Amor Bravío #71 (Uni 66) Mon 11/26/12

Capitulo 71: The Truth Come Out Kicking and Screaming

Lo del Pasado

Gussie and Hissadora face off over Alonssso and Ximeana; Camila unburdens herself to Mariano about how everyone has deceived her.

Lo de Nuevo

La Malquerida, Courtyard: Camila tells Mariano how her love life has been a disaster. She trusted Alonssso and he deceived her and now she can't take another deception now from Andres. Mariano tells her how he hopes this is just a misunderstanding and how she can count on himself. She is strong and can pick herself up. She tells him she isn't as strong as everyone thinks she is. He offers to investigate, to talk to Andres, to do whatever she wants. She turns down his offer, but he tells her in more elaborate words that it is always open. She tells him he is a light in the darkness, an angel. He asks only to be at her side because this is all too much to endure alone. Her cell phone interrupts them. It's her lawyer telling her that Alonssso signed the divorce papers. Good news for a change. Mariano tells her that it's always darkest before the dawn [which we know isn't in the next hour or the one after that.].

La Buenaventura, Study: Amanda and Natalia talk about Camila's reaction to the recent developments. Camila wants to know everything and Natalia is afraid that she will not be able to escape a future interrogation. Amanda doesn't like this development. She tells her not to say anything that will compromise Daniel. Natalia tells her she hopes that won't happen, then quickly changes tone and direction, pretending to be on a business call  when Cayetano walks in. She ends the call quickly. Amanda makes a gesture of frustration as Cayetano asks Natalia if she has seen Mariano, who enters promptly. He asks Mariano to handle something with the breeders' association while he takes care of another matter. As soon as he exits Mariano asks Natalia for some coffee. After she exits he looks at the photo of Camila with her unworthy female relations from the day of Don Daniel's homenaje and says “You are not alone; I'll be with you whenever you ask.”

Hospital Waiting Room: Viviana and Rafael talk with the doctor, who tells then that Andres is out of intensive care, but had a visit that disturbed him and had to be sedated as a result. At their enquiry he tells them it was Camila. He then excuses himself and exits. They speculate on what disturbed him. It wasn't the arrival of the Komodos and FX, which Camila wouldn't have told him, but Viviana remembers about her finding Rafael's computer in Andres' room. He's not ready to think this did it, but they won't know until Andres wakes up.

La Malquerida, Courtyard: Rodolfo tells Camila that Andres never spoke much of his past or his family to anyone. She thanks him, but it is obvious that she is not pleased.

Unknown Office in Metepec (possibly in a bank or law firm): El Diablo sits around a table with a half dozen suits who are wondering where Alonssso is. El Diablo covers his anger well, mentioning “I don't know; he knew about this meeting” then excuses himself from the table to take out his trusty cell phone. He gets him on the phone and although we do not hear Alonssso's voice we know he is making some weird excuse for his lateness. El Diablo ends the call and returns to the table, saying he is on his way but hit traffic.

La Malquerida, Study: Camila looks through some files, then makes a call to the author of Andres' reference letter.  He tells her that someone was enquiring about Andres a few days ago and that he wrote this as a favor to Padre Baldomero.

Aculco, School Headmistress' Office: Luzma is seeing her about finishing her studies and taking the finals. The other students miss her and want to help.  She is doing well in therapy and wants to study psychology so she can help others.  The headmistress speaks of the profession as a vocation.

La Buenaventura, Pablo's Bedroom: Ana is taking care of her sweet young tio, leaving the room to get some cake. Refugio passes him a note from Luzma.

La Buenaventura, Drawing Room: Padre Anselmo arrives and learns that his parents and Rocio are old friends. She asks their names and he tells her. The family tradition of lawyers and architects has been carried out by his siblings. She is pleased at his visit, commenting on what a coincidence it is that he is now leading her parish. She is not pleased at hearing that he is there to talk to her about Pablo and Luz Maria.

La Buenaventura, Pablo's Bedroom: Pablo is happy at the note, which tells him that Luzma loves him. Refugio asks whether he will continue with his plan to marry her and he tells her that he will. If his parents don't see this as gaining a daughter, they will lose a son.

La Buenaventura, Drawing Room: Padre Anselmo begins the enquiry with the supposition that Rocio forbids the marriage because she does not consider Luzma worthy of her son. He reminds her that when she married Cayetano her own family had a financial crisis. She admits to that but that they were “educated, cultured, and had class.” [Oh, that word!] He explains that Luzma is intelligent, does well in school, and wants to improve her life through that. However, all that matters to Señora Snob is that she is the daughter of a cook and the niece of a criminal and therefore has bad blood. Since the criminal uncle Leoncerdo tried to kill Pablo, she doesn't want anything to do with anyone of their family. Padre Anselmo tells her that Luzma is not at fault -- she's a victim -- and that her child is not at fault. A Christian doesn't hold such things as social class against another person or there will be consequences.

La Malquerida, Drawing Room: Cayetano arrives only to see Hissadora who tells him that neither El Diablo nor Augustina are present. She introduces herself (I thought they had already met) and invites him to sit. She grins with peso signs in her eyes upon hearing that he is the owner of La Buenaventura. He explains he is there to speak to them about Leoncerdo. “You know about him, don't you?” he asks. Hissadora mentions that he is an alcoholic. Before continuing she insists that they be on a first-name basis. After acquiescing to this [Cuidase, Señor Albarràn, for you are in the presence of evil.] Cayetano tells her that his lawyer has informed him that there was an anonymous tip that El Diablo was harboring Leoncerdo at his home. Hissadora pretends surprise at this, saying that it's not credible that he would do this in view of Leoncerdo's actions. Obviously this was brought by some enemy of El Diablo's because this information is false. She is sure that he would have the man arrested.

Office in Metepec: Alonssso is now on the spot, as he did sign the divorce papers. The accionistas now know that he has never – nor will have – authority over the property [and we continue to wonder what would give him that right at all had Camila inherited, as Mexican women have full property rights]. He tells them that Camila is not the actual owner, but tells them that he will still help them get their hands on the property. He will accomplish this by marrying Ximeana, who is the sister of the heir to the property, and will persuade his brother-in-law in the right direction. El Diablo obviously had not been informed of this plan, but doesn't lose his cool. The violins seem to like the comments made by the senior acctionista, who tells Alonssso that he had better make good on this or else. Prison will not be agreeable.  Alonssso is overconfident he will and El Diablo looks at him with his usual evil eye.

Hospital Waiting Room: Rafael tries to call Camila, who is not answering her phone. Viviana speculates that she can't hear it and both get nervous. Becerra arrives and they fill him in. He tells them about his visit to and ultimate threat against Hissadora's lawyer, who would not talk. He has no choice but to bring charges against him over the illegal POA. These charges could come back to bite Daniel on the culo. They need to go to the authorities now and sooner or later the crooked lawyer will have to confess.

Andres' Room: He is awake as the nurse comes in to check the equipment. He wants to see Camila. The nurse tells him that she is not there, but there are others waiting for her. He tells her he will see any of them. She tells him he can, but he has to promise that he won't try to get out of bed. He promises and she exits.

Hostal de Amanda, Cocina: Teresa and Aaron meet. She explains that she is looking for political asylum for Daniel, but it's complicated because she has no identity documents for him. He finally suggests that she speak to Osvaldo Becerra about getting a copy of Julian's passport that will prove that Julian was in Chile on the day that Miriam was shot.

Hospital Waiting Room: Camila arrives and is told that Andres wants to see her right away. She doesn't want to see him. After the nurse leaves her alone with Rafael and Viviana they ask her why not and she says “So he can make a fool of me?  He's a spy for Daniel, was paid to spy on me and you knew about it.”

Hostal de Amanda, Cocina: Aaron tells Teresa he is supposed to meet with El Diablo tomorrow night but doesn't know how that will go. They had tried to delay this until Daniel was out of the hospital. Ximeana arrives at the front desk where there is no one, but she can hear the conversation in the kitchen. Aaron was telling Teresa he is tired of four walls when he is used to living in a place with open doors. Teresa commiserates because she is always slaving over a hot laptop. Ximeana enters the kitchen and greets him with “Daniel; I am your sister, Ximeana.” She smiles evilly at him, showing her fangs, as Teresa observes.

Hospital Waiting Room: Camila demands an explanation for the computer, the lack of ID for Andres, and what's been going on. In classic fashion, both Viviana and Rafael try to explain that this was for her protection, that they didn't betray her, but she doesn't believe a word of this. Indeed, she doesn't give them room to answer. She is in outrage mode.

Hostal de Amanda, Cocina: Komodo wannabe Ximeana does the octopus number on Aaron, who doesn't feel a thing and tries to explain that this is the first he's heard of having a sister. When she releases him he asks her what she wants. She says that their father wanted them to meet and is surprised to hear that he doesn't want them at La Malquerida. He confirms the latter and tells her there will be consequences if they don't leave. She is not pleased to hear this. Teresa stands by the door watching and listening.

Hospital Waiting Room: Camila demands an explanation of the letter from her uncle. Rafael explains that Daniel arrived thinking that Camila was among his enemies. Then Padre Baldomero died and Daniel couldn't tell her the truth because her life was in danger. Camila demands of Viviana that she tell her who she is. “Have you no values?” about implicating a priest in a lie. Rafael explains that Padre Baldomero believed in Daniel's innocence. He was at the brink of discovering something that cost him his life. Camila looks as though she is just going through the motions of listening at this point. Finally she says she sees that they are Daniel's friends and are protecting him but she can't handle that they lied to her.

Hostal de Amanda, Cocina: Ximeana asks why Daniel doesn't want them at La Malquerida. She claims to be looking out for his interests and isn't it better that she be there when he can't be? He asks how he can trust a sister who is the mistress of her own sister's husband? “That's a low blow, little brother.” “No; it's the truth” he replies calmly. She implores him to give her a chance, but he isn't having any. He excuses himself and exits. Teresa deliberately steps in her way when she chases after him, spilling something on her dress. She “apologises”, finally releasing the bitch to pursue her non-brother. Ximeana didn't catch up with him, so she returns to ask Teresa if she knows her brother, where he works, etc. Teresa claims they are only just guests at the hostal and this was the first time she has ever seen him.

Hospital Waiting Room: Rafael explains that he and Daniel have been friends for a long time. He once saved his life. Camila accepts this but demands that Viviana explain herself. What did she know that she tried to talk her out of a relationship with Andres? And that she allowed him to use her? Viviana defends Andres, reminding her that he loves her and had risked his life for her. Camila is still not listening. She says she will not see him again. They are to tell Daniel that if he is clever enough to send someone to seduce her to influence her he will be man enough to see her face to face. She exits in a huff. Rafael restrains Viviana from following her, knowing that it would be useless for the moment. Viviana starts to cry in frustration.

La Malquerida, Study: Hissadora tells El Diablo about her meeting with Cayetano and that she had defended him. He tells her that Daniel won't meet with him until Andres is released from the hospital. In the meantime, she asks, what are you going to do about Leoncerdo? If he gets loose it is dangerous for everyone. He decides they need to turn him in. Hissadora reminds him that he could talk, which benefits nobody. He says then that if they turn him in, it not only gets the suspicion lifted, but scores points with Camila. Hissadora sees the logic in this and says “At least until we find another solution to free ourselves from all this.” He looks suspicious this time.

Andres' Room: He is now fully awake as Rafael enters in full scrubs and mask. Rafael tries to explain what happened but has the same problem getting Andres/Daniel to listen. He tries several times to get out of the hospital bed, and Rafael pulls him back, reminding him that he is sick.  They tried to fix the situation but couldn't.  Viviana tried to explain that he genuinely loves her, but she wouldn't believe her.  More panic.

La Malquerida, Study: Hissadora and El Diablo have a drink and are almost caught kissing by Gussie, who shouts his name before entering the room. They quickly pull back and Hissadora takes a sip of her drink. Gussie is coldly courteous to Hissadora, saying she needs to speak privately with her husband. Hissadora calmly puts down her drink and says she'll see when dinner is being served. After she exits Gussie demands to know why her husband was behind closed doors with her. When he says they were just having a pre-dinner cocktail, she is not satisfied. She doesn't like him being alone with her. She doesn't trust Hissadora.  He says something about there being enough problems without her inventing more. She takes a breath and tells him that she had run into a friend at the airport en route to Vegas and she had recommended the retirement plan to her friends, so she has several more signed up. This pleases him and he kisses her hands. She doesn't feel good that her friends think she had gone to Vegas for official certification [Why would that happen in a foreign country? She is truly a moron.] and he dismisses her concern. She still wants the license and he tells her he'll find a way. He then suggests they go to dinner. She then brings up that she's concerned she doesn't please him because they haven't done the horizontal tango in a long time. He dismisses this by saying “With everything that's going on you think I feel like it?” and exits to the dining room.

Near-full moon

River: Camila takes a walk, thinking back to her encounters with Andres to a new song.  Meanwhile in his hospital room Andres worries that he is losing her. Split screen shot of their close-ups.

Avances

Daniel leaves the hospital unofficially and outs himself to Camila.

Comments:
This episode is all recitative with no real arias, duets, or good trios. We are moving faster, though.

Great job Urban! Camila was really on the war path tonight. Poor Vivi and Rafa. She had them in a puddle of tears by the time she was done with them. Can't wait till tomorrow for how she reacts when Daniel reveals the whole truth to her. It won't be pretty, I'm sure.

Ximena got a rude awakening realizing that her "brother" was neither pleased to see her, nor does he want her and her posse on the ranch.

Loved Padre Anselmo telling Rocio like it is. She's the worst kind of snob seeing as she was broke when she married rich Cayeto (and she sure as hell doesn't have class like she thinks). But I don't think she'll listen to the Padre.

This is the second time we've heard that Padre's rich family shunned him because he turned his back on riches and a fancy career to be a priest instead. I wonder if other members of his family will show up? We certainly know who Rocio would prefer for Mariano though-- rich, lawyer, from a good family Teresa is looking like a way better option than Camila Monterde I bet.

Isadora never met Cayetano because she didn't (offically) attend the homenaje for Don Daniel. Dionisio, however, was there.

Thanks UA, I really enjoyed this episode and the recap was icing on the cake.

With so many episodes to go, I was dreading the day when the lovers broke up because that's when the fillers tend to drag and become boring. However, based on tonights episode, I think Cami and the A team are going to give us our money's worth and more for a long time to come.

I felt bad for Vivi and Rafa when Cami confronted them. However, I feel even worse for Cami. In her eyes, her whole world just collasped in lies and deciet. For her sanity, I hope that she and Vivi will mend their relationship very soon. They need each other's support during this crisis.

The advances look exciting. I can hardly wait to see Cami's reaction to Dan's revelation even though I know it's too soon for forgiveness.

Hmm, so Miss Rocio was a broke bama before she married Cayetano, much like Iliana is a broke bama trying to marry Pablo. That's why they got on so well.

Camila's list of betrayal (from Camila's point of view):

Alonso (husband), defrauded her out of money, tried to rape her, shacking up with her sister.

Gussie (mom): threatening to choose her new husband over her child

Ximena (sister) stole money from her, slept with her husband

Andres (lover) "spy for Daniel"

Daniel ("cousin"), "hired Andres to sleep with her"

Natalia (employee), got Andres the Spy a job at the ranch

Viviana (BFF), knew Andres "was a spy hired by Daniel to sleep with her"

Rafael (friend), knew Andres was a spy hired by Daniel to sleep with her, was hired by Daniel to sleep with her but that didn't work so Daniel hired Andres instead

Padre Baldemero, (spiritual advisor), was forced by Daniel to vouch for Andres so he could spy on her and sleep with her

This "Daniel Diaz Acosta" is THE MAN...he's lurking around town, everywhere you want to be, sending spies to sleep with people, outsmarting the Komodo Gang at every turn, giving assassins the slip... "Daniel Diaz Acosta" has everybody worked up and spinning out of control...this dude is THE MAN!

If Camila doesn't want him I certainly will step right up to take him!

Stupid Ximena has the answer on her thigh..........will she remember the conversation she had with Andres the chofer when she noticed his strange birthmark & compared it to the strange birthmark she and her father have?

Thanks for the recap Urban!

Loved this line in your recap: "the photo of Camila with her unworthy female relations ... "

Agreeing that poor Agustina is acting moronic about said "training" certificate. She is too trusting. She needs a computer so that she can look things up on the web. Not that everything is legit, but she needs just do something smarter than what she is doing now. BTW, Dio sure did answer her when she said that they hadn't "done it" in a while. He just basically said "Bah" and shouted for his dinner. Poor woman.

Yes, Vivi in DC ... good points about Padre Anselmo. I agree that we may learn more, especially since he has mentioned his brothers. Hopefully they are good guys and not mixed into the tourist scheme ... lawyer and architect? Hmmmmm!

Btw, Senor Albarran looked like he kinda liked Isadora. She was a bit flirtatious, and he seemed like he could fall for it.

So many tears in this episode! Everybody was seriously crying. Camila, Vivi, Rafa, and Dan/Andres. Our good people were so sad today. They are very emotional beings. So was Rafa hurt because Camila was hurt, or because Vivi was hurt that Camila was hurt. Probably both.

Now Aaron/Daniel ... I too love the way he is so "peaceful" and then goes into warpath mode as Daniel.

LOL Anon207 with calling Rocio a "broke bama" (LOL!!!!!) and then saying that "Daniel Diaz Acosta is THE MAN." Yeah, he is! LOL!!

Thanks, UA. A thorough recap with some great lines, including the aside about the dawn after the darkness not being any time soon! That's okay, if the action moves along as it has so far.

The scenes between Vivi and Camila in particular were so hard to watch. What a mess -- not of their own making.

Ximena is a second-generation Agustina. Neither thinks before talking or, in Ximena's case, acting. Both are getting in deeper and deeper, with jail a possible outcome for the fraud-committing Agustina and worse for Ximena. I did love Ximena's surprise that Aaron wasn't just delighted to meet her and in fact wants them out of the hacienda.

There is a huge difference between Augustina and Ximeana: Augustina gets defensive and is sometimes capable of snobbery, but she is not truly mean-spirited. Ximeana is (hence the nick I gave her). You have to be that to say "Soy mas mujer que tu" to your own sister.

Ximeana is a true sociopath, just like the Komodos and El Diablo.

Money and status rule everything in this tale's world.

Two men have rejected that outright: Aaron and Padre Anselmo (who is the black sheep of his family).

Two women went from rags to riches through marriage: Rocio and Hissadora.

Two other women are looking to do the same: Ximeana and Ileana.

Two men unconscionably use women to achieve money and status: El Diablo and Alonssso.

Three women have been horribly abused by men: Viviana, Luzma, and Piedad.

Three men are looking to protect their women: Daniel, Pablo, and Rafael.

Three women are adequately self-sufficient to mostly not have to worry about this stuff: Camila, Viviana, and Teresa.

Thanks for the recap UA.

Anon207 - loved your list

Netgirl - ITA about Aaron/Daniel. In real life he is similar to a kindly Peace Corps volunteer but can play a ruthless dueno when needed - it's great!

I hope Cam believe Andres is Dan though I know forgiveness is not in the cards right now - TN law.

Anon207- I also love your list. Exactly all the reasons why Cami is so hurt and mad right now. When she told Vivi that she saw her as more than a friend, but as a sister, and knowing what her real sister has done to her, I could really feel her pain. We all know how hard Vivi fought with Dan and Rafa in the beginning, insisting that they tell Cami the truth. Then they sucked her into the increasingly complex plan.

I love D'Aaron!

It will be interesting to compare the revelation scene last night in Eva to the revelation scene tonight in Amor Bravio. Both heroines are hurt and hopping mad because of the deception of the galan, but Helena in Eva didn't also have everyone she loves and trusts in on the deception too. That's a big part of why Cami feels so betrayed and so alone.

Thanks, UA, for yet another quick and helpful recap. Loved "Señora Snob" and your asides, especially the one about women in Mexico having full property rights. That's a really interesting point, especially in light of Alonso's intent to marry Ximena. And even though he might think he'd be entitled to what he thinks she'll have, I would have thought that Hissadora would have been more savvy. Though of course Hissadora probably plans to deal with these minor legal technicalities by eventually killing off Ximena. Indeed, I wondered last night whether that was the "solution" she was proposing for Camila as well.

Anon207, good point about the birthmark that Ximena and Daniel share. Surely that will come into play, and perhaps it will be Ximena who realizes its significance, since she's very alert to anything she thinks will $erve her purpo$e.

Netgirl, I enjoyed your suggestion that Gullible Gussy needs a computer, but I'm afraid I disagree. She's exactly the kind of nitwit who will fall for every Internet scam. However, I do agree with you that Cayetano seemed somewhat taken with Hissadora. And so the plot thickens.

Traveling Lady, yes, I too was delighted with the scene between D'Aaron and Ximena. Actually, I was at first a bit nervous, fearing that she'd overhear him say some revealing things to Teresa, but apparently by the time Ximena was able to hear, he and Teresa were saying nothing of significance to Ximena.

I can't wait for The Revelation, which the avances suggest will occur tonight. Will Camila believe him? I'm not sure. Will she forgive him? Probably not until hell almost freezes over (i.e., a few episodes before the end of the TN). Though, of course, the writers have been ignoring many TN conventions--perhaps they'll find a new twist here as well. ¡Ojalá!

Great list Anon 207.

Looks like tonight is the night for Andres to reveal his true identity to Cami. I'm a bit nervous about that because I got a little lost when Cami was trying to sort out the kinship. I wasn't sure that she was clear that Daniel is NOT her cousin and that he is NOT her uncle's biological son.

She is not clear on that. There was no opportunity for Tio Daniel to find that out.

Andres/Daniel has the actual test results, which are negative. He is the son of Francisco Javier so he is the half-brother of Ximeana.

This is making me want to do a spreadsheet in an attempt to figure out which novela's characters have the most convoluted family trees.

Yeah, by the end of this tn, Ximena will likely be Dan's sister AND his sister-in-law. Way more of a relationship with her than he wants.

If Hissadora doesn't do her in along the way.

And Hissadora had every intention of murdering Camila. Remember the forged will (which nobody who needs to know knows about yet) and the alleged sick bull.

Urban- Very true. By getting herself mixed up with Isa, Xi may have signed her own death warrant.

Camila's not going to "get it" unless the following happens:

*Mariano joins the Justice League

*Someone around Camila gets hurt/killed

Of the people who deceived her I think only Osvaldo will be able to get through to her. He's been telling her all along that Dionisio is dangerous, he's the one who gave her Don Daniel's letter to read, explaining that Alonso & Dionisio are dangerous, and he's the one who told her that Dionisio had previously tried to get his hands on Malquerida.

Camila needs to know:

*Alonso only married her to get his hands on La Mal.

*Padre Baldemero's accident was no accident

*Dan's PREGNANT wife Miriam was shot & killed(?) b/c Dionisio's hit man was trying to kill Daniel so the inheritance would pass to Camila so Alonso & Dionisio could take La Mal away from her.

*Bruno, Viviana's evil ex, is a hacker working for Dionisio

*The bull accident was an assassination attempt on Camila's life because as her widower, Alonso would inherit La Mal.

Camila "knows" about the danger but she's not taking it seriously b/c she doesn't have the information. Even though Osvaldo is in on the deception, he might be the only one that can make her see why everyone did why they did.

Also, he is the only one who can remind Camila that she too is deceiving people, namely Augustina. Camila knows Dionisio is fake, a con artist & not even his real name, yet she hasn't told Augustina. Why, since she's so concerned about deception?

The only problem is that Osvaldo doesn't yet know about the forged will. He is unlikely to know about that until he goes to notarize the one she will sign and then will find out that it would revise and supercede any pre-existing one. That makes for another charge against the corrupt attorney which might make him reveal that it was Hissadora who forged Camila's signature.

Camila isn't telling Augustina what she knows about El Diablo because Augustina will not believe her. That information has to come from Osvaldo and Amanda, along with actual physical evidence and even with that it's a long shot that Augustina will believe it.

RG: Re: your comment yesterday. I'll have to keep an eye on that channel. I'm pretty new to TN's (MEPS was my first) and would love to see some of the older ones.

Behind on AB. Have seen a little of Thursday's ep and half of Friday's, none of Monday's. Hoping to catch up within a couple of days. Going to read the recap/commnets though--see what I have to look forward to--or not.

Nanette

Anon207, I agree with everything you've said about Osvaldo (indeed, almost everything you've said, period!). But I continue to be VERY nervous about the state of Osvaldo's health and well-being. I've been seeing an anvil poised over his head for weeks, now. I hope I'm wrong (again).

The Justice League won't have Mariano until he gets rid of that parted in the middle/quasi Farrah Fawcett 'do.

Vivi: Re: the Padre’s family. Do you remember how we were all waiting to meet Carlos’ brothers since they were mentioned quite a few times and never showed up? I wonder if that will happen this time. Probably not, since this TN is breaking a lot of TN rules, according to all you vets.

UA: Loved your “men”, “women” list.

Juanita: I hope you’re wrong about Os, too.

Flaco wants me to practice Spanish by learning a song. He’s picked Mil Vidas, which the actor that plays Vivi has sung before. When I looked up the lyrics, I found them linked as an AB song, with pics of Cam and Dan. Could this be their new song? I thought that their song might change when she found out about him. In CME, it seemed like all the main couples had two love songs, one for when they were happy and one for when they were sad. Don’t know what the lyrics of Mil Vidas mean—yet, so not sure if it qualifies as a sad love song.

UA - Muchas gracias, terrific recap of all the maneuverings.

Seeing Camila not trust Vivi hurts. Vivi as her best friend had more responsibility to tell her the truth than the others, at least in Camila's view. And I think in Vivi's view too, cause that's why Vivi gave Daniel that hard slap when she found out he slept with Camila. I'm actually feeling worse for Vivi than for Daniel.

I too loved when Aaron told Ximeana there was no reason for him to fake familial feelings for her and that she should get her butt off the ranch.

Nanette- Anselmo's siblings may be a red herring. We have already met one of his siblings, Teresa, who is now playing a major role. That might be all we get. I just found it interesting that he has this whole back story of a successful, wealthy family, that we now find out has ties to the Albarans.

Niecie- I also feel worse for Vivi than for Daniel. He started this whole mess, and he twisted Vivi's arm into going along, against her better judgement.

Vivi: totally forgot Teresa is the Padre's sister.

I am in the Behind on AB crowd, but I wanted to make 2 quick comments.

Sorry if this has already been pointed out: Snobby Dio keeps calling Piedad by the wrong name. I've heard him call her "Caridad" and holler "Pilar".

Eating dinner on vacay, listening to some beautiful music I swear I heard that song that was played whenever we had the kids' flashback in A de P. Could it be? Does anyone recall what song that was and was it made for that TN?

Nanette, Mil vidas (not a love song by far) -- thousand lives -- is more of a Dan's song -- will be featured later on at a very crucial moment--It was originally sung by Carlos Macias who also sings Divina tu (their original love songs) Tu mirar (what's going on with them now). Tu Perfume was sung a couple of times for Mariano but changed it to more a Camila's song because Dan is featured a few times with this song also. Mil Vidas (featered Vivi but not on first release) and there'll be one more (Olvidarte Jamas).

Other songs that apply to our lovebirds that are sung by other group:

Tan Solo Pido -- Camila & Luis, more Camila

El Hombre mas hermoso-Ale Rojas --Dan (it was 1st featured when Dan was unconcious in the hospital-- some people here didn't favor it too much; but personally I love it -- the lyrics are great

Jamas Abandone (Daniel & Myriam) & Te Digo Adios (Daniel) - Laura Pausini

Myo-

I didn't like the annoying female singer of that song; I'd like to hear it by someone whose voice I can deal with (which means not Laura Pausini, who is too screamy for me).

Thanks UA, I don't have time to watch today, so many thanks for the recap.

I admit that when the padre was talking to Rocio, I had the thought that maybe his siblings are part of the Dion team. I hope not.

I don't understand why the people who wrote the reference for the Padre are now confessing that they only did it because the padre asked for it. They knew when they wrote it that it was a lie, why aren't they continuing with the lie? When you write a letter of reference, you expect to be called by the employer to verify it. Sheesh.

Also, per TN law, if Rocio cheated on Cayetano, then he must cheat on her in order for them to stay together. So I see a romance between Isa and him.

And there is the biggest anvil hanging over Osvaldo that I ever did see.

I thought D'Aaron told Teresa he was meeting Dionisio tomorrow, but then later Dionisio told Isadora that he wasn't going to meet Daniel until Andres got out of the hospital. Of course, I must have misunderstood one or both of these conversations! Anyone know?

I'm nervous about Andres having his conversation with Camila. I don't want them to be at odds, especially until close to the end of the TN. Hope the writers surprise us again. Thank you recappers! Linda K

I've liked all the songs they've picked so far for all the couples/wanabe couples. The "Hombre Mas Hermoso" song starts out really nice, but does get a bit screechy by the middle. I agree that it's the singer, not the song. The song is beautiful. When this tn comes closer to the end, I'll look up the YouTube song compilation videos that are sure to be out there, just like with CME.

Linda K- Dionisio lied to Isadora. Shocking, yes I know. :) These two are always looking for ways to betray each other and always have their own side plan going.

Myo: thanks for the info on Mil Vidas and the other TN songs. I did know that CM had originally sung MV, but I’ve only heard a little of the Fernanda (Vivi) version and a little of the CM/Fer duet on stage. I like Laura Pausini a lot and saw in the end credits that she had song(s) in this TN, but didn’t know which one(s).

Cathyx: “Also, per TN law, if Rocio cheated on Cayetano, then he must cheat on her in order for them to stay together. So I see a romance between Isa and him.” That should be interesting. Wouldn’t it be something if Isa actually fell in love with him (though I know that’s not likely given she’s the spawn of Evil).

Except for Cami and D'Adres theme song, I didn't realize that each couple (and couple wanabe) had their own songs. Very interesting. Is that just this novela or does it happen a lot? I usually just pay attention to/hear the theme song.

Cathyx, I agree with you. Why are the folks who wrote the references for Andres admitting that not only that they were not true but also incriminating a deceased priest who can't defend himself.

Not knowing that D'Andres is about to reveal himself, Aaron is still posing as Daniel. The plot should become very interesting with 2 Daniels on the loose:-) I think D'Aaron's role will be more to keep the bad guys at bay. But of course a lot will depend on how Cami handles the news.

Foxy: in every TN I've seen, so far, there have been one or two theme songs for each of the couples.

Very Interesting response Nanette, thanks. I'll have to be more observant. Although I shouldn't be surprosed because movie sound track music often escapes me the same way :-)

Foxy- In additoion to what Nanette said, this team of producer/writer usually goes above and beyond with the theme songs and give every couple not just a love song, but a sad song too. For the main couple, they also tend to give them distict love and sad/break-up songs during distinct periods during their relationship. There will of course be the main theme song throughout the entire show (the opening credits song), but don't be surprised if Divina Tu is heard less and another love sone takes over. Plus, with this break-up period, we'll hear the break-up/sad song a lot.

And as Renata pointed out, there are sad/love songs that are specific to the heroine or specific to the galan. You don't get this in all tns.

Sorry for all the typos. :)

Thanks Vivi, as always you are a welcome wealth of info.

Vivi: Am I correct in remembering that CME had two songs per couple--or at least for the main couple?

Nanette- Each couple in CME had two songs. The main couple had 4+ songs.

Here's a compilation of snippets of most of the CME love songs and you can see which couples/wannabe couples are associated with them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOxPCFL8_x8

UA-Muchisimas gracias for the recap. I didn't enjoy the episode, but I enjoyed your take on it. Now, I'm plowing through the comments.

Anon207 - Another brilliant list. Worthy of memorializing on our Playbill. It's getting longer and longer.

And this was the song for the teen couple in CME. I really like it. Not sure why the person who created the compilation didn't include it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDwUwqIt-Y0

They also forgot Mariposa Traicionera (Mana) in that compilation-- villainess Roberta's song when she was seducing that old married dude and other men. Great song and perfect for an evil seductress: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av3wkasS-WQ

UA--Go to the AB feed and use Amor Bravio Extra - Operation Shine the Light, the Playbill for drawing your family tree. I wonder if there will be more characters added at this point. We've suffered through a lot of those last minute show-ups (like Dr. Tatas in CME) to complicate our lives. Have at it!!!

You, too Foxy. Think of it as a refresher course.

Nanette--One last comment. Issa would probably find Cayetano too much of a straight-laced fuddy-duddy. She gets her kicks from Dionisss. Her main reason for getting interested in Cayetano would be as owner of the Buenaventura.

Oh, and about Hissy coming from wealth. She was "sold" by her parents to the old guy Lazcano. When he died, she would have inherited. But I seem to recall that she and Alonsssso went through that inheritance pretty fast (even though old guy was probably pretty wealthy).

Anyway, the taste for money and more money and even more money is evident and planted early on.

Thanks UA for the recap. It is especially appreciated after an extra long weekend for a late night episode.

RE: the Ximena / fake Daniel interaction - that was an amusing "you-had-that-coming" moment. Ximena is not much more than a self centered twit. AlLocoLonso is the same - a twit 2. IMO the bigger title of sociopath goes to Isa who we can see has noooooo empathy. The other two are small potatoes in this sopa .

RE: Camila and her betrayal - I hope TN law can be broken so that Camila will get over her distress sooner rather than several weeks later. If she just reconsidered the letter and the character of the people who say they were protecting her, we could fast fffwd. Oh well TN law will likely prevail anyhow.

That big reveal better happen tomorrow. We have been anticipating this moment practically from the beginning. I don't think I can wait any longer. (Can you tell I'm excited?)

One error I made about Hissy's source of wealth. I think I remember now that when the will was read, he only had debts. So, yes, up until Lazcano died, she would have been enjoying the easy life. After that, it was hardscrabble for her and the nino.

UA: thanks for the fabulous play by play, especially since there were so many scene changes to get straight!
====================
Loved the way Ximeana hit a brick wall with D'Aaron when she tried ingratiating herself into "Daniel's" life and his long-lost and oh-so-loving kid sis. Teresa did a good job of lying to her afterwards when Xi tried pumping her for information about him.
============
Can't wait for the Big Reveal tonight and ITA with Mena that it would be better if Camila actually listens to everything Dan tells her--and he darned well better tell her everything from the beginning. It would break TN rules. Also she can't fire him exactly without making Dio and his posse suspicious.....lots of possibilities I can think of for twists and turns here.....

Not to mention that he is risking his recovery -- and possibly his life -- leaving the hospital before he's supposed to. She has to appreciate that.
