Amor Bravío #91 (Uni 86) Tue 12/25/12 Feliz Navidad! There’s still time to get your personally engraved Acme Anvils and have them ready for Día de los Reyes!
Labels: bravio
Augustina is headed for some severe humiliation and pain down the road. I am also hitting the point of having no pity for her in her willingness to be deceived.
Here is hoping that Mariano backs off and spares himself more pain.
More later.
I hope whoever lives is not horribly burned (i.e. like Barbara Greco in MEPS). I think that would be excessive punishment for either Alonso or Xi.
Major beanie moment, I think the first real one I've had with this TN. The signing over the property to Al issue is so farfetched, I'm pulling my beanie down to my toes.
So they are leaving us with a cliff hanger of the greatest magnitude. I am praying it's Al who is still alive and signs over the property back to Dan.
I don't want to watch Cam liking Dion. I don't need to watch that.
I don't want to see Aggie defending her man and coming up with excuses for him, even though I knew she would do that and said so yesterday.
I don't want to watch Mariano tell Cam he loves her when he knows she loves Dan.
Would someone please look at Cam's clothes to see where that material came from and not just trust Dion here?
I don't need to see Natalia being mistreated by Yago again. Yawn.
Ok, I wouldn't mind seeing Cayatonto fawning over Isa and Isa slowly informing him of his wife's indiscretion.
Thank you Paquita, and you Urban, for providing us such wonderfully detailed recaps over the holiday. You ladies went above and beyond.
As for the epi, Cathyx there were many good moments and it was a cliffhanger for sure. I wouldn't miss it.
Considering he's the one who took off his seatbelt, I'm betting it was Al who got thrown from the car. Plus, Xi no longer serves a purpose, while there is MUCH unfinished biz with Al.
The deal with the transfer of the MQ to Al is that the Justice League did not make a legal complaint BEFORE they did it. Therefor it's legal and Al (or Isa when/if he dies) can claim it. The gang didn't report the crime, so it's their fault-- really Dan's. It doesn't matter if he's a criminal. Being a criminal doesn't exclude you from owning land. Just like Dan could claim MQ while being a criminal on the run.
Now, for the parts of the episode I enjoyed or made me laugh:
-The way Gussy makes the country Chile sound like a curse word when she says it to Dan.
-Gussy's complete cluelessness as Dio creepily says he wants Cami to always be by his side. Eeeeww is right! Such a good thing Cami and Xi aren't young girls with a pedophile stepdad.
-Cami and Vivi hugging in the hospial room.
-Cami admitting she is naive and tonta after hearing Dio's weak story about finding her.
Really, I enjoyed all of the Cam and Dan moments, even their argument about her being too forgiving and trusting. She was right that Dan benefitted from that. But he was right too, and she quickly admitted her error, which was good.
I loved all the smooching scenes. I notice that CdlF often seems to get overheated in these close 1-on-1 scenes with SN, and he sweats. Instead of cutting the scene to powder him down, SN just wipes the sweat off his brow or upper lip and goes on with the kissing and canoodling scene naturally. It's a nice touch, and a very intimate gesture. I've noticed it a few other times before during their scenes.
I notice in the dreams that they appear to be running towards each other, even as they are running away from some horrible bloody scene. Will they both eventually have a dream where they find each other along that road?
Although Gussy annoyed me with her attitude this episode, I can't help but feel bad for her because I'm sure it's going to be Xi who ends up dead. This will be a huge blow for Gussy. We also saw the reason why it was wise to keep her in the dark till now-- she tells Dio EVERYTHING. She's not to be trusted.
I understand what they are saying about the signing over the property rights. I just don't buy it that it's as impenetrable as they are making it out to be. Police report or no. There are so many witnesses and goings on about what happened that to claim that because there is no police report filed that it will hold up as true is ridiculous. Kidnappers never want you to get the police involved if you want your loved one returned. So of course they won't report it to the police.
Ah, but Cathyx, you would miss some really tender scenes between Dan & Cam, as well as Dan trying to get her to accept Dio's perverse interest in her and his base evilness. The parts you have to close your eyes for are few.
I'm with you over the signing over the rancho. However at the time Os and Dan were talking about it, they didn't know Al had been in an accident. So technically he still has the signed papers. I'm surprised that both Al and Xi weren't burned to a crisp after that fabulous flaming explosion at the bottom of the cliff. Ok, beanie time after all, who parks their car facing the edge of a cliff with no guardrail when they only pulled off the road to argue--they would have been parallel to the road.
Pet Peeve: I'm getting increasingly annoyed by the changing color of Camila's hair. In the first hospital scene it was really dark, like at the beginning of the tn. Then the lighting makes it look lighter and that's how I like it on her. This goes on a lot in this episode, dark, then light. (Yes, I'm aware, like in any good movie, they do scenes out of sequence--I wonder if it was Silvia who insisted her hair get lighter as it went on.) Very small detail, but it's enough for me to grab my beanie, in an otherwise beanie-free novela.
I did like seeing Daniel playing with her hair during their scenes in the hospital.
Loved Dion's facial gesticulations while pretending to be incensed by Big Don Dan's accusations. Dion is as good an actor as Cesar!!
Mariano's crossed over the line now. Unbelievable that he would confess his love and (in his gentlemanly way) trash-talk Dan to Camila right after her ordeal. And he used too much logic on why they would be good together. Logic has nothing to do with it.
If Al is the survivor, he's going to have a tough time making it out of a hospital alive. He has 0 allies, and Mommy Dearest would have free reign to visit him and use her pillow skills.
Nat hiding between cars after being tossed out in mid-smooch by Yago when his brothers showed up - my only laugh of the night. Girl, where is your dignity?
When I referred to whack job villains in one of my previous posts, I meant sociopaths. Isa is one of the worst I’ve seen. She not only has no conscience or feelings of remorse. She’s gleeful about killing (shudder!!!)
So Al technically owns La Malquerida. Which means that Isa now owns La Malquerida—unless Al is the body thrown clear, which makes sense, since his seatbelt was undone, like people have commented before.
Cayetano going to get what he deserves, fool.
Viewerville knows that Cam and Dan are destined to be together. What Mariano sees is a man who deceived her once and will likely do so again. I’m glad he admitted his feelings for her. I think he took the opportunity when he did, because she almost died and she would never have known how he felt like he needed her to know that.
Vivi: I also noticed the wiping of sweat off of Dan’s face.
Anita: I thought SN’s hair looked darker in those hospital scenes. I thought it might be the lighting. It looked like the ends were a lot darker than the top.
I am totally confused about the transfer of the rancho. Dan never saw Al and never gave him the transfer. Sort of like, making out a check but never mailing it. So the only way this would be legal is if the deed was filed with the equivalent of Property Records in the U.S. I also think both parties would have to sign. I guess Isa could sign them as Al's heir, if Al is truly chicharrones along with Xi. I too agree that Xi serves no purpose and is now gone.
I don't feel the least bit sorry for Augustina. She is so blind and refuses to see, she deserves to suffer.

ITA about Cayetano. I'll add that Rocio is also getting what she deserves. He's a fool, and she's a hypocritical snob.
Osvaldo and Rafael could certainly go into court testifying that Dan was under duress to hand over the property. We can only hope that Hissadora doesn't have an opportunity to seduce the judge.
And thank you Paquita delB for a fabulous recap.
Now that Mariano has confessed his love to Camila (unsuccessfully) he'll have no choice but to move on. I admit he was getting on my nerves.
I loved the part where Leoncio was getting told off by the prison guy for raping Luzma. He is a pig.
Camila was right about the predestination part, she and Daniel are meant to be together. They were meant to be together. SN and CdlF act out their parts so brilliantly.
As to what proof anyone needs now about El Diablo's involvement? Francisco saw her kissing the Devil. That is something he has yet to tell someone.
Even though Dan did not hand over any documents to Al, the documents were still filed legally-- they still exist in the legal universe. I think Osvaldo said that all Al has to do is get himself to a notary to get a copy of the docs to claim the property. So it's not like Dan wrote a check and never sent it. It's like Dan wrote a check, sent it, and now has to hope Al doesn't cash it, that they can convince him not to cash it, or can force him to return it.
“Transferring land in Mexico is normally a very easy process. If your father has clear title to the land, the transfer should only take 2 or 3 days. Yes, you can do it without going to Mexico. To do this, both you and your father should have to have a "Poder Notarial" issued by the Mexican Consulate. All property in Mexico is transferred by a special lawyer called a "Notario Publico". (Not to be confused with the US version of the Notary Public.)”
More info on Mexican Notary Publics (Osvaldo’s job):
In Mexico, the ONLY authority permitted to draft a deed transferring real property or an interest in real property is the Mexican Notary Public. This person is different from a notary public in the United States where a simple exam, a bond, and a rubber stamp can make a notary public out of most people. Nor is it similar to Canada’s Notary Public who must meet a few more stringent requirements to qualify. Not so many, however as the Mexican Notary.
The Notary Public in Mexico must be an attorney, must have a minimum of five years of practical experience in the profession, must pass a highly technical examination and then be appointed as a Notary Public by the Governor of the state in which he or she is working.
The number of Notaries Public depends upon the number of people in the state. A new Notary is appointed only as the population grows above a certain number.
The Mexican Notary Public has many duties, but one of the most important is the drafting of deeds for transfer of real property. Anytime a signature is required on a deed of transfer it must be made before the Mexican Notary Public.
And that's just my opinion, I have not seen ahead.

Loved "Cayetantonto" and "El LeonCerdosinLengua." Also "Then, he left the basket of cookies for Granma…….oops sorry, wrong fairytale."
Speaking of "El LeonCerdosinLengua," I'm afraid you're right when you say "I think everyone in Viewerville agrees this means he’s going to escape." As if there weren't already enough desgraciados running around.
Another thing I worry about is Natalia. Geez, girl, part of being a secret agent is keeping it SECRET, especially from an untrustworthy scumbag like Yago.
Cathyx, ITA about Camila's baby talk to Dan (and his to her). ¡Basta ya!
I'm still puzzled about our bull-headed Cami changing her mind about Dions culpability. And that business about a piece of cloth under a rock. Not getting this. Sorry to be such a pain. Anybody?
This week:
"that Anvil’s gonna hurt a whole lot more, dude!"
"Agustina is angustiada!"
When I read "A born seducer (seductor nato); an incorrigible womanizer" I start to wonder. Hmmm. Are we sure Yago wasn't the milkman's or does he really take after Rocio, maybe? His pops is way too Mariano-ish and laid back.
Osvaldo apparently did all the paperwork behind the scenes. He handed Daniel the documents in a manila envelope which Dan had in his hands when he revealed himself to the folks in the living room. I tend to believe that Al's signature has to be ON those documents somewhere for it to be legal. However, since this is only a tn (this IS only a tn...only a tn...a tn), then we have to take Osvaldo's word that the transfer is already in the hopper and only Al's willingness to tear it up or give the ranch back will do.
Mama Kimodo had better hurry if she wants to get her hands on the ranch. Boy will Cayetano be surprised if she does!

And thanks to all of you for explaining the legal gymnastics regarding the MQ ranch deed.
I'm sure that since Alonzo survived we're going to be entertained ad nauseum with legal entanglements with the ranch.
I'm hoping that Isa gets her hands on Cayetano's ranch just long enough to expose him for being a sucker for a young attractive woman.
A few random comments and questions:
All I noticed about Camila’s hair is that it was magicallly fluffed and styled from the braided ‘do she had when kidnapped. Did they let her shower and give her a blow drier when she checked into the hospital? And how come they have never let me do that when I show up at a hospital? Also, I thought she looked even more gorgeous than usual in her hospital bed. How come I would look like a starved rat if I have just been kidnapped and abused for a couple of days? And how come she is hospitalized at all, other than as an in-your-face plot device?
Isa. That necklace is a fashion no-no IMHO, but I did like the coat she was wearing for the double murder. If it were me, I would have a hard time dressing for that occasion.
Major production foul up re. Isa’s vehicle. She most definitely left the ranch in a sedan and than magically was driving a SUV to push around Alonso’s rather beefy SUV. Must have been some kind of TN pixie dust or something.
Major police boo boo trampling all over the tire track evidence and hoof prints of Isa at the cliff top murder scene. Unless that TN pixie dust also does body work, the front end of that SUV would be pretty dented in, too. Have the these cops ever watched CSI?
Is it possible that the bolsa with the cell phone records in it survived the crash and burn? Was it thrown clear along with Al? He was grabbing the purse from Xi just before they went over the cliff. It could be returned to next of kin and Cam-n-Dan could find the papers. It seems too big of a deal was made of exactly where the papers were or them to just burn up.
Does that ambulance guy with the curly hair ever get a day off? He’s been on every (I think) collection run this crew has needed (and there have been quite a few). Really. I am pretty sure of this. At least he got a couple of lines this time.
Does Gussy remind anyone else of Edith Bunker?
And last but not least, when is that hay barn with the candle left burning in it going to burst into flames?
