Amor Bravío #63 (Uni 58) Tue 11/13/12 Catfight at the Ok Corral; ACME Anvils is hard at work.

Mariano tells Camila about the doctored documents Alonso gave her.  She’s not surprised.  Oh ho!  But that’s not all!  Mariano also tells her that Alonsobusted and Ximena are lovers!!! He recounts how he saw them macking outside of Alonso’s place, (well, actually her place) in town.  He’s sorry to have to be the one to tell her this.  She’s shocked!  He understands her reaction and that’s why he waited to tell her.  She flashes back to that conversation with her loving sis.  Remember the one where Ximena called her a témpano (iceberg) , insufferable and unbearable?  Yeah, that one.  We come back to the present and Camila has an aha moment.  Of course, now she realizes why Ximena defended Alonso so vehemently.  Now she’s angry (yes!) to think they’ve cuckolded her this whole time!  Mariano hopes it wasn’t wrong to tell her. He didn’t feel it was right for them to continue to deceive her.  Camila is soooo grateful to him for opening her eyes to this deception.  He still feels bad for being the bearer of bad news.  She knows he’ll understand that she’s so shocked to learn that her sister, her sister!.......now she realizes they were shagging while he was still living at La Malquerida.  She would expect this of Alonso, but her sister?  To think that the only thing she’s done since she came here was to shack up with her husband?  If her own sister would do this to her, what can she expect from anyone else?  Mariano hugs her and consoles her but she turns away in frustration and anger.

DION’S LAIR
Leocerdo meets w/Dion.  Dion wants to know how it is that D’Andres came to La Malquerida.  He explains that Camila hired him, against Alonso’s wishes, and Leocerdo assigned him to muck out the stalls.  With further prodding by Dion, he explains how Natalia was the one who initially brought him to the ranch.  He explains how Natalia wanted to help her bf, yada yada but to tell the truth (yeah, like he even knows the meaning of the word) D’Andres just doesn’t seem to be the ranch hand kind of guy.  He supposes that’s why D’Andres has become Dion’s trusted sidekick.  Dion explains he trusts no one and only has people around him that will bring results.  Leocerdo starts to share what he thinks but Dion says he doesn’t have him here to think.  Dion’s doing all the thinking.   He needs to know why D’Andres came here and he needs to determine whether or not he wants him amongst his minions.  Leocerdo shares that Alonso doesn’t like “El Gringo” either and has asked that El Gringo get a proper beating to put him in his place.  Dion likes the idea but cautions Leocerdo to do it in a manner that doesn’t raise suspicions.  (why does anyone trust this guy?)  Leocerdo loves it that Dion is in agreement and they both share a laugh.

La Buenaventura/Golf Course
Rocio and Refugio are taking a walk.  Rocio realizes she made a mistake and Ileana isn’t worthy of Pablo but she doesn’t agree that she should be run out on her arse.  Refugio wonders why she even wants her here.  Rocio still thinks Ileana can convince Pablo to go to USA and away from that girl, Luzma.  Refugio doesn’t know how this will happen, seeing how much he dislikes Ileana.  She’s sorry to see that Rocio doesn’t understand her sons.  Rocio concedes she doesn’t undertand them very well and that’s why she’s so desperate.  She feels threatened.  She wants to distance Pablo from Luzma…..and Camila!  Refugio thinks Camila’s presence will be more apparent if she and Mariano were to have a relationship.  She sees how Mariano is attracted to her.  She doesn’t understand how it would affect Rocio if Pablo were to go to La Malquerida.  Rocio still feels there’s a chance to separate Mariano and Camila and prevent a romance.  But she’s concerned about Pablo going to see Luzma and Camila continuing to be supportive of Luzma.  With this shared interest, Rocio’s concerned they may discover the bond that truly unites them!  Refugio doesn’t see how they could figure that out.  Rocio reminds her how Pablo was the only one who had the same blood type when Camila needed a transfusion after her accident.  What if they both start to work that out?  Refugio thinks it’s the guilt and her imagination that’s got her going. It would have been far worse if Pablo had fallen in love with Camila.  Then she would have had to confess that their love is forbidden!  Shut up! Says Rocio, she could never, ever, never, ever confess that to anyone.  No one can know that Pablo’s true father is……….Daniel Monterde….and that he and Camila are first cousins!  Wow, Don Daniel was quite the playah!

DION AND ALONSOCLUELESS
Dion has phoned Alonso to advise him of the meeting with the investors a few days ago.  Alonso is, of course, put out that this is the first he hears of this.  Dion brushes this aside telling him he’s too busy to worry about such trivialities and furthermore he doesn’t have to answer to Alonso about anything he does.  What matters is that the shareholders (accionistas) meeting is the day after tomorrow.  Alonso wonders what excuse they’ll give for not handing over the ranch.  Dion doesn’t feel they have to make any excuses.  They paid a lot of money for those permits to be delayed and since the shareholders have yet to come up with the construction permits, they have no reason to feel pressured.  He only asks, no, pleads with Alonso to behave in a dignified manner (alturas).  He doesn’t want any contradictions from him in front of the shareholders.  Alonsomaligned is angry that Dion continues to treat him as a child.  He soooo wants this to be over and never wants to see Dion again, ever!  Dion tells him the feeling is mutual, truly.  Oh, by the way, Leocerdo told him about the “favor” he asked him.  Alonsouseless tries to act as though he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.  “Alonso,” says Dion, “you don’t want to pretend (finger) with me.  I know everything.  You should know that by now.”  He goes on to tell him that for the first time in his life, Alonso’s had a good idea.  D’Andres deserves to be taught a lesson (escarmiento).

La Buenaventura/Golf Course
Mariano offers to go with Camila.  She assures him she’s strong and can take of herself.  She needn’t be strong around him, he tells her.  With him she can show her true feelings and her weaknesses.  She’s grateful their paths have crossed. He’s a good friend and she thanks him.  He assures her if she needs anything at all, she only needs to call.  She promises she will and she asks him for another favor.  She asks again that he always tell her the truth.  Ruh-roh, there goes that “truth” theme again.  Methinks Daniel is gonna be one big sorry dude pretty soon.

Elsewhere on the golf course, Rocio reminds Refugio that no one else knows that Pablo isn’t Cayetano’s son.  He’s Daniel son and Daniel died without knowing she’d given him a son.  Refugio thinks Daniel would have been pleased.  Rocio says she had to think of her sons, Mariano and Yago.  Refugio understands.  Their marriage has had its crises and this would have caused huge scandal.  Rocio has paid a high price for her silence.  A price Rocio says she’d gladly pay again.  Her family’s unity has been a struggle and she’s not about to allow Camila’s presence undermine (heche para bajo) all her efforts (esfuerzo).  The mere fact that Pablo was even born is a miracle.  She was past her child-bearing years (I’m glad she admitted that, I was gonna say she looks more like his granma).  His birth served to reunite her with Cayetano.  Cayetano worships (adoración) him.  She’ll do whatever it takes to keep her family away (alejar) from the Monterdes.  Have no doubt it, she will.

Vivi/Rafa’s place
Rafa’s on the phone with Aaron, saying he’s come to the realization that Camila’s not the girl for him but he still finds it difficult to hold back his emotions when he’s near her.  Aaron wonders if it might not be just his imagination. Bottom line, Rafa understands she only has eyes for Daniel.  Rafa goes on to explain that the Danial/Andres situation has become complicated.  They still haven’t told Camila but Daniel wants to get this over with ASAP.  As for living at Vivi’s (music swells), he surprised to see that it feels as though he’s lived here all his life.  Vivi has a way of making him feel comfortable, at peace.

Toros on the run – SALUD!

La Malquerida
Ooooh!  Sister Catfight!!!  Camila confronts Ximena!  No te hagas tonta!  (don’t act dumb) I you’re Alonso’s lover.  Ximena just laughs, “Well, gossip sure moves fast in this place.  Supposedly, Alonso doesn’t matter to you,  you’re divorcing him, aren’t you?  Why should it matter to you?” “He was my husband,” says Camila, “and you were shtuping him while he was living in this house.  My husband!”  Ximena admits it!  Camila can’t believe Ximena’s shamelessness (cinismo).  She’s her sister and he’s her husband!  Ximena screams back, “Alonso has never been your husband, or your man for that matter because you are incapable of awakening passion in any man.  Furthermore, he wasn’t able to be physical with you but he was with me!”  “You’re telling me this to make me feel bad?” asks Camila, “Well, I know perfectly well how to awaken a man.” (oh, don’t go there Cammie!) Ximena comes back with, “Well, we all know what it takes for you to awaken a man: pity and money.  Because the only thing you have to offer a man is money.  You aren’t worth anything but you can buy men.  First, Alonso who at least has some class (well that’s debatable) but now you’re getting into it with the chauffeur? Que urgida (desperate?) estas, hermanita!”  and with that, the first shove is thrown.  Camila comes back with a left cross to the kisser.  And now the hair pulling commences and they end up on the haystack.  Ximena yells for Camila to let her go and Camila responds with a rousing slap across the face.  Our Lady of Lavender, Agustina, is innocently walking up the path, clueless as to what is happening.  She hears the screaming as Camila tells Ximena that she’s put up with a lot but this surpasses (supera) everything!  “Deja de victimizarte (stop playing the victim) ” says Ximena, “thanks to me Alonso plans to give you the divorce.”  “In that case gracias for stealing from me,” says Camila.  Ximena knew she was going to throw that in her face (en cara) sooner or later. Our Lady in Lavendar walks up and watches, open mouth impactada.  Camila again says how she put up with so much from her.  She put with her forging her signature and stealing from her but this is the limit (el colmo).  “Grab your things and scram!”  Well, Ximena doesn’t have to hear that twice cuz she’s fed up (harta) with putting up with Camila and her humiliations every day.  “You have no shame, Ximena!” says Camila.  “The one who has no shame is you, Camila.  How dare you complain about me and Alonso, when you’re mixing it up with el chofer!”  Agustina finally makes her presence known, “Ximena!”  “It’s true Mamá,” says Ximena, “it’s good that you heard so you’ll know who your daughter Camila truly is.” “No, we’re not talking about that,” protests Camila, “she’s Alonso’s lover.  She got involved with my husband!”  She repeats to Ximena to get her things and get the hell out of Dodge!  Ximena sarcastically says, “Of course, I forgot it was the Law of Camila who can do whatever she wants, no matter who she harms or humiliates.  As the owner you can do whatever you waaaaant!  It’s too sad that you weren’t woman enough for your husband.  And that’s what hurts you the most, your ego.  Your ego is hurt because I’m more woman than you!”  Camila’s had enough.  She shoves her one last time and repeats for the umpteenth time that she take her things and go.  ¡¡LARGATE!!!!  Our Lady in Lavendar can only look on, trying to make sense of it all.

D’Andres receives a call from Dion who tells him to hop on over the Hostal after his chores to look for Daniel.  Vivi and Rafa were seen there and he can only surmise it’s because Daniel can’t be too far away.  After the call, he tells Leocerdo that he’s served up D’Andres.  Now it’s up to him, Leocerdo, to do what needs to be done but to take care no one sees him.

Augustina runs after Ximena asking her please not to leave.  She’ll speak to Camila and plead with her to let her stay.  Nothing doing, says Ximena.  She doesn’t need her to beg Camila for anything.  Nothing would make her happier than to leave this stinkin’ ranch.  Agustina wonders where Ximena plans to live and Ximena answers her truthfully – she plans to go with Alonsonotreadyforthis.  Agustina is shocked to hear it’s true, then.  Ximena doesn’t deny it and says it’s also true about everything she said about Camila.  Agustina can’t believe she would get involved with her sister’s husband!  “Oh, please” says Ximena, “leave your obsession of purity aside.  It doesn’t suit you!”  Agustina responds that she’s never done anything to be ashamed of.  “Are you sure?” asks Ximena, “What about Tío Daniel?  You fell in love with your dead husband’s brother and your cousin Amparo’s  husband.  You never lost hope that you would someday win him over and marry him.  That’s why you came to this house with the pretext of my sister’s convalescence.  So don’t come to me with accusations.  At least I have the courage to acknowledge that I fell in love with Alonso.  And even if he was married, it was in name only.  On the other hand, you used Camila in order to be by the man you loved.  You never dared to accept that.”  She storms out of the room and Our Lady in Lavendar is in tears.

Outside, Daniel is on the phone with Rafa, telling him that Alonso told Camila that Andres is a spy for Daniel.  He explains Dion has asked him to run over to the hostel cuz Rafa and Vivi were seen there.  Rafa realizes that Dion didn’t stop the surveillance after all (duh). Daniel is sure Dion thinks he’s at the hostal – they both agree it’s best to get Aaron out of there.  (again, duh).

As he gets off the phone, he spots Camila rushing by and he calls to her, “Mi amor, mi amor!”  ok, Daniel clearly isn’t using his fideos (noodles) today.  She chastises him for speaking to her like that, someone might hear him.  She tells him of the fight with Ximena and her affair with Alonso.  Daniel wonders how Camila found out – Camila realizes he knew about this too.  He says he didn’t want to tell her because he knew it would hurt her.  Camila sarcastically asks if he thinks keeping this from her will hurt less.  He stutters and she complains about hearing it from Mariano instead of from the man she loves.  Mariano was brave enough to tell her so that she wouldn’t continue to be deceived.  Daniel should have told her!  Daniel reminds her that she said she didn’t care if Alonso had another woman.  Camila states the obvious, the other woman in this case is her sister!  He should have told her.  She’s incredulous.  She wonders what else he’s kept from her in order not to hurt her!  (There’s that truth anvil again)  She storms off.  He calls after her, to no avail.

Agustina comes up just then and asks him to drive her to the church.  He explains Dionicio needs him.  She instructs him to take her to the church and then run Dion’s errand.  He can pick her up on the way back.

Agustina heads for Camila’s cabin and demands to know why Ximena says she’s the chofer’s lover!  Not now, Mamá, not now!  When then?  Camila’s clearly frazzled and says she has an appointment and she’s running late.  Besides, she needs some time to absorb the fact that her sister is a traitorous skank!  Agustina accepts this but says she’s on her way to church.  When they’ve both returned, she wants an explanation from Camila whether she wants to or not!  Camila tearfully asks her mother to be discreet about all this.  She doesn’t want anyone else to know what has happened.  Agustina just leaves and Camila lets out a primal scream!

In her bedroom, Ximena is packing her bags and she’s on the phone with Alonso.  She tells him the bomb has finally hit.  She’ll tell him all about it when she sees him.  She has something very important to tell him.

Buenaventura/GolfClub
Marian tells Pablo that Camila was understandably upset.  She was more angry than hurt by her sister’s betrayal.  Mariano feels the same with respect to Yago but he knows Yago didn’t act in bad faith.  Pablo doesn’t want to talk about it.  Mariano assumes that in time, he’ll come to fix things with Yago.  Pablo doesn’t know about that.  Right now, it’s important for him to mend things with Luzma.  He spoke with her last night and she told him how Ileana tried to convince her to set him free.  Mariano sees now that Iliana wants Pablo for herself, otherwise why would she say that to Luzma?  That may be, says Pablo, but he has no interest in Iliana.  The only thing that matters to him is Luzma.  He wants to fight for her and thinks there’s still hope for them.  He’s even going to speak with Padre Anselmo to give him a hand.

Elsewhere in the house, Iliana is Skyping with her mother, saying it wasn’t her fault.  It was all due to that gata igualada sticking her nose where she shouldn’t.  Mums just hopes they don’t kick her out.  Dad’s business worsens by the day.  She warns Iliana not to go up against Refugio, she’ll only lose.  She needs to be more careful.  Refugio is like a member of the family.  Iliana cattily figures it’s no wonder Pablo is so taken with the cook’s daughter.  Mums warns her again to make peace with Rufi.  Iliana doesn’t see how that can happen.  Mums warns her again she’ll have to change her strategy unless she wants to end up like her, living within limits.

La Malquerida
Luzma runs up to Camila, saying she has an appt with the psychologist today.  Camila agrees to take her into town with her.  Luzma notices Cammie’s kinda down.  It’s nothing, she says, but thanks her for noticing.

Dion’s place
Hissadora comes a-calling.  She wonders how it goes with el chofer.  She noticed he didn’t take too kindly to the thought that Andres could be Cam’s lover.  Dion again denies this can be possible.  Hissadora thinks that for being such an astute businessman, he’s very innocent when it comes to his emotions.  Dion assures her he doesn’t  allow his emotions to blind him.  Furthermore, there is nothing, absolutely nothing that points to Andres and Camila being lovers.  She tells him Andres threatened her with pinning her with the Padre’s death and Cammie’s accident, and he did it with such arrogance (altanería) that it seemed to her that he may have some proof. Dion confirms it was Andres who discovered she was behind Camila’s accident.  He didn’t come out and say it was her, but he had all the clues (pistas).  As for the Padre Baldomero incident, Dion reminds her that she confronted Alonso about his indicretions in front of Andres.  If Andres had proof, Dion’s sure he would have acted on it by now.    As for his arrogance (altivez), it could be because Dion himself asked him to watch Camila.  He’s not sure who Andres is, but he’s certainly not Camila’s lover!  In fact Camila was ready to fire him because Alonso is so sure they’re having an affair.  Dion advised her not to fire him, at least not yet.  He’s asked one of his minions to check into Andres’ background.  He wants to know exactly who he is.  (a little late on this, que no?)  Hissadora wonders if he too believes Andres could be a spy for Daniel?

Church
Agustina tells Andres to come for her here and she hopes he doesn’t betray the trust she has in him. D’Andres is left impactado as Agustina walks away.

Dion’s Lair
He’d begun to question Andres’ loyalty but it never entered his mind that he could be a spy for Daniel Acosta.  Hissadora is sure he is.  She once though  it was the writer, but no, it’s Andres.  He’s definitely no vaquero, caporal (foreman), or chofer – he’s not even from these parts.  Dion is sure this will all be cleared up.  As he said, he’s asked for an investigation of Andres and those letters of recommendations he presented to the Monterdes.  Hissadora is certain Dion will see she’s right that Andres is who she says he is.  If it’s true, Dion thinks they’ll be in big trouble.  Andres knows too much about everyone.  Hissadora says he not only knows to much about everyone, but he’s also in  Camila’s bed – as much as he doesn’t want to believe it.  If that were true, says Dion, Andres would be muerto!  If it turns out Andres is a spy, he feels they’ve underestimated Daniel Diaz Acosta. Hissadora wonders how much Daniel might know.  Dion thinks that at the very least he knows Dion sent someone to kill him and also that he’s ordered Andres to kill him.  Hissadora wonders if it’s possible that Daniel knows it’s not the first time Dion’s tried to assassinate him.  She wonders if he knows Dion sent Julian to shoot him and ended up shooting his pregnant wife instead.  Dion wants to be done with all these doubts.  He puts a call in to his guy and leaves a voice mail asking if they know yet whether or not Andres is who he says he is.

Osvaldo’s Office
Camila’s come by to talk about Dionicio.  Osvaldo has more pressing news:  Daniel has contacted him.  He tells her about Tío Daniel’s letter explaining why he chose Daniel as heir.  She reads the letter aloud (like we haven’t heard it umpteen times before).  We again see Don Daniel writing out the letter.  She cries as she reads his doubts about Alonso and Dionicio and his failure to protect her.  She’s sobbing by the time she’s done.

She flashes back to his hospital bed when he tried to tell her about Alonso.  She realizes now that’s why he said Alonso’s name and why he kept blaming himself for everything.  Camila continues to cry.  Don Daniel’s last words have taken on a whole new meaning.

La Malquerida, or is it Buenaventura?
Leocerdo sneaks up on Daniel from behind, of course, and hits him over the head with a pistol.  He takes aim but before he can shoot him, Pablo runs up and pushes him to the ground.  Leocerdo sits up …… and shoots him!  Daniel gets up just then to defend Pablo and Leocerdo fires another round, this time hitting Daniel!  Leocerdo gets up and takes aim.  Pablo and Daniel are both unconscious!  And that’s where it ends!  Ay, Caray!

Somebody please kill Leocerdo already, please!!!!!

Thank you, Paquita. What an exciting episode. You did such a great job recounting the details of the fight between Ximena and Camila.

Agustina seemed more upset by Camila being involved with Andres, the chauffeur, than Ximena sleeping with her sister's husband. Nobody does anger-hurt-exasperation better than SN. Loved the touch of the straw in Camila's hair in the next couple of scenes! With the slight limp, it really showed how beaten up she has been by these many scoundrels.

Now we know more about Rocio's later-in-life pregnancy and Pablo's role in bringing her and Cayetano back together.

The long conversation between Isadora and Dio was interesting. He can't believe that Camila would be involved with Andres/Daniel. His ego is enormous!

Last scene very troublesome. As you said so well, Paquita, will someone please get rid of Leo.

By the way, to my surprise the anvil didn't drop on Osvaldo, at least not yet. Camila did get to read the letter. We'll see if she has the chance to learn any more.

Great work, Paquita. This episode rocked with action.

Augustina is completely clueless. She started out being aware that Ximeana isn't the person she should be and now she seems to forget half of this when confronted with the truth about her daughters' sex lives (I can't call what Ximeana and Alonssso have love). I can't wait to hear her rant about "el bastardo" when the truth of Daniel's identity comes out.

Por supuesto, we all realize that the shooting will delay that yet again.

While it might be satisfying to see Leoncerdo killed, prison would be better. Think about what the other prisoners would do to him for raping Luzma.

eThank you for the excellent recap! After all that is happening, I hope that Camila forgives him quickly! Afterall, so many people have gotten shot or died already. Don Daniel, Miriam, baby Daniel in vitro, Padre B, Pablo, and Camila (bull searing.

Plus, Vivi and Rafa have been threatened.

Also, I don't call what Ximena and Alonso "love" either, but does *she* REALLY think that's what it is?

Finally, Camila can kick all of the Komodos plus the wannabe (Xi) out of her house. She should do that with the quickness.

I think Osvaldo is so behind the scenes the Komodo Gang won't drop the anvil on him for a while.

Augustina is a very silly woman who derives her self-worth from a man. She'd probably be more upset to find out Dionisio is from a low class status than she would be to find out he's a two-bit grifter.

She's also more concerned that Camila is boffing the choffer than Ximena boffing her sister's husband. Augustina is very silly indeed.

I loved the catfight between Camila and Ximena. Best one ever in a telenovela.

I hope Pablo and Andres/Daniel survive so Andres can tell Camila everything and Pablo so he can mend things with Luzma.

Oh boy, seems like Isadora is starting to become paranoid about Andres/Daniel's blackmail.

Thanks so much Paquita! And UA for yesterday!

This show was so intensely wound up with all the cloak and dagger intrigue, I didn't seen how they could keep it up! I guess the shootings change the pace for a while - but how sad. Gut shots both of them - very bad.

I was relieved that Camila did get to read that letter. Thankfully the bad guys have no way of finding out what Osvaldo knows yet.

I'm not sure if Dionisio imagined gunshot wounds would be part of the "escarimiento", but seriously did he really think Leoncerdo could physically beat up Andrés?

I'm amazed at the dialog the writers write for Ximena's dialog and how it comes flying out of her mouth so fast. She sure can trash-talk!

The actress playing Agustina is very well cast for this role. I've seen her in doormat housewife roles before, but in this one she really excels - being so insulted by her daughters' non-man-worshipping attitudes, LOL!

I assume her resentment toward "el bastardo ese" is really her jealousy over Agatha having been Don Daniel's lover.

So when is Agustina going to come face-to-face with her ex husband Díaz? Shouldn't take that long - that should be funny.

Thanks Paquita for the great recap. A lot of the conversation related to the action in last nights episode was confusing to me. There were dozens of schemes and plots and it seemed everyone was talking faster than usual. But you nailed them all in amazing clarifing detail. I wish I understood the language that well!!

My favorite line: "Me thinks Daniel is gonna be one big sorry dude pretty soon". As much as I'm dreading it, I can't help but feel that whatever the consequences, he brought it on himself. The truth should have come out when they fell in love and before they slept together.

One thing I like about our herione is her temperament. She knows how to stand her ground.

As the plot thickens, we have 2 men down. Where's 911 when you need them?

That shouldn't take long and I am wondering whether Agatha ever actually divorced him. Does anyone remember any dialogue about that in past episodes? If she didn't then that would invalidate his marriage to Augustina, which would make Ximeana a bastarda.

Which would be ironically amusing.

Yeah, I can just imagine the look of effrontery on Agustina's face when she encounters Díaz! That'll have her in a huff of embarrassment, I'm sure.

ACK! Sounds like this was an awful episode! Can't wait to watch it. lol

Thanks for the nice recap. I also love your recounting of the fight. Good details and conversation.

I liked "to tell the truth (like he even knows the meaning of the word)"

and

"Our Lady in Lavender" LOL!

It will be fun to see OLIL run into Diaz. She is such a wonderful mousy actress.

Paquita, I'm in awe of your writing skills and detail. Terrific.

In answer to the question if Aggie is divorced, I imagine that being such a straight-laced woman, she wouldn't remarry if she weren't divorced first.

We know that Dan survives the shot because he's our main man, but I hope Pablo survives too. And it does delay Cam finding out about who he is. Where are they going to put Aaron now that he has to leave the inn?

The avances show that Dion finds out that Dan isn't Andres. Will Isa show up at the hospital to try to finish him off?

Sorry, UA, I misread your post about Agatha and the divorce. But I'm still guessing that Agatha did get a divorce from Dan's dad. It's Dion I'm not sure about if he was actually divorced from Amanda.

Thank you for this great recap! A lot of action going on for one episode and probably the most action so far in this TN. There's not doubt there's still more bombs to be dropped.

I was impressed yet unimpressed with the Cam/Xi fight. Cam's punch looked fake. I thought it was funny how it seemed to be in slow motion. I was ticked off by Agustina's attitude. Traveling Lady is right, she seemed more upset with Camila than with Ximena and that didn't seem fair to me. So really no matter what Cam will not enjoying hearing that Andres is Daniel what with her hating lies and secrets.

I am sure when the Rocio-Daniel-Cayetano love triangle bomb drops that won't be so pleasent either. Me thinks Rocio is trying too hard to be perfect.
--TF

For me there are two other pending issues about El Diablo and Amanda:

1. Was he legally free to marry her in the first place (She may not have been the first victim)?
2. Did he even marry her under his legal name?

Natalia will freak when she finds out that Amanda was not up-front with her about her father

That was a good physical bit of acting by the sisters. They rolled so hard Camila's headband fell forward and looked like headgear! Of course she took time to push it back on her head.

I am worried Leo will take Dan's phone and Dio will do some snooping with it and see all the calls he's been making to Aaron.

Dio had to think for a moment who "Natalia" was when Leo mentioned her. He won't be getting Father of the Year this year either.

Camila may end up donating blood or an organ to Pedro and upset Rocio's apple cart.

After all this time I can see Cayetano not holding the lack of DNA against Pablo, who is a good kid. He will definitely become cold as ice to Rocio, though.

Not a spoiler; just speculation.

Thanks so much for the recap Paquita. Yes the anvils were hard at work. The only upshot is I believe the boys will live its just how long will they be out of commission or close to a coma?

And Cam better kick the dragons out of her house. Between the adultery and fraud and murder attempt, she no longer needs those leeches in her home.

Gussie seems to have had one moment of wisdom when she stopped Alonso from attacking Cam. For most of the rest of the time, she has continued to be a very silly woman.

I'm a bit confused, was Daniels father married to Agustina first or to Agatha? I love that my lil Cami takes no crap from anyone, if this were any other telenovela she would have forgiven her slutty sister and her icky husband, it's such a breath of fresh air to see our main gal stand up for herself!

I think that Aggie is more upset about Cam and Dan than Xi and Al because being the snob that she is, a chofer is not worthy of her daughter. Al is considered higher on the economic acceptability scale, therefore acceptable.

Ellie, Dan's father was married to Agatha who is Dan's mom, and Agustina. They had Ximena.
Dion was married to Amanda and had Natalia, and now Agustina.

Paquita - Muchas gracias.

I thought Ximeana would keep trying to lie her way out, but I'm glad she admitted it. I don't believe for one minute that she even believes she "loves" Alonso. A minute ago she was trying to blackmail him about selling Mal Querida.

Things could get complicated for Pablo. Don't know how Illeana will take advantage of the situation, but I'm sure she will.

Absolutely fabulous recap of an exciting episode. I loved the fight between Cam and Xi. Glad to see Cam get in a punch, a slap and a good shove at the end.

I am also annoyed that Gussy seemed more upset about Cam boinking the driver, than Xi betraying her sister by sleeping with her husband. As cruel as Xi was, I was glad to see her throw Gussy's hypocrisy in her face.

No way will either Dan or Pablo die, but all kinds of trouble can come from them both being critical and/or out of commission. In Pablo's case, even more opportunities for it to be proved that he and Cam are related. I'm glad we got more on the back story. Pablo was a surprise baby in Rocio's late years, and his birth saved her marriage. She just had to sweep under the rug the fact that he isn't her husband's child. Oops! I don't think Cayetano is going to be very understanding when this comes out eventually.

Someone, please catch Leon and lock him up!!!

Thanks Paquita. Especially for the fast talking fight scene.

Pleasantly surprised to see that Rocio realizes Bratgirl isn’t the girl for Pablo.

Didn’t the shooting take place in town, in front of the hostel? At first I though it was at La Malquerida—and it bothered me that Nameless One could get on to the hacienda so easily (he knows it like the back of his hand--surely there's increased security), especially with our chulita walking around by herself all the time. But Dio sent Dan to the hostel, correct?

I think Agustina is criminally stupid and I feel like, for right now at least, she gets what she deserves from Dio.

Nanette

Nanette- Yes, the shooting took place in front of Amanda's hostel, where Dio sent Dan. We don't know why Pablo was there, but he did mention going into town to see the Padre to talk about Luzma, so he might have just been passing by.

Fabulous recap, Paquita. Just want to add that although the character Ximena is really low, I think the actress is fantastic. I actually enjoy watching her!

Pablo was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or the right time, depending on your viewpoint.

What will probably happen as a result of this is that El Diablo will see that Leoncerdo is a loose cannon and maybe he'll do everyone a favor and get rid of him. And give Omar combat pay for that part of the job. El Diablo knows Leoncerdo's backstory -- he probably knows it all by now -- and will have no further use for him.

It's also about time somebody points out to our stupid Gussie (Man, does that sound declasse) that El Diablo is an emotionally abusive husband.

P del B - Thanks for the great recap. You had two episodes of violence in one recap. Love this line...

"Daniel clearly isn’t using his fideos (noodles) today" ....

So now Pablo is technically the one that should inherit El Rancho Malquerida!

And, what a dumb rationalization on the part of Ximena to her mother.... "I at least admitted it". So announcing your poorly timed affections to a married man is more honorable than being discrete about them. And, coming to El RAncho to avoid being arrested for larceny is more honorable than coming to accompany your daughter so she can convalesce in a location your daughter finds healing (regardless of Agustina's motives). Hmmmm, let's weigh these actions on the moral scale. Furthermore, Ximena's character's self righteous " true love" of Al is likely equal parts sticking it to her sister. Poor Ximena, she could benefit from that psychologist in town!

Urban- Even if someone pointed out Dio's abusive behavior to her, Gusy would just deny it and refuse to see the truth.

Mena- You are exactly right about Xi's comparison of herself and Gussy. I still enjoyed her sticking it to Gussy in that scene though, just because Gussy was getting on my nerves so much.

Mena- I think if Don Daniel were alive, he would split the eanch equally between Camila, who he saw as his daughter, AND Pablo (or any other bio kid that came out of the woodwork). He always meant for Camila to be an heir. He only made that change last minute to protect Camila.

That's ranch, not eanch...

My speculation is that both D'Andres and Pablo will survive. Pablo and Luzma are destined for each other.

I like the suggestion that Cami may end up donating blood to Pablo and raise a few questions. That should ruffle Racio's feathers.

I initially liked Gussie. I could see how she fell victim to Dio's deciet and fake affection. I still had a bit of sympathy for her when she missed her wake up call immediately after the wedding when Dio started treating her badly. But after the way she treated Cami last night I'm looking forward to Dio giving her some additional opportunities to see what a rat he really is. I can hardly wait to see her face when she finds out that yes indeed, Cami does have eyes for the chofer.

I hope that Leo's gun is out of bullets and that either Dan or Pablo's wound is only superficial.

Foxy- I felt sympathy for Gussy too. I only got really annoyed when she got her knickers in a twist about that "bastard" Daniel. I was proud of her when she stood up for Cami when she saw Al getting physically abusive. But I lost much of my sympathy for her when she came back from Vegas married to Dio and started being a royal bitch to Cami about giving Dio his proper "place" as the man of the house.

Maybe maybe maybe hopefully hopefully hopefully Pablo getting hurt will be what Luzma needs to get back together with him .

Luzma will probably take Pablo's shooting as proof that Leoncio means business when he says to stay away from Pablo or else.

I can't wait for Gussie's head to explode when she finds out that 1) Cami is shagging the choffer and 2) Said choffer is the REAL heir to the ranch*

Although we know the real heir to the ranch is Pablo, and I don't think either Camila or Daniel wouldn't hestitate to give it to him.

Just think, Iliana. The "cook's daughter" might end up being the duena to a huge ranch. Hmmph.

I just finished watching, since i did a guest lecture in another class.
You sure think that this might divulge the relationship between Cam and Pablo. It just seems that someone will bonk Leo before he fires and Pablo will need a transfusion. Ximenia won't do that for Daniel.
Someone needs to bonk Augusta too.
I guess I did find the reaction of Cam somewhat confusing in that I would have thought that she would have been relieved to have his attention elsewhere.

Cindy

Yeah, in the end, any children Pablo and Luzma have could end up as heirs to BOTH Malquerida and Buenaventura. They could merge the two gigantic ranches into one super ranch!

Cindy- Cami didn't care about Al. He could boink anyone for all she cared. She cares about the betrayal of her sister. I mean, that's pretty damn low. And she knows it started even while Al was living on the ranch.

Mena, you're so right about Ximeana's hypocrisy about her mother. Camila needed to be at La Malquerida and she needed her mother. Ximeana was the one who abandoned them but in true narcissistic fashion she put her own faults on them.

Vivi, you're right about Gussie. She would just go straight into denial about all this.

It would be absolutely ironic if Pablo ended up with the ranch and Luzma as is duena, but I don't see that happening. He has no idea he is related to Camila and would think her the rightful heiress.

I'm such a city girl I could see an ending where Pablo inherits per Camila's instructions, she and Daniel marry and move to The City, she opens a veterinary practice and he gets a job as CIO of a big company.

Vivi, I posted before I saw your latest. I think Mariano will inherit most of La Buenaventura... and he has a daughter.

It's a little early to call it but I think he will end up with the Padre's sister.

Urban- I like your vision of the future for Luz-Pablo and Cam-Dan too.

I think that the foreshadowing of Pablo's heritage was when Camila was walking with Luzma by the lake and they were talking about wanting each other as sisters.

Anon207: "Luzma will probably take Pablo's shooting as proof that Leoncio means business when he says to stay away from Pablo or else." That's what I'm afraid of too, and that she'll hook up with Tolantino (sp?)

Netgirl: "I think that the foreshadowing of Pablo's heritage was when Camila was walking with Luzma by the lake and they were talking about wanting each other as sisters." I thought the same thing. With Luz married to Pablo (I'm sure it's going to happen--it BETTER happen), they will be related.

Cathyx, who was he married to first? Agustina or Agatha? Do we know?

Since Daniel is older than Ximeana, Francisco was first married to Agatha.

Ellie- Just think of the ages of the kids. Dan is older than Xi (Cami is also older than her), therefor Diaz was married to Agatha first and fathered Dan. Years later he married Agustina and fathered Xi.

Thanks PDB. Oh such violence, oh the greed!!!And Lust!!!!exciting and yet I watch it like a kid with outstretched hands on my eyes. I have followed this from the very beginning and the intrigue and suspense never subsided. I'm thinking there are still 100 episodes to go!!! How will it end!
I too am wondering Mama Metiche's lack of moral concern and too much social prejudice. I don't like her and instead I feel sorry for her. She has always loved the wrong man. Such a lonely woman.
I am for Luzma and Pablo ending up owning the MQ and happy at last and while Daniel and Camila ending up poor yet happily together too and being the vet doctor(which she really loves to be) and Daniel being the overseer of the ranch.
I love the possibility of Vi and Rafa finding each other.
I am confused by Iago, why the sudden brisk dismissal of Natalia in the hospital. With my other TNs(Abismo)(ended) and Refugio ending, I'm glad this one has a long way to go.I hope it doesnt fizzle out.

totally loved the fight between the sisters.....Camilla should not, at all circumstances accept any crap from her slut of a sister..n congrats to Silvia Navarro for her anger potrayal

Daniel better start telling the truth or else he will be swallowed alive by dear Camilla...

May the current wave of discovery continue to domiinate this TN!
