Amores Verdaderos #24 Tue 12/11/12 Jealousy, revived orchids, and more jealousy

Lo siento, another "phoning it in" recap. Just too much going on for me! I really hope I can do more screencaps this time! I'm going to do a bulleted-list from-memory recap. Please fill in any gaps! I know I missed some things and will likely get a few things wrong. I always appreciate it when you all add more and correct the things I mess up! LOL.

First, a nice screencap:

Guzmancito is amused by Polita's display of spatula singing.

Lily being hired as a gardener just makes Nikki more jealous and furious.

RECAP IN BRIEF (events may not be listed in order).

* We have a refrito of Big Angel hovering outside of Vicki's door and acting so busted when she sees him there, as well as Nelson trying to act like the devoted husband, but snoozing off like he always does. Vicki thinks that such happiness can't last. Later she has more intimate talk with her hubby about how things were crap for a while there. He's gonna try to make things better. She mentions to him that she was even wondering if he was interested in another woman (Nelson goes *gulp*). She says that she's not the kind of woman to tolerate cheating.

* Nelson wants to go away for the weekend somewhere with Vicki. It's not her favorite spot, but she'll go because he asked.

* Polita is singing into her spatula in the kitchen. She's very animated and hilarious. I gather from her accent that she's imitating some famous singer, but I don't know which one. She is impactada when she discovers that Guzmancito has been witnessing this display. He claps and compliments her on her dancing and singing. She's thrilled.

* Vicki is talking with Nikki, and Guzmancito comes up in conversation. Nikki makes this big show of saying that Guzman is a gorilla, just doing his job, nothing special. She overdoes it. Vicki wonders what is going on, since the day before Nikki was going on about what a super guy Guzmancito was. Vicki confronts Guzmancito about this. "Did anything happen between you and my daughter, that her attitude has changed?" Guzmancito has a deer in the headlights look. He denies anything was amiss. Liar, liar, pants on fire! Big Angel is there and he suspects that there's more to it. When Vicki leaves he asks Guzmancito. Guzmancito merely says that he had to clarify to Nikki what his job duties were. Which is technically true, but still so totally not the whole picture.

* Anibal goes to Christina's apartment to get the newspaper with the important writing on it. She invites him in for coffee while she looks for the paper. They have a chat about faithfulness of spouses. She rants about how her husband wouldn't be unfaithful, but she rants and raves (I missed some of this scene) and I think that all of this is cutting a little too close to the bone for Anibal (if he had any shame for what he's done—which I don't know if he does).

* Paula knocks on Christina's door. There is Anibal sitting there, having coffee. Impactada Paula. Christina, obliviously asks if they know each other. Anibal frostily says no. Paula says the same. Christina says well, they're neighbors! She "introduces" them. Anibal leaves and Paula comes in for a visit. Christina obliviously trills that Paula and Anibal would make a good couple. Oh boy.

* Later on at a servant's meal, Polita hints around that she and Guzmancito can go out together on a friendly date, just friends, JUST FRIENDS, right? Guzmancito, whom I believe is thinking of the "inappropriateness" of the kiss with Nikki earlier, agrees to go out with Polita. She is thrilled and shoots excited looks to Jean Marie, who is very happy for her. (I think Polita and Jean Marie are adorable.)

* Paula calls her friend (Anibal's secretary) and tells her the latest drama between her and Anibal. She now feels like she "has no choice" but to conceal the truth about Candalaria (however you spell it), Christina, and Lily, aka Anibal's ex amante, Anibal's daughter and granddaughter. The secretary asks Paula if she is sure she wants to do this. Paula is sure.

* The younger, long-haired kidnapper is found dead out in the middle of nowhere. The police are carting away his body, and saying he was the victim of robbery.

* Nikki, in the throes of rejection and jealousy after the kiss with Guzmancito, invites her sleazy friend Vlad (he with the designer stubble) over to the house. He's got "someone with him" at the moment, but he'll come over later.

* Creepy designer stubble guy Vlad comes over. Polita mentions this to Guzmancito. His jaw clenches and he goes to the foyer area where Vlad is waiting. Stink eye from Guzmancito; he is seething with jealousy. Nikki appears and rushes over to greet him effusively, all for effect, since Guzmancito is watching. She invites Vlad up to HER BEDROOM. Polita sees all of this and sees Guzmancito's reaction. She asks if he is jealous. Guzmancito has a black expression but says of course not. He is so vexed and so obviously perturbed when he says this, that Polita can't help but wonder.

* Touching scene between Beatriz and Felipe, gambling Guzman dad. He has a wad of bills to give her. He says he has a friend (I think he means Thomasina) who is giving him good numbers, and he's had good luck. Beatriz doesn't want gambling money; she's looking for a job. Felipe really wants her to take it. He says that he really loved her mother, even though he's a mess up. He knows he should have done better with her and Francisco. Beatriz's son (whose name escapes me) has brought Felipe back to life. He begs Beatriz to take the money, because he wants to start making up for being such a crappy dad. "Please take the money, better that you have it than I waste it on my addiction." He knows he has a problem and is at least trying. They both are crying at this point. The little son comes over (he's been playing soccer in the park) and raises their spirits.

* Christina is being her own worst enemy. She has some ridiculous phone quarrel with Big Angel, throwing jealous accusations at him, telling him that she loves him so much, but he doesn't seem to be missing her, blah de blah. Big Angel tries to calm her down but he's getting increasingly impatient. Finally he hangs up on her, telling her that they'll talk later.

* Vlad is in Nikki's bedroom; she's listening to her iPod and he doesn't approve of her music choice. Some idiocy about that. Finally Vlad says he's bored, he senses he's being used. He leaves in a huff and says she doesn't take anything seriously, even herself. When he leaves she gets all morose, looks at herself in the mirror, and then starts scarfing down the contents of a box of candy that Vlad had given her as a gift. She crams them in her face, just like in that famous scene in "I Love Lucy" where Lucy and Ethel get a job at a candy factory. You know the one.

* Lily has revived that ailing orchid that Vicki entrusted to her, and Lily delivers it to the home. It looks like a big long stick with a little bud attached to it, but that apparently is a huge step up from the withered thing it was before. Everyone in the kitchen is gushing over it. Vicki comes in and is very pleased with the improvement. Big Angel is hugging his daughter proudly. Lily mentions that she's looking for work (Big Angel says she's stubborn by wanting to get a job) and Vicki has this great idea that Lily could be in charge of the greenhouse. Lily is all for that!

* Vicki asks Guzmancito to go get Nikki. Guzmancito knocks on her door and interrupts Nikki in mid-binge. She says she'll be out in a moment and goes into the bathroom to purge the chocolates.. He wanders into her bedroom, somehow immediately notices the empty box of candies she's hidden behind her pillow, and then overhears her barfing through the bathroom door. Guzmancito, connect the dots! He does have a look of realization on his face.

* Anibal is visiting. He's curious as to why Vicki took out $2 million. She has some lame excuse. Nikki has finished barfing and comes down to greet grandpa. Happy happy. He thinks she's too thin. She gives her excuses and Vicki says that she's seeing a nutritionist.

* Nikki goes to the kitchen, sees Lily there with her overalls or bib or something, and is told that Lily works there now. This just makes Nikki more jealous. Nikki is super upset and insults Lily. Lily is in tears, thinking that she's lost her job on the first day!

* Guzmancito is comforting Lily, who is crying about the lost job. He's holding her face in her hands and is close to her. Big Angel comes in and this looks VERY BAD to our protective dad. Guzmancito *gulps* at the sight of a huge, angry Big Angel, quickly explains what's really going on. Big Angel takes Lily into his arms and comforts her, somewhat mollified. Guzmancito is off the hook.

* Nikki goes back to her mom, all upset about Vicki hiring Lily. Bitch bitch bitch. Somehow the conversation brings up something about her kidnapping, a fact that Vicki had hoped to conceal from Anibal. But it's all out now. Blah blah Anibal is very angry that he wasn't told. Vicki says that he raised her to be independent. But this is not what he meant! Then the accusations start to fly about how he treated her sister (Adriana? I still am getting a grasp on the names). She also brings up how he cheated on their mom by flaunting his mistress in front of everyone, and how she (Vicki) wasn't raised to suffer in silence like her mom. OH WHOA, all of this stuff really brings out the drama! Anibal actually raises his hand as if to strike Vicki! Viewerville is impactado.

END OF EPISODE!

Avances: Looks like Guzmancito finally finds out about Nikki's eating disorder. Lots of drama around the toilet bowl. Must see TV! (I say that every week! LOL)

Elvira, what a marvelous recap. Loved every line, no need to be sorry, loved the screen caps too!

I had to laugh at the "date" of Polita and Guzmancito. That should be fun. Polita and Jean Marie are also my favorite characters.

I didn't think Nikki would change, even with this kidnapping, but ya know I feel really sorry for her. She is rich and spoiled, but the poor girl needs some kind of direction in her life. Some sort of job or something to hold her interest. Her bulimia seems to be escalating, probably due to the rejection by Guzmancito, but he knows he crossed the line with her, she doesn't get that.

I wish Chrissie would get a grip. I feel if she would woo him with some honeyed words, she wouldn't have to worry about him not coming home. She keeps this up, he won't want to come home anymore.

The orchid that Lili "fixed" actually had beautiful leaves on the bottom, where there were none before and a beautiful new growth on the top, which they shouldn't have been handling like that. Orchids are very delicate things. I really hope she gets to keep her new job. She really is a miracle worker with plants. Hated what Nikki said to her.

I like Guzmancito better with Lili than I do with Nikki. They seem more like soul mates, but we know Guzmancito has it bad for Nikki.

Too funny about Paula and Anibal "meeting for the first time", lol and what Chrissie said, lol. Paula really is wasting her time.

The secretary aka Paula's bff is Hilda, and Bea's son's name is Guillo. I had to write everyone's name down in the beginning to keep them all straight :) Don't worry about Candelaria's name, I don't think I spell it right either.

Like what Felipe did for Bea and hopefully he hangs around Tomasina more and she rubs off on him to be a good guy.

Didn't like what Anibal was about to do to Vikki, re the slap. What a jerk.

Ms Vikki is getting under the Angel's skin. If Chrissie keeps this up, he will start to think of straying, even though I think he kinda thinks that now. I don't think Ms Vikki is ready for that yet.

So Archie is dead, as probably Espanto is too. I wonder if they will ever find out Salsero, who I am sure killed Archie too, did it? And where is all the money? He must of kept it for himself without giving Kendho her cut.

The name of Paula's BFF is Gilda not Hilda.

I loved it when Nikki was listening to Adele on her Ipod and Vladi thought that it was garbage. LOL

Anon 01:33- My bad. It is pronounced like Hilda so assumed it was Hilda, not Gilda. In Spanish I guess they pronounce a G like an H.

I am so glad to be reading your recaps again, Elvira. Love your screen captures, too. Didn't have time to watch the episode but thanks to your comparison to that famous Lucy episode/scene I get the picture. My sisters and I laugh about how many things end up getting compared to Lucy episodes.

Madelaine, love your Kendho name for Kendra. And it looks like Christina may drive Angel into Vicki's arms.
Is Angel supposed to be Vicki's bodyguard when she and Nelson go on their getaway?
Wow. Gilda and Hilda. I'm thinking they are actually the same name.

I feel the same as you all. Elvira, you did a great job. no need to appologize.
loved the recaps too..

Madelaine, i too loved the KendHo name for Kendra. i will use it myself tonight.

I also loved when Vladi told Nicky that Adele was garbage... reminded me of a movie i saw recently with John Cena (think WWE) was a big brother of high school wrestler young man and when he learned the young brother was listening to italian opera while warming up, he just freezes and asks 'who are you??!!'

I too love Polita and Jean Marie, and the possibility of Tomasina rubbing off on Felipe and straightening him out or at least helping him not need more money from Guerito.

sorry meant love the screencaps too.

Elvira, thanks for doing this exceptional recap, despite being so busy. Loved your screenshots...

It was really hard to pick my favorite lines, there were so many. "Christina obliviously trills that Paula and Anibal would make a good couple", "creepy designer stubble guy" and "so vexed and obviously perturbed" (great word!) were excellent.

I'm with you, Madelaine and Marta in loving Polita and Jean Marie. Their roles could easily be caricatures, but the actors are bringing fun, fresh energy and I find myself smiling whenever they are onscreen.

It's amazing Guzman and Bea turned out as they did with their two pathetic parents. At least Felipe realizes who he is and that he needs to change. Whether or not he can do so remains to be seen.

I still don't understand why Hilda/Gilda's existence seems to be supplying Paula with information along with aiding and abetting her in keeping Anibal from his daughter Chrissie. Why is she so loyal to Paula? Friendship only? Seems absurd as Paula only plies her for information and gives nothing back to H/G...

Rulli has a great smile. I keep forgetting that as few can compare with Yanez'. But his reaction to Polita seemed genuine and that smile lit up the room...

I was surprised that Anibal pretended he didn't know Paula (not that I blame him). The white lie is sure to be exposed as his orbit has already intertwined with Chrissie's and she will likely see he and Paula together at some point. I wasn't surprised he raised his hand to Vikki - there's a definite, tyrannical, cold side to him...

Thanks again Elvira.

Diana

Elvira - Thank you for the recap. IT is just the right length for me! No apologies needed, at all.

" Lots of drama around the toilet bowl. Must see TV!"
Okay. This one has me guffawing.
BwaHahahahaaaaa.

I was a little surprised Anibal acted like Paula is a stranger. WHAT is going to happen when Crissy visits Paula and 'AnyBalls?' opens the door?

I don't like and do not trust AnyBalls?, because he wears those dark glasses indoors, just like DWS(DancesWithSunglasses).
It is said that the eyes are the window to the soul. These two jerks keep theirs covered up to hide their complete lack of a soul.

I absolutely adore Polita. She is awesome fun.

Thanks, Elvira, for a great recap. Your screen shots captured the perfect moments!

I'm impressed with the actress playing Nikki. I think she shows a really vulnerable side when she's having her bouts of bulimia. It makes it easier to take when she's in "brat" mode because we can understand why she's so unhappy. When she shoved all those chocolates in her mouth last night I was like "Wow". I love chocolates more than anyone but I couldn't have crammed that many in my my mouth!

And the actress, Eliza Gonzales, sings the gorgeous Nikki/Guzman love song "Me Puedes Pedir Lo Que Sea" which makes me not mind her annoying voice because it is absolutely beautiful when she's singing.

I have to admit, I was half watching this show but it is definitely pulling me in. Especially the Nikki/Guzman romance.

Thanks again, Elvira!

Katy

Thanks, Elvira. I tried to post a comment yesterday, but it didn't appear. I was ''vexed'' to watch that daisy chain of possible STDs unfold the other night : Miss Vikki getting busy with pathetic Nel-SONE who has been busy with Slutty McSlutterson who ,in turn, has been busy with Dances with Sunglasses. Bleeeccchhhh. Poor innocent Miss Vikki. I agree that Chris getting cranky with Big Angel is not the route to take if she wants to keep him for herself. I think that she would have been wise to keep him home and cozy and contento in her bed. As for orchids, I have no luck with them. I got a gorgeous one from my daughter's exfiance a few years ago, and I think I killed it with too much care...too much water. Before that , I got an orchid from my mother-in-law. I put it on a sunny windowsill and neglected it a bit and was rewarded with twin corsagelike white orchids with purple tongues. I was so thrilled that...I killed it with kindness.

Elvira - fab recap. "Lots of drama around the toilet bowl" - lol.

Nikki was towering over everybody last night. She must've been wearing 6-inch heels.

Yay, at last someone knows about Nikki's AN. Go, Guzman! I can't stand to see Nikki wolf down candy, much less get near a bathroom.

Ah Cristina. She needs to give herself a good smack to the head.

Anibal is a big mystery. Why would he have been so mean to Adriana?

Hope Polita and Guzman really do go out. That would be a hoot.

I'm sure Lili still has the job. Vicki won't pay attention to Nikki's silliness. But Lili, with her self-confidence, makes Nikki feel even more insecure. And there's the rivalry for Guzman.

JA was so cute when he immediately stepped away and looked on when Vicki asked Guzman what happened between him and Nikki.

Elvira,

Many thanks! Terrific; loved the screen caps. I had missed the exchange between Anibal & Vicky
with regard to flaunting his mistress. This is rather perplexing to me now. In light of that conversation and common sense, it doesn't seem that he would keep Paula hiding in an apartment for 20 years. They must have gone out to dinner in full view of friends and also gone on trips etc. Many people in the building would see them as a couple as well. Why does he deny their relationship in front of Chrissie unless he senses a special closeness with her (i.e. the call of the blood) and he does not want to admit this relationship to Chrissie who is actually almost a total stranger?
He is definitely a controlling, egotistical power-driven, hypocrite ..with a few soft spots
for people like Vicky, Nikki, Christina, and Liliana.

Great job, Elvira!

Elvira- Wonderful recap and pics. The one with Nicki and Lili is particularly funny because of how much Nick towers over tiny Lili. LOL!

So glad Guzman knows about Nick's eating disorder. I think he's suspected for a while. He saw Vlad give her the box of chocolates, so I think he was purposely looking for them when he entered her room. Seeing the empty wrappers just confirmed his suspicions. Now comes the hard part-- trying to help her. You can't really help a person with an eating disorder unless they want to help themselves. The question is, will he tell Vicky or anyone else about it? If he does, Nick will see it as a betrayal.

Vicky brought up that Anibal brought her and Adriana up to be different than their mother-- a woman with no career, whose only job was to take care of her family, and who let her husband cheat on her. That's what nearly got her slapped by Daddy Dearest. Seems Anibal doesn't like to have his sins thrown in his face. I'm still not sure why he and Paula denied knowing each other, unless they both sense that the info could somehow get back to Vicky, via JA from Cris. They both know Cris's hubby works for Vicky. Of course, Paula also has her own additional reasons for not wanting more people to potentially connect the dots about her relationship with that family, and the people who work from them (her son).

"Seems Anibal doesn't like to have his sins thrown in his face. "
Vivi in DC - You are so right! Lots of people are like this in real life.

One of the things I like about this telenovela is that no one character is really over-the-top. They each exhibit real-life traits of normal people and are all really quite believable.

Marta- You can use the Kendho anytime. Someone the other day used Kendrho, but I liked the Kendho better :)

Emarie-That would be funny about if Angel is the bodyguard on this little trip of Nelson and Ms Vikki. I can't wait to see that.

OT- kind of. I was reading the ratings for this TN and it had the highest rating ever for a premeiring TN. It was higher than STUD and Amor Real when it premiered. Amazing.

Hi Elvira! I don't think you need to apologize for your "phone in" recaps anymore. They are very good. More than enough for sure. You should just keep doing them like this. Doing the recap from memory is just fine - absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I really enjoyed this one and thanks for capturing the scene with Guzmancito grinning at Polita's spatula singing. That was precious. And what a smile Rulli can turn on - dang!

I'm still chuckling over Jean Marie's shiny mauve satin pajamas with matching night cap LOL!

Thank you---Great recap Elvira, Short and to the point---very effective.

Polita and Jean Marie are a hoot. A lot of novelas need a character or a couple of characters to lighten things up a bit and these two are perfect.

Niecie in MD. ITA---Lili is sure of herself, self cofconfident and oh sooo sweet. Nikki, on the other hand is spoiled, lacks self confidence and is indeed, even with riches all around her, insecure.

Confused! Is Adriana Anibal's daughter? Also, who is Adrianais husband? And last, who is the child son/daughter that Adriana is looking for? I've been watching but these have gotten by me.

I agree with many of you that Chrissi should throw a little more honey in Angels direction but I also know that many women have a HUGE jealousy streak deep down within them when they so much as think that something "might" be happening. Judging from the intro--it may just be a tease--it looks as though if Chrissi wants to keep her man, she is going to have to fight for him.
the gringo

Gringo- to answer your question about Adriana. Yes, Adriana is Anibal's daughter. She hates him because she had a baby, I suspect she wasn't married, but we don't know for sure about that. Anyhoo, Anibal told her the baby had died, when in fact, it seems he was instrumental in giving the baby away I think. Her padrino, Antonio, Anibal's BFF confirmed her baby is alive, but he doesn't know where. For this she hates Anibal and I suspect there are other things she hates him for too. So now she is looking for her daughter. Hope this answers your question.

Gringo- Yes, Adriana is Anibal's youngest daughter, and Vicky's little sister. None of them know of Cris's connection to them at this point.

Adriana has been living in Europe and is a famous photographer. It has been made clear that she is estranged from Anibal, but we didn't/don't know all the reasons for this. We do know that both Adriana and Vicky are not happy with the fact that their dad has been shacking up for 20 years with the woman who was his mistress then their mother was alive. But this was not enough reason for Vicky to totally break her relationship with Anibal, so we don't really know what all the reasons are for Adriana's hatred of her father.

Just in the days since she's returned to Mexico, we learned that she had a baby girl some time ago (we don't know how long ago) and that she thought she was dead, and Adriana learned from her godfather that the baby did NOT die and that Anibal was the one who created the farce of the baby's death and sent the baby off somewhere. So now Adriana has even more reasons to hate her father, on top of the mysterious reasons she had before.

She does seem to love her sister and niece, but is reluctant to get in touch with them for fear they will tell Anibal she's back in Mexico.

About the cheating Anibal. I wonder if the girls, Ms Vikki and Adriana knew about Candelaria, but of course not about Chrissie. Anibal and Antonio were talking about Candelaria in a previous epi and we know that Candelaria nursed Pilar, the dead Mama of Adriana and Ms Vikki, and she just up and disappeared one day. And that Anibal was carrying on with her, way before Paula. So I wonder if Ms Vikki was referring to that besides Paula?

Elvira, I love your "phoning it in" recaps! :)

Please, add me to the Jean Marie and Polita fanclub.

Doris: "One of the things I like about this telenovela is that no one character is really over-the-top. "

I agree. Well, Dances with Sunglasses and Kendra may be cardboard villains, but believe me, their storylines will become much more interesting and complicated later. Nowadays I'm looking forward to the Salsero scenes.
And Papa Aníbal is a very intriguing character. Rocha (who has one of the best voices ever) is very lucky for getting this role.

Katy: I used to fastforward the Nikki/Guzmán scenes (not that I don't like Sebastián but I'm more into Arriaga and Vic), but these two slowly grew on me.
And I really don't get why many people say Eiza is a horrible actress. I find her acting good enough for a telenovela and yes, she has a lovely singing voice.

Madelaine: fortunately the show has good ratings in Mexico and in the US. (On the other hand, in other countries the audience isn't that mad about it because they have seen the previous three versions 1000x times. But the Mexican and American numbers are the ones that really count.)

Vivi and Madelaine---Thanks for your help.
the gringo

Thanks Elvira...excellent recap and great pix.

I'm confused about the bad guys. Did Salsero whack both Espanto and Archie and end up with all the money?

I get such a kick out of Nikki and now she's breaking my heart with these sessions of gorging. Not pretty... not fun... not funny. If only she'd recognize the resources surrounding her... Polita and Jean Marie... good eats and good company. They adore her. She needs to ditch her shallow Mexi-trash pals...then she and Lilli could make such a great saucy team. Of course custody of Guzmancito presents a problem.

A word or two about Polita. She has beautiful facial features, flawless skin, a dynamite personality, and a ton (sorry) of energy. She and Guzman will have a blast.

Carlos

Carlos- Polita also has a great voice! I would love to hang out with her.

I agree Vivi. So who was she channeling with that song? I guessed Paulina Rubio. I'm not familiar with that song, though, so maybe Shakira?

Carlos

Does the polita actress have any relationship with Jose Luis Rodriguez (El Puma)? i know she is not Liliana (the older one) or Genesis but are there any more daughters out there?

Doris, totally agree on
" Lots of drama around the toilet bowl. Must see TV!"
that would have been my fav quote of the recap if i posted any.

I was a little surprised Anibal acted like Paula is a stranger. (me too).

loved 'Anyballs' too, have to use that too. Also ITA that he does not like people throwing his past skeletons/dirty dishes at his face.

Katy,
I also totally agree on
"... the actress, Eliza Gonzales, sings the gorgeous Nikki/Guzman love song "Me Puedes Pedir Lo Que Sea" which makes me not mind her annoying voice because it is absolutely beautiful when she's singing."
yeah her annoying voice and her annoying attitude and eating disorder as a way to cope with loneliness (but i am not sure that her mother ignores her that much, might be more like Nicky does not think her mother's attempts to be caring and close to her are what she needs so she shuts herself in a shell-like bubble and resorts to eating disorder as a way to exteriorize her loneliness/misunderstood feelings)

Elvira, thanks for a good job. I started this tn from the beginning and I am loving it. I like Nikki, (Ms. Oooookay) and Guzmancito(Gorilla) chemistry. Chrissie and Lili are both clingy and clutchy wife and daughter to JA and although they're too loving, I think it's almost over the top. I love polita nad Jean Marie, they're hilarious. I am afraid of Ja and Vickie's attraction to each other. I don't know how to justify if they finally surrender to this attraction.

Madelaine- I also suspect that Adriana was not married when she got pregnant. I can't think of any other reason why Anibal would want to get rid of the baby.

As much as I think I want Liliana and Guzman to get together, I can see that he is so falling for Nikki. The scenes between Liliana and Guzman are sweet, but I wonder if he'll start to think of himself as her tio.

Anibal is so strange to me. Why conceal his relationship with Paula from Christina? He can't be too worried that news of her will get back to Vikki- she already knows about Paula. I would assume that she knows that they live together, though I'm sure she doesn't want to think about it. Also, I don't care how much Anibal hates having his dirty laundry shoved in his face, he had better not slap Victoria!!
