Amores Verdaderos #75 Mon 2/25/13 Telenovela Deathmatch Round 3: the Vengeful Plastic Bombshell vs. the Lovesick Hunky Bodyguard

* Lo refrito: a very angry Victoria tells Kendho that she knows everything, and she just wants to hear it from her mouth. Speak, Kendra, speak! Kendho looks like a trashy deer in the headlight. (No offense to Marjorie de Sousa, she’s gorgeous.)

* Lo nuevo. Kendra sticks to her well-working strategy: she plays the innocent till death. She asks Vicky what she is talking about. What, what… about Nikki’s illness! Whoa, that bullet was close! Kendra tries to hide her relief. Her pretty butt is saved by Nikki, who takes the blame for the farce and states that Barbie didn’t know about anything. Kendho adjusts to the situation quickly, and she says sadly that although Vicky hurt her feelings deeply (I thought that you knew me better!), she’ll help Nikki because she loves her very much. Neta, Kendra, says Nikki, who’s moved by the tramp’s confession. *Viewerville echoes: neta, Kendra?* Victoria apologizes, and Kendho graciously accepts it.

* At Meta Imagen Salsero tries to console his beloved Betty, who’s desperately crying after her son. She confesses to Dances with Sunglasses that she’s scared of Leo the Low who’s definitely stalking her. Later Hilda/Gilda/Whatever joins them, and spills the beans to Bea that she and Paula are best friends forever and she knows that they are mother and daughter.

* In the meantime Guillo, who spends the day in the house of his grandmother, starts asking after his mom.

* In the Balvaneras’ kitchen Arriaga begs Cristina not to work for Kendra. Since he can’t give an acceptable reason for his contempt against, Cris believes that he just doesn’t want her to work at all. No, mujer, I’m very proud of you, and it’s great that you want to improve yourself, but Kendra isn’t trustworthy, because… because she slept with a married man, that’s why! Cris immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion: is that married man you? Answer me! *Angel and Viewerville: headdesk*

* In the garden Adri practices her favourite hobby: stalking. Now she’s taking photos of Liliana, who actually doesn’t mind it. However, when Adriana tells Little Orchid that finally she was given the permission to exhume her daughter, the young girl faints.

* In Neta Equis Nikki’s room she and Guzmán have another fight about who betrayed whom. Frankie tells her that he really, really cares about her wellbeing, and to prove his words, he kisses her very passionately. *Whoa, it’s getting hot in this room.* However, unfortunately Victoria enters the room at this very moment, and she sees Nikki and her bodyguard eating each other’s faces off. Neta Equis notices her mom so she quickly apologizes to Frankie: sorry, Guzmáncito, I shouldn’t have kissed you! Vicky leaves the room, and Frankie, who didn’t notice her, looks totally impactado: come on, Nikki, what are you talking about, it was me who kissed you! Shhhh, man, our mom saw us!

* In the kitchen Crissie’s brain cells finally processed the informations and she decided to believe Angel: all right, he didn’t sleep with Kendra. However, she doesn’t care about Barbie’s private life, and she really wants to work for her… and she will work for her, okay?! One of the handsome bodyguards bring the unconscious Lili into the house, and the Arriagas freak out. Lili finally wakes up, but when she tells her parents that she was just having a conversation with Miss Balvanera, they give serious side eyes to Adriana.

 * Upstairs Frankie’s also in a freaked-out state of mind: oh God, oh God, what have I done, I violated the numero uno rule of my job! Nikki tries to calm him down and tells him that he won’t lose his job, but he isn’t concerned about the job but her: he’s afraid of being separated from her. This melts Nikki’s spoiled little heart and she tells Guzmán that she loves him. Frankie is over the moon.

* Outside of Meta Imagen Salsero notices Leonardo who’s sitting in a car and waiting for Beatriz. Dances with Bangs’s blood pressure goes up to the sky, so he jumps into the car and he shoves his gun into Leo’s arse, I mean, face. *though it’s hard to tell the difference… and no offense to Julio Camejo* Take me to the boy, NOW!

* In Victoria’s room the two Ikkis discuss what happened. Ikki Jr. tries to convince Ikki Sr. that the kiss didn’t mean anything and please, don’t fire Guzmán. It was nothing, really, and it was her fault anyway.

* In the meantime Kendra, who’s waiting for Cristina in the hall, tells Guzmán that he’s a completely indiscreet busybody who should’ve kept Nikki’s secret. Francisco doesn’t give a damn about her, and he tells Barbie that he’s only concerned in Neta’s well being. So don’t you ever mess with Miss Nikki… who deserves better friends than Kendho. Angry Kendrita claims that Guzmi owns her one and this isn’t over yet.

* Victoria reproaches Nikki for being so capricious and for never thinking about the consequences. (Because she, Vicky always thinks before she acts. *The members of Viewerville roll their collective eyes.*) Neta tells her mom that maybe she should be more spontaneous, too, and Vicky agrees, however, she insists that Nikki did something wrong because that kiss obviously meant much for Guzmán, and Nikki shouldn’t play with the feelings of other people. Okay promises her mom that one day she will be just as mature as her. Mom and daughter hug.

* In the bodyguards’ living room the Arriagas keep on harping about Kendra and Cris’s job. Lili thinks that Angel is a little bit selfish.

* Cris tells Adriana that she’s very concerned about Liliana’s strange reactions and their creepy relationship, and she wants Adri to stay away from her daughter. If it is necessary, she’ll make her to quit her job. No, there’s no need for that, says the sad woman, she promises that she’ll never talk to Lili again. In the meantime Little Orchid confesses to her daddy that she feels like Adriana was part of their family.

* In the hall Vicky is about to tell Tomasina what happened in Nikki’s room when the pale Guzmán shows up and says that he’d like to have a talk with her.

* While Cris and Kendho are leaving the house, the Barbie doll decides that from now she'll call Crissie Christine, because it sounds more elegant. Cris likes the idea. Kendra’s phone starts to ring, and while “Christine” is talking with the agent/whoever on the other side (and it seems she’ll be a splendid assistant), Nikki and Kendra have a chat in the garden. Actually, Neta confesses to the most untrustworthy person ever that she fell in love with Guzmáncito. Kendho is impactada.

* Vicky and Guzmán are in the library, and Frankie looks like he’s about to be executed… so his surprise couldn’t be bigger when Victoria tells him that she isn’t angry at him, and she even apologizes for Nikki’s behavior. Please understand her, she has a very low self-esteem, and she’s ill and confused.

* When Arriaga enters the kitchen, Adri also looks like she wants to die, and she asks him about Liliana. She’s better, says the Angel grimly. Adriana promises again that she’ll leave Little Orchid in peace. José Ángel sighs and says that he’s used to her strange behavior because his deceased mother also had a sixth sense. Adri shows him the little picture of La Virgen he gave to her, and she confesses that she’s praying to her every night. The father and the mother smile at each other, and the Angel says that he’s sure the Virgen will grant Adri a miracle if she prays with all her faith.

* Salsero and Leo arrive at a house. The lowlife states that Dances is crazy. In the meantime Hilda/G/W tells Betty that Aníbal hired a supersuper lawyer for her.

* Kendho tries to convince Nikki that Guzmi’s only after her money, but Neta is in LOVE! All right, Barbie only wants her to be happy *side eye from Viewerville*, and the girls give each other a warm friendly hug. As soon as Nikki is out of the picture, Kendho’s smile disappear: she looks really pissed off.

* In the library Vicky says that she wouldn’t be against a relationship between Guzmán and Nikki… but please think this through very carefully. If he isn’t sure about his feelings, please stay away from her. Francisco flashes a wide smile and he assures Victoria that he is in love with Nikki. He tried to prevent it but he couldn’t help falling in love with her. In the meantime the Kendrat, who’s in stealth mode, sneaks to the door and she’s very interested in their conversation. Inside the room Vicky confesses that there’s one thing that worries him much: Frankie is a married man. Guzmán assures her that he’s already separated from Amber and they will divorce soon. Outside Kendho looks like a cat that just ate the canary: I said you’re going to pay, Guzmán, and this is how it will be.

Aribeth: You had quite an epi this evening, especially with Salsero and the low one, and also Kendho. So looking forward to your take on this epi : )

Love the title, Looking forward to the translation tomorrow.
Team Nikki/Guzmancito

Victoria in Texas: Welcome to Caray Caray and to this TN. I see you really like Nikki/Guzmancito. There are alot of us here that are cheering them on : )

Aribeth: Your excellent screen shots have piqued my interest. I have to admit, I did not understand much of Kenra and Francisco's conversation. So frustrating! I'm sure you will spell all of the juicy details out for us.

I savored every second of Salsero using his gun as a razor, stroking Leo's cheek menacingly and fondling his face with the barrel. Much needed and deserved intimidation. Finally, the bully is bullied.

Madelaine, I'm starting to catch the Nikki/Guzmancito fever myself. The delighted, happy grin on Frankie's face last night won me over.

Welcome Victoria! Glad you are with us.

Aribeth, can't wait!

Diana

Thank you Madeleine... I'm the one who signs as Texas. Finally created my acct. Yes I'm 100% cheering for Nikki and Guzman. Thank you and everyone else who takes the time to write these episodes out like this.

Thank you Diana for the welcome, I haven't been on board that long. And yes I do have to admit, they are contagious. I couldn't have been more content.

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

To members of team Nikki/Guzmi: I too had an goofy grin on my face during last night's episode. I may have clapped and squeed a little, too.

Aribeth: I look forward to your recap. I can't for the life of me remember why Guzmi "owes" Kendra. Did she do him some favor in the past?

Hi folks! i have been outside radar mostly for 'life issues'. But i am around. i will not comment until i watch the recording of this one... be back later.

Cute picture, Victoria! welcome!

Cute title on the summary, but does Kendra really have implants? I thought it was just her cleverly designed underwear and low cut tops.

While most on this board seem to like Guzman and Nikki, I think Adriana and Guzman would make a better match.

Sara C: I really don't think Kendho has ever done anything for Guzmi. It seems that Kendho wants to ruin all the Balvanera women's relationships. First Vikki and now Nikki, her supposed best friend.

GoBlueFan from Ohio: I see what you mean about Adri and Guzmi, but I really think now that Nikki and Guzmi are more of a fit. They are just too cute together.

I dislike Leo the low as much as anyone out in viewerville but I didn't get the feeling that Leo was very scared with the gun threat
last night---it was like yeah, yeah
I'll go along to see where this leads or to some point where I can turn the tables on this guy. Replay the video. For the most part, fear was not on Leo's face. Look at how he rolled his eyes when Salsero was talking to him, that wasn't the look of fear, it looked like he was just temporarily
playing along but he didn't seem to have the fear of being shot. I think that Salsero is going to have to get a lot tougher with this guy than juat a threat. However if he goes to far, he risks loosing Betty. Both of these guys are walking on thin lines right now.

Aribeth---I so look forward to your recap. I know that you will bring it on so to speak as last night's epi was getting very interesting.
the gringo

Victoria- You and Marta should merge your family pictures! So glad you now have an identity and an avatar. :)

I think Kendra was saying Guzman owes her because he nearly got her in trouble with Vicky, when he should have kept his mouth shut, like a good silent bodyguard.

Actually, I wish that JA would spill the beans to Guzman about Kendra being Nelson's lover, so that he knows better who he's dealing with. I would say I'd want him to tell Cris too, but with her big mouth, you never know what might be the result of her knowing info like that.

I'm worried Salsero trying to force Leo at gunpoint to return Guillo is going to end badly. Especially now that Anibal is helping Bea do things legally with a good lawyer, this Salsero incident might just put things way back. Or more immediately, there might be a struggle between Leo and Salsero, and anyone (Guillo) could get hurt by that gun.

I meant to say this last time, but I am SO angry at Leo's mom for helping him keep Guillo from Bea, when Bea has not been keeping Guillo from Leo.

Aribeth - Terrific title and set-up shot. Looking forward to your recap.

Loved Salsero taking care of business with Leo, but worried about him entering that house.

Funniest moment for me was Cris first saying "so what" when Jose Angel finally told her Kendra was having an affair with a married man. Cause really most can’t use that as criteria for turning down a job. Don't know if he should tell her the married man is Nelson or not, but Cris has kept her mouth shut about Anibal and Paula.

Hola, I arrived home from work, now I'm working on the recap.

I love the chemistry between Guzmi and Nikki and they are extremely supersupercute, but I find their storyline poorly written. They fight, they kiss, sometimes Nikki throws up, then they fight again, and then they kiss for the 1000th time. (Side note, a few weeks ago Jarocha said that in the original versions Guzmán was less of a saint: he was a younger and more impulsive guy who could't keep his pants on, and he slept with Polita and other female characters. Maybe the writers of AV shouldn't have rewritten him this much.)

Anyway, Neta and Frankie are the typical cardboard telenovela pareja. I enjoy watching them, but they offer nothing new, except maybe from the bulimia storyline.

Compared to them Vicky and Arriaga seem like real people, and their relationship is more complex and realistic (aside from the complete denial concerning their real feelings).

And Salsero and Bea are also enthralling because the "bad boy tries to reform for the love of a good woman" cliché never goes old.

Vivi, I agree that Salsero's accosting Leo may well come back to haunt him in a court case. But being the demented, twisted individual he is, Leo is never, ever going to leave Bea alone. It doesn't matter what the court dictates. He is not going to rest until she goes back to him (which isn't going to happen) or until he kills her. No spoiler - the writing is on the wall.

As gringo pointed out, Leo's cringing and wincing seem forced. While he is not quite utterly stupid, he did respect the gun. He will devour Salsero and anyone else who stands in his way.

At least Bea has a fighting chance with Salsero behind her. Without him, she's done. I'm not a proponent of violence but this is saving a life. Pure and simple.

Diana

Diana- I agree that Bea needs some muscle behind her, as well as the law. And I'm the first to point out that I don't see redemption in Leo's future. But Gringo is right that Leo doesn't seem intimidated by that gun in the least. This situation could really end badly.

What Bea needs is an army behind her. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, in her life needs to be made aware of who Leo is and the threat he poses to Bea. Everyone at MetaImagen, Guillo's school, all the Balvaneras, her mom, dad, brother, all the Ariagas, lawyers, and the police. She can't go it alone, and she can't do it with only Salsero (who will not be able to be with her most of the time as his job is to shadow Nelson).

ITA Vivi. It will take an army, a village - all that and more to stop Leo. Bea also needs to talk to Francisco and quickly. He and Salsero need to find a way to work together, despite one working within the confines of the law and the other who makes no distinction and who crossed over that line long ago.

Diana

Vivi and Diana: I so agree with the both of you that Betty needs all the legal help she can get and I really hope that Salsero and Guzmi put aside their differences and help her out with the low one. Gringo is right, the low one didn't look particulary scared of that gun. I want Betty to have Guillo full time. Being with the horrid one is going to warp poor little Guillo's mind. I don't like the fact that the horrid one's Mama kept Guillo, but I have to say here, she probably only heard the low one's explanation and took it to be the truth. Makes you wonder if maybe the horrid one's Papa was the same as him.

I agree with Vivi about Leo the Low. While I do think he was scared or a combination of "scared and surprised" (because it's obvious he smugly expected to intimidate poor Bea with no impediment) I do think this action of Salsa-Dude's actions will to some extent backfire.

Leo is a well-built guy and a psycho and surely he will fight back against Salsa-Dude, sooner or later. I anticipate that Salsa-Dude will take some blows in one way or another, and that Salsa-Dude's efforts (and suffering, if he does take blows) will add a few points in his redemption column. (No spoilers, I haven't watched ahead.)

BUT as soon as I heard how Anibal was getting a good lawyer for Bea, all the while Salsa-Dude's got a gun to Leo the Low's head, I thought, "Oh no!" I agree, Salsa-Dude's actions will not help the wheels turn at all.

But regardless, I was cheering all through the Salsa-Dude and Leo scenes and was cheering Salsa-Dude on! Squee!

I was so happy for Guzmancito and Nikki. It was so sudden, though! And of course the happiness will be short-lived, as the anvils are lining up very nicely.

REGARDING MY RECAP TONIGHT: I AM HAVING INTERMITTENT EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTIONS. I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO DO TONIGHT'S RECAP. I have a Kindle with Internet access so I can access the Internet regardless of what happens, but may not be able to recap. Crossing fingers, I hope I can. Things look hopeful right now. But I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a potential issue. I will post on this thread (or start a new thread) if I have problems when the time comes. My email is esvidsespanol AT gmail DOT com if anyone needs to contact me.

Since Cris didn't seem fazed when JA told her that Kendra is having an affair with a married man, there is probably no use in him telling her that the married man is Nelson.

I really want Salsero to come out of this telenovela alive and with Bea, in spite of his past misdeeds. Y'all will find me at his table on the patio.

Anibal might be able to get Bea's divorce for her, but divorce alone won't stop Loser Leo from harassing her. They'll always be linked to each other through Guillo. Oy. Oy vey.

Elvira - if you can set something up so that we can discuss tonight's episode, we might be able to patch together a recap for you.

Thanks for the Kendra/Guzmi favors explanation, Vivi :)

The recap is up, I'll add screencaps later.

There are two people that IR would like to see Betty enlist in dealing with her troubles with Leo. One has already gotten involved...namely Anibal. He can be very ruthless and rules don't seem to apply to him.

The other is Turco. I suspect that if he were in charge Leo would already be nursing some broken legs...or worse.

Carlos

Wow, so many syncopal episodes and yet not a single pregnancy...haven't the writers read the manual?

Carlos

Great job Aribeth!

Carlos- Well, no one else but Kendra and Nelson are having sex (and not even them since he earned his third F badge), so the chances of pregnancy are very slim.

Aribeth: Fabulous. I love your recaps on so many levels. It's obvious you enjoy the story and you pay such care and attention to details, always knowing just the right notes to hit: "trashy deer", "Angel and Viewerville: headdesk*", serious side eyes" and my favorite - "capricious" (just because it's a wonderful, sadly underused word).

Adri has indeed stooped to stalking (albeit unintentional). I can't blame Cris for being upset - nor the Angel although he was a little bit more understanding than his hot tempered wife.

ITA - Cris is doing a great job as Kendho's assistant. I was a bit taken back at her not caring Kendho has a married lover though.

Frankie was indeed over the moon...I'm sure Kendra will change that quickly...Ack.

Carlos, here I am trying frantically to think who might help Bea, coming up with a henchman (Salsero) rather than the Godfather (Anibal). Why was I thinking on such a small scale? You are so right - Anibal and Turco are the answers. Turco could play Luca Brasa. Excellent!

Aribeth, thanks so much for the recap and the screenshots.

Can't wait for tonight.

Diana

Diana,

Or Paulie Walnuts.

Carlos

Oooookay, I the screencaps are up, too.

Elvira, I hope your internet will work tonight, but if it won't: don't worry.

By the way, Kendho looked awesome last night. I love her ring.

Thanks for this recap, Aribeth. This made me smile last night and now again today:

"Okay promises her mom that one day she will be just as mature as her."

Neta.

Can anyone walk out of a room any better than Kendra?

Carlos

I’ve finally decided to accept Guzman and Nicky as a couple, because of their similar dysfunctions (they close themselves off and shut people out in order not to expose their emotional scars). But I still don’t know why Guzman “loves” Nicky so much. Yes, deep down she’s a good person, but he has seen far more of her spoiled/nasty side, than he has her good/kind/noble side. I can understand that he feels attracted to her and also feels protective of her, but love? I’m going to have to see some more evidence to believe this is love on either of their parts.

Vivi,

Your Baileys is waiting for you here at the Nikki table.

Carlos

Vivi: I have a similar problem with this couple. They are adorable and we are meant to believe that they love each other... but, no I just can't see it. I accept that they are in love but I can't feel it.

Aribeth,

Resistance is futile...you might as well pull up a chair.

Carlos

Hey! Did you forget that I'm co-founder of Nikki's Table? :P

Just because I'm not mad about her love story, I can adore her, okay? :)

Aribeth,

Sorry...I guess I forgot.

Well, if you're not convinced that Guzmán is the one, Doris said that Roy is coming home soon.

Carlos

Thank you, Aribeth. Love the recap, love the screen shots and especially the perfect nickname: KENDRAT!

Carlos:

Wow, so many syncopal episodes and yet not a single pregnancy...haven't the writers read the manual?

Not only that, this is the first time I can recall someone suspecting a pregnancy because of a missed period (which turned out to be, you should excuse the expression, a red herring.)

To anyone looking for logic (And boy, are YOU in the wrong room):

We like Nikki and Frankie because they are so cute together and they make us smile. Captas?

Carlos,

I just noticed your new avatar. You've been holding back on us, haven't you?

Carlos: I can't say anything anymore because I'm up to date with the Mexican screening (127 episodes aired so far). :)

Madelaine: Kendrat was created either by Marta or by Floridia. :) (I think it was Marta.)

Aribeth – fab recap. Have a good evening. My favorite lines:

“…and he shoves his gun into Leo’s arse, I mean, face. *though it’s hard to tell the difference… and no offense to Julio Camejo”

“In the garden Adri practices her favourite hobby: stalking.”

I give Cris a break on asking Angel if Kendra’s married man was him. After all, her first reaction was “so what.” Cris believes in fidelity, for herself and her husband, but why should she let Kendra’s private life cause her to turn down a job when she’s desperate to leave the four walls and advance just like Angel.

Adriana needs to stop telling Lili the details (exhumation, etc.) about her daughter search and just be Lili’s friend. I get the creeps every time I see her photographing someone through the bushes. I thought Cris was a bit harsh with Adriana, but most good moms I know are ruthless when it comes to their children’s safety, even if the “child” is 18. Angel’s method, talking to Lili about what’s happening to her, is much better though.

I’ll go with Nikki and Guzman because of the great chemistry. Plus Nikki makes me laugh. Bea said Guzman was always a too serious dude, so I guess an immature fresa is just what he needs.

If JA tells Cris that it's Nelson Kendra is messing with, she'll turn it around some kind of way to where it will be, "So you don't like Kendra because she's messing with your precious Sra. Balvanera's hubby? Why do you care so much about your boss lady's private life? Why do you take it so personal? Why? Why? Do you luurrrvv Miss Vikki? Huh? Do you? Huh? Huh?"

Carlos - There have been no pregnancies but there have been a couple of (dis)honorable mentions: 1) When Nikki lied and said she was pregnant by Guzman (rumor which Nabila spread); and 2) an "attempted" pregnancy (when Kendra 'ordered' Salsero to drop trou and 'make' her pregnant so she could blame it on Nelson).
- Oh, and let's hope Leo doesn't already moonlight by working for El Turco. He seems to be just the type of leg breaker that El Turco would hire to collect what's owed to him. Imagine if Leo the Louse was ordered to collect from Felipe. Ouch!

Great job, Aribeth!!

Some lines I liked:
-Angel and Viewerville: headdesk
-Adri's favorite hobby: stalking
-Leo's arse/face
-Neta confesses to the most untrustworthy person ever that she fell in love with Guzmáncito

Such a funny recap.

This show might be somewhat slow-moving/ have pacing issues, but I really like it. For me it's more a show of character studies than action.

Aribeth: Brilliant recap! Wonderful screencaps too! You covered everything so well.

I *think* I'll be able to do the recap tonight, but I'm glad I gave everyone a head's up, just in case. Thank you Aribeth and everyone for assuring me that it'll be covered! You're all the best.

I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode!

Hello CarayWorld. Thanks to all the recappers since last week. I'm all caught up with you, but not the episodes, except for last night. I actually couldn't tell I'd been away.

Vicky's and Guzman's conversation was very sentimental (and she already knew what Nikki had said about the kiss). The truth of the matter, according to Guzi was that NO, she did NOT kiss him, they kissed each other. Kisses and where they come from are very important in Mexican telenovelas. So often we hear that the partner "me correspondiste" or you didn't. In this case Nikki didn't pull away, she kissed him back.

All this happiness on both of their parts is surely going to be short-lived, with her first novio coming back and Kendrat working her black magic. But, por favor, can't they think of anything else more clever than convincing Neta Zero Guzmancito is only after her money? I mean, after all, Gussie just tried it on Amor Bravio a short while ago and fortunately, it didn't work.

Victoria-- Great picture, two adorable kids. OT: Which film version of Pride & Prejudice did you like to put it first? Just curious. If this is your first tn, you've got a lot of catching up to do!

I agree with the folks who think Leo wasn't taking Salsero seriously. He did have respect for the gun, even though he probably knew that Salsa-Dude wouldn't shoot him on the street. OTOH, Viewerville knows most shootings in plain sight are never witnessed by anyone. I only see some hard times ahead for Bea from him.

I think Adri is too messed up to pair well with Guzman or anyone right now. Maybe her guy (was it Carlos?) will be found and he still loves her. Anyballs really has hell to pay for ruining three lives--although if it is Lili, and we all think so, she was raised by two loving parents.

Aribeth, Fabulous as Always !
I am currently LURKING until the end of the novela and not commenting; I'm behind on some work and furiously trying to catch up.

However, I saw my name mentioned, so just stopped by to say that I take no credit for the name KENDRAT. It must have been Marta, the Clever One (of many commenting herein.)

I do like EY very much, but for this TN I mostly have eyes for Salsero...and Beautiful Beatrice.

I too am not feeling LOVE between
G & N. I would be a real
aguafiestas at their table.
To me, so far, this role for SR
offers little meat for him as an actor in contrast to his role in
Teresa where I adored him in spite of his flaws.

Redemption, is needed for many of these characters, and if Vivi is
in the mood someday, she might prepare a detailed list, if she hasn't made one already. She is the QUEEN OF LISTS - among many other skills at which she excels.

2 questions:

Please refresh my memory.
What does NETA - allegedly mean?

Is the actor who plays Guillo
the same child who played
Alonso's Penalvert's son in STUD?

Lurking & Loving all the recaps and comments.

Aribeth, absolutely splendid job on the recap. I enjoyed it very much.
That Kendra is just eh to me, she plays the villain role well.
I couldn't help but smile during the Nikki and Guzmancito scenes. The passion. So relieved Nikki admitted to Guzman that she is love with him.
Even more happier that Nikki's mom now knows about their love for each other.
But something is bound to happen with Kendra plotting, things are a little to chipper for the moment if you know what I mean.

Floridia- The boy who played Al's son in STUD is now in Por Ella Soy Eva playing Lucero's son. This is a different kid.

When you hear Nicky say neta imagine a Valley Girl saying totally. It also means true/the truth.

Vivi,

Thanks..muchísimas gracias.

Aribeth, thank you for the recap. Well done! Your Englsh is as good or better than most people over here. Have you ever lived in the US? Or Canada?

I noticed Adr wore jeans in this episode. None of the long, heavy skirt. Hmmmmm. Could this be a sign?

Aribeth, thoroughly enjoyed your recap and laughed at so many lines: * Angel and Viewerville: headdesk*, Dances With Bangs, Hilda/G/W and so many more.

It's good to know after viewing A V, if I ever go to D F, I'll be fluent in Mexican Valley Speak if the need arises.

GinCA

Aribeth, Thanks for this always marvelous recap, it is truly a jewel. Ah, Kendho, she'll ruin just about everything won't she. I hope the anvil for her is huge. Nikki has enough problems without Kendho adding to them. I'm hoping that Vikki mentions she talked to Guzmi and Nikki will see that her "bff" lied to her.

I do want Salsero to be redeemed and it was scary good what Salsero did to the horrid one, but the horrid one so didn't look scared. I think the horrid one has no idea what a support group Betty really has. He is gonna be really pithed when he finds out.

I was kinda mad a Cris for what she said to Adri. Poor Adri is suffering, you can see it in her face, and I guess Cris is not only jealous of the Angel but also for her daughter. Cris needs to lose the jealousy.

Floridia: Glad to know you are lurking. I miss your challenges and please comment when you have the time : )

Aribeth, sorry this comment is so late... LOVED LOVED the funny recap and the screen captures...
one line did catch my eye and i had to internalize an 'EWWWW!!!!'

Shhhh, man, our mom saw us!

that would make them sibs in love... EWWWW!!!... lol jk, i know what you meant.

and about 'KenDrat', I think it was me, but who cares, we love it and everyone is welcome to use it..

Floridia, depending on what country you are at, and to some extent on who says it, 'Neta' means 'En Serio!' 'Te lo juro!', and all the other 'I am positive!' type expressions.

Martaivett,

Many thanks!
