Amorcito Corazón Discussion #202-206 Jan. 28

Well amigas/os it has been an excellent adventure (to steal a bit from the title of Bill and Ted’s movie) and hopefully we will get most of our wishes fulfilled by the grand finale.  We all have to thank Sara for her enthusiasm and asking our blog mom to recap an afternoon TN.  And I want to thank you all for helping me learn more Spanish as I tried my hand at recapping.  So here we go...
Willy and Lucia finish their mud fight and finally get on the road but it is blocked.  Meanwhile Moncho is freaking out; thankfully Chico calls Nacho to pick up Adelita.  Willy’s crew looks quite spiffy in their suits!

Our picnic for four continues.  I think we have all shared our sentiments on this ridiculousness.  After a few wedding scenes, they return to this silliness.  The two men drop off Zoe at Isa’s.  I hope we are not subjected to this poor, excuse for a plot much longer.

Doris and Poncho visit Aldo.  Later he brings her to his apt and he’s decorated it with welcome signs and balloons.

Poor Padre Tio is the last to find out about Marisol and Juancho and Willy and Lucia.  Moncho and his mom beam as they walk down the aisle.  He’s so happy, I’m so happy!  Adelita walks with Tuqueque, who hands her to Moncho; so cute!  They all look so great its going to be quite a scandal when our muddy novios arrive.  And it is b/c Willy arrives/speaks when our Padre Tio has asked if anyone objects.  After the wedding, Padre Tio gives Willy a hard time about being novios again with Lucia and then arriving late.  Later at the reception, Moncho is a bit miffed but frowns turn to smiles when they tell he and Adelita about the honeymoon cabin.  All I can think about is what our Vivi said, I hope they changed the sheets on the bed.  Fun scenes with dancing (good and bad).  Our newly weddings tearfully say goodbye to Tuqueque and leave for their luna de miel.

Knuckles’s Lic arrives let he and Barf know where they need to go to sign for the money.  Oh in an interesting turn of events when our junior villains arrive to sign the papers, there is no appointment or record of the Lic.  When they try to call him, the number is disconnected.  Could it be that the Lic is shady and ran off the money?  Points to Güera (and anyone else who guessed but didn’t post) something would keep those two from getting their hands on the money.  Their nightmare continues when they find out he has left his apt.  They return to the firm, explain their situation to another attorney, and find out Knuckles signed away his rights to the Lic.

Doris stops by Fer’s and they both make-up.  Later Fer accepts Jorrible’s offer.  Fans of Mr. Smith get to see him and he’s very pleased with Jorrible’s “victory.”

Doris visits the Maris after school and they go to visit Aldo.  Aldo’s caretaker tells Doris that she and Poncho cannot adopt him.  Lots of tears.

Horny gets served and curses everyone who had the nerve to tell the truth about her.  She calls Mr. C and want to speak with him.

I wasn't watching this live and the episode ran over. If someone can let me know what I missed, I would appreciate it.

Thanks so much Karen. The wedding was a lot of fun. Moncho and Adelita looked so happy. Nacho cleans up very well! So does little Tuqueque. I love that they wrote just married in the muddy back window of the Willy Mobile. I guess there was enough time for Willy and Lucia to clean and change, but now enough time to wash the car. :)

The social services lady said that there is a couple who wants to adopt Aldo, and since neither Fernando nor Doris have done what's needed to qualify to adopt him, they are going to allow the other couple to adopt him. So sad for all of our characters, but I kind of feel it would be best for the little guy to go into a stable home with just two parents, instead of this crazy situation with Fer-Isa and Doris-Aldo.

The last 10 mins were missing from my recording as well because the first 10 mins were taken up with Congress proudly announcing, like a 2 year old who went to the potty, that they had actually done their jobs for a change and passed something.

Karen, first of all, thank you so much for all the time and effort you have put into recapping this delightful TN. I really appreciate it. It has become one of my favorite TN. I am surprised they didn't show it at night.

This episode was fun, finally.

Willy Boy can really dance! Finally, Lucia stopped crying.

I don't know why Fer agreed to sell the company. Is he setting up Jorrible?

Knuckles losing all of his inheritance was great. It couldn't have happened to better guy - and he even signed the papers allowing it! Divine Justice. And to top it off, he is stuck with Barf.

Rosemary Primera

Rosemary- Thanks for the reminder of my other favorite part of the episode-- Knuckles and Barf finding out they are broke! Hahaha!

Yes, Fernando and the cops are setting Jorrible up to find out what's the source of all his (dirty) money.

Huge thanks to all of you who so faithfully recapped this delightful telenovela. Karen, you've been super to keep the ball rolling on our Spanish lessons. I'm sorry I had to miss a month of episodes, but on the plus side, the plots did seem to accelerate faster than normal.

These last episodes are mostly a ton of fun. I was so happy to see Mauricio become a victim of his own laziness and stupidity and Barf is just the girl to rub his face in it.

Vivi, Mr. Sharkbait and I are howling at your Congress analogy. Well said!

Vivi - thanks for your correction about baby Aldo. Though its sad for our characters, it is better the baby is in a stable home. And ITA w/Sylvia and Mr. Sharkbait that your congressional analogy was great!

RP - this was quite a nice TN. The only bad thing is the extensions Uni gives to most comedies which can almost destroy a good TN.

Yes Barf and Knuckles getting nada was excellent.

Sylvia - you had another excellent adventure with your travels and we were happy to have you when you had on-line access.

Karen, our adventures are on a bit of a hiatus because we are still in Ensenada getting our boat painted. Luckily we have pretty good wi-fi, food here is absolutely amazing and there is always something interesting going on. The good news, thanks to my telenovela, er, Spanish lesson addiction my Spanish is pretty good. So our Spanish lessons really work!

Let me join the chorus of kudos to everyone who went the extra mile to recap this afternoon TN. It's been a charmer. Karen you've really done great work.

Mostly fun today. I guess they are keeping the mayhem for the finale. The wedding was sweet -- especially Tuqueque. And yes the "Chos" all cleaned up nicely.

I loved watching Mauricio & Barf chasing the fortune that was -- and is no more. Mauricio signed that power of attorney without even reading it & now the Lic has gone bye bye and it was all legal.

The picnic was tiresome. Please put us out of our misery, writers. Let Zoe stare deeply into Cecilio's eyes and choose already.

Güera

Karen-You are too kind. All the credit goes to you and the others who recapped.

I was disappointed that Doris won't have Aldo, but I guess it is for the best.

I love the Barf/Knuckles comeuppance. (PS: Barf will also be in the Marimar remake with Daniel and AB.)

Thanks, Karen! You've done so much to keep our recaps going.

Great wedding. The cockatoos looked so handsome with their hair combed down and the dancing was lots of fun. I was a little surprised that Willy G would leave his beloved car all muddy, and really shocked that he would get into it to drive back in muddy clothes. I sort of expected him to strip down to save the upholstery.

The picnic was annoying but I did laugh when FFFFF threw the stick and knocked down the kite. I expect that kind of bratty behavior from him, yet it was random and unexpected. But Cecilio, really? No one believes you need to hold someone around the waist to help her fly a kite, and shaking the soda was childish. He's supposed to be the mature one. Why are we still having this stupid plot?

It ain't over 'til it's over. Doris and Poncho might still get Aldo, especially if Jaibo insists that he and Mayela wanted them to have him.

I didn't see the end either. I got a chunk of Cuidado con el Angel at the beginning.

Güera - The Knuckles/Barf fiasco is quite fun. I wonder how soon the divorce will come and when others will find out about their marriage.

Sara - I too was sad for Doris but as Julia has noted, they still might get Aldo.

And you are too modest. You held down the fort for several months on this TN.

Julia - thanks for the info on your new pic. Mr C acting as foolish as F5 is just more evidence someone thought it was a good idea to drag a bad story out longer.

Oh I can't remember who said it last week but I definitely saw the baby's resemblance to Cecilio yesterday.

I'm going to miss this show, especially the dancing bits with the chochos. I wish I could get the song by La Klave that they keep playing. For some reason it is not available to buy anywhere!

Which song is that, Julia. The one that starts "Eres mi carita de angel" that they play for Willy and Lucia? I haven't been able to find it either.

First Karen thank you. All I can say is hang on to your hats it's going to be a bumpy ride. Now tell the truth, didn't you feel satisfied the Mauricio and poor girl got a bit of comeuppance! I've been waiting for these episodes on tv for a long time, having watched this on the web repeatedly. All I can say is I enjoy it. This site is just so amazing, I thought I was the only one annoyed with Zoe's storyline. I think at the end you will decide she does pick the right one. I have to admit I have ff through Zoe's and Doris' storylines. What am I going to do with myself once this ends, this is a TN I would love to buy, but they always shortchange the DVD's.

The one I want is called "Si Te Marchas No Vuelvas" and it's more of a dancey tune. I found a video with it on YouTube, but I want to download the song, and not from some sketchy site.

Oh that one is good too, Julia. (You wouldn't happen to know how to get ahold of UFCS music, would you?) I agree about downloading from sketchy sites.

Drat I forget to say to Nellie that I really hope this one comes out on DVD. I know it will be shredded to pieces but I would still buy it.

Tuesday Recap:

I worked from home this afternoon, so I got to watch this live. A few good plot resolutions today, so let’s get to it.

Part 1:

War of the Roses—Jr. Addition
- Knuckles and Barf go to see a lawyer about getting fleeced out of his inheritance. Since Knuckles was the one who signed over power to his lawyer, there is nothing the new lawyer can do. Barf throws his stupidly in his face.
- Willy and Juancho find out that it was Knuckles who bought the car for Barbara. They go to Knuckles’ apartment, where they find out that he and Barf are married and that they married “por interes.” Willy and Juancho have to drag her out of the apartment. Knuckles is more than happy to see the back of her.
- Once back at home in the hood, Barf unleashes a load of verbal garbage on Lala, Willy and Juancho—blaming her mom for the “misery” she grew up in (like having to wear non-brand clothing, the horror!). She proudly admits she married Knuckles for money, then takes her car keys and her roll of cash and leaves, forever (hopefully).
- Barf picks up her car from the car park, and leaves without paying the attendant, who had agreed to watch it for her all this time for a heavily discounted price. As soon as she gets to the first stop sign, she is car jacked. The crooks take her roll of cash and her car and dump her in the middle of nowhere. Hahaha!
- Barf makes her way back to Knuckles’ apartment, and stakes her claim. She now owns half and she’s going nowhere. If Knuckles wants to get rid of her, he’ll have to sell the apartment and give her half of the money. The two then spend the next many scenes fighting over who gets to sleep in the bedroom, whether or not to draw division lines in the apartment, and generally fight over everything. An accent pillow is sacrificed.

Horty Gets Hit in the Checkbook
- Cecilio informs Horty that with Margarita and Jorge as witnesses, and Willy’s tape, she’s going down in court for the newspaper accusations. Plus, he’s adding a suit for Margarita and Jorge for the way she fired them. She better settle. Horty refuses, then calls Margarita and offers her job back and a raise. Margarita refuses and tells Horty she can stuff it. She’ll see her in court. Yay!!!!
- Horty has no choice but to call her lawyer and tell him to make an offer of settlement. Cecilio forces her to double her offer. Lucia now will have enough money to buy the Casa Hogar and she and the ladies won’t have to move out in a week. Yay!

La Que No Puede Decidir
- The writers and Zoe refuse to put us out of our misery. Zoe STILL can’t decide between Cecilio and Felipe. We are given yet another reason why this choice should be OBVIOUS: Both guys decide to send Zoe a little detail of affection. Felipe sends a Demented Bear-o-Gram—a guy in a GIANT bear suit accosts Zoe in the apartment, dances around like a maniac singing very loudly, and pops all the balloons he brought with him- scaring the bejeezus out of the baby. Zoe calls Felipe wanting to know if he’s the one who sent the demented bear and he LIES and says it was Cecilio. When Cecilio shows up a bit later, carrying a beautiful white orchid for Zoe, the baby is still crying and Zoe is shooting him daggers with her eyes. He quickly clears up that he wasn’t the culprit, Zoe realizes it’s just like Felipe to lie, and baby Pelusa immediately calms down when Cecilio takes her. Then he and Zoe proceed to have a pleasant, adult conversation where they are both smiling from ear to ear. Even Sarita realizes that Zoe and Cecilio look like a great couple and she invites him to stay for dinner.
- Unfortunately, Felipe shows up with an apology balloon, interrupting dinner. Instead of finally coming to the obvious decision after this latest debacle, Zoe tells them BOTH that she wants to be alone. She doesn’t want either of them to woo her or to come see her. She needs time and space. (Forehead, meet hand. Doh!) Cecilio accepts this with sad eyes. Felipe whines a lot.

Tuesday Recap Part 2:

Baby Aldo is Closer to a Home
- Because Fer isn’t divorced from Mani and married to Isa, and Doris has a record, they don’t meet the requirements of social services to adopt Aldo. They are letting another couple adopt him.
- Felipe and Cecilio decide the only way to fix this is if Jaibo takes back his paternal rights, and then directly signs over custody to Doris and Fer. Felipe goes to Jaibo in jail, and Jaibo signs the needed papers. He asks to receive updates on how the little guy is doing.

Two Dirty Birds with One Stone
- By investigating the two goons protecting Jorrible, Idrogo finds out they are connected to Mr. Smith, a wanted criminal.
- Idrogo sets up a sting to catch Jorrible paying Fer with dirty money for his part of the company. The cops hide in Poncho’s office, ready to watch the transaction. One of the cops poses as the notary who will legalize the sale. Since I have no idea how this would have actually proven that Jorrible is a criminal, it’s a good thing it fails. Jorrible overhears the cops talking when he gets to the office and turns around and leaves. The cops give chase, with Jorrible unaware he’s being followed.
- Jorrible leads the cops right to Mr. Smith’s lair. He returns the money, tells Mr. Smith the plan failed, and says he’s leaving the country. Mr. Smith is NOT pleased. He has his henchman pull that big gun on Jorrible’s head again, and this time he’s not going to have mercy. The cops burst in just as Jorrible is about to meet his maker. For the first time ever, Jorrible is probably happy to see the police.

Thanks Vivi! This was a great episode except for the silly Zoe/F5/Cecilio crapola.

Oops, I hit publish early. I meant to add that it's kind of interesting that Barb and Mauricio actually have some kind of chemistry. I'll bet they had fun doing their fight scenes.

Sylvia- ITA. They do have chemistry. They could actually have a lot of fun if they decided to work together. But I guess they are both such selfish people that they would never think of that.

By the way, the should be Jr. Edition, but I didn't feel like going back and deleting the post for on mistake.

Vivi thanks so much for this wonderful recap and for contributing recaps over these last few weeks!

Loved your War of the Roses Jr Edition. Barf and Knuckles do have chemistry. I wonder if they needed more than one take for the pillow fight b/c I expected them to start laughing at any moment. Unfortunately they are both selfish and self-centered so things may not work out for them.

Sylvia - ITA w/about the Zoe's suddenly lost all reason plot. Boo, writers, boo.

Nellie - yes I'm quite pleased that Knuckles and Barf are getting a dose of what they put Juancho and Marisol through for most of this TN. It's a good thing this is a comedy b/c I would expect Barf to come to a bad end after being so mean to her mom.

Sara - perhaps if it comes out on DVD they will cut the filler (like Zoe's not having a brain) and you'll get something that accurately resembles the TN.

Vivi, thanks for this recap and all of the others. I appreciate it.

We all know that Zoe doesn't have a brain but I had hoped that she had heart that would tell her what do but that option is not looking good at this point. So, unless she great a brain or heart I guess she is better off being alone.

Bark and Knuckles were like two little kids fighting over the pillow but I guess is what they are!

Finally, it looks as if Jorrible will be arrested along with Mr. Smith and his minions. Fun times ahead for Jorrible. I wonder what the charges will be?

It was fun seeing Horny paying for her sins with her checkbook.

Rosemary Primera

Great recap, Vivi. I share your delight with our squabbling couple and exasperation with our air-headed baby-mama. At this point I don't know why either of the lics even wants Zoe! Maybe they could adopt Pelusa and she could go back to doing...whatever it is she does.

I have a few points of confusion, if anyone could help:

- When Willy went to the car dealership, he told the salesman that his sister was missing and MENOR DE EDAD, and the salesman was more than happy to give out Knuckles' info. If she's MENOR DE EDAD, how is the marriage valid?

- The cops said that Mr. Smith's real name is Rodarte, which makes him look like an actual Mexican. Is his accent fake, then? If not, QTH?

Thank you Vivi for your recap. I could not believe they cut so much from yesterday's episode. We did not see the car stolen, (a deserving scene) I think they may have cut a scene with the Grand Dame and her nutty daughter. I believe there was another scene with the Grand Dame when she finds out she has to pay more money. At least the allowed the maid to get her two cents in, am glad they left that in.

BTW, the actor who plays Cecilio is also in Fernando Colunga's new TN, almost playing the same type of character.

I'm annoyed that they're cutting stuff out. Argh. And once again, I didn't even see the end of what did air because Uni decided to run things 7 minutes behind schedule. Thanks for the great summary, Vivi.

Maybe Zoe is having some postpartum hormonal/fatigue brain fog or something. She used to be at least a little smart. She was the one who always knew when EWM was behind the evil stuff going on, and things like that, and she knew very well that she liked Cecilio better.

If Barf is underage, the marriage probably isn't valid and possibly Knuckles could be charged with statutory rape. What a lovely honeymoon those two are having.

I'm enjoying Horty's downfall. She's just so befuddled as to why everyone isn't falling in line with her imperious orders.

Is Barf really underage? I thought she was already 18; I remember the fit she threw about not getting a swanky party but I don't know how far away her birthday was supposed to be then.

I also thought that Barf had already had her 18th b-day. That was one of the reasons Lala couldn't force her back home when she moved out because she was of age. Willy probably just told the guy that to pressure him to show him the sales bill.

You're probably right.

I hope Horty ends up losing everything in lawsuits brought by all the people she's wronged and her house ends up as another casa hogar while she's living in humble misery someplace else. Wouldn't that just get her goat?

Off to watch the epi now. Back in a bit.

Lo de miércoles I: the good news

- Willy & Lucia get their checks from Horny, arrange to buy the Casa Hogar, and decide to incorporate into a Foundation called "Carita de Angel."

- Jorge & Mr. Smith are arrested and put in maximum-security prison. Idrogo breaks the news to a devastated Beba (anybody need "no puede ser" on their bingo card?) but he confessed, so she can't argue. Idrogo comforts her.

- Ceci tells Fernando the judge gave him an annulment instead of a divorce because Manny was such a crackerbox and everybody is over the moon, presumably because now he and Isa can marry in the church.

- Fer gives the constructora employees a pep talk, tells them money is tight but no one will be laid off, and makes Isa a VP.

Lo de miércoles II: videomontage

- diamond rings and wedding mags and other girly stuff

- the Maris snub Hortensia

- Doris & Poncho get Aldo

- Tuqueque gets his beca

- Marisol graduates from H.S.

- the lics babysit Pelusa

- Beba visits the Casa Hogar ladies and cries

- Lu Chong gives Fernando a tai chi lesson

Lo de miércoles III: the anvils

- Horty meets Manuela in a park and gives her a final payoff -- her inheritance from her Dad. Horty says she's selling the house and putting the money in a bank account for Manny and going away: she's been a bad madre, a bad suegra, a bad abuela and an all-around bad person, and no one will miss her. It sounds pretty suicidal, but later on she leaves the house with some big suitcases, so I guess not.

- Manny opens a piece of mail Horty gave her, finds the annulment, and goes gaga as per usual.

- Zoe gives Felipe the push but manages to be just as tiresome about the whole thing as she's been all along, so it isn't very satisfying. Felipe calls Cecilio from a bar and tells him to take good care of Zoe. Then he sees a cute girl and...

- Ceci calls Zoe and asks her to dinner, and she agrees.

- BIG FINISH: Manny hides in the back of Isa's car while she and Lucia are in the girly-girly wedding gown store, and as they leaves she whips out the pistol and forces them back to Horty-house, where she makes them tie each other up on the bed. Only it's not sexy.

- AVANCES: Manny fires the gun!!!

Blue Lass, short and FUNNY. I like. Can't wait to watch today's episode.

Thank you Blue Lass. I found Manny's pop goes the sleazel scene rather funny.

You described the Zoe dumps Felipe scene well.

Blue Lass - thanks so much for your recap. ITA w/you about Zoe. After all we have been through with her and her horrible husband, I can't be bothered about their weepy end or her continued ignoring of his reprehensible behavior. It should have ended months ago.

Things were going so well and then gun-totting Manny shows up. With all of her crimes, I'm seeing her die as opposed to prison. But maybe she and Jorrible can meet up in the pokey.

Blue Lass,

Thanks for the recap and all of the others you have done for this TN.

I hate the last few days of TN, they always seemed rushed and today was no exception.

It was a pleasant surprise when Fer talked to his employees. Good for him! After all the company had been through I am sure they appreciated being in the loop for a change.

I couldn't even feel sorry for Horny. She deserved her self imposed punishment. But I do wonder what she will live on. She must have had a substantial bank account that was all her, and just hers.

I was funny watching the two bad guys going to a maximum security prison, they looked like they were going on vacation. Mr. Smith had his shades on and Jorrible still had his white shirt and sports jacket.

Doris did the right thing going to visit Jaibo!

Willy Boy was sweet when he gave Lucia an engagement ring - it was about time.

Who in the world is going to the hospital tomorrow?

Rosemary Primera

Blue- Short and sweet recap. That montage of happy times helped.

I just laughed and laughed when Mani popped up in the back seat with a gun and Isa and Lucia screamed. I was wondering why the two of them were wearing pants today. Then when I saw them being tied up I realized it was for ease of filming being tied up. :)

I couldn't work up any sympathy for Horty either. I hope we're not done with her, because she'd be getting off too easily.

I did feel bad for Beba with the Jorrible situation, but couldn't help thinking good riddance to bad rubbish! Willy can be her adopted son and his and Lucia's kids can be her grandkids.

I was also underwhelmed by Zoe finally kicking Felipe to the curb. Her declaration of love to Cecilio better be good.

Every time Zoe says Felipe is a "gran hombre," I want to hurl. What exactly is so GRAN about him? He's been a nickname-for-Richard from the very beginning. Sheesh.

RP & Vivi - ITA about not having any sympathy for Horny. And I hope she doesn't get off that easily.

BL - I'm so with you on Zoe and this GRAN hombre nonsense. I feel like she must have had a lobotomy to make that statement.

Blue Lass, thanks muchisimo. Very snappy recap.

Agree with all y'all about Zoe's amnesiac dithering about FFFFF. He's not that great. He made her miserable. I'm annoyed we're wasting time on this in the last rushed episodes.

I guess I need my beanie to believe Isa and Lucia wouldn't have seen EWM hiding in the backseat. Or am I the only one who heard too many scary campfire stories as a kid and now checks the backseat before I get in the car every time?

As much as I wished we were spending the time on new excitement, I did like Horty's flashbacks of the good times, especially the dancing. She could have had a lovely life with her family and close friend; it is her own fault she ruined everything. So ha. Good riddance.

If by "great man" Zoe meant a lying, cheating, immature jerk, then I guess that would describe him. *shrug* The only good thing she has ever said about him is that he makes her laugh. A clown can accomplish the same thing...The only other redeeming trait he has shown is actually caring for his daughter (which surprised me). That's a good thing, only for Pelusa's sake. But she would be just fine with step-dad Cecilio.

Julia, are you adding dichos to your vocab list? Because when the cops arrested Jorge and Meester Smith Idrogo quipped "Tarde o temprano, termina pagando". Too true Idrogo!

OMG that EWM is a litterbug! She threw the annulment papers on the ground and walked away. She reminded me of Pigorio (El Tal) when she scared Isa and Lucia and insisted that Fernando "es mio!"

And ewwww! The girl that F5 was ogling in the bar looked just like Marisol. Dude, really?

I can add dichos to the list...later.

I had a flashback to El Tal, too, when she said "es mio!" The writers on that one really loved that...the mom hardly said anything else! "El cheque es mio!" over and over...

My favorite part of the episode was the two seconds of Fer doing tai chi with Lu Chong.

Ha ha, Julia, that was my favorite part, too.

On El Tal, don't forget Lucrazy -- "PEDRO ES MIO!" They were a grabby bunch.

Did Beltbuckle ever say "Camila es mia"? I can't remember. I didn't really listen to much of what he said ;).

Well, I'm sure he was thinking it. I use the term "thinking" loosely.

Mostly what I remember about Antonio were his whiskey breakfasts and how The Belt Buckle would always enter the room first. I've got to believe that he said "Camila is MIA" at least once.

Remember when the repo guys came to take Renato's apartment and El Viral kept crying "Todo esto es MIO, Es MIO". Then they got to tell her payments hadn't been made for two year. Bwahahaha! That was funny. I remember that from the Gran Final quiz.

Manny ties up and torments Isa and Lucia. She starts getting very intimate w/a pic of Fer on her bed in a way that reminds me of David Zepeda and the wall in La Fuerza del Destino.

Zoe goes to dinner w/Mr C and FINALLY accepts him. He has brought her to a nice restaurant and they kiss. Hurray!

Poncho's software will be used by a video company and that makes he and Doris even more happy.

Everyone associated w/Isa and Lucia (Willy, Sarita, Zoe, and Fer) is starting to get nervous about them b/c neither are answering their cell phones. If only Sarita's feeling told her they were kidnapped by EWM.

Willy and Fer actually go to the police and Gabino naturally fingers EWM. The 3 of them go to bridal shop. Thankfully Gabino goes to the parking lot security to see the tape from yesterday. Guess what he finds? EWM getting in the car before our poor victims.

EWM calls Fer and tells him he must give himself to her for the lives of Isa and Lucia.

Willy and the casa hogar ladies wring their hands.

Gabino tells Fer about his findings and then we are subject to EWM dressing up as a trash collector to take Fer to her house. Honestly I really hope we aren't subject to much more of crazy Manny. She is functioning in such a way that the only options are jail, manicomio, or death. I want option #3 and hope this plot ends today.

The thing is that Fer is so much taller than EWM and though she has a gun he can over power her.

Willy comes over (Horny's house) and I am actually concerned about him. He is distracted by a worker, who is telling him no one is there, until he hears gun shots.

Meanwhile Isa and Lucia manage to untie themselves. And Fer comes to their rescue them but EWM stops them. She is making Fer tie Isa and Lucia up again when Willy comes in and fights with EWM. She shoots him and then Fer finally gets the gun away from her and she is knocked out.

Naturally when our slow-witted heroes and heroines leave the room no one take the gun as EWM is unconscious. Seriously folks. This obvious error enables EWM's last stand as Willy limps down the stairs w/Lucia and Fer on either side of him. Crazy appears, curses and shoots at them. She then dramatically falls down the stairs to her death. I must credit the writers for both ending this story today and the irony in EWM dying in the same way she killed her sister.

Thankfully tomorrow will be boda city and more of the over-the-top happy stuff I love.

I still remember clearly the scene in which we were introduced to Antonio aka Beltbuckle. Possibly one of the finest telenovela scenes ever filmed. He didn't even say anything, and we knew EXACTLY what this guy was all about. Brilliant. Too bad the show went so far downhill from there.

Thanks, Karen. Your recap has me eagerly awaiting the viewing. And although I don't really want to watch EWM obsessing over Fer some more, your comparison of her scene to the Romancing the Wall scene in LFDD really cracked me up.

Oh those fond memories of El Tal. Belt Buckle definitely said Camilia es mia.

And yes Fer and Lu Chong doing tia chi was great. I could have had much more of that and much less Manny.

Julia I thought of you and others here b/c all of us saw "Romancing the Wall." It was TN gold and something we'll be able to share w/newbies and laugh all over again.

The first time I saw Romancing the Wall was one of the few times I laughed so hard I cried watching a telenovela, and had to pause the recording.

Ah, Ivan and the Wall had more chemistry than Ivan and Lucia. What a romance! :)

Karen- Thanks for the recap. I haven't seen the episode yet, but happy to hear that Mani finally meets her maker.

Karen, thanks.

Ding, Dong, the Witch (EWM) is Dead, Finally!

I always enjoy the parallels in the TN and this one did not disappoint.

I cannot believe that Willy Boy has to make another trip to the hospital, poor guy. But I guess the nurses enjoy the hunk as a patient.

It was really dumb that 4 adults could not overcome EMW.

I guess tomorrow will be a whirlwind wedding dress day.

Julia - though I laughed during the scene I think my biggest laugh was reading our responses to the description of it and all the snark afterwards (like Vivi's post). I was glad I read it at home and not at the office as I just kept laughing.

Vivi - It was sad the lack of chemistry between the leads. You'll enjoy the good things that happen in the episode and capping it off with no more Manny.

RP - yes the witch is dead. It was just sad they couldn't take her earlier and then they left the gun with her. Hadn't she proven she was violent and crazy without leaving bait around?!

Manuela just got to terrorize everybody until her very end. That wasn't very satisfying. I would have preferred to have her sister torture her a bit more before she fell down the stairs. The "hapless heros" don't begin to know all the things Manny has done.

Thanks so much to all you recappers, especially our dedicated Karen who brought us through this whole telenovela! I really enjoyed it except this past week which has been pretty sloppy.

Daniel Arenas starring with Ana Brenda Contreras in a new one. I don't think I'll ever forget his interpretation of "Wiily boy".

Thanks for the life-saving recap, Karen, with all the delicious detail -- our power was out yesterday, so no Amorcito for me! Fortunately, I already had "fall down stairs" on my bingo card from the first twin. ;}

So where did Zoe leave it with Cecilio? Is she just going to give him "una oportunidad," or is she going to put the poor guy out of his misery and make some kind of commitment?

Ladies, all of you are so funny!

I am more than pissed maybe my DVR is broken, I keep missing scenes such as when Horny packed her bags and left. I do notice that there is a skip. I don't want to miss today's last episode simply because I love it. But from reading this, I think some of you may be surprised. And I want to add, for your enjoyment put on your dancing shoes! I like the person who catches the bouquet!

Sometimes I think with this TN, that the writers/producers realized that they did not have to go there in dramatic turns, and could have kept this on the light side, I think that's why so many of the "villians" did not meet a grisly end.

As I said many times and having watched this many times, I think this was one of my favorite TN's.

Well from what I've seen in tvynovelas Fernando Colunga's new one starts soon, maybe in less than a month at 8 pm, I think you will like that one too.

Nellie, could you re-write your post? It's a little spoiler-y.

Audrey - thanks for the kind words and nice to see you.

BL - it seems Zoe is going to move forward w/Mr. C. She just has to divorce F5. Sorry to hear about your power being out. You can catch yesterday's episode for free on hulu.

Nellie - Though the writers/producers may try to keep things light, Manny has done some really dark stuff and then didn't suffer that much in the end. Thus some of her many crimes will die with her and that is a bit frustrating when the TN was 206 episodes long - someone could have discovered more of her mess.

I too am disappointed in EWM's death. Horny now gets to keep all her money. Sorry, but that just isn't right.

EWM's funeral will be worse than Al's over on AB, no one will be there, not even her mother.

Rosemary Primera

I was disappointed that EWM didn't suffer more, and that she didn't have to face everyone knowing all her evil deeds before she departed.

So we have to cram nearly all the weddings/happily ever afters into the last day, sigh. I wish they'd extend the comeuppance/resolution phase a little more, especially in such a long series.

On the other hand, they did let Willy G be the hero...did they realize everyone loved him much more than our braindead galán Fer? Too bad Moncho couldn't have been the hero by solving the mystery mathematically, like on Mathnet in Square One.

Sooo...finale viewing parties. What's everyone wearing and eating/drinking, if only in our imaginations? Mod or Cavewoman Couture? Print parachute pants á la Jazmin? I assume we will all be having cake, and anything that can be served with rice, courtesy of Lu Chong.

As my favorite character was Meester Esmeeth, I'll be wearing sunglasses and carrying a big briefcase.

And my *least* favorite character was Felipe, so maybe I'll also knock back three double-whiskeys and leer at every member of the opposite sex I see.

Let me see if I have a bob wig, some tight pants with see-through panels, and sky high heels (Mani's wedding outfit)...

I saw a few episodes of Fernando Colunga's new comedy when I was down south and I thought it was fun. I'm planning to watch it. Moncho and Cecilio are in it, plus lots of my other favorites.

Any idea when it's coming, Julia? I'm intrigued as well.

Hey gang thanks for being patient with me. I'll have this up soon.

Boo Univision! Boo! The original grand finale in Mexico was two hours. In order to fit it in the one hour time slot Univision cut out the bachelor and bachelorette parties along with the morning after. These scenes that they cut out were very good scenes and worth watching.

You can watch these scenes here [just scroll down and watch the second and third video]

Enjoy! :)

Finale, part one

Willy is taken to the hospital though he doesn't want to go. Lucia, Fer, and Isa go to make a statement to Gabino.

The men drop their women off at their respective homes and Fer tells F5 about his dirty, rotten, miserable day.

Willy finally gets home and tells his poor worried mother that didn't want to worry her and call; oh Willy have you learned nothing in this TN. Call your mom or they will worry more.

Mr. C and F5 are good about the Zoe situation and share a bro-hug.

Gabino visits Beba and asks her out and she says yes, yeah!

Moncho, Adelita, and abuela send Tuqueque to the school with the worst invitation policy ever. Tuqueque flashes back to all the wonderful times he has had with his family so he decides not to go. Since he's such smart little boy I'm sure he'll get a scholarship with better terms in the future.

The co-padres visit Fer.

Willy and Lucia sign papers for he house and the foundation. She and the now former owner share a hug and Willy joins in. Later he surprises her with a sign on the casa hogar with all their mutual peeps.

Barf and Moncho have been having a clearance sale and he gives her some money.

The ladies have a party for Isa and Lucia. Meanwhile Moncho, Juancho, Chico, and Nacho plan a boys night for Willy. Moncho pretends it will be a spiritual event. The casa hogar ladies bring their babies to Fer's for the younger Maris and Lu Chong to babysit. Interesting party games insue; has anyone ever done that?

Fer and his co-padres spend their night out and we get to hear the "sexy smile" song again.

Anon 8:39 pm thanks for the heads up. I'll see what we missed after I watched the episode.

Thanks Karen! I've played the quarter game before, a variation of it anyway, but never the pepper in the bottle. I'll have to remember that one.

Viernes, part two or Boda, Boda, Boda

Fer gets ready for the big day with help from the Maris and Lu Chong. Mr. C and F5 arrive to assist as well but have a small spat about who will dress Fer; Mr. C wins and gets to pick up Lucia.

Willy and Lala have a touching mother-son moment before the festivities.

Beba gets Lucia her best wishes. Beba's outfit is very elegant - a metallic silver wrap w/turquoise dress.

Leo is back for the wedding to give Isa away, yeah! Mr C picks up Lucia w/the Nacho and Chico looking good again. Fer is very dapper in his suit; when he dresses up, he is good galan material. Padre Tio is officiating (who else) and both couples gather in front of the church.

Fer walks down the aisle with his girls and Willy w/his mom; Leo brings Isa and Mr. C hands Lucia off. Hook up alert - Nacho & Jasmine and Chico & Juanita participating in the wedding as a couple.

After besos outside of the church, Fer and Isa share sweet nothings in the limo. They pop out of the limo giving us the impression that their boda was a TN event.

Ooppps, Manny didn't die. She's in jail and not accepting of her jail sentence. Too bad.

Our two couples arrive at the reception and dance. The writers are clearly evil as it seems Reina may have a future with F5. Seriously! Make that man stay single forevah.

Mr. C and Zoe exchange te amos and he gives her a necklace. Moncho becomes an associate at the gym. Great dance sequence with most of the cast really cutting up. The guys really fight the garters; Nacho and Chico win. Beba gets both bridal bouquets and Gabino just laughs.

Juancho gets boda fever and Marisol kindly tells him let's just date. It looks like Leo and Sarita will be back together and Doris is pregnant. Fer gives a nice speech about his love for Isa. Clearly this cast had a blast dancing as we have another dance sequence. Honestly I think its the most fun I've had at TN reception. The credits show Fer and Isa dancing a waltz.

Thanks Sylvia - I guess I need to brush up on shower games.

Thanks again Karen. Great final recap of a very enjoyable episode. It's a shame they cut a lot of stuff out, but while I was watching online it did feel like there was a lot of filler.

I loved the Bollywood-style dance at the end. Elizabeth Alvarez looked like she was having a complete blast.

I also loved the scene where Barb suggested that Mauricio get a job because she had no inention of supporting him. Yep, those two deserve each other all right.

Karen, great final episode!

I loved the reception, wish I had been invited for real. The dancing was my favorite. Also, I loved that Beba caught both bouquets.

I was not too happy that the witch is really alive but a least she will be locked away forever.

Doris trying to tell Poncho that they were going to have a baby was really funny. When he finally heard the news and fell backwards over the chair was priceless. Doris and Poncho will make great parents.

I noticed Suzie and LuChong together at the end.

I could go on and on so needless to say, the final episode was wonderful.

Rosemary Primera

Rosemary, I noticed Suzy and LuChong too! They were a spiffy couple, she in her retro look and he in his Chinese finery.

Karen,
I can't thank you enough for keeping us going on this site. this was one of my favorite shows. Yeah, yeah -- some stuff went on overlong because of the extension but I so enjoyed the characters -- good and bad.

They really fooled us with Manuela at the bottom of the stairs. That would have been such poetic justice -- meeting her end on the same stairs as her sister. So, of course we all fell for it. But spending 40 years in jail calling out for Sofia to come save her is way more satisfying. And worst punishment of all- no makeup.

Best. Wedding Reception. Ever. The double boda was nice. The limo ride a bit overlong. But the reception was so much fun. I loved the dancing and so, it seems, did the actors. Beba with her double bouquets -- one without even trying-- was cute & Gabino certainly didn't seem to mind.

I didn't catch the Susy / Luchong thing. I'm glad you all pointed it out. I was pulling for her to find someone. Again the Chos looked great. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Thanks for the updates on the Colunga show. If it's due to start in a few weeks at 8 as someone said then maybe it'll slip in right after the end of Por Ella Soy Eva -- also one of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

Bye, all. See you around on another site I hope.

Güera

Karen- Thanks so much amiga for the final recap and for keeping this little group going. This was a cute, stress-free tn to come home to watch each evening. I really enjoyed so many of the characters.

Anon- Thanks for the link to the full finale. I watched that instead of my recording.

There was very little that I didn't like about the end. Really, the only thing I hated was the pairing of Reina and Felipe at the wedding. QTH writers?! Just because she's the last single gal and he's the last single guy, does NOT mean they need to end up together.

On to what I enjoyed:
- I could not stop laughing during the practical joke the Chos played on Willy with the double cast. LOL!
- Willy singing "Yo No Fui" while being falling down drunk.
- Sarita's face when the male stripper starting dancing with her.
- Cecilio sliding down the stripper pole.
- Tuqueque changing his mind about going away. Yay!

The reception was the best reception I have seen in a tn, hands down! Great music and dancing and everyone having a blast. Loved the Bollywood style dance number and am impressed by how much time the whole cast must have practiced to make it look so good. Also impressed that a busty girl like Elizabeth G. was able to dance so vigorously in a strapless dress!

Once again, thanks Karen and everyone else who contributed to this bit of afternoon delight. :)

Weddings usually leave me pretty meh and this one was no exception, but you guys are right -- the Bollywood number was SUPERB. Best. Reception. Ever.

The Suzy/Lu Chong thing was very subtle, just them standing/sitting near each other a lot and being just the same height and all. But imagine the fun they will have together! I picture them out dancing every night.

I loved Beba's dress at the bachelorette party -- very dark purple, short and drapy. Beautiful.

I was really waiting for Felipe's ex-lover to walk down the catwalk at the strip club -- remember, the blonde who wouldn't tell him what she did for a living? But I guess not, or someone would have mentioned it. Oh, well, writers -- opportunity missed!

Yes! Huge thanks again to Sara for starting us off, Karen for taking over and all her recaps and enthusiasm, and all you other recappers for jumping in and helping out.

Blue Lass, that would have been HILARIOUS if F5's date was one of the strippers. I agree, opportunity missed.

I've watched the first 30 episodes of the new Fernando Colunga telenovela and it's pretty amusing so far. I like the casting; some of the characters are very amusing. Erick Elias really hits it out of the park as the two-timing, bad boy, fiance of the protagonista. There are a lot of familiar faces and I've even counted one prop recycle so far. (There are probably more that I didn't notice.) Remember the layered stripey dress that Marisol wore in one of the last episodes? It's recycled on the character "Paty", the protagonista's best friend who is also sleeping with her fiance. Pati is played by Maria Elisa Camargo who played the horrid Kristel Ruiz in Llena de Amor. She plays a similar slutty role in Porque el Amor Manda, but she's a lot funnier and less cruel.

Karen you are amazing. This was truly a labor of love for you and the recappers.

I just watched the Fin and bawled like a baby. It's hard to let go of this one (but luckily the DVD is available for pre-order.)

There might have been a few imperfections to this show, but for the most part it was entertaining and upbeat. The characters were very endearing.

The Bollywood dance was great.

RP, Sylvia, Güera, Vivi, BL, Audrey, Anita, Julia, and Sara - thanks for your kinds words, being there and helping out on this TN. I really did have a blast with the cast and felt rewarded by the wonderful reception.

BL - if only the writers could follow threads like you do. It would have been excellent if F5's old flame showed up.

Sylvia - thanks for the info on Colunga's new TN. It sounds good.

Great finale. I think that was my favorite telenovela wedding reception ever. They did look like they were having a lot of fun dancing!

Shouldn't Manuala at least have been disabled or had her face disfigured from the fall? In the prison scene I was mostly just reminded of how pretty Fabiola Campomanes is without ten pounds of makeup and a sneer on her face.

Sylvia, she's actually funnier than she was as Kristel? I saw a little bit of her in the new one and she was very funny, but I thought she was off-the-charts funny as Kristel, after the first phase of nonstop cruelty. But I have high hopes for the new show.

Did Barf not show up for her brother's wedding, or do I just not remember seeing her there?

This was my favorite telenovela wedding too. What a fun dance scene! So clever. I'm glad they didn't do Gangnam Style. I don't think Barf showed up at the wedding. I think she pretty much blew her family off.

Fabiola Campomanes truly has some amazing facial expressions. She's very convincing when she's sweet and very convincing when she's completely evil.

Julia, I think Maria Elisa Camargo is funnier as Pati (or Pato) Zorilla (yes that's her name!) than Kristel, but maybe only because the mean factor is not there. She's still a schemer and two-timing her best friend, but she's an absolute scream. There is a bit more depth of character for her in this role. Blanca Soto, as an executive/licenciada, is absolutely stunning and seems so much more relaxed than in El Tal. Fernando Colunga is, well, yummy, and seems to be having tons of fun with everyone. He and Jorge Aravena (Chef Hot), who is married to FC's baby-mama (in the show) have great chemistry in their scenes together. Ninel Conde has a terrific comedic role and is really making it her own. There are only a couple of characters that annoy me so much I FF through them.

I really liked the music choices for the reception. Good work, music people.

Well, I did finally watch the finale - especially because I had to see Manny go to jail. And I wanted to see Idrogo and Beba get together.

Hooo boy - Willy cleans up good!!! (of course we already knew that :) ) Diego Olivera is also an exceptionally handsome man. I enjoyed both of them in tuxedo wear. Isabella didn't do much for me, but Lucía was a knock-out.

Boy did they have a lot of fun. So many women at the ladies' bachelorette party! The wedding reception Bollywood bit was just hilarious! Very well danced.

Thanks again to all the dedicated recappers!
