Por ella soy Eva #61 10/10/12: Men, Lies and Deception
Labels: por-ella
So Renato is ambitious and could be the brother of JC, and the girl, Claudia, I wonder if she is Modesto's too? She is sixteen I think. Lucia was so great in the beginning of this TN, I hate the way the writers have made her so sappy and needy.
So Eugenia is going to figure out that Eva is really JC. I wonder if Eva will play this off, and tell her it's her imagination. I wonder if Eugenia will buy it. This will be interesting.
Adriano so has it bad for Eva. It was too funny with Eva, slapping Adri every chance she got. Adri is really sappy too sometimes as far as Eva goes, he is still mourning for JC, but I don't like his attitude about the women working on the Playa project. I wonder if he was betrayed by another woman, besides the little chippy he had on the side, and this is why he is so gunshy about women working at G.I.
I am totally confused. Does Carmen still work for Modesto? Why is she staying in a hotel? If the daughter is 16 then it would not surprise me if Renato is Mo's son. If he is JC's brother, why is working at GI?
Loved the pool game with Eva and Eugenia.
I wish Mimi would give Sylvia a complete makeover. It might change her attitude about herself. It might even change Mad Dad and his attitude toward her.
If Pluto has so much money, why in world can't he buy himself some new shirts and a suit that does not glow in the dark?
Poor little tyke, I wish someone would sit down and have a talk with him.

I guessed it, but I'm still shocked that my theory about Renato looks to be correct.
Rosemary P- Once of the things Carmen and Modesto argued about was that their son always compared himself to JC. So although JC never knew about them, they obviously knew about the legit family and the son was always jealous.
Renato kept asking questions about JC. He intends for JC's old office to be his, and when he looked at that photo of JC he said something snotty. It's pretty much a sure thing that he's the missing jealous son.
I don't see how JC can back out of admitting the truth to his mom. She has now seen the photos of JC's step by step transformation to Eva on the wall of his room.

So, yes, whoever guessed Renato's agenda was right on. He does seem to be out to take everything that belonged to Juan Carlos. At first I thought that the second family was innocently living in the provinces & didn't realize that Modesto had another family in the city. Now it appears that the lover knew all about Eugenia & JC and she knew where Modesto lives. But she also called him her "esposo" What's up with that?
Oh I hope that Eugenia will accept JC's explanation --and his support. I hope that this shock doesn't send her round the bend.
BTW do you all believe that there is anything really wrong with Eugenia? Or is Modesto slipping he some sort of meds that keep her confused because she found out about his secrets?
Guera
Eva and Eugenia as pool sharks! What fun! I like how they insisted that their payment for losing be accepted.
Yes, too late to turn back now--Eugenia has seen the evidence that Eva is JC. We can only hope they team up and she supports him and he helps her.
Although Eva keeps telling Adri not to watch her backside, it looks like she was adding some extra swing and sway to her hips for his benefit. Eva, you sassy thing, you!

It seems to me that Eugenia has been perfectly lucid lately. If memory serves, the last time she had an episode was when Eva took her to the play. When Eva took her to the doctor and the pool hall, she was firmly in 2012. In fact she told Eva that she's a has-been - nobody's interested anymore.
Whereas back before Juan "died" she was studying scripts and thought she was back in her glory days.
Maybe it's because, as she said regarding leaving Modesto, "I didn't have anything else." Perhaps her line is dim between past and present. When her world was dark she easily wandered into former times. But now that she has a friend and a reason to get out of bed in the morning, she wants to live in the present.
Vivi was definitely right - Renato's gotta be Modesto's son. I'll bet Renato has been hearing about how great JC is all his life (and what a loser he is compared to JC). So, is he at GI to show he is the better man? What will he do if he uncovers proof of JC's innocence? Lots of interesting possibilities there!
The scenes with Adriano and Eva are hysterical.
I also hope for a makeover of Sylvia. Especially her hair -she is constantly pushing back her bangs - drives me crazy.

Despite his facade of respectability, Modesto is a nasty piece of work. He wasn't at all concerned about the son who hasn't been heard from in months! Just wanted his mistress and daughter to go back to the province and not embarrass him. He almost seemed glad the son (I also assume it's Renato) was gone, since he isn't a "real man" like JC. Is that perhaps a reference to Renato being gay, rather than a womanizer? I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's been drugging Eugenia to confuse her and get people to discount anything she says as ramblings of mental illness.
I'm so glad Eugenia knows now that Eva is JC. I hope he doesn't try to keep confusing her. I think she can keep the secret, and she'll be so happy knowing he's near.
I also liked that Eugenia and Eva didn't let the guys let them out of the bet. They don't need to be babied.
I agree, La Paloma, Eva scolds Adriano not to watch her ass as she leaves a room- "Look at the ceiling!" and the next moment she's sashaying in front of him as they enter his office. Mixed signals if you ask me, although maybe Juan Carlos is loosening up about the whole thing. Certainly the show is. I'm liking Adriano more and more, and think he's getting funnier. Loved him biting off the rose in lust and frustration yesterday.
Yeah, at the beginning I thought Modesto was a gentle soul taking care of a crazy woman, but more and more he shows himself to be a nasty piece of work. Also, his disregard for the son he supposedly loves (JC) always rankled with me. Especially since JC appeared to learn all his attitudes about women from his father.
I don't think JC can get out of this one with Eugenia. And it'll be fun to watch the two of them conspire (that had been my hope for Antonia).
