Amor Bravío #155 (Uni 150) Wed 3/27/13 "Nat Now Knows, Yago is Yucky as Ever and Other News de Aculco"
Dell,
Mena here, and I am back again burning the midnight oil. Hold the page for me again, okay? Viewerville has lots to say about life in Aculco and then some ……. especially since these are the last capitulos of this story. Your job is to keep the comment board open, that’s it, nada mas.
Mena
Mena,
Sure, no problem……. Dum dee um dee dummmmm… Hmmm, no harm in an aside ….. Maja tweeted – she wants a word with the mistress, pronto. She wants her spot on the big pillow on the bed seeing as the big guy isn’t hogging it anymore……. Dum dee um dee dummmmm…….. Tweet to the writers- she wants them to lose the cute baby actress. Dog’s don’t require union rates.

The
Office of the El Orphanage: Viv and Rafa are leaving the office talking to Aaron. They explain that they have to wait for all efforts to find any other family of Roman’s to be exhausted. Roman overhears and asks them if they are really going to adopt him. They explain to Roman that it is not automatic, that a judge will have to decide if they can adopt him. They also tell him that the officials have to be sure to check that there are no other families that would be better ones to adopt him and that he doesn’t have any bio family that would claim him. Roman doesn’t understand and is impatient with what is sure to be an excruciatingly long process in his mind [viewerville is in full agreement with Roman]. He offers to talk to the judge himself. Aaron tells Roman to have patience and Viv reassures Roman to look forward to the future and not worry.
Casita de Dan and Miriam (including Caridad and Agatha and any Other Number of Drop-Ins): Ana and Miriam and Agatha are baking cookies and sharing warmies and smiles with ever- present Caridad somewhere on the sidelines. Dan has arrived and Ana asks Dan to take a photo of the four of them. Agatha conveniently needs a diaper change and Caridad and Ana excuse themselves to handle poopie duty. Alone together, Dan is explaining, again, about being late. This time the reason is because Agustina was recently transferred from el pokito to El Pokote. Lucky for him this is sufficiently bad news and Miriam focuses on the news rather than Dan’s lame excuse again. Dan asks when Mariano is coming to take his kid home so that he and Miriam can go to the doctor appointment. Miriam tells him that the appointment was cancelled because the doctor went on vacation. QTH? Dan insists that Miriam needs a second opinion – that she cannot return to Chile without it. She disagrees etc. Dante arrives to interrupt the back-and-forth. He gives Dan the bad news that the audiotape cannot be cleaned up by the local IT team and that they need to send the tape to the big city for work.
The
Pastures of La MQ: Pablo and Rodolfo moon about not being among the happy couples Eleuterio and Dorotea and Piedad and Hipolito.
Casita del Dan and Miriam: Dan vents frustration to Miriam and Dante that Isa and Dio still have no evidence against them that would put them in jail once and for all. Dadnabit @#$$! Dan hates leaving La MQ (translation: Camila) with all this unsettled biz. He assures Miriam (who of course inquires if this will keep them from returning to Chile) that they will still be returning to Chile. Nonetheless, he is PO’d that his sacrifice has been for nothing. What sacrifice, asks Miriam? Dante quickly adds, why the sacrifice of nearly dying and drowning on his way to Mexico [Viewerville suspects Dan refers to the giving up Camila sacrifice which will remain a secret from Miriam for now]. Miriam tries to calm him by telling him that Abe and Gaston will be working from Chile to do what they can to catch the bad guys in Mexico. Dan huffs off and she worries to Dante about Dan’s attitude – that it seems as though he is being forced to go back to Chile (along with being forced to resume his husbandly duties) and she doesn’t like it one single bit.
The Big House: Agustina is checked in with prints and pics and is left purpleless. She has a new cellmate, Carmela. Carmela welcomes Agustina saying that if she acts right and does what Carmela tells her to do, all will be well. If she doesn’t, well, life will be hell.
Courtyard of La MQ: The happy rancheros, Pablo and New Girl give a hurrah to the new bulls that have arrived. Camila and Luzma walk up and Camila gives them the bad news that Agustina has been moved to The Big House. Camila’s phone rings with seriously disillusioned Nat on the other side. Nat is calling to offer her help to gather evidence against Deceptive Daddy Dio. Scene switches to Nat on the lawn of the house that Daddy bought as she hangs up with Camila. Behind her she hears a voice! She freezes – no puede ser! She turns to see Dio standing at the top of the stairs asking what she is doing there. Thinking on her well-balanced wedgies (finally) she tells Daddy Dio she was just coming to meet with Curtain Lady. She smartly turns the table to ask them what they are doing there, hmmm? Ummm, well, the pair come up with some lame story about fixing up a surprise for Nat. Daddy Dio wanted to take the opportunity of their upcoming honeymoon to load their house up with specially picked furniture. Guau! Thanks Daddy, she smartly says, going along with the story. She tells him she loves surprises with a wink and a nod to viewerville. Yes, thanks, Don Dio says Yago. Nah, it is Dio’s pleasure to please the light of his eyes, Nat. Oh, and no need to call me Don Dio, he tells Yago, I am your father-in-law, after all.
Courtyard of La MQ: Everyone is happy to learn that Nat is on the side of the good guys and will help them get Dio’s briefcase. Camila also informs them that they must be careful while they plot against the bad guys. She also informs them that Dio will be visiting the ranch after dinner to talk to her. Los rancheros vow to punch his lights out if he tries anything. Piedad tells Camila that she is praying to the Virgincita for a milagro. If that fails, maybe She will divinely deliver a bed for Dio and Isa in a concrete slab courtesy of the frustrated tourist site developers.
The Big House: Agustina continues to get acquainted with Carmela. Agustina confides that the experience of jail is horrible for her while Carmela asks if she expected it to be a castle. Agustina claims she is innocent. That is what everyone says, Carmela tells her. No really, Agustina insists that she was a dope who was duped by her husband and when she became a detriment to him, he turned her in for fraud. But of course, that’s men for you, Carmela exclaims in solidarity with Agustina. Carmela tells her of her own story of betrayal by a man. She says that one day she discovered her man was abusing their daughter and when she threatened to turn him in, he pulled a pistol on her. Well, she decided it was him or it was us, and she decided to save us. She shot him dead. No regrets except for missing her daughter.
Courtyard of La MQ: Hippo asks a favor of Los Rancheros. He wants them to take care of Piedad and Luzma if anything happens to him in the plot to steal Dio’s briefcase. Discussion ensues about this plan.
Kitchen of La MQ: Luzma calls Dan to tell him that Nat has agreed to help in the plot against Dio. She adds that after Camila and Mariano cenar, they are going to el hostal to talk to Nat about the plan. WTQ? Dan goes into jealous thought bubbles about Mariano and Camila spending time together. He mentions his blood boils thinking about the two of them, even though he knows it is selfish.
Camila’s Cabana: Trip down memory lane about Dan swearing they will never need to part, Agustina being led away in handcuffs and other tear-jerking scenes.
Botanica del Pueblo: Isa buys some new magic herbs and she and the shopkeeper exchange recipes for a more potent brew that Isa can give Cayetano. They decide it is better to add the magic herb drops to a hot toddy or something to strengthen its potency. Isa leaves and receives a phone call from another random lawyer. Isa informs him that she and her new husband want to update their will. Random lawyer tells her that this is as easy as emailing a boilerplate form to her so
Courtyard of La MQ: Pablo and Mariano walk and talk about Pablo’s troubled marriage and when she loves him and when she loves him not. Pablo wonders about their future. Cayetano shows up and gives them the good news that he has been to his real lawyer. He informs them that his will now provides one fourth of the ranch to each son and his wife. Pablo is happy to be included. Mariano wonders if Pops did this because of what he told him about Isa’s sketchy plans. No, says Pops, he just wants to do what is right and adds that Mariano need not worry that Isa is a gold-digger. Isa, he tells the fellas, is in full agreement with this plan to share the ranch equally. The words leave his mouth as Isa leaves town with magic herbs and a plot to do Cayetano in and take over the ranch in its entirety. Isa has not learned to share.
Camila’s Cabana: Camila talks to Viv on the party line. Viv consoles her friend. Camila asks how Viv is, btw. Viv reluctantly fills her in on her good news that she and Rafa are working on adopting Roman. Smiles and congrats. Something is going right for someone.
El Hostal: Dante arrives and needs to talk to Teresa. He tells her that he thinks they should try to have a relationship. Teresa wonders about his love for Miriam. Dante, who finally gets it, says that neither Miriam or Mariano love either of them so it is time to consider giving their new relationship a chance. Teresa looks as though she is really considering this. Viewerville has time to have a good look at Dante and approves wholeheartedly that this is a verrrryyyy gooood choice.
Dinner Table at Casita de Dan and Miriam: Ana overhears Dan mention Miriam needing a doctor appointment and worries about Miriam. Ana tells them that she remembers that her mom died as did the mother of one of her friends. She has decided that no mom should die. Miriam agrees, but tells Ana that sometimes, no matter what we wish, mothers or fathers or children die. She reassures Ana that she does not plan to die.
El Hostal: Nat returns home and arranges to meet with Camila later to help plot against Dio. She tells her mamita that she has agreed to help the good guys. Amanda acknowledges that this must be hard for her to do. No worries says Nat, finally looking like she gets that Daddy Dio is not a swell after all. She tells Amanda she loves her and rolls off to get to bed.
Jail for SubHuman Types: Trash gathers trash to be deposited in the trash truck.
Dinner Table at El Rancho de BV: Isa and Cayetano are having a nice family dinner with Yucky Yago. They discuss the
El Hostal: All gather for the powwow of good guys, everyone but Dan, that is. Dan shows up to help plot against Dio. Mariano tells Dan he is not needed and to not interfere in Camila’s affairs any longer. Dan looks crestfallen and looks at Camila. She says nothing, suggesting she is complicit with Mariano’s statement.
Jail for SubHuman Types: Trash collects trash and throws it in the bin. Trash climbs in after the trash and hides. Trash waits for the scheduled trash truck pickup. Trash is dumped into the trash truck and no one working at the jail is the wiser. Trash thought bubbles to himself to an as yet unnamed mugrosa that is deserving of his revenge. Trash takes a trip out of the jail to freedom. Camera freezes the frame on the face of LeoSordido.

At least Luzma isn't first on his list.
Thanks for a most helpful recap.
Elegant explanation of what got Yago so upset. What a piece of work. So an even share is a crumb? Its not like this is Jane Austin with English primogeniture rules. Second son syndrome might make some sense then.
Chris in FL
I do hope that the Mexican prison system warns victims about stuff like this.
At least Natalia has finally opened her eyes to what El Diablo and Iagho are all about. I'm hoping that his blood test discloses something that will stop the marriage.
Well, he's out! I wonder if he'll get to Isa first before she can get to Caye with the more potent potion? I'm glad that seems to be his first stop and not Luzma, but Luz is in great danger now.
Also in danger is Cam, but I was glad to see that she wants the ranch guys to stick close while Dio is there that night, and that Pablo intends to spend the night at the ranch to help keep her safe. Maybe Cam should start sleeping in the big house for safety reasons. Anything could happen to her in her cabin, and no one would hear or see.
Nat very cleverly turned the tables on Dio and Yago, making THEM jump through hoops to explain their presence at the house. She's back to her sensible self now that the blinders are off. Yay!
In any case, I thought it was significant that she's a woman who didn't hesitate to put a bullet into her man who was sexually abusing her daughter and put her daughter above all things and everyone. And Cam may be about to put herself into the hands of Gussy's man in order to save her mama, who she puts above all things.
The whole Nati reveal was pretty great. Our girl in yellow sure can think on her feet. When Diablo first saw her, and he asked "How long have you been here?" and I thought she was toast. But you could almost hear the hard ring of revenge in her voice as she answered her way out of a tight spot.
And— "Isa has not learned to share."—methinks she won't be sharing with el Diablo either. We aren't quite at the point where the bad guys turn on each other. They've both been using the other, and I don't even think sexual favors are enough to bind them together when it comes to grabbing all the goodies. And the forces of good are at the gate waiting to drive the wedge into their grand scheme. Too bad they keep fumbling the ball.
I also wonder why Carmela is in prison. She killed her husband to protect her daughter. She doesn't deserve to be in prison. But if Augustina did this she'd probably not be there.
Piedad would probably have killed Leoncerdo had she caught him in the act. I'm sure she wishes she had.
I think Hissadora would have been fine with El Diablo dying via tauro when he carried Camila out of the way. I'm sure she knows his track record and it's a case of Kill Him Before He Kills Me.
Vivi - Amidst all of the sad and desperate action, I too had a much needed giggle when Carmela revealed that she had killed her husband. There was something about Carmela's telling of the tale and Augustina's reaction that was so funny. Poor Augustina -- all she did was get duped into selling some phony retirement bonds while this woman killed her husband, granted, with justification. Much food for thought for Augustina, who by the way would be a terrible poker player.
It was a small scene, but I enjoyed the moment between Rod and Pablo, both pining away for the women who have rejected them. Two good men for sure.
Nat did think quickly and it was a good thing. She may be a source of some vulnerability for her scheming, vengeance-seeking father, but his barely suppressed rage at finding her there sent chills up my spine.
No redemption comin' for Yago.
The little girl who plays Ana is very good (in contrast to our loud little Roman). The scene in which she shared her sorrow at the deaths of her mother and her friend's mother was very touching.
I'm cringing thinking about what's going to happen to Camila, Natalia, Luzma & Isa. Natalia thinks fast, just like papá.
What a creep Yago is. I hope Cayetano cuts him out of the will.
I was not pleased at how Mariano treated Daniel.
The meeting needs to be in the hacienda -- not the cabana -- with a recording device and two guys in each of the adjoining rooms. They should be armed.
I wonder how Chayo is doing? She’s the same as Gussy-- not much of a fighter either (although she made a great sacrifice for her child). I wonder if she’s in the same prison?
ITA about that scene with Ana speaking about mothers dying. Very touching. It was clear how much of a deep impact her mother's illness and death had on her, even though she was only five at the time. It also shows us why she has had such an obsession about getting a new mother; having additional siblings; and having her family all living together under one roof. The concerns about Miriam's health, and what that would mean for Agatha, have hit her at a deeper level than I think any of the adults are aware of.
I also liked how both Dan and Miriam comforted her in that scene (Dan in particular looked at her with concern). More indications of things to come with a future blended family, I think.
It hasn't yet occurred to Gussie that El Diablo is after Camila; she will be devastated when she finds out. I don't think Camila will be the one to tell her, though; she wouldn't want her to know this and add to her sense of guilt and feeling of abject stupidity.
It would be interesting if Rosario is in the same prison; I feel somehow that her situation is unresolved.
I bet Rosario is in the same cárcel. She can fill Aggie in on Isa & Dio. Now they need to find the vecina.
Dan will not stay away, 'cause we know he's our hero & will save Camila.
Lots of action tonight.
UA, I too hope that Yago's blood tests reveal that he's got some kind of STD that will prevent the marriage. I'd like to think that the writers included that brief scene where Yago picks up some woman for more of a reason than just showing what a cad he is. We already knew that!
Lots of good things happening in this episode, especially Natalia's brain finally getting reconnected. I enjoyed the way the previous night's avances played with Viewerville re Dio's seeing Nat on the phone. Variopinta, I really liked your saying "Natalia thinks fast, just like papá."
I'm both looking forward to and dreading the confrontation between Dio and Camila. UA, I really like your idea about a recording device, but somehow I don't think that will happen. It would probably take some time to set it up in a way that can't be spotted.
I'm still totally unsure what Leoncerdo will manage to accomplish and what will happen to him. I'm hoping he gets revenge on Hissa, but even thought we're in últimos capitulos, it might be too soon for that.
Did anyone see the oopsie when they guys were throwing the contents of the trash bin that contained Leo into the bigger bin and Leo's legs were showing? But the next scene showed him covered up of course. I wish they had those kind of trucks that compact the garbage. Then Leoncio would be Leosmooshio.
I was relieved that Aggie's cellmate is a descent person. She would not be able to last if the woman she had to room with wanted Aggie to be her 'prison wife' as Vivi put it.
Nat has been good at thinking up an excuse in the spur of the moment. Remember when she was searching Dion's office early on and he asked what she was doing in his office and she said she was watching her soaps.
I'm glad that she heard it all. Right down to the reason he's being so nice to Nat so that he can get back at Amanda for leaving him.
Yes, the scene with Ana and Miriam talking about losing their mothers was so sad. And the look Dan had on his face was so poignant too. He knows that Miriam actually could die and leave Ana too. At least until he gets the info from the new doctor that she's actually ok.
I really hope that Dan insists on staying for the meeting with Natalia. Like it or not, Dan is involved in all this sordid stuff, so he should be able to be there.
I fear for Pablo, not in this novela, but in the future b/c Yago's hatred of him is abnormal. Yago's probably thinking not only will Pablo probably inherit a portion of MQ (I wouldn't be surprised if Camila gave Pablo half or even all of MQ) but he's also getting 25% of BV too? Not fair!
The con is getting conned by another con (Dionisio/Natalia)
I think the scenes with Carmela are meant to turn on the lights for Gussy. Carmela's in jail b/c she did the ultimate to protect her child. Gussy has been beating herself up throughout the novela for not protecting her children. But what can Gussy do now to protect Camila from behind bars?
Trash jumps in the Trash! How Fitting!
Does Isa know that Cayetano already filed the new will?
Hissadora forging a new will should certainly look suspicious. One should never try the same con twice, especially since the brothers Albarran know about the first one.
I had been thinking that there's no saving Yago as a character. However, assuming that Dio doesn't kill him for betraying Natalia, he could discover that he is seriously ill and be inspired to repent. How's that for a redemption scenario?
Looking forward to the Karmageddon discussion this weekend!
I too laughed when elderly, tiny Carmela sounded like she was going to be Gussie's bully, but I do like that they seem to be bonding. Carmela got a tough sentence probably because she's poor and had inadequate legal representation and maybe no technical proof of her daughter's abuse. Gussie better hope Carmela takes her under her wing, cause ITA all of Gussie’s body language is saying "kick me."
I like Mariano but for the first time I think he is out of line and not for noble reasons. This is not the time to challenge Daniel. They need all hands on deck and Daniel is the best hand they’ve got.
Now that Nat’s brain is back, I can’t wait to see how she excises Yago. Too bad she’ll have to put up with him as her baby’s father, but at least the baby will have a good grandpa and good uncles.
Cathyx: favorite: ice cream flavor--French Vanilla (truly); men, physically speaking—dark (with elegant artist’s hands), men, personality speaking—Mariano-like. Though, I do think he’s attractive, physically.
Juanita: “I keep wishing that there were a section of CarayCaray devoted to news about forthcoming TNs on both Univision and Telemundo (and perhaps also re-runs of classics like Alborada).”—me, too. I’m so new to TNs there’s lots that I’d like to see when there isn’t a current one that I want to watch.
Please tell me that Leo did not call Luz “mi amor?!” I wanted to throw up.
Onto the recap/comments.
Nanette
Loved Nat’s squeal at seeing Yago. Pretty smart on her part. Nat’s back.
Thank goodness Agustina’s cell mate was also wronged by a man. Solidarity.
OMG. I so had a dream about Teresa and Dante. Teresa was cheating on him with him. It’s a dream, what can I tell you?
Yago actually expected Caye to write Mariano out of his will because he has a house of his own?!
OK, I’m not all that fond of Dan but after all he’s done for LMQ and Cam, including risking his life, they have the NERVE to tell him they don’t need his help?!!! That he’s not going to be allowed to help any of those people that he cares about?!!! (it isn’t just Cam he loves and worries about). Badly done Mariano and if Cam goes along with it, Badly done Cam.
Doesn’t Miriam realize that SHE is forcing Dan to go back to Chili? She has been nagging and pestering him about it since she arrived, and except for when he surprised her with the tickets, he has not been at all enthusiastic or even interested in going back. If not for her forcing the issue, how could she possibly think he would be going back.
And why haven’t they ever talked again about Dan being in love/loved by Camila. After the confrontation (and lies) about the ‘C’ necklace, Miriam asked Camila if she loved Dan, got what has to be seen as an affirmative answer, and then just swept it under the rug, I guess.
Interesting that even lucid Cayetono lied to Mariano about Isa being in full agreement about his plan for leaving everyone a quarter of the BA. If her little meltdown wasn’t a FAIL on the gold-digger test, what would have been?
“Viewerville has time to have a good look at Dante and approves wholeheartedly that this is a verrrryyyy gooood choice.” LOL! Dante is the best looking guy on this show, IMHO, though he doesn’t seem to have a lot of personality.
I’m glad that Silly Naty has become Smart Naty once again. She still has to cancel the wedding somehow. That conversation could be interesting. Of course, with any luck, we’ll all get to see a bodus interuptus and Dio going nuts. That would be fun.
Glad to hear from Maja. But where the heck has Muñeca been?
Niecie: “I like Mariano but for the first time I think he is out of line and not for noble reasons. This is not the time to challenge Daniel. They need all hands on deck and Daniel is the best hand they’ve got.” ITA, though it did seem that Camila agreed with Mariano.
OT
Good news: I am going to Puerto Rico for two weeks. First time for me in the center of that region (have been only on the periphery) and am looking forward to a great trip. Wish me luck with the dialect there; it’s always been the most incomprehensible form of Spanish for me.
Bad news: I will miss the rest of AB. :-( I’ll have limited online time, but it aired in PR months ago, so I’ll have to do my best to try to follow along with all of your help. :-)
I think Yago should be disinherited and turned loose to make his own way. That would be the appropriate punishment for him.
I'm also in the camp that thinks Mariano overstepped last night. I realize Cami is confused & conflicted, but why is she rejecting Dan now. This is the amor de su vida and her husband to boot. She's up against the Evil Empire, she has no business sending him packing. It was cruel and selfish.
But, I do think Camila has the right to ask Dan to stay on the sidelines (he doesn’t have to obey), for a number of reasons: 1) The ranch is now 100% hers. Dan signed his part over to her. What she does with it is her business—including using it as a bargaining chip with Dion. 2) They have already said their final goodbye, in her book. She doesn’t want to do it again. 3) She has plenty of people around to help and protect her, including a bunch of eager and dedicated guys at the ranch. 4) His involvement is only causing him problems on the home front with Miriam—which is causing Miriam to confront Camila. Camila doesn’t need that drama on top of her other drama right now. 5) He is leaving in a few days. If he doesn’t disengage now, when is he going to do it?
I also think Dan has every right to want to be kept in the loop and to be part of the planning/action, because he cares about all of these people and he has a vested interest in Dion and Isa being caught and jailed. But he also has to be aware of what his intense involvement is doing to both Camila and to Miriam. He doesn’t seem to really get that.
As for why Cayetano told the boys that Hissadora was on board with the quartering of the land, I'm sure this was about avoiding arguments with them.
So many irons in the fire now that the tongueless one is on the loose—wonder when he'll make his move. I hope Cayetano can smell/taste the new brew. Hisssa was told to mix it with alcohol to disguise the bitterness, so now she'll have to get him into a potted fog so she can have her way with his addled brain cells.
Dionicio is definitely slipping. In earlier times, if Yucko had asked why are you doing this (buying Nat a husband) he would have just said "yo se mi cuenta" and not given any details. Instead, he went on and on about how he wants to get revenge on Amanda, firmly confirming to Natalia what everyone has been saying about him.
And did Yago really think he was going to be the sole heir? Talk about a self-centered spoiled brat!
Mena - loved Gussie "being left purple-less." LOL
Cam has been trying to avoid Dan, but luckily there is really no way for her to do that since they are so tied together through friends, family, and circumstances. And I'm sure she appreciate those hugs he gave her each time she received bad news about her mama. I know I would... :)
Kelly
I think 'purpless' Gussie and Carmela are going to get along just fine. I think Carmela has wanted to have a friend for some time.
Yep trash collecting trash, even the flies were trying to avoid him in the truck. Cathyx--I did see Leo's legs going into the truck. Somebody in editing was taking a break.
So, Tues' advances wanted us to think Dio had overheard Nat. They won! I thought so, too. Chalk one up for our Little Miss Sunshine.
Yago was also furious with Cayetano and his division of the rancho because Mariano already had his own. Caye reminded him that Mar worked hard to earn the money to buy the portion he bought--it was just laignappe that it was right next to BV, so it doesn't count.
VP, UA and everybody else-I'm with you re Mar-Dan. I'm furious at Mar for dissing my hunkalicious Dan. Granted Dan wants to be around Camila as often as he can before leaving, but 'cmon, Mar, Dan was a Scooby long before you were.
UA--Isa is trying to rush things, she and Dio are running out of time and she needs that new will signed, sealed and in the abogado's hands before she ups the drops. The rest of the Albarrans know about the temporary document putting BV in Isa's hands, and if Caye hadn't come out of his fog, she would have engineered making it permanent. Come on, Caye, get that new will done before you have another drop to drink. I think the herb lady told her to put it in something stronger, like wine, or he'd taste it.
Carolina--I'm sure you will enjoy your trip to PR. As hard as I tried to speak Spanish to everyone, they insisted on answering in English. Good luck!!
Thanks for pointing this out.
No matter what the motivation, as I stated before, the Scoobies need the whole gang on this.
(really should take the time to proof before posting).
Nanette, that thought bubble about jealousy was the last we saw of Dan before he walked into the hostel, so that's why I thought is was meant to be part of his motivation. I don't really think it's a bad thing about Dan, who I also like despite his flaws. Jealousy is a pretty normal reaction to the situation. I'm with Agnes in that it is Camila's reaction that seems weird. In defense of Mariano, his reaction could be that after that convo in at the police station where Dan agreed with him to stay away, here he is again. People tend to get more stern when it's the second time around on a topic.
Anita, I hear you about people replying in English when you speak in Spanish. That'll happen in Mexico in places where there is a lot of tourism, and I think PR gets a lot. We do have plans to get off the beaten track, though, so I hope to be able to practice speaking a bit. We will see. :)
One thought, when Nat approached the house and Omar stopped her, she told him or he asked her about meeting with Dion and Yago. Then when she ran into Dion, she acted surprised to see him and Yago. If Dion talks to Omar and finds out that she knew they were there, he's going to kill her for lying.
Cathyx: I thought the same re: Nat and Omar. She's definitely in danger.
Another instance where I wanted to post right away and didn't take the time explain clearly.
Did anyone else notice Pablo moving as far away from Mayalen as possible, while at the same time moving as close to Luzma as possible while Cam was speaking to the MQ crew?
Add me to the list upset with Mariano and Cam for their treatment of Dan.
Loving the description of the Purpleless Gussie in the Pokote!
While I admit I haven't watched an episode in a long while, I am so over the whole Dan/Cam/Mar triangle. Everyone knows how everyone feels about each other, and everyone knows the situations at hand. Why can't they put their emotional differences aside and band together for the greater good? And tell Miriam the whole truth. I guess if that happened then there wouldn't be a TN...
Mena...really great recap and especially well done! Thank you!
Was able to catch some of this last night, but the hour is so difficult. I fell asleep through most of it, but woke up in time to see that Natalia seems to have FINALLY jump started her brain. Gotta give the girl credit...she's just heard some devastating truths, but was able to hold it in and think on her feet. Frankly, I didn't think she had it in her.
I think Dion is showing subtle signs of the stress of keeping his lies and scams together. I thought he was downright frightening when he was questioning Natalia on the lawn. So frightening that if that had been me, I might have fainted on the spot. His voice...his imposing body size...plus the anger on his face...yes...one frightening man. This is what has me really worried about this meeting with Camila.
Cam is in such an emotional state about her mother that I'm not sure she will see just how dangerous this man really as he is even as he is standing in front of her. She has tunnel vision about wanting to get her mother out of jail. She has never acknowledged Dan's repeated comments to her about Dion's obsession with her. As strong as she is about so many thing, Agustina is her one week spot. She is simply not seeing this man and his potential for physical violence. I think it is there right underneath the surface. He's controlled himself pretty well, but things are not going his way. His multitasking is going to get him into trouble. I only wish it would happen before he meets with Camila.
Agnes/LXV, how is your mother?
Carolina, I can't believe you won't be here for the grand finale!! You will be missed, but sure do hope that your trip to Puerto Rico is super fun.
Yikes! Only a few more episodes to go. Tell me it 'ain't so!!
