Dear novelera, I really liked all the things you told about the difference of the love of Miggy and Verdugo toward Fabiola , you are 100% right , the love between Miggy and Fabiola seems so beautiful , yes Miggy loves Fabiola without changing her (yes, the main beauty of their love is this fact) ,.... such as you I really like them together with just the difference that I even love them more than Sammy and Willy ,.....
and as I told before not only me but also many people are thinking as me ,because Miggy and Fabiola although could be No.1 in the Couple Ranking , and they have even 300 points more than Sammy and Willy! (although this couple isn't a routine ,standard TM one but they could be No.1 , and it shows that the writers could get their favorite result by creating this couple ,....

PABLO ESCOBAR, Viernes
Juan Guillermo calls Luis from Spain. Luis fills him in on the latest. Despite the attempts, despite the fact that the government won't give him an armored car, he won't quit. He tells the press, these criminals might think that by eliminating a person, they help their cause. But they don't. They can kill individuals, but not ideas, not freedom. Their tactics will only make them weaker, and us stronger.
The sicarios see the white Mercedes come out, put their car in gear, follow it. Quintana is in the back seat, Piniera is driving. Piniera stops the car. What's wrong? Piniera says, sorry, Colonel, I just can't do any more. He gets out of the car, stiffly lunges away. The sicarios drive alongside, draw weapons, and fill Oswaldo Quintana with bullet after bullet. Chili even takes one last shot at point blank range, “just in case”. To the sad accompaniment of violins, we watch the killers drive away.
Pablo is asleep. He's all wrapped in covers, looking either sick, or like a big baby. Marino wakes him up, gives him the good news. Chili's on the line. Mission complete. Good job, says Pablo, now give me my antacid. Huh?
Piniera feels sick for what he just did. Ulloa gets the news. The President gets the news. Luis gets the news, gives a speech, today we received another invitation to quit. But we won't.
At police school, Ernesto gets the news, sinks to the ground and weeps. Luis calls Ana (Oswaldo's wife), I'll come visit you (remember, he's not in Medellin now), but she says no, you should watch out for yourself. Maybe when you're president things will change.
At the Bogota airport, General Ulloa tries to console Ernesto, but the young cadet is inconsolable. I'll never forgive all of you, says the young cadet, bitterly.
Pablo, wearing a pancho, weakly praises the troops, then goes back inside. He's acting a little weird, must be getting too much into drugs.
In Soacha, the high priced killer is getting the other guys ready for the hit on Galan. They have about 20 guys. He hands out white hats and signs. They're going to Luis's rally, and will pretend to be supporters. They also all have guns, of course.
Luis gets a call from Ex-President Pastrana. He tells Gloria no one else has called. It's absurd how they're virtually ignoring the murder of the head policeman of Antioquia. But Luis says he has to continue, can't quit.
Ana and Ernesto are holding hands over the body of Oswaldo. Again, Ulloa offers his condolences. We'll increase security. But Ernesto pointedly says, you think that will bring back my father? Ernesto's superior officer says don't disrespect the General. Ernest screams “Permission to leave, Sir!” And he does, eyes brimming with a mixture of anger and tears.

CORAZÓN VALIENTE – VIERNES – Part 1
This episode features an inordinate amount of villain gloating, really about a week’s worth.
The intolerably smug Reptile hands Ángela a fancy box of ashes, saying “ashes to ashes, dust to dust” and goes on and on about how odd a body can be converted into something so small. She’s loving torturing Ángela, even telling her how hot she and JM were in bed. She tells her she’s only giving her half the ashes.
In the operating room Willy holds up the usual gigantic telenovela newborn for Sam (still in a coma) to see. He says they’ll call him Valentín.
D8D surprises us by thanking Camilo for preventing him from making the worst mistake of his life, killing Clara. He begs her forgiveness and kisses her. Gah!
Fabiola continues to have a ridiculous battlefield conversation with Miggy. He tells her to come on home. Hmmm. I bet a lot of soldiers in Afghanistan would like a quick telenovela departure. But EV’s thugs have Miggy. They move him from car to car blindfolded, then make him strip in case he has a microchip in his clothes. Sadly, they don’t show this.
The Reptile tells Ángela she’s going to let her leave. Ángela says she knows JM is alive; she can feel it.
Willy tells Nora and Nic that the giant baby has to spend some time in an incubator. Willy says, with tears in his eyes, that the baby will be named Valentín del Castillo Valdez, because Sam wanted her father Miguel Valdez’ name. Nic says he wants also to take that name.
Ángela karate kicks the Reptile in the gut and asks where she has JM. The Reptile shows her a video of her first kissing the unconscious JM and then pointing a huge gun at him and firing multiple times. We don't really see any bullets hitting him, though. Ángela cries nooooo. Then they show JM lying on the ground with blood on him.
Willy is telling Sam how beautiful the baby is. He kisses her, and she wakes up.
They sure are scared of Miggy. They wheel him in in a wheelchair covered with chains. He’s in some kind of a dungeon. El Verdugo makes his entrance for his share of the villain gloating. He tells Miggy his name is Javier del Toro. He tries to give Miggy some coffee, but Miggy says he only has coffee with friends. EV says he could be his right-hand man if he would forget about Fabiola. Miggy says he’d prefer to be dead.
We’re back to the Reptile gloating. She says to Ángela: “Who’s to say I won’t change back to my angelic self now that JM, the cause of everything is dead?’’ She tells Ángela she isn’t going to kill her. She has other plans for her. As 3 thugs drag Ángela out, she tells the Reptile that her punishment will be knowing that JM died loving her, Ángela. That seemed to get to her.
Poor Génesis is depressed, missing her father. Violeta comforts her, and they say the guardian angel prayer for JM and Ángela.
They bring Ángela in to Miggy. She tells him that the Reptile killed JM. They drag her out almost immediately.
Sam realizes her baby bump is gone and starts asking Willy hysterically where her baby is.

He tells Miggy that Miggy doesn’t know the first thing about love. He burbles on about love, family, kids, with Fabiola. He says he made a mistake saying she’d be his or no one’s. This made her go to war to protect Miggy. But knowing Miggy is held here, she’ll come back and the only option will be to be his. Miggy tells him it’s pretty sad he has to threaten and force someone to be with him. EV has an ego the size of Colombia and only says that she’s blind now, but when she knows HIM, she’ll really fall in love.
FF calls. She shrieks at EV not to touch Miggy, while Miggy shouts at her not to come to Colombia. She says she’ll come.
Camilo tells Clara she shouldn’t be afraid of him, but rather D8D. D8D enters the room and says that they called him from the hospital. Samantha woke up.
We see FF in the middle of a battle, firing away beside another female soldier.
EV is dying to kill Miggy, and Miggy says he’d tear his heart out with his bare hands if he had the chance. EV asks what makes him think he could kill him. Miggy: “I have no doubt”. EV says he’s going to fight Miggy fair, just the two of them.
Sam gets to see Valentín in his incubator [he barely fits in there]. She then asks Willy how long she was in the coma. He tells her, but she says her memory is confused. Oh boy, she can’t remember?
D8D tells Clara she needs to trust him [!]. He says no one will take the baby if she is on his side and does what he says. She asks him why he’s doing this: because he wants the baby or because he can’t have the mother. No answer.
The Reptile comes in to gloat over Miggy. He tells her she turns his stomach. She says she hates him, but has to admit he’s hot. She kisses him and then bites him, licking the blood. Whoa!
Ángela is in a car with a couple of thugs. One slaps her and she kicks him in the jewels and jumps out. But they do get her back. So what was the point?
Miggy and EV are stripped to the waist in the dungeon. Three or four of his thugs plus the Reptile are standing around. Miggy asks why he needs all this circus around him and knocks him down.
Rosario comes to tell the Reptile something.
Sammy asks where her brother and sister are, while Willy looks sad.
EV and Miggy have a major fight. They are beating the daylights out of each other.
Rosario takes the Reptile to where Jessica is. Jessica says she hears someone yelling. Her papí has her dressed up like a $5 hooker. I haven’t seen gold hot pants since 1972! The Reptile manages to get Jessica away from the area, takes out a huge key leftover from The Man in the Iron Mask and opens a door. Suspense? Nah!
Sam remembers what Clara told her about Bernardita being their child Luz and, miracle of miracles, doesn’t pass out before telling Willy.
EV says something about who will be the first man to fall, and then they both do, covered in blood and bruises.

Thanks so much, Hombre. That was SUCH a sad episode. And the poor driver. He very well knew that Escobar's sicarios don't make idle threats and that his daughters would have been killed if he hadn't betrayed his kind boss. It might have been slightly over the top that Quintana was saying his rosary in the back seat when the car stopped.
That Ulloa is some piece of work. He maintained a stony face during young Quintana's accusations. And he had the gall to tell the young man that the issue was that he couldn't get anyone else to confront Escobar!
Did Escobar appear to get nauseous when the idiot Cain, smiling from ear to ear, said that Chili & Company filled Quintana with 150 rounds? I thought maybe he wanted Quintana dead but was too lily-livered to listen to the details.

I didn't really get why Miggy went to king Verdugos' in chains. I wouldn't think he would be that hard to find, just look for the biggest mansion around, but that sure was a great fight, well, maybe they aren't done yet.
it must be hard on the menfolk when their women go off to war.
the new Ofelia cracks me up, especially the what the... looks Verdugo gives her
I wonder what the good princess Jessica does all day around the castle while the grown ups are busy doing evil.

I wonder why there weren't any more drug stings in the month we lost. And did Dummy Duval ever try to solve the Thelma murder, or is that just over?

CORAZÓN VALIENTE - lunes - Part 1
Sam tells Willy that Bernadita is their baby - Luz. Willy thinks that Sam might have dreamed this. He is not convinced.
The Reptile tells JM that she killed Angie.
EV’s guys report back that they followed orders with Angie. They ask if he wants them to kill Miggy. EV says no. Jessica comes in and sees EV all beaten up. She asks what happened and EV says that it was no big deal - just guys fighting.
Alone in the dungeon, Miggy begs FF not to come to Colombia.
Camilo asks Clara what is going on - she is more upset every time he sees her. He says that he can help her. She struggles with her love/hate feeling for Camillo but tells him that Bernardita is Sam and Willy’s baby.
Sam finally convinces Sam that Bernardita is their lost baby. Willy tells Nora. Nora gives Willy some really good advice that we know he will ignore - be patient, she says. Right.
JM is upset to hear that Angie is dead.
Angie returns to LA. She tells Gus that she was forced to return, Miggy is being held there. She couldn’t help her brother. Laura comes in and Angie tells her that JM is dead.
The Reptile is really annoyed with EV for not killing Angie. EV replies that he promised Miggy that he wouldn’t. The Reptile is surprised that EV is a man of his word.
Miggy sees FF come to him in a dream. He tells her to leave.

Sam tells Willy that Bernadita is their baby - Luz. Willy thinks that Sam might have dreamed this. He is not convinced.
The Reptile tells JM that she killed Angie.
EV’s guys report back that they followed orders with Angie. They ask if he wants them to kill Miggy. EV says no. Jessica comes in and sees EV all beaten up. She asks what happened and EV says that it was no big deal - just guys fighting.
Alone in the dungeon, Miggy begs FF not to come to Colombia.
Camilo asks Clara what is going on - she is more upset every time he sees her. He says that he can help her. She struggles with her love/hate feeling for Camillo but tells him that Bernardita is Sam and Willy’s baby.
Sam finally convinces Sam that Bernardita is their lost baby. Willy tells Nora. Nora gives Willy some really good advice that we know he will ignore - be patient, she says. Right.
JM is upset to hear that Angie is dead.
Angie returns to LA. She tells Gus that she was forced to return, Miggy is being held there. She couldn’t help her brother. Laura comes in and Angie tells her that JM is dead.
The Reptile is really annoyed with EV for not killing Angie. EV replies that he promised Miggy that he wouldn’t. The Reptile is surprised that EV is a man of his word.
Miggy sees FF come to him in a dream. He tells her to leave.

If Willy were a smart, patient person, he would have had Clara or Camilo to help him get a DNA test for the baby, gotten Clara to make a statement about what happened and gone to court to demand custody of the baby. But does Willy do any of that?- no. He busts into D8D’s place and takes the baby and brings her to the hospital and puts her in Sam’s arms.
Clara has her bags packed and is leaving D8D’s place. D8D warns that she better not be leaving him for someone else. Rodrigo is about to volunteer Camilo’s name in that category but Clara interrupts and says that with the baby gone, there is no reason for her to stay. D8D trots out his, “I gave you everything; we’re a family” schtick.

Police storm inside the Copito offices, searching for Felix. Secretaries are stunned.
Emilio carries his jacket and a very large box through the streets of Cartagena, Col. He is desperately asking residents in doorways, where is Hotel Agua Azul? He stops in an intersection, looking every direction, trying to find the hotel. He continues down the street.
Finance department trio panic and hide under their desks as the police sprint through their department. They stop one of the police officers, who tells them they are looking for Felix.
Felix and Mario are in the open top Jeep. They are wondering where Felix’s father is? Why hasn’t he arrived for the wedding? As Mario grumbles, Felix calls his dad on the phone. Dad isn’t coming. Felix, and Mario, try desperately to change his mind and come to the wedding. Felix really wants him there.
Police are in another part of the building. They still haven’t located Felix.
Toni and Paola are in the bridal suite, talking and waiting to get ready for Toni’s wedding.
Detective and Senora Fiscal discuss where to search next? where else could Felix be? Fiscal smiles - she has an idea.
Emilio finally arrives at Hotel Agua Azul.
Toni starts to get ready - puts on her lingerie garments. Emilio barges into the room and surprises himself and Toni! (Whoa!)
Felix and Mario walk back into the hotel lobby. Mario is grumbling about dear old dad’s decision not to come to the wedding. Felix acts like he has a headache, but Mario doesn’t stop. Felix asks a staff person a question and then leaves. Mario asks a staff person a question, she answers, he grumbles and kicks an imaginary can.
Emilio explains to Toni why he had to come - to get her wedding dress to her, he knew how important it is to her. She thanks him with a hug. She then asks about Olga and his trip with her. He tells her Olga is still there, waiting, while he delivered the package to Toni. She asks him to stay for the wedding. Emilio leaves to make a phone call. As Emilio walks out onto the balcony passageway, he stops to talk with Paola before leaving.
Mrs. Fiscal is on the phone, getting the directions to the hotel in Cartagena, Col., where Felix and Toni are staying and getting married. Delfina stops Mrs. Fiscal and pleads for her not to ruin the wedding. Fiscal says that isn’t up to her, that is for the police to decide - they are searching for Felix and need to find him before he disappears on his honeymoon. Fiscal walks the police officers out.
Olga cries on the phone to Emilio. Where are you? I’m sitting her all by myself, waiting for you. Emilio explains that he is in Cartagena at the hotel with Toni. Olga asks, When will you return? Emilio said, in a couple of hours. Olga starts to cry and talk faster than usual. She so desperately wants him to return now. As he hangs up, she says she understands and gives herself a pep talk to be strong and endure the hours they are apart.

it's hard to imagine Gabriel Valenzuela (Camilo) as Luis and the rough love scenes he had with Fernanda. This actor is very versatile.

Interesting - Rosura is Rosa's mother? But what is Raquel's stake is this cover up? She delivered baby Rosa to the boarding school with the diamonds and the "Rosa Diamante". Margaret never used the diamonds to pay Rosa's expenses at the boarding school? So how was Rosa able to stay with Eva at the school? There must be something else left to reveal otherwise this does not make much sense. Who has a limp? The person that stabbed Jose Ignacio had a limp....Interesting twists.

I certainly hope Jessica manages to complain to her father about JM being tied to a bed in the "happy home" he promised her. Since he seems to give her whatever she asks, there could be a big showdown between the Reptile and EV.
I guess some of the dramatic tension would be gone if she left, but I was sure wanting Clara to walk out on D8D last night.
Yeah, that sure was a big change from joy to consternation when the cop appeared and took away Willy AND the baby. I sure hope this doesn't take the rest of the novela to get resolved.

For example, FF could have called Gus, Laura or Angela and told them she was going to visit Verdugo, and they could have followed her there. And it was nice she could just leave that battlefield, and apparently get on the next Afghanistan-Colombia flight.
Was there any point to EV and Miggy's fight? I don't think EV proved he was superior. And now, by putting Miggy in chains, and forcing FF to give in to his advances, he's still not proving anything. Oh sure, he thinks once she finds out how "great a lover" he is, she'll love him instead of Miggy. Right.

He tells her he was threatened by the killers, he did nothing, so Isabel and the girls would live. But now he has to turn himself in. You'll do no such thing, says Isabel. We're going to calm down and figure out the best thing to do.
The President condemns the killing as an act of cowardice. We'll catch those assassins. Right.
Tomás goes over the security plans for Luis's speech. Anyone who comes into the plaza will be searched. Luis is satisfied the security is okay, Gloria isn't. She wants to make sure he won't get up on top of a truck in the crowd, he'd be very vulnerable. Running mate Gonzales tells Gloria she doesn't understand the complexities of security. HIS wife disagrees with HIM. It definitely seems as if the women know what's going on, and the men are being portrayed as reckless.
Pati is listening to the news on TV. Son Emilio comes in, she turns it off. But Mom, why did you turn off the TV? You're just a kid, too young for that. But Mom, is it true what they said, that Dad killed that police guy, and that he's friends with the cartel? Of course not, Emilio. Is Dad bad? How could you even think such a thing? Now go eat your soup. He leaves, and she turns the TV back on.

Soacha, August 18, 1989, Luis's nightime rally. We see lots of drinking, lots of guys with those straw hats (uh oh), including our head assassin (so much for checking everyone). President López calls Ulloa to make sure security is good, and Ulloa says it is. The President also wants some action in apprehending Escobar, and Ulloa has no response for this.
Luis is rehearsing his speech. The will of the people is our best response against terrorist acts. Gloria comes in, are you ready? He's fine, he's relaxed, he even called his parents, they're proud of him. Gloria again warns him not to get on any open top trucks or wade into the crowd. He tells her not to worry, and they hug, for a long, long time.
Piniera tells Isabel he felt terrible lying to the General. But he has to appear before lots of other officials, the press, etc. Fine, his wife responds. I've thought this over. You're NEVER to admit the truth. He takes several alcoholic drinks, says he doesn't think he'll ever have a tranquil conscience.
Gonzalo sits down to eat with Pablo outside their drug factory, wads of cash all over the table. Things are good, says Gonzo, the boys are really moving the drugs. And we have no problems with the Motoas these days. Pablo asks if Gonzo realizes what's going to happen tonight. Gonzalo replies that we're killing Galán, but that's going to close any doors we ever had to get into the government ourselves. Well, says Pablo, it's their own fault. I tried over and over to negotiate, but they wouldn't listen. And now, after we kill a Colonel in the morning, and the sure candidate for President in the evening of the same day, if they don't kneel before me now, I'll just take my killing into the civil population. He calmly continues eating.
One of Luis's sons begs Sebastian to take care of his Dad, as Tomás looks on coldly. Luis promises his sons he'll take them to see the soccer match against the Ecuadorian national team on Sunday. They all hug. The middle son gives his Dad his bullet proof vest, why don't you put it on now? Luis says he'll put it on in the car. No, I want to see you put it on. Okay, says Luis, let's go to my room. Tomás takes another bullet proof vest, here's an extra, can I wear this? No, says the son, that one will be held over my father's head. Why don't you hold it?

Pablo drinks milk, doesn't feel good. Mariachi calls to tell him his men are ready for tonight. Get the beer chilled for the celebration.

Luis gets on the open truck. Tomás and Sebastian are around him. We see Pablo bent over with indigestion. Santorini is still drinking. We see actual footage from the truck. The crowd is chanting El Pueblo esta contigo (the people are with you). The truck is blocked, but there's only two blocks to the stage, so they walk, pushing through the crowd.
Luis reaches the platform, is lifted up. He starts to speak to the crowd. But before he has said two sentences, the high priced killer lifts a machine gun from right in front of the stage, and guns him down! Pandemonium breaks out. Luis is hustled to a car. He's wounded, shot twice in the stomach. Sebastian is wounded. Several people point out Tomás yelling at him, you weren't on the platform, you didn't help, it was your fault!
At the house, the phone rings, and Gloria picks it up..........

CORAZÓN VALIENTE – MARTES – Part 1
The episode opens with El Verdugo slobbering all over Fabiola’s shoulder in bed while Miggy overpowers his guards. EV orders Fabiola to kiss him. For a minute it looks like Miggy might escape, but then we see the odious Ringo pointing a gun at him.
Willy snarls at D8D at the police station, calling him a miserable, disgusting thief who stole his daughter. He tells him to look at him and tell him why he hates his son so much. Duval, with his characteristic too-much-Ambien expression, tells D8D he can take Luz. The rotten creep kisses the baby to torture Willy, something we’ve never seen him do before.
Ángela finally tells Sam what happened to JM, and that the Reptile even recorded murdering him, while Nora cringes in shame in the background. Ángela says she feels dead and only manages to stay upright for the children.
The Reptile whines to JM about all the things that happened to her, jail, the nuthouse -- as if she was a perfectly innocent victim. He tells her that she can only have him with her by forcing him. She should do what she wants; she’ll never have him. She says she’s going to disfigure him, and no other woman will ever want him. She cuts his face with the knife while he screams.
Fabiola defies EV. She says she loves Miguel Valdez. He tells her not to mention him ever again or she won’t see him alive. She tells him that with all his power there’s a place he can never enter: her heart. He tells her she’s hurting his feelings. Mention him again and he’ll kill him.
Ringo is as charming as ever. He chains Miggy back up and tells him that EV wants him alive so he’ll be aware of what a fabulous lover EV will be with Fabiola.
Camilo and Clara are still rolling around in the Living Room. She says they have to forget they did this. He says he never will.
Duval thinks it will be hard to get the baby back. He asks if they had a contract with the mother. Willy says they were deceived.
Ángela tells Gus how bad she feels. He offers to try to help her, but she refuses. She says the two of them don’t have a future.
Apparently EV didn’t know Ringo was back. They grin with pleasure in their bromance. Ringo tells EV that Miggy is getting stronger. EV insists he has to be kept alive.
D8D brings the baby and give her to Clara, insisting SHE is the baby’s mother. Nora arrives. Clara leaves with the baby. Nora asks how he could have taken Willy’s child. She says that she was in jail for doing nothing; this time it will be worth it. She pulls a gun and puts it in D8D’s face.

She tells him that, if he kills Miguel Valdez, he will kill her. He lifts her up while Miggy screams in frustration.
Fabiola has fainted in EV’s bedroom. Aha! The classic pregnancy symptom.
Nora tells D8D he doesn’t deserve to live. [Right on, lady!] She grinds the gun in his face. And we almost got rid of the SOB, when Camilo comes in and gets the gun away.
Ringo tortures Miggy by telling him he heard Fabiola screaming with pleasure.
Fabiola glares at EV when she wakes up. He says he’s not an ogre. He tells her not to try to escape or he’ll kill Miggy. He’ll let her rest and recover for tonight only. [Sorry, writers! We’ve seen this before. El Verdugo is never going to make love to Fabiola. Something will always prevent it.]
Clara tells Nora that “we” love the baby. Nora tells her that she might, but her husband doesn’t love anyone. He destroyed Nora’s life and that of his children.
The increasingly disgusting and unhinged Reptile tells JM he fainted from pain, but she cured him, bandaged him and brought him to her room so he’d be more comfortable. He says he only wants to live for his children. She gets all giggly saying they can bring the kids to live with them. This does not go over well.
Fabiola comes out to a patio table dressed in a ridiculous outfit with a hat. Judging by what he selects for FF and for Jessica, our Mafioso has terrible taste. He tells her he hired a woman to teach her how to walk [in high heels, I guess]. He’s got a big-time Pygmalion complex. He has Ringo parade a chained up Miggy past them. He also says he’s going to put him to work so he won’t think things he shouldn’t. Fabiola tells EV he told her he’d let Miggy go. He says after she keeps her word.
Gus and Laura both decide to go to Colombia. They leave Duval running things, I guess. It’s a great time to be a criminal in LA.
Génesis is still very depressed. She asks Nora if she’ll be her grandmother and, of course, the answer is yes.
Watching Miggy with a yoke on his shoulders carrying bags of something heavy, Fabiola says she’ll go up to his room right now and get it over with. She can’t stand to see Miguel suffer. He doesn’t look too happy seeing how much she loves Miggy. He kisses her in front of him again.
Jessica has come in to talk with JM. She’s afraid to help him because of the Reptile. She says she’ll try to tell her mother. He looks blank. She says that Laura is her mother. She runs out just before the Reptile comes in to inject JM with more drugs.

D8D thanks Camilo for saving him from Nora and gives him the day off. The sneaky rat Rodrigo is listening in and rushes in to tell D8D that Luis looks longingly at Clara. D8D says not to worry, they wouldn’t dare!
The Reptile brings a drugged JM out to the patio in a wheelchair to show him off to Miggy. Miggy shouts at him that Fabiola is here, and JM begs him to save her. The Reptile realizes that her little outdoor plan had unintended consequences.
Gus and Laura appear to have arrived in Colombia. He asks Laura how far she’ll go to help him. She replies “up to the point that my daughter gets hurt”. He tells her she must realize that to save JM, he’ll have to get rid of El Verdugo.
We get more disgusting scenes of villains preening thinking they’re winning over the objects of their desire. Fabiola is dressed up in another dress, makeup plastered all over her face. He’s putting a necklace around her neck, unbearably smug. He notices the ring Miggy put on her finger and removes it, over her protests. He puts two other rings on her fingers, one to represent his heart. He’s getting ready for his big move when there’s a knock. He’s furious but controls himself seeing it’s Jessica. She says that Ringo wants to see him. Jessica comes in all smiles saying that Fabiola is her father’s love. FF tells him she loves Miggy.
Ángela tells Camilo she wants vengeance for JM’s death. He leaves the room, and Clara comes to the door. Clara says she wants to talk to Ángela about Luis Martinez. Just then Camilo comes back into the room with Violeta under his arm. Génesis calls him Camilo!
JM tells the Reptile not to give him any more drugs. He needs to be lucid. He says he’ll make love to her if she unties his hands.
Sammy tells Willy to go home and rest. D8D slithers right in after he leaves. She asks what he wants. He tells her he wants her. And this is why he has her daughter. And this is why he’ll never give her back.
Miggy is either faking or really having a heart attack. He drops to the floor clutching his left arm and calling Fabiola’s name.

Thanks for the recap, Novelera, with lots of humor. Deb, I liked your comments, too.
One would think that FF could tell Jessica that her father is forcing her to have sex and threatening to kill her true love, but probably someone will interrupt before Jessica learns much of anything.
I'm hoping they now tell Clara the truth about Camilo, since she seems to be helping the good guys now. I think after Camilo said he'd never forget the sex, she paused then said, me neither.
I liked when Duval told Willy he needed the best lawyer in LA, and Willy said I can't get him right now, because JM is in Colombia. Hah!
It's a good thing the Reptile can't get pregnant, since she seems to be raping JM (maybe, not sure if the drugs hinder that).

One would think that FF could tell Jessica that her father is forcing her to have sex and threatening to kill her true love, but probably someone will interrupt before Jessica learns much of anything.
I'm hoping they now tell Clara the truth about Camilo, since she seems to be helping the good guys now. I think after Camilo said he'd never forget the sex, she paused then said, me neither.
I liked when Duval told Willy he needed the best lawyer in LA, and Willy said I can't get him right now, because JM is in Colombia. Hah!
It's a good thing the Reptile can't get pregnant, since she seems to be raping JM (maybe, not sure if the drugs hinder that).

I wonder if the assassination attempt was realistic. I'm amazed that the killer got so close, and got away so easily. I guess all of his helpers brought the liquor and helped get everyone partying and created the chaos.

are they going to be killing poor innocent JI every night, (why doesn't stalker guy go after Gabriel who abuses Andrea and burnt him up), and Barbie is pretty good at selling the idea that Rosa is behind this, (prancing back and forth with Corina in their heels) maybe with Ramon, the legal father of Eduardito, (Ramon is actually looking like a good guy compared to every one else), and Margaret toying with Rosaura, shoving an extra crazy pill in her mouth, it's good that Rosa at least gets the idea that Rosaura might be her mother, even though she doesn't believe it, but why can't someone mention this to the good doctor Antonio, who might then suspect Rosa as his daughter, but then he fell from grace last night by kissing Raquel (who willingly jumped in but then said this can never happen), but I liked it that when Geraldo got upset he went right over and punched Rodolfo, maybe everyone can start doing this, and Lu's friend that likes Martin, please nobody give her a gun, oh my goodness, these people need help!

Thanks Shallowgal for filling in the blanks, I figuted it out when the camera panned to his sick psycho bulletin board and saw the picture of Junior. JI was at Junior's and was mistaken for him by the AndreaObsessedLimper.
Deb/Shallowgal I hope the "JI death" isn't really true because I can't see Junior and Rosa becoming a couple. I would also like the mess between Margaret-Raquel-Rosa to get straightened out.

CORAZÓN VALIENTE – miércoles – Part 1
Miggy appears to be having a heart attack. Ringo asks EV what he is going to do with FF now that he knows that she is pregnant with Miggy’s baby.
JM tells the Reptile that he wants to have sex with her. She is doubtful of his motives since she knows he hates her. JM replies that he doesn’t want to live like this, looking at her splendid body has made him feel something (nausea?). He recalls that they were always good in bed.
EV and Ringo go to the dungeon to see Miggy who is writhing around on the floor. The guards can’t hold FF back who runs to Miggy and begs him not to leave her. EV says that he has called a doctor.
Clara is confused after Génesis and Violeta call the guy she believes is Luis – Camilo. Angie gets rid of the girls and tells Clara that in this house they call him Camilo even though she knows that he is Luis. Apparently this is for the girls’ benefit. Clara asks Camilo what he is doing there and he replies that he has come to see Violeta, who is his daughter, after all. He asks why Clara is there and she replies that she came to ask how Camilo is.
D8D tells Sam that he could have given her so much more than Willy could. His consolation prize is having her wake up every day knowing that her “little Sammy” is with him. He will never give her back. He says that he made a big mistake in naming the baby Bernardita. He should have named her Sammy.
The Reptile agrees to have sex with JM but she takes precautions. She tells the guard to activate the hidden camera in her room and to take action if he sees JM trying to kill her or escape.
Ringo tortures Miggy by telling him about how EV is having sex with FF.
Nora tells Willy that she tried to kill D8D. Willy tells her not to ruin her life for that piece of garbage. Nora replies that she has nothing to lose and she will kill D8D if that is what has to be done.
EV wants FF to kiss him with her mouth open and she complies.
Gus asks Laura how she could have fallen in love with a criminal like EV. She replies that he wasn’t always like that and recounts some stories of how shy he was and how it took him six months to get the courage to kiss her. Then Gus asks how she could have left her daughter to be raised by a narco. Laura replies that EV isn’t a narco to Jessica. He’s her father and she is happy with him.

JM is having some rough sex with the Reptile. The guard is on the phone with his girlfriend and is distracted.
Camilo asks to be alone with Clara. She tells him that she tried to love D8D but now she is afraid of him. She says that she isn’t afraid of Camilo even though she should be. Camilo tells her that someday she will know the truth. She makes the obligatory reply – Don’t you trust me?
EV tells Miggy that he is going to get FF pregnant tonight and he can be the padrino of their baby.
JM tries to strangle the Reptile in earnest. The guard comes in shooting. There is a fight. JM shoots the guard and the Reptile gets shot, too.

Of course they are going to put Gabriel in there, Telemundo thinks he's their lucky streak, the last 3TN's he's been in have been ratings gold for them.
I want to see a TN with Gabriel and Fernando Colunga, and not as enemies, not as rivals I would like to see a genuine buddy TN. (So we can have at least 3 nights out of 5 without their shirts on!)

FF is having breakfast by the pool in a bikini. False Ofélia brings her food and gives FF Miggy’s ring. Meanwhile Miggy is sneaking around in the bushes. He makes eye contact with FF. EV shows up. FF tells him that she wants to sunbathe topless. EV sends the guard away and FF takes her top off and gives EV a look.
Gael goes to see D8D. He says that he has has influence in the court system, which can be put to use for D8D’s case or for Willy and Sam’s case depending on who pays the most.
Sam holds her enormous baby in the neonatal intensive care unit while Willy looks on.
EV tells FF that she needs bigger boobs. He calls a doctor buddy to arrange for a boob job and while he is on the phone, FF runs to Miggy. Miggy tells her that he faked his heart attack. They find a conveniently saddled horse while EV goes in pursuit of her and Miggy.
Willy does not believe that Gael wants to help him and Sammy. He fires him.
A guy in the bar where Gus and Laura are wasting time is handing around a picture of JM. Neither of them appear to be surprised that a supposedly dead guy is being searched for. Laura simply asks the guy to give EV a message that she is in town & wants to see her daughter.

Jean, another great recap of another hilarious episode. I also loved that huge, very healthy looking baby Sam was trying to hold up.
EV said "You know what they say in my country, Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso". (Without breasts there's no paradise). That was the name of a telenovela that the actor playing EV starred in, playing a druglord, and demanding that the main girl have a boob job (which she did). I'm sure FF will not have one, and I think she looks absolutely perfect just as she is.
Thank goodness for incompetent doctors. The doctor who examined Miggy apparently told Ringo there was a "90% chance he really had a heart attack, but he won't know until he has further tests." Right. It's really that easy to fake out a doctor to make him think you had a heart attack????
Good thing FF had those long pants handy to put on. Also, I saw her put the ring in her ultra high heels. What happened to them, and it? Let's not ask.
The Reptile didn't seem to suffer much from being shot in the arm.
It certainly appears that Gael is NOT helping Sam and Willy, and will really work with D8D, but I guess if he DID help get the baby back, Sam would be grateful.
I'm really enjoying the scenes with Clara, whom I think is great looking, especially now that she's ditched her old dowdy wardrobe.

I'm sure FF will not have one, and I think she looks absolutely perfect just as she is.
Thank goodness for incompetent doctors. The doctor who examined Miggy apparently told Ringo there was a "90% chance he really had a heart attack, but he won't know until he has further tests." Right. It's really that easy to fake out a doctor to make him think you had a heart attack????
Good thing FF had those long pants handy to put on. Also, I saw her put the ring in her ultra high heels. What happened to them, and it? Let's not ask.
The Reptile didn't seem to suffer much from being shot in the arm.
It certainly appears that Gael is NOT helping Sam and Willy, and will really work with D8D, but I guess if he DID help get the baby back, Sam would be grateful.
I'm really enjoying the scenes with Clara, whom I think is great looking, especially now that she's ditched her old dowdy wardrobe.

Tomás is acting like a bumbling fool, not knowing where to go, as Cesar Gavrila and his wife tell him to take them to the hospital where Luis must be going. Gavrila says it can’t be Soacha Hospital, because the crooks would go there to finish the job. It must be a local clinic, so they go to the Bosa Clinic. That is indeed where Sebastian is taking Luis. But Luis needs to be operated on, and the doctors say he has to be transferred to Kennedy Hospital. Sebastian collapses, and we see he’s badly wounded, too. He’s transferred to an operating room, Luis is sent to Kennedy Hospital.
Niki calls Ana Maria, Stop the Presses! They were just about to print the morning edition with the killing of Oswaldo Quintana on page 1, but she tells Ana Maria Luis was shot and it could be serious. Ana Maria tells Nene (that’s what she calls the non Cano editor, I know it means baby, but maybe that’s really his nickname), and Nene stops the presses.
Gloria and the boys are on the way to Bosa clinic, she tells the boys it’s just a shot in the arm (that’s all she was told). They see Sebastian being wheeled into surgery, looking bad. They then realize they have to get to Kennedy Hospital. Everybody’s going from hospital to hospital..
In Medellín, Pablo wants a doctor, too, says he’s dying. He says we’ve gotta go into hiding. Fabio says what’s going on, Pablo says ask Gonzalo. The news is on the radio. The President calls a meeting. Miguel, the assassin, is on a City bus, hearing the news, pretending to be appalled, but actually happy, although he’s not happy Luis is still alive, and tries to hear the name of the hospital. The Galan family arrives at Kennedy Hospital, Gavrila greets them, has no news. Back at the Bosa hospital, Sebastian dies.
The President yells at Ulloa, you promised me everything would be okay! You said you trusted the security team! I SHOULD ask for your resignation. But I won’t, we don’t need more instability. I’m going to pass a series of new laws to find and catch these criminals. I’m forming a new unit to take over the operation. Ulloa wants his army guys to run it. The President says no, but I do want you to recommend a person to run it.
At the hospital, the doctor comes out, Gloria says how is he? We did all we could. What? I’m sorry M’am, but he was shot below the bullet proof vest, in the groin, and he lost a lot of blood. I’m sorry.
The news spreads like wildire, Ana Maria says of course it goes on page one, just the words Galan killed in a huge headline. She says she feels as if the country’s in a whirlpool. Has it hit rock bottom? Either the government does in Escobar, or I’m afraid that’s the end of our nation.
The President condemns the “magnicido” (assassination), as done by a small group of narcos who have declared wa on our country. We’ll find them and punish them, both the actual killers and those who gave the orders.
Miguel the killer watches on TV. We hear the words, “that guy was right next to the stage”. I think “that guy” was Miguel’s second in command, a guy with a greying beard and tied back hair. This guy gets home, says “Mom?” Could it be that this guy will be recognized and traced? We’ll see.

I too heard the "Sin Senos no hay Paraíso", Hombre, the first novela I saw Gregorio Pernía in, and was also wondering how Fabiola was running in those heels, when she was getting lessons on how to walk in them, especially with Miggy's ring in there.
I'm liking the Camilo / Clara thing as well, (this is a totally different side to this actress, Daniela Navarro, then I saw in Relaciones Peligrosas) but here dealing with Camilo/Luis, I don't recall anyone ever telling her about Camilo or about Luis' marriage to Angela, etc.

Rosaura seems to have been holding something about Raquel's cloudy past over her head for some time now, but now that she is so wacko, Raquel isn't feeling the pressure. Will she take the suspected crazy pills to the good doctor to be analyzed, before Rosaura is taken away to be under the 'special' care of an acquaintance of Margaret, or will she do nothing, and add yet another hidden secret to her long list?
this novela is a good study in how everyone's self interests are seriously hindering the lives and goals of the others. It is quite rare here that a relationship doesn't have some sort of secret agenda going on, and Rosa, who HAD the biggest secret of them all, seems to be the only one that consistently blows these things away, but she has now been defeated...
Carla Hernández, as Rosa, is quite fascinating to watch in this!

I wouldn't call CORAZON VALIENTE ratings gold. UNA MAID EN MANHATTAN and ESCOBAR are at the high end of what Telemundo can pull nowadays, a weekly average of 0.7 18-49 demos and above (discounting LA REINA DEL SUR which was a once in a decade phenomenon for the network).
We can't even talk about averaging 0.7 over a week with CV because only one episode has pulled that number since its premiere week and that was all the way back on March 27th. The previous novela in that time slot, FLOR SALVAJE, would average 0.5s, but then started to see a bunch of 0.7s in its final three months, seeing its average 18-49 demos grow four months in a row to its finale.
CV long ago, basically in April, stalled out at an okay average rating of 0.5. I don't think CV will see another 0.7 until its final week. Like UNA MAID, which saw its final two months dip to an average 0.5 demos before finally rising back up in its final two weeks, CV has just run too long to see ratings growth at this point.
And contrary to what various actor/actress fan bases may propagate, none of the additions to the cast has seen any significant uptick in the ratings. The week Porras joined, the show averaged a 0.5 demo. The week before Porras joined, the show averaged a 0.5 demo. The week after Porras joined, the show averaged a 0.4 demo. The next week, back up to 0.5. And it has gotten a 0.5 rating every week since except for one week it averaged a 0.4 which is directly attributable to July 4th where it got a 0.3.

But, both actors have sold me on how much they love each other.
And, I'd like to contrast Miggy's love with El Verdugo's. Miggy lets FF be FF for the most part, except he didn't want her in the army and away from him. He teases her about her voracious appetite and the two of them appear to have lots of fun together, even the kind of weird tango club.
El Verdugo doesn't love Fabiola for who she is, even though he says he fell for her because of her spirit. He's a controlling man. His plans are for everything to be HIS way. HE selects the clothes and congratulates himself on them. HE removed the ring that meant something to her, callously saying it wasn't real gold, to put on the rings HE selected.
He tells her over and over how her life is going to be, responding to him as the "world's best lover", having HIS children and, I'm sure, never leaving his "compound".
The icing on the cake was deciding she needed bigger boobs, not as an idle remark but jumping up to call his favorite surgeon! She's supposed to go under the knife because of what HE wants, never mind how she feels about it.
I sure hope they get away tonight. I've had about all I can stand of EV pawing her and gloating over Miggy.

We see a montage of Galan's speeches, the red short-sleeved shirt, the adoring crowds, real footage mixed with shots from our show. We hear the song El Guerrero, the warrior.
The headlines bemoan the loss, the blow to the country. Galan's coffin is in the Senate chamber, Quintana gets a military funeral. The President speaks again, saying the same things. Santorini wants to make an appearance at Galan's wake, Gloria is appalled, and asks Gavrila to head off Santorini. Santorini talks tough to Gavrila, I'll leave, but you're gonna have to deal with me.
Pedro argues with Pablo. You've made us targets. Well, bring em on, replies Pablo.

Helicopters and soldiers raid Nápoles. Of course all the important guys get out in time. Chili on a motorcycle leads a caravan of SUV's away. We see Pedro Motoa get on a plane. Shortly thereafter, the cops arrive at the airport, too late again. They do burn a huge cache of drugs, though. We see that the war between the government and the cartel has begun.

CORAZÓN VALIENTE – jueves – Part 1
Contrary to some of our hopes, we didn’t make much progress in this capitulo getting our heroes out of danger. Only JM ends up in a somewhat better position – at least he is not in the Reptile’s clutches for now but he does have a run in with a reptile of which more below.
EV and his henchmen are out looking for Miggy and FF. Miggy is in some kind of pit. At first I thought it was one of those man traps but apparently not. Miggy gets FF into the pit with him and they hide there. EV walks around very close to where they are and says that he can smell them and believes they are very close.
Willy attacks Gael and tells him to get out of their house.
Clara tells the baby that she has gotten into a mess (“lio”). She knows that the baby isn’t hers but she cares for her as if she was. Camilo overhears this and tells Clara that she is a good person. They end up kissing.
The guy with the photo asking about JM tells Gus and Laura that he is a police officer from Bogotá looking for JM. Laura tells the guy that JM is dead but the guy wants evidence (unlike his US counterparts) that JM is dead and that the Reptile killed him. The guy tells Gus and Laura that they don’t have any authority in Colombia and should go back to the US.
EV goes back to the house to be with Jéssica and leaves Ringo in charge of searching for Miggy and FF.
Sam tells Willy not to let his jealousy get in the way of finding their daughter. Willy just keeps saying that Gael dispresptected (I hate to use that verb but it’s an easy translation of “falta de respeto,” which is what Willy keeps saying). Willy and Sam end up mad at each other just like they used to, which is nice to see again. Sam sure got her figure back quickly!
Miggy and FF climb out the the pit.
The Reptile wants the people in the town to help her find JM as payback for all the things she has done for them.
JM is in the woods and he gets bitten by a big snake (it looked like a python to me).
Laura has a “mal presientimento,” a bad feeling. Then EV’s guys come for her.
Gael finds Sam at the hospital and offers his help to get her baby back.
Jéssica (who is back in her gold hot pants) is so happy with her dad but she wants to call Nic. She also asks EV about what is going on with JM. EV tells her that it is best not to get involved with husbands and wives. (But JM isn’t married to the Reptile. This total non answer appears to satisfy Jéssica.)

The Reptile tells EV that she wants to punish JM for making her look like a fool and then escaping. She says that she knows how to do it.
Ringo calls EV and says that he has found Miggy and FF. Sure enough, Miggy and FF have found a building that just happens to have a bed in it and are going to use it to have sex when Ringo and his guys burst in. They take FF.
Gael tells Sam that he has an uncle who has a lot of influence. He arranges for Sam to meet this uncle and tell him everything that happened. Sam agrees.
Nic tells Willy that he can’t do his homework because he can only think of Jéssica. Jéssica calls Nic (with EV present). She tells him that she misses him. Then Laura comes in.
Gael reports on his meeting with Sam to D8D and asks for an advance. D8D nixes that.
Clara tells Camilo that she is a sinner – she can’t stop thinking about and desiring Camilo. Camilo replies that is what love is like. Clara says that she will divorce D8D to be with Camilo.
We see JM wake up in a bed in some house where outside it is pouring rain. Back in LA, Génesis and Angie pray to JM in heaven.
Ringo brings FF to EV. She is still in her bikini but is wearing a man’s long-sleeved shirt. Ringo, who always wears a vest and a short sleeved shirt is shirtless. EV almost shoots Ringo out of jealousy but Ringo manages to convince him that he lent FF his shirt to cover her up.
EV chides FF. He trusted her and she ran off with Miggy. FF asks what EV wants most. He says that he wants her love and her heart.
The bad guys have Miggy again. The Reptile comes in and gives him a gratuitous kick.
Willy and Sam make up in their usual manner - in bed. Sam asks Willy how he behaved when she was in the hospital. Willy swears that he would never have sex with another woman.
JM is in the house of one of EV’s guys (he looks like that guy who was monitoring the video when JM and the Reptile were having sex but JM killed him.) The guy says that JM was lucky – the snake that bit him wasn’t venomous. The guy makes it clear that he is just an employee of EV and an underpaid one. JM offers him money to let him escape.
While Willy and Sam are rolling around in bed, Willy gets a call from D8D. Does Willy know what Sam was doing this afternoon with Gael? Willy tells Sam that D8D is trying to separate them again but he won’t let him.

JM offers his captor money and notes that EV didn’t even pay for him to get a decent prosthesis. The guy has an artificial leg.
The Reptile’s scheme to get back at JM is to have the brother of one of EV’s guys who is in LA, kidnap JC and bring him to Colombia. [EV warned the Reptile that if she put children at risk again he would kill her so it will be interesting to see how he reacts to this plan.]
EV has FF get dressed and made up and sets up a fancy dinner for her with champagne. FF starts knocking back the champagne [she doesn’t know that she’s pregnant and shouldn’t drink]. They end up in the bed. FF seems pretty out of it. EV is kissing her and taking her clothes off when she says, “Miguel.” That apparently acts as a bucket of cold water on EV. He leaves FF.
D8D’s call does not shake Willy’s belief that Sam would never betray him.
EV goes to Laura’s room and tells her to forget that he is EV and she is a police officer. They can just be Maria and Javier. They kiss.
Nora tells Angie that things are calm enough that it’s time for her to find the Reptile. [Eventually the whole cast will go to Colombia.] Angie gets a phone call – a guys tells her to get $3 million if she wants to see JM again.
Sam goes to supposedly meet Gael’s uncle. The uncle isn’t there. Gael makes some comforting moves on Sam and we see D8D using a camera with a telephoto lens to photo this. Sam tells Gael that he’s gone too far. Meanwhile, D8D has sent a text message to Willy with a photo of Sam saying this is what your woman is capable of doing for her child.
The Reptile shows up at Gus’ hotel room with a gun.
FF wakes up the next morning and asks EV what happened. He said that they had a marvelous night. [So EV is going to let FF believe that they had sex and when FF finds out that she is pregnant, she is going to assume that the baby is EV’s with predictable consequences.]
Finally, we see a guy slumped over the counter in a bar. Another guy comes up with a gun and pokes him. We see that the guy at the bar is Miggy. He looks up groggily and the guy with the gun says that he is a policeman. He calls Miggy “Jesús Matamoros.” So apparently EV has fulfilled his promise to let Miggy go but he has somehow given him the identity of a wanted criminal with predictable consequences.
Laura asks EV about JM and Miggy. EV tells her that JM is dead and that Miggy is his business. She appears to be willing to leave it at that. Why did she bother to go to Colombia anyway? EV wants her to leave but the roads are flooded so she has to stay overnight.

Great recap, Jean. Well, every day it's something new, over and over again. Yes, the thing with FF thinking she's pregnant by EV when she was drunk and didn't even have sex is typical telenovela stuff.
I guess the guy calling Angie is the one holding JM, not sure about that. But although Angie doesn't have $3 million, most of the other characters do, so that shouldn't be a problem.
I think they implied that EV and Laura had sex. EV must have gotten worked up over FF and needed some action. Not sure about this, but Laura definitely surrendered to him, after hesitating a moment.

I can't stand it that they're pulling all this stuff to separate Sam/Willy and FF/Miggy. Of course, this not being reality, FF isn't going to wonder why there isn't any "evidence" of this hot sex having taken place.
And, of course, she'll probably believe every word out of his mouth and not even wonder if the baby could be Miggy's. I'm rather surprised he's willing to take her baby as his own, given his monstrous ego. I suppose he thinks it would bind her to him.

I bet you're right about the no-leg guy, Novelera. When he showed his prosthesis, I wondered where the hell that came from. I hadn't noticed anyone even limping. Obviously, EV doesn't have a good workers comp plan.
I think the real reason that JM fainted after being bitten by the snake was to tease us into thinking he was dead but you could argue that the fear engendered by being bitten and the residual of all the drugs he'd been given just lowered his blood pressure and caused him to faint.
Yes, Hombre, I think EV and Laura had sex, too. I just didn't put that in my notes.

on the snake thingy the way I understand it is,
"only venomous snakes have fangs"
and those were definitely two fang punctures in JM's arm
so it could have been a poisonous snake in it's Halloween costume,
and maybe it's just JM's overexposure to reptiles,
and he is getting a little immune to the poison.

What I read on the internet is that pythons have teeth in the front - don't know if they call them fangs - that actually point somewhat backwards in the snake's mouth. This is to enable them to get a grip on the prey that is hard to break by its pulling away. Python owners posted that, when bitten, you try to get the snake to let go by: putting cotton ball soaked with alcohol near its nose! If you pull your hand free, there's more damage because of the backward slant of the teeth.
I agree, Jean, that they had JM look all woozy for suspense about venom.
I remembered something else about the one-legged man. One of the guys who was beating up on Miggy during one of the multiple times EV's guys captured, then lost him, said that he hated him for his brother's having lost his leg.

Rosaura blurts out to anyone and everyone, except those that need to know, that Rosa is her daughter, no confirmation on who the father is, Margaret whips up a big batch of crazy soup for Rosaura, then later has the babbling Rosuara swept off to the funny farm in a straight jacket, so I guess Rodolfo and Margaret now rule the Sotomayor mansion, Barbie goes to the hospital to see JI, holds his eyes open while she rambles on, Junior brings by Eduardito, JI instantly wakes up and pushes Barbie out of the way so he can see his son, Geraldo refuses to have anything to do with his grandson, the diamante rosa is found to be worth only a few thousand so Andrea doesn't sell it, it's too pretty, so Rosa is left with no competent legal help, Rosa asks Andrea to get Junior to help but I don't think Andrea likes the idea of Rosa and Junior together, no problem, two faced Gabriel says he will take care of everything, Rosa shows up in her first court appearance, looking ravishing, and the charges are read, a long list of fraud and identity theft stuff, then for murdering Horatio, what? and Federico, what? and attempting to kill JI, what? and I think the judge was then going to add every unsolved crime in Mexico, please someone, anyone, help Rosa.
