Amorcito Corazón Discussion #149-153 Nov. 12-16

Well gang last’s week trend – baddies out of control – seems to be continuing.  rIcky snatches Jaibo’s baby.

Doris and Pancho finally kiss and congress, yeah.  But she gets a call from Jaibo letting her know he has the child.  She goes into a meltdown about el nino is her baby, boo.
Lucia gets notified about the kidnaping and calls Beba, who calls Gabino.  After inquiring at the hospital, the trio heads to casa hogar.  By tomorrow they should be at Willy’s house to determine where rIcky is.

Maniac Manny accuses Isa of calling the police on her.  Unfortunately our spineless pseudo galan supports his wife initially but by the end of the episode slips to the hospital.  Funny part - Isa and Jorrible speculate on MM’s crazy with Jorrible commenting on bad people do try to harm others; yes, Jorrible takes on to know one.

Leopold returns! And is going to be there for Sarita and Isa.  Not surprisingly, when he sees Fer at the hospital he tells him to get lost.

As always, let me know what I missed.

Thanks for starting us off Karen. Fab recap! I haven't had a chance to watch yet, but am sad that the bad guys keep scoring points.

I am glad to hear that Leo is back. Hopefully, he and Sarita can rekindle their love. He learned a hard lesson with Gim-me. However, this should make him more sympathetic to Fer, as he also tossed a good woman aside for an evil bitch.

Yes Vivi, Leo did admit to Fer he wasn't one to judge (its quite an intriguing parallel w/Wiggy and Manny - two evil women w/bad wigs) but that Fer being married was bad news for his daughter. Fer, like poor Rod on Refugio, constantly ignores the HUGE barrier that marriage places between him and the woman he loves.

Thanks, Karen!

Well, it's about time, but Doris and Poncho sure went from zero to autobahn in about 7.8 seconds. "I want to be with you." "Really?!" "Totally." And they hit the Aerobed. Although actually I'm not sure how she held out so long...Poncho is adorable!

Fer, with the understatement of the century... "I know I've done one stupid thing after another..." Fer, at least now you know one thing. And yeah, he's a total numbskull. "I'd do anything to get Isa back." So why haven't you filed for divorce, idiot? Why do you still placate the harpy shrew and take her side?

Too bad Mayela had to have that baby in an underfunded clinic that can't afford to Lojack the babies. At least Doris, Poncho, and the casa hogar gang are all on their way. With any luck, Doris's farce will come to an end.

Karen, thanks for the update.

This was one episode I had to watch with the sound off. I just couldn't take all the baby crying!

Julia, you are right, Poncho is soo cute, why did it take thick-headed Doris so long?

The ARP rekindled romance was sweet.

Jaibo is a much nicer guy on drugs. He sleeps most of the time and is out of circulation to cause mayhem.

With Gabino on the case, I wonder what else he will find in his investigation. I hope this is beginning of Jorrible's take down as well as Ricky's. The two mothers will be devastated but probably not surprised.

Rosemary Primera

Thanks Karen!

Great scene with Leo stopping Fer from seeing Isa in the hospital. I loved the deer in the headlights look on Fer's face when Leo explained to Fer "but you chose Manuela". What about that does Fer just not understand?

Thanks for getting this up, Karen.

Finally, Doris! Now shy don't you just confess about the baby lie. Fer & the girls love you -- they'll be shocked but they'll come around and forgive.

Glad to see Leo back -- and good for him to pull Fer up short by reminding him "you chose Manuela."

Go Gabino! Track down that baby -- and those drug dealers -- and maybe link Ricky to Jorrible???

Güera

Julia - yes Poncho is adorable and hopefully Doris's baby farce will end (though I'm concerned it may be dragged out longer).

RP - LOL, "Jaibo is much nicer on drugs."

Audrey - ITA, Fer is going to have to go through many hoops if he thinks he can get Leo and Sartia back on his team.

Güera - I hope you had a nice weekend. I'm pulling for Gabino too. I hope EWM, Jorrible, or rIcky don't harm him.

It was funny when Poncho ran off to use mouthwash and then dashed back for another round of kissing and then some. If only he'd learn some table manners...

Here's the scoop for Martes

Gabino and the ladies get rIcky's address from Lala, who is again given news about one of her very bad spawn. When the crew finally arrives at rIcky's, Jaibo, Doris, Poncho, and the baby escape through the window (though when you see the window there is no way they could have done that).

Marisol observes EWM in true loca mode and goes to bed very concerned. Later Fer finally comes home and we have part two of this melt down.

It looks like EWM will be directing her anger toward the girls next. Yikes!

When Beba and Lucia go to the police station, Gabino asks them about Manny. I hope b/c he's Beba's true love he lives because there are a lot of baddies who are not happy with him.

It seems Doris gave Jaibo her car for the baby; please let me know if that is right. She, Poncho, and the baby make a very cute family. It's not clear when she is going to come clean with Fer and the Maris.

It does seem as if Manny's complete ignorance about construction is slowly being revealed. We just hope Fer realizes she is responsible for these building failures.

Thanks Karen. I thought the same thing about that way too small window.

I don't remember why everyone is already on Jaibo's trail in their search for the baby. Is it just because he's the logical suspect or was there some hint?

Manuela is really starting to lose it. I'm glad that Marisol and then Fer got to see that. But I hate that she is probably going to do something to the Maris -- at least Marisol.

Poncho & Doris & the baby do make a cute little family. But then strangely enough Ricky & Jaibo were pretty cute with the baby too -- especially Ricky. Is it possible that he'll develop some feelings for his own son????

So Fer has discovered that the substandard materials debacle happened while Manuela was in charge? Will she actually get caught -- or will she find a way to blame Isa again? Manuela was going through the paper work trying to eliminate a paper trail -- or was she changing the evidence?

Güera

Thanks Karen! Yes, the payment for the baby was the car, and lucky for all, the title was in the glove compartment. Poncho scolded Doris over that - a bad practice in general, but handy in this case.

There is no way they all got out of that tiny bathroom window so fast, but it was funny!!

My beanie cap has slipped here, but Fernando will think he's the baby daddy, and how will Doris handle that claim? Well, I guess she wants the connection. She's kind of missing a birth certificate, no? I guess as long as idiot Fer doesn't need to see it, no problem. Well, except for Manny who will cause all sorts of problems....

Güera - The fact that Mayela keep returning to Jaibo despite his abuse and being the baby's father seem to be what has everyone pointing to him.

Though Jaibo and rIcky were cute with the baby, I couldn't the scenes because of who they are/what they do.

Not completely sure but I do think EWM is trying to destroy the paper trail.

Thanks Audrey. So hopefully Doris and Poncho won't have to encounter the terrible twosome any more.

I keep hoping that Doris is going to come clean because Mayela's baby is still missing. So by TN law, this info will have to come to the surface.

I think Doris and Poncho are still vulnerable to a lifetime of blackmail from the terrible twosome.

In fact, they could lay the baby-napping charge directly against them if they wanted since they are in possession of the baby.

Awww, Doris and Poncho and the baby were so cute and happy together, I'm almost sad that this lie will have to be outed. It's not often in a telenovela that you root for the loca babysnatcher. At least the baby isn't with Jaibo and rIcky anymore. They were feeding it cow milk!

Idrogo requested the security tapes from the clinic. I'm not sure why it takes so long to get them, but he hasn't seen them yet.

I love the Marias and their behavior toward Manwitch.

In the previews it does look like Fer figures out Manuela is responsible for the construction failure. She was destroying receipts, but there may well be more evidence she isn't even aware of. Paperwork kept at the construction site office, not at the main office, for example, or electronic documents.

You are right Audrey. Those bad guys could successfully put all the blame on Doris and Poncho. This is an unfortunate anvil that must fall sooner or later.

Julia - thanks for the info about the documentation. Since EWM has been out of it (and the office) she doesn't know all that Fer is seeing or hearing in his meetings. But with his track record, he won't realize its EWM until she starts harming his girls. I hope it doesn't come to that as it seems that really did kill her sister.

Karen, thanks for the recaps. I haven't watched Tuesday yet but I quite enjoyed Monday. The scenes with Ricky and Jaibo were pretty funny, vaguely reminiscent of an infant version of Ransom of Red Chief, but I'm glad the baby is in better hands.

Thank goodness Gabino is back in the picture but I hope he watches his back.

Forgot to say I absolutely loved Doris and Poncho finally getting together!

Side note: I've noticed they call our unfavorite thug "el Jaibo" so I finally looked it up. "Jaibo" means a native of Tampico. I wonder if his being from elsewhere is at all relevant, or just a random detail.

I've been wondering, because "la jaiba" means the crab. We have a good Mexican seafood place nearby with that name.

According the the interwebs, apparently in some places jaibo as an adjective can also mean either foolish or sharp in business. El Jaibo is at least one of those...

There was also a main character in the film Los Olvidados named El Jaibo, and he was super thuggy; maybe our character's name is a reference to that?

Sylvia - I knew you would be happy to see Gabino as well as Doris and Poncho finally together. Now let's hope the writers allow all three to make it to the end. I'm more concerned about Gabino though EWM may try to harm Doris; she's a loss cannon.

Julia - thanks for the info on Jaibo. I so enjoy what everyone here bring to the party, even when the TN is no party.

Audrey - another new word for me, thanks!

Hola amigas, overall this episode wasn't horrible but the forecast is very grim.

Horny tries to get Beba to loan her some money b/c of this construction nightmare. Beba refuses but Jorrible steps in. I think he's looking for a problem company to launder his money.

Knuckles and Barf continue their complete manipulation of Juancho and Marisol. Knuckles seems to be sliming his way back into being her novio. Though Barf claims she doesn't want to marry someone who doesn't love her, right.

The interesting event of the day was Adelita hanging up her habit and it wasn't for Willy. I hope this clears the way for Moncho. As many have noted, this TN has been very stingy with having couples in love actually together and the writers better give us something (read Moncho and Adelita) muy pronto!

Oh and Fer actually realized Manny is lying but she threw a tantrum and ran out of the office. Unfortunately the episode ends with her attempting to kill one of the workers in the hospital. I am not hopeful that he will make it.

Lucia turns Willy down again supposedly for the last time. Forgive me friends for being a bit grumpy but he needs to move on; she's too much drama and slap happy.

A package for rIcky arrives while Barf and Lala are home. Willy tells his poor mother its drugs, shows her the drugs and then flushes them down the toilet. The previews have Willy confronting rIcky about the drugs and his demon brother running him down in a car.

Again I say throw us a bone of happiness writers - Gabino and Beba becoming novios; Moncho & Adelita's romance; Barf & Knuckles scheme starting to unravel.

Oh, wow! Now I'll be sure to watch this epi before today's airs. Thanks for the recap Karen!

Yep, Manny's strategy when caught in a straight lie - deny, deny, deny and then upbraid her accuser for not believe her instead of others! But she seems to get away with it! And Fer's reaction when faced with a hissy-fit is to act bewildered or duck for cover anyway - what a wimp!

Loved having Beba tell Horny - no way José. Wow - Horny really doesn't get why Beba won't help? I guess like most of our baddies she doesn't think her bad behavior should have any repercussions.

It was great having Willy catch Barb's "package".

Hmmm - things aren't looking to good for the comatose engineer!

Karen,

Thanks for the update!

What happened to all of Horny money? Good of Bebe not to give her any money? I wouldn't that conniving witch a single centavo myself.

Where is Jorrible going to come up with some money? I guess he has been able to sock away his ill gotten gain since he lives with his mother. I wonder if Bebe is going be devastated when finds out what a low life her only child is. I hope Gabino will be there to pick up the pieces.

I hope the drug lords come after Barf, she is so evil.

Poor Willy, yes, he does need to move on.

Adelita looked terrific! I wonder where she is going?

Fer needs a brain!

Rosemary Primera

Audrey yes her strategy is deny and if things keep not going in your direction kill the person causing you trouble. What does this say about her obsession with Fer? Did Horny know Manny is/was that crazy? How deep is Horny's cover up of the death of her daughter b/c her other daughter killed her?

ITA it was great seeing Beba tell Horny no.

As for Fer, Julia and others have mentioned how he shows no competence to be a leader of a company. Manny's acting like a spoiled child but there are ways to deal with her behavior but he just looks bewildered.

RP - good questions. I think Horny found out from her money guy that this construction situation will bankrupt her but knowing Horny she has the money but wanted to borrow money that she would never give back.

And yes Barf needs a really good comeuppance. She has not truly suffered any consequences for all the hurt she has caused and she's a Manny in the making. I wouldn't put murder past her if it meant she could be rich.

Jorrible isn't investing in the company himself. Smith, the guy who is upset about the death of the collector Jorrible had killed, who has sworn revenge when he finds out who is responsible, is looking for a company in trouble to launder some money. He asked Jorrible for help finding one.

Manuela behaves like a bratty toddler. Her reaction to trouble is to clutch Fer and scream "no no no no no!" Can't Fer get an annulment on the grounds that she is not an adult and therefore the marriage can't be valid?

Totally disappointed that Marisol is giving Knuckles attention again. Even if the Juancho thing is down the tubes, why go back to that troll? Surely her other friends could keep her company, or she could find herself a new guy. I hate this telenovela trope of people going back to someone they already know they don't like when things don't work out with the one they want.

Lucía is being insufferable. If the reason she won't get back together with Willy is because of the deal she thinks she made with God when Juanita was on the verge of death, she could at least tell Willy that rather than jerking him around and confusing him and being rude all the time. Personally, I don't understand these kinds of "bargains". Why would God want some people to be miserable in exchange for saving someone else?

I think Horny is out of liquid assets maybe. When she was talking to the guy, it sounded like she had some sort of other account, but there would be penalties if she withdrew the money early. Maybe some bonds or a retirement account?

Whatever; if she has to sell her house and live under a bridge, I won't feel bad for her at all. What unbelievable gall, asking Beba for money after how awful she's been to her. It's not like she is really down to nothing and desperate. She still has a lot of assets. She just doesn't want to give up anything. I wouldn't give her a centavo either, plus I would bill her for taking up my time.

Julia,

You are tougher than I am, I never would have thought to bill her for my time - but I like it.

RP

Julia thanks for the correction. I forgot about Smith but I knew Jorrible's scheme involved the laundering of money.

And ITA on the inability of supposedly sane people being in a relationship just because the girl/guy is there. I dislike that the option of being alone to heal and recover for relational break-up/trauma is never an option.

Lucia & God - unfortunately I think its a warped view of God that causes people to believe they need to make deals with Him that often seem noble but are not.

I just can't believe how many times this TN replays the SAME plot device with the SAME people. Example - how many times has Lucía been super upset because she saw Adelita and Willy in an affectionate moment?

Did Horny know Manny is/was that crazy? How deep is Horny's cover up of the death of her daughter b/c her other daughter killed her?

I think Horny senses something was fishy, but chooses to ignore it, and to defend Manny when Idrogo comes snooping around. However, she did send her daughter to be "internado" - locked up in some clinic - in Europe after Sophia's death, so she is well aware of some serious level of insanity. Why she doesn't fear for herself? - well only an arrogant woman unwilling to face or let the world know her daughter's dirty secrets would take those kinds of chances.

Audrey - ITA w/you about the same people and plot. Though TNs have a lot of repetition, when the writers keep a couple apart w/the same reasons it does try your nerves.

Great observation about Horny. She is arrogant enough to take the risk of her crazy daughter trying to kill her. The resolution of this plot could be interesting but I hope both Horny and Manny go to jail.

Well friends the previews come to fruition and rIcky runs down his brother after Willy confronts and beats him about the drugs. Poor Adelita watches the whole thing and accompanies him to the hospital in the ambulance.

EWM kills off the constructor and Fer has to deal with his family accusing him of dirty dealings. Fer, continuing to lack reason, does realize EWM is responsible for the fraud (not the murder) but can't renounce her b/c they are married.

Barf, showing more similarities to Manny(deny, deny, deny, then run away), gets mad at her mother for asking her if Barf knew rIcky was sending her drugs.

Audrey, the writers did it again. Adelita is at Willy's bedside when Lucia arrives. Naturally she sees the two being tender with one another and leaves before she hears Willy reject her. At least she blames herself for this turn of events.

Mr. C accompanies Zoe to yoga b/c F5 is being a he-ho. As part of the exercises he has to talk to the baby and both he and Zoe get emotional.

Jorrible talks Horny's money man into giving him her controlling shares in Fer's company. He tells Isa about the changing of the guard.

Willy's friends and family finally make it to the hospital and Moncho learns Adelita is no longer a nun. She asks him for a job.

Barf actually follows through with what she said to Willy and tells Juancho she doesn't want to marry without love. I hope she ends up preggers for real from Knuckles and they turn on one another while exposing their treachery to others.

Karen,

Thanks once again for the update.

I was really moved by Mr. C's little talk with the bebe. I wish Zoe would rethink this relationship. She and Mr. C belong together. Maybe F5 can be hit by the train somenight when he is out tom-cating around. Is there any chance the bebe is really Mr. C's?

Ricky is beyond evil, running down his own brother. Was he driving Doris' car? If anyone saw the accident this may the undoing of Doris's baby scam.

If Jorrible can do away with EWM, I am all for him having Horny's voting shares. How many people has killed? She is really the Evil Angel of Death.

Rosemary Primera

Thanks so much Karen!

Rosemary P.- I'm with you on Jorrible taking over the company. Both Horny AND Fer deserve it-- Fer for being a royal idiot and trusting Mani with his company for this long.

Yes, as annoying as it was that Lucia once again misinterpreted a tender moment between Willy and Adelita, I'm glad that this time she blamed the right person-- herself. It's interesting that Adelita, who started out as such a scared mouse, has more courage than Lucia (who appears tough because she is all bluff and bluster). Even when Lucia left the religious life the first time, she still only did so with the crutch of living Willy. Adelita is making the jump completely blind and alone, with hardly any money, no job, and no family or close friends around to support her. Go, Adelita go! Now, take a good look at that cutie Moncho. :)

typo...that's the crutch of loving Willy.

RP - Great point about Doris's car used in the hit & run accident. One way or another the baby scam has to be exposed.

And yes F5 should be taken out of the picture. He's so loathsome.

Vivi - ITA it is an interesting, even thoughtful, turn of events that Adelita left on her own with no support. Hopefully she'll realize what a great guy Moncho is soon!

And Fer and Horny do deserve Jorrible taking over as neither of them were good leaders. They both know that Manny can't even manage her life let alone a company.

Thanks so much Karen!

Yes, Horny & Fer deserve this outcome. Horny for being so "prepotente" that she insisted on buying the shares in Fer's firm as a way to have control, and then even worse, decide to "give her daughter a job" and put her in as a vice-president when she knew Manny had absolutely no experience (let alone work ethic) for taking that level of responsibility. Fer for blindly trusting Manny when he knew she was totally unqualified to "be in charge". What fantasy was he living that she had any business actually acting as vice president instead of being cordoned off the to side as a titular head where she could do no damage? I think we all feel it's impossible for someone like Fer to have been president of a successful construction company given how pathetically he runs his office.

Somewhere in the discussion with Cecilio I think Fer mumbled that Manny being his wife would make no difference in terms of him being responsible - i.e. if Manny is the guilty party, then Fer being married to her makes him just as liable (financially responsible for the outcome). He really is stuck. He's pretty sure she lied, but since he married her, he's screwed - LOL!

I agree with everyone, they should have known better than to let Mani be in charge of everything. They should have stuck her in an office and given her lots of reports to read, heck, reports and legal documents regarding projects that are long over or died and were never built, and told her it was super important presidential work for her to study them. Then give her some meaningless forms to sign. She wouldn't have known the difference and she wouldn't have done any damage. Horny wouldn't have, either, so Fer could have placated her demands to have Mani working there while maintaining control of the business.

It's pretty unbelievable that after all her maneuvering to buy into Fer's business and put her daughter in that position, Horny just stepped back and didn't monitor anything. You would have thought she would keep closer tabs on her daughter given what a big investment was at stake.

Yes, with Horny's casual attitude about it, I thought the sum must be piddling for her and she was just investing in it to keep Fer under her thumb and appease Manuela. It was actually the bulk of her fortune and then she let her psychotic daughter with neither business or construction experience, nor willingness to make an effort, run the place?! Horny deserves to lose every centavo.

I liked how Juancho couldn't suppress his utter delight that Barf didn't want to get married. I can believe she is sincere about that. Juancho isn't rich. She wants money.

Yes, it was also my impression that her investment was small. In fact, Horny was responsible for managing Manny's inheritance, and I thought it might have been mostly Manny's money invested in Fer's company. But now we learn she invested a chunk of her own fortune? Wow, what an idiot (for not paying attention).

Speaking of which, now that Manny married, shouldn't that change the disposition of her inheritance? Seems like Manny would no longer legally control it.

I think the writers might have dropped an important thread here.....

Audrey & Julia - it is completely unbelievable that Horny would invest a good amount of her money and then not monitor (or have someone else monitor) her investment. But then it serves her right for trying to control Fer and giving her incompetent daughter the VP position.

Yes Barf's endgame is money. I'm sure by the end Juancho will become rich and marry Marisol and Barf will be left with nothing.

Viernes

Jorrible convinces Isa to be his assistant as he takes over Fer's company. We all know this is nothing but trouble.

Horny after being away from our scenes for a while has return to cause more problems. She tells the Maris about Fer's financial crisis b/c she can no longer buy Marisol a car or throw her a big party for her 18th b-day. Fer comes in while Horny (with Manny standing silently by) blabs on. He's furious, tells the girls the sky is not falling, and asks his wretched suegra to leave.

The Maris bring their piggy bank to Fer in order to help him with the crisis; cute scene. Later Fer sets up Marisol to be EWM next victim. Marisol encourages him to divorce la loca and then tells him about what she saw. He thinks she's exaggerating and asks EWM about it. Of course she denies it while having a mini-break down in the midst of the denial. Oh Fer please protect your children b/c she will try to kill them.

And writers while you've made Fer one of the dumbest men ever please be consistent with his stupidity. After he and EWM have another fight he tells her he doesn't love her. But the next morning when she suggests they try again, he's game. Basta!

Best stuff of the week - Moncho invites Adelita to stay at his house, yeah. Tuqueque (another one we haven't seen for a while) instantly loves her and claims he wants her to live with them forever, yeah and we do too. Adelita thanks God for leading her to such kind people.

Barf chooses the wrong time (at the hospital while Willy is still there) to try to convince her mother about not marrying Juancho.

F5 tries to make cute w/Zoe and she buys it that night. Thankfully the next morning she finds a parking stub and starts to realize who F5 really is. She will not forgive him again. I hope she's packed and gone by the time he goes home on Monday's episode.

Doris and Poncho fake a birth certificate. I'm concerned about them not coming clean as TN law says they can't get away with this. The baby is adorable and smiles a great deal. Not a newborn but quite the cutie.

Mr. C. realizes F5 is a lying cheating bruto and who his amante is. I hope he tells Zoe otherwise it will take longer for those two to get together.

Sor Pilar (another long time no see character though I'm usually good not seeing her as she's a problem character like Horny) arrives at the casa hogar to tell Lucia and Adelita she has their profession dates; the bomb dropping sound effect is funny here. Lucia (I might start calling her the lying nun b/c she lies to others and herself) doesn't tell her Adelita left and of course at the end of the episode the three run into one another on the street. Sor Pilar almost has a heart attack seeing Adelita in pedestrian clothes.

We close the episode with Jorrible being introduced as the new partner. And the previews showing EWM calling Isa a traitor for working w/Jorrible. Her murder of that poor worker better surface before this TN ends.

Since there are about 53 episodes left, our dimwitted lead couple will probably take 52 episode to get together. If the writers get Moncho and Adelita together by Christmas, I'm a happy camper.

Thanks Karen! I so appreciate the time you put into the recaps and they really help.

I loved loved loved the scene with Zoe and Mr. C. He is adorable. Please Zoe, get a clue! After that scene I just know he is the real daddy. Yes Audrey, I believe the timeline is such that Mr. C. COULD be the baby-daddy. (Am I right about this or completely wrong? I seem to recall she had a fling with Cecilio about the same time she got pregnant.)

Oh boy, I see Karen just posted a recap for Friday. It doesn't air here for another half hour but it sounds like a good episode.

Thanks so much Karen for keeping us updated all week!

I had power go out on the last 10 minutes. But at least I can catch that on Hulu tomorrow! I definitely want to see Zoe and Cecilio figuring things out about F5. I doubt they'll talk to each other though - Cecilio has kept quiet before, shame on him.

Agreed - how can Fer explicitly tell Manny he doesn't love her, run after Isa claiming she's the love of his life, and then turn around the next morning willing to "work on their relationship" as soon as Manny asks for a reconciliation. Ugh! It's like he has no short term memory.

EWM will call Isa a traitor just for being alive - so what else is new? But in this case I'm hoping that Isa will have the upper hand for once. Jorrible said he was the major shareholder now, right? Isa is not the most assertive person, but if she lets the others ride roughshod over her now when she is no longer just "an employee" then I'll be verrrrry annoyed.

Can't she fire Manuela now that mommy no longer owns those shares?

I also couldn't believe how readily Lucia lied to Sor Pilar. Shame on her!

Ahoy Cap'n Sylvia! It seems plausible that Zoe has the timeline wrong. Even doctors make mistakes estimating how far along a pregnancy is. There hasn't been any indication so far other than Zoe's reckoning which could perhaps be a month off? I think it was someone else (other than I) who was speculating about the timeline, but I agree that the baby class scene really has the bell ringing on who really is the baby daddy!!!

Total beanie-cap time on that birth certificate. What - was there a vending machine downstairs?

Karen, thanks for Friday's recap. ITA that the scene between Adelita and Moncho was the cutest ever. Thank you writers for throwing us a bone as requested.

I honestly laughed out loud during the next morning scene when Fer agreed to give Manuela another chance. Way to throw your kids to the lioness Fer.

Audrey, ITA about the birth certificate. It was as unbelievable as Isa agreeing to become Jorrible's assistant. I think the two youngest Maris have more sense than most of the adults in this show.

Now more than ever Zoe, wise up and dump that cad of a husband. He has a big gigantic "L" on his forehead.

I sure am glad that Willy is OK. I had forgotten he only has one kidney.

Sylvia - so nice to see you! Yes the scene w/Zoe and Mr. C was great. I hope you are right about Zoe not getting the timeline right b/c F5 should not be parent and needs to stop pretending to be a spouse. As you said, he is a loser w/a capital L.

ITA that the younger Maris have more sense than most of the adults. It's unfortunate that the big people have such poor decision making skills.

Tuqueque's instant love of Adelita was the bonus to the Moncho/Adelita connection. In TNs, children are usually the barometer of good/bad people and who their parent should marry.

Audrey - Sorry to hear about the power going out. I hope all is well now. Love your plot development of having Isa fire EWM since her mother no longer owns the company. The only problem is that Stupid Fer would probably object in spite of the fact that he knows she is the cause of this wretched ordeal.

While Mr. C. did cover for F5 and probably knew the latter was up to his old tricks, he didn't know the amante was the woman F5 introduced him to. I hope he does tell Zoe and they can run off together.

And your vending machine dispensing birth certificates was a LOL moment.

It took over an hour for power to return. Who knows why it went out, but otherwise no big deal.

Agreed, that even if Isa fired Manny, Fer would object "because she's my wife", a lame excuse that seems to spring too quickly to his lips these days.
