Amorcito Corazón Discussion #199-202 Jan. 21-25

Hola amigas/os,

It appears that the inauguration ceremonies bumped our show for today.  Hopefully the show will not be shown at some obscure time today (it wasn't on my tv schedule but then today's episode was still scheduled)  so we'll have our next episode tomorrow.  And this means our last episode will be January 31st.  I hope everyone had a nice Dr. MLK Jr. Day.

Take care,
Karen

I feel my day is incomplete without someone updating me on the shenanigans I have to look forward to when I get home. Sigh. I didn't even get a holiday to make it better, just a regular work day.

So, what grisly ends are we predicting for our villains? Manuela's will have to be the most painful and/or spectacular. Does the fact that it's a comedy influence how much she is allowed to suffer? I would like to see her disfigured and forced to work as a saloon wench in some sleazy place and actually have to be nice to people to earn enough in tips to pay for her miserable hovel and gruel. Horny can join her. Since it might not be nice to wish that on someone who is truly mentally ill, in my scenario she's been faking it all this time to get special treatment.

Knuckles and Barf should also end up poor, obviously. Willy won't let Barf suffer too much, but she hasn't killed anyone so just being not rich and having to work might be enough for her. Knuckles should crawl back into whatever swamp he came from.

Why am I saying I didn't get a holiday? I watched a few minutes of a parade from my office window, AND I have apple pie at home. Total American Festivity.

Julia--It's not total unless you also have Mom and Baseball. Apple pie and parades is not sufficient.

My dvr thought the show was on today. Alas, it recorded excatly what I was watching at the time it was recording-- the inaugural parade, but in Spanish.

I'm sorry you didn't have the day off Julia.

I have meetings after work tomorrow, so I won't be able to watch my recording till late tomorrow. If someone else wants to take a shot at recapping tomorrow let me know.

Okay, partial American festivity. I guess I'm not very good at holidays.

I forgot to predict a grim ending for Jorrible. Hmm, what would be bad enough for him? I think maybe he needs many many years in jail. After all his bragging about his travels and his overbearing pompous snobbery, it would be nice if he never went anywhere again, and had to sleep on a hard cot with a scratchy blanket and get terrible haircuts and wear an ugly jumpsuit and only had one or two barely-educated trolls to hang out with. And only toilet wine to drink.

Julia - sorry you didn't have the day off but at least you did have apple pie (I'm a sucker sweets). I do like your scenario for EWM, Horny, Knuckles and Barf.

I really want to Barf and Knuckles to be revealed. At least the important people know EWM and Horny are bad news.

Vivi - thanks for the heads up on posting late.

Anita - did you have the day off?

Karen--I would have had the day off had I still been in my status as full-time employee. However, I'm re-re-re-hu-rrah-rah-re-tired.

Julia--where can we get toilet wine? I'll send Jorrible a keg and tell the guards he needs to drink a pint with every meal.

I'll be home tomorrow. I can give it a short shot. Then Vivi can make the corrections and additions later.

I liked seeing Manuela tied to the sanitorium bed; so that's my punishment for her--tied down so she can't even scratch an itch or blow her nose and have Horny standing over her tickling her with a feather and telling her what a loser she is and how she always loved Sofia more, even though she, Horny, and EUUM were more alike than Two Peas in a Pod, Apple Pie and Toilet Wine together.

That's going to be tough to pull off because Horny will be in jail, swabbing floors and trading favors with the big beefy lady guards for nail polish, hair color, soap and hot showers.

Knuckles, hmmm. You have to admit, he got along with the little Marias pretty well. He's always been nice to them, helping them with their homework. Maybe if he doesn't get his inheritance right away, the executor will make him go to school, get a trade or a career, maybe teach school. But, he will no doubt get himself entangled with some underage girl...or not...and she'd be willing to marry him in return for part of his inheritance--oh, wait, that's what Barfus wanted to do. Some people never learn.

I was sort of hoping Barf & Knuckles would get married, then he'd end up in jail and she could live in his apartment -- alone -- but then she was so clearly undredeemed by her brother's death that I lost hope for her.

Horny, jail, definitely. One with really tacky outfits.

And tacky outfits that are several sizes too big.

I wonder if Uni will broadcast 199 or 200 today. Anyway, I'm prepared to tackle the job.

¡¡Andale, Anita!!

Tuesday— Part I
Note: This is a EWWManny-free episode.

The title is: Idrogo and the Pulsera Mystery (vol. 199 in the eminent Mexican Teniente Idrogo detective series).

Before Idrogo comes on the scene, Willy and the Hand Jiving Mariachis are finishing up their gig infront of the Casa de Hogar. The Mamas sin Papas tell Lucia not to send them away but to go out and at least thank Willy for the serenade. She does, rather curtly, and adds, didn’t you get the wrong house, maybe? He finally admits that the whole Amanda thing was his invention to make sure she didn’t take her vows and to find out whether she really loved him. )I think he’s sorry it backfired.) Anywhoo, Lucia tells him she ought to be hating him right now, but she can’t. The scene ends with some Teeth-cleaning, Tongue-sucking, Face-chewing kisses, while the Band Played On.

They go off to be by themselves for a bit, Lucia shyly telling Willy that he looks good in the charro suit (we already noticed that, girl) but not before Willy shouts to the Four Winds (good name for a band) that he loves Lucia Lobo. The inside ladies hear the message and everyone is happy, except for Barf, who looks as though she really is going to Barf. The ladies are concerned and call Lucia. Willy doesn’t want her to take the call because they are having such a good tête-á-tête. He’s quoted the old saw, I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow. Lucia doesn’t care, it’s sweet and sentimental. But, conscientious Luci does answer. It’s about Barf and they need her. Off they go.

Our tireless Idrogo has called Fer to tell him that Horny has been arrested and because she fainted, is currently being checked at the Cruz Roja. Fer, Isa and the Marias, Sarita, Zoe and Pelusa have gathered at Fer’s place now that Mmmm… (can’t quite say it) is gone. The matter of Sofía’s Pulsera comes up. It’s complicated. They try to trace the steps from her wrist to Marisol’s wrist. They still don’t know how it got to Horny’s house for Jaibo to rob, Knuckles to get it before he gave it to Marisol. The taxi’s waiting and Fer & Isa are off to the Cruz Roja, leaving the little Marias in the big Maria’s care.

There is a slight diversion while we check in on F-5, who has been drinking heavily to forget? But no, trying to get into the new blonde chippie, but no, he just can’t. Let’s go back to my place she suggests. No, maybe later, alligator. She’s left scratching her head for awhile, crocodile. F-5 can’t believe he walked away from that delicious looking dish. He blames Zoe for killing his appetite. We can’t get to the Cruz Roja yet, because Ceci has to be given equal time. He arrives home, drops his keys, begins to reminisce about the first “encuentro” with Zoe, gets out his notebook and composes a billet-doux. We know who it’s for.

Tuesday - Part II
More digressions before we can get back to Idrogo, as Juancho calls Marisol. She’s in 7th Heaven. She’s so glad he called, please call her back on his home phone so he’s not incurring big charges. He tells her he wants to be with her. She tries to go back to the old song she was singing before about the need to form a family with Barbara, but he won’t let her. His new song is Stand By Your Man. He’s absolutely going to take responsibility for his child, but he’s not going to end up marrying Barf, no way, no how, when there’s no love. So there.

Idrogo, where ARE you? Not at Fer & Isa’s apartment building, we’ve checked. Looky who’s coming, it’s a big bouquet of flowers followed closely by Flippy, drunk as a skunk. He has a good reason, though. When Zoe answers the door, he hands her the flowers and tells her he lurvves only her. She thanks him for the flowers and tries to send him away to sleep it off. But, but, couldn’t she invite him in to spend the night with her? No and thanks again for the flowers. She does say it nicely. So as Flip goes Down the Up-stairs, Ceci arrives in the elevator, also carrying a bouquet of flowers. He gives Zoe the flowers, his heart and his note, but proceeds to do a Cyrano. He lurvvves her. Really, he’s the one that loves her, not the note (nor the ones he wrote for Felipe). He asks for a kiss, but she detects alcohol and sends him away, even when he asks to help with Pelusita and sleep on the couch.

Sarita has overheard all this and marvels at all the flowers. Zoe waxes poetic about the difference between the two men. F-5 makes her laugh, Ceci makes her feel good (and other things). If F-5 weren’t in the middle to muddle, she’d be with Ceci right now. Sarita thinks all this relationship stuff and feelings are too modern for her.

Idrogo Sighting---Fer and Isa have arrived at the Cruz Roja. Fer talks him into letting him see Horny. They still think she is hiding something—the matter of the Pulsera is hard to explain unless there was someone else involved (love, love, love Fer’s shaggy look and neatly trimmed 2 ½ day old shadow).

Meanwhile, in her Cruz Roja room, Horny is beginning to realize who killed Sofía, but can’t quite bring herself to inculpate Mmman…her daughter. To Fer, she denies everything, it couldn’t have been Sofía’s twin who did the deed because she was out of town and can’t explain how the bracelet ended up in her house all those years later. Surely that isn’t enough to hold her. She swears she found Sofía at the bottom of the steps, dead, and called the police.

Out in the waiting room, Idrogo and Isa are trying to figure things out. Isa says that as many bad things as Horny has done, murdering her own daughter wouldn’t be in her book of bad deeds. It’s remotely possible that she knows who did it and is covering up, or that it was an accident. Isa’s theory is that if it’s murder, it’s most likely that it was someone who has a really sick mind, like Mmmann… Suppose, she muses, Horny is lying and Manny (ok, I did it) was there when Sofía had the accident.

Willy and Lucia have arrived at the Casa and despite Barf saying she’s going to be fine, she doesn’t look good at all. Willy just picks her up and off they go to the clinic. We all know what happened there!!!! Lala comes in frantic asking about Barbara and the bebé. The doc comes out to tell them that it was a –vesicula acolada (?), anyway, she won’t need anything more than a prescription and to stop eating greasy foods. Lala wants to know what about the bebé? What bebé, her bebé-she’s expecting, doc says nopi, no bebé, she’s not expecting. Lala barges into the examining room and wants to know why Barf lied. Barf lies that when she was “late” she got a pregnancy test and it was positive. How was she to know it didn’t work. She had illusions of having a family with Juancho, but when she realized his attitude, she rejected him. Lala doesn’t believe one iota of her story.

Tuesday - Part III
Oh dear, poor Jaibo. He remembers everything now. He remembers what a nasty no good schmuck he was and has flashbacks to all his violent deeds. Jaibo tells the Sister when he sees her that he knows who he is. Sister tells him he should be contrite. He doesn’t know what that means. Sister tells him he has another chance to show his repentence, to put things right and to accept the consequences of his actions. He has a mission now and why el Diosito chose not to take him earlier.

Back at the Cruz Roja, Fer does not want to bring any charges against Horny that would keep her in jail. He thinks she should be released. If it’s a procedural matter, can it be undone, he asks Idrogo. Idrogo can, but begs him not to put the brakes on the investigation. They are so close. Fer doesn’t want to interfere with it, but he’s sure Horny didn’t have anything to do with killing Sofía. On the way home, Isa tells Fer how proud she is of Fer for what he did, despite how Horny has treated him.

Idrogo went through with Fer’s petition because we see Horny storming back home. She wants to know IMMediately where Manny is. Margarita is puzzled because Manny was on her way to see Horny, didn’t she find her? By this time, Horny is upstairs and enters her bedroom. Wwhaaa..she’s been Robbed and she doesn’t even need to ask the Who. Manny has cleaned her out and fled (stupid Horny for giving her the combination or a set of keys, IMHO). There’s no doubt in Horny’s mind now. Manny is the one who killed Sofía, took her bracelet and had it in her house. Horny does a Corona-de-Lagrimas-madre-desesperada scene, but dry-eyed.

Next day (we know that because we watched the sun come up), Margarita and Jaime are worried about Horny, but are unable to reach Manny by phone. Horny is still sobbing dry-eyed over Sofía and having protected Manny---oooh, wait, I see a single tear running down Horny’s left cheek. Jaime goes up and knocks on the door and hears her sobbing, but she won’t open the door and won’t answer him. She just sobbs harder. M ‘n J decide not to call Fer but to wait things out.

Lala is up and working on some material. Barf comes in, looking and feeling much better. She’s ready to go get her things from the Casa. Lala says there’s no need, Willy has gone to save her the embarassment of seeing the mamas again. There’s a knock at the door. What a coincidence, just who Barf didn’t want to see—Juancho. It’s obvio that Lala called him because he wants to know what she needs, something from the market, maybe? No, Barbara has something to tell him. She up and leaves. Juancho wants to know what’s up and has she changed her mind again and wants to get married. For once we hear some truthful good news from Barbara, No, I’m Not Preggers. Fin del Episodio.

Anita, no fairz! This was pure comic narrative genius, and I was told I could get away with just bullets. Harrumph.

BL--Didn't mean to upstage anybody. You're a working gal..I have time on my hands. Or at least I did today. Enjoy.

Oh Anita! I just got home, and got the treat of a full recap from you. Not only did you save me from having to write one, but you did such an amazingly funny job too. Now off to watch the episode!

Anita- Muchas gracias once again for taking on the recap for me today, and in such fabulous fashion.

A few things that struck me---

Loved your riff on Horty's (lack of) tears. A whole night of crying, and her eye makeup was still perfect. I had to laugh when the Queen of Darkness asked God how she could have engendered such a monster. Ha!

I wish Fer would have gloated just a tiny bit when Horty begged him to keep her out of jail and swore she didn't kill Sofia. I would have pointed out to her how she was so willing to condemn me as a drug dealer and poison my kids against me. But Fer is way nicer (and stupider) than I am.

Right after saying he wasn't good at saying what he feels out loud, Cecilio launches into a poetic speech about how much he loves Zoe. He obviously underestimates his facility with the spoken word, not just with the written. Interesting that Zoe said if it weren't for Felipe, she would already be with Cecilio. And I say, if it weren't for the baby, she would have dumped Felipe a LONG time ago. And I don't give a darn if Felipe couldn't get his motor running with the blonde. The fact that he tried, is reason enough for him to stay dumped and to become an EX husband.

Thanks Anita. I fast forwarded through Horty and Jaibo knowing the recap would be better and it was.

I can't believe Barb came clean! About time!

Now how are we going to fit all these weddings into one week???

Anita - thanks so much for this detailed recap. I'm glad you had the time and didn't realize you are retire, yeah. MMMmmm a EWM free episode, interesting.

BL - LOL, about Horny in bad outfits. You have a fun sense of humor.

Vivi - "But Fer is way nicer (and stupider) than I am." Another LOL moment.

I'm finding it hard to believe that it never crossed Horny's mind that EWM killed her sister. Horny knew she was covering for something that EWM did. Was there something I missed?

Sara - I completely understand FF through all things Horny but reformed Jaibo is quite compelling. I know its hard to believe as I felt he and rIcky were evil twins separated at birth. But he's played such a nice guy and sincerely asks the nuns to pray for him. I guess I'm buying the completely new personality from a coma plot.

BL - Perhaps someone will have a double wedding Fer/Isa and Willy/Lucia and/or Zoe/Mr. C. I am disappointed the writers are still trying to make F5 seems like an option.

Karen- Yeah, Horty kept saying crap about how she suspected Mani, but she never let herself fully believe that Mani killed Sofia. I call b.s. on that. She always knew. She's lying to herself just as much as lied to the cops and to Fer that no one else was there that day, and that Mani was Valle del Bravo. There would be no need to lie if she didn't believe that Mani killed Sofia from the moment she found her hovering over Sofia's body.

Hola Amiga/os. I've had a great time catching up on all your terrific recaps and the past week of episodes. I didn't have time to catch up on all the eps I missed (since Thanksgiving!) but thanks to the wonderful recaps I knew which scenes to try to find. Specifically, Moncho going to Adelita's town and a couple of gym scenes. Anyhoo, things seem to have really moved forward during the past month. What fun to see Sara and Anita back in the 'hood. Anita, I just loved your recap of today's episode, enjoying your humor really took me back to the El Tal days. Except that AC is much better of course, although it lacks belt buckles and avocados.

It looks like I will be able to hang with you guys until the end so I look forward to watching all our star-crossed lovers hook up.

Karen, I like the double wedding idea. Heck, why not a triple or +++?

Karen- Jaibo is convincing even in FF. I was in a time crunch. :)

The Jaibo actor always plays thugs. I'm glad he's getting a chance to stretch his acting muscles a bit and show a more tender side, under those big muscles. In La Verdad Oculta, his hair was long and very curly and he was called the Monkey or some such.

Anita -- what a treat. This was hilarious.

I'm so glad that we are finally seeing some of our couples get together at last. Willy certainly looked adorable & i enjoyed Lucia's response.

And Juancho & Marisol are almost there. She just needs to find out that there is no baby.

Oh yes Fer looked wonderful with his disheveled hair & two day growth. Normally I don't like that unshaven look but he was hot.

Loved everybody's riffs on Horty's dry eyed crying. She's known deep down all along that it was Manny but she just couldn't let herself believe it.

I was glad that Felipe headed for that blonde -- proof that he is not the one for Zoe. Then he went and turned noble on us. But we know that it can't last. Cecilio was so cute.

Glad to see you back Sylvia.

Güera

Thank you, Anita! I loved all your commentary and clever phrases, from "Teeth-cleaning, Tongue-sucking, Face-chewing kisses" on down.

I agree, Horny has always known her evil spawn killed the good twin. If she's upset now, it's probably as much because she realizes the secret will come out and bring shame and embarrassment upon her. She has always only cared about herself. Fer is too forgiving for his own good. He should have let Horny stew in jail for a couple days at least to keep her out of the way of the investigation. Why would they think she wouldn't keep helping Mani escape?

I hope they don't cram all the weddings into the last episode.

Now that Jaibo has his memory back, can he please get Doris out of prison? I want Doris and Poncho living happily ever after.

Fer does look good with his new style. It's guys like him who make the others think they should sport the scruffy look, too, but unfortunately lots of them end up looking like mangy wolves.

This really was a delightful recap, Anita. Way to come out swinging.

Jaibo's tears are very convincing. He could give Horny a few pointers.

I must say that for últimas, things don't seem to be moving very quickly. (I'll probably pay for that remark tonight...)

Sylvia - glad to see you back! We are heading into our last episode so things should be coming together.

Vivi, Güera, and Julia - I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't buy Horny never knew.

BL - "Jaibo's tears are very convincing. He could give Horny a few pointers." LOL

Julia - I think both Jaibo and Horny will come clean (the previews show her telling Gabino she thinks Manny did it) though I'm still not buying her remorse.

FYI - I thought our TN will end next Thursday but saw promos for STuD starting Feb 4th; we might have a Friday episode. I'll keep you all posted.

Karen, my TV schedule shows Amorcito through Friday, but I wouldn't take that as conclusive.

I don't know if this helps or confuses things, but I noticed that when I watched Tuesday's episode online it was listed as Capitulo 197.

Cap'n - That ship left the dock a long time ago (while you were "away"). Yes, there is a discrepency, but we have adjusted. We must pretend not to watch on line or the U N I polizei will be after us.

Oopsie, I don't want to bring the Uni policía down on our heads. I read about the combining of episodes in the recaps, I just mentioned it in the interest of trying to figure out the El Gran Final date, but I guess it will be when it will be. Then again, when has exact chronology every played into the airing of episodes? Dontcha love how Uni plays fast and loose with our capitulos? It's always so annoying.

BL - thanks for the update regarding your schedule. But as usual we'll what happens.

Sylvia - I don't know why Uni plays these scheduling games with their loyal viewers.

Karen--It's because we are loyal viewers that they take such liberties!

Good point Anita but you would think they would be more thoughtful and appreciative of us.

At least they didn't get bored with this show halfway through and start editing the episodes down into super-condensed nonsense, like they often do to shows I was enjoying watching (Llena de Amor, Camaleones, the one with Jorge Aravena set in Panama). That REALLY irritates me.

Julia--They did it to El Tal. They actually announced that it would be shortened--by 20 episodes.

We recappers all sighed sighs of relief. We were getting so tired of Piggorio, Elvira, Lucrecia, The Beltbuckle (aka Antonio), Pedro and Camila's nonsense. We did bemoan the fact that they didn't treat us to Aaron Diaz with a freshly shampooed and blow-dried hairdo until a few minutes before he went down in a hail of gunfire. That man is gorgeous.

At least they shortened El Tal during filming. They didn't take an already fully filmed show and hack out large parts of the plot so you were left wondering "how is she suddenly pregnant? And why doesn't he own the company anymore? Did the mom actually die? I thought he hated her, so why are they suddenly besties?" and such. They cut out that much of the Panama one (I can't remember the name). It was completely disjointed the last couple weeks it aired.

El Tal should have had a full week of The Beltbuckle special episodes, though, exploring his deep dark psyche and the potential of The Hair. What a waste.

Lo de miércoles, Part I: Lotsa conversations

- Lucía tells the Casa Hogar ladies that Barb's not pregnant

- Barb tells Juancho she's not pregnant

- Juancho tells Marisol Barb's not pregnant

- Barb tells Mauricio everybody knows she's not pregnant

- Horny tells Idrogo & Fernando that Manuela had algo que ver con Sofía's death

- Fernando tells Marisol

- Lucía tells Willy

- Could we get some plot here already?

Part II: Lotsa wedding prep

- Doris tells Poncho the boda's tomorrow and he has to get her a dress. Suzy offers the one she's been saving, but Poncho gently suggests it might not quite fit. They go off and buy one and dye it khaki, but when it arrives at the jail it's way too small -- Doris' tough-looking friend vamps it up using scissors and Doris can fit everything but her left leg in.

- Adelita & Lala go off to buy her dress.

- Fer asks the niñas to organize a little party for the evening so he can formally ask Sarita for Isabel's hand.

Part III: Lotsa intrigue

- Idrogo finds irregularities in Jorge's finances from the disk Poncho ripped

- Fernando says he'll sell if Jorge tells him the real reason he wants the constructora, but that doesn't go anywhere

- When Willy picks up Barb's things at the Casa Hogar, he finds a huge roll of bills and the title to a new car and now everyone's worried she's gone down the Ricky Road

- Manuela sees a "se busca" ad with her picture in the paper

- Barb suggests to Mauricio that they elope and cash in their chips -- NOW

- Jaibo gets his memory back, apparently in the tanning salon

- Horny has a temper tantrum and fires Margarita, and Jaime goes with her

FIN

Thanks Blue. That Horty is one gigantic beeeyatch. Just when I thought she might be redeemed she goes off and fires her most faithful employee. Yay to Jaime for leaving with Margarita!

Forgot to say, kudos to the comment about Jaibo's memory coming back in the tanning salon. Totally cracked me up.

Blue- Thanks amiga. The tanning salon line also cracked me up. :)

Doris' prison buddy should be on Project Runwway. She made a tan wedding dress look fashionable!

Horty actually managed to come up with enough tears to make her mascara run today. Of course, she also decided to throw her remaining child under the bus and not admit her own guilt-- "I suppose Mani must have been here the day Sofia died, but I didn't know about it." Uh huh!

Anita & Julia - you two are too funny but Aaron Diaz is quite fine and the writers do waste film/video not exploring his character further.

BL - thanks so much for the recap. There was A LOT of talking but at least we had one wedding now hopefully three to go.

Sylvia - yes Horny is a witch! Since she didn't really come clean about Sophia's death, she is being set up to be alone; though that apology to Fer did shock me.

Vivi - yes blech on Horny's innocence and LOL about Doris's prison buddy's skills.

I'm also annoyed that Barf is still lying about the pregnancy-- saying she took a pregnancy test when her period was late and it was positive. Oh please! The only person half buying that story is Lala, and I'm annoyed at her for that. How much time has gone by since Barf declared she was pregnant? If she was already late then, and she still hasn't had her period by now, then they should be asking the doc about any other potential illnesses. You have to give lying liars who lie, like Horty and Barf, credit for sticking to what they know best (lying) till the bitter end.

Blue Lass, your recap made me laugh muchisimo.

Yikes, Snorty Horty. Throwing your plate on the floor and having a tantrum like a toddler? Tell us again how classy you are. Bummer for Margarita and Jaime to get fired but maybe Cecilio can use his mad legal skillz to get them a boatload of severance pay and they can get better jobs. Anything would have to be better.

Loved the little dude crying as soon as Willy took him from Lucia. That was funny. It looked like the rest was ad-libbed.

How were they allowed to have scissors in prison? That inmate should run a service jazzing up everyone's uniforms into stylish new duds. Weird how there were so many inmates getting married. I hope Poncho and Doris will be able to have their honeymoon in the free world.

Thanks for the recap, Blue. I just watched the episode and I'm excited about Doris and Poncho.

Thanks for setting us up for the big beige wedding, BL. Who says you can't say it all with dots or dashes. Boohoo, I'm going to miss the wedding. I'll check back to see if there were any hitches. I wouldn't want to add Doris to the boda interrumpted list--she needs to begin life with Poncho and little Aldo pronto!

You'd think that they could at least screen out wedding crashers in a PRISON -- but I won't make any assumptions!

I forgot to mention my favorite moment from last night -- when Willy passes the roll of bills to his Mom in front of Juancho, and Juancho follows it like a dog with a biscuit. I am really developing an appreciation for that actor.

Thanks for your patience everyone. I had another late day.

Jueves part one

Doris and Poncho are having a rather nice group wedding ceremony but unfortunately it is interrupted by the police taking Doris away for questioning. Mr C calls and blasts Gabino for taking her away in that fashion and not telling him.

Margarita and Jaime decide to help Willy with his case against Horny for defaming the casa hogar. After her slapping phase Lucia has become a wimp and doesn't really want to prosecute Horny, oh brother.

Thankfully they listen to Margarita and Jaime and promise to help along with Mr. C.

Barf and Knuckles are actually trying to get married; I am wondering if their comeuppance comes before or after their wedding.

Cute scene - The younger Maris, Lu Chong, and later Juancho prepare for Fer's party.

F5 remains delusional in his pursuit of Zoe - when will this nonsense end?

The casa hogar ladies are planning a bachelorette party for Adelita; they suggest strippers, ha.

Doris's interrogation is a bit misleading in that she keeps looking frightened and Jaibo menacing but at least he is telling the truth. They both get weepy and she promises to care for his son.

Willy arranges a nice trip for Moncho and Adelita's luna de miel.

Jueves, part two

Knuckles and Barf continue their lying act to his lawyer. It appears they have gotten away with their farce as the lawyer invites them to dinner and there they will show him the official papers. I'm thinking the witnesses they didn't know signing the marriage certificate could be a stumbling block.

More foolishness - Zoe goes to dinner w/F5. Hurray, Zoe ends the madness and tells him she will NOT return to him.

The younger Maris lure Isa and Sarita to their apt and Fer asks Sarita for Isa's hand. Thankfully for Fer the Maris convince Sarita to allow the dinner and proposal to take place.

And we end with quite the cliff hanger. Horny is remembering EWM's lying about Sofia's bracelet and while deep in thought someone's hand cover's her mouth. It's her psychotic daughter who threatens to harm her if she says anything. Oh my.

The preview has EWM arriving at Isa's with a gun, oh no!

Karen, thanks.

I LOL at the scene with Jaibo and Doris, they had matching bracelets!

Rosemary Primera

Thanks so much Karen! I was also getting annoyed at the Felipe-Zoe romance farce, and really annoyed at Sarita for helping to make it happen. If she wants a cheating husband and wife to get back together, then she needs to find her own husband and take him back. I see that hasn't been so easy for her, hmmmmmm...I was so happy when Zoe told him no. Now, please writers, have her go over to Cecilio's and give him a big, fat passionate kiss.

Thanks Karen. This was fun. There were lots of favorite moments.

I too loved how Jaibo & Doris held hands while both were wearing matching handcuffs. I'm so glad that Jaibo didn't tell the whole truth. One big lie for the good of his baby. The new Jaibo is a teddy bear.

My second favorite moment -- Marilu & Marifer luring Isabel & Sarita to the engagement cena by pretending Luchon was having a seizure. They looked so cute with their pretend shaking.

Third favorite moment was actually Barf & Mauricio. Their elopement was pretty cute. Since they confessed that it was an elopement it won't matter who the witnesses were. The judge always has some on hand. It looks like they meet the notary at dinner tonight to turn over the inheritance. I'm hoping that Mauricio's dad made some really bad investment just before he died & the inheritance went up in smoke.

Manuela with a gun at Isa's door in the previews looks really bad. I guess it is truly ultimos capitulos - time for the newly reunited lovers to by separated by a mad kidnapper. Please let's have some more bodas before Friday's finale!!!

RP - yes Jaibo and Doris did have matching "bracelets."

Vivi - ITA about poor Sarita. I don't know why she keeps getting so happy when F5 is nice. Didn't Zoe live with them when he was pulling the same crap. I do wish poor Leo could come back. He at least repented and changed unlike F5.

The writers have wasted enough time w/F5 and Mr. C needs some loving from Zoe.

Güera - thanks for the clarification about Barf & Knuckles wedding. I too think they are good together they just need some comeuppance for all the manipulation they did to Marisol and Juancho and Barf's family.

Thanks, Karen! Lots of good moments.

Ceci was so mad at Idrogo he hung up on him -- I think that's the rudest he's ever been. But I was relieved to see that Doris & Poncho actually did get all the way through the ceremony, so at least we have one couple together. I'm sure they'll have a nice church wedding later.

Lets hope that if Poncho and Doris do have a nice church wedding in their future that Doris will have a decent wedding dress. That dress she had was awful but I guess it was better than the prison garb.

Thanks Karen. That was a great recap of a fun episode. I was so glad that Zoe gave Felipe his well-deserved smack-down. ITA that their storyline had gone on way too long. Time for Zoe and Cecilio to get together for good.

I think Mauricio and Barb make a great couple and totally deserve a lifetime of being nasty and sneaky to each other. I love the idea about Mau's dad making bad investments, but even bif those two end up with an inheritance they won't keep it for long.

Thanks for the recap, Karen!

Marifer's demonstration of the supposed seizure was hilarious. She's one of my favorite child actors.

I've been annoyed all this time that Sarita has been trying to get Zoe to stick with FFFFF. Didn't Sarita snap and spend time in a sanitorium due to her husband's infidelity and horrible behavior? Why does she want a life like that for Zoe? FFFFF may be affectionate and devoted to the baby, but as soon as he had Zoe back and the chase was over, he'd be wandering again. Oh, wait, it didn't even take that long.

Whereas Cecilio has been completely devoted to her wellbeing since the moment he met her, and his brief forced attempt to get over her and move on didn't take at all.

BL - yes Mr. C was quite vexed. But Gabino did drop the ball on this and then he yelled at his guy for proceeding with the arrest. Bad form over all.

RP - Yes let's hope Doris and Poncho have a nice church wedding very soon.

Sylvia - ITA that if Barf and Knuckles get any more, they will blow threw it quickly. Once they show up married, Juancho will start to put a lot of the pieces together and Lucia may realize that Barf was kissing Knuckles.

Julia - I think we have to attribute Sarita's forgetfulness to the writers b/c she did snap due to her husband's infidelity. Perhaps b/c the actor who plays F5 is popular is the reason this bad plot dragged out so long (I say that b/c the actor got a TyN nom for this part.)

Viernes part one

After threatening her mother, EWM with delight tells her she killed her sister and came back to tell her to her face; wow, that's really evil. I guess that means she'll be dead by the end of this TN and she has killed others as well. Earlier Horny lied to EWM about her picture in the paper.

Fer and Isa sneak away from the apt to have congress.

Margarita and Jaime place their complaint against Horny to Mr. C with Willy and Lucia present.

Gabino wants Fer to trap Jorrible by agree to his offer for the company. While he is there, EWM shows up to kill Isa but gets thwarted this time.

Very odd pairs of parties. The ladies seem to being taking lessons from a female stripper and drinking.

The boys also have a female stripper who makes poor Moncho very uncomfortable. There is also an interesting guy there who seems to be a friend; it's just he's dressed in drag. If anyone can enlighten me I could appreciate it.

Then the drunken ladies go to the boys party so they must hide the stripper. Interestingly Lucia noticing the table moving (the stripper has been made into a table).

The ladies at the casa hogar all have hangovers.

Zoe and Mr C have dinner and he prepared a fabulous spread. They then start kissing but it stops b/c Zoe needs more time. Unbelievable! Then she goes back to Isa's and seems please F5 left flowers and talks about the difficult in choosing b/t the two. I'm quite vexed about this nonsense continuing.

Zoe tells Isa and Sarita about her dinner w/Mr C and then wastes our time comparing the two men.

Willy takes Lucia back to the kidnap cabin and proposes.

Mr C arrives to take Zoe on a picnic and F5 shows up just as they are about to leave. Zoe suggests the four go together and I scream.

Thanks Karen! The guy in drag was Chicho. They were playing a trick on Moncho but then Moncho caught on and reversed the trick. Which reminded me, weren't Chicho and Nacho strippers? Makes me wonder what kind of club they used to strip at, hee.

Karen, thanks.

Today was a great episode. The only drawback was that idoit Zoe and her never ending ability to make up her mind about F5 and Mr. C. I would hate to go with that woman shopping. Can you imagine her trying to buy a pair of shoes?

Maybe Sarita is getting senile!

Poor Horny, I almost felt sorry for her. Not only did she find out her daughter was evil but she looked really, really old.

I so wanted EWM to barge in on Fer not knowing that Gabino was there. That would have been fun.

I wonder who the others are that EMW killed?

The parties looked fun! Finally some of them are having a good time. The mud fight the next morning between WillyBoy and Luci was LOL funny. It did concern me that the wheel was still spinning when they were out of the car.

It was so sweet when Poncho "picked up" Doris at the prison. Another guy with hidden assets under that shirt.

Funny recap, Karen -- I loved, "Zoe tells Isa and Sarita about her dinner w/Mr C and then wastes our time comparing the two men." Seriously, I have seen this stupid situation on so many telenovelas. There ought to be a bingo square for "completely nonsensical pareja dilemma that nobody understands."

I swear Pelusa looks kind of like Cecilio. Maybe I'm just imagining because I want it to be so, but she's got cute little bug-eyes just like Cecilio.

Blue Lass, ITA that we need to add that bingo square, LOL.b

Karen- Thanks for the first part of the recap.

I figured when I saw Chicho in drag and lipstick stains on Moncho that they had played some sort of gag on him. But they didn't show it on Uni. It was edited out! Or did I blink and miss it? They showed shots of it in the exiting credits.

The moving table gag was hilarious, especially when the table pinched Willy and made him let out a scream. LOL!

Blue- “There ought to be a bingo square for "completely nonsensical pareja dilemma that nobody understands." AMEN! I have nothing more to say about this ridiculous Felipe-Zoe-Cecilio situation. You ladies said it all.

Rosemary- Yes, I was also impressed by Poncho's strength. But I have seen that actor with his shirt of in other tns, and he's quite fit.

The most shocking moment for me this episode-- Lucia going all the way with Willy after the invisible ring proposal! Whoa! I thought for sure she'd go to the altar a virgin like Adelita.

One addition to the Horty-Mani scene-- Mani is bribing Horty for money and anything else she may need. Otherwise, Mani will tell the cops that Horty knew all along that Mani was in the house the day Sofia died. Horty will do time for the cover-up. Bwahahaha!

Looking forward to the rest of your recap Karen.

Sylvia- I've thought the same thing about Pelusa. She also has very fair coloring like Cecilio. I wish the writers would throw us a bone with this one.

ITA, Vivi! What would it cost them? NOTHING.

I am watching online and this episode was two squished into one. I guess they cut out the part where Moncho feels Chicho's arm, realizes who it is and turns the tables on him. There was a lot of filler in the episode(s) but it was mainly cute stuff.

If the writers don't tell us that Cecilia is Pelusa's daddy then I will blame it on their bad memories. I KNOW Cecilio is the daddy. Hmmmph.

Oh goody, I missed the part about Manny demanding money from Horty "or else". I'd love to see Horty end up behind bars. Witch.

I was also shocked that Willy and Lucia ended up in bed, but mainly because they were supposed to be fixing the cabin up for someone else. Those scamps.

Sylvia- Yes, I kept thinking, I hope they have another set of sheets and bedding for Moncho and Adelita, otherwise...eeewwww! And they have to gather up all those rose petals off the floor and arrange them nicely again on the (fresh) bedding.

Two episodes combined, huh? Well, I guess we see how they're making up for Monday's episode.

I was not only surprised but disappointed that Willy & Lucia made love in the honeymoon bed. It went against her character not to hold out. And I too kept thinkint -but what about the honeymoon bed of roses for Moncho & Adeuta???

The other stuff -- the mud fight & the two parties were cute. I loved the table which was a stripper -- the the way she made Willy scream.

Ditto all of you about how stupid it is that they drag out the Zoe/Felipe/Cecilio thing -- and that Sarita seems to have forgotten what it is like to live with a cheating husband.

Guera

Julia- They played the "Sexy Smile" song for the stripper. That song is recycled in tns more than the Pear Robe! I wonder when they'll stop playing it?

Viernes, part two

After his proposal with a pretend ring, Willy and Lucia have relations; this seems to be shocking behavior for a former nun.

Doris is released from prison, yeah! Though ridiculed by two meanies, her fashion-friend sends her off well. Doris also promises to help her get out of jail.

Recapping scene against my will - our foursome arrives at the picnic site. Mr C has cute interaction with Pelusa and Zoe goes off with the jack wagon the writers continue to pretend is husband material.

Fer and Isa send the Maris off with the two of them meeting them later.

The Willy-mobile gets stuck in mud with Lucia and Willy playing in the mud.

It's official that our last episode is next Friday and we have no real previews but the crazy montage of scenes.

RP - I'll check on EWM list of crimes b/c Julia created a nice list last week.

BL - Yes we should add that unfortunate plot to our bingo cards.

Sylvia - thanks for noting the episode was a two-fer. The editing at both parties was really off and I knew we missed something. And I'm w/you on Mr C being Pelusa's real dad.

Vivi - ITA that Lucia not waiting for her wedding night was shocking and out of character for her.

And thanks so much for the info about EWM and Horny. Horny couldn't be blackmailed by a nicer person.

Guera - ITA about being disappointed w/Lucia and Willy's premarital congress. It seems really out of character for a woman who almost became a nun.

RP - Here's the list Sara found on another site with additions from Julia.

1. Murdered her own sister Sofia by pushing her down the stairs.
2. Stole the bracelet that belonged to Sofia from Sofia's dead body.
3. Hired someone to beat up Sabrina.
4. Poisoned Fernando.
5. Hired someone to murder Isabel (and is responsible for Sarita's shooting).
6. Tampered with the breaks from Isabel's car (and caused Zoe's car accident)
7. Murdered Cuevas with a pillow at the hospital.
8. Caused Marifer to have an asthma attack (twice).
9. Hid Marifer's inhalers and blamed Minerva.
10. Attempted to get Lu Chong locked up by putting an expensive watch in his luggage.
11. Robbed from Hortensia. (Though I don't remember this)
12. Illegally bought a gun.
13. Illegal possession of a weapon.

I would also add

14. Knocked out Margarita to escape Hortensia's house. (I like Margarita, she puts up with a lot.)

She also drugged Hortensia to keep her unconscious, blackmailed Doris, authorized a rebar substitution (here, that would be considered practicing engineering without a license) which led to a failure that injured people, paid Cuevas to keep quiet about it, and accused Minerva of poisoning Fer. She's assaulted Isa more than once.

Manny may even have had Sabrina killed. She sent her off with a thug, and we never saw her again.

Thank you for the recaps, Karen.

I'm glad I am not alone in feeling that it was out of character for Lucia to to all the way with Willy.

I *loved* the scene with the car getting stuck. Daniel Arenas is a great comedian. His next project is the Marimar remake with Ana Brenda Contreras, but I hope he gets to do a comedy again.

All of you who think the prenuptial roll in the hay was out of character for Lucia (who, hours earlier, was skittish about Willy kissing her neck), did you not notice the THUNDERSTORM? Even the most prudish and prim of young ladies is powerless against the THUNDERSTORM. Which conveniently led to deep mud at the cabin, yet presumably didn't rain on the wedding reception setup at the basketball court or Zoe's polygynist family picnic site.

The parties could have been more fun; maybe they were and I need to watch the full versions. I'm annoyed that they chopped down the episodes. The drag thing made no sense. I don't generally like bachelor party stripper scenes and this one didn't change my mind. Moncho just looked uncomfortable. Why does anyone think that's a good party idea if the guest of honor isn't into it? Parks and Recreation did a way better bachelor party after the groom said he didn't want strippers because they make him sad. At least the ladies were having fun at their weird learn-to-strip party.

Julie, THAT explains it. I forgot about the THUNDERSTORM. I don't know if they cut this out, but at the bachelorette party when they were getting their striptease lesson, I think Adelita said something like (and I'm paraphrasing) "I can't believe I was going to be a nun and miss all this." That seemed very out of character but it did make me laugh for some reason.

BL - you are right, poor Sabrina might be dead. I was hoping she would live and return to press charges.

Sara - thanks for the heads up on the new TN w/DA and AB. Like you, I hope they use him comically even if he's the galan.

Julia - I like your new pic. Where is it from? And thanks for the heads up about thunderstorms.

Sylvia - thanks for another bit from the chopped episode. I can excuse Adelita's hilarious comment b/c she may have been a a bit drunk when she made it ;)

"Thunderstorm" is definitely a bingo square. ;}

Karen, the photo is diving gear that was hanging inside an historic ship I went on in Buenos Aires. I thought it was funny how the arrangement of the straps and stuff made it look like a robot person or something.

Moncho and Adelita are so funny. They're the same way, how they feel awkward but try to go along with the fun.

I'm hoping Sabrina will come back, too, but I wouldn't put it past EWM to have killed her. I want Minerva to come back, too.

I dug out my bingo card. The only square I have left is "villain confesses to priest". C'mon, Mani, Horty, Knuckles...SOMEONE tell Padre about your evil deeds. Jaibo chatted with the nun about his, which is almost but not quite.

OMIGOSH, the funniest part of Friday was Cecilio trying to keep Poncho from kissing him. Too much.

I had to laugh at the relative tameness of the "estriper" at Moncho's party, too. I know it's an afternoon soap, but that outfit was something Manny would wear to WORK!
