Refugio Para el Amor #160 Fri 11/23/12 the anvils begin to fall, fast and furious... (EXPANDED)

Sorry this is so late… This ep was too great and moving to be too funny/sarcastic about it, so mostly it is direct from script:

Refrito:
Max brushes off Oscar’s accusations about Pedro Campos, again pointing to Claudio to explain. Claudio explodes. Tells Max: ‘ Enough with the lies!! Oscar talked to PC, knows it all. ‘

Lo Nuevo:
<i> Max confesses to Rod and Pato that he orchestrated the fraud and Pedro Campos executed the plan in exchange for a BOAT LOAD of money. Rod goes beserk angry, Pato voices to his father his extreme dissappointment and the fact that the image he had of the 'perfect gentleman' has just evaporated into thin air.</i>

Clau: If you have this office and fortune it is thanks to me!. Because you sank me in jail for 20 yrs! You are short of a man, you are a crook!
Max remains in denyal, saying Claudio has no evidence. Oscar jumps in, saying HE does. That PC is willing to tell anyone the truth, he is free from the law but not from his conscience. Claudio invites Max to call his sons in for a meeting so he can explain to them. Claudio gives Max a bit more of voice of conscience, 'You could never accept that Aurora was a better wife than RE and loved ME more than RE ever loved you.' Max gets physical pushing Claudio around. 'Go ahead but that won’t clean your conscience.'  As Oscar repeats orally his resignation to Max to stop the pushing around, Rod and Pato come in and ask Max why Oscar is quitting. Oscar invites Max to explain. ‘they are all yours’, adds Claudio. Rod asks Max if Oscar got a better job elsewhere.
Max says none of that. Oscar discovered a secret I never thought would come to light. I…. I orchestrated the fraud for which Claudio Linares paid for with 20 yrs in prison. Both sons are in disbelief. Max repeats he thought it would never be discovered. But his past condemns him and has come back in the form of PC. (Rod mentions the letter PC wrote freeing Claudio) Max continues: PC wrote that confession letter to clear his conscience, but when he committed that fraud, it was because I paid him a BOAT LOAD of money to do it and then disappear, but he came back! He came back!. (Rod and Pato keep yelling in disbelief, ask him why/how could he do it) with the ambition and envy that never leaves you. THAT is OUR NATURE. (Pato jumps, THAT is NOT OUR nature, at least NOT MINE!) Once I told you that you had no right to judge your father, but now I am here facing you both, my most severe judges, my own sons. That judgement will be terrible for me, and this time you have the right to enforce it.
P: I can’t believe it. I am extremely sad. In one second, the image of the perfect gentleman has imploded (in my eyes). I have nothing else to tell you.
M: I do. I never thought that by sinking Claudio Linares, I would be causing so much pain, mainly for Luciana and all of you… I wish I could…
R: (charging Max grabbing him by the lapels) Do you realize the damage you made? To Luciana, to Claudio and to me!! You are a liar, dad!! A liar!!
(Pato yells to him to let him go)
P: Do you realize what you and my mom have done with our lives?
R: Why, dad? For money? For power?  Why, dad?? Respond to me!!
M: What is done, is done. I will assume the consequences. The only thing I regret profoundly is to have harmed all three of you.
P: Dad, know what is the difference between you and my mother and the three of us?... that we do know how to forgive.
As Max leaves, Rod goes beserk as a human hurricane wrecking the conference room. Pato remains calm, just calls his name, then they have a silent stare where Pato nods what I will interpret as ‘its all going to be ok, bro’. That seems to calm Rod down some.

Paz and Magda compliment Don Chelo on Mateo’s looks and personality. Mateo asks them if they know Rod. Sure. Max tells them Rod has offered to take him to watch movies with him and Alexia. Luci says they have to leave. Luci gives Mateo the signal of the cross (her blessing). Later on at Luci’s apartment… <i>* Paz tells Luci that Mateo has Luci’s eyes and looks just like she did at his age. Luci momentarily goes wishful thinking, but then justifies it as her anxiety to find her real son.</i>
Magda goes to say goodbye to Vio at the carwash, Vio refers to Aquiles as ‘mi papa’ and Magda gets upset. Vio tells her it is about time to get all that hatred and rancor out of her soul.

Somewhere in Acapulco, Gala and Julie are at a café discussing how could RE open the doors of her house and accept an engagement between Janah and the taquero.
Julie says RE is so arrogant (the kettle?)
Gala says she still has an ace inside her sleeve to get even more money out of Rod.
Julie says be careful.

RE goes to TL offices to rant at Rod for having divorced Gala. (I would say she picked the WORST moment she could have, and the way he yanks her arm into his office is evidence of my theory)
R: I have no reason to consult you on any of my decisions. And I will ask you to please stop meddling in my life, not for good and not for bad. Simply leave me alone!
RE: Let me remind you this also affects my granddaughter too! (I can’t believe this woman!! What about her grandson!??)
R: Why do you think I waited 5 yrs to do it? To not separate a girl from her mother! Gala is the one that requested the divorce, not me!! And I assure you Alexia will be better off without her mother around!
RE: Are you reconciling with Luciana?
R: No, mama, no! And let me remind you, OUR son is lost, and that is the most important issue right now! And now, pls don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
RE: Don’t disrespect me!
R: Neither should you disrespect me! Enough already! Please go!
(wow! The man does have some backbone in there somewhere!! Self-Control? Well, that he still has to work on a bit… ok, a LOT!)

* Gala's boyfriend Mirko wants her to use his financial advisor. Gala and Julie are both buying what he sells. (this creates the anvil for all the money Rod had to give her... )

Pato is in Luci’s office, she is talking to him about Mateo, and he tries to play up to her spirits, but he is visibly sad.  Namurachi calls Luci to tell her her works will be put on exhibit at one of the most exclusive galleries in Latin America.
At Acapulco, Gala calls Frigida to get her some papers she left in her dresser. Frigida gets ironic about Gala not being ‘la senora de la casa’ anymore… but seems she ultimately does what Gala needs.

Don Chelo accepts letting Mateo go with Rod and Alexia to go watch movies at the apartment. Rod gives Don Chelo his business card and Don C is impressed with Rod’s VP title. Just bring him back before dark.

PRocopio is the human cane for Don Aquiles, he wants to go back to work. When they get to the store, Don Aq is shocked about all the veladoras candles, virgin images, flowers, dedications and get well prayers that people had put outside the windows of his store. Procopio says it is all the towns people brought for him while he was sick.
* RE goes into her little chapel and talks to God as if she is his 'chosen enforcer' and asks for his guidance as to what must be done about Lorenzo and Janah. She is considering even 'sacrificing' her own daughter.

* Pato gets a surprise gift from his family and friends plus nana minus the Jacintos... a customized car for him.
It is very symbolic, how Pato and Max try to avoid eye contact until Max crunches down to Pato’s level.
P: Thank you. You will never stop surprising me. You are so unpredictable…. You all know what is next? .. To walk again!
Max hugs Pato and they continue their conversation more in private/whispering.
M: I promised you, son. I will make sure you will walk again, at whatever cost. I have not forgotten that promise.
P: Dad, it confuses me so much that on one side you can be the best dad, and on the other hand, what I have discovering that you are. But I can’t avoid thanking you for all you have done.
M: Thank you for your example and your integrity.
Jorge: That is right, Pato. You are an example of bravery, determination and courage.
M: Just what I was short of when I had your age.
(All the young ones get in the car with Pato)
Mati walks back in the house. RE barks that is just what I needed, now Pato will be free to go wherever he wants, and the first place he will go is to see Luciana.
Mati: To go see Luci or whoever he wants, it is a blessing nonetheless!
RE: Get outahere! I banned you to meddle with the family business.
Mati: Yes you did and I tried to stay on the sideline, but I can’t help to feel happy for one more achievent of Patricio’s. That kid keeps teaching us about humility and life! I hope one day you will realize the treasure you have in that son of yours.

Claudio brings Luci home… Luci tells him about the exhibit at Santa Fe Galleria, one of the most important ones in Latin America. Claudio is very proud of her.
Claudio tells Luci about Pedro Campos confession that Max paid him for what he did. Luci gets upset.

Gala gets the paperwork from Frigida and asks her to keep her aware of everything that happens at the apartment. (Seems Frigida tells her that right now Rod is with Alexia and Mateo watching movies and eating yummy snacks at the apartment.
<i>* Gala goes back to the apartment and finds Mateo, Alexia and Rod having a movie night at the apt, sharing plenty of pop corn and a huge multi-gallon tub of chocolate ice cream... and has a tantrum. Rod takes her away to speak alone to her and basically tells her 'hey, what's it to you anymore?'</i> She warns him to enjoy it while he can because she has the last card in the game.  Alexia invites Gala to stay over a while, but Gala says no, and for good measure asks Alexia to tell nanny to give her a bath and throw away the clothes when the ‘escuincle’ leaves. Rod yells at her. Alexia asks when will you come back. Gala smirks and says ‘I don’t know’ and leaves. Alexia tells Rod ‘I don’t think she will be back soon’. Rod asks her not to worry.

Don Chelo tells Dona Chuy that Mateo was soooo happy to go spend time with Rod and Alexia… he is more convinced everyday that Mateo should have a better father, someone like Don Rod, who can give him what I can’t. Dona Chuy says Mateo has the father he deserves because God sent him.

Pato’s car load stops by to pick Lorenzo to take him to the ‘café de los chinos’. At the café, Janah asks Pato if he is alright since he seems sad. Pato says its nothing.
<i>* a waitress with a rather loose tongue reveals to Janah and Pato about the HOT HOT coffee bath Lorenzo got, compliments of RE</i> Janah questions him on not telling about it. Lore says he just caught her on a bad day (now I wonder if he caught her on a better day what she would have done to him), that he won’t resent her. Pato thanks Lorenzo ‘my sister will marry a gentleman.’ Lorenzo thanks his brother in law.
Later on we see more scenes with these three getting along great.

Selene and Delia tease Vio on Leandro’s kiss… Vio certainly is in la-la land.

<i>* Don Aquiles asks his accountant (?) for a listing of all his assets (properties) ... (does he want to write his will?)</i>

Claudio and Luci invited Oscar and Connie to her apartment. They all talk about what Max did and how he deceived everyone for so long. Luci says once more the most harmed were Janah, Pato and Rod. Connie agrees. Luci thanks Oscar for what he did in surfacing the truth. Claudio asks Oscar what he will do now. For now will spend some time with Connie and enjoy myself. <i>*Luci and Claudio offer Oscar to be an associate at his legal suite, Oscar briefly hessitates, then gladly accepts.</i>

Gala and Julie talk about Mirko and their ‘lucky day’ in getting to know him. They also talk about Gala not needing to waste her best years with Rod. Julie says let him get with the domestica and fly away together. Gala says no, she won’t allow that either as long as she lives. She has Frigida spying everything he does. Julie says Frigida will continue costing them money.
<i>* Gala and Julie see the article about this on the newspaper and are not short on cursings for la 'chacha'.</i> Gala keeps smoking and nagging about it a good while. Until Mirko comes back and keeps feeding them the stories about the financial advisor and the investment opportunities. Gala says she wants to meet his FA and get more info on his ‘private markets’ (LOL!) right away.

Melissa visits Luci. Melissa tells Luci she was offered a job at a non profit org in NY. Melissa looks very excited at the opportunity, but before she leaves, she wants to consult Luci, her love for Claudio. She wants him to know. She has decided to talk to him about it. Luci is reluctant, maybe this love has become an obsession. Luci says Claudio only has the memory of Aurora in his heart. Melissa claims that is because he has not fallen in love again.  what if I take the risk? What if I tell him? I have nothing to lose! (in comes Claudio and invites her to speak up if she has nothing to lose)

Rod brings Mateo back to Don Chelo before dark, as promised, plus a huge beach ball.
Don Chelo asks Rod why so much interest in Mateo. Rod says Mateo has exactly the same age of the child he and Luci lost. And somehow Mateo reminds him of their son.

RE on phone with Boris plan a kidnapping of Janah on the day of her wedding.

A whole lot of flash previews about the final week: Chelo telling Rod ‘Mateo is not my son’. Apparently Janah does get to her wedding, but then RE arrives and falls to floor… We also see RE with black spots in her hands (a. la. Jesus Christ), Luci slaps Gala, Rod grabs Gala by neck with his arm, a pot of Luci’s falls to floor… it all flashes by…

definitely have to say this was, if not THE best, one of the best episodes in the novela... wow! for both the writing and the acting!

Marta,

Yes, another great episode. I loved the movie night. I bet Rod never had one as a kid, so he was really enjoying himself!

After tonight and Gagme's melt down, I bet Frigida offers the bracelet to Rod to keep the evil mother away from sweet little girl. Rod was always her favorite and she has bonded with Alexia and I am sure doesn't like what happened one bit.

Rosemary Primera

"Sacrificing" Jana. This woman has no limits.

This is blasphemy and sacrilege, for which Roselena would have been burned at the stake in earlier times. More later; I'm going to try to get some sleep.

Loved the scene when Max manned up and told his boys what he had done, he made no excuses and it was obviously how much it pained him and how much it hurt the boys. Rod typically resorted to violence. He has the control of a six year old.

Loved Pato getting his car and freedom and how everyone was sharing it with him. Everyone that is except the wicked witch of the west who is inside in a snit. Just knew that someone at the cafe would remember the coffee tosser and spill the beans. Poor Pato and Jana everyday brings some new disillusioning revelation with the worse yet to come.

Frigida is not making any moves toward redemption, still tattling and tipping off the two bimbos as to what is going on in the house. She better play the bracelet card pretty soon or it will be too late. Poor Mateo probably never had a dose of nastiness like that thrown at him.

I think that exhibit where Luci's pots will be shown ii's either the Indian or Spanish Markets in Santa Fe New Mexico. They are both extremely prestigious and that fact ticked off Gagme who has to continue thinking that Luci is a no talent domestica.

Enjoying the idea that Gagme's boy toy is in it for her money and when he get it both he and it will be gone.

Bore-us and La Loca plotting and scheming to disrupt Jana's wedding -yawn. Neither of them ever learns.

I'm so tired of kidnappings. Have we had a novela in the recent past that DIDN'T involve a kidnapping? Let me think about it and weigh in tomorrow.

Nite all. Gracias Martaivett.

Rosalena's recent visits to the chapel of course have been quite disturbing. While her outbursts may seem uniquely her own brand of craziness one cannot forget she has read her bible, especially the Psalms in the Old Testament. Her rants recall, for example, the closing passages of Psalm 17 where the Psalmist calls upon God to give him victory over his enemies:
"You have given me your saving shield and you have stooped to make me great...I pursued my enemies and overtook them, nor did I turn again till I made an end of them. I smote them and they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet...I ground them fine as the dust before the wind; like the mud in the streets I trampled them down." But unlike the Psalmist, Rosalena is really in league with the devil and she will not win.

Marta what a great detailed summary you put up. I can't wait for your detailed recap and will comment then. Your recaps are always wonderful.

Even the ancients(Greeks and Romans) developed a distaste for human sacrifice, which was never permissible in any Christian faith. I can't wait to see where this goes.

hi this is martaivett, expanded recap will be posted later this evening, have to go to my mom's house first for a while.

Looking forward to the expended version Marta. Your recaps are so great! Caught this episode this morning on Hulu (we had our Thanksgiving yesterday). Maybe it was because I was still tired, but lord this episode made me teary. And of course, it's always Pato's reactions that do it to me. The revelation on Max, the car, even his reactions with Janna and Lorenzo...there is such a sense of loneliness about him even when he's in a group. Can't stand it!!!

Love Oscar and CL hooking up. And the "kids night out" was hysterical.(I got a sugar rush just watching it.) I agree with Rosemary, bet Rod never got to have such fun as a kid and is enjoying it as much as Alexia and Matteo.

Yeah--Gala and Mumsie is about to be ripped off. Man, they are both so STUPIDO.

Today is putting up the tree day before the boys head back to schools. Check back soon!

Right out of the Old Testament, Abraham is "tested" by God, commanded to sacrifice his long-awaited only son. Only at the last moment is he granted reprieve, since he had proved his absolute loyalty and obedience.

So, since RE is pretty much living an Old Testament fantasy of a righteous and vengeful god who can "smite thine enemies", and the Jana sacrifice fits right in.

Except Rosalena is no Abraham (who was kind and honest as well as god-fearing)

No chance to watch this on TV but saw the computer version while the grandchildren were freezing their little buns off at the zoo. (Fortunately I had to stay home to make them a blueberry pie.) As Marta said, awesome writing and acting.

Anonymous...thanks for the quote from Psalms. Yes, there are quite a few "avenge me on my enemies" types there. And Audrey, on point about Abraham and his son as well.

Shows you what reading the Bible and being religious can lead to , if you don't incorporate Christ's message of Love and Forgiveness.

Roselena needs to recheck the Lord's Prayer. It's all spelled out there.

Marta- Looking forward to the recap later. Thank you for giving us a mini recap to start us off.

It was a very emotional episode in many ways, particularly for Pato who so clearly sees both the good and th bad in his father- which makes it more painful. Daisynjay- You hit right on Pato's sense of lonliness. That was really clear this episode.

I agree that Rod reacts like a 6 year old to everything. It was so telling when younger brother Pato had to call Rod's name to tell him to calm down in the middle of his tantrum. But Rod is a fun companion for the two five year olds.

I was so glad when Paz said out loud that Mateo looks just like Luci at that age, but then of course they talked themselves out of it by saying they are letting their hope cloud their thinking. If only they were more suspicious people, then they would start asking Chelo some hard questions about his "wife" and when and where Mateo was born.

Daisynjay

You hit the nail on the head with Pato and the loneliness. In the car scene it was very evident. Everyone was really excited thinking that the car will give him freedom. He was very quiet perhaps thinking that with the specially rigged car it was just another reminder that he can not walk and that while they love him and keep telling him he will walk again deep down they don't really believe it.

I think that was a big part of it Decie. He has been so insistent he will walk again and is looking into the possibilities of surgeries (which the family is not aware of)and the car is just another reminder that that may not ever happen. He knows they all really meant well, but again he's the odd man out, having to use something that is "different" like he is.

But I think another aspect of his reaction to the car was knowing that his father, the man who he just discovered was a crook and that he denounced, had made this happened. He had to know that the others may have thought of it, but most likely Max paid for it and wanted it for him. That's a lot to deal with in a short span of time ( plus Janna, Aldo and Melissa I don't think knew anything yet.)

It's what makes Max so complex--he is a crook, selfish, a cad and mean to his mistress, but for his children he would do anything. VERY unlike their mother. (Who it must be said had just insulted Pato the other day saying his being stuck in a chair was atonement for his sins...some mother.)

I think that is what makes Max so interesting. He apparently was never mean to Vicki until she started sneaking around with Aldo. There has been no hint that he had other mistreses unless one counts Rosa delusion about Aurora. He has that illegal business thing going but he is still considered a brilliant business man. You are right he would do anything for his children. He has sworn to Pato that he will support him through anything he chooses. The contrast as a parent can not be more different than Rosa. While the car deal is going on and Max is running around directing Pato and enjoying it, Rosa is inside planning a virgin sacrifice of her own daughter.

If we adds up their crimes, though, Roselena has Max beat by miles. Business fraud can't begin to compare with kidnapping defenseless infants and leaving one of them to die. That the second infant is her own grandchild makes Roselena the greater criminal in civil terms as well as in emotional terms for everything Decie Girl just wrote.

martaivett says:
Daisynjay, Decie, ita about Pato's reactions to the car and to Max's confession... i love this character so much, and Brandon's performance.
Also agree with UA on RE's crimes way outdoing Max's crimes... morally, if not legally.
I also feel bad for Don Chelo... he sees an inevitable separation from Mateo coming around the corner and he is not looking forward to it... even though he can see that Rod and Luci would be great parents for Mateo if they are indeed his parents, he must feel very sad and lonely anticipating what is to come. and ultimately, it is not fair if he has to separate completely from the child he has dedicated himself to the last 5 yrs.

SuperMarta---even your short version was very helpful.

Anonymous 2:07---Your comment was great. I really liked it.

JudyB---Also an excellent comment posted on 11-24 at 10:01

Audrey---Rosalena is the one that should be sacrificed, not Jana. Why hasn't she been hit with lightning, a sign from God?

I have had a thought for a while and I hope that I am wrong. Please Pato don't die in surgery.
the gringo

The thing about Rosa's asking for revenge on her enemies is ludicrous, not one of these "enemies" has ever done anything to her, AT ALL. Nothing she is doing has any scriptural basis.
And kidnappings are very overdone in these stories. Ugh. I hope it gets foiled. What kind of dufus is Boris that he keeps following what Rosa says?

Boris is obsessed with Jana. He may be thinking that because Roselena can control her, he should be able to control her.

I'm about to go into a rant about this.

This means he respects her less than Roselena ever did. Roselena is her mother and doesn't have to respect her as an adult for 18 years because she is technically menor de edad; for Boris not to respect her is worse because he is her unrelated peer. He probably sees her as a uterus with legs.

Boris' parents are rich; he should just call that guy in California who makes custom sex dolls for %5K US.

Oops; I meant $5K US.

Thanks for your recap Marta.

I will be happy when Rosa is locked up. I really dislike crazy, controlling "religious" women manipulate others and twisting religious doctrine to their own ends as Emaire said.

UA - ITA abou Bore-us. He's a entitled twit who is obsessed w/Jana but clearly, as you noted, does not respect her.

Love your expanded version Marta. I am going to miss out motley gang after next week. I'm sure the acting over the next week is going to be knocked out of the park.

Gringo--I don't know about whether it's in a surgery or how, but I've had a bad vibe on Pto for a long time. But Mati's comment to RE--that about nailed it for me. Her wake-up call, and perhaps her final descent to deep madness, will be the loss of her son? She'll probably look at it as God's retribution for all HER past and current deeds.

And I will be shopping for a new TV since I'll probably throw something at it when they do that to all of us.

We'll all need new TV's if Pato dies. I hate to say this but I'm actually hoping that near the end we will have a little flash forward, enough time for Mateo to settle into his new life and for Pato to get the surgery and arrive in time to walk into the church for the Fin Boda. I've been really glad that the writers avoided the TN trap of an instant cure but i want it this time.

Had to laugh at Luci telling Melissa she was obsessed with Claudio. Name me someone in this story who isn't/has been obsessed with someone. Pato, Lor Jana. Rod, Luci all hopelessly in love for five years with no resolution. Vicki and Aldo obsessed with getting money from Max, Gagme and the CQ obsessed with sticking it to Luci and Rod, Rosa obsessed with sticking it to everyone as God's Chosen One. I guess I'm going to start calling her the Enforcer because it presented suck a delightful image and we all know what happens to enforcers.

Oh yes anf all of us obsessed with this story. LOL

Ok, Martaivett--Again, thank you for a splendid recap, expanded or contracted, it was wonderful.

I'll make this short and sweet:

Max is an individual who has perfected the art of compartmentalization. I think we all agree. What bothers me is that his "confession" came off very quickly and he never answered Pato's question, "WHY" he did what he did. (I guess Pato didn't get to hear all of Claudio's reasons.)

My take is that he firmly believes that what he does he does for the good of his family and his business empire (a legacy for his children) is permitted, that he's used to saying he's sorry, whether he means it or not. They are just words to him.

Rod needs an anger-mgt. course. So far, he's been ok with Alexia and Mateo. Does he really have a hair-trigger temper? If he does, then Luci had better take the class as well, to learn how to manage Rod.

It couldn't be more obvious to Viewerville that Mirko is the new Bruno--he has slimy written all over his face. A perfect scam artist, who pretends not to want their money while funneling them right into his accomplice's arms. Who knew we'd be cheering Mirko on. It just too bad it's Rod's money going down the tubes. I sure hope nice, generous Luci won't take pity on Gagme and ask Rod to cover her loss. Julie needs to go back to NYC (oops, I intended that for the Punishment Page).

Daisynjay & Decie--ITA with your observations of Pato. He's painfully aware that his brother and his sister will both be with the person they love, but he has no one. OTOH, he's been concentrating so hard on his physical rehabilitation in order to be worthy of Luciana, that he's closed himself off to other relationships. Surely Melissa has a few friends and colleagues to introduce to him. I hope that his loneliness is not permanent--we just probably won't get to see it.

I wish they hadn't spent so much time developing Sour-Puss Lemon-Pucker-Lips Marcial and his B* of a wife and two kids and given us a little more of her new beau. They must have left a lot of him on the cutting room floor--so it makes it look as though she fell for him and moved on to a passion-laden kiss after a couple of stops at the car wash.

Decie--They should have called this novela Un Refugio para los Obsesionados Porque Aqui no Hay Amor, No how, Now way!

Great job Marta!

About obsession-- I wouldn't call what Luci feels for Rod obsession because she hasn't spent her time obsessing about him. He loves her, and she loves him. She's spent her time working, helping others, and educating herself. That's a lot of stuff.

Now, when the feelings aren't returned, and it causes people to change their plans/put plans on hold or make decisions they wouldn't usually make- like Boris going to Italy for five years to stalk Hannah, then I call that obsession.

True, Vivi, but Rod has used every excuse to get in Luci's personal space. True, she forgave him in that tearful, emotional scene in HetHet, but it didn't give him the right to keep popping up everywhere when she kept asking him not to.

Anita, like Vivi, I wouldn't call what Rod has an obsession; he's just STILL immature and wildly inappropriate. As Decie Girl and Daisynjay have often observed Rod is very self-centered so he does not care that his behavior towards Luci is stalking or that she has asked him SEVERAL times to leave her alone. Like Rosa, he feels his actions are justified b/c this is love.

I also hate the idea that Rod's money will be wasted, but that is a good beginning for Gagme's Karmageddon. Rod probably won't care; he and Max can make more money.

If Luci bails her out I will have no respect for her.

I will not miss hearing Gala constantly calling her "la domestica" or Julie calling her "la chacha." The latter sounds so cheap.

Decie Girl---Yes we're obsessed with this story. I know I am.

I hope Mirko takes Gala for every penny she's got. I will roll on the floor laughing for days if that happens. But now I wonder what ace she has up her sleeve involving Alexia and keeping Rodrigo from Luciana? The only thing that comes to mind is that she would relinquish all rights to Alexia for a huge sum of money and stipulate that he can NEVER have any kind of a relationship with Luciana. She's just vindictive enough to do something like that. It's okay for her to go out and have a life, but Rodrigo isn't allowed to be happy with the woman he loves.

That would never be legally enforceable. She might think she can stuff that down his throat but I don't see it happening.

Marta- great wonderful expanded recap. Everything I wanted to say has been said, but I'll comment anyway.

Am with you all about Mirko. I too hope he takes Gagme and the CQ for everything they have. I want them to suffer for everything they've done and no money would be a go way to go, plus jail time.

I too feel for Pato. He is such a lonely guy and one of the best characters on this TN. I too want a miracle cure for him to walk by the end of this TN.

Rosa la loca is the devil's minion. He has owned her lock, stock and barrel for a long time. She just doesn't see it. She thinks she is some kind of marytr, how wrong she is. She needs to be in the manicomo or jail.

Bore-us is an idiot. I don't think this little plan of la loca's and Bore-us will succeed.

I don't like the previews with Rosa la loca and the stigmata, she is so not holy.

I too wish they had expanded the Vio and new boyfriend story line, they did waste so much time in the Lemon Sucking Face Marcial story line.

I think Rod didn't have a good example growing up, with his parents and that is why he chases Luci. Yes, it is true love for him as it is for her, and he doesn't know how to deal with it, except the way he does, look who his examples were.

I too wonder what Gagme could possibly do to Rod, except torture Luci in some way. I think that is her main aim anyway. I hope she fails and big.

This is a great recap, MartaIvett. Wow. This has got to be an original way for Rosa to run Jana's wedding.
Wonder what the Gala/Luci fight will be about.

Did Claudio at the end hear what Melissa was saying? My assumption is no. Any other opinions? Guess we'll find out tonight.

Decie Girl---Obsessed with this story--yes, but also with the Caray, Caray! bloggers. You guys are great.

Im so going to miss this TN after Friday.

Vio you go girl! The guy is good looking, apparently has $$$ and sent you a bunch of flowers. Not to mention showing up what we assume is daily asking you out.

I think Chelo & Chuy are starting to put two-and-two together regarding Little Rod/Mateo, Luci & Rod. I hope when the truth comes out this week (as we would think it would) that Luci & Rod will allow Chelo & Chuy to continue to see Little Rod. Especially since its apparent he was well taken care of.

Oh Gagme & CCQ Julie you all better start spending that $$$$ because it looks like its about to disappear via a one-way ticket to Buenos Aires (or wherever Mirko will take it). And Gagme: you are getting played bigtime girl and will find out the hard way. *happy clapping*
