Amor Bravío #114 (Uni 109) Mon 1/28/13 Special Edition

Capitulo 114:   XABE, Aculco Morning News presents
Live Coverage of Local Society Wedding

TV Studio:

Juan (at anchor desk, in a suit and tie):    Buenas dias, amigos. This is Juan Manuel Montes live from XABE Studios in Aculco. Last night we reported that Don Vicente Fernández was seen at La Malquerida, the most prominent ganaderia in our area, with his mariachi orchestra. It has been confirmed that he provided a pre-wedding serenade for the bridal couple, Daniel Diaz Acosta and Camila Monterde, the owners of the ranch. Señor Diaz Acosta, formerly of Santiago de Chile, was dressed in a champagne-colored traje de charro and holding a large bouquet of red roses as he awaited his busy fiancée in the courtyard. It will not surprise any of our viewers that she was delighted with this grand surprise as Don Vicente informed her he had invited himself with the approval of the proud groom. The occasion was also commemorated with fireworks. This is a surprise many brides only dream of. (looks at the monitor briefly, where we see grazing bulls [¡Salud!]) We now bring you to Soledad Santibañez, who will be reporting live from the wedding.

Chapel Interior:

Soledad (dressed as a guest, holding a microphone):   Gracias, Juan. It's a beautiful day in Aculco with bright sunshine, not a cloud in the sky, and a perfect day for a wedding. I'm standing in the chapel as two of La Malquerida's employees are preparing for the ceremony. After several serious legal problems concerning the ownership of La Malquerida, we can only appreciate the excitement of the coming events. Let's interview them. (approaches Piedad) So you must be very excited that your employers are getting married today.
Piedad:  Ay, how exciting it was to have Don Cente Fernandez here last night! I was listening from my room and I still almost can't believe it!
Hipolito (to Piedad): I'm sure you'd love a surprise like that, too.  Why are you so difficult, Piedad? (his remaining comments not audible)
Soledad:   Let's leave them to their work as we go outside.

(steps into the courtyard where Rodolfo is directing the others in the table placements. There are pink table runners over white tablecloths and pink bows on the backs of the chairs.)

Soledad:    Here we see the capetaz supervising the setup, which should be completed shortly. All the employees of La Malquerida are here today to celebrate what everyone believes will be a new beginning for this great ranch. My colleague, Marisol Vergara, is in town where the bride is preparing for the big day. Marisol?

Viviana's Apartment, Bedroom:

Marisol (also well-dressed, with a mike):   We are with the bride and her best friend, award-winning photographer Viviana del Valle, who is trying to get her to stay still long enough to have her hair done. They also have been talking about the serenade of last night. This appears to have had a magical effect on the day. Something this Beautiful Couple needs in view of rumors that her mother does not approve of the match. Let's eavesdrop a little on their conversation.

Camila:   I never thought I would love again that intensely but when I met Daniel. .. Ay, it's a love that's indescribable.
Viviana (to Camila):   That's how love is... indescribable. (Camila stops her pinning her hair and gets up to shake out her hands).
Marisol:  Perhaps we should leave them to their task, as we did promise not to show the dress before the bride arrives at the chapel. Back to you, Juan.

Studio:

Juan (monitor behind him shows Daniel, Aaron, and Rafael):   We've arranged a live connexion to the study at the cabaña at La Malquerida where the groom is preparing for the big day in the company of his friends, one of whom is author Rafael Quintana. Let's have a look. (turns toward monitor on rear wall)

Daniel:   Calm down? What, you think I'm nervous? (fixes his belt) I didn't tell you yet but I dreamed about Miriam; that she had our baby. I don't know but I somehow feel like she's still present in my life, looking after me, encouraging me to marry Camila.
Rafael:   Love relationships are always different and when I knew you and Miriam in Chile I always thought you were a couple who would be together for life.
Aaron:  That's how it was, Rafa. (helps Daniel on with his vest) That love endured while Miriam was here in this world. Now, Daniel has been given the opportunity to love Camila just as much as he did Miriam back in the day. (picks up the jacket)
Daniel (buttoning the vest):   I've been given a second chance and I'm taking it. After two tragic weddings nothing pleases my in-laws. The first ones don't want me; Doña Augustina doesn't like me, either. (Rafael helps him on with the tie)
Aaron:   That will change when she realizes your only intention was to protect her from Dionicio. She'll like you as much or more than before you and Camila were engaged.
Rafael:  Do you realize this is the first time you're marrying in your original religion?
Daniel (while putting on the jacket): That would make my mother very happy and besides, I'm marrying the niece of the man she always loved. And I'm dressing as a charro, as he did. (puts handkerchief in breast pocket as Aaron picks up the hat)
Rafael:   Shouldn't we be on the way to the chapel?
Daniel:  I don't want to keep Camila waiting.
Rafael:  A photo? We have to take a photo.

(They all agree as Rafael takes out his cell phone and photographs them together.)

Studio:

Juan:   Soledad, Marisol, I wish you could see the groom now; he is making our lady viewers very happy in his black and silver traje de charro. If you heard their conversation you got confirmation on the disapproval of Camila's mother and stepfather. Is that possibly why Señora Ferrer was not present at the vesture of the bride?
Marisol (heard on studio equipment as her name is supered below the desk):   Yes, Juan. She was not invited to it for that reason. The bridal shop owner said she didn't even accompany the bride into the store. I have been told she was even annoyed at the serenade and she absolutely believes that this marriage will be a failure. If she appears at the wedding at all it will be merely out of courtesy or for the sake of public opinion.
Juan:   Ah, I'm sure there is more to that than meets the eye. I'd also like to hear more about the groom's first wife. Perhaps we'll know more later. Right now, let's catch up with Soledad at the church.

Chapel Exterior, Courtyard of La Malquerida:

Soledad:   Gracias, Juan. The guests are all gathering now waiting for the bride's entrance. On the steps of the church are Piedad Martinez and the chauffeur, Hipolito, whom we saw earlier. The girl in the wheelchair is Luz Maria, the daughter of Piedad. We've not been able to find out exactly why she is in the wheelchair, but that she and her new husband had to return prematurely from their honeymoon. He is none other than Pablo Albarrán, the youngest son of Don Cayetano, owner of La Buenaventura.
Juan (heard, but not seen):    That definitely created quite a sensation in the town last week.
Soledad:  Yes, it did, We don't anticipate any mishaps today. (Camera pans to area below the church steps). Here we see Señorita del Valle arriving with Rafael Quintana. It appears they have another role to play in the wedding.
Marisol (heard but not seen):   Yes, Soledad. They are an item, I've been told.
Soledad:  This gets more interesting by the moment. Now we see Padre Anselmo Medrano, who will be performing the ceremony, standing next to the impatient groom. Juan, you were right; the groom is as handsome as a fairy tale prince. And now we see the parents of the bride. Señora Ferrer is dressed in matronly lilac and lavender, but very elegant, with earrings by Aphrodite Jewels of New York. She doesn't look very happy, though. I normally don't speculate why and – quite frankly – I see no legitimate reason for her apparent disapproval.
Marisol (seen quickly behind the wheel of her car):   What about her husband, Señor Ferrer?
Soledad:  If he disapproves as we have heard, he is hiding it well. He just exchanged greetings with Natalia Gutierrez, who once worked for him. She and her mother, the owner of the local hotel, are here as family to the groom. There is Señora Amanda now, in the company of the town's notary. Perhaps they are an item?
Marisol:   Did you just scoop that one on me?
Soledad:  I doubt it. Where are you right now?
Marisol:  I'm following the bridal carriage, so I'll be arriving right behind the bride with my crew.
Soledad:   Excellent. What's puzzling me right now is why nobody else from the Albarrán family is present among the guests. Do you have any thoughts on that?
Marisol:  There have been rumors of marital discord with allegations of adultery. If anyone can come in on that?
Juan (heard but not seen):   I'm hearing from Enrique at the airport that the two older sons are meeting an arriving flight.
Soledad:  Good; it doesn't sound like anything to worry about. (Don Chente sings as the carriage comes into view) And it looks like the bride has arrived. The groom is going out to meet the carriage and assist her down. From what I can see they are very happy, indeed. She definitely likes what she sees.   It makes ordinary men handsome but handsome men look princely.  No wonder so many bridegrooms here like to wear the traje de charro.
Juan:   Most consider it an honor and the sign of a gentleman. I remember the bride's uncle, Don Daniel. He was never seen in anything else. He considered it a display of national pride as well.
Soledad:  And for Señor Diaz Acosta to become a Mexican citizen and to wear the traje de charro at his own wedding is something of a tribute to him as well. Camila Monterde is a lucky woman to have been the niece of the distinguished Don Daniel Monterde and to now marry a man who shows so much respect for that. Oh, now she's getting out of the carriage. That is a lovely dress. Strapless, A-line, with no frills; only a simple shawl.

Marisol:  It suits her perfectly, doesn't it? Simple and elegant, and with her upswept hair it evokes another era. She almost reminds me of the late Princess Grace of Monaco.

Soledad:  I was thinking the very same thing.  She also displays the same elegant composure. Look at how she is greeting her parents as Señorita del Valle comes in for a picture. Señor Ferrer does not look very gracious right now as he watches his wife hand the bouquet to the bride and give her a blessing.
Marisol:   I see what you mean; he does look rather stern.
Soledad:   We'll speculate on that later; it looks like it's time to go in for the ceremony.

(Camera holds position as the ranch hands hold up their sombreros and the mariachi band plays the bridal march and Padre Anselmo enters the chapel. The second crew catches Daniel's entrance into the chapel on the arm of Amanda, followed by Camila holding her bouquet.  Daniel smiles.)

Juan (in studio with his descriptions on the monitor):    Enrique reports that the Albarrans' oldest son is picking his daughter up at the airport.  I'm hearing from Fernando in Metepec that Señora Rocio Albarrán is at the hotel there.  She appears to be having a disagreement with her servant in the hotel lobby.  We hope this is nothing serious.  But let's get back to the wedding.

Chapel:

(The cameras capture the lovely ceremony as Padre Anselmo begins with a sermon on how marriage is not a culmination of love but a new beginning. Obstacles can be overcome to make for a strong and enduring marriage.  When love wins, nothing stands in its way. “Divina tu” is heard. Natalia presents the gold coins to Daniel, who drops them into Camila's hands. Aaron brings forth the rings and they are presented to each other by Daniel and Camila. Finally the knot is placed on them by Rafael and Viviana and they are declared husband and wife.)

(The guests display their feelings about the ceremony.)

Courtyard:

Soledad:  Our Beautiful Couple has just exited the chapel and the guests are following for the party. Señora Ferrer does not look especially pleased while embracing her daughter, a task her husband is taking up. She has not so much as kissed her new son-in-law. The bride does seem uncomfortable with this.  However, look at how enthusiastically Señora Gutierrez congratulates the bride, as though she actually were the mother of the groom.

Marisol:  It looks like the rest of the ranch is more welcoming of this marriage than the mother of the bride.
Soledad:  I see that. And... it looks like we have two late arrivals.

Marisol:   Handsome guy... looks like an old friend of the groom. Do you know the woman who is with him?
Soledad:  I remember her. That's Teresa Medrano, the padre's sister.  Rumor has it she had gone to Chile on an investigation.
Marisol:    I'd love to know what about.
Soledad:  So would I... and many others. But at least it looks like they're here for the bride and groom to share their happiness.

Soledad:   So as the guests applaud the bride and groom the reception begins. They are taking their places at the dais as the groom proposes a toast, thanking the guests for helping them make the day so special. Now Señora Ferrer appears to be leaving the reception early. She seems to be having a difference of opinion with her consuegra, Señora Gutierrez. This does not look good. Marisol, is there any history of past conflict between them?

Marisol:   Maybe she envies Señora Gutierrez' necklace?   No; seriously, Señor Ferrer appears to be the reason for those differences. She is accusing Señora Gutierrez of defaming him. I'm still trying to find out why. Meanwhile the Chilean gentleman – I'd love to know more about him – is visiting with the golden couple while Señorita Medrano is at her brother's table, talking with him and Aaron Quintana. Oh, now she's gotten up and is talking to young Pablo Albarrán.
Soledad:  Yes, she was once involved with his older brother, Mariano.
Marisol:  Look now; it appears that Señor Ferrer is either curious about this Chilean gentleman or actively hostile.

Soledad:   I see. Do we have any real information about him? That would help enormously. Back to you, Juan.

Studio:

Juan:  We'll be right back after the break.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (you knew someone had to say that sooner or later)

La Buenaventura:

Parlour:  Mariano now tells little Ana the bad news that her grandparents have separated.

Parlour (a short while later):  Bratgirl sits in the parlour and becomes annoyed when Iago takes away the TV remote to switch to the news to see if anyone was covering the wedding; he missed the ceremony but might catch it on the late news repeat. At her petulant reaction he chides her over the lack of an invitation by Rodolfo when all the employees of La Malquerida were attending the wedding. She chides him back over Natalia not inviting him, but that has no effect on him. He did not care to be there in view of what is happening with Pablo. He has the last laugh here, for now.

Ana's Bedroom: Mariano has finished his explanation of what has happened with his parents, carefully omitting the core reason for the fight. She asks about Refugio and is told that she will stay with Pablo and Luzma. Ana says that home will not be the same without her.

Avances

Daniel and Camila leave for their honymoon while El Diablo schemes with Abraham Farcas.

Please forgive the re-ordering of events and the vague descriptions of the asides.

Urban- Amazing job! What a treat for us. I really enjoyed your social even reporter theme. And of course, I loved all the pics of the wedding, which was lovely.

Camila's dress was perfect for her-- simple and elegant. Dan looked very handsome in his charro suit. Great love from all their amigos. I had to laugh at the pic of Dio and Gussy in the chapel. They had the most sour faces throughout this episode. I'm glad Gussy at least gave Cami her blessing before entering the chapel. It meant a lot to Cam. If only Gussy knew why Dio is so miffed about Cami marrying Dan. I even felt like a shower after he gave Cami that hug. She looked so grossed out.

On the plus side, Gussy looked fabulous! The best she's ever looked. Amanda looked really elegant too in her pants suit.

Glad to see sexy Dante in Mexico. Did you notice how he and Teresa stood with their arms around each other? Hmmmmmm...

Thanks again Urban. Since it was really all about the wedding, I don't think we missed much by not having your usual details and dialogue. By tomorrow, Gato Viejo's transcript should be up for anyone who wants to see more details of the dialogue: http://users.frii.com/markzimm/ambrav/latest

Wow!! What a marvellous recap, UA, though "recap" doesn't do it justice. I loved it!

Where did you find that photo of Princess Grace? The resemblance really is striking.

Of course, your TV reporters couldn't see inside Camila's head, but one of my favorite scenes was Camila's memory of her discussion with Don Dan about the traje de charo. I had understood that Daniel was in part paying homage to Don Dan, but that scene helped me better understand the significance of the traje de charro in Mexican culture.

It's too bad that the TV reporters weren't privy to the avances. I'd love to know what Dionisio said at the end about Camila. Whatever it was, it didn't bode well.

I think he said something sarcastic about her being happy.

Camila was as grossed out as we have been over this. I didn't give the conversation between Augustina and Amanda because we've heard it all several times over. Also the equivalent one between El Diablo and Becerra.

Juanita, I just googled for pictures of Grace Kelly. I knew her wedding pictures wouldn't have been right because she had sleeves and a major veil, so I was hoping for a similar dress and/or facial expression.

UA this was great. Your reporter theme and their observations were quite fun. Cam's dress was perfect and Dan looked great too.

Well we got through the wedding and now the Devil decides to contact Abe. I don't see how anything good can come from that phone call. I hope our novios can have a full honeymoon before things go south.

Oh, lawdy, I'm in a swoon and I haven't even gotten to the end of the report. Truly fine coverage. Gracias, XABE. El Principe Azul got his Princessa mas bella del mundo and we're off to swoon again.

I'm so glad that they actually got married!!!! Thank you for the recap since I'm not in an area that is airing the show right now. I was afraid that something would go wrong and that they wouldn't be able to be husband and wife.

Thanks so much for the recap and the pictures!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, UA for a very fun and creative recap!

I enjoyed this episode, but I am such a sucker for weddings and Dante.

BREAKING!! What about Isa and Cayetano?!? Not even a hint?!? So now most of the day has passed and we aren't going to know what they did. They don't usually go backwards in time to show what has happened to others.

Ok, I had to get that out first. Great recap UA. I liked the reporter angle. It showcased what a sordid tale we have as they reported on the speculations of the cast. And I loved the picture scroll of all the happy attendees and then the last one with Dion and Aggie not happy at all.

Dion sure made Cam uncomfortable with his congratulation hug. She squirmed away from him.

I was happy that they actually got married too. Phew.

Cathyx- I don't think anything happened with Caye and Isa after she gave him a little peek at the goodies. She doesn't need to. As she texted Dio, the man is drooling for her. She's got him just where she wants to-- no need to pull out the big guns (sex).

Well, couldn't they at least show us the followthrough? I wanted to see what happened. Even more than the wedding. Sheesh.

I love that Cami walked herself down the aisle, and with so much confidence.

I may have no right to say this because I'm a solterona who will never marry, but it really annoys me that most weddings still retain the "giving away" of the bride as though she were property instead of a person. I don't know if having the groom's parents escort him down the aisle makes up for that or if it still makes the point that the bride and groom are not full adults.

As for Hissadora and Cayetano, I'm sure the rest of this week will provide at least part of that answer.

I loved Cami's dress, with that embroidered detail. Although I thought her shoulders looked a little skeletal. In her usual wardrobe she just looks svelte, and even in the love scenes I never noticed her looking quite so thin. But I heard that even Princess Kate dieted before her wedding! Did anybody else notice how Camila was playing with her shawl? I liked when she threw an end over each shoulder, creating a halter.

Urban, I see what you mean about "giving away the bride." Although the concept of transferring responsibility of care from father to husband is pretty out-moded in this day and age, and in the case of Cami and Dan, who have comieron la torta muchas veces! Another spin to put on it can be the conserving of a ritual on a special day, and the chance for somebody who means a lot to the bride to stand up with her and share in something so meaningful. In this case Augustina could have walked with her; a way to conserve a ritual if that's desired, while adapting to the needs at hand. Way to let your daughter down, Auggie!

UA - Delightful, creative recap. Loved the photos.

I too am just happy there was no boda interruptus. Hmmm, so it looks like Teresa and Dante didn't uncover anything different about Miriam or the baby.

Maybe Isadora will have a flashback to teasing Cayetonto. ITA no way did she give him the goodies. Even if they married, I believe she'd find a way to avoid it.

Camila and everybody looked great, but Gussy and Dorotea raised their game. Too bad Gussy was so chilly with Natalia. I guess Frankie is gone for good, but he had a knack for shaking up Gussy. Miss him.

Thank you, UA, for the delightful way you recapped the boda and the wonderful screen shots.

I loved the embroidery on the top of Camila's dress, too, along with the embroidered touch on the bow ties of Daniel and Don Chente.

The actors who play Dio and Agustina really are veterans with considerable skills. The first scenes, where they are getting ready in front of the mirror/camera and complaining about the wedding, are first-rate.

So Dio didn't return Abe's call from Chile because he couldn't be bothered, never stopped to think that there might be more to the story. Not so smart, though he will clearly make up for lost time shortly.

Mariano's blood "boils" when he thinks about Camila and Daniel together. That's a strong emotion for our normally very low-key character, who does indeed wear his heart on his sleeve. Can't wait to see what happens, if anything, with Teresa. Iago's only saving grace seems to be his tender attitude toward Ana.

Rocio is such a snot. No smart reflection on her behavior or attitudes coming yet. I think she may be in the redeemable category or the not-long-for-this-world. Hard to know.

It looks like a week not to be missed.

Yes, good, good that Camila walked herself down that aisle!

Augustina never got over her jealousy of Agatha. It may never matter what hoops Daniel will jump through for her.

In the final analysis she might seriously envy the fact that Camila found a seriously good man who also happens to be smart, gorgeous, and romantically talented.

Teresa and Dante didn't find out anything new. Only that there was no grave they could find and they never found Abraham. Sadly, it looks like El Diablo will look for him.

Thanks, UA, what a clever way to present the wedding. Nicely and smoothly done. The photos are clearly thoughtfully and carefully chosen. Excellent.

I honestly didn't expect the wedding to actually happen.

The detail that caught my eye the most last night was little Ana...she still dresses like a Camila.

Carlos

Interesting point; I noticed that, too. However, I don't see her warming up to Teresa so quickly. She is already disposed toward Camila's way of life; it will take time for her to get over not getting Camila as a stepmother although now she can be an aunt of sorts.

I don't know whether Rocio is redeemable or not. She has a long road to it if so.

El Diablo didn't return Abe's call back then because he was distracted. He didn't remember to and probably didn't think of the possible significance of the call.

The photos of the guests are deliberately ordered as they were because of the contrast of the attitudes of Augustina and El Diablo vs the rest of the guests.

Traveling lady,

"Mariano's blood "boils" when he thinks about Camila and Daniel together."

That caught my attention as well. One could easily imagine those words being uttered by Dionysio.

Dionysio, Augustina, Abraham, and Mariano... not Dan's fans.

Carlos

Mariano missed his opportunity. Had he met Camila two years ago before she had the misfortune to marry Alonso he might have had a chance. He needs to realize that but that won't happen overnight.

Now he will have other stuff to worry about.

Since we have clever writers, I know Mariano's torch for Cam (though really reaching its limit for me) is significant. I'm just speculating but even if Miriam shows up Cam has proven to be unlike other TN heroines and it doesn't seem likely she would get over this potential colossal nightmare by just being with someone else. Mariano would only be an option to keep Dio from sniffing around her and even then I don't think Cam would do that. What do others think?

UA, I thought Mariano had said something to that effect to Pablo(?) not that long ago, that he would have had a chance with Camila if Dan hadn't arrived, but now it would take a miracle (and I agree).

I think rather than jealousy of Agata, Agustina has expressed distain for all women who are sexually active out of wedlock. She also has a huge problem with children born out of wedlock. She reminds me of my own mother in that - a lot.

I think her problem with Daniel is what she said when she learned he was planning to marry Camila and what she said to him back when he was still a chauffer and she first found out he and Cam were lovers. He had just driven her to the church and she said something to him about betraying the trust that had been put in him. That is the same problem Camila had with him, or very similar, when she first found out he was DDA. Mother and daughter share some similar values at least in this one way.

Augustina's problem is also that she pigeon holes people and she doesn't handle changes in people's status very well - her rudeness to Nat and Dan would be examples of that. Camila does not share this trait with her mom at all, and seems to just go with the flow and handle such changes exceptionally well.

Karen, I agree with you. If Mariam is alive and comes back into the picture, how would Dan react? Will he want to pick back up with her? Will he be over her and want to remain with Cam? There is no telling. I guess what I'm saying is, is that it all depends on what Dan does if Miriam appears. I could see that if Dan goes back with Miriam, Camila could, in time, hook up with Mariano. But it would take her a very long time to get over Dan if that were to happen.

Karen I think that since Camila has cried on Mariano's shoulder in the past, she is likely to do it again in the future, if need be.

The other reason Auggie doesn't like Dan is that she thinks he is poisoning Camila against Dio. Nevermind that Cam has never been a fan of Dio, but that's what Auggie thinks.

I had to be up early this morning, so I didn’t watch the ep last night. I just knew I was going to find out that the wedding had been interrupted. So glad—and surprised that it hadn’t been.

What a clever idea, UA, for a recap!!! Thanks for the pics. From what I can see, the dress is gorgeous and exactly what you all were saying—simple and elegant (I see, Vivi, we are in complete agreement), just like Cam.

Have to give a shout out to this line, since it was one of my Dad’s fav: “Meanwhile, back at the ranch”

Niecie: “Maybe Isadora will have a flashback to teasing Cayetonto.”—they have done the flashbacks to fill in info before, especially with Al’s last days.

Here’s hoping Dante doesn’t get his heart broken, if he and Teresa are starting to be an item. What happens when she meets up with Mariano, will those feelings for him reappear?

Karen: it doesn’t seem likely that Cam will do the TN usual and start up with Mariano, if she and Dan are separated. But they keep stresses M’s “obsession” with Cam—so that has to mean something to the plot. Unless it’s a red herring.

Nanette

Even when Cami cried on Mariano's shoulder in the past, it was still as a friend, and only as a friend. Even in her darkest days during her separation from Dan after the truth came out, she never had thoughts of giving things a try with Mariano. I can't see her turning to him romantically. I can see her turning to him as a friend and him once again thinking there's hope.

I hope it is. I'd hate to see Mariano go psycho on us. He is likely to be the only voice of reason in his own family for at least the next 20 episodes.

What I fervently hope doesn't happen is for the authors to lead us down a certain path and do an about-face at the end. I'm thinking of La Esposa Virgen.

Augustina needs a major reality check. Come to think of it, she might be the perfect next wife for Cayetano if he survives Hissadora.

If the writers are cruel, we'll get shots of Cayetonto and Isa introducing themselves interspersed with Cam and Dan's honeymoon.

Did anyone see Martha and Christie as extras--guests at the wedding--they were sitting next to Dio--Martha Carillo had on black pant suits with the white shirt and her signature jet black hair; and Christie was wearing brown--she was less visible.

UA - excellent rendition of last night's epi--love the Grace Kelly pic and reference. Please don't think Esposa Virgen--what a waste of time that was ....

Renata/Myo- Yes, I saw Martha next to Dio, but didn't notice Christie (but I don't think I know what she looks like). What fun for the writers to make a cameo. Now I wonder if they did it in CME. Will Carlos Moreno the producer also make an appearance?

Vivi, they did in CME at the restaurant when Renata sang (Mariachi) to Matias during their short courtship. I could answer about Carlos but I'd be censored ...

Myo-

Myo - that was one of the first scenes I ever watched of CME and I couldn't figure out why she was singing like that to her brother, and then she started kissing him!

UA - what a wonderful wedding gift to US, your adoring followers! I loved this fun format and pictures.

Camila was gorgeous! I loved the elegant simplicity of the dress.

Another live singer! That makes 2 in as many days.

Nanette - You are worrying about Dante's broken heart, but I think it could be fun if the timing were such that Dan chooses Cam over Miriam and Dante goes for her, leaving Teresa to find comfort in Mariano. Perhaps it will be Teresa, and not Camila, crying on his shoulder.

Rosemary la O,

And don't forget the pretty girl who sang at Luzma's and Pablo's wedding a few days ago.

Carlos

So we've had 3 singers in a week! Sweet.

RlaO: I like your scenario.

OT to those Bolly freaks out there: I watched Bones last night and there was an actor on there that reminded me so much of SRK. He could have played his younger brother.

I think Dante is a city boy; I can't see him living on a ranch. It sounds like he might enjoy it as a vacation, but I can't see him living that life.

What the next novela needs is an Argentine hero who can tango.

I think that when Dante first mentioned that he really fell for Miriam but she preferred Daniel, I said something here about everything possibly falling into place: Dan and Cam, Mariano and his former novia Teresa, and Dante and Miriam. Now that Dan and Cam are married, I feel that scenario is even more likely. So yes, I agree with what RlaO has said.

UA wrote: "
What the next novela needs is an Argentine hero who can tango." YES YES YES!!!!! IMHO, being able to tango is the one thing that would make Daniel even more sexy.

Juanita, I'll bet he Tangoed on Dancing With the Stars.

I was thinking that maybe the Caye/Isa/Rocio/Pablo situation will play out a little bit more before we get into the Miriam/baby/Dan/Cam/Dio/Abe thing.

Considering the other prejudices that are getting voiced among these characters I'm sure we'll also end up with some religious bigotry as well.

And if Miriam is alive (how many think she is?) then Daniel and Camila's marriage isn't legally valid. We know what El Diablo will do, then.

Where are those phone records?

Loved the recap!

But I did not care for Camila's hairstyle and wedding dress as much as the rest of Viewerville. I much preferred Luzma's dress. In fact, I think Miriam is going to come into the picture because I think Camila must surely have another, better dress waiting in the wings for the finale. (Just a guess.)

If Miriam turns up alive with baby in tow and the Cam-Dan marriage is null, then Camila is never going to hear the end of it from Augustina. Then Gussie will get her come-uppance when it's revealed that Dios is still married to Amanda. And Amanda won't be able to get married again until things are settled.

I would also love to see a tango, as long as it's authentic, something that you just don't see very much on television. I took lessons for five years and I love the dance.

Aleta

Aleta, I am going to bet that Amanda's marriage to El Diablo is invalid because he contracted it under a false name. He was already involved in criminal activities when he met her and had multiple passports with different names. We have no idea what his real name is.

Camila will not hear the end of this from Augustina and I hope she tosses Gullible Gussie (oh, I hate that name) and her evil husband out on their butts.

CdlF can tango, alright: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXYh12O04WI

Not such great music and not a traditional Argentinian tango and he was injured, but the judges liked it.

Does anyone else want to drink whenever Yago oogles a woman? I think I might need to and would love the company. He really was checking out the flight attendant who escorted Ana to Mariano.

Thanks again, UA. The reportaje was super-delicious and the photos just added to the reminiscences (of what, 18 hours ago....I'm an incurable romantic) Lovely, lovely dress. I noticed that the embroidered band across the bust was very tight, it made her look a little bony, but that's minor.

Everyone was dressed beautifully--except, and I wonder why, Natalia. What was that black thinggy she wore over what looked like an elegant grey dress. It made her look so top heavy.

I continue to marvel at how at ease Silvia and Cristian are with each other--so many little touches they didn't need to make--the added fingerplay during the ceremony.

I did feel a bit sorry for Cesar and Olivia. They had to stay in character and couldn't be seen to be enjoying the wedding. Everyone else was having such fun.

Miriam is sure to appear. We've had to many hints for it not to be. With 50 some episodes to go, it's too simple to have Cam 'n Dan live happily ever after right now. These two are so dizzily in love that it's going to be something really big to cause a 50 episode conflict. Miriam's appearance would do it. Even though I know (my head talking) that Cam 'n Dan will end up together, getting there is going to be heartbreaking (my heart talking). Who was it kept saying in Refugio, it's just a tn, it's just a tn. Man, do we ever get invested in just a tn.

I hope Camila keeps her spunk up during the dark times. With friends like Viv, Rafa, Aaron, Luzma, Pablo (and Mariano, too) and the rest to help they will--with everything except a broken heart. Please, writers, don't go there yet. WE need some more carefree happiness. Ay yi yi what to expect when you're expecting nada bueno.

UA--thanks again. Grace Kelly was one of my favorite actresses as a tweenager. Everybody wanted to look like her. And here is Silvia and the resemblance is remarkable.

Anita: "it's just a tn, it's just a tn. Man, do we ever get invested in just a tn."-- yes we do. And we love it!!! :)

UA: you did a great job with the "newscast". Another TN wedding with all the trimmings. Glad you put the twist on it.

I wanna see tango! And I'm with whoever said that Cam'nDan can cool the dizzy love. If she wraps her legs around him one more time, I'm sorry, I will FF.

Loved the dress, hated the hairdo (hairdon't) Did not like that little pouf that kept bumping into Daniel's sombrero. How annoying!

Aggie and Dion were terrific. The acting here is superb! Glad that Dante and Tere are back in-country. The whole Miriam thing is disturbing. I would like to think she is dead and the baby lives. But I think the writers/directors will play this to the hilt.

UA: Lol what an awesome recap! You cut out all the extra dialogue and gave not only a great recap, but a fun one too!

I think Camila was pretty, but I don't think the outfit was up to TN's usual standards so I'm with Aleta - I think they're saving the best wedding for last. The church wasn't even half full - where were the rest of the workers? - the extras they brought in to fill up the seats looked like they were really just pulled out of a crowd. I thought the bridge of sombreros was really cool though. It reminded me of when miltary officers raise their swords over he bride and groom.

I agree with Nat's outfit, not a speck of sunshine yellow and the shawl was overly large. Also, I've been wondering if it's just me or if anyone else is thinking "for the love of God do something with that hair! Pull it back, put it up, anything!" I think it's beautiful, but with it hanging straight down like that all the time and getting into her face, it's driving me crazy!

Gussy - best moment of the night? the mwah, mwah, mwah and Cami. Playful and cute, loved it. Worst moment? Her dissing Nat. Snob-by! She and Rocio are awful!

Juanita - at the end, Dante said that it's as though the ground swallowed Abe and everything having to do with Miriam and Dan's case. Dio said how could the ground have swallowed him up if he just received a phone call from him a few days ago.

BTW, I just looked up Martha Carillo and she looks at lot like Camila, I was surprised.

I'm glad the wedding went off without a hitch, but I still feel like the Miriam anvil is lurking. I'm hope they don't come back from their honeymoon to a bomb. And Gussie will throw it in her face, but the bomerang will be awful for her!

LXV - I have to comment on Camila wrapping her legs around Daniel.

I can't see it without thinking of Kate del Castillo doing the same thing many times in La Reina del Sur. She did it with more purpose and more explicit results, whenever she encountered her great love, el Gallego. Here it seems more tame, consistent with the more tepid and apparently more heavily censored sexual interaction.

HS: "Also, I've been wondering if it's just me or if anyone else is thinking "for the love of God do something with that hair! Pull it back, put it up, anything!" And, lately it's looked like a wig to me.

Thanks UA for a job (pleasure) well done. Like so many others in Viewerville, I was shocked and very pleasantly surprised that the wedding happened before bad news and appearances hit the fan. (If anyone in viewerville knew differently, I’m glad they didn’t ruin it for the rest of us).

You brought up an interesting point. Even though I’m “liberated”, I don’t have a problem with the custom of the bride being presented to the groom by her dad. Back in the days when women didn’t leave home until they married, a future son in law considered it an honor that his father in law would entrust him to love and protect his daughter after marriage. His expectations were made clear at the time the potential groom asked for the woman’s hand in marriage.
What I would eliminate from the vows are the parts “love honor and obey” and “til death do we part”.

I also like our custom better where the groom and groom don’t interact with the crowd or each other until after the vows are taken.

Make that last sentence "bride and groom" instead of "groom and groom". And the reason I'd eliminate the 2 parts listed is because they are no longer realistic in our society.

I guess I just don't see Cami jumping onto Dan like a monkey and him carrying her around as a sexual thing. It seems more playful to me. However, the other night, after Pablo and Luzma's wedding, when Dan picked her up and had her wrap her legs around him, put her on the desk, and then picked her up again with her wrapped around him and took her to bed...now THAT was sexual, and sexy. But again, not the same as when he comes into the cabin and she jumps on him as a greeting. I never think when she does this that it's an invitation to sex. It's simply a demonstrative and enthusiastic greeting for the guy she loves madly.

Foxy - Oddly, though I too consider myself a pretty "liberated" woman, I really like that tradition of the bride's parents walking her down the aisle and then placing her hand/arm in/on the groom's. I don't like phrasing "who gives this woman..." but the hand off to me is symbolic of the parents saying "I've been holding my little girl's hand through the good times and bad her whole life, trying to protect her, cherishing her, and now I'm trusting you to do the same things." It's like when people say their putting their life in your hands; the parents are putting the precious life they created in thehands of another.

Vivi - I agree completely, different intention here, with that one exception. It just reminds me of what was a much more sexual action in LRDS. I enjoy all of Camila's playfulness with Daniel, including the legs wrapping around him.

Just rewatching a few moments from last night and did have to cringe when smaller, kinder, more dignified Ossie told Dio that he had better stay away from Amanda. Such a noble gesture, but against such a dangerous man!

Osvaldo knows what he's doing. I think he will survive what's to come. The one we need to worry most about is Cayetano. He's a sitting duck for Hissadora and her dragon claws and teeth.

OMG, Carolina, THANKS SO MUCH for the link to Christian doing the tango! I LOVED it, and I was amazed at the lifts he was able to do with just one arm. It's fortunate, though, that his macho insistence on dancing injured didn't do more permanent damage to his other arm.

Thanks, too, to UA and HellaShelle for helping me untangle what Dio said in the avances.

I'm glad you liked it, Juanita! If you want to find the other dances he did on the show, just search youtube for Cristian and Cheryl (his partner's name) and you should be able to find them. I had that same injury to my leg once and it is not fun.
