
nothing malnacido! He tells her again to leave. She tells him that if she discovers he did
something to the love of her life, she’ll go straight to the police and he’ll
never get out of jail. NUNCA!!!
La Malquerida,
kitchen
Natie has come to visit with Luzma. She’s so glad Luzma told Andres. Luzma admits she should have done so long
before, now tio might be set free. Natie
only hopes he remains in jail but if Luzma can count on her if she needs her
help. Luzma wonders if that fiend ever
tried anything with Natie. Natie admits
he harassed her a few times. Luzma’s
still afraid of him and how he may still go through with his threats.
Osvaldo’s office
Osvaldo’s meeting with Amanda to discuss Dionicio. She tells him that Dion and Gussie are on
their way to Vegas and never mentioned it to Cam or Ximena!!!! He surprised cuz Gussie never keeps anything
from her daughters. Well, Amanda’s
really worried because it appears that our Gussie is quite taken with Dion and
he destroys everything he touches. She
asks him not to repeat what she’s told him.
She’s feeling very agitated and tells him that if Dion isn’t discovered
soon for what he truly is, she’s taking her savings and skipping town. He can’t believe she would leave everything
she’s worked for. She doesn’t feel she
has any other choice. She can’t take the
risk that Dion will recognize her. Ossie
tries to get her to change her mind.
Church
Daniel speaks to Padre.
He tells him everything’s spinning out of control. Dionicio, Alonso, and Hissadora aren’t giving
up and he needs to do whatever he can to protect Camila. He will continue to gather information on
them while he waits for the advice of the attorney that the Padre is
recommending. Padre assures him the
attorney he’s recommending is well known and someone he care for deeply. Daniel shouldn’t doubt that she’ll help him
find the justice he’s seeking. Daniel
feels the need to tell Cam the whole truth.
He can’t continue to deceive her.
Padre understands but suggests he wait (Wait, what?) until he’s represented.
Carcel de Aculco
He-who-shall-not-be-named sits in his cell worrying about
the possibility that Piedad will figure out he killed Fidencio. If that happens and she blabs, he’s
screwed. He can’t spend the rest of his life in
jail. He has to get out and get out
now. In walks a suit, looking for Mr.
Scum-of-The-Earth. It’s Licenciado
Victor Beltran and he’s been hired to represent Mr. Scum and he promises
Scumbag he’ll be out of jail very soon.
Cabana CAmila
D’Andres arrives, and he actually knocked this time! He finds that Cam has decked out the cabin
with candles lining the hallway. In fact
there are candles everywhere. She
assures him this is all for him. Kisses,
smoochies. She wants him to relax, have a glass of wine, and tell her what’s
been on his mind lately. What is it that
he’s wanted to tell her? He tells her he’s
just been thinking how lucky he is to have her.
There isn’t a minute in the day that he doesn’t think of her. Wow, she feels the same way. Well, she wants to know more about him. Where’s he from? Brothers? Family? What.
He tells her he’s from a small pueblito.
Mama was a wonderful woman who died just last year. His father abandoned her when she was
preggers so D’Andres never know him, so he doesn’t even know if he has
siblings. He never heard anything more
of his father. Cam asks about his
wife. She apologizes for asking, but she
wants to know about his life before she met him. He tells her of Miriam and how he converted
to Judaism in order to marry her. He
also tells how her family never accepted him.
Miriam was always supportive and was willing to live within his earning. He hesitates to go into the details of her
death. He explains they had just found
out she was pregnant. She died carrying
his child. He’s never visited her grave
and therefore never said goodbye to her.
Camila comforts him.
Viva Las Vegas!!!
Dion: Las Vegas is an
incredible place. You can’t compare it
to anything else. Gussie: Thank you for bringing me to place that doesn’t
seem to have limits. Dion: It’s a place where everything, absolutely
everything, can happen.
Illicit Love Nest
Ximena and Alonso are snuggling, apparently post
hoochie-coochie. He can’t believe she
had the nerve to steal from her own sister.
“Look who’s talking. I only took
a measly 20,000, whereas you’ve taken millions.” She’s still trying to get him to help her
sell her car. He agrees to have a friend
help him get rid of the car. He asks if
Ximena has been able to find out about Cam’s lover. She hasn’t but she’s sure Cam has a lover and
she’s very much in love. Alonsoclueless
wonders if she’s attracted to Dionicio.
Ximena only laughs at the thought.
Besides, Dion is her mother’s bf.
Just give her time, she’ll figure out who Cam’s lover is.
Camila’s Cabin
Camila finds it odd that they seem to have had similar
tragedies. Her with Luis and he with
Miriam. They speak of destiny and God’s
great plans…..yada, yada, yada. Yeah,
well, she wonders now how it is that D’Andres wasn’t at Miriam’s funeral. (Yeah, Danny boy, you left yourself open for that one) He explains that due to extraordinary
circumstances he wasn’t able to be there.
She finds it interesting that D’Andres’ story and that of her cousin
Daniel’s are so similar. Hmmm, Dan was
married, wife is preggers, and he was accused of killing her. She doesn’t believe he’s guilty. She believes he’s a good guy and incapable of
such a crime. He explains to D’Andres
that Dan is the true owner of La Malquerida.
Therefore, she is not the patrona.
She and D’Andres are actually on equal footing. She has nothing and only has what she earns
from her work. Together, they can go
forward. They exchange a few secret
nothings and she finishes by saying what she loves most about his is his
honesty and frankness. Oooooh, GUILT
BOMB!!!
Illicit Love Nest
Ximena wants to spend the night. Alonsoclueless says that’s not possible, she’ll
be missed at La Malquerida and mums will be back soon. Not so, says Xi – both mums are in Vegas and
Cam spends all her nights in the cabin. Alonsobrainless
suddenly has a flash of insight – that means Cam can sneak her lover into her
cabin any time she’d like! Duh! Ximena doubts that her nun of a sister Camila
would ever consider that! She has no
idea where she might be meeting her lover.
Let’s forget about that for now and make some more whoopee!
Cam’s Cabin
It’s Cam’s turn to share.
Sure, she grew to like Alonso but never truly loved him. He wonders if she would mind it if she knew
Alonso was making time with another woman?
Who me!? Nah ! Sure, she was pissed that time at the
hospital when she learned of his infidelity, but that was because she was still
trying to make it work (pun intended). D’Andres
continues asking – what if it were someone she knew, like a friend. She could really care less. He is completely out of her life and her
heart. She tells him Ximena asked if she
were involved with Rafa or Mariano.
Ximena assumed this is why she’s been so eager for the divorce to go
through. Cam knows the question came as
a result of the “look of luuuurve” in her eyes.
He quiets her with his kisses and off he carries her to her bed.
Hostal
Natalia speaks to Amanda about Luzma and how she’s holding
up. She also wants to talk to her about
something else. Amanda quickly assumes
it’s about Dionicio. Natie’s all
QTH?!? No, she wanted to tell her that
Rodolfo asked her to be his gf. Amanda’s
really excited about this. Rodolfo’s
such a great guy. Natie’s not sure and
wants to think on it somemore. A guest
asks for another cup of coffee. Amanda
follows Natie into the kitchen and chooses this moment to suggest that they
leave town. Natie doesn’t even want to
think about leaving. Natie thought
bubbles about Yago and says to herself that no way does she want to leave,
especially now.
La Malquerida
Rodolfo and a co-worker are sharing a brewski. Rodolfo shares that he’s declared his
intentions to Natie and he doesn’t understand why she has to think about
it. They both wonder if it’s because she’s
working closely with la patrona and the guys over at Buenaventura. She’s hanging around these rich dudes. Could that be why?
Buenaventura
Yago is alone at the dining room table thinking back on his
conversation with Mariano warning him against beginning anything with
Natie. Nana walks in and notices he’s
worried about something. She knows her
three boys have had trouble in the romance department and asks if this what’s
doing on. Yago denies everything. Nana confesses that she overheard what he
told Ileana Luzma. Yago almost chokes on
his coffee. She advises him not to leave
things as they are. She leaves and Yago is
muy impactado.
Elsewhere, Pablo tells Mariano that he told Luzma that her
baby would be theirs. Mariano is
surprised at this. Any other man would
have run from such a commitment. He’s
very proud of Pablo. Pablo admits he had
to think it through very carefully but he’ll love Luzma for the rest of his
life. If she comes with a child, then he’ll
accept them both. They share a strong
bro-hug.
Luzma’s room
She lies in bed and thinks back on the news that she’s
preggers, Pablo offering to accept the baby, her discussion with the Padre, and
she cries bitterly over her situation.
Viva Las Vegas
Ooof! Dion is plying
our innocent little lambie with booze!
She protests she’s feeling a little tipsy. He laughs and says that tonight she doesn’t
have to ‘splain nothin’ to nobody! And
here she thought she was coming to a training class! He sheepishly (not!) admits that was the only
way to get her here. And what if
Hissadora had come also? Well, he would
have just had to pay for her shopping spree.
He’s very fortunate that she became ill.
They both laugh and she tells him he’s plum loco! He it’s all her fault, he wants so badly to
be alone with her. “Really?” she asks, wide-eyed,
“Do you love me as much as I love you?” “Never
doubt it!” he says. Oh no, out comes the
little black velvet box. He pops the question
and she quickly says yes! “How about
now, we are in Vegas! And there’s nothing needed other than our
passports and of course the desire to be together the rest of our lives!” She’s so giddy and so willing to be led to
slaughter.
Cam’s Cabin
Camila has fallen asleep in his arms – they’re both fully
dressed (drat!) He’s thinking back on
the advice from the Padre. He speaks
softly to Camila his hope that she’ll understand his silence, his lies and
hopes that their love will survive this.
He loves her.
Viva Las Vegas
Jajajajaja! They’re
in a cheap chapel and our little lambie is even wearing a veil. What a hoot!
She’s concerned her daughters aren’t there. He poo-poos that, saying this is a memorable
night. She laments that she always
pictured that the next time she married it would be in front of her family and
friends. He’s becoming impatient and
reminds her that this is her 3rd marriage and believes the quicker
they go through this, the better. But,
well, it’s up to her. It’s either today,
or……..
BULLS RUNNING (PLUS A
DOG) SALUD! (Plus another shot for
the dog)
La Malquerida –
dining room
Cam arrives for breakfast and Piedad breaks the news that Ximena
didn’t spend the night in her room. Cam’s
doesn’t understand why Ximena can’t at least let anybody know where she
is! She asks that Piedad advise her as soon as Ximena shows up or
calls. Oh, and she also wants to know if
anyone by the name of Bruno Moran comes nosing around, looking for Ximena. Piedad leaves and D’Andres sneaks up behind Cam
to give her a kissie-poo. He pulls back
just as Piedad walks back in. They
pretend they’ve been discussing something else and Cam tells him Ximena didn’t
show up last night and she’s worried. No
news is good news, he says. She asks him
to run down to the police station to find out what’s up with
he-who-shall-not-be-named. She promises
Piedad to keep her informed. She asks
Piedad to notify her immediately if Castillo arrives with the divorce papers –
she wants to sign those papers STAT!
Walk of Shame…..
As Ximena leaves Alonso’s, she tells him she’s not worried
one bit about giving Cam any explanation about her whereabouts last night. Alonsohot is impressed that Ximena is capable
of anything. He instructs her that when
she reports her car stolen, she should say she already filed a claim and that
it wasn’t insured. This way it’s a total
loss.
La Malquerida kitchen
Luzma is mad at Irene and Tolontino that they told D’Andres about
her rape. They defend their actions, saying
they only did it for her own good. She
tells them she’s not sure what she’ll do with her life. She’s considering going away from here, from
everyone….and now this baby. She begins
to cry. Tolontino declares his love for
her again and offers to marry her. She
asks never to speak again of his feelings for her. He assures her she’s not alone and he’ll
always be there for her. She thanks him
but tells him to please stop. He
apologizes but tells her if she decides to have the baby, he’d be willing to
give it his name. She doesn’t even know
if the baby is healthy. Tolontino doesn’t
care about that. He only cares about
her. They’re interrupted by the
phone. It’s Ileana calling – she wants
to talk to her. It’s important. She suggests they meet at someplace I didn’t
catch and hangs up on her. Irene
strongly advises her against meeting with Bratgirl. Tolontino repeats his offer.
Meanwhile at
Buenaventura, Pablo is met with strong resistance from his parents when he
tells them he wishes to marry Luzma, if she’ll have him. Dad tells him to forget about his support and
his money if he goes through with it. Pablo
tells him his blackmail won’t work. If
he wants to disinherit him, go right ahead ‘cuz whether they like it or not, he’s
marrying Luzma, if she’ll have him! Her
love is worth more to him than money! He
stomps out and mama freaks out! What
ever will they do!?
Viva Las Vegas!!!
Gussie wakes up in the marital bed with one humdinger of a
hangover. She sees her wedding
band. Dion comes out of the bathroom and
they play Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf!!! EEEEEWWW!
Guadalajara
Daniel’s dad comes visiting at Hissadora’s room. He’s willing to help find Daniel…..but he
wants to know how much is in it for him!!!!!

I think she will be ok with it once she has a chance to think about the reason it was done and knows why they lied to her.
I also think she would probably just laugh when she finds out about Al and Xi. She will realize they are meant for each other.

The only part of last night's episode that I really liked were the avances, showing Mariano apparently about to tell Camila about her sister and Alonso. Yes, the smooching, etc. between Camila and Dandres was cute, but I kept worrying that someone would barge in and find them. Considering how that could impact on her divorce proceedings, I'm surprised she isn't a lot more careful. And as for Gussie...what a dumbbell! Cesar Evora is a very seductive fellow and I guess this is why he is now being set up as yet another villain with dishonorable intentions toward a stepdaughter.

Al is just selling the car for Xi, but he's doing it under the table. Perhaps for a better price? In any case, Xi doesn't want Mama and Sis to know she's selling her car because they would ask too many questions. So she's saying it was stolen instead.
Juanita -- I think that these writers are so much more clever than most in that every angle involves two or three more. I am used to watching novelas more casually because usually every punch is telegraphed, as they say. But this one requires attention and thinking out all the possibilities and even then surprises, e.g., the rape of Luzma, come careening at us.
I'm not cut out to be a novela writer either, particularly not of this type.
But the twists and turns do make it interesting. I'm trying to think out all of the ways that the car sale/insurance denial/so-called robbery can pull in existing characters in another way. For example, Rocio buys the car! Just kidding with that example, but I am 100% sure that the ruse will not work out exactly as Alonso and Ximena are planning but will likely add to the complexity of relationships.
So grateful to have TN and this forum today. Third day my office is closed over the storm. Cabin fever setting in, even while relieved to have electricity given that so many of my neighbors still waiting for power.

Great recap Paquita. I've been lurking rather than commenting only because it is usually late in the day (PST) before I can read the blogs. I'm so impressed when I see sooooo many comments! I think when I tuned in on Sunday there were 50+ comments!

Great recap! Very complete but now I want to see it! I closed my laptop at 9 to watch without working on schoolwork and only woke for the candles. Now I am dying to see the cheesy wedding and aftermath. Anyone know where I can find it without subscribing to Hulu 2?

I wouldn't bet on my theory about the car yet, but Xi definitely doesn't want Cami and Mama to know she had to sell her car. It opens her up to too many questions.
Since I don't think Agatha had a THIRD man in her life, and we're pretty sure Dan is NOT Cami's cousin, I think we can bet that the Mr. Diaz that Isa found IS Dan's father.

Thanks Juanita and Vivi. I was thinking that Xi's papa was dead but that would be Cam's papa that is dead. Still not sure how it helps the Komodos but Hissy is very clever.
I love the chemistry between Dan and Cam but I think the best looking of them all is Rafa. (I also have a cat named Rafa, after the Rafa in CME.)

Congratulations, Paquita. Never noticed any typos or inaccuracies, your recap was that enthralling. The candles weren't the only things smokin' in this episode. Ufff! Cami tells Dan that the candles at the entrance hall is a Camino de Amor; for Me? Todo es para ti--Everything is for you.
Cami (or the writers) are brain dead. Remember in the very first e-mail from Daniel to Camila (through Rafa) which we didn't get to read unless we did a screen stop, the real Daniel tells her he was married to a Miriam, her background and family and now a widower. Maybe the director couldn't change the shot and had Camila read it out loud to us--and leave out that part.
In any case, it was all a very touching scene, until the part where Cami says she loves him for his honesty. I wonder what it will cost him to recover that trust once she learns of the deception. Maybe it's good that others ARE in on it, including the Padre and shame on him! Maybe she'll accept that they were all trying to protect her from the Triple Threat. Obvio, the letter Dan got from her Tio Dan would go a long way.
It was cute when she was telling Dan that the ranch belonged to Daniel, so she was not HIS patrona, as he likes to call her.
Heck, I'm so stuck on the romantic aspect of this episode with two who have un gran amor, and revolted by the Al-Xi pawing and the Dio-Gus mawling.

It is because in a previous episode when Pablo's bitchy mom Rocio was talking to the nana she called her Refugio.
I don't know if anybody's noticed but Nana Refugio is played by the same actress that played Rufi in En Nombre del Amor. The actress' name is Magda Guzman.

I think she will be ok with it once she has a chance to think about the reason it was done and knows why they lied to her.
I also think she would probably just laugh when she finds out about Al and Xi. She will realize they are meant for each other.
Despite the sizzling love scenes (which I love), I wish Dan (whom I love) would be more discrete in demonstrating his affection for Cami (whom I also love) until after he (or Rafa :-) has revealed Dan’s identity to her. To his credit, Dan seems ready to confess but is faced with yet another delay (Padre’s advice). Meanwhile this clandestine love affair and the repercussions that are likely to follow are like time bombs just waiting to go off.
Anon- Yes. I noticed it was the same actress. It's nice to see her playing a nice role again because she was a horrible, mean character in PVAA, the last tn I saw her in.

THIS time, she had to admit to Al that she forged a check of Cami's and let Al take the blame. He was really pissed and told her she was just like Cami after all, using him. So, to make up for it to Al, she begged him to keep quiet and reoffered to sell her car to pay him back. After she chased him down to make out to make up, Al told her he had a friend who could sell the car for cash to pay him back (and thus Cami). When X left Al's after agreeing on this, Al told her to NOT say she had insurance because if she did, that would mean that the insurance company would have to get involved with the claim (i.e. they couyld find the car, they could pay her back less money, etc.). That is why he gave her that idea. No insurance, fewer people investigating. Al should know because that is what happened when Isa had her own house burned down.

RE: the discussion about the actors/actresses in other novelas. I know he's not in this novela but there was a novela that aired after (not sure if it replaced) LFdD and David Zepeda was in one scene only. I want to say it was LQNPA but I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas??

Niecie, I hadn't thought of the idea that it just may be Cami who has an aha moment and put 2 and 2 together. Next to Dan fessing up himself, I like that plan better than someone else spilling the beans. The only problem is that I hope she somehow finds out that Dan is not her cousin before she has that aha moment. Lawful or not, if I were in her shoes, unknowingly making love to a relative would be my biggest disappointment in his deciet.
I'm not at all worried about Camila's reaction to the news that Alonso and Ximena are, um, together. In theory, that could aid her efforts to get a divorce. However, I'm VERY worried about the way she and Dandres are carrying on as if they were on a desert island. If she's accused of infidelity, that could throw a monkey wrench into her divorce plans, which otherwise would be an open and shut case.
I hope the lady lawyer isn't like Doctora Tatas in CME-- swooping in just when the heroine and galan have a major breakup over a deception.

Ok so I found a YouTube clip of the TdA scene with David Zepeda. Helena Rojo also makes a cameo in the scene, just in case anyone forgot she's currently starring in Por Ella Soy Eva. She was also in CCEA and Mundo de Fieras. In the scene Osvaldo congratulates David on his new project "Soy Tu Dueña" ;)
