La Patrona -

not sure why Patti stopped by to see la patrona Veronica,
looking for her mother?
or why she poured out her heart,
but through her tears,
her description of all of the love and passion Alejandro brings to the table,
was so re-lived in the eyes of Gabriela,
Alejandro being the only man, ever, that stirred those feelings in her,

kleenex please,

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Mireya has always been a mystery woman. Several times she's seemed eager to shoot Vicente, and she told Harvey and the crew that Vicente was the one who killed Robinson. I've thought for a while she had a secret backstory, some reason for a vendetta against Vicente. But now I'm not so sure. I now see three possibilities:

1. She actually loves Harvey. As crazy as this seems, all the other women love Harvey (Susana and Belen, for example). Despite his cruelty and desire for money, Harvey does have a human side, and is physically very imposing. Of course I (and most of us viewers) hate him, but I can believe the women in the show might be drawn to him. So if Mireya loves him, she would want to make him happy, and kill Vicente.

2. She's only out for herself, always has been. The reason why Mireya pushed Robinson into the open and shot him, was that otherwise, she was about to be caught, and she couldn't survive prison (she even told this to Cande). When Harvey asked who shot Robinson, Mireya reflexively said "that man", pointing to Vicente, the easiest candidate to remove suspicion from her. But what if Vicente were to talk, and it came out he DIDN'T shoot Robinson? Mireya would be in trouble. So of course, she wants to kill Vicente, to protect herself. She's also slept with Harvey, Agua Mala, Blatcho and Candelario, telling each one they're her special guy, always to protect herself. This is my prime theory.

3. Maybe she does have a secret connection to the past of Vicente. But I don't think so anymore.

There is a slight possibility she really does love Cande, and is faking the kissing with Harvey. That would be nice, if the two of them would end up together, as would Flora and Vicente, and maybe Dixon and Karen, and Sofi and Pablo, and Silvie and Imanol - who am I kidding?! It's more likely we'll be shedding tears before this one's over.

Pasion Prohibida Friday

Part 1

So, Yair punches Sebas because he is kissing Nina and she doesn't want it. Don Salo and Denise stop the fight; Sebas warns Yair that he will ruin him, Yair screams that he was trying to take advantage of Nina (oh, the dangers of being barely kissed in front of your house, with all your family only a step away). Nina is on Sebas's side, she tells Yair she will never forgive him. All the others are on Yair's side, but I don't see how Sebas is such a bad guy in this story. Sure, Nina didn't want to be kissed, but she is also an idiot for, you know, not wanting to be kissed.

In the house, it's pictures time. Eliana, Bruno, Ariel and Bianca (in that order) are lined up for the camera, but the photographer wants Bianca to come between the men. Then Flavia gives her unasked opinion, by getting in the picture, too, next to Ariel, practically pushing Bianca closer to Bruno. And, as the photo is being taken, Bruno, el DESCARADO, touches Bianca's waist (of course, nobody but them knows this - I was screamingwith joy when I saw Bruno's intention, but I can't believe he would do this with his uncle there - he really doesn't seem to care about the forbidden part of his "affection" anymore).

Yair is in his room, crying, while in the kitchen Camila is the only one smart enough to point out that Sebas was supposed to want to kiss Nina, after all her flirtatious behaviour during the party. Don Salo doesn't want any of the servants to tell Ariel what happened, but you just know Katia won't keep her mouth shut.

Nina is with Denise in her room, trying to defend Sebas. But Denise is very upset, Sebas has already tried to force himself on Nina once. Nina is histerical, she didn't want the kiss but she can defend herself (yeah, right), she doesn't need Yair protecting her. Denise forbidds Nina to ever see Sebas again, or else she will tell Ariel about the fight and the moto (oh boy, this poor Sebas guy can't even start his golddigging, with all these crazies trying to protect Nina's innocence or whatever, when what she really needs is a reality check and some
good spanking)

The party is over, Eliana and Bruno are going to a club; Ariel is to old for this, but Bianca can join them, if she wants - NO, the loving wife wishes to stay home. On the way out, Bruno thanks Ariel for everything, tells him he is the most important thing he has in his life; the scene is very touching, especially since we know that Bruno's words come from a place of both gratitude and guilt.

Back in the house, Nico observes that Bruno didn't seem to happy with the engagement, but Flavia is more worried about Ariel's sour face. She hints he might have found out something upsetting... Oh, Flavia, just shut up already!!

Pasion Prohibida Friday

Part 2

Ariel is in his work shop, remembering Nina's faint when Bruno announced his engagement. Denise comes over, she saw him go there before. This is becoming the "love nest" of the manor: B&B had their first kiss here, then Nina and Sebas almost did, too; maybe it's time for Ariel and Denise?
But no, he is just so worried about Nina's love for Bruno. Denise tries to calm him, Nina is young, it's normal to feel like this, it will pass. Yes, but how could he not see that his daughter had these feelings? Well, Denise points out, there are many things happening in this house that you don't know about (I can't believe she just said that - way to go Denise, don't stop there!!), everybody has secrets: Nina, Bruno, Bianca, herself...

Don Salo talks to Yair, makes him admit what he feels for Nina. Yair knows Nina is not for him, she is more unreachable than the stars, the moon, the sun (oh, boy! yeah, she is the little princess of the house, but Yair, you could do so much better!) He realizes that maybe he should leave, put some distance between them. Don Salo agrees, he needs to cool down the fire he has in him (again that fire..can someone start playing with it already, just talking about it is not that fun anymore), just like Camila did (really, did she get over Yair? I don't think so).

Nina talks with Paula on the phone, she is stil upset that Yair would dare to punch her friend. But Paula, bless her soul for being so smart, points out the fact that Yair loves Nina just like Nina loves Bruno, so Nina should really be more understanding with Yair. But, no, Nina is not only an idiot, she is also oblivious to everything that happens around her. And a total brat!

Penelope and Nico prepare to leave and want to say goodbye to Ariel. Bianca and Flavia are also there. Tere tells them Ariel is in the work shop with Denise. Flavia gets the best line of the week, when she says that the taller has become the hot spot of the house (LOL LOL, just what I said!). Then, Katia tells Flavia about the fight (of course).

As Ariel is telling Denise there is nothing worse than loving someone you are not supposed to love (there is so much foreshadowing in this show, it is to hard to keep track), Bianca walks in. Ariel tells her they are worried about Nina, her feelings for Bruno and so on. Denise says that Bianca already knows about this, she was the first one to warn Bruno to stay away from Nina.

Flavia goes to Nina's room, she admits she knows about the fight and also says Yair is in love with her. And that Nina should feel proud that she has two men fighting for her; she should choose one of them and use him to get over Bruno.
If she wants to use someone, let it be Sebas, Yair doesn't deserve this. But as long as Nina doesn't even want to be kissed, I don't know how she could "use" any guy.

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Interesting theories, Hombre. there is one more i've been pondering for awhile - what would be the possibility that Mireya and Silvia are either related or friends or working together somehow. After three failed attempts by Harvey and crew to snag the Santa Helena, I had to wonder if Mireya could be the 'sapo' and is using the guys - one by one - to cover up her tracks.

Also, thank you and NovelaMaven for filling in the blanks from Thursday's episode. Each episode seems to fly by faster and faster and I knew I missed several key pieces of the puzzle (Perez, Sofi, Champ)

Pasion Prohibida Friday

Part 3

Ariel and Bianca are in their room. Ariel is upset that Bianca didn't tell him about Nina's feelings. He is the last one to find out about things, he can't believe Nina fell in love and he had no clue! (again, to much foreshadowing) He finds Bianca's diary (was it in a bag?) and wants to know what secrets she is keeping from him; Denise told him they all had secrets, but he has none. Bianca is upset with Denise, of course, but she swears she could never keep secrets from him (okeeey!)

Bruno is at the club, some guy tells him that the women in his house are all so hot: Nina, his cousin and especially Bianca. Bruno almost punches the guy, then tells Eliana that he wants to leave.
We get a montage of nobody being able to fall asleep, they all have to many thoughts going around in their heads.

In the morning, as Bianca is all dressed up for the gym, Bruno arrives home. He wants to know if she was waiting for him again (heh, good one, Bruno!). Tere comes and tells Bianca Ariel is at the cemetery. She goes into Flavia's room.

In the kitchen Camila manages to upset Yair even more with some stupid remarks about him being a hero defender or something (shame on you, Camila, you know how it feel when the one you love doesn't care about you).

Flavia senses Bianca is in a very bad mood, she starts with her questions again; as Bianca gets more and more upset with her meddling, Flavia points out that there are so many things happening in the house that she has no clue about, because she is to busy with her Bruno stuff; Denise sees that she is not giving Ariel all the attention he needs and she steps in, trying to win points; Denise always knows what is going on, Bianca is clueless about everything, including the fight between Sebas and Yair. Flavia also says something that I was sure Bianca already knew, that Denise is in love with Ariel and the only reason, she, Bianca, doesn't do anything about it, is the fact that this gives her the pass she needs because she is in love with Bruno.
As Ariel comes back home and gets into Flavia's room, Bianca, who has had it with her mother, starts to scream at her, telling her that she doesn't care where she goes or what she does with her life, she just wants her out of the house.

Finally! I don't doubt for a moment that Flavia will find a way to stay (blackmail comes to mind), but so far, I was happy to see her stunned face; it was about time!!

MADE IN CARTAGENA

Jody, what a terrifying theory -- Mireya and Silvia in cahoots! Watch out, everyone else on the planet!

Hombre, I've been fascinated by the way the characters, especially the ones in the gang, think about "love." Max said he loved Jhonny; but he still killed him when Harvey told him to. Why? His fear of Harvey was stronger than his love for Jhonny. Self-preservation triumphed. But in the end, Max was remorseful for killing the person he loved and resentful at Harvey for forcing him to do so.

Mireya says she loves Candelario. Maybe she does. She doesn't have to fake her attraction to him. But I'd be surprised to see her risk her life -- or her freedom -- to save him. It's different from her flirtation with Agua Mala, who only inspires her disgust. She plays a role to get back the camera with the damning video. Period. Has she been playing Cande, recognizing he's the only one clever enough to neutralize Agua Mala? It's hard to say. She is definitely a "love the one you're with" kind of girl. And Mireya's "love," like Max's, offers no protection and no guarantees.

Mireya and Harvey? They are a lot alike -- both venomous opportunists and sexual omnivores. I think they turn each other on but would turn on each other in a heartbeat.

Vicente, Watusi, and Imanol are the obvious innocents so far, the kind of characters they usually describe in the telenovela synopsis as noble. (Or so we believe.) But Flora and Candelario are also noble even if Candelario has "doomed" tattooed on his forehead.

I see Marcos and Silvia as mean-spirited. Given the right (or should I say the wrong) environment, I could see them as versions of Max and Mireya.

My fantasy happy ending:

Imanol and Vicente learn the whole truth about Flora and realize that her intentions were pure. Imanol uses his secret agent skills to eradicate any evidence of Flora's involvement with the gang. And Vicente and Flora end up together.

Somehow, Vicente and Imanol manage to recover both parts of the real Santa Elena and keep it from leaving Colombia. [Maybe it will have to spend a few centuries under the sea again.]

Harvey's whole gang, or what's left of it, goes down in flames, including Candelario (in the midst of some heroics.)

Imanol finds his media naranja. (If he doesn't, have him call me.) :D

P.S. You realize that I always guess wrong, right?

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel - this was a dud episode for me; just about all of 2minutes of Bruno. your diligence in recapping is still appreciated.

Those few seconds as his slow hand worked its way at her waist - whew! I've never felt something as simple as that fall short of sensual.

Pasion Prohibida

Shallowgal, I didn't like the lack of Bruno, either, but I did find other things to entertain myself.
The photo scene was amazing, and so unexpected; I never thought Bruno would have the nerve to do that.
The episode really highlighted how many characters are secretly in love and hurting but they don't have much sympathy for someone going through the same thing( Nina, Yair, Camila).
Also, now I am more certain than before that Mademoiselle really did see B&B kiss, but she is keeping this to herself.
If she did see them, what do you think is her reason for not speaking? She knows telling the truth would hurt Ariel, and she wants him to be happy? She is waiting for Bianca to dig a deeper grave for herself? She doesn't think it's her job to expose Bianca. Flavia is doing all the snooping around right now, but what if Mlle is not that far behind? She is very intuitive, an older, more experienced woman. She knows Bruno is not in love with Eliana, but still, he wants to get married. I think she knows!

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Thanks again for your fine recap, Adriana Noel.

I was practically cheering when Bianca lit into Flavia.

Going after Deniz was the worst she's done. While it's true that she loves Ariel, she's behaved impeccably the whole time.

Flavia and her nasty henchwoman Katia poison the atmosphere in the Piamonte household. I agree she'll find a way to stay there, but I WISH Bianca would kick her out.

You know they've never said what happened to all her stuff that didn't sell. [Public storage? Ebay, anyone?] She needs to get off her rear end and try to sell some of it, or get a dern job!

Plus she could live for a couple of years, sans Katia's services, on that necklace Ariel "gave her as a birthday gift".

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

There's something I've thought about but keep forgetting to post. At the very beginning of the novela, Bruno was portrayed in an unfavorable way. I was thinking: "Whoa, Jencarlos is going to be almost a villain!" He returned from Europe, I think, to attend Penélope's wedding to Nico. He seemed to be obsessed with her, sending her flowers on her wedding day [having stolen the money from Santi's piggy bank]. He was portrayed as a good-for-nothing playboy.

Without much explanation, he decides to finish his degree and shows an elder brotherly affection for Nina and Santi.

Just some thoughts about how the character of Bruno changed up on us without any real explanation of why - at least to me.

LA PATRONA

Poor Prudencia. She was extremely nasty to Gabriela Suarez. But I kind of write that off as being protective of her daughter Julia. She convinced herself that Gaby was the one either pursuing or being coquettish with her daughter's husband, Fernando. It's understandable that, being human, she didn't want to face the fact that Julio, Antonia, and to some extent she herself pushed a political marriage that was never going to work. So, denial about what went wrong with Fernando and Julia is fairly understandable.

She had been a model wife, and then she discovered her husband's mistress. Not sure if she also discovered his regular visits to la casa de las muñecas. So she decides to get even. And discovers that Chacón, however repellent he appears to Viewerville, is pretty hot in bed (or small sofa, as the case may be). A re-awakening of her middle aged libido, plus Verónica's bolstering her ego about running for president of the club, gave her sort of a new lease on life. Then she comes back to earth with a terrible crash.

And the ghastly behavior of Julio, actually telling her that what he did is OK because he's a man. But she deserves to be thrown out on the street.

I had a strong desire to slap Antonia when she was dishing the dirt with the "chicas" at the club. I can't remember who said it, but someone said it was not about the club, rather it was about sending everyone else in town a message not to mess with her.

I enjoyed the scene where Verónica [I'm conflicted about whether to call her Gaby, Vero or Vero-Gaby] came to be comforted by Francisca. She's human after all. But she still insists to everyone that she doesn't still love Alejandro.

I think Chacón has los días contados after threatening to spill the beans at El Dorado.

They've given Alejandro some real "duh" lines in this. Like when he told Irene something was being hidden when they whisked Chacón into Antonia's study before he could say more.

I LOVED Antonia's rage when Vero wouldn't see her. On the other hand, the nerve of those two lobos. They just show up to air their "issues" expecting her to drop everything and listen to them. She IS supposed to be a busy woman.

La Patrona -

"Poor Prudencia" is right,

I keep expecting her to be gone,
I thought when Julio got home and went to the closet it was to get a gun,
(quite the scene, him throwing her out, all the way down the stairs and out the door)

and then I was waiting for her to find a gun and do the job herself, like she thinks Julia did,
(strange that Patti earlier blew off all of the drama to go pick up her son),

but after the Julio/Lagarto fight where the skeletons fell out of the closet like Inocencia being killed by Lagarto, as well as Duarte, (I didn't really catch all that Julio was guilty of), but they can't just let her walk around now, can they?

LA PATRONA

Not sure if Pru will be bumped off by the lobos. I sort of got the impression that Antonia was satisfied with her reputation being ruined. But then Antonia still doesn't know that Pru heard Lagarto and Julio exchanging barbs about crimes committed at the police station. I think the more likely one to get the axe soon is Lagarto.

Surely Pati won't let her mother be on the street and Pati has her own catering business, so she could put her mother up somewhere. But, of course, Pru still could off herself. I kind of hope she survives.

I thought the scene between Pati and Vero was excellent work by both actors. I'm hoping Vero won't try revenge on her after hearing her reasons for infidelity. And it was interesting that Constanza overheard the whole thing on the remote spy camera they have installed.

LA PATRONA:

Great comments, everyone. I agree that Lagarto and Prudencia are the most likely to die at this point. Prudencia could be killed, kill herself, or maybe go crazy and be sent to a nuthouse (too bad the old one burned down). There's no way she can stay around to air what she knows, even if only Julio and Lagarto know that she knows.

Novelera, it was Antonia who said it's not the club presidency that matters, but an example has to be made (of course, those chicas didn't know that Antonia herself has been sleeping with Alberto).

I don't think it matters what we call Veronica/Gaby, but since she's mainly Veronica now, I'll probably call her that.

We had some perfect telenovela irony/symmetry the other day when two couples (Alejandro/Pati and Lagarto/Prudencia) decided to break up, and gave a final kiss. And THEN each one was discovered (that's when Veronica saw Ale and Pati). I guess the lesson is, if you're going to mutually break up for the good of all, just shake hands.

Julio is scum. After throwing out Pru and saying it was okay that he cheated, since he's a man, he then invites Luz to live with him in the house, openly. She's happy, but you know this isn't going to end well.

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Jody, I love your theory about Mireya and Silvie. That would be great!

NovelaMaven, your happy ending could very well happen. You say your prediction record isn't great (mine is horrible, too), but this could be the time!

I agree that Marcos is bad. The other day, when I said I was worried about him, I just meant he may have a target on him, not that I care about him. But the one thing I do like about him is that he's uncovering some of the truth. And even though Flora is such a nice person, I want the truth to come out. Even she does, that's why she made that video.

If we don't have a happy ending, I can picture Vicente watching the video, all by himself, when it's too late (something bad has happened with Flora, for example).

I agree, the noble characters are Flora, Vicente, Watusi, Imanol and Candelario. I can easily see Watusi or Candelario sacrificing themselves to save someone.

LA PATRONA

Alberto was the one at the bar who said that Antonia was sending a message to everyone in town to not mess with her. He and Ramon had been watching and listening to the "decent ladies" of the club condemn Prude for her terrible behavior and plan her public denouncement in the newspaper.

I thought Patty stopped by Vero's place because she thought Prudencia might go there for consolation since Vero is her new BFF. Vero had been such a visible supporter of Prude's campaign.

The three musketeers watching "reality TV" was a hoot - until Patty's big reveal about Ricardo got to Coni. It was bound to come out sooner or later.

And the look on Ale's face was priceless when Irene was telling him that there is no good reason for people to break their marriage vows.

Patty knows about Julio's girlfriend (I keep forgetting her name), but she did not tell Irene about her. When Irene finds out who Julio's new roomie is, do you suppose he will also be "dead to her"?

Horrible Julio wasted no time in having his amante move in with him. The invite must have included the baby.

All the secrets are coming out and the lobos are at each others throats. Alberto threatened Antonia with exposure. Macario threatened Lagarto for jailing him. Lagarto and Julio spilled the beans in front of Prude. Antonia threatened AniMal with exposure. Gertrudis threatened Antonia and AniMal. I'm hoping for a big confrontation soon.

I think Ponce is onto Cecilia and David.

PASION PROHIBIDA
Yes AdrianaNoel, a great recap, thanks once again.
Novelera, you are right, the writers didn't spend much time on Bruno's "transformation" to good guy. They are spending much more time on the fall of Bianca's character.
This episode did seem to highlight all the broken dreams in the Mansion de Piamonte. Also, Flavia told Katia to remove her necklace but first demanded "did you wash your hands?" Flavia is so smitten by that necklace it seems a sure thing someone will steal it. Remember Flavia's "stolen" diamond earring early in the show? Also I recall also four necklaces given so far: Elianna picked one out for Bruno to give Nina on her birthday (but Nina blew it off, saying she doesn't wear necklaces); Bruno's photo locket gift to Bianca for Christmas; Flavia's trophy necklace, and the more modest one that Ariel bought for Bianca.
J in Oregon

Pasion Prohibida

I don't think Bruno ever needed to much changing, just some serious growing up. When he first arrived he was just the typical playboy; he did take that money, and I remember he even borowed from Yair, but he gave the money back. So, he had lose morals, but he was not a thief. Just an immature boy, enjoying his life to much.
I am not sure when the transition started, maybe it had something to do with Bianca's arrival at the house; she keeps talking about what a loser he is, maybe some of those words resonated with him.

I do agree they are taking more time with Bianca's change, but that is maybe because Bianca is such a strange character, they want to make sure that we don't completely hate her. In stories like these women always end up with the bad reputation; Bruno is so charming, it is hard to hate him, especially when he has those tormented looks on his face.

J in Oregon, I do agree with you about the broken dreams in the house being highlighted. Also, the fact that Ariel really has no clue about what is going on around him. In order for this story to work, I understand they need to make him a really good person, but I hope they don't push this to extremes (like the fact that he let Flavia keep that expenisve necklace); nobody likes a fool.

LA PATRONA:

Beth, you're right it was Alberto making that comment. He's so funny, so sure of himself. Just wait.

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Hombre, I don't know if you saw it or not. I did see a brief advance where Vicente does receive Flora's confession video - he watches it on his tablet.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Perhaps without Bruno realizing it himself, it was when Nico was recommended by Bianca to work at the Piamonte enterprise. She even said Nico would be the perfect candidate, since he finished school, and Harvard at that. Then Guillermo was trying to hire Bruno for his company, and was turned down.

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

Thank you so much for sticking with the recaps, NovelaMan and doing such a good job of it. I keep trying to avoid this show and I keep getting sucked back in. I really want to see how it turns out.

I wonder if Alicia, not Valeria, committed the recent murders. We know that mother and daughter are murderers but we have been lulled into thinking that Alicia has changed. Maybe not ...

And then there's nasty Rafaela out there -- I'd be disappointed if she turned out to be an important player. I think dramatically, this has to boil down to a showdown of the Amazons: Valeria and Eva/Alicia.

EL ROSTRO

Thanks, NovelaMan, for your recaps, good and concise!

NovelaMaven, I'm with you: I wish I could quit you, dern novela!"

One of the weirdest things in this novela is Layton. I missed the whole part where he was loose. But hasn't it been weeks and weeks since Alicia burned him. Why does he continue to have oozing sores on his face?

And now he's accusing Rafaela of being the murderer of the classmates. Misdirection?

What the heck? They aren't even saying últimos capitulos, are they? If Valeria is gone, then you must be right about another shoe, or several shoes, needing to drop.

There's gotta be some kind of issue with El Señor de los Cielos being ready to begin.

Telemundo -

strange that El Señor de los Cielos started filming Jan. 16th, over 2 months ago, (at $100k per show, that is a lot of money to put upfront), and Telemundo has yet to say anything about a release date. (I wonder if there is some strategy here to avoid any conflicts with the Mexican cartels).

(I did see a rumored pic of Carmen Villalobos' new hair style for her guest spot on this show, similar to Bianca's in Pasión Prohibida).
..............................................

there has also been a few distant rumors that Marido En Alquiler has recently begun filming (Miami).

EL ROSTRO

I was pissed at fridays capitulo. Luci apologizes for the "horrors" he faced in prison. He wasnt beat up or raped. The only Horror he face was eating shit meals and being locked up like an animal. And the scene Miggy A had with the Blonde Gorgon. Did Telemundo expect us to for sorry for that dispicable creature?! And dMart even said Vale did what she did to protect Aliva. So much for avenging Antonia. And how the hell did dMart eveade Tomas?

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Lunes, Part 1

Another BLAZING episode! We begin with Cande seeing Mireya and Harvey kissing, pulling out his gun in rage, then controlling himself, putting it away. He then hears them discussing where they're going to go with the money, and loudly enters, as if he didn't see anything. He tells Harvey he has the proof right here of who really killed Robinson. Mireya starts sweating bullets, thinking did he see us, is he going to bury me right now? But it's the wiped disk, and instead of showing Mireya killing Robinson, it shows Robinson getting killed from afar, then a cop and Vicente showing up. Harvey says, I knew it! It WAS Dominguez. But why did you keep the tape from me? Well, says Cande, Agua Mala got it back it from the scene, and it took awhile for him to recover the data. (So Cande continues to play it cool).

But Watusi and Celina are burning up in the cabana! They try to stand up, Watu starts kicking at the walls. They're choking on the smoke. Champion has run to Sabroso, come quick! Sabroso runs down to the beach. Watu and Celina manage to get out just as he arrives. He sees the deed to his house, and immediately knows that Harvey is behind this. He rushes up to settle things with Harvey. Harvey tells him tough luck, buddy, I own your house now, and you'd better get all your things out now! Sabroso staggers back to Watu and Celina, and has some kind of attack, his stomach or something.

Meanwhile, Flora meets with Vicente, says I need to show you something (the tape). But he ignores this, let me talk first (typical novela style). He says we don't need anyone else, I love you, you love me, let's get married! Flora first says lets wait until you smooth things over with Sofi, but Vicente only barely agrees to this. They kiss again. Flora then gets a frantic call from Karen to come help with Sabroso. She gives Vicente an excuse, goes to help, but Watu kicks her out, get away, rich girl! Celina has also told Watu that the dance tour people said they have to leave right away, not next week. Watu says to Celina you can start packing, but we really have to see if Sabroso's okay first.

Belen is sick and tired of Marcos hanging around the house, spying. She calls Harvey, and he sends Blatcho to take care of things. Blatcho ties up Marcos and takes him to the hideout, where he electroshocks him! He want Marcos to talk, and he eventually does, saying he knows Flora is involved in this whole thing. When Blatcho goes out of the room for a minute, Dixon comes in. Marcos begs him to help, as he's tied up. Dixon says I'm not getting involved, but I'll give you this. He gives him a knife. Later, when Blatcho comes back, Marcos has gotten free, and jams the knife in Blatcho's leg! But Blatcho's tough, pulls the knife out, and goes after Marcos. Marcos runs down the street, ducks into an opening, thinks he's given Blatcho the slip. But Blatcho doubles back, catches him cold, presses a loaded gun to Marcos's temple. Marcos pleads for his life. Blatcho decides to spare his life if he calls Sofi, tells her he made up the whole thing about Flora, Flora's a nice girl, and by the way, Marcos has to leave town, and doesn't know when he's coming back! Marcos rehearses this, is very shaky, I don't know if he can pull this off.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 2

Vicente did NOT agree to join forces with Imanol. In fact, he tells him he's quitting the bank, and leaving for a new life with Flora! Imanol thinks he's nuts. At the end of the episode, Imanol tells Silvie they have to unmask Flora. He has a plan to prove Cande is Flora's brother, they just have to get the family to go to the cemetery tomorrow. Silvie is reluctant, but I think she'll help.

But tomorrow is going to be the wedding! Flora has made a new tape (for herself?) where she says I was going to tell you a whole lot of things, but then you asked me to marry you! So at this point Flora has decided NOT to show Vicente the confession tape. We don't know if she's erased it. Yes, there may have been previews, but often they are tricks, and also, we don't know when Vicente supposedly views the tape. It could be way later. So Flora's going to just go with the wedding. Tomorrow! Vicente says she should invite her Dad, her uncle, her aunt. Flora goes, well....um.... I'll see. Hmmmm.

Harvey gets a call from someone who says he has the Santa Helena, and wants to negotiate. We see that it's Cande, but his voice is disguised. Harvey says he's not dealing with someone he doesn't know. The voice says come to this abandoned yard, and come alone! Harvey says, wait, but the voice hangs up. Harvey grabs Dixon, lets go out. They drive to the construction site, and Cande comes out, apparently unarmed. Harvey has Dixon duck down. When Cande shows he really wants revenge, Harvey jumps out with his gun pointed at Dixon's head, and orders Cande to drop his gun or Dixon dies. Cande won't do that. Somehow, Dixon twists away and grabs Harvey's gun! So both Dixon and Cande have guns pointed at Harvey. Cande wants to talk business, but Dixon just shoots Harvey! He shoots him several times, and Harvey falls over the edge, rolling down a cliff. He's apparently dead, although I'm not 100% sure about this. Cande says you fool, what have you done? But he killed our father! Cande tells Dixon, not matter what, you didn't shoot him, we'll tell everyone the Shadow did it. Dixon takes a picture of the body from afar. Cande calls Mireya, it's done. But find the money in Harvey's desk. We need it to negotiate with Blatcho. She can't find it.

And while all this is happening, Karen tells Candelario, how could you be so mean to Flora after all she's done? How could you yell at her when she was just doing everything for Candelario? Say what? Watu is shocked. Karen spills the beans, Watu now realizes what Flora's been doing. That Harvey forced her to befriend Vicente and Sofi. Karen adds, and the pool girl had to go and fall in love with Vicente! Watusi's mind is REALLY blown!

And so is mine, and let's not even MENTION the previews, cause we usually don't on this board. But tomorrow looks to be even MORE amazing!

LA PATRONA – LUNES

Patty tells Vero that Gaby never killed anyone and was not crazy. They were friends and she cared for her very much. Patty says Gaby just had terrible luck. Whew. I hope this gives Patty a pass.

Cecilia decides to take a cold shower and is joined by David. He’s definitely ready to do the deed when Poncia discovers them.

Julio brings Luz and his son to live with him. Patty is completely shocked and is out of there, returning to Ricardo.

Constanza is about to lift her burka and reveal herself to Ricardo when Gastón shows up and stops her, telling Ricardo the usual about women of her culture not being able to show their faces under pain of death.

Antonia completely humiliates Pru at the club, even making her read the resignation letter that she, Antonia, wrote in which Pru accuses herself of immoral conduct. This is just ghastly to watch.

Poncia rips into David, telling him she thought she was helping to raise a man, not a patán who would take advantage of an innocent girl. She tells him he was planning to use Cecilia. And that every day he’s becoming more like his father and his grandmother.

Alejandro AGAIN enters Verónica’s bedroom through the French doors. He comes on to her, but she tells him he should go home to his wife or else to his lover, Patricia Montemar. He fires back that she’s way too interested in his private life. He gets closer again. Lucho is watching the reality TV and says, if he kisses her, he’ll kill him. [What? The reality TV extends to Vero’s bedroom?] Ale leaves, saying that Vero is cold and like Antonia Guerra.

Poncia tries to talk sense into Cecilia.

Pru can’t get a room anywhere in town. Antonia’s been busy.

After remembering Poncia’s tongue lashing, David pours himself a drink. Ale grabs it out of his hand, telling him not to go down his father’s road. Ale and David are having a bit of a bonding moment when Antonia interrupts, spoiling things.

Constanza confronts Vero about preventing her from telling her son the truth. Vero says she knows that both Ricardo and David are at risk. But she says that, if Antonia knew who they were, she’d send someone to kill them. The plot needs to advance more.

Pru comes to spend the night with Lagarto, and they get it on. But the next day, she assumes she’s there to stay and starts doing some housewifely things. She goes on to say they’ll get married after the divorce from Julio. He laughs and laughs. When she threatens him with what she knows, he punches her in the face and then throws her out into the street.

Vero invited the lobos to breakfast: Antonia, Aníbal, Julio, Alberto and Gertrudis. She talks about the hospital expansion she wants to do. [Wow, Aracely looks amazing in royal blue.] She will provide all the funds for the hospital; she only wants their advice. Gastón comes to tell her she has a call from Hong Kong. She, Gastón and Lucho listen to what the lobos say in her absence. Julio says the key thing is that she’ll put the money in their hands. Gertrudis expects to be made director of the hospital. Aníbal says a senator’s help is expensive. Antonia asks Alberto if she really has the money to “waste” on such a project. Alberto tells them she wrote a check just the other day for $20 million [dollars, not pesos] to start up the bank. So, yep, she’s loaded. Vero laughs, saying she knew they’d fall in her trap.

LA PATRONA:
Novelera, thanks for the prompt and very good recap! Fue bueñisma!

There were so many good overt and subtle things in this Capítulo I could burst. First, Poncia busting David and Cecilia and not slutshaming Cecilia but telling her David is not a good boy to love and that she needs to be smart about her sexuality. She put the blame on David, where it rightly belongs, and not on Ceci, the girl and the person with the least power. And she hit David on the thing that can get him to think: You are acting like your father who destroyed your mother. I wanted to slow-clap like in those 1980s movies 'Lucas' and 'Can't Buy Me Love' because someone in Guerra's house learned the right lesson from the fracaso that was Fernando. You can't tell rich boys they are God's gift to the world and not expect them to act as if women owe them sex. The subtle part about the scene was that it reminded me why David's 'Eres mio' come on to Ceci turned me off. Fernando said that to Gaby when he was raping her. The writers really don't to anything extraneous in this TN. It all adds up.

I doubt the writers listen to 1980s R&B, but why did the Oran Juice Jones song 'The Rain', where the man catches a woman cheating and kicks her out on the street with only a suitcase popped in my head as Pru was walking around like Mary Magalene and Hester Prynne. She's really finding out that 'good girls' like her can really fall from grace.

Also: Ricardo lying down in the bed with Patti discussing their bad day. Ricardo starts to get a clue, remembering that the burka lady's perfume smells just like his mom and Patti talking about Julio's amante moving in the Montemar house. As the Montemar marriage falls apart, Patti and Ric's is strengthening. He was holding her, the dominant position and was comfortable doing so. I really hope they make it!

Pasion Prohibida Monday

Part 1

So Bianca throws Flavia out of the house. Goody! When Bianca leaves, Flavia starts weeping in front of Ariel, trying to brush of Bianca's words as women talk, mother and daughter silly arguments. Ariel seems worried, wants to know why they were fighting, but Flavia is mum.

Later Ariel and Bianca are taking a stroll and Ariel wants to know what the fight was about; Bianca says they always fight about this and that, now she just had it, she won't change her mind about her mother moving out.

At breakfast, only Mademoiselle, Francisca and Flavia are there, so later Mlle goes to Nina's room. Nina is still upset about the fight, she doesn't want to face Yair because she is afraid she will say something that will hurt him. Mlle wants to know if she talked with Sebas, but Nina avoided his calls all morning. Just then arrives a text from Sebas: if Nina doesn't agree to see him, he will make a complaint against Yair for the punch.

Mlle and Nina both go to meet Sebas, Mlle accuses him of blackmail, he says he only said that to get Nina out of the house. Oh, young twisted faux love...

As Ariel comes back home, he finds Santi with Yair and suggests they could spend the Sunday watching rented movies (haven't they heard of Netflix?) Yair is still hurting because of Nina, I really feel bad for him.

In the house, everybody is getting ready for the movie day; just as I am starting o wonder where is Bruno, Flavia, proving she is a harpy that simply can't keep her mouth shut, asks Bianca to go get Bruno, who is still sleeping after the night of clubbing (so I guess after he got home early in the morning, he went to his bedroom to continue sleeping). But Bianca has better things to do, she announces Flavia that Ariel has news for her (heh). His men at the company are finding Flavia a house for her to stay all alone. Flavia is shocked, she tries to put on a brave face, but she quickly goes to her room, where she starts sobbing - but, really Flavia, even after the fight you had with Bianca just hours ago, you still go on and on with your malicious Bruno allusions. I don't feel sorry for you AT ALL!
But not the same can be said about Nina, who is all: "oh, Senora Flavia, what a pity that you will be leaving us" - whatever, Nina, this is not your worst sin in this episode.

Once in her room Flavia calls Penelope, who can't really join her mother pity party because she is spending the day at the Aredondo house. When Flavia finds out she goes all "poor me, both my daughters hate me" and doesn't tell Penelope why she called in the first place.

By the time Bruno wakes up it is already afternoon. He doesn't find any of his family members in the house, they are all out renting movies, so he goes to chat with Flavia.
He finds her packing her bags: Ariel threw her out at Bianca's request, because she knows things that Bianca doesn't want doscovered. As much as Bruno tries to put on a clueless face, Flavia shows her claws: she starts hinting about what happened in the work shop, wanting to make Bruno think that she knows the whole truth. When he realizes the blackmail that she is starting, he just says goodbye and leaves.
When he meets Bianca in the hall, he wants to talk to her, warn her, I believe, but she won't talk to him, of course.

Pasion Prohibida Monday

Part 2

Nina goes to the kitchen to make popcorn. She has avoided Yair all day and now, too, she is ignoring him.
After the popcorn is ready (is that all she made for the entire family?), as she is going upstairs to join the others, Mlle stops her, wanting to know what she talked to Sebas in the short time they were alone at the table. Nina says that Sebas wants them to still be friends; Mlle points out that if Nina doesn't agree with this, Sebas will accuse Yair with the police, but Nina disagrees (idiot child that she is).

In the living room, Bruno suggests they should drink some wine and asks Bianca to help him choose a bottle. But Bianca doesn't want to go, so Bruno can't get a moment alone to tell her about Flavia.
Nina walks in with the popcorn, Bruno is happy he also prepared the kind he likes and jokingly throws her on his knees. Ariel, who is now aware of Nina's feelings, has a very strong reaction to this, asks them to stop with this type of behaviour, because they are not kids anymore (finally, someone pointing this out, even if it is because of the feelings involved).

Just as they are about to start watching a movie, Flavia dramatically comes in, with her bag and all, wanting to say goodbye. She can barely stomach Santi's sweet farewell and she goes on saying goodbye to the rest, in a very afected and fake way, while Bianca keeps smiling and couldn't care less. I really can't stand Flavia, she is such a bioatch in disguise. All the simpathy I had for her a few episodes ago has vanished.
When she is done, she asks Bruno to walk her to the taxi. Once outside, she wants to know if Bruno has no remorse for what he is doing to his uncle. When Bruno doesn't say any of the things she wants to hear, Flavia threatens him this is not over and leaves. Bruno is left very worried.

Back in the house, Nina questions Bianca on the reasons she is so happy her mother left, doesn't she feel bad about it? Of course not, Bianca says, her mother wanted to leave a long time ago.
Bruno is still not back as Yair walks in, wanting to talk to Nina for a moment (I think he wants to apologize). But Nina refuses to talk to him, she is so rude I think I never found her more unlikeble than now. After Yair leaves (and you can see he is even more crushed, and I didn't think this could be possible) Ariel asks what is wrong, but Nina doesn' say anything.
Bruno comes back and they start watching the movie. Bruno and Bianca are looking at one another, thinking about their stuff, while Ariel and Mlle are doing the same, probably thinking about the Nina situation.

Nico and Penelope arrive home and Penelope tries to call her mother, but can't reach her. When she calls Bianca, she finds out Flavia told everybody that she will go live with her and Nico. But, of course, Penelope has no clue about this arrangement.

And, sure enough, Flavia is at Ivan's door. But he doesn't seem to happy to see her, he is half dressed, I believe he has some woman with him. Hehe...

La Patrona -

thanks so much novelera, for the fine summary!
and to J desde NYC, for your added comments,

poor poor Prudencia,
public humiliation at the club a la Antonia,
a punch in the face, clothes flying and back on the curb, along with a few choice cutting words, from her lover,
and home to get her jewels, only to see them being worn by Luz,

interesting to see Julio, who has fallen out of grace with Antonia, has not fallen that far,
and Alberto who I thought switched sides, still in that group, or is he,
and Gertrudis, whose presence always brings chills to all, now a lobo,

and Alejandro stiffening, as he gets the Antonia likeness of Veronica,
and once again as he consuls David, his good intentions are dashed by his mom,
and he has that drink that David poured.

hmm,
last nights show was 50, so if this is a full length novela, we aren't even half way there,
the simple route would be to kill off the bad guys, slowly, one by one,
but then we would be out of a story in a couple of weeks,
it seems that Gabriela has a plan,
I wonder what could be instore for all,
is Prudencia just a taste?

LA PATRONA:

Great summary Novelera, thanks! As pitiful as Prudencia the character is, the actress playing her is doing an excellent job.

Constanza should really change her perfume. And what's up with women who wear burkas, presumably to be modest, but wearing perfume? Hopefully if Lucho puts his burka back on, he lays off the aftershave.

The problem with Veronica's revenge is that some of her victims have some ties to good characters, who would be hurt if the victims were killed or even ruined and humiliated. As for Prudencia, Pati loves her Mom, and Pati showed Veronica she always believed in Gaby. So hurting Prudencia hurts Pati. Even Julio, the scum, is Pati's Dad, and she probably doesn't want him hurt too much.

Constanza doesn't want Ricardo hurt, and Veronica has sort of agreed to this. Even Antonia is loved by at least one character, David (whom Veronica wouldn't want to drive away).

But at least we have a few, Gertrudis, Alberto, Ramon, Lagarto and Macario, who wouldn't be missed. Let's get started with them!

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- lunes

Yes, Hombre, another blazing episode -- and the recap was on fire too! Thank you!

And no, Vicente and Imanol haven't teamed up. In a nice twist of plot, it's Vicente who is now willing to leave the Santa Elena in the past and Imanol who won't rest easy until he recovers it. Interesting.

But the most important thing: HARVEY IS DEAD! (And of that I have not a shred of doubt.) And slowly the truth is coming to the surface.

Finally, thanks to Karen, Watusi gets to hear Flora's side of the story.

BEST thing in this episode: hearing Candelario speak standard Spanish when he makes his anonymous call to Harvey. Amazing!

I don't care about Marcos at all. I just don't want him doing more harm to Flora. Are you listening to me, Toad Face?

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel - another mighty fine recap; I applaud you.

That Flavia sure is a piece of twisted work. Instead of just coming out and saying to B&B to stop what they're doing, she has to go about it the devious and malicious way, so as to have something to hold over them. She has some funny moments once in a while, but I really abhor her right now; it's all about me me me me.

I feel sorry for Bianca, cuz she is still young, trying her best not to be like Flavia, and really wants to have a loving (albeit step) family of her own. Having Flavia in the house is simply not helping.

Sebas seems to be a nice young man. He should at least be given a chance. I can't believe it's Mlle who'd have a say in Nina's personal life, acting like she's her mother, when all she is is a governess/nanny - another employee in the house. Besides, Nina should be allowed to make her own judgments and mistakes.

I was laughing when Ariel yelled 'enough' as Bruno was romping around with Nina. glad the big guy's now aware of that.

LA PATRONA

novelera - thanks for concise recap. wonderfully done.

Alejandro has the gall to go into Vero's bedroom. He's got a wife, a mistress, and now he's coming on to her? he is a complete turn off for me as a galán.

LA PATRONA:

Shallowgal, as a Ale/Gaby shipper, him trying to sleep with Vero was a major turn-off. I'm like what??? Dude, you need a woman break. Do not make your life more complicated than it already is. It's as if the writers are making him as despicable as possible. I think Lucia is not long for this world, because Ale, although still pining away for Gaby, has suffered little with her loss. He has to suffer for sleeping with Patti and betraying his best friend. That was just too despicable for words.

However, I do think the scene had a point. I think Ale now knows that it's Gaby because he did have a point about Vero being a little too hot-and-bothered by him to be just concerned about "business strategies." As much as I think Gaby and Ale should be felices para siempre, Ale should suffer a lot in order to get her.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Thanks so much for the recap, AdrianaNoel.

I kind of analyzed my own feelings when Flavia was sobbing in her room about being booted out of the mansion. Do I feel at all sorry for her, especially as the mother of an adult child. Short answer: Nah. She's brought this entire thing on herself. And even if her spidey sense is alerting her to the attraction between Bruno and Bianca, her metiche behavior continuously crossed the line.

She alienated everyone in the Piamonte household, treating the staff like dirt. The only one who saw the *fake* sweetness was Ariel, since he was the one with the bucks.

I know Bianca is going to react to her moving in with Ivan. Please, writers, do not move her back into the mansion!

I think Mme. is right about Sebas. I think he's a fortune hunter. Nina's 12-year-old persona doesn't seem like a match for such a handsome, sophisticated guy. When they were in Key West he was obviously behaving like a handsome young guy in his 20s, hanging with his buds. Nothing wrong with that, except that Nina fits into that scene exactly nowhere. So the only explanation for his pursuit, at least to me, is the $$$.

It drives me crazy that Ariel and others kind of try to guilt Bianca for kicking Flavia out. Can't they see what a troublemaker she is? She already hurt Nina with her "friendly talks" encouraging her feelings for Bruno. Only Bianca, having spent a lifetime with the woman, seems to get what a cancer she is to have around.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

More about Mme. and Nina. I think she's right about Sebas, but I agree, shallowgal, that her forbidding Nina to go out with Sebas and actually coming along when he wanted to explain things was just over the top. The only way Nina is going to grow up is, as you said, being allowed to make her own mistakes. It's just crazy that an 18-year-old is SO sheltered.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

uuughhh!!! novelera, I certainly pray Flavia does not move back into the Piamonte household.

And Bruno should get a place of his own, with the inheritance he got from the deceased uncle.

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

Miggy is saddened by Vales death. Fed says that Him, Miggy, and Aliva are all they have left and need to be toghether. Vales funeral is held. Zeke shows up and Fed says he will never forgive him.
Later dMart and Aliva visit Tonis grave. There he remembers her promise, survive to fight for the truth and not to let her death be for nothing. She also asked him to find a sweet woman who would love him.
Months later, Braterina has a bowling-ball belly and Eli is adding the final touches for the double wedding. Luci and Diana are to get married today and dMart and Aliva the next week.
However, the evil is not over. Though the Blond Gorgon has sung her swan song, the killer returns to kill Veronica Beaza. Tom finds her body with a plastic bag over her head. She died from lack of oxygen and a stab on the back.
In Veros mouth there is a written note: "Do you believe in ghosts? Im still alive, signed Valeria Samaniego." Rafa is detained as a suspect because she was the last person to see Vero alive.
dMart thinks that Luci could be the killer, and before Diana marries him, dMart decides to confront him.....

PASION PROHIBIDA

Shallowgirl, you make a very good point when you say that Flavia should just tell B&B they are doing something wrong; that is what a caring mother would do. But instead she chooses blackmail. So I guess now we know what Flavia's real intentions are, she couldn't care less about Bianca, her marriage or anything other than herself.

Novelera, when it comes to Sebas, I am sure he is more interested in the Piamonte money than in Nina, too; just like you said, he is to much of a man for a girl like Nina, especially one that doesn't even allow him to kiss her. I don't see him so smitten with her that he would put up with this kind of nonsense at his age.

That being said, I think Mlle's attitude is just to much; she is not basing her dislike of Sebas on him being interested in the money, she is just upset that he tried to kiss Nina. Who is 18!!

I can't stand Flavia. It would be so easy for her to just keep her mouth shut, or not push Bianca's buttons so much. But she just can't help herself.

I agree that Bruno needs his own place, but for now it is important for him to be there, bump into Bianca all the time and so on and so forth :)

I bet he will eventually move out (I hope it's not because he marries Eliana) but by the time that happens maybe Bianca will stop treating him like she does now and just surrender already!

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks for the recap, Hombre. Wow! Things are really starting to heat up in the Cartagena barrios. Harvey's dead and Blatchko's wounded and Vic proposes to Flora. Can't wait to see what happens tonight.

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- martes

Quoth the Maven:

"But the most important thing: HARVEY IS DEAD! (And of that I have not a shred of doubt.)"

Always wrong! Every damn time!
HAHAHAHAHAHA

MADE IN CARTAGENA - martes

NovelaMaven - you're not the only one surprised by tonight's last minute plot twist. I couldn't believe it - Harvey's alive after all.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Martes, Part 1

In one of the most gripping episodes EVER, this show shakes us to the core! We begin with Imanol and Silvie, just call Belen, he says, and read what I've written on this cellphone. Silvie calls, and tells Belen that she's Alicia from the cemetery, tomorrow at the cemetery, they're going to exhume the remains of her deceased husband, and there will be a small ceremony. I think they're moving the remains to a different crypt or location. It's the anniversary of Evilio's death, and Belen was going to visit anyway. She'll call the family. She calls Flora, who says she'll be there, and then she calls Cande, who's in a cab with Dixon, coming back from having killed Harvey. I think somehow Imanol is able to listen in on this second call. Anyway, all 4 will be at the cemetery tomorrow. Imanol thanks Silvie, she did it! He just has to get Vicente there.

Vicente is all excited about the wedding, he's bought Flora a dress, she remarks how it's bad luck that he already saw it, but he says that's foolishness. She'll look great tomorrow.

And now it's tomorrow. A whole lot of things happen. Matilda is all dressed up, and when Sofi questions her, she admits she's going to Vicente's wedding. Sofi is stunned, begs Mati not to go. Mati wants her to give Flora and Vicente a chance, but Sofi says no way. Then Marcos calls her, tells her he just made up the stuff about Flora, she thinks that's strange, he then says he's going on a long trip, sorry, but he couldn't say goodbye in person. That's even stranger. Back on the pier where Marcos was making the call, with a bloody and bruised face, he's tells Blatcho he did his part, can he leave now? No way, brother, you owe me. Invite me to your house for a beer, okay?!

We see Agua Mala prying open the bottom of a desk or table, and inside is the half fake, half real Santa Helena that Harvey had hidden! He makes a call, got it!

Cut to the cemetery. Belen, Cande, Flora and Dixon are gathered in front of Everio's crypt, waiting for the pastor to show up for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Imanol tells Vicente, come with me, and you'll finally know the truth about Flora. Vicente says no way, so Imanol HANDCUFFS him, and drags him to the cemetery. Before they arrive, Belen says she has a confession to make. She was Harvey's lover. The children are shocked, but ask, was this before or after Dad died? She hesitates, umm, it was before. Please forgive me! They're not happy, but finally Cande, Dixon and Flora forgive her, and hug her. Then she adds, but that's not all. I have to get this off my chest, I've been living with it for so long. Harvey and I had a child. And it's Dixon!!! Whoa! Dixon goes nuts, is about to say something that he'll be sorry for, when Cande hustles him out of the ladies' hearing range. He rants I killed my own father! But after a bit, Cande reminds him how horrible Harvey was for all those years. He finally comes back, tells his Mom, THIS is my real father (pointing to Everio's crypt). All is forgiven.

But by this time, Imanol has dragged Vicente to the cemetery, and sure enough, he rounds the corner, and there they are! Flora is right there with Belen, Candelario and Dixon! Vicente wants to rush in, wants to kill somebody (Flora and the others don't see him), but Imanol restrains him, that way you'll never get back the Santa Helena. We have to play our cards right. Vicente says I was a fool. She used me, used my daughter! This whole thing was a set up. I'll never forgive her. I want to see her SUFFER! Cut back to the family, a cemetery employee walks up, and when they ask about the ceremony, he goes, what ceremony? You're not on the list. Uh oh, they think, this smells of cop stuff.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 2

Back at the hideout, the band meets. Blatcho wonders where Harvey is. Cande tells him, Harvey's dead. He was killed by the Shadow. He went to meet some guy about the Santa Helena, and asked us to come along as backup. But when we got there, Shadow KILLED him! We got this picture (shows Dixon's cell picture), but we couldn't stay, Shadow was going to go after us! So this is what we do next. Wait a minute, says Blatcho, who said YOU were the boss? I'M the new leader! Wrong, replies Cande. I am. They decide to settle it in the street. They go outside, a gun is laid down, Agua Mala goes one, two, three and they run for the gun. Cande kicks it away, and a furious battle ensues. But at one point Cande kicks Blatcho's leg (where Marcos had stabbed him), and Blatcho goes down. Cande gets the gun, points it at Blatcho, deciding whether or not to pull the trigger. In the end, he doesn't, and they go back inside, everyone agrees Cande is the new leader. He sits in the big chair, and hands out stacks of bills to each member. He tells Blatcho he expects the same total loyalty from Blatcho as Blatcho had for Harvey, and Blatcho swallows and says okay. Dixon gets a smaller pack of bills, he hasn't been with the crew as long. Cande announces we have to get the Santa Helena to Shadow to end this nightmare. I have it all set up. Mireya, you'll be the courier.

After she leaves, Blatcho and Agua Mala are not in the room when Cande tells Dixon, I want you to make a call. Dixon calls anonymously to Imanol, tells him the address where Mireya is going to drop off the Santa Helena, it's a trap. Cande really WAS on to Mireya! Imanol and Vicente go to the typical abandoned building, lying in wait for Mireya, wondering when Sanchez will arrive. Vicente says remember, she has to be alive, she's our only link to the rest of the group. Imanol says I can't promise anything. Mireya shows up, looks around, doesn't see anyone. She calls out, Shadow? I'm here. With the package. Imanol jumps out, drop it! She freezes, holds her gun in the air, as he tells her don't be stupid. She then tosses the knapsack to Imanol and Vicente, and jumps a ledge to get away. But Sanchez and the cops are right there, and she's arrested. Inside the knapsack are the half fake, half real Santa Helena, and the real bottom part. Vicente confirms, the whole thing is back. Vicente wants to be in on the interrogation, and Sanchez says okay, since you helped recover the treasure. At the station, Mireya won't say anything, wants her phone call. She calls Cande, who AGAIN plays it cool, she tells him it was a trap (but she doesn't suspect Cande). He says don't worry, hold tight, we're with you. Right.

Cut to Flora, looking absolutely dreamy in a satiny wedding gown, very revealing, a true vision. She goes to the beach pier where it's going to take place with Karen, also all dressed up. Matilda arrives, and Flora's happy about this. She had told her Mom and brothers about the wedding, and they were at first very opposed, but eventually all said she had their blessing. But of course, they can't be there, as it would give everything away. Little does she know. She had told them she'll tell Vicente the truth very soon, and then she'll introduce Belen as her Mom. Hopefully Vicente will forgive her.

Doubt it. Vicente is late. Very late. I think he may end up showing up anyway, but this will have to wait until tomorrow. For now, we're given one more goodie. Harvey's ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

Diana is worried over Veros murder. She thinks Luci may be responsible for the crime. While the police have already said that there is no evidence that connects him, her wedding wont be as good as she thought it would be.
Later, Tom interrogates Fed and Aliva for Vales supposed death, who was really disconnected by her own daughter. The killer left a note in Veros mouth signed by Vale. Fed takes the blame and Aliva argues that her mother begged to be disconnected. Tom detains Fed.
Meanwhile, Rafa investigates Veros death on her own. She finds the journal with all of her contacts in her apt. She finds the name of the receptionist that worked the night Tanya and Mari were killed. She confesses that she saw Aliva enter the hotel with Tanya as best friends.
Immediately Rafa complains to Tom. while he attempts to close that story, he asks for the same receptionist, but she is late for work.
At church, Aliva thanks her father for taking the blame over Vales death. He cant leave the country for now, his lawyer will take care of the rest. He hears the conversation and says he will never forgive them.....

LA PATRONA

Thanks so much Novelera for the Lunes recap. I couldn't get to it until tonight but still wanted to say 'thanks - much appreciated!'

Hombre, I thought Vero told Coni that 'they' would get Ricardo the help he needs (for his 'problem'). That sounds to me like he's been given a reprieve and is off the venganza list.

Antonia was at her evil best condemning and humiliating Prude at the club. That was truly awful. And wimpy Prude just allowed the whole degrading scene to play out. She could have fought back, or at least thrown the resignation letter at Antonia, but she must have been too traumatized to defend herself.

J desde NYC, Ricardo comforting Patty in bed, that was a sweet scene. I agree, their marriage/relationship is strengthening.

Pasion Prohibida Tuesday

Part 1

Just like I guessed yesterday, Ivan has a woman at his apartment. Flavia is outraged that he would betray her like this, but he points out the fact that he got tired of always waiting for her, always available whenever she wanted him to be. Flavia is even more upset when she finds out the other woman is just a prostitute and she just storms out. Instead of being relieved that he just dodged a bullet, Ivan runs after her, but she won't change her mind about not staying with him. Although I despise Flavia, I have to say I would have done the same thing if I were her; finding the man you are involved/ were involved with a prostitute is kind of a turn off.

At the Piamonte's everybody is still watching the movies, when Nina again asks if Bianca is not upset her mother left. To get rid of all the questioning, Bianca decides she wants some wine. Bruno goes with her, and in the cellar he asks her if she told Flavia about them because it looks like she knows something. But Bianca denies having said anything to her mother; what she should have done was tell Ariel, maybe this way Bruno, instead of Flavia, would be out of the house (yeah, right, like you would rather have Flavia not Bruno glace at you all day long). Bruno gets all offended and asks her if she really wants him gone? If that is the case, she should just say the words. Bianca sees no point in doing this, he will get married and leave in a few months anyway.

In the mean time Penelope is going crazy, she is very concerned for Flavia because her mother is not anwering her phone. Bianca is not that worried, but Ariel keeps insisting that she should call Flavia just to make sure she is ok. Bianca knows that Flavia is only trying to get their attention, this is all a game for her, but eventually caves in and calls Flavia. Her mother, who is now in some seedy hotel room, doesn't answer the phone, she keeps on drinking. Bianca calls Ivan, he tells her they had a fight, but not the reason why.
Finally Flavia calls Penelope, tells her she is in a 5 stars hotel and she doesn't want to go to her place. Penelope calls Bianca to let her know their mother is fine.

Ariel goes to Bruno's room (he is boxing) to apologize for screaming at him before with Nina. Bruno says his uncle was right, he knows he has to stop acting like that, he just forgot for a moment. I think they should just talk about Nina's feelings for Bruno and stop giving this such a huge importance if they want the problem to go away.

In tke hallway, Bianca tells Ariel Flavia is fine; and, although she loves her mother, she is happy she is gone because she always felt Flavia could put a strain on their marriage; now that she is not around anymore Bianca is sure everything will be alright. Ariel agrees with her but he looks preoccupied with something (Nina?); he will go sculpt a little while in his taller.

Pasion Prohibida Tuesday

Part 2

In his room, Bruno is acting very restless. He sees Ariel leave and goes to the office, where Bianca is seated at the desk, writing something on the laptop. She is not happy to see him, but he just came to keep her company and talk about Flavia, of course. He wants to know why she left, he is afraid she knows something and she will tell it to his uncle. Bianca accuses him of getting them into this problem in the first place, because he kissed her. But Bruno doesn't want to take all the credit, she did her part, too, he was the victim (really, Bruno?) while she is playing the innocence card (so, let's get this straight, they are both guilty, but so far Bruno is 10 times more than Bianca). They are both very intense, Bruno approches Bianca and it looks like he is about to kiss her. But instead of kissing her on the lips, he gives her a quick, lustful peck on the cheek (yeah, I didn't know those exited either); it must have been some awesome peck because she looks shaken to the core (I am not sure if this is because she is dissapointed he didn't kiss her again, or he is just that good that just touching her cheek can drive her crazy - you all remember how the first time he kissed her, she was sick an entire day - this guy must be really good, he certainly has the looks for it - hehe). As he is about to leave, she says that she hates him (oh, the "I love you" must not be that far in the future, then); Bruno turns around to ask "Are you sure about that?" Yeah, Bianca, are you?

The next morning Flavia wakes up in the hotel room. The bathroom is a horror, she calls the hotel staff to come clean it. Eventually she checks out and leaves.

Yair is taking Nina and Santi to school. Once there, he tries to talk to Nina, but she is upset that he treated a friend of hers like that, when all he wanted to do was kiss her (in a normal world I would agree with her, but this is Nina we are talking about and she was not happy with that kiss). Yair insists he only wanted to protect her, but Nina says she treated him like someone from the family and that is why he is confunding things; from now on, he should keep his distance and remember his place in the house.
Yair is crushed afte the talk, he goes home and starts packing his bags. Nobody can convince him to stay.

In the mean time, Bianca is by the pool, sunbathing. As she is putting some lotion on, Bruno watches her from his room and, well, you know what is going on through his head.
Flavia calls Bianca, who is very happy to be rid of her mother. But Flavia tells her she has only 20 dollars left in her purse and she will use them to go tell Ariel about what Bianca and Bruno are doing behind his back.

On his way to the pool, Bruno finds out Bianca left in a big hurry, but Celeste doesn't have a clue where she could be.

Of course Bianca ran to the office, where Flavia is just about to tell Ariel the whole truth. Bianca stops her by saying she wants Flavia back in the house. Ariel is surprised (poor guy, I would be, too), but both Flavia and Bianca put on a great reconciliation show.

Later in the car, Bianca says she only felt pity for Flavia, but her mother knows Bianca is afraid because of what she feels for Bruno, as much as Bianca doesn't want to admit it. She should take her as an ally, Flavia insists. But Bianca doesn't want to hear her, she will find a way to prove Flavia that what she thinks about her and Bruno is wrong and that she loves her husband. And then she will throw her out.
Flavia is not worried, now she knows what Bianca's weak spot is.

With all this game Flavia has started, Bianca is only getting the ugly part of cheating - someone always threatening to expose her. How about she tries for the sexy part, too, just to know what she is bending over backwards to keep hidden

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- martes

Hombre, you have gotten amazingly good at this. I wonder if this is a skill you can put on your resumé ... hmm. Anyway, lucky for us!

If last night's developments are any indication, this is speeding towards disaster and tragedy all around. My hopes for romance are dim; I'm just hoping some of the "good guys" make it out of there alive. And still "good guys."

Cande's setting up Mireya took me by surprise. And Harvey coming to life, like some hideous groaning swamp monster! Yikes!

We must be very near the end. Anyone have an idea when the last episode will be shown? Have they said?

MADE IN CARTEGENA:

NovelaMaven, thanks for the kind words. Last night they said the Gran Final was coming, but didn't list a date. In one recent show, it was announced only 2 days before it happened. I'm going to guess that it will be on or before next Friday, but who knows? Now that the bank has the Santa Helena back, and some leads on the thieves, I agree, it looks like tragedy to come. But as we all know, those writers always seem to throw us a curveball!

LA PATRONA:

As some of us predicted, Prudencia has in fact gone bonkers, yelling about the Angel of Death, etc. I thought it was funny when Macario told Antonia and friends, I can't kill her, I'm a respected rancher now! Hah! But he gets Lucas to do it, pushing Pru, drugged by Gertru, into the path of a truck. Ayyyy!

We still have no idea what Veronica's plan is with the big hospital, how that'll cause the downfall of the others. But I can easily see this phase of slow retribution going on for months. It took a good week for the first victim, and there are 12. I'm guessing Alberto and Ramon are next, since they're already stealing gold.

I love Cecilia, she's always listening in, popping up at the right times. I STILL think David will change. As bad as he is, you can see him waver at times, not so happy with what Antonia's doing.

Pasion Prohibida -

thanks so much AdrianaNoel for your nice summaries!

an afternoon watching rented movies with the family,
how exciting!
right Bruno?

what directions did Flavia give to the cab driver, the first big tree you see?
poor Ivan, didn't have much time left on the clock anyway, poor anyone that falls for Flavia,
and poor Katia, abandoned by Flavia, has she ever have a friend, a puppy, a favorite doll, anything?

it's taken me a while but I think I finally like Nicolas, he sure tries hard, caught between two impossible families, and good for Federico that Flavia didn't arrive to stay,

Nina on a date still scares me,
and Sebastion is just an older guy she met in a bar in Key West, how can this be a good thing,
the last thing this story needs is a pregnant Nina,

was Ariel going to buy a house for Flavia to live in?
how did Flavia ever let her daughter out maneuver her and get this golden guy?
I'll bet that this never happens again.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

wonderful recap, with a dollop of humor AdrianaNoel. thanks!

Like you, I couldn't believe my ears when he said 'I'm your victim.' que??? C'mon Bruno... don't wait for her to say she wants you out of the house if you're gonna play the victim card. geez, how much longer are they gonna torture us with their hot and cold treatment of each other? no matter. they still hold my attention.

has anyone noticed every time Bruno looks out his window, he's got a different view of the grounds? whether it be the courtyard, driveway, the pool area where Bianca was sunning herself.

That character Yair can leave and spread his wings as far as I'm concerned. he's a downer. Is he supposed to be around Nina's age? he certainly looks older than Bruno.

I don't want to talk about Flavia today!!!

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

oh deb - you just reminded me...I've been meaning to mention Nicolas, and keep forgetting. he is so lovable!!! an all around good guy.

La Patrona -

so Alberto seems to have a place with the Lobos, family yet?
but didn't he call Veronica, Patrona?

amazing performance by Prudencia, (Kenia Gascón)
I wanted to see more of her,
I wanted her to finger only Lagarto for Inocencia's death,
but I guess if your last friend in the world turns out to be the Angel of Death...

and the bloody bare feet,
just like Gabrielas in the catacombs,

(how did she figure out that she was on the Lobos list?)

Alejandro's ways must be rubbing off on Patti,
who desperately searched for her mom, who was everywhere,
and never finds her,

Pudencia's death was sure sloppy,
only a tranquilizer? (Gertrudis seems to have this orgasmic look everytime she injects someone)
the truck driver had to have seen her being pushed,

interesting that Antonia breaks in her new helpers by having them kill,
so they can be eternally blackmailed,

Hombre, I like Cecilia too, she has a good heart,
(and a wonderful performance by Gina Vargas, who has very little spoken lines)
hopefully Poncia will be able to protect her,

LA PATRONA

Great comments about last evening's episode.

I think Lucas has turned out worse than his disgusting father. Taking the 'package' to throw her in front of a truck is just despicable. He certainly is showing promise as an up and coming lobo. And wasn't there someone (?Macario) watching the killing and maybe evaluating Lucas' performance.

But is Prude really dead? I know I saw a pulse at the base of her throat after the truck driver checked her. Either she was still alive, or the film editors missed something.

The scene in the park with David asking Ale why Lucas was following Ale was pretty funny. Ale, as usual, our myopic galan, didn't have a clue that he was being followed, but David picked up on the 'shadow' right away. I loved how David remembered how he had almost died years before and went after Lucas and slugged him.

I also believe David will shape up and become a decent young man. He still has a lot of his mother's values even though it's hard to see them sometimes.

I also wondered about Prude's so quickly figuring out who, including herself, was on the venganza list. That tells me that the self-proclaimed Christian woman knew she was wrongly behaving in a hateful, non-Christian way when she condemned Gabriela for Julia's death.

Pasion Prohibida
Excellent recaps AdrianaNoel as always. Thanks. Very clever! But was that a Freudian slip where you have Bianca "bending over backwards" ?
shallowgal, I agree that Yair is one miserable dude. Tough to watch. We've seen a lot of Yair. I wonder if he will figure in the main B/B plot, like unmasking them [once something really gets going, gotta be soon, right?] out of his jealousy of Bruno?
Yair won't escape either. They're all doomed to continue living in that mansion of intrigue.
Clara

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

omg Clara! your "they're all doomed..." sounds most ominous. I'm getting chills down my spine.

Pasion Prohibida

Deb, I believe Ariel was going to find a house to rent for Flavia. Of course he would have payed for that, too. I get that he is rich, but he does have 2 kids and a nephew that are waiting for a big inheritance when he dies. Not to mention the young, new wife :))
As for Nina ending up pregnant...GOD, you know what they say about children having children...

Shallowgal, I noticed that little detail about Bruno's window view, too! I even wanted to mention it in today's recap, but I forgot. The other day he was watching Santi by the pool and now he is watching Bianca, too, so I guess that is fine. But he also has a clear view of the alley that leads back to the taller. And when we see him watch the alley, there is no pool on the background. And after the pool, is that a river?
You are so right about Yair, I couldn't really tell what I didn't like about him until now, but it is his constant bad mood. I get why he feels bad, everybody in this house loves the wrong person, but even Camila finds ways to smile once in a while.

Clara, you know, I was a little surprised when I saw Yair act so cold toward Bruno, but I guess that is normal if he knows Nina's feelings for him. If he does find out about B&B I can see him exposing them, not that this could actually help him. I would like to see him gone, too, but what would the fun be then? :)

The Piamonte mansion has become a "Who loves who" contest and "Which possible union is less likely", with B&B taking the big prize, the fun part being the fact their interest is mutual.

LA PATRONA

Excellent comments, Hombre, Deb, and Beth.

I thought Prudencia's descent into madness was a little bit too rapid. One minute she's on her way for [quite sensible] help from her only friend in SPDO, and the next she thinks Vero/Gaby is an angel of death returned from the dead.

That Lucas is one evil kid. I was wondering why they suddenly had him working at El Dorado. At first it appeared like it was just to spy on Max and Valentina, but now he has a more sinister role. Hit him again, David!

About Vero's plan for the lobos, the only thing I can think of is to catch them in un desfalco (embezzlement) of the hospital funds. [How I love remembering the right word in Spanish, when I do remember it!]

Cecilia is adorable, especially when she smiles. Since Poncia is on to them, maybe she won't be seduced by David after all. If he turns good, they could end up together without an unplanned pregnancy.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Of course Flavia was going to be baaaack. But I'm disappointed all the same. I felt like slapping that smug face as she gloated about her victory over her daughter on their way back in the car.

OK, it is shocking to find the "love of your life" [at least as much love as she's capable of] with a prostitute there. But, he's right! Her selective memory was that she asked him to be patient. But I remember her telling him they never could be together. So, what's he supposed to do, join a monastery? If you dump a guy, you lose all right to judge his subsequent actions. Plus she showed up without even calling first.

Pasion Prohibida
shallowgal, no need for chills, "doomed" does sound ominous but I think I meant more like stuck, trapped, rats in a maze, hamsters on a wheel in the Piamonte mansion, for us to see how it all plays out. Slowly.
AdrianaNoel and shallowgal, re the grounds, what is with the checkerboard grass squares? I thought that was the ocean or major water to the ocean beyond the pool. In any event, Bruno has a great view.
Maybe the wine cellar can become the new taller. That was a cool room for a tryst.
deb, I like your comments and their structure. very poetic.
Clara

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel/Clara - if you google images of the Miami islands (the 3 most prominent being Star, Hibiscus, and Palm -where the wealthy reside), you will get an idea of the layout of the Piamonte mansion by the water.

LA PATRONA

One thing about the David-Cecilia relationship that got me thinking is whether or not they are related. We still don't know what the Antonia-Poncia connection is, whether it's a blood relationship or something else. Maybe David and Cecilia aren't related at all - or maybe they're cousins.

I did not like the way Ale and Valentina's lawyer was immediately sucked into Antonia's web (mixed metaphors?). I hope he keeps his mouth (and his briefcase!) shut.

Really cute scene with Gaston sweetly telling Francisca how good her casseroles are! And her telling him how much she enjoys cooking for a man who loves her food! Loved it!

And poor Gaston - kneed in the groin and brought down by a crazy woman in the driveway and then treated not so tenderly by Lucho who told him to put his legs up to increase the blood flow - ouch!

Beth

La Patrona

I was pretty disgusted at the priest who said he couldn't give Prudencia sanctuary because "people would talk." Isn't that what the Church is supposed to do for the needy?

Fantastic job by Kenia Gascon, showing Prudencia's slide into madness. She'd had a pretty sketchy grip on reality for a long time, IMO. It's interesting that her psychotic break happened when she realized the truth. And she was right. She interpreted Gabriela's "resurrection" over-literally, but she absolutely called it that Gabriela/Veronica had come back to get them all.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Miércoles, Part 1

Well, the party's over. We've reached the top of the cliff, and it looks as if we're goin' down! Flora waits and waits for Vicente on the pier. Karen tries to cheer her up, but it's been quite a while. Watusi shows up, tells Flora he knows she was forced to do all those things, but now she should wake up, not go through with it. She's surprised he knows, insists she loves Vicente, and asks him to please leave, which he does. He later confronts Vicente at his house, even gets into a little fist fight with him, but Vicente just says stay out of this, and Sabroso drags him away.

At the pier, finally Matilda calls Vicente, who tells her there's not going to be a boda. Ever! Mati tells Flora the bad news, but leaves out the “ever” part. Carmen Villalobos does an amazing job here, going from wide eyed hopefulness, to speechless shock, to hysterical tears, very moving, you could really feel her distress.

Vicente tells Imanol he thinks Flora was the one at the boat exhibition, where they found blood. He's going to try to get a sample of DNA, so they can see if there's a match. If so, he'll make sure Flora goes to jail. He even tells Imanol he's willing to marry Flora if necessary, to catch her in her game! Imanol shows Silvie the recovered Santa Helena, and she's happy.

The only thing the cops get out of Mireya is that they see her bracelet says the Basurto. Sanchez searches the place, even goes upstairs, and goes behind the walls, but the guys have cleared out all the evidence. Cande is hiding behind a wall, and doesn't get found.

Somehow, Harvey isn't dead. I guess the bullets just grazed him, and one seems to be sort of stuck on the edge of his chest. Also, he fell all the way down. So he's stiff, and groans a bit, but that never stopped a novela villain, did it? Shadow finds him, tells him he's a failure, he ought to kill him now. But Shadow still wants the Santa Helena. So either Harvey gets it back, or Cande and crew get it back. Shadow will kill whoever doesn't get it. Harvey asks for a little cash. Shadow gives him nada. So Harvey robs his own SUV from in front of the Basurto. When he gets pulled over by a cop, he outsmarts the cop, opens the door, throwing the cop to the ground, takes his gun, pistol whips him, and takes his money. Nice.

Shadow confronts the remaining gang (Cande, Agua Mala and Blatcho), tells them to get the Santa Helena or else, doesn't care they only have three people and no equipment, then sprays the room with machine gun fire, causing them to duck for their lives. He's made his point.

Harvey later finds Blatcho, and is just about to kill him, when Blatcho says Candelario said the Shadow killed you, we're blood relatives, you got to believe me, don't kill me! After making Blatcho grovel a bit, Harvey believes him. Blatcho musn't tell anyone Harvey's alive. He'll be Harvey's eyes. And they'll get the Santa Helena back and kill Cande and his whole f*ing family! Oooyyyy!

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 2

Flora rushes to Vicente's house to find out why he wasn't at the wedding. She tells him she wanted to confess something, when her phone rings. It's Cande, needs to see her urgently. She doesn't tell Vicente, of course, but never does get around to confessing. Vicente tells her he just got totally wrapped up in the Santa Helena, with the police and all, he couldn't make the wedding. But (he says) he still loves her just as much as the first day they met. And of course they'll get married, soon, when this all dies down. He gives her a warm (fake) hug, and while they're hugging, he takes a little scissors out of his pocket and cuts off a tiny lock of her hair. He later gives it to Imanol, do the DNA test, pronto!

Flora meets with Cande, who says you've got to help me, Shadow wants to kill me, we have to get the Santa Helena back. No way, says Flora, I just can't. I love Vicente, and I have to stop lying to him. Cande says then I'm going to die. Flora shudders, cries, finally seems to agree she might help, doesn't want Cande to die.

In a hospital, a technician sees a cellphone ring in a little plastic bag. It says “Toti”. This of course is Marcos's nickname for Sofi. The technician calls the number back, Sofi answers, and he informs her to come down to the morgue! When she gets there, she says it can't be Marcos, but it IS! Marcos is dead, looks like he was hit by a car or something, although we know better, and Sofi is destroyed. Vicente then gets a call, are you the uncle of Marcos?, and HE's destroyed. Sofi rushes to Flora's rich house, Karen cuts her off outside, Sofi says tell Flora it's her fault my cousin is dead! Karen goes in, just tells Flora Sofi was out there, trying to hit her or something. But later she tells Flora the truth, and Karen feels it's her fault, she told Harvey to stop that Marcos from spying, and you know what Harvey's capable of!!

Sofi has reached the breaking point, swallows a jar full of pills, Mati finds her unresponsive. No! Vicente is called, Sofi tried to kill herself, come to the hospital, quick!

Yes, not a pretty episode. And I have a feeling it's only going to get worse!

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

Diana arrives more beautiful than ever to the church. By Juans hand, Luci couldnt be more nervous and happy seeing the love of his life enter the big door. The Alvarados and Mercaders unite after a dark era marked by pain and tragedy.
During the ceremony, Aliva receives a call from Rafa, whom she finds outside the church and wants to talk to her. The lawyer tells her that she knows everything, that she killed all of those women. Though she wants to halt the wedding, Aliva stops her.
At the party, Rios shows up uninvited and though Zeke tries to kick him out, Felipe assures that he gave dMart the money to buy the bank. That makes him the majority holder. dMart tries to explain everything, but Zeke sees this as betrayal.
Meanwhile, Aliva and Rafa suddenly disappear. Nat suspects something bad happened and calls Tom so he can investigate. When the detective arrives to the party he finds that Aliva appeared recently, alone with her, the nurse tells him that Rafa strongly suspects Nat and asked him to be careful with her. Buenaventura still suspects.
Its nighttime and still no trace of Rafa. Luckily, Tom receives a video from a security camera close to the church, in it he identifies the red shoes that Aliva wore that evening, she took Rafa.....

Pasion Prohibida

Flavia is back at the house and very happy about it. Katia is happy, too, that she still has a job, not that Flabia cares very much about that.

Nina has a change of heart, she feels very guilty for the way she treated Yair. She calls him to apologize, he says he is leaving the house. Desperate to talk to him, Nina asks her principal to let her go. She only gets the permission after she calls Ariel and tells him part of the situation (that Yair wants to go).

Back at the house, Bruno sees Flavia coming through the window (we are led to believe this, even if he CAN'T have a view of the entrance, because he already has one of the back of the house). He meets Bianca in the hall and asks her why is her mother back. Well, because she threatened she would tell Ariel everything. Bruno urges Bianca to convince her mother nothing is going on, but Bianca only gets more angry, because he is the one who is causing all these problems; he needs to stop looking for her, playiong with fire. But Bruno sees the things differently, this is a 2 way street for him (as in Bianca did her part, too?). But Bianca disagrees, she doesn't think she did anything wrong, she is a married woman, he is the one who needs to behave. I agree that she is at least trying to do the right thing, but if thinking about it is part of cheating, too, then Bianca is not that innocent and she knows it.

Yair isists he will leave, even if everybody begs him to stay. He doesn't even want to wait for Ariel to come and say goodbye in person. He us such a drama queen, I can't stand him in this episode. He doesn't even want to talk to Ariel on the phone when he calls Mlle to ask what is going on in his house. Mlle says she will handle it, it's not that bad, Yair is not going anywhere.

Ariel is very upset with all the things happening behind his back in the house. Nico invites him to have a coffee and they start talking about Flavia. Nico admires Ariel's resistance when it comes to Flavia. When he hears that she is back at the house (and Ariel is very disgusted with the back and forth) he warns him that Flavia is very controlling and she always has a plan in motion. And he reveals him the fact that Flavia didn't agree with Bianca marrying him not because he was older, but because she wantem him for herself. Ariel is shocked, he can't believe this is true and is even more upset when he finds out Bianca knew about her mother's feelings. He starts to suspect that maybe the only reason Bianca married him was the competition with her mother. BANG!

Nina arrives home and apologizes to Yair over and over again, to make him stay. She even does it in front of all the servants; finally Yair caves in, but he still acts like Nina offended him to no end. When they finally hug and make up, it is Camila's turn to cry and feel bad...and on and on we go...

Pasion Prohibida Wednesday

Part 2
In the meantime Bianca wants to know why her mother didn't stay with Ivan. But Flavia doesn't tell her anything, of course. Ivan arrives to talk to Bianca (he doesn't know Flavia is back). He pleads with Bianca to help him get her mother back (heh), he is desperate, their fight was because of a misunderstanding. But Bianca won't help him unless she knows the real reason why they fought.
So Ivan tells her the truth about the other woman. Bianca understands why her mother would feel offended, but Ivan explains that she had broken up with him.
Then, he wants to know if she is the reason Flavia rejected him. But Bianca says she doesn't hate him, just that it is hard for her, because the first time she met him, her father died.
Ivan tries to explain that her parents' marriage was already over; she might not understand this, because she is a newly wed, but when you've been with someone for a long time and the passion is gone, when you feel like your marriage has become a jail cell and a new man appears, who can give you the passion and happiness that you lack in your life, what do you do then? Bianca is having flashes of Bruno kissing her, Ivan's story strikes to close to home for her; she starts to scream at him, saying that Flavia's duty was to fight for her marriage, fight the urge to cheat. Of course she is mainly talking about herself, how could she not?
Ivan leaves, on his way out he meets Katia who got out of Flavia's room at her patrona's request (they could both hear Bianca's screams when she threw Ivan out). Katia doesn't tell Ivan where Flavia is, no matter how much Ivan begs.

Later, in her room, Bianca remembers Ivan's words. Just to prove Ivan and mostly herself wrong, she calls Bruno and tells him her marriage is perfect and he needs to stop looking for her, because if not, she will be the one to tell Ariel what he has been doing. Bruno, who is waiting for his uncle at the office, has no clue where this rage is coming from.

Flavia and Mlle have a talk about the way the other servants treated Katia while she was away and Flavia finally mentions the whole robe story and Yair's fight with Sebas. Mlle explains she only wanted to solve the problem; they leave it at that, but Mlle is furious; as she leaves the house, she runs into Yair. They go for a walk and Yair says he still wants to go, because he wants a life of his own, a family; with the Piamontes he will only be living their lives. Mlle understand this only to well.

Ariel arrives at the office and finds Bruno. He is even more upset because of what Nico told him about Flavia. Bruno tries to warn Ariel that Flavia is only causing problems in the house, intriguing, he is afraid he might say some lie about him, too (so Bruno is trying to be proactive - heh). Ariel doesn't need that much convincing, nothing will make him change his mind about his nephew, they trust each other to much.
Just then Flavia calls and Ariel puts her on speaker. She needs to tell him something in confidence, she is her ally and doesn't want to lie to him like others who only pretend to care about him. Bruno is very frightened, he is sure Flavia will tell Ariel about he and Bianca, but I am sure this is about Yair and Sebas; Ariel will find out from her, just when Yair and Mlle had decided to tell Ariel themselves (of course).

Pasion Prohibida

And here is my rant:

There is so much going on at any given time, every little thing that happens needs several episodes to be solved; now it's Yair's fight, before it was the robe, the servants leaving, a million other things that have nothing (NOTHING) to do with Bruno and Bianca as a couple. We barely see them together, I can't stand Yair, Camila, Katia taking so much air space. Enough with that.

I get that things need to happen slowly, but how about we get more than one 30 seconds scene now and then? Or how about a second kiss? By the time these two really cheat (if ever) it will be episode 200, Ariel will be long dead (of old age) and Santi will be preparing for retirement himself.
I am just to frustrated and, oh so tired of Flavia. I can't believe I ever found her remotely likable. And if Ariel keeps treating her the same after what he found out, then Bianca should just go ahead and cheat, he is not half the man I thought he was.

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- miércoles

No, not a pretty episode, Hombre. But a great recap! Thank you. I also thought Carmen gave an amazing performance.

It bugged me that Vicente snipped off a few hairs for DNA analysis. WE all know you need an intact root plucked right from the scalp for DNA testing. How is it possible the writers don't? Well maybe they are getting slap-happy by now. They just peppered Harvey with bullets and threw him down a ravine and then brought him back from the Not Quite Dead, as bad as ever. So I guess all bets are off ...

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much AdrianaNoel for your summary!
sorry for your frustration,
do you think that this may be the writer's way of sharing Bianca's frustrations with us?

interesting how our international corporate wonderman, Ariel, is slowly being clued in as to what actually goes on at his house, "oh you didn't know", of course Nicolas also planted the seed that Bianca had other motives for marrying him.

as Bruno has a multidimensional window in his bedroom, the staff have none, the perfect place to sulk and throw things, ah Yair, who dreams of a life, a home, family, and all, is thwarted by the pleas of Nina, and as he finally gives in, Nina gives him a big hug and says, I love you so much,
like a brother.

so yes, it must be the House,
no one leaves this place alive...

Mademoiselle has not even made it all the way to the door,
Yair did, but that was as far as he could get,

Bruno was thrown out, but like he was connected with a bungee cord, he came flying back, and now that he has been plotting his marriage escape, he has been trapped watching rented movies with the family and hasn't even been able to see his fiancé.

Salomon, Celeste, and Camila made it the farthest, willing to sleep in a driveway with hard suitcases for pillows, but that didn't even last the night.

Katia of course has no place to go,
(odd that Flavia has a "get out of the house free" card but wants to stay)

ah yes, the only person that has gotten out of this house is Ariels first wife, who has finally found peace.

if only someone would warn Ivan about hanging around there,
before someone fixes up a room for him.

LA PATRONA

I have renewed hope for Ricardo and Patty after last night's ep. He was so caring and supportive with her grieving, and she seemed very receptive and appreciative. And doesn't he look like a snarly little terrier when he gets protective of Patty?

The poor/lack of attendance at Prude's funeral shows that Antonia made her point with her public damning of Prude at the club. She is still the town bully and no one will challenge her.

Macario's wad of cash certainly helped Lucas get over any guilt he was feeling about killing Prude.

Is Ramon going to be #2 to die? I don't know that it was very smart of him to tell Macario and Lucas that he saw 'everything' about the murder.

Poor estúpida Valentina - she has unknowingly given Antonia all the info she needs to derail Ale's plan to protect Val and her inheritance. But why didn't he tell her not to tell Antonia (or anyone for that matter) anything?! Details, details.....

Antonia's 'dirty little trick' is going to compromise the lawyer (?Braulio) and cost Valentina a lot. But this is a TN, so I guess she'll be OK in the end.

And - good for Cecilia! Standing up for herself against David's advances! Now we'll see if he's really like his father or just a horny teenager who will take 'no' for an answer.

Beth

La Patrona -

great comments Beth!

I didn't quite understand the lawyer thingy, I guess it was to undo Antonia from being Valentina's guardian, but like all things Alejandro, what was a done deal, was postponed because of the funeral, (they sure like to get people into the ground fast in this pueblo).

and an interesting funeral it was, no one came, (not sure why Irene didn't go, was she just following the party line) and Ricardo continues to zero in on his mom, while Alejandro, who's timing is never perfect, gives Patricia (looking a little pale with no red lipstick) a take your breath away hug in front of Veronica, until the snarling snapping (as Beth put it) Ricardo finally runs him off.

I think the always guilty, always ready to do it again, Ramon, is just beginning to make the rounds upsetting everyone, he is kind of a lost sole since Alberto left to run the bank. I don't think they ever put together their plan to steal from the mine, and Veronica acts like she has too much money already to bother with that place for now.

I think David will try EVERY one of his unworkable approaches with Cecilia, and when he finally gives up, she will fall into his arms.

but Max and Valentina, now sleeping together under Antonia's roof...ooo...scary.

LA PATRONA

I think it's 'always about me' for Irene, and her non-attendance at the funeral was just that. She was feeling bad for herself, wanted sympathy for herself and didn't want to go against Antonia and feel Antonia's wrath. Irene is just a waste of space for me.

Braulio, Antonia's new lawyer, was supposed to meet with Ricardo to have Antonia's custody of Val set aside, probably to emancipate her or allow her to pick someone, not Ale, as her guardian. But that's all in the wind now.

Beth

LA PATRONA

Great comments, Beth and Deb. This was another exciting episode.

My God, what's wrong with Antonia. They said once that she was born poor and maybe this is the reason for the obsessive greed. It looks like she was ready to jump Braulio's bones to prevent his filing the papers with Ricardo. I thought El Chamuco as making her even richer. And she needs still more? By the way, the word they use, impugnar, which means to contest or challenge, is more commonly used in telenovelas in the sense of contesting a will. But I guess you can also contest a document granting guardianship.

I'm not sure what the deal was with Irene. She was completely grief stricken. She rightfully admitted her own guilt for refusing to take her mother in or support her when the town turned against her. Maybe she was too guilty to go to the velorio. At least she stood up to Antonia once when she told her she didn't get the info about Braulio from Ale because her mother had just died!

Yep, it surely looks like a big mistake on Valentina's part to give Antonia the information ahead of winning her release from Antonia's clutches.

The quartet of horny young 'uns in El Dorado is a powder keg. I really liked Max's efforts to not have sex with Val. It was in pointed contrast to David's selfish pushing of Cecilia. And when he didn't get what he wanted, he insulted her.

I'm concerned for Patti. Actually, their relationship is over. Too bad Vero doesn't realize this. That hug from Alejandro wasn't sexual; it was comforting. But Vero's jealousy is flaming right about now. And that's a dangerous thing.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Thanks for the fine recap, AdrianaNoel. Hmmm. I thought it was interesting that your view is that Flavia was hinting about Yair and Sebas. To me it seemed to be about Bruno and Bianca. She said, on speakerphone, that those closest to him were betraying him. That didn't sound to me like the coverup about Yair punching Sebas.

The woman is a snake, and I'm reaching my limit of wanting to watch the novela because of her. I hope Nico's telling Ariel about Flavia wanting him (really his money) for herself causes Ariel to take her remarks with a grain of salt.

LA PATRONA:

One of Antonia's plans has been to hook up David with Valentina. In theory, if Valentina married or got pregnant by David, Antonia would be closer to Val's money. But now Val slept with Max, and what if she's pregnant? That would certainly put a bee in Antonia's bonnet!

Veronica sure had an extreme reaction to that hug between Ale and Pati. Can't remember what she said to Lucho, was it wasn't quite in character with the serene image she's been trying to cultivate.

La Patrona -

yes Hombre, I think Max and Valentina seem to be prime canidates for a little injection therapy by the (never) good doctora cyclops, as Antonia has always shown without a doubt that she could care less about either of them, of course as long as she gets her legal paperwork in order first.

Julio seems to be creating his own little hell with his new live-in, Lucecita, not quite the same person he knew as his lover, (and Lucho, always flitting around, always on the verge of being caught), and where do they stick their kid all of time?

LA PATRONA:

I think GabiVero identified with Ricardo then-s

Patti is safe from Vero, imho. The minute Patti said she never believed Gaby was guilty and told her that Ricardo was impotent, the hatred for them literally melted off Vero's face. Coni was mad at Patti after that confession, but Vero was the one who said Ric knows about the affairs and he still loves Patti and they do love each other.

LA PATRONA

'Injection therapy' - oh, God! - Antonia would not hesitate to get rid of Valentina or her baby or both if it fit her purposes. As much as she hates los Suarez, she would never tolerate a little Suarez ruining her plans.

Antonia's greed will be her downfall. Gaby had more than enough time in the dungeon to analyze Antonia's motives and behavior and now she has the money to execute her venganza plan. Even though it's going to be a while before it happens, it's going to be fun watching her take Antonia down.

Ale continues to be Gaby/Vero's weakness. I wonder if he picked up on her jealousy or if he only saw her displeasure as contempt for his cheating on Irene with Patty.

Novelera, you're much more charitable about Irene than I am. But I suppose willful, selfish, obnoxious children like Irene can feel real grief.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - March 21, 2013 - pt. 1:

At the cave, Dixon and Cande practice their boxing. When Agua Mala appears, they stop and start talking about Harvey, Shadow and Santa Helena statue.

At the hospital hallway, Mati cries to Vicente - she tells him she found Sofi unconscious on her bed; she OD’ed and Mati was scared, she thought she was dead. Vicente takes the bottle of pills and feels guilty.

Cande, Dixon and Agua Mala meet with Shadow in the office. He wants them to retrieve the Santa Helena for him.

Doctor gives Vicente and Mati the good news - Sofi will survive; then he surprises them with the news that Sofi is pregnant.

Harvey, Blatchko and Perez are at the new hideaway, playing poker and discussing his new plan to get money.

Cande meets with Flora and Belen at the mansion living room. Flora tells them that she’s lied enough to Vicente and she can’t do it anymore.

Harvey tells Peres and Blatchko that they need to plan carefully their revenge against Cande and the gang, and Vicente.

Vicente and Mati visit Sofia in her hospital room. She cries and confesses that she and Marcos saw Vicente and Flora in bed together. He’s stunned.

Flora explains to Cande how much she’s had to sacrifice for Cande; she begs him to give up the statue to Harvey. Cande tells her Harvey’s dead.

Harvey (very much alive), Perez and Blatchko are joined at the hideaway by Shadow.

Cande tells mom and Flora that he and Dixon were in a hostage stand-off with Harvey. Dixon fought with Harvey and shot him. Flora responds. Cande cries and reminds them of everything that’s gone wrong and bad in his and their lives (his prison sentence, the statue, Shadow, police). Cande and Flora hug. Cande cries and Belen, crying, begs him to promise not to do anything dirty or underhanded. He promises to be careful.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - March 21, 2013 - pt. 2:

Vicente assures Sofia, then tells her the doctor said she is pregnant.

Harvey tells Blatchko to be in charge of keeping Belen and Flora at the house, in the living room. Harvey and Perez leave.

Flora tells Cande she wants to tell the truth to Vicente, but she won’t for him. Cande loves his sister and tells her to do what is best for her. He says bye to them. Before he leaves, he hands Belen the papers to Sabroso’s house - he found them in Harvey’s office. Cande leaves.

Silvie and Imanol are in Vicente’s office. She tells him she loves him and wants to make love to him. Before they can kiss, Vicente enters the office. Silvie talks with Vicente - she tells him she and Imanol have renewed their friendship; they are in love and a couple now. Vicente congratulations them and leaves the office.

In the bedroom at the mansion, Karen observes as Belen and Flora talk. Flora advises they could go to jail. Belen encourages her daughter to tell her everything.

Watu smiles as he walks down the street. Celina calls him on the cell phone. She is happy to hear his voice. He tells him he is ready to leave. She is so excited he will finally join her on tour.

Cande meets with Agua Mala at the cave. He tells Agua Mala they need to put together a quick plan to find the statue. They discuss the police and Flora.

Belen goes to answer the front gate bell. Blatchko surprises her with gun drawn. He takes her inside at gunpoint.

Karen and Flora visit Vicente at his home. They sit down. Flora tells him first, what she is about to tell him may seem strange but it is the truth and he needs to hear her out. She tells him she loves him - he says he loves her too. She says even though she loves him, she feels she has deceived and hurt and lied to him -- the reason was to steal the Santa Helena from him. He is confused. She explains she isn’t who he thinks she is. She tells him she is from the barrio and lives with her mom and her brothers. She works at the bar, Bazurto, owned by Harvey. He says he knows the man. She says he’s her godfather and the man who wants to destroy him.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - March 20, 2013 - pt. 3:

Blatchko harasses and pesters Belen in the living room. She argues back about him and Harvey. He wonders about something in her purse. Watu walks down the street in front of the mansion. Belen kicks Blatchko in the groin and has enough space to try and run out of the room. Blatchko quickly aims and shoots her in the back. She falls to the floor. Watu hears the gunshot and runs inside the mansion. He fist fights with Blatchko; Blatchko lands on the floor, gripping his sore leg in pain. Watu picks up Belen and carries her out of the mansion. Outside, Watu screams for help!

Flora cries to Vicente, about her pain with continuing to lie and deceive him everyday she was with him. She says his lifestyle is so very different from hers. Vicente asks, then why did you do it? She explains, Harvey ordered her to get close to Sofia and him in order to get access to the statue. Unfortunately, she fell in love with him in the process. Vicente asks, Why didn’t you say anything at all before now? She was afraid and lacked courage to say anything. She reminded him of their first kiss, at the party on the beach. She says she was so stunned when it happened, but that’s the moment when she became afraid to tell him and have him reject her. She didn’t want anything bad to happen to him; she thought that was the most perfect moment in her life. She begs him to forgive her and say something. He’s silent.

Watu gets Belen to the hospital. The doctors and nurses rush Belen on a gurney into the ER ICU. Watu stays in the reception area to take care of paperwork. Meanwhile, Blatchko is driving his van and calls Harvey to tell him about Belen being shot - there was lots of blood. He also informs Harvey that Watu showed up and fought with him and took Belen away.

Vicente tells Flora, All the lies about your life, your mother, were all an invention to hurt me and my daughter! Flora cries, I didn’t want to hurt you. Cande calls and interrupts the conversation. Cande tells his sister, he feels bad about her wedding cancellation and tells her he may have found a way to help her. Vicente asks, Who is it? Flora says, her brother Cande. Vicente swipes Flora’s phone and yells at Cande - he threatens to throw him back in jail. The phone call abruptly ends. Hoping to calm Vicente a little bit, Flora blurts out what Cande told her about Shadow.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - March 20, 2013 - pt. 4:

Watu calls and leaves a message for Flora, telling her that her mom is in the hospital.

As Harvey gives himself a very close shave, he and Perez plan how they will enter the police station. Harvey is confident he will be very successful.

Vicente doesn’t believe Flora is being sincere - he thinks she may be lying to him, just to steal the statue. Flora and Karen try to make him understand. He won’t listen anymore and throws them out of his house.

Harvey (dressed as a very tall, ugly woman) walks down the street with Perez (dressed as a security guard/policeman).

Flora and Cande meet again at the mansion. Watu calls her and tells her about Belen - she was shot and is at the hospital now. Flora freaks out and tells Watu they will be right there.

Lady Harvey and Perez walk upstairs in the police station. Harvey passes through the crowded hallway and finds Mireya. He whispers to her that Cande has stabbed them in the back/thinks he’s dead. He tells her about his new plan to get statue. She’s intrigued.

Cande and Flora arrive at the hospital and find Watu in the waiting area. He tells them what happened to Belen and that the doctors are with her right now. Flora and Cande hug.

Vicente meets in an office with the police officers. He tells them they have a new threat - another party who wants the Santa Helena.

As Harvey continues to talk with Mireya, Blatchko is on the street (dressed as a elderly businessman with a cane) and meets with a lady (also in disguise).

Doctor finally comes out to the waiting room and meets with Karen, Cande, Flora and Watu. He tells them Belen made it through treatment and will live. Flora is worried about the break-in at the mansion. Karen wonders about telling Dixon. Cande will handle telling him; then thanks Watu for saving his mom’s life.

Flora and Karen go to visit Belen in her hospital room. Flora sits beside the bed and Belen wakes up. They talk. Belen cries and hopes her daughter will tell Vicente about her. Flora will be at her side to take care of her, don’t worry about a thing. Flora tells her mom to rest and sleep. The girls leave.

In the hall, Flora and Karen talk about what Flora will do now. Flora wants to (is determined to) go to the police and confess everything. She doesn’t care about the consequences or going to jail - her mom’s been shot - she can’t take it anymore. Flora leaves. Karen, in a panic, calls Vicente - Vicente doesn’t want to talk - Karen doesn’t let him hang up - she begs and pleads with him to do whatever he can to stop Flora from going to the police!

ADVANCE: Rumbo al gran final! Vicente joins forces with Cande and Flora against Harvey and Shadow.

LA PATRONA – JUEVES

It turns out Antonia didn’t come to offer her body to Braulio. Rather, she kind of threatened him that powerful people arranged that document. And then she tried to bribe him. Didn’t work.

Lucho is spying on Vero and realizes she’s in a jealous fit. She can sense he’s watching her in her bedroom and gets angry. She only wanted a camera there for security.

Max comes to tell Vero at La Fortaleza that he overheard Antonia complaining to Aníbal about Ale hiring a lawyer to contest the guardianship. It was clear from what he overheard that the motive was greed. Vero tells him to be very careful and, after he leaves, she tells Lucho she wants the “forensic expert” to find out how Natalia, the grandmother died.

Constanza tries to convince Vero that Alejandro is a decent guy.

Lagarto overhears Gastón’s radio program in which he speaks about genocide of indigenous people and taking the case to The Hague. [I think this was one of the lobos' land deals, with Lagarto killing the people.]

Antonia nags David about his lack of progress in seducing Valentina. He tells her Val is in love with someone else.

Braulio tells Alejandro about Guerra’s attempt to bribe him.

Ricardo and Patti have a conversation at Pru’s grave that touches on her affair with Ale. Ricardo is angry, saying he seduced Patti. Patti assures him that SHE was the seducer. She almost tells him they are brothers, but doesn’t.

Irene comes and lets herself into her father’s house and discovers Luz. Luz arrogantly throws her out. Irene gets a look at Julio’s son, as well.

Antonia sees Max and Valentina by the stables and figures it out.

Alejandro comes to confront his mother in his office, but its Vero. She plays some games with him, flirting. He kisses her. It looks like a pretty good kiss to me, but later he says it was like kissing a block of ice. He says Vero is taking advantage of her resemblance to Gabriela to manipulate him. But it won’t work on the son of the best manipulator in three states.

Francisca has brought something to Gastón’s radio station for him to eat. She tells him how much she misses El Tigre. He tells her she deserves to be happy, to be loved, and then kisses her. They both then break apart, saying they need to be only friends.

Valentina has gone to a restaurant to meet Braulio. Whoops! This isn’t good. He puts a move on her, only to be told she’s got a boyfriend. I hope he wasn’t being honorable about the case thinking he’d be the ones to get his hands on all that money.

David is at his mother’s grave. He remembers the chewing out El Tigre gave him when he was little about blaming his mother for being unmarried. Vero has come with flowers for El Tigre, but tells David they were for Pru. She asks him about El Tigre and David smiles fondly, remembering his grandfather. He tells Vero that they were poor but happy, although he didn’t realize it at the time.

Antonia asks Ale why he’s always against her. He says he saw all her lies since he was a child, and her lovers. Gets a slap for this. She tries the pity card, asking why he hates her. He says his big problem is that he can’t hate her.

Lagarto and Julio want to arrange a convenient accident for Gastón, but Aníbal reminds them that he’s Vero’s right-hand guy. The one Aníbal wants to have whacked is Gertrudis.

Speaking of Doctora Vampira, she’s meeting with Vero about the hospital job. Vero tells her she was doing some investigation and found out about the fire at the nuthouse. Gertrudis says it was a horrible accident. But she stayed until the very end, and saved practically everyone. Gah! Vero just about tells her she has the job.

After Gertrudis leaves, Lucho and Vero talk about tonight being the exhumation of Grandmother Natalia’s body.

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

Tom investigates Rafas sudden disappearance. The last videos of the cameras near the church show images of the lawyers legs and her captor, wearing the same red shoes Aliva wore during the ceremony.
That night, Luci and Diana return to their apt as a married couple. But her father Juan, like dMart, thinks Luci may be the killer.
Nevertheless, the most suspicious is Aliva. Tom works the whole night to find her, but she isnt with dMart or her apt.
The monster girl is in an abandoned warehouse, threatening and scaring Rafa, who is tied up in a chair. There, Aliva takes out some tools, such as a knife, tweezers, and even a pickaxe.
Aliva explains to Rafa that her problems with her classmates did not involve Vero, but she had to but in. After removing the gag, Rafa begs for her life and promises to help her. Then she explains that she never wanted to kill again, but its in her nature and she cant avoid it.
To avoid suspicion, Aliva forces Rafa to call Tom and tell him she is safe in her house. Rafa is put to sleep and Aliva drives home. While driving, she hallucinates. The image of Vale tells her to be careful, soon she will fall. then she remembers how she killed Vero.
A few months ago, Vero discovered from the hotel receptionist, that Aliva rented the room where dMart and Mari were taken. To get revenge, she broke into Alivas apt with a knife. While the nurse insists that she is crazy, she soon realizes there is no escape, she hits her in the head with a vase and stabs her in the back.....

LA PATRONA

Thanks Novelera for such a quick recap. I hadn't gotten that very last part about the exhumation. That's great news. Our Lucho is very efficient when it comes to greasing palms and getting things done fast.

Maybe Antonia didn't bribe Braulio, but he seems to have ideas of his own about taking Val's millions. Now I'm doubly worried for her safety.

I'm also worried about Max. Antonia looked absolutely evil when she spied Max and Val, and her quizzing Max about his girlfriend sent chills up my spine. Lagarto may yet be recruited to stage that car accident he keeps talking about.

The son of the best manipulator in the tri-state area must have hit a sensitive nerve when he confronted Antonia about 'all her lovers'. That was some slap she gave him.

I think Irene was more shocked about Julio's love nest and his new little family than she was about Prude's death. I absolutely loved the cat fight in the foyer and was cheering for Luz. And then Irene the hypocrite had the nerve to tell Patty that she/Irene is the only honorable one in their family.

Vero's talk with David was so important for both of them. She finally got to see the son she loves and share some of his happy memories, and David was smiling and seemed to be happy for the first time in a long time.

Patty's red lipstick is gone!

Pasion Prohibida

Deb, about my frustration on the writing and the slow pace: PP is a remake of a turkish series, that is an adaptation of a novel written in the 20's, and the book is inspired by real life events. So, I can't really blame the writers here. You make an interesting point about Bianca's frustration; if I am antsy about Bruno, imagine her, poor girl :)

HAHAHAHAHAHA to your replay of the way everybody could have gotten out of the house, but didn't; Bruno's "multidimensional window", his "marriage escape" followed by watching rented movies with Bianca, who was all over Ariel just next to him, the servants willing to sleep on "hard suitcases for pillows", Flavia's "get out of the house free card" that she never wants to use....well done, my friend, these comments made my day!
Maybe Ivan could sleep in the office, or the taller (but, NOOO, where would all the real drama happen, then?)

And, YES, how about business wonderman (great description) Ariel, who has no clue about what is going on in his house? How did this guy make his millions? Well, I guess nobody ever accused him of having any kind of street smarts, right?

Novelera, I think we were supposed to think she is talking about B&B, because Bruno was there and he needed to sweat a little (and us, viewers, too). The close people she was refering to could be Mlle, Nina, even Yair...actually, everybody but Ariel knows about the fight, so... I don't think Flavia would want to drop the BB Bomb just for the fun of it, that information has to much value.

I, too, hope Ariel changes his attitude with Flavia; if he keeps up with the hospitable son-in-law routine, he is really stupid.

PASION PROHIBIDA THURSDAY
PART 1

Flavia tells Ariel that Yair punched Nina's friend the night of Bruno's engagement. Ariel is stunned, he asks Bruno if he knows anything about this, but Bruno (relieved that Flavia didn't share their secret), says he has no idea about the fight. Flavia goes on to say that everybody but him knows the truth, but they all listened to the french woman and kept it a secret.

After that Flavia goes to the kitchen; she knwos they all hate her and were happy when she left, but rest assured: if someone were to leave the house, it would be all of them, not her and Bianca.

Then Flavia asks Bianca (wearing royal blue again) about her talk with Ivan. But Bianca just gloats and doesn't confess that she knows about the prostitute; she only got mad because Ivan mentioned her father (which is so far from the truth, really).

Ariel comes home, he is furious; he asks to talk to Bianca alone in their room.
Once there, he demands to know what is going on with all the back and forth with Flavia, can they stop acting like children? Bianca makes up an excuse, Flavia threatened with suicide, to which Ariel says that Flavia is manipulating her (Bianca can see this very well, but can you?)Bianca promises that once Bruno gets married and leaves the house, her mother will leave, too (careful, Bianca, Ariel has no reason to believe the two actions are linked). Ariel gets upset again, because Flavia just got back to the house and already Bianca is talking about getting her out. He asks not to be involved in their problems ever again.

Then, he starts making the rounds about the fight.
He goes to Nina's room, she tells him they managed to control the situation, they didn't want to exaggerate things (but, of course they totally did, even if Ariel had no clue). She does tell Ariel why Yair punched Sebas.
Next stop, the kitchen. All the servants are there (except Yair); he reprimands Mlle for keeping this a secret; even if they managed to fix things, he should never be left in the dark when it comes to his daughter. And that goes for the rest of the staff, too.
Finally, with Yair, Ariel asks why the punch happened and when he understands that Yair was just trying to protect Nina from being kissed against her will (oh, Lord!), Ariel thanks him for being there for his daughter (as a father, I totally understand his point of view).

Back in the living room, Bianca is very restless, she doesn't know why Ariel is so upset; she is angry with her mother, she thinks this is all about her coming back to the house, but Flavia assures her it has nothing to do with that.

Bruno comes home and Flavia offers to pour him a drink. He welcomes her back, but she attacks, stating that she knows neither he, nor Bianca are happy that she is back, because with her gone, there would be no witnesses to whatever it is they are doing behind Ariel's back. Senora Flavia, defender of Ariel Piamonte's honour, warns them they won't make an imbecil out of Ariel as long as she has anything to say about it. Although we all know that she is not upset about the betrayal, but about the fact that she isn't in on it. Classic Flavia!

PASION PROHIBIDA THURSDAY
PART 2

Nina is in the kitchen. They all wonder how Ariel found out the truth, but once Katia comes in to ask about dinner, they realise it must have been her.

Flavia goes to the taller, wants to keep Ariel company. He is not happy to see her, he should just throw her out. She starts with the "I am your friend" routine, blames Mlle for taking on a role that is not hers, abusing the confidence she was given. Ariel defends Mlle, she is much more than a nanny, and Flavia can't really argue with that.
I don't want to forget this, so I am putting it here: Mlle sure has a lot of power in the house; that is normal, but shouldn't Bianca be more involved with the day to day necessities? Later on there is a scene when Mlle and Don Salo make the shopping list; Mlle is just the nanny, this should be Bianca's job, as the lady of the manor, right?

Anyway, back to Flavia, she tells Ariel that he should respect Bianca's place in the house more; like the car she has is to old, he bought a brand new car for Bruno, but what about his wife? Ariel thinks that if Bianca wants something, she can ask for it, but Flavia says Bianca is to shy to do that, she doesn't dare; so she, as her mother is taking care of things like these. I CAN NOT believe that Ariel is falling for this C**P.

Back in the living room, B&B are fighting. Bianca is worried about what her mother might say. Bruno is sure if Flavia knows about them, it is because of Bianca, she saw something in her daughter. But Bianca disagrees, she always behaved the way she was supposed to. No, that is not true, Bruno insists, you are only denying what you feel, as opposed to him who is more than embracing it, as far as I can see. He is getting closer, it looks like he is about to kiss her, but he doesn't. She mocks him, he is a coward, not a bold man (so, which is it Bianca, you don't want the kiss, but you call him a coward for desisting? Girl, you're losing your mind.)

Nina goes to Yair's room, closes the door behind her, so they can talk in private. She asks him point blank if he is in love with her. Nooo, of course not, he didn't act out of jealousy, it was his duty to defend her. So, brotherly love all around...suuuure.
Yair, you had your chance. Now go sit in your corner and whine.

Bianca is writing in her journal; she won't be happy if she allows "it" to remain close to her, always in control, are all the fears true? The phrasing doesn't allow us to know if she is writing about Bruno or Flavia (I have no idea, really). Ariel comes in, tells her about the fight. She remembers when her mother told her, but she doesn't admit that she knew. She realizes Katia was the gossip. Ariel wants to know if her secrets are also the talk of the entire house. Bianca thinks he is hinting at Bruno and she mentions his name. Ariel is surprised, what does Bruno have to do with anything? (oh, boy - careful, Bianca, this is the second time, soon you won't need to fear Flavia anymore) This is about Mlle and about you; are you happy, Bianca? Of course she is happy, if she had a problem she would talk about it; she has nothing against Mlle, Ariel needs to stop listening to Flavia, who is a sick person.

Bruno goes to the kitchen. He invites Yair to use his boxing bag instead of real people the next time he feels like punching someone, but Yair doesn't appreciate the joke. Regardless, Bruno is sad he wasn't there to witness that clown, Sebas, being punched in the face.

PASION PROHIBIDA THURSDAY
PART 3

Bianca goes to her mother's room. She is angry Flavia is telling her husband all kind of gossip. But no, Flavia is only looking out for Bianca's interest, she is trying to get Mlle thrown out of the house. She mentions Bruno again and that is when Bianca hits her hard: she knows about the prostitute Ivan had with him when Flavia went to his place; isn't it great how men consider even prostitutes more valuable then her? SNAP! For once Flavia is left speechless.

Yair is with Nina at school, everything is good between them, until Sebas shows up. He wants to know why Nina'a father summoned him to the office. To brake your face, maybe (just a guess)

Ariel is talking with Nico about Flavia; he appreciates what Nico told him, now he knows Flavia better; she is always gossiping, always inventing things about Bianca; they are miserable together, but they can't be apart, either. Nico, who has become quite the smarty pants, suggests that maybe there is something else keeping them so close.

Later Sebas comes to the office, Ariel wants to make sure that he will treat his daughter like a gentleman. Of course he will, he saw your house, now he knows where you work. You are loaded, so Sebas will play nice, I am sure of that.

Eliana (she still exists) and Bianca are at the gym, chatting. Bruno sees them, but doesn't reveal his presence. The women talk about Guilly, Eliana wants Bianca to know that nothing ever happened; she can't believe she is marrying Bruno, they had such a conflicting relationship, but they are in love; and she knows many women are jealous of her good luck. Eliana isn't hinting anything (my opinion) but Bianca takes this very personal.
Bruno calls Eliana, he says he is at school. Eliana needs to leave for a casting, so they won't meet.

Later Bianca meets Bruno in the gym, she thinks he is following her, but he denies that. They are kind of playing, flirting, throwing jabs at each other and it's delicious. Did she talk to Eliana because she wanted to find out something about him? Is she envious? No, Bianca feels pity for Eliana (riiiight).
She leaves for the sauna, naturally Bruno can't help but follow her.

Bianca is alone in the sauna when Bruno walks in; she is only wearing a towel (it would be so easy to get naked).
She asks him to leave, this is a women sauna, they could get in trouble. But, no, Bruno is only fulfilling with their destiny. No matter how much she lies about it, he knows how she feels. She calls him crazy, anybody could see them. He doesn't care, he is capable to confront anything for her (even Ariel? I doubt it); he tried to stop, he even proposed to Eliana, but to no avail.
As he talks, he caresses her cheek, then her hair, the place where the towel meets her skin on her chest, he tries to squeeze her hand, she kind of resists this, but not really. She reminds him about Flavia's threats, the fact that he is engaged and she is married, what more obstacles does he need for them to stop this (and this time she is not only talking about him, she kind of admits her part). But she can't reason with Bruno, he says that when something is meant to happen, the obstacles don't matter...
And closer he gets, and ...the end.

LA PATRONA:
Thanks Novelera for the recap. You were quick! A couple of interesting issues in this ep. With the Guerra-Ale fight we see that Fernando wasn't the only psychologically damaged son. That's one of the things that bothered me when Fer was basically drinking himself into oblivion-why doesn't the audience know anything about Ale's childhood? I thought it was very odd that we know so little about a galan who's key to the story. He and Fer seemingly did not have the same awful experience with Guerra and I wondered how that was possible. In this ep, we get proof that young Ale was equally traumatized by his Mom.

David deciding not to own Gaby-the killer-or Fer-the rapist-as his past, but Tigre, whom he 's sure was honorable, for his own sanity. Also Gaby getting to hug David even though he did reciprocate and David smiling remembering when he was poor but happy.

EL SECRETARIO - March 22, 2013 - Episode #117 pt. 1:

Mario and Paula meet at restaurant with the new client for drinks. Mario excuses himself to go to the bathroom. Client starts to talk with Paula when she receives a call on her cell. It’s Mario, he’s making up a story of her sister just being taking to the hospital, it’s serious. Paula plays up her reactions to the call for dramatic effect. She hangs up and gets sympathy from the client.

Felix plays up the guilt trip with Toni. Toni seems to really be falling for it. She sympathizes and supports him. She mentions work and Felix starts to increase the drama, he has a sixth sense that something bad is going to happen to the business. Felix then asks her to stay with him - she assures him she will be right by his side.

Mario returns to find Paula in tears and scolds the client for doing or saying something to hurt her. Client defends himself and says Paula got a phone call about her sister. Mario says Paula’s sister is her twin sister - they are the only family each other has. Mario and Paula leave quickly.

Emilio and Frank talk with Lorena and Dona Trudy at home. Em and Frank excuses themselves to talk in private - in the hallway, they whisper about Olga and the secret Frank shared with Emilio.

Felix tells Toni that the accident brought them closer together. He slips up and says her nickname “Toni”. She is very happy - obviously, he does remember her. He covers up and asks to go to work tomorrow. He claims it may be good therapy to help him remember. As Felix leans towards her, Toni gets an idea -- FOOD! She runs downstairs to find Rosita to prepare something for him to eat. When alone, Felix cackles to himself, “I’m as good, if not better than, a telenovela villain.”

Mario drives his VW bug in the rain, and talks with Paula about interrupting the business meeting. Mario has second thoughts about doing business with the client. Paula thinks about Felix. Mario is worried about his brother and thinks about going to hospital to see him. Paula informs him that he was released and is now at Toni’s house.

EL SECRETARIO - March 22, 2013 - Episode #117 pt. 2:
Toni brings Rosita up to the bedroom. Rosita is kneeling by the wheelchair in tears - so happy to see Senor Felix again. Felix fakes amnesia and doesn’t remember her at all. Mario bangs on the front door. Toni goes to answer it. Mario charges inside and upstairs, with Paula and Toni following. Mario hugs his brother so hard, Felix screams in pain. Toni pulls Mario away and downstairs - she tells him to calm down; Felix isn’t well, in fact it is much worse than they thought. Mario is totally in a panic - he reveals to Toni that he and Felix aren’t half-brothers at all, in fact, they are TWINS - SEPARATED AT BIRTH! (Dun-duh-dun-dun, La Ursurpadora/QuienEresTu?, anyone). Toni slaps him and tells him to be serious and calm down.

Paula stares at Felix. Felix fakes trying to remember her name. Paula doesn’t really believe he can’t remember anything. Felix stutters as Paula leans closer and closer to him. He gets very uncomfortable as her face in right there in front of his. She starts to seduce him.

As Frank and Emilio talk, Frank has a flashback to when Dona Trudy blurted out the secret to Emilio. They agree, Emilio should be the one to do something.

Toni and Mario return to the bedroom and break up Paula and Felix. Toni needs to get Felix to bed and give him his therapeutic massage - tomorrow Felix has to go to his doctor’s appointment. Mario tells Felix he has some bad news about the company; then tries to hug his brother again. Felix screams in pain. Toni pushes the wheelchair to another part of the room.

Mario and Paula are downstairs in a library. They both suspect Felix is faking his injuries - just can’t figure out his grand motivation. (They toast with water).

Toni is giving Felix a massage in the bed. A knock at the door interrupts the session. Toni goes to answer it. It’s Emilio - he needs to tell her something; it’s very important and urgent. Toni tells him to keep it down, Felix is there. Emilio is shocked, but still needs to talk with her. Felix wheels himself towards the door and asks, Who is it? Want some coffee? Who is it? Emilio is stunned and confused.

Pasión Prohibida -

thank you so much AdrianaNoel for the summary!
love reading your comments,

it wasn't until the second Nicolas/Ariel chat that I realized that they are brother-in-laws, duh!

I truly appreciate Bianca's effort to keep Ariel out of the grasp of Flavia by marrying him, his marriage to Flavia would have been by far his worst nightmare, ever, worse ever than maybe what's to come...

does Bruno even go to school any more, I was thinking maybe they were on break or something, and compared to someone like Nicolas, Bruno is not looking like a good choice for taking over the company when Ariel retires, and this thing he is doing with the little lies to Eliana and others, his character seems to be on a downhill slide.

Pasión Prohibida -

also,
loved it when the staff called Katia, "vibora menor"

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks, Jody, wonderful recap, one of your best. Can you believe Harvey as a 6'5" woman?!

Agua Mala found plane tickets in the names of Harvey and Mireya only, shows this to Cande and Dixon, confirming that Harvey had betrayed them.

Sofia told her Dad not that she and Marcos saw him with Flora (he knows this), but that Marcos was spying on Flora, and may have been killed as retribution. Vicente was shocked by how sordid this whole thing has gotten.

Cande told his Mom that HE killed Harvey, to stop Harvey from killing Dixon. Remember, he doesn't want anyone to know that Dixon actually did it.

I'm not sure what city Celina's in (but it's cold).

I sort of thought Harvey wanted Blatcho to do more to Belen and Flora then just keep them in the house (like kill them or kidnap them), but I could be wrong. I know Blatcho kept asking where Flora was (she happened to be at Vicente's at that point) and Belen wouldn't tell him.

Cande told Flora (on the phone) that Blatcho has disappeared, and may want to kill Flora, Belen and Cande. So Flora wants to go to the police for protection for her, Belen and Dixon from Blatcho and from Shadow. Cande of course can't benefit from this, and still wants to get the Santa Helena to give to Shadow. He's asked Agua Mala to locate the Santa Helena with his computer, but that won't be easy.

Perez is already a cop (well, a prison guard), so he didn't have to disguise much. He set it up so woman Harvey would get arrested and put in the same jail as Mireya. Blatcho and Harvey paid him $1000 for this. Harvey tells Mireya he's going to get her out of there. When he says Cande betrayed her, she says "are you sure?", but I think she believes him.

What I'm REALLY hoping (and this could happen) is that Flora starts working for Vicente to trick all the bad guys, making them think she's on THEIR side. Let's hope!

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Whoops, I just noticed Jody, you said the avances already said Vicente joins with Flora and Cande. But as we know, avances can be misleading!

La Patrona -

thanks so much novelera for the recap !!!
such a treat for me to see that you have posted one,

interesting that Veronica caught Lucho spying on her, she really is wise to the security camera thing from the manicomio, and has pretty heightened senses all around,

really love the boy playing Julio's son, hidden away in the corner, but having fun, while these horrible novela ladies are screaming at each other.

Alejandro testing the waters, and Gabriela choking back her turmoil, fascinating to watch their slow mating dances,

was the lawyer making a play for Valentina, gasp!

Francisca and Gaston, like a couple of teenagers, and the kiss... wow!

did I hear Gertrudis call Veronica, patrona?

I'm glad that Natalia, Valentina's grandmother is not forgotten, I loved the way she blessed Max and Valentina,

hmm, I thought after the funeral, Patti broke out the lipstick again,

I'm looking for David, to someday end his eternal wobble, turn on his good face, and maybe save the day, even now, and with his constant conflicts with his former best friends, he shields Max and Valentina from Antonia.

and it so nice that Tigre is still remembered, such a great character!

LA PATRONA:

Thanks for the recap, Novelera. I must admit, Alejandro (or the actor) is very, very suave and handsome. He may screw up trials, business dealings, secrets, etc., but in the love department, it'd be hard for any woman to resist, even Veronica! Sparks were really flying, I thought, despite the fact he said she was like ice.

And I also felt the heat from Gaston and Francisca. They're definitely meant for each, despite their declarations of just being friends.

Irene was funny, saying she was the only faithful one. When Pati reminded her of how she broke up Alejandro and Gabriela for her own selfish purposes by using the pregnancy card, Irene said but that's different, since Gaby was a lowlife, not like classy me. Pati then sarcastically said "Oh, you're totally correct. Miss perfect Irenita". Hah!

La Patrona -

haha Hombre!
was it Santa Irenita, that Patti called her?
and Irene does the clueless look so well,

if only Alejandro and her were ever clueless about the same thing,
and they both did their clueless looks together,
they would look like the perfect couple.

hmm, I wonder where there daughter is?

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- jueves

Jody -- thanks so much for the great recap. Hombre, I appreciate the added details in your comment.

My two cents --
Harvey told Blancho that before he killed Cande, he wanted to make him suffer, hit him where it hurts. That's why Blancho was sent to kill Belén and Flora. He also wanted the bodies found, not cut up and fed to the sharks (like Susana's was). That's why he told Blancho to kill them in their living room. He was also supposed to leave a note so that Cande would know Harvey is still alive.

Jody, I loved your reference to "Lady Harvey."

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

aaaahh... another much appreciated recap, AdrianaNoel.

It didn't feel like mockery to me when Bianca said "the gutless Bruno was better than the audacious one." I thought she was more relieved, otherwise, she probably wouldn't be able to resist.

This surely was a 'steamy' episode. I did not see that coming. I thought maybe the writers would cool off with the Bruno character for a bit. I was pleasantly surprised.

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks Hombre and NovelaMaven for all the corrections and added details from last night. Harvey wanted Blatchko to kill or hurt Belen and Flora? Whoa! That must be why, when he found Belen alone, he was pestering her with the gun.

Yes, Hombre, I know. Never believe the advances - they always come up with a surprise plot twist that we never suspected would happen.

LA PATRONA

Just a comment about serendipity. During my Spanish class Wed evening, one of my classmates discussed an art exhibit in San Francisco she'd seen with major pieces of Dutch art. She said (in Spanish, of course) that some were on loan from a museum in La Haya, The Hague. I had never heard that city named in Spanish before and had no idea it would be that.

And then one day later Gastón used it as a destination for his accusation against the indigenous genocide in SPDO, probably for the UN's International Court of Justice, located in The Hague.
