TELEMUNDO Y MAS - Week of March 25
PART 1
B&B are at the sauna, Bianca warns Bruno it is the last time she is telling him to back off, or else she will tell Ariel; nothing will ever happen between them. She leaves, but she can barely hold it together, gets into another room; he is destroyed, gets out of the sauna and meets some girl, Renata (later we find out they used to go out); he istantly starts to flirt with her, gives her a kiss (Bianca is in the other room, hears everything). Later, back in the gym, they decide to go to her place together; Renata observes that nobody can ever say no to Bruno - but his face says otherwise. One thing can be said about Bruno, he can rebound very quickly..or so it appears right now.
Flavia and Penelope are at the pool drinking martinis when Bianca arrives; she takes her mother's drink, she obviously needs it; Flavia starts with her usual routine about Bianca and Ariel and Mademoiselle. Penelope asks her to let go of her intrigue, but why would that stop Flavia from spewing her venom?
Later on, Nico calls Penelope to let her know he won a big contract for the company, they will go celebrate at night. Flavia doesn't waste this opportunity to tell Penelope that Nico should be made an associate, now that he has become such an asset for the company - glad to see her "wisdom" can be directed at Penelope, too. I don't know how these poor girls ended up so good with a mother like this. As much as Penelope and Bianca protest, Flavia is only watching over their future and their patrimony. (LOOOL)
Nina is talking with Paula, she tells her she was wrong, she confronted Yair and he is not in love with her. Sebas texts her that he will keep in touch, but then we see him alone: with a father like hers, he wants nothing to do with her anymore. (Really, that is the end of Sebas? He got scared because of Ariel, who is the most normal in the family? Good thing he never met Flavia then).
Ariel arrives home, he wants to talk to Mlle in private. Bianca finds out, and fueled by Flavia's venom, asks to be present for the talk. But Ariel doesn't want her there. He and Mlle talk about the ways that Flavia made Mlle feel bad; he wants to know the truth. But Mlle doesn't admit any kind of big problems, just small issues that have to do with everyday living more than anything else. Ariel insists a bit, but eventually gives up; he does remind Mlle how important she is for the family. How this man never managed to look at this very pretty, age appropriate woman in a romantic way, is really a mistery. I know he is a stand up guy, but Bianca could be his daughter, he should have known better.
Bruno is back at Renata's place, she is wearing some sexy linjerie. Eliana calls and Bruno lies that he is at school. Then he starts kissing Renata, but soon stops; he can't do this, and he is even more surprised than her. Renata is upset, asks if he is love; yes, more then ever, Bruno says and leaves.
Nina and Santi arrive home, Mlle asks them to take care of their homework alone, she is not feeling to well, she is melancholic or something (oh, boy, the high class illnesses)
PART 2
Back in their bedroom, Bianca is very uspet with Ariel for not allowing her to be there for his talk with Mlle. What could they possible have to talk in private? He needs to give her the place she deserves in the house, she is his wife. Ariel is not willing to admit any kind of guilt, he says that Bianca has the place she gives herself. SNAP
Nina hears the fight and calls Mlle to talk about it. She thinks this has something to do with Flavia, every day she realizes that woman is not her good friend (really?) Mlle asks her to stop listening to other people's talks and do her homework.
Bruno is in his car; he remembers when he almost kissed Bianca while she was sleeping on the couch, after treating his cold, when he told her he would give up the wedding in she asked him to, when she was by the pool, sunbathing, the kiss... He arrives at the dock, some guy asks for his help with some heavy buckets. He;s seen him around before, he invites him to stick around, they will eat some fish later on.
Ariel, Flavia, Nico and Penelope are out, celebrating the contract (Bianca is home, probably still mad with Ariel). Flavia almost gives Nico an associate position at Ariel's company...because she is Flavia and she is abnoxious. I wanted to slap Ariel for not shutting her up. Really, dude, do something about this harpy.
Eliana calls to ask about Bruno, he is nowhere to be found. But Ariel doesn't know either, they all think it is one of Bruno's usual nights out.
But Bruno is on the dock, drunk as a skunk, talking about his imposible love, the first woman he met and he will never have. He got drunk with beer, but then changes to tequila and you know this will not end well for him. He says he always thought women are like flowers from a garden and he likes variety, but now he is in love with the flower that he can't even smell.(nice metaphor, there, coming from a drunk)
Later on he starts to sing (and singer JC CANELA plays a very good never sang a day in his life drunk). The guy he is drinking with notices the woman he is pining for really got to him, he needs to eradicate that feeling or it will eat him alive.
Ariel and Bianca are asleep, in their bed, when Ariel's phone rings. It is the guy that spend the night with Bruno, he calls to let Ariel know that Bruno is passed out drunk, someone needs to come for him. Ariel and Yair go to the dock, the entire house wakes up and starts to speculate about the reason Ariel left in such a hurry.
Bianca calls Eliana to let her know Bruno ended up drunk on the dock, but Eliana thinks this is about another woman; Bruno has been acting strange and distant and she's had it with him. Maybe she should ask Bianca for some details, I am sure she might be able to help. :))
Ariel and Yair manage to put a mumbling Bruno in the car. The guy that called tells Ariel Bruno got drunk because he is lovesick, but Ariel has no clue about any of this. In the car, Bruno keeps talking about his imposible love, without saying any names, though.
At the house, Yair and Don Salo carry Bruno to his bed. Celeste gives him something to drink for the hangover and they all leave, except for Ariel and Bianca.
Bruno, totally wasted, calls for Bianca. She tries to make him shut up as he goes on and on about his imposible love, the women he will never have. Bianca is in a panic, afraid he will say to much, she suggests that maybe he had a fight with Eliana (heh) and now he needs to sleep. But, noooo, Bruno needs no sleep, he needs to scream that he is in love with "her". Ariel wants to hear what Bruno has to say, who is the woman he loves. Bianca looks like she is about to faint, too.
What is it with characters who are totally in love with someone, and then at the very first sign of some betrayal, do a complete 180, and refuse to listen to explanations or believe them? I'm speaking of Valentina, of course. She already has at least some suspicions that Antonia is sneaky, but refuses to believe Antonia could have trapped Max? I thought she KNEW Max. He's certainly not the kind of young guy who would EVER go for Antonia!
Ironically, when Cecilia begs her not to go on the trip because David would go, and Cecilia loves David, Val agrees. It's also funny they keep saying Val is such an elegant, refined, beautiful princess, when she's attractive, but to me, Cecilia is prettier. Not that any of this matters, of course.
I was watching the opera Otello on PBS, and it's the same thing. The woman he's been married to for years, always beautiful, nice, reliable, loving and kind, is accused by Otello's evil second in command of having an affair with Cassio, a young captain. Despite Desdemona's protests that she never sinned, doesn't love Cassio, and has always been faithful, Otello chooses NOT to believe her, believing instead some flimsy evidence from the evil guy's plot.
Ah, operas and soap operas!
Hombre, I agree that in TNs (and literature for centuries) characters frequently become irrational with jealousy over a perceived betrayal and refuse to listen to reason just the way Valentina is behaving with Max. It's one of those plot devices that can go either way. In Val's case, considering this is a TN, I think she is only 17 and very insecure about her looks and sexuality. Hopefully she will eventually see what Antonia did and apologize to Max who will of course forgive her. Otello was one very jealous guy, much older than our Val and he should have known better. But if he had been more forgiving, we wouldn't have this great masterpiece.
I also agree that Val is not so classically pretty as Cecilia who I think is beautiful. Val is cute and attractive, but doesn't have the slim, pretty looks that Cecilia does.
Now, I wonder, does/did Lucho have to put Grandma back in the ground? That's a lot of shoveling. The poor guy is going to be exhausted.
Did we ever see where the radio station is and how accessible it is? Gaston is once again pushing the lobos very hard, and while I don't think Lagarto will raid it, someone might try to get at him or follow him (for that auto accident). Maybe Vero has guards posted to protect Gaston.
Antonia was so smug and pleased with herself after messing with Val's head - what a beyotch!
Beth
AdrianaNoel - I look forward to your recaps everyday, and once again you delivered. Thanks!!
ay Dios mioooo!!! so it is L-O-V-E!! Due to the title of the show, I didn't want to presume, til he said it. Elated he didn't end up in bed with Renata, so he really must be in love. Oh but Jencarlos played the tormented, drunk one really well. Santi even thought he was funny in that state. Singing Cielito Lindo, and just pointing to his tears, and not mouthing the lyric "llores" was too darling for words.
thanks so much AdrianaNoel, for your wonderful summary!
did Bruno pick up on Renata to see if he still had it, that he could have ANY girl that he wants, is the only girl he CAN'T have, Bianca, causing him to doubt himself, poor, poor Eliana,
and why aren't we watching the usual nasty novela, where someone poisons Flavia's drink,
I think Ariel is getting very frustrated with these young people and their games, and when he seeks out the only other adult, Mademoiselle, he really doesn't need Bianca poking her fingers into the pie, but he sure did insult her by sending her to her room, maybe he will get a page or two in her diary,
I too was impressed at how horrible Jencarlos Canela can sing when he wants to, ha! The bar on the canal and those people that were there, really reminded me about all of the little things I really like Florida for.
did they really have to wake up the whole house in order to rescue Bruno,
and call Eliana as well?
probably a good thing the gossip magazine people have all disappeared,
so tell us Bruno, who IS your "impossible love"?
Bianca's boat is starting to leak so bad she's running out of fingers to plug all of the holes.
Excellent comments, Hombre and Beth. I also was confounded by Valentina's immediate rejection of Max's explanations.
Need to get moving, as my son and daughter-in-law are planning a day in San Francisco to celebrate her birthday. I'm meeting them there, and we're going to an interesting restaurant called Butterfly on the Embarcadero. Parking will be a nightmare, but family is family, right?
Shallowgal and Deb, I am glad you enjoy my recaps :) Thank you for giving me a reason to write them every day.
When Bruno first started flirting with Renata, I thought he was doing it only because he knew Bianca was close by; but then I realized he really wanted to be with that girl, as a sort of a cleansing procedure after Bianca, to prove himself that he still had it even if one woman had said no. But, oh, the smell of the forbidden flower is all he needs right now. :)
Maybe Bianca tried to keep him away, but all she managed was to turn his lust/ passion/ infatuation in full blown LOVE.
I wish someone would throw Flavia to the wolves, she is just to much, she spreads her words of wisdom left and right and the only one that I think could at least calm her a little, Ariel, is going overboard with "el cavalerismo". How far does Flavia have to go for Ariel to finally shut her up?
That is why I am not that sorry for Ariel being trapped in childish games; he wanted a younger, inexperienced wife and he is allowing her mother to act like she is the lady of the manor, without intervening in any way; let's say that before he didn't know, but now he is well aware of the way Flavia treats everybody in the house, so he should do something about it.
I think Bianca called Celeste because they had the interphone. When someone calls you in the middle of the night with news like that, it is easy for things to get crazy. And this being a TN, they had to go a little overboard, with the servanst being included and speculating.
How fun was it to see Bruno drunk, telling everybody that he is ok and going on and on about his imposible love. The wording was so good, when he said Bianca's name, it looked like he could have said anyone's name just the same, but only he and she knew the true meaning of his call.I though Bianca was going to die, trying to shut him up and act as normal as possible. But her boat of denial is really sinking (loved your comparison, Deb!)
I am sure Bruno won't say anything compromising, where would the fun be then? He will come up with some kidn of an excuse when he is sober, some will believe it, some will be left wondering.
The only one who really knows the truth is Bianca, and not a moment to soon; maybe now she will realize that he is really in love with her and give the guy a chance - I can't believe I am saying this, since she is married, but if we think about this little detail, we take all the fun out of watching.
Hombre and Beth ditto with your comments about Val's behavior. She is young and immature and has been sheltered but she should know Max and for that matter Antonia better. It is an obvious plot device and God help us I hope she isn't stupid enough to take up with David the Dolt. He is the most irritating character around. I guess we are supposed to feel sorry for him but he was brat as a kid and he isn't improving with age.
Decie Girl
thanks all, for your comments on la patrona!
the red light on my dusty novela crystal ball keeps flashing, seems like Valentina should be pregnant, she slept once with Max which is probably 100x more than is needed in a novela, so I'm wondering if we will have a mini Alejandro/Gabriela breakup story or maybe a mini Ricardo/Patti story as David marries her to protect the identity of the baby, you never know, but it seems like Antonia now has control of Valentina's inheritance and it would be in her best interest to arrange a little accident before Valentina's 18th birthday, isn't that how Veronica sees it, in sending a reluctant Max back to protect her.
Gastón's radio station doesn't really click for me, since he IS Veronica's right hand man, and there is no one else there, and everyone has their radios dialed in to hear each broadcast he makes.
I do love him and Francisca keeping an eye on each other, did she say she wasn't alone, she had her altars and saints, and the place next to her in bed where Tigre slept, now cold, and didn't Gastón say, well he has nothing, and then they kissed,
or am I making this up, ha!
thanks novelera about the heads up on the Hague, I'm actually having a hard time following this storyline since we weren't really apart of it, were we?
[btw novelera, a recent pic in Aracely Arámbula's twitter,

shows her with a Mate, which you and Llanero helped me with in Flor Salvaje]

so the El Chamuca mine is falling apart since Alberto left, did they say the miners were stealing the gold, and the perfect solution would be to bring over Alejandro, but...
so Irene is going to try to get some inheritance from her mother, just to spite her dad and his lover, with Alejandro's help, and advice from Antonia (this should help, ha!), and legal advice from Ricardo and Patti,
so Lucho is drinking with Ramon at the doll house, isn't he a wanted man, and isn't this where the guys that want him hang out, oh well, so they strike a deal,
so Max goes to Alejandro for help with Valentina, without telling him the whole story...
and our condescending never-gets-the-girl-galan seems to be driving Max away more each day,
when this could be his best friend and ally.
a foto series of the cast can be seen here,

including a pic of Carmen Villalobos with her new 'Bianca' style haircut
btw her character,
"Leonor Ballesteros is a cold woman, straightforward, an agent of the Colombian intelligence service that is not afraid of anything".
I think Gaby wants Ale at Chamuco-she hinted when she took Espino away that Guerra should put Ale in charge there since 'it's all in the family.' GabyVero knows if Ale is at Chamuco he's gonna ask questions and since he's an economist, he'll recognize financial shenanigans. From the private detective report GabyVero knew he had no involvement in Chamuco.
Now that Guerra knows that Ale can't hate her I think she feels she can guilt him into reforming Chamuco without asking too many questions. He's definitely going to ask questions, though, since they lied to him for ten years about their interests in it and because Max told him Villegas took it from los Suarez.
I also think it's funny that Ricardo, Patti and Alejandro know about the Ale/Patti affair, but Irene does not and she thinks Ale has been faithful to her. I think it's fuuny because she knows all she and Ale have in common is sex and finding out he got sex from somewhere else will destroy her ego. I think Ricardo thinks it's funny if you saw that he and Patti kept her waiting and he just looked at Irene as if he knew an inside joke. I remember when Ale announced his engagement to Ricardo, he said I don't know whether to congratulate you or give you my condolences.
AdrianaNoel - you are so right; Bianca keeping Bruno at bay only fueled the fire further. I am so enjoying it.
deb - love your curt summations, that still manage to say a whole lot.
I'm thinking Bruno will pass out first before he manages to say any more to incriminate them both.
love your comments as well shallowgal,

Hombre, NovelaMaven, M.I.C will be pre-empted Tuesday night for the Mexico-USA futbol game. Not sure how Team USA will do. They won their game against Costa Rica with help from Mother Nature.

Jody, thanks for the scheduling heads-up. I don't mind stretching out the week (???) that is left of this one. This is one of the very few times that I have been sorry to see a novela coming to an end. Usually, I'm done with IT long before it is done with ME.
Aliva keeps torturing Rafa with her words, she confesses to her that being in a relationship with a detective helped to know what tracks police are seeking to catch a killer. To distract dMart, Rafa is forced to call him and say she is kidnapped and that Nat is going to kill her.
The situation gets complicated, since Tom discovers that Nat was out the night before. His suspicions take him to her, since Francisca also remembered her as the woman who came with Tanya.
Later, Nat arrives in her apt and finds Aliva waiting for her. The nurse tells her that she will soon be jailed since Tom already suspects her. Then, Aliva grabs a syringe and Nat grabs a knife in self defense. dMart arrives immediately and Aliva screams that Nat is attacking her. Nat slices her a few times, and finally, Aliva injects herself with a substance that knocks her out. (Police should check for fingerprints!)
dMart breaks through the door and finds Nat with the blood-red knife in her hand, and Aliva unconscious. Tom arrives and arrests Nat, despite her pleas and claims that Aliva is the real killer.
At the police station, Tom asks Aliva why she lied about her encounter with Rafa on Dianas wedding day. Aliva says she lied to protect her from Nat, nevertheless, according to her Nat already killed her.
In prison, Alex visits his ex-wife and best friend. She tells him what happened to Aliva, as she injected herself and provoked her into stabbing her.....
Here we go again! Things are building to a climax. Whether it'll be wonderful or tragic, we don't yet know. We begin with “Lady” Harvey and Mireya. They and Perez meet with that social worker, and Blatcho, cleverly disguised as another social worker. A few seconds into the meet, Blatcho sprays something in the lady social worker's face, and she's out like a light. Mireya switches clothes with her. Perez says how will I explain this? Blatcho head butts him, knocks HIM out, that's how. So Harvey, Mireya and Blatcho calmly walk right out of the jail!
They call Shadow, who gives them three days to get the Santa Helena. Fine, says Harvey, but we're in Bogota, and the Santa Helena's in Cartagena. And we have no money. Can you help us? Shadow at first says no way, but when Harvey points out that if he helps a little, he has WAY more chance of getting the Santa Helena back, he agrees to help a little. They then disguise themselves as follows: Harvey is like a priest/faith healer, with a long purple robe. Mireya's a nun. Blatcho plays a cripple. In front of a big church, Harvey gathers the crowd, he's going to try to cure the cripple if they all have faith. Everyone in the church goes to watch. Mireya goes inside, starts cleaning the case of a gold treasure. She tells the two kids who were guarding it that she'll handle it. No, they say, we've been ordered to stay. Fine, she says, pulls a gun, and makes the kids kneel down and pray. She smashes the case, takes the treasure. Outside, Harvey works his magic, and Blatcho rises up. He can walk! The crowd is ecstatic. Mireya comes out with the treasure in a garbage bag, the three of them calmly leave, and then the kids come out, the treasure's been stolen! Later Harvey exchanges the treasure for a suitcase of money. We going back to Cartagena, kids, and we're going to kill Flora, Dixon and Belen!
Celina is back in town. The champeta tour was cancelled. She's upset that Watusi never showed up. Of course he was saving Belen's life, but that doesn't impress Celina too much. One strange thing is that the reason the tour was cancelled was that Harvey's club, the Basurto, was the sponsor, and it seems to be closed. Watu later tells Flora about this, and she wants to help. She meets with the Champeta organizer, and says if his group agrees to be the sponsor, she'll guarantee the whole neighborhood will come out. Watu is going to help get all the people to show up for the show. Flora is very grateful to Watu. Watu knows Flora doesn't love him, but he's going to continue to help her anyway.
The Shadow also gives Cande and Agua Mala three days to get the Santa Helena. And he has Dixon as his prisoner. Shadow tells Dixon that Harvey's alive, but Cande and Agua Mala don't know this. Shadow says if they get the Santa Helena, Dixon will be freed.
Vicente then starts with HIS plan. For a while, I'm thinking he really loves Flora, but it quickly becomes clear that he's setting her up. Just before she can turn herself in to the police, Vicente and Imanol meet her at the station, we have to talk. Vicente tells Flora he forgives her, and he wants to help her and her family. He loves her. He can provide protection to end the nightmare. But she has to get Candelario to help with the plan, too. Flora's hesitant, but Vicente's sweet words sway her. She then visits Cande with Vicente. Cande is even MORE suspicious. But Vicente sweet talks him, too. He's going to provide help and codes for Cande to steal the Santa Helena from the bank, and then when they deliver it to the Shadow, Shadow will be stopped, and Vicente and the police will provide protection to Flora, Cande and Belen. The only thing is, we realize this is only half true. Yes, they want to stop Shadow. But Flora and Cande are going to jail (they don't know this).
Agua Mala doesn't trust Vicente either, but what choice do they have? They have no other way to get the Santa Helena. So here we go. Cande gets a job as a security guard in the bank, with bullet proof vest, and even a gun. Imanol provided a false identity, so this works. He's in the basement where the treasure is. Agua Mala is disguised as a hot dog vendor. But inside his truck, he's got his computer, with video and audio of Cande. He enters a code to disable the bank's security systems for 5 minutes. The normal bank guards get static on their screen. But Vicente, Imanol, Silvie and Sofi(!) can watch the whole thing. Vicente assures Sofi that Flora is going to jail. She's happy. He looks a bit conflicted, but so far, that's what's happening. Cande enters the codes, takes the Santa Helena, helped along by Agua Mala's video and directions, and escapes through an air duct. He has the Santa Helena! He calls Shadow, I've got it. Let's meet. But Dixon had better be okay.
Little do Cande and Flora know that Vicente has double crossed them. Flora keeps telling Vicente she's so grateful, he's the best man ever, helping her family, helping her, after what she did. For now, Vicente is pretending he really loves Flora, but is it all really pretending? Soccer tomorrow, so we'll have to wait til Wednesday to see which is stronger. Love, or justice?
Max tries to get Alejandro to help him out with Val, especially to prevent her going to Europe with David but, unfortunately, doesn’t tell him about Antonia’s earring trick. And Gaby forbade him from telling about the poisoned granny. Later on David tells Max he’s not going to Europe after all.
Ale meets with the lobos: Julio, Guerra and Anibal. They want him to run El Chamuco and finally admit they are part of a “consortium” of owners.
Alberto responds to Vero’s questions about El Chamuco. He tells her the lobos robbed the mine from the Suarez family with a lot of tricks, including contesting a will. There was an ignorant woman named Lucía [Gabriela’s mother!] who was related to the first husband of Antonia Guerra, Marcos Beltran. Antonia used that Beltran name to say the land was hers instead of belonging to the Suarez family. Alberto tries to put a move on her, but is almost knocked off the sofa by Lucho in his burka. She tells him their relationship will only be employer and employee.
Alejandro comes to see Francisca and asks her if the land where El Chamuco is located belonged to El Tigre. Francisca tells him he’d keep his mouth shut also if he knew that El Tigre and Gabriela died for that mine.
Guerra is fed up with Gertrudis and her demands for money. She threatens her, but La Tuerta says she’s got copies of the incriminating checks in a safe place should anything happen to her. Guerra pays up.
Lucho tells Vero about Ramón knowing all the lobos’ secrets; and she tells him to get that information.
Vero tells Gertrudis she will be director general of the hospital. She is to go to DF and hire all the doctors, nurses, administrators, etc.
Ale asks Ricardo what he knows about the lands where El Chamuco is located, after Ricardo first tries to blow him off. Ricardo says he’ll look into it, not for Ale, but because it’s the right thing to do.
We get an excellent scene between Guerra and Macario. She asks him to kill Gertrudis, and he refuses. He says he’ll find someone else for her, but he’s out of the murder business. She reminds him he hasn’t lost fingers or eyes – yet. He also says he knows lots; but she tells him he can never retire from working for her.
Ale, still on a mission, finds out from Gastón about the will in which Lucía’s father left the land where the mine is to her. And El Tigre would have inherited it from his wife. He was on his way to D.F. to register the mine when he disappeared. And the will disappeared as well.
Antonia catches David and Cecilia half dressed in her bedroom. David starts out defiant but it doesn’t last long. Guerra insists on throwing her out immediately. When Poncia says she’ll leave as well, Guerra tells her about the evidence of a crime she has in her safe.
Valentina gets in Guerra’s face about Cecilia. David just stands there. Max chews David out for letting this happen to Cecilia. Then Valentina chews him also. He says he’s not going to marry a servant just because he was found in her bed. Plus he didn’t even get to do the deed. What a rotten brat!
Max says, in front of Valentina, that Cecilia is going to live with his mother, and she’ll be fine. David watches Max put Cecilia in the car. He has a flashback to when El Tigre made he and Max, when they were little, swear to always defend the women they loved.
Alejandro finds Lucía with a fever again. He tells Irene, who doesn’t want to hear it. She says he’s a worrywart, and is more interested in telling the gossip about Cecilia.
Vero comes to see Francisca and finds Cecilia there.
Thanks, Novelera, for the super quick recap. There was so much happening in this ep and you caught it!
Ale was highly suspicious after meeting with the lobos and hearing about ignorant Lucia Beltran and the El Chamuco investment group/land grab. To his credit, he immediately went on a fact finding mission and alerted Ricardo about the possible theft. I think he didn't believe the lobos and wants confirmation that they're lying.
Poor Max was so conflicted when talking with Ale about protecting Val. He was caught by the two patronas. He didn't dare say anything about the earring incident or Antonia killing Granny. So Ale just blew him off as being jealous of David.
But Max showed he is a man with principles when he was the one to rescue Cecilia after Antonia threw her out.
The lobos dinner table conversation about offing Gert was so transparent. 'Trucks that can carry heavy bodies, Macario moving the cargo' - I was surprised no one else at the table asked what the heck they were talking about. The lobos still arrogantly think they're so far above the law that they're invincible.
Lucho is one of my favorite characters. He was absolutely hilarious in his burka ramming into Alberto when Alberto tried to make a move on Vero. And the WTF look on Alberto's face was priceless.
And Lucho at the doll house dodging Julio and Lagarto - too funny!
Irene continues to make my blood boil. Her neglect of little Lucia is despicable. Thank God, Ale is a loving, concerned father. But it's looking more and more like Lucia's illness will be Ale's punishment.
And I wanted to smack that smug superior look off Irene's face when Cecilia was being called a slut and thrown out. Irene has all of Prude's worst traits. I so enjoyed Ale telling Irene he was going to sleep elsewhere.

PART 1
Ariel wants to know who is Bruno's impossible love; Bianca tries to get him out of the room, insisting that Bruno is to drunk to be takes seriously, they need to ask him in the morning, when he will be sober. Ariel points out that the drunk always say the truth, but, finally, they leave. Nina gets out of her bedroom and goes to see Bruno, too (go to bed, little girl!)
He keeps mumbling that he wants tequila, he calls for Bianca a few times, Nina insists that she is Nina, not Bianca (duh!),she thinks he is so drunk he is talking nonsense; she tucks him in and leaves.
In their room, Ariel is still intrigued by the fisherman's words about Bruno's impossible love; it can't be Eliana, because they are engaged; and he never thought Bruno would be so in love. Bianca tries to minimize the situation, by saying that Bruno has always been an womanizer, now that he found a woman that stand up to him, he must find it difficult. She is supposedly talking about Eliana, but she is all giddy because she knows she is the one that made Bruno crazy drunk.
The next morning Eliana comes to visit her fiance. Ariel, Santi, Nina and Bianca are in his room as he is trying to get up. He calls for Bianca again, then he apologizes for last night, wants to know if he did something bad. Ariel mentions his impossible love, just in time for Eliana to barge in, angry; she gives Bruno the engagement ring back and leaves. Is this the perfect alibi for Bruno's night of drunkness?
No, Ariel realizes it had nothing to do with Eliana, so it has to be another woman. Bruno tries to calm him down, saying his fight with Eliana is not that serious, he only acted that way because he never imagined that he would get married; and he won't since Eliana gave him back the ring. But Ariel won't have any of that, after the engagement party and all the promises Bruno made, he wants him married in 6 months (Ariel, mind your own business, will you?)
Katia is telling Flavia about what happened during the night and how Bianca scolded all the servants, including Mademoiselle. Flavia says she has a plan against Mlle, she asks Katia to go to her room in search for some dirt she can use as leverage. Katia reluctantly agrees.
But later, when Mlle scolds her for not doing anything around the house, Katia looses her reservation and goes into the nanny's room. She finds a locked trunk that she manages to open. In there, alongside some older photos, Mlle kept the letter she wrote Ariel when he first announced his marriage to Bianca, the one where she confessed her love for him!
In the meantime, Flavia goes with Ariel into the city; Ariel thinks that maybe he exaggerated with Bruno a little (you think?). Flavia tries to convince him to make Nico an associate at his company. Of course Nico wouldn't dare ask for that, but she knows that is what he wants. Ariel points out that she seems to know what everybody in the house wants and needs. That is enough to make her shut up. So, you see Ariel, how much you could accomplish if only you would talk back more?
Bianca goes to Bruno's room, tells him she talked to Eliana, she is waiting for his call. But Bruno wants nothing more to do with her, she is the one who ended things and he has no intention to get back together with his now ex. Bianca insists this is what Ariel wants. But Bruno doesn't think his uncle was being serious, and anyway, he will do what he wants with his life. Yes, his feelings were made perfectly clear last night, Bianca says. She scolds him for putting her in a very difficult position, he kept looking in her eyes and saying that he is in love. Bruno apologizes and admits that every day it is harder for him to keep his feelings hidden, but she shouldn't worry about it no more, he won't put her in a difficult situation ever again. So does that mean it's her turn to chase him? If only...
PART 2
Ariel tells Francisca he is thinking about making him an associate, but she doesn't agree: Nico is, after all, Guillermo's son, they can't trust him completely. And there is also Bruno, who will soon graduate (yeah, right, graduate in the forbidden love department).
Later she congratulate Nico herslef, and gives him an advice: nothing is more important than family; if he is faithful to the Piamonte family, he will have much to gain in his career. I think Nico got the message.
Katia calls Flavia, tells her about the letter, Flavia orders Katia to make a copy. After she makes one, tries to put the letter back. She has some trouble because Mlle is back from shopping, but eventually she does it; Mlle catches Katia in her room, but when she checks to see that her letter is in its place, she finds it and doesn't suspect Katia of anything.
Flavia is visiting Penelope, she doesn't want to live with her because Bianca needs her, she has many enemies in the manor. Penelope disagrees, she suspects this might have something to do with Bruno. Penelope is such a quiet person, we always forget that she knows Bruno very well, too. She knows how passionate he can get and he and Bianca spend a lot of time together. What if he makes a pass at her?
But covers for Bianca very well, saying that she would never cheat on Ariel.
In the meantime, B&B decided to go to lunch together. When did this happen, did I miss a scene or did it happen off screen? And why did she agree to this, especially after their last talk? It just seems kind of random.
Anyway Bruno is eating but Bianca is kind of distracted. When he asks, she admits that she feels strange being here with him, and not her husband; she likes the feeling, though (wow, can't believe she admits this); there are so many things they don't know about one another. She mentions how he promised he would call Eliana (so they made a deal, if he calls, they go to lunch together?), but Bruno has other plans; he wants to go back to the dock and he needs a driver, since he is still hangover.
When they arrive, Bianca likes the place very much. The fishermen are not around, Bruno would have wanted to thank them; he was able to talk freely the other night, without the fear of being judged. Bianca wants to know what he told them. Duh! about how in love he is and how it is the first time he felt the need to say it out loud. She reminds him his love is impossible, but he doesn't care anymore, he finally feels free, calm. She looks impressed by how many things she doesn't know about him.
The drinking buddy arrives and Bruno thanks him for calling his uncle. The guy wants to know if Bianca (who is a little farther away) is his "famoso tormento" (Heh). But Bruno is not drunk anymore, so keeps mum.
Eliana calls Bianca, who doesn't admit she is with Bruno. Then she tries to convince him to call Eliana again, women change their minds all the time. But there is no room in his mind for Eliana, he wants to show Bianca something. He takes her to a lake or something, a solitary place, where he doesn't have to hold back what he feels. Bianca likes him like this, without any masks. He feels that last night set him free, Bianca agrees the same happened to her. She insists he needs to get married, but he only wants to enjoy the moment they have; the world is a better place when she is around, if only he could stop the time. All through their talk he keeps caressing her face, her hair, it is really delicious to watch.
Bianca reminds him this is impossible, when they leave they will go back to their normal lives and they will have to forget what is about to happen.
Are you thinking what I am thinking, Bruno kind of says, but in a more passionate way.
Bianca moves closer and she is the one who kisses him this time. It's not a smoldering, passionate, kiss, but kind of tender. I guess she is still a little shy, poor girl, but this is a huge progress for her.
And so ends the episode.
Terrific recap, Hombre. "Love or justice?" Yes. That is the question, at the end of the day.
I was completely stunned by Vicente's plan to trap Flora and Candelario (and Agua Mala, of course). Like Flora, I believed him when he said he was still in love with her. It is so easy to despise the "conquistadores" (Vicente, Imanol, Silvia and Sofi) when you see them huddled together and plotting Flora's downfall.
Karen's conversation with Flora makes more sense now that we know what Vicente is really up to. You remember, she told her friend she should have shown the emotion-choked confessional video to Vicente. Flora says maybe in the future she'll let him see it. (Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be a voice from the grave.)
The gang has had some pretty funny disguises. Lady Harvey was the best one, I think, but Mireya's gaunt face looked perfectly at home in the habit of a religious. (And Max (QEPD) as arty gay guy was impressive too.) The thing is, we, as viewers, are giggling one moment at how ridiculous the characters look and gasping in shock in the next, when we see, once again, how brutal and lacking in remorse they are.
Gracias AdrianaNoel!
"you see Ariel, how much you could accomplish if you would only talk back more." So true, I'm liking the tough Ariel much more than the smily-face one.
Nina, draping herself all over a hungover Bruno in bed. Ack.
Katia made me sick pawing through Mlle's stuff. I think Mlle might suspect something even tho her letter was still there; she looked worried, not relieved.
B&B chemistry is good! Maybe an unscripted moment at lunch when Bianca said "dime" to Bruno? He cracked up. And yay, Bianca made the move!
Clara
Thanks Hombre for the well-detailed recap of all the events, activities and costume-changes last night. It will be very interesting to see if/when Flora's video confession actually makes another appearance.
EL SECRETARIO:
I have no idea what Telemundo is doing right now. Yesterday's and today's episodes were more like a horrible highlight reel of punch lines with no set-up or background info. Today's highlight reel ended with the punchline/scene for episode #140. Until Telemundo returns to doing one actual, entire episode each day, I'm not going to bother doing recaps. It's pointless (plus I'm completely dazed, confused, shaken, stirred, and lost.)
thanks so much novelera!
and for your comments as well Beth,
so didn't Antonia show Alejandro their right to ownership of the El Chamuco, which was pretty conclusive, and so Alejandro has an idea that this mine belongs to los Suárez, and he has just been sitting on this idea for how many years, typical Alejandro, now I wonder what will distract him from finding out the truth.
(I wish somehow they could show Alejandro the part where they drugged Gabriela and brought in the lawyers to show how legally incompetent she was)
Patti and Ricardo look like perfect lovers, up until,,, then they separate and Ricardo goes to another room to sleep, so sad,
interesting turn of events with Marcario backing off from doing Antonia's dirty work.
maybe I got this wrong but did Antonia bring into doubt whether Gertrudis was a real psychiatrist, and Gertrudis really looked excited at being in charge of everyone at the hospital including the doctors, or maybe it's the thought of all of those patients she could torment,
I wonder what Poncia's hidden crime was, that has her tied to Antonia.
I'm glad at least Max is looking out for Cecilia, her innocence, and the way this actress (Gina Vargas) does this part, really wins me over, and I think David as well, if he would ever admit it, so different from Antonia and the life she has laid out for him.
AdrianaNoel - stupendous recap! gracias!
It was truly uproarious when Bruno said 'de ella' twice, when Ariel was questioning the identity of his 'love.' helloooo... her... her .. right here by my bedside.
I was snickering when Bruno called out Bianca's name twice (yes I counted) as Nina was, like you said Clara, 'draping herself' all over him. eew!
And then the next morning, the first word out of his mouth is Bianca! so deeelish!
thanks so much AdrianaNoel!
if Ariel didn't like Nina and Bruno wrestling around I wonder what he would think of her caressing him in his bed, when he has been drinking.
(don't you just hate it when you have had too much to drink and the next day EVERONE knows all about it).
so after everyone has left for the day, Bianca flows into Bruno's bedroom in a stunning yellow dress, perfect hair and makeup, only to sit by his side, oh yeah and to scold him.
I like Francisca's interest in the business, she must be a partner, and very good consul for Ariel,
at lunch,
ah Clara, I too caught the maybe unscripted "dime" from Bianca, and the smile from Bruno.
ooo, Katia, víbora menor, caught twice in Mademoiselle's room, a place where none of the staff must venture without permission, so evil, maybe as payback someday, the staff will have a big party, and not invite her.
Bianca is so doomed, Bruno so set her up, and then just stood there, allowing her to make the decision, allowing her to move in for the kiss, he is good...
Clara, Nina is such a busy body and I have a feeling she's only just getting started.
Shallowgal, didn't you just love how Bruno did everything in his power to let everyone know he was talking about Bianca? Everything except actually say: "Tio querido, Bianca is my impossible love, really, do I have to spell it out for you? Geez! Bring me some more tequila!"
Deb, when Bruno kept going with his amor imposible, I was afraid Ariel might think he was talking about Nina. I hope Flavia never gets that idea!!
It was so funny how everybody found something to do outside the house, even Flavia who is glued to the mansion in more ways than one. So, that meant Bianca had all the space she needed. But it was so much better that they went outside, far away from all the Piamontes. I always thought their first kiss was kind of tainted by the fact that it happened in Ariel's taller.
As for Bianca's dress, I swear to God, every day she dresses like she is getting ready for the runway. Eliana who?
I don't know if Bruno intended to trick Bianca on the dock, he just seemed very happy to be with her. I was glad and kind of surprised by the way she changed her attitude after she saw him drunk. The way she put things, the fact that she kissed him is only an intermezzo, but once they get started, I don't think they will have it in them to stop. I foresee a lot of sneaking around in their future.
Deb, I think the document Antonia showed Ale was a deed to the El Chamuco land in Lucia Beltran's name only. Her will leaving the land to El Tigre disappeared when the lobos captured him (I think both documents were together in Tigre's possession when he left for the DF). Antonia has made the argument that the land is Beltran property, and of course no one (ie; Tigre's heirs) ever contested her taking of the property. Gaston started to fill in the blanks for Ale, but, as you said, Ale will probably get distracted and drop or postpone his pursuit of the truth.
On occasion David has defied Antonia, but he is still afraid of her wrath. I think in some ways he is like her sons - strongly disliking her motives and actions, but unable to effectively challenge and stop her.
Antonia did say to AniMal that she didn't know if Gert is a real doctor and had never seen Gert's college degree. I thought this was just Antonia's stirring up support for her plan to kill Gert and not a statement of the truth. We heard that Vero had investigated all the lobos, so she knows if Gert is a licensed MD. If Gert is NOT a real doc, this could be part of Vero's venganza plan. But right now I tend to think she is an MD.
The Poncia-Antonia connection continues to intrigue me. Whatever the crime, poor Poncia has probably more than done her time with Warden Antonia.
Beth
AdrianaNoel - siiiii.... tequila for everyone.... the truth serum... lol!
deb - you really feel Bruno set Bianca up? no digas eso. to me, it felt so sincere.
Just announced last night on the UniMas FB page (and I just saw it this morning), the grand finale is April 4.
"Ya todo se va a terminar y el destino de todos esta en juego. El 4 de Abril gran final de Made in Cartagena"

That night, dMart learns that his father is Felipe and he raped his mother when they worked together in Miami. dMart will never forgive the mobster for hurting his mother, even though he and Diana were born from it...
hi shallowgal,
on when I said. "Bruno so set her up"
aaa, maybe I didn't say that quite right, although he did set the scene,,,
you can really see his hunger for her passion,
(and he is very, very good at romancing a lady),
but I didn't mean to say it was a trick, rather that he did it so right,
by allowing the kiss to be Bianca's decision, and allowing her to make the move,
then allowed him to follow through, releasing his passion and fire,
with out her backing away.
Bianca is so doomed....
Beth, if my memory serves, I'm pretty sure the will that El Tigre had [and I also remember his tearing his house apart looking for it] was the will giving Lucía, his deceased wife, the land on which the el Chamuco mine is located. This was her father's will.
I don't think there was ever a will giving the land to El Tigre, but then, in the case of no will, the spouse usually inherits everything.
So I'm pretty sure El Tigre was going to the capital to present the will naming his wife as the heir. Although they didn't say so, probably he would have needed his marriage certificate to show that he was the heir of his wife.
deb - oh thank heavens for your clarification. that sounds so much better. good for my romantic soul.
I'm hanging on by my fingernails. I simply can't bear Flavia's plots. Her ghastly joy at discovering something on Deniz is unbearable. She says it's about Deniz being in love with Ariel, but I think it's about Deniz getting on Katia about HER behavior and also that Deniz is classy and obviously well educated, while she herself is just a cheap harpy who lived off her husband and, in fact, was likely the reason why they said he died penniless.
Novelera, hang in there, each of us have different ways of interpreting some of the scenes, it is always so great to have many different opinions gathered in the same place.
Flavia is a hard pill to swallow, I am also fed up with her. I trymy best to ignore her because after all the build up, I am sure Bianca and Bruno will have their moment in the sun...or on the dock... and that is what I am waiting to see.
I am not sure her attitude toward Deniz has anything to do with Katia, she doesn't care that much about her vibora menor. And when she tells Bianca she is trying to mess with Mlle for her sake, I don't believe that either. Flavia only does what she does for her own profit, no matter what that might be.
What really bothers me about her is the way she tries to meddle in Ariel's company when it comes to Nico. Ariel has to be the biggest idiot in the world for allowing this beatch to be around his family, no matter what his wife thinks.
I agree that Bianca's father surely went broke because of her expensive tastes. If she's been able to trick Ariel into letting her keep a 85.000 Dollars neckalce, imagine what she used to do with her husband on a daily basis.
Deb, I totally get what you are saying about Bruno. The fact that he set up the perfect romantic place for Bianca to finally let go of all her caution doesn't mean he actually knew she'd reach her limit. I think he put more effort into convincing her in the sauna, now he was mostly talking about himself and about his feelings. She just happened to be the one those feelings were directed at.
novelera - I know what you mean re the "F" ... lol!! I, like AdrianaNoel, also don't focus on her too much.
AdrianaNoel - I just remembered.. yes, what did happen to Bianca's resolve that nothing would ever happen b/w her and Bruno? ha! 'guess all his talk about 'love,' and not just attraction broke that down? who could blame her?
Didn't Antonia intimidate Francisca into signing over the mine to her? I thought that it was clear Francisca would inherit the mine, but Antonia threatened little (at the time) Max, so Francisca just signed it away. I may have this wrong. Can anyone remember?
Fed meets up with dMart and his two children to talk about the wedding. Fed will take her to the altar. Then they talk business and the bank percentage they will buy from Felipe.
Alone with Aliva, MiggyA tells her that she may not marry dMart because he will confess that she killed her own mother.
At Zekes house, Diana tells him about the incriminating note of the recent murders. Nats supposed note and now the clothes filled with blood.Zeke says to believe in his son and dont tell the police.
dMart reunites with Felipe in a restaurant to take his part of the bank. Felipe tells him to deposit the money in a bank account for his 3 kids: Dmart, Diana, and Omar. He is now concerned for their well-being, since he is about to die. Nevertheless, Dmart assures him that that they will never accept or forgive him.
That afternoon, Alex visits Aliva furious and tells her that sooner or later she will fall. He believes in Nats innocence, and threatens Aliva with a knife. Though at first she tries to calm him down, Aliva grabs a knife to end the accusations. Without knowing what awaits him, poor Alex decides to leave, she isnt worth dipping his hands in blood.
Then, Aliva talks to Nat and asks that she join her, her loyalty in exchange for cleaning her name and freeing her from prison. Aliva confesses that she wants to change and stop killing, she can do it with Nats help. But Nat refuses, she would rather die. Aliva threatens to kill Alex, which provokes Nat into attacking her.
At Zekes house, Luci finds a bleeding suit in his room, with it, a note saying that his wife knows everything.....
PART 1
Flavia is reading Mlle's letter and laughing about it with Katia.
B&B are done with the make out session (already?), they are back at the car. Bruno is all mushy, saying he's never felt anything like that after a kiss. Bianca wants Bruno to enjoy this memory because it will never happen again. Then Flavia calls, has something important to tell Bianca. When she finds out her daughter is with Bruno, having "lunch" she warns her to be careful, because Bruno is dangerous.
Deniz comes to Flavia's room, she wants to talk about the tension between them and offers a truce.
B&B arrive at the house, Bruno doesn't want to let go of what they have; but Bianca insists it was just a kiss, it won't happen again. Bruno compares her with the Black Widow, sleeping with its mate and then killing it. Bianca points out that they did not sleep together and she is not killing him. Oh, yes, she is, Bruno says, and he is really devastated. Bianca reminds him she is married, she only kissed him because she had to listen to her heart, but it would be crazy to go on with this. Bruno asks for a meeting in the taller, at night.
Ariel comes home and they have to stop their "chat".
They all get into the house, Bianca on Ariel's arm and Bruno in the back, looking awful. Flavia teases Bruno a little on his drunken night, Ariel asks him if he called Eliana. Flavia is sure Eliana only wanted some attention, the moment she realizes how important she is for Bruno, she will come back (yeah, Bianca, you hear that?). Bruno leaves the room, Flavia wants to talk to Bianca, but her daughter is set on spending time with Ariel (guilty much, Bianca?)
In the evening, they are all chatting, Santi makes fun of Bruno's drunk behavior. Nina is getting ready to play some of the scores Mlle bought. Ariel has to fly to NY early in the morning, for business (Whooohooo!!). Bruno doesn't want to talk about Eliana, he says he needs some fresh air; he suggestively looks at Bianca as he leaves the room (and so the sneaking around begins).
In the piano room, Nina is getting ready to play the same piece Bruno played the night he kissed Bianca for the first time (Chopin, Nocturne no 20). Francisca, Mlle, Santi and Flavia (bored to death) are with her.
As the music starts, Bruno is waiting for Bianca in the taller...has this song become their taller hookups soundtrack? It's fine by me.
As she hears the song, Bianca remembers how Bruno played it for her. She is wearing a shawl, I am expecting her to go to the taller, but no. She goes to the office, where Ariel is working. She needs to tell him something important about Bruno and he is not gonna like it! She is not telling him about the kiss, right???
In the meantime Bruno is waiting in the taller, in the dark. He pours himself a glass, he is very nervous. He hears some noise and he calls for Bianca's name, just when the light flickers, it is Ariel who's come to the "date". Holly sh...!!
Ariel knows from Bianca that he is here, she told him everything!!!(Really???) Bruno is about to faint, but Ariel talks about Eliana and how Bianca told him Bruno is not getting back together with her. That must mean that she is not his impossible love, it has to be another woman, right? Bruno is very relieved Bianca didn't rat them out, he doesn't want to get back together with Eliana, there is no other woman, he only got drunk because he knew they will not get married (his excuse is very poor, but what else can he say?). Ariel advices him not to rush into anything and just listen to his heart, it will soon give him an answer. Oh, boy!
PART 2
Back in Flavia's room, she is getting ready to tell Bianca the new gossip. We get a very disgusting scene of the way Flavia eventually hands out Mlle's letter to Bianca. She makes her "Mlles is trying to take your place" speech again, followed by the "I am always right, you need to listen to me" routine.
Bianca wants to know if Flavia wrote the letter and, if not, where did she get it from. She says she fears her mother (that is a good feeling to have, Flavia is a loose cannon). Then, she tears the paper and flushes it down the toilet.
Not to worry, though, Katia made a copy for herself, too.
Upstairs, the kids are saying goodbye to Ariel; Mlle is acting all motherly, which causes Bianca to offend her, by calling her “tia amargada”.
Later in the room, Ariel scolds her and Bianca admits that sometimes Mlle irritates her with the way she is so close to the kids, acting like only a mother would. But she apologizes to Ariel and goes to the bathroom. He is left remembering what Flavia told him about Bianca feeling threatened by Mlle’s position in the house and how close she is with the kids, who are now all grown up and not in need of a nanny anymore.
Nina and Santi go to Bruno’s room, he is very upset. They try to cheer him up by showing him a photo of him and Eliana at the engagement party, which only makes him remember how that night he told Bianca he will annul the wedding if she asked him to. Nina wants to know about his impossible love, if it’s not Eliana, is it another woman? (Yes, it is, little girl, another woman that is NOT YOU!) Finally, he gets rid of the unwanted visitors.
He remembers the kiss and how Bianca said it will never happen again. He is so desperate, he punches his boxing bag, letting out a scream that startles half the house.
Ariel, Santi and Nina all get out of their rooms. They meet Bruno in the hallway, he apologizes for the noise, he was only working out. But he is a mess, back in his room, Ariel tells Bianca who has just got out of the bathroom (and didn’t hear the scream) that Bruno is obviously lovesick, that he yelled with rage, not because of his workout. Oh, Bianca, how can you stand this?
Nina goes to Bruno’s room again, he is actually crying and it breaks my heart. Bruno doesn’t confide in her, what could he tell her, really? He just wants to be alone. (So Nina, just leave already, go play with your dolls!)
Bianca goes to Katia’s room, she knows she is the one who found the letter, snooping around in Mlle’s things. She wants her out of the house, unless Katia gives her the other copies of the letter. Afraid that she might get kicked out, Katia gives Bianca her other copy (to Flavia she’d told she doesn’t have one and Flavia believed her, but Bianca is smarter than that for a change). Also, she decides that from now on Katia works for her, not for her mother, and if she wants to keep living in the house she will start spying on Flavia and report to her.
Very smart, Bianca, BRAVO!
But she looses my sympathy the next day. At breakfast, Mlle knows the exact time Ariel left for the airport, which Bianca finds very troublesome. But with her next breath she reveals that she very well knows about Bruno’s whereabouts, too (he didn’t spend the night home)… so, who is more desperately in love here, Bianca?
Mlle senses the bad vibes coming from Bianca and she wants to talk about whatever it is that is bothering her; it has become so obvious even Nina and Santi felt it. Bianca is upset Mlle is talking to the kids about her and she starts reciting (with Flavia and Francisca present) the part of the letter where Mlle was saying how much she loves Nina, Santi and Bruno, therefore making it obvious that she read the whole letter.
Not classy, Bianca, not classy at all!!
It's so funny that Vero has decided to "adopt" Cecelia, so we'll now start to see her in nicer outfits, and everyone will have to treat her like a "rich girl". I wonder if she'll change. So far she she seems fine with keeping all the "family secrets".
And now Antonia wants Alberto to woo Valentina? And he agrees? Okaaaay.
Lucho's doing a great job on Ramon, who is about one more drink away from revealing lots of secrets.
Somehow I get the feeling that even though Alejandro has agreed to run the mine, and wants to feed info to Ricardo, he's going to royally screw it up again!
I enjoyed how Antonia advised Irene. Irene says, if your man was unfaithful, would you just grin and bear it? Of course not, says Antonia, but YOU'RE A ZERO without your husband. So get back in and pretend you're a great mother, caring for Lucia. Loved Irene's face!
many thanks AdrianaNoel !!
didn't Bianca seem to be a bit more mello after the kiss,
and Bruno more anxious,
the guy that was in full control only moments before...
love the way Deniz, irregardless of any emotions or inner turmoil she might have, always strives to be the Perfect employee, always stepping up to confront stressful situations, trying to bring harmony to the household, so cruel that anyone would do her wrong,
you could really see how conflicted Bruno was when Ariel comes to the shop in place of Bianca,
saying that she told him all,
and his relief when it turned out to be only the part about him not marrying Eliana,
(well done by Jencarlos),
interesting that Bianca was fighting Flavia's new poison about Mademoiselle with every bit of logic she could muster, first accusing Flavia of writing the letter and next realizing Katia's part in stealing it,
but it infected her anyway.
and Bruno's scream of anguish,
that is heard throughout the house,
(except in the bathroom where Bianca is), wow!
and how Nina is quietly becoming Bruno's only friend,
(I know how hard she is to like but what an incredible role Carmen Aub is doing)
things just never seem to work out for Katia,
but why would they?
and Bianca reciting Mademoiselle's very private and personal letter,
that was not meant for anyone's eyes,
cut to the quick,
(Bianca must have read, and reread, and memorized the entire letter)
how long before someone reads Bianca's diary?
this show was so well played by all!
AdrianaNoel - hot daang! another saucy recap. what can i say, except thanks again. your 'oh boy' to Ariel's advice to Bruno about listening to his heart had me chuckling.
Bianca said to 'f' (yes, this is my way of minimizing her) that she fears her more and more each day. so why the hell listen to her B???
Nina is really irksome, the way she incessantly presses for answers, be it from Bruno or anyone else. I hope she doesn't get it in her head that she's his amor imposible. He best take that photo of him and her off his nightstand, before she reads too much into his actions.
oh gaawwdd, deb. Nina quietly becoming Bruno's only friend?? he better keep going back to see that fisherman, if he's in need of a friend. Jencarlos is really doing an amaaazing job. I am mesmerized.
yes Hombre, that was interesting that Veronica took Cecilia under her wing,
I think she will blossom,
and interesting that Veronica is always throwing new curves to her band of merry men,
but sad that while she persues her reconciliation with David,
Constanza can do nothing,
so Alberto now has 2 patronas,
how will this work?
loved Irene having Lucecita thrown out of the club,
but her break with Patti leaves her so all alone,
so will Lucas be fired?
and will the one eyed Ana Layevska impersonator get out of town alive?
she must know that the Lobos have all turned against her,
and that no place is safe,
I wonder why she didn't run to Veronica?
Deb, I liked how Bianca didn't fall for Flavia's poison, too. What really got to her was Mlle, after all, and all the attention she has with the kids.
I have to say, Deniz sure plays a major role in the house, with Nina and Santi, but also with the way the house is being administered.
Bianca is all "I am Ariel's wife, this is my house", but all she does all day is prance around with her gorgeous dresses, fight with Flavia and lust after Bruno. I've never seen her get involved with the house, talking with Don Salo about dinner and what not. These are all things that Mlle is doing and this has nothing to do with the fact that she's been with the family for a long time.
She just cares in a way that Bianca never will, and that is one more way to see that she really doesn't belong in that house.
Shallowgal, the way JC Canela is playing hurt Bruno is making me root for him like crazy. When he yelled I could feel his anguish and when he saw Ariel in the taller I think I was as panicked as he was.
Does Bianca really think that one kiss will be enough? Because when you've been craving for something for so long, a drop is enough to appease your thirst? Bianca, stop being a prude and go for it. Nobody cares about your marriage, it is obvious Ariel would be so much happier with Mlle.
yeah AdrianaNoel - Bianca is trying her damnedest to not stray from her marriage; she keeps repeating to Bruno and to herself i bet, that she's a married woman. ay pobrecita... we all know she won't be able to hold back, and end up eating her words. you brought up a very good point about her non-participation in the day to day matters of running the household.
She and Bruno are too busy thinking about each other, they can't do anything else... I say this with a grin from ear to ear.
I agree, Hombre, Vero's plan to have Cecilia live with her is perfect. David won't be able to pressure her for sex at La Fortaleza as he would probably have done at Francisca's. She is a beautiful young woman. It's great to see her smile.
I don't think Alberto will have a bit of success with Valentina. She's still in love with Max, something that was obvious when she saw him at Francisca's. Still mad, but still in love.
I couldn't believe Irene made that scene at the clinic in front of dozens of people. And it was great that her efforts to enlist Ricardo in her campaign against her sister did not work at all. She got more than she bargained for when she said that Patti had foisted a bastard off on him. Ricardo adores that child; and, of course, if the law is the same as it is in the US, a woman's husband is always the legal father of her child.
I was kind of rooting for Gertrudis, which surprised me a lot. She's absolutely horrible, but I didn't want that miserable excuse for a human being Lucas to be able to kill her. The pepper spray in the face was great! And Lucas had to endure the scorn of Lagarto and Macario for not being able to off an older woman.
A mixed bag, this episode. I loved that Bianca finally got that smug look off Katia's face. But Flavia's poisoning of her mind worked anyway.
The thing that bugs me is that no one who read that letter understood it. She admitted her love for Ariel, but said she knew her hopes were gone because he married Bianca. It was a goodbye letter. Sure, she ended up staying. But there's been no evidence she is trying to get Ariel. It's obvious she stayed for the children. Why is Bianca so dumb?
Sorry, guys, the Bianca and Bruno hookup to me is just the road to disaster for them both. Not something I'm looking forward to at all.
novelera - even though I looove the B&B pairing, I don't like the idea of the forbidden. I wish the title of the show was different, or that Bianca could keep resisting Bruno, or until perhaps she is widowed/divorced. but that wouldn't be living up to the title of the show. ugh! it makes my stomach queasy actually, cuz like you said, it'll be a road to disaster.
The stereotypical acting has gotten on my last nerve.
Wanda D'Isidoro was an evil news reporter in UNA MAID. She was a nicer one in ERDLV.
Roberto Mateos - Angry bitter mobster in MCI and ERDLV (later reforms).
Jalymar Salomón - Burned alive in CV. Burned alive again in ERDLV.
Saul Lizaso - Older man young woman relationship in EC and ERDLV. (To be honest this is my first time seeing him. I had a cowerker who said "bueno" the same way Zeke did! Think hes a damn good actor.)
Paulo Quevedo always seems to be attached to the heroines. Was Doña Barbaras ex lover, Marisa Lujans ex-husband, and Alivas ex boyfriend.
Felicia Mercado - Eva Spencer hated Adolfmael. Valeria the Blonde Gorgon hated dMart.
Maritza Rodriguez - Psichiatrist in LCDAL and ERDLV. (Shouldnt the appropriate term be ex-psychiatrist in LCDAL? From what i understand Javier destroyed Pilars license after the supposed affair she had with Ricardo. She was mostly a housewife during the present events.)
And even Chocarros character makes me think of a nicer Adolfmael.
Did i forget anyone? Any opinions? (On a side note i may migrate to PASION PROHIBIDA.)
NovelaMan, I'm grateful for your recaps, because I just want this farce to be over without my having to rot my brain watching it.
I will say that Marlene is doing a good job now that her murderous nature is revealed.
Ye Gods the scenes with the idiot cop Tomás babbling on and on just drive me crazy. And I tuned in once when they alluded to him being a sex addict. And this adds to the plot, how?
How much more of this will there be?
AdrianaNoel, your recaps continue to add to my enjoyment of this show!
Novelera, I share your dislike of the Flavia character but it seems like she will be the pivotal point for all the disasters to come, and we're not going to be rid of her. I also feel the impending doom of the lead couple; Bianca's choice to get rid of Ariel's baby to me spells disaster in the ultimo capitulo. HOwever, I keep watching because...I can't look away!!!

It looks like Lucia's illness will keep Ale from his pursuit of the El Chamuco ownership issues for awhile. And whether little Lucia lives or dies, Ale is going to suffer. She is the only person he truly loves right now, and, if she has a life-threatening illness, he will be devastated.
Funny that after so many years of passionate, clandestine meetings, Ale and Patty got caught during a non-sexual hug that probably wouldn't have happened - if Irene had been a better wife and mother and had been at the hospital tending to her husband and daughter. She was so bent on revenge against Julio and Luz, that she turned her cell phone off to focus on having Luz kicked out of the club (which was pretty entertaining!). And even after she was told about Lucia's illness, Irene's only concern was HER husband was cheating on HER with HER slutty sister. It's way past time for her punishment to start.
I loved Ricardo's threatening to have Irene arrested for disturbing the peace and then banning her from the court house! He didn't get caught up in her self-righteous screaming; he just severely warned her of the consequences of her obnoxious behavior - and told her to get out.
Dr. Cyclops in disguise at the bus stop was hilarious - those glasses did not hide the patch. I too wondered why she didn't run to Vero for sanctuary. Maybe she was afraid she'd have to reveal more about the lobos (including herself) than she is prepared to. Even though she manhandled Lucas and escaped, Macario and Lagarto are on the case now and they'll get her.
Did someone say Cecilia is only 16? I'm guessing both Cecilia and Vero will benefit from this new relationship and make David a better man.
I thought the writers did a good job playing the parallel story lines of Vero taking Cecilia in to protect and care for her while Irene neglected and minimized her child's needs.
Alberto seducing Valentina - eeuww! Here's hoping she's smart and sees through him. Maybe someone will tell her that he's Lucia's daddy.

Just so you all know, her name is not Aliva. It's Alicia, (Ah-lee-see-ah). Just saying...
Here we go again! Flora, Karen, Watu and Celina have organized a whole street rally in support of the champeta contest. Everybody's out in the sun, everybody's dancin'. Unfortunately, we see Blatcho in the shadows. He's got a gun, and it's aimed at Flora! He calls Harvey, I can't shoot her, there are too many people. Do it anyway, says Harvey. So he aims, and Watusi jumps in front of him! Watu heard him on the phone, now knows Harvey is alive. But Watu says he HATES Flora, he wants to help Blatcho! (a lie, but Watu sure has balls). Blatcho isn't sure about this. Watu convinces him to take him to Harvey, which he does. Harvey can hardly believe Watu would turn on a dime against the girl he's always loved. Not on a dime, she ditched me for that Dominguez, and I want payback, says Watu. I'll even work for you. Harvey will have to think about this. By the way, the champeta organizer was so impressed with the street rally, they WILL have a champeta contest (if anyone's left alive to dance!)
It's time for Candelario to deliver the Santa Helena to Shadow, in exchange for Dixon's freedom. They go to the usual abandoned yard. The cops are right there watching the whole thing. Cande's van rolls in, Agua Mala's in it. Shadow's van rolls in. Vicente wants them to arrest everyone now, but Colonel Sanchez says we have to wait for the exchange, otherwise, there's no proof, the lawyers could get them off. Agua Mala is trying to open the case, Cande says why bother, but Agua Mala trusts no one, and he finally gets it open. It's empty! The cops double-crossed them! But what to do now? Cande says let me handle it. He bravely goes out to meet Shadow in the middle, says you release Dixon first. Shadow balks at first, then releases Dixon, who runs to Cande's van, gets in. Cande gives the suitcase supposedly containing the Santa Helena to Shadow. Shadow gives him a suitcase of money, then moves to shake Cande's hand. Cande hesitates, then shakes, but this is enough for Shadow to smell trouble. The police jump out, a few shots are fired, Cande gets back to his van, but the idiot police aren't able to stop Shadow from zooming away scot free!
Cande's van, though, hasn't moved. After considering his options, he and Dixon step out and surrender to the cops. Agua Mala, though, GUNS the van, and escapes! He later burns it to the ground, and hides out at Harvey's club. Harvey comes in with Blatcho, Mireya and Watu, and they hear a sound. Agua Mala fearfully comes out, don't kill me! Harvey kicks him a few times, then ties him up. As for Watu, Harvey's going to give him a loyalty test. He has to set up a meet with Dominguez.
The news (and Silvie) report that the Santa Helena has been stolen. This is a lie, of course. Harvey meets with Shadow, tells him sorry, the Santa Helena was stolen, it was one the news. Wrong, says Shadow, and did you happen to know that Cande and Dixon have been arrested? Harvey is shocked. Look, says Shadow, I don't care what you have to do, I need that Santa Helena or else! Harvey says, my band has failed over and over. But there is one guy who can get us the Santa Helena. Vicente Dominguez. Fine, says Shadow, do what you have to do.
Sofi calls Flora, sorry about the last time, let's talk. Flora (with Karen) meets with her, and Sofi says I just called you over here to tell you your game is up, your brothers are in jail, and your free days are numbered. Hah! Flora is aghast, goes to see Vicente (also in the house), what happened, you promised us Cande would be okay! Vicente says sorry, it just got out of our hands, we were trying to get Shadow, but it went bad. I still love you. Flora is reassured, thank God, oh Vicente I understand. Vicente looks as if he's feeling really guilty, maybe he regrets this trick he's playing on Flora. Later, while Flora is visiting Belen in the hospital, Karen goes to see Sofi, gives her the tape, says just play it, you'll see she was forced to do it. For her family. If YOU had to choose between robbing the Santa Helena to save your family, or having them killed, what would you do? Sofi watches the tape, and is at first very skeptical. But when Flora says on the tape that she really felt terrible about loving Vicente, because it would hurt Sofi, and Sofi is the most important friend she has, Sofi melts a bit. I'm not sure if she's ready to totally forgive Flora, but she's looking at things a bit differently at least.
In the jail, Vicente and Sanchez tell Cande to spill the beans, tell us who's in front of the band, the whole thing, where we can find Shadow, etc. Cande says forget it. You lied to me. You say you'll help me? That what you said before. I'm not talking. Vicente again thinks he may have misjudged things.
Blatcho and Mireya watch Sofi leave the house, get in an armored car with two bodyguards. They follow the car for a while, but that's not working. They hijack a cab, so now they're in two vehicles. One goes in front of Sofi's van, the other behind, and they stop, blocking all exits for the van. They waive guns, open up. The guards refuse. They spill gasoline on the car, threaten to blow it up with a lighter. The guards jump out, guns blazing, but Mireya and Blatcho kill both guards. Sofi runs down the street. But she doesn't get far.
Watusi calls Vicente, we have to meet. Sorry, says Vicente, I'm busy. But I know a lot more than you think about the Santa Helena, Watusi says calmly. Vicente agrees, and he has to come alone. He meets Watu at the beach, what's this about? Harvey comes out of the shadows, gun drawn. We have some business. I have no business with you, buddy. Oh yeah? Look at this. Harvey shows Vicente his cellphone, Sofi tied up, prisoner. I'm through fooling around. You give me the Santa Helena TODAY, or your daughter dies! Vicente gets irate, if you harm a hair on her head, I'll kill you with my bare hands! Don't threaten me, says Harvey. Or you won't have a daughter. Now get moving! Vicente staggers back to his van.
And just so we REALLY go crazy, Shadow tells his guys, I want Cande and Dixon killed in jail. TODAY. I want them to suffer on their knees, begging for forgiveness, which they won't get, after crossing ME!!!!!
The doctor tells Alejandro and Antonia about Lucía having leukemia. Antonia actually behaves well, comforting her son.
Two cars full of crooked cops and killers arrive at the bus station looking for Gertrudis. Although she’s disguised as a boy, she knows they’ll search the bus, and slinks off.
Valentina comes to see Vero about Cecilia. Vero says good things about Max having risked his job to bring Cecilia to a safe place. Cecilia is well dressed and tells Val she’s going to study.
Alejandro goes to church to pray for Lucía, begging God not to punish his daughter for what he did to Gabriela. Francisca overhears.
Alejandro tells Irene about the leukemia, but she can only keep focused on a sick child a few minutes before lapsing into a jealous rant about Patti. He tells her, if she can’t get over herself, to get out and leave he and Lucía alone [as if!]
Antonia’s over her sadness pretty quickly and has set up a “chance” meeting between Valentina and Alberto Espino at the club. And for the cherry on the sundae, she has Max wait for Valentina, while she slips out, so he’ll be sure to see Val and the jerk together.
Alejandro is telling Lucía some fairy tales when Vero peeks in and is moved by the two of them together. Vero talks with him after, telling him he has to be strong for his child.
Alejandro tells Vero that he loved Gabriela and lost her and can’t bear to lose his daughter as well. She says that once you love and lose, there are scars.
Valentina isn’t interested in Alberto until she spies Max looking on, then she’s up dancing with him. Gah!
What’s up with Lucho? Before he disguised himself; now he hangs out at the House of Muñecas looking the same as he ever did. What if Julio shows up? Anyway, Ramón is very drunk and telling Lucho about seeing El Tigre Suárez dead. He says he knows who killed El Tigre and the others. But, of course, in telenovela cliché mode, he passes out before saying anything.
Antonia finds Vero and Ale talking at the clinic and brings out her claws. She makes a snarky remark about widows hanging out with handsome fathers of sick children. Vero isn't fazed at all.
Antonia is about to tell Irene who the real dangerous female rival is when Julio, Aníbal, Lagarto, and Macario arrive to tell her Gertrudis got away. She’s furious.
Gertrudis has come to Vero to save her. Aracely says some things to Constanza, in her burka, in English so Gertrudis can't understand. Cute. She has a pronounced Mexican accent. Gertrudis starts to spill her guts. She lies, though, telling Vero that she lost her eye because they sent someone to beat her up.
The doctor advises Alejandro to have another baby with Irene to use the stem cells from the infant’s umbilical to save Lucia. Or she will need a bone marrow transplant from a relative.
Gertrudis is brought to a beautiful pool by Vero’s burka clad “attendants” and given some special tea. Vero tells Lucho they’re going to make her suffer, plus get all the information about the others.
Ale announces what needs to be done to the whole family – either have another baby, [Irene looks like she is sucking on lemons.] or someone needs to be a donor. Antonia later tells Aníbal that she agreed to be tested but has a mortal fear of actually donating.
Gertrudis wakes up chained in a fairly clean dungeon compared to the one at the nuthouse. Lucho and Constanza watch her on the reality TV.
Novelera - thanks so much for the very quick recap. My favorite scene was the arrival of the cops and killers looking for Gert in the park. That mustache was too much!
Lucia's leukemia - several thoughts: it must not be too aggressive because the doc suggested Ale and Irene have another baby for the umbilical stem cells. Nine months is a long time to wait for stem cells if Lucia's condition is really serious. Maybe Lucia's leukemia is one of the easier to cure types.
Also, the doc told Vero that 'distant relatives' could donate bone marrow. Gaby/Vero is a Beltran through her mother - could she be a possible donor? And I noticed that Antonia did not ask AniMal to be tested anonymously even though he's one of Lucia's grandfathers. Patty, Julio, Little Ricky and Luz's hijo are also potential donors.
Irene sucking on lemons - good one!
Well, Cecilia has already started to give away the 'family secrets'. Her comments to Valentina will be repeated to David or Antonia sooner or later.
Poor Lucho had a busy night. Try as he might, he couldn't get Ramon to spill the beans, and then later he had the pleasure of tucking Gert in/locking her up.

PART 1
We are back with Bianca confronting Deniz and reciting some of her letter. While Denis is shocked, Bianca "only" asks for some space with the kids, so that she can build a relationship with them (which is a fine request, I believe, if you don't use someone's private thoughts as a form of threat or whatever that was).
Francisca realizes something is wrong with this picture and decides not to leave the house. She goes to Deniz's room and tries to get her to open up about what is going on. Deniz eventually agrees to talk, but not in the house.
Bianca is now in the office with Flavia, who is wondering why her daughter didn't tell Ariel about the letter. They see Deniz and Francisca leave, Flavia thinks Bianca should have Francisca as an ally (not a chance of that ever happening). Tere comes in, Bianca yells at her, the usual stuff. Then Flavia insists that Ariel needs to know about the letter, so that he will fire Deniz. But Bianca can't show it to him, because that would mean also telling him Flavia is a thief that spends all her time conspiring and that goes through other people's personal belongings; she gives her mother a good scolding and Flavia can't say to much to defend herself. But I don't buy Bianca's reason, she could use this to get rid of Flavia, too. I think this is more about her own guilt then everything else.
Away from the house, Deniz is telling Francisca about the letter she wrote, without getting into details about the parts that concerned her love for Ariel. She knows Bianca read it because of the whole word for word reciting. Francisca is outraged by such a violation of privacy, but Deniz just wants to leave the house. (I do like Mademoiselle, but her "poor me" attitude is starting to bore me. She is up against two strong opponents, Bianca and Flavia, some feist wouldn't kill her) Francisca wants Deniz to tell Ariel what happened, she is sure he would be very upset with Bianca. But Deniz is more afraid of the possibility that he might find out about the rest of the letter. Francisca insists that she should stay, sooner or later Flavia will be gone and the marriage will be over, too.
Back at the house, Flavia is leaving, she asks Katia to keep an eye on Bianca, Francisca and Deniz. When she is gone, Bianca comes down, asks Katia to forget about what Flavia told her and just go help out in the kitchen.
Then Bianca goes to Bruno's room, smells his boxing bag, then his clothes. She is smitten with everything Bruno - and so am I, but that is another story :) She calls Eliana, wants to know if there was a reconciliation, since Bruno didn't sleep at home. But no, Eliana hasn't heard from him, he is probably in a hotel, with another woman or drinking with the fishermen, he always runs when he has a problem. (foreshadowing?) Bianca assures her Bruno will call.
Then she calls him herself, but not to talk about Eliana precisely. She wants to see him, but he is at school, he will be there all day and can't come. Bianca insists that she needs to explain him why she sent Ariel to the taller the other night. Bruno is upset, she is the one who said they can't go on, so what is the point? Bianca pleads with him to come home after he finishes school, so they can talk.
Bianca sure has the Bruno jitters, she goes to his school. Obsessed much, Bianca? Anyway, when she sees him, her face lights up, she is there to speak to him, she only needs half an hour. But no matter how much she insists, he doesn't budge. He has plans to go study with his classmates. He leaves Bianca and goes back to his friends. You can see that she is going crazy with his rejection, but he is not doing to well, either. He tells his friends he won't go to the movies with them after all, and he leaves.
PART 2
Ariel and Nico are in NY, they meet Guillermo, who is also there with business. Alone with Nico, Guillermo congratulates him on his succes, but to bad he is only an employee, he won't see any of the money he earned for Ariel.
Flavia is at a casino, gambling. When I think this woman can't be anymore despicable, she proves me wrong. So this is how her husband's fortune was lost.
And, sure enough, when the evening comes, she is back at the house and it is obvious she lost a lot of money.
In the living room, Nina is upset that Mlle won't come eat dinner with them again, she wants to go talk to her. Francisca puts a stop to this, for the time being.
Deniz is in her room with the letter, decides to burn it, which she does outside, in the dark; this also helps her hear Flavia shout at Katia when she gets back from the Casino.
As Penelope and Nuria are out, having dinner, Flavia calls Penelope, needs to see her the next day (I bet she needs money to pay her debts!) Guillermo later joins them, mentions he ran into Nico in NY and how sad that he is only an employee, almost Ariel's slave. To shut him up Penelope mentions that Nico will become an associate at the company.
Nina goes to Mlle's room after dinner, she is worried for her, but Mlle blames her bad mood on melancholy again.
Bruno is in his hotel room, tormented by his Bianca demons, while Bianca is waiting for him at home. She falls asleep and is awakened by Ariel's kiss. Not exactly what Bianca expected, but she covers her disappointment by asking questions about the business trip. As she goes to the bathroom, Ariel tells her Bruno went to get them from the airport and is now in the house, in his room (oh, the joy on Bianca's face... this is gonna turn into a messy affair).
Francisca calls Ariel, in the morning they will talk about Deniz, she is not doing well in the house. And where is Bianca? Downstairs, for a glass of water (LOL).
Nina is calling Deniz, she is still worried about her, but also because Sebas hasn't called yet. Deniz gets out of bed and goes to the first floor of the house chatting with Nina on the phone, while her room is right there....poorly set up scene, but this is just a plot point.
Because Bianca is in Bruno's room, wearing some sexy silky robe; she has been waiting for him all evening. How does it feel when someone does that to you, Bruno wants to know. He is only trying to fulfill her wish, staying away; he can't be around her when Ariel is not present, he can't control himself. That is Bianca's cue for getting closer, she shamelessly provokes him. He wants her gone, opens the door, and she is about to leave, but changes her mind. She can't go and he can't resist her anymore. They start kissing (and I remember how I noticed the kiss on the dock was more on the tender side; well, this one is clothes ripping passionate). They slam the door closed (classic scene that I never get bored with), which Mademoiselle, who is on the hallway, listening to something Nina tells her on the phone, totally hears.
B&B stop, are both shaken and excited and scared that someone might have heard the loud noise.
Let's see if Bianca can climb out through the windows now :))
"Just so you all know, her name is not Aliva. It's Alicia"
Anonymous, NovelaMan knows the name of the character. ALIVA is a combination of ALICIA and EVA. :)
NovelaMan, I agree that Telemundo is guilty of boxing in their actors into predictable roles. I think the actors themselves are all pros and are doing the best they can with what they've been given. If anyone needs a time-out, it's the creative crew -- the writers and the guys who do the casting. But what do I know?
thanks so much novelera !!
and Beth for your comments,
interesting that when something goes wrong all of the Lobos end up at Antonia's feet awaiting a solution from her.
I like Max, I hope Valentina doesn't make a career out of tormenting him, especially with the two patrona, always looking for a pot of gold, Alberto, can't he just embezzle from his own bank or something.
thanks novelera, for sorting out Lucia's illness and all of the options, that was a little confusing to me,
(I still wonder why they didn't just test Alejandro right then and there, and is there a match, a better match, etc., so that they have to test everyone and sort through the tests for the best one),
but I've been guessing that this will all come down to disclosing that Ricardo is his brother, but then I was surprised that it was Constanza that was revealing this possibility to Veronica,
so Antonia has an aversion to hospitals?
I hope that Veronica doesn't take the easy way out by torturing and killing people but that she has some other intricate plan to have the bad guys fall into their own traps, but I guess for now Veronica wants to get the evidence Gertrudis has on the Lobos.
AdrianaNoel - another fine recap. side comments.. always amusing. I like when you point out things I misconstrue (i.e. ..rejection, but he is not doing to well, either.) Thank you!
Just when I thought Bianca is calm, cool, and collected when it comes to Bruno, her crazy mad side comes out uh-gain; it creeps me out, when she goes into his room and starts 'sniffing' around.
The kissing scene in the end... is it hot in here, or is it just me??
thanks so much AdrianaNoel!
interesting, the part where Flavia gives Katia her orders for the day, did Bianca overhear from the landing above, and did she ask Katia what Flavia said just to test her, and did Katia look at the possibility that Bianca did overhear before she replied, aaa, such intrigue, on so many levels,
wow, Bianca swings by Bruno's room to hug the boxing bag, and fondle his things, and make a call to Eliana, is this to make sure that he is not with her?
Flavia is so prematurely hyping this thing about Nicolas being a partner, that if Ariel waffles, Nicolas may be forced to choose to go back to his father's company, the worst of all possible choices,
glad to see Mademoiselle went outside to burn her letter in a bowl, it's really crazy to do that inside a house, but she so looked so defeated, cowering in the bushes,
and Flavia's gambling, did Sylvia say to Penelope later, that she had won her earrings?
ah yes, Bianca swings by to see Bruno, floats right in, doesn't knock, Bruno is cautious and conflicted, Bianca is in control, feeding his fires, Bruno cracks, they kiss, but careless with the door...
yes, I can see Bianca climbing out the window, Ha!
Wow! What a crazy, frustrating episode! "Idiot police" is right, Hombre. Once again the baddest guys run free and a few more innocent victims are claimed.
Next week is the end of this thing and at this point I really have no idea what is going to happen. (When was the last time we could say that about a novela? This one is anything but predictable.)
Felipe confesses that he is Dianas father. He knows that raping Sonia is unforgivable, but its not too late, before he died he wants to leave them something useful, his money. Like dMart, Diana refuses and asks to leave from their lives.
In prison, Tom asks Nat what deal Aliva made with her. She tells him that the nurse came to ask for help in exchange for freeing her from prison and put Luci in her place. Tom tells her to accept, so Aliva will fall for her own trap.
Nat calls Aliva to tell her she accepts being her ally so she can get out of prison. Tom is listening to the conversation, waiting for Aliva to slip up. Nevertheless, Aliva is more prepared and tells Nat to leave her alone. dMart hears this and tells Nat to leave her in peace.
That afternoon, Luci and Diana show Tom all the evidence planted against them. Lucis lighter was found on Rafas crime scene, Diana says thats impossible, because they spent the whole night together. They also show him the bleeding shirt found in his closet. Tom needs to prove its Maris blood.
Meanwhile, Aliva visits Alex and asks not to fight with dMart because of her. Terrified, Alex tries to protect himself and Aliva pulls out a syringe to threaten him. Soon she feels safe and tells him that the liquid in the syringe is water. with her words she tries to convince him and asks for help. She is capable of anything for her man.....
Thanks, AdrianaNoel, excellent recap and sidebar comments!
Flavia is doing a good job of treating Katia like crap, so she'll probably end up on Team Bianca.
Nina needs to get a life of her own outside the Piamonte mansion. She's just one big antenna, sensing all the mood changes in the household, trying to find out why, and bugging people about it.
I thought Guillermo said he was in NYC to bid AGAINST the Piamonte company. That would sound just like him.
Poor Nico. Between Flavia, Guillermo and Penélope being manipulated by her mother - his relationship with Ariel might be soured by everyone hinting he should be a shareholding partner in the business. He hasn't even been there a year. This just makes me sick.
I don't think Flavia actually lost her earrings. What Silvia said was sarcastic. Perdió hasta los aretes. Which I interpreted to mean something like she almost lost her shirt gambling.
deb - I was concerned about the Musketeers imprisoning Gert - not that she doesn't deserve it. If anyone deserves being drugged, kidnapped and locked and chained in a dungeon, it's Dr. Death. But Gaby/Vero has crossed the line into criminal activity. Up to now Vero's actions have been legally OK (well - maybe a little off with the midnight grave robbery and the false death certificate). So, I'm hoping she has a plan that keeps the good guys on the right side of the law.
Beth
Thanks for the recap, Novelera. I think they're heading towards Anibal having to be a donor. They seemed to emphasize several times how he's Lucia's grandfather. Of course, he doesn't want to reveal this secret. And he wouldn't. But Alejandro could find out. After all, Pati knows, right? And if Ale isn't a match....Well, we'll see.
Not only is Valentina being mean to Max by being friendly with Alberto, she also used the class argument, saying why would I go with a lowly criado? This is really low of her, even though she thinks Max has a thing for Antonia (which is ridiculous). But hopefully Max will remain steadfast, and Val will eventually see the light.
Francisca told Vero how much Ale cried in prayer, praying for his daughter. And Ale has told Vero several times how much he loved Gaby. Vero is very stubborn (always has been), but ONE DAY she's going to have to forgive Ale, and take him off her enemies list.
I think Vero's crossed the line into criminal behavior, and will continue to do this, more and more, until she makes some really big mistake, and someone she loves will die or something terrible will happen to them. Her little moments of partial guilt aren't enough. She's gotta be FORCED into seeing how crazy her revenge scheme is getting. Of course we want the bad guys to suffer, but it's not up to Vero to play God. She really has to let the authorities (not the local ones, of course) handle prosecutions, once she gets the evidence. I think Lucho will get the evidence (he's been recording Ramon), but Vero STILL won't go to the authorities, despite the pleas of the others.
Okay based on what Antonia said about her irrational fear something isn't right. Is there going to be a pool on how long it takes Cecilia to find Dr.Cyclops... I say three weeks.

From a prison payphone, Cande and Dixon call Karen and give her a message for Flora - they need to talk; Harvey and Shadow are working together, and how police, Vic and Imanol are helping them.
Imanol and Vicente talk about a new plan to rescue Sofia. Mati comes into the office, crying, she blames Flora for the abduction. Vicente says they can’t risk putting Sofi in danger; they need to use the statue and whatever else necessary but not Flora.
Flora meets with Cande and Dixon in private police room. Cande tells her that they made a deal with police, so they’re there and safe. Cande tells Flora that Harvey and Vicente are their enemies so don’t trust either. Flora argues that Vicente is better than Harvey, at least he and Dixon are safe and alive. She asks Cande to reconsider (think about it.)
Blatchko and Mireya bring Sofi to hideout apartment, and leave her bound and gagged in a closet. Harvey and Watu see her. Harvey laughs that she is the big prize he’s waiting to use. Harvey goes away to talk with Blatchko and Mireya about the next phase of their plans. Watu sits with Sofi.
Cande and Dixon are in the prison yard. A priest bothers them to take a bible. Cande and Dixon walk away. Bible explodes and starts a riot. Cande and Dixon duck and get to safety.
Karen sneaks into Harvey’s club office. She starts to search around the desk. She uncovers a file and starts to read it. She’s shocked and leaves with the file.
Cande and Dixon are in the police private room again - this time they are talking with Imanol. Imanol wants to know more about Shadow and Harvey. He informs them that Harvey has kidnapped Sofia. Cande makes a deal; he will tell what they know for two things - that he and his brother get immunity and he and his brother can go to the hospital (to visit their mom).
Flora and Karen meet up together. Flora tells Karen Harvey is alive. Karen hands her the file from Harvey’s office - Karen is really upset - Harvey is a pimp with a large prostitution ring. Flora is stunned and immediately calls Vicente to tell him about the file. As soon as he hangs up, Vicente tells Imanol.
Watu calls Celina and lies about where he is, to keep her from searching for him or worrying about him. Harvey then tells Watu he hurt Flora a lot and needs to apologize to her now. Watu makes another phone call.
Karen is with Cande, Flora and Dixon as they visit Belen in her hospital room. Cande and Dixon explain they are working with the police against Harvey, so Belen doesn’t need to worry about them. Later, Karen apologizes to Dixon for keeping him in the dark about everything. Dixon forgives and understands. Cande jokes that his brother and Karen are a couple. They all kiss and hug and say “Bye” to mom.
As Vicente is on the phone at the police station, Cande hides in the hallway. At the drop-off site, Vicente is standing alone with the statue in a case. Police chief and Imanol are hiding out in their travel RV nearby, watching and listening. Watu visits Belen in the hospital. Belen cries to him for forgiveness and thanks him for being a good man and helping safe her life. Mireya, in nurse costume, enters the hospital room and gives Belen an injection. Belen goes to sleep. Watu helps get her into a wheelchair. He watches Mireya wheel Belen out of the room.
Flora arrives at the house. Mati cries and blames Flora for Sofi being abducted.
Harvey calls Vicente from his lookout point on the historic fortress. He tells Vicente that he sees the RV and thinks he isn’t alone - that the police are there also. Vicente tries to convince Harvey that he is indeed alone and he pulls the statue out of the case to show Harvey. Harvey sees him.
Flora apologizes to Mati and explains she had nothing to do with the abduction.
As Harvey is on the phone, Sofia screams to her dad. Vicente hears her and yells at Harvey not to hurt her. Harvey says, you’re out of time and chances. Blatchko points his gun at Sofi’s head. Next thing, Imanol, Vicente and police hear a couple of gunshots and they all sprint over to the fort. Vicente is in a full panic.
Vicente, Imanol and police run up to the top of the fort. They search around but find nothing and no one there. Harvey, Blatchko and Sofia are in the getaway car, driving away from the fort. Sofi pleads for her life, and that of her baby. Harvey laughs.
Vicente makes a call to Harvey. Harvey puts Sofi on the phone - to talk with her dad for a minute. Just long enough for Vicente to know she’s still alive. Harvey tells him to wait for him to call again. Harvey and Blatchko talk - next phase of their plan (Blatchko sounds ready to shoot something/ someone).
Police chief Salsef tells Vicente to back off the investigation/abduction - let him and his men handle the entire operation now and to send the statue back into the vault for safe-keeping. Vicente doesn’t want to leave. Imanol tries to convince him to let Sanchez and the police do their work.
Karen and Flora talk on the bus - about Harvey; about someone getting a high-priced lawyer and walking free.
Police chief Sanchez talks with Silvie about what happened earlier (the drop-off exchange).
Cande and Dixon catch Blatchko in the alleyway and knock him out. They pick up Blatchko and carry him away. Meanwhile, Mireya and Watu wheel Belen into the living room of the mansion. Harvey is there waiting. Belen wakes up and sees him. He tells her to behave or everyone will die.
Flora and Karen meet with a police officer - to make a full statement against Harvey. They listen as the police officer explains the process and the consequences for them and Harvey.
Watu takes Belen up to the bedroom where Sofia is. Sofi asks Belen if she is working with Harvey. Belen tells Sofi the truth.
Vicente, Imanol and Silvia are outside arguing - Vicente wants to go, be part of the police operation to get his daughter back. Silvie and Imanol don’t agree.
In the cave, Cande and Dixon hold Blatchko in a chair. Blatchko threatens Cande and Dixon’s sister and mom. Cande and Dixon electro-shock (use a tazer) on him. Blatcho continues to threaten.
Harvey calls Flora on her cell phone. Flora is stunned and starts to scold him for what he’s done. Harvey tells her to tell Vicente to turn over the statue or she won’t see her mom again. See ya at the hospital. Flora hangs up, looks at Karen - we have to go, he has my mom! my mom!
Silvie and Imanol try to convince Vicente to back off, not to interfere with the police. Vicente says Sofia is his daughter - his daughter - he has to be involved. Silvie volunteers to make the exchange.
In the cave, they take a break from shocking Blatchko with electricity and hear Agua Mala screaming and crying in the closet. Dixon and Cande pull him out.
Flora and Karen get to the hospital room and see Belen isn’t in her bed. They panic - Flora realizes Harvey’s serious - they leave to tell Vicente and the police. Meanwhile, back in the bedroom in the mansion, Belen is still talking with Sofia.
In the cave, Agua Mala squeezes Blatchko’s face and grumbles at him. Cande and Dixon discuss how to get Blatchko to give up Harvey’s location. Cande doesn’t want too many problems; then he shocks Blatchko awake. Blatchko slurs, look on his cell phone for “Maria Isabel”, that is Harvey’s number. Cande finds the phone and calls the number. Harvey answers thinking it’s his cousin. Cande gives Harvey a message - threatens Blatchko’s life.
Flora meets with Vicente in an office. She hugs him; he is upset and desperate to get his daughter back. She consoles him. Vicente thinks he should plan to turn over the statue. She warns that Harvey is very dangerous; no telling what he won’t do. Flora asks Vicente, you blame me, too, don’t you? Vicente says he doesn’t blame her for this.
Silvie is on the phone -- with her dad. She is grumbling about Vicente thinking more of the statue and his daughter than her. She makes another phone call - to Imanol, who is with Vicente.
In the living room of the mansion, Harvey grumbles to Mireya his frustration with everyone and everything - he’s tired of it all. He goes upstairs to the bedroom. He grab Sofia and points a gun at her head. Belen is sitting next to Sofia. Harvey lets go and leaves. Belen comforts Sofi.
Vicente tells Flora, Harvey has Sofi. Flora begs him to let her take the statue and make the exchange with Harvey - let her do this for him and Sofi. She begs and cries. They hug.
NEXT WEEK -- the final four intense episodes of Made in Cartagena.
PART 1
So, B&B are making out in his bedroom, in the heat of passion they slam the door and Mademoiselle hears the noise and calls out for Bruno.
Bianca hides in the bathroom, as Bruno gets out of the room. Nina heard the noise, too (of course), she wants to know what happened. Bruno says he was training without his gloves, he hit the door, he is sorry (this training stuff is becoming quite noisy, Bruno dear). Nina is in the mood to chat, but Mlle sends her to bed.
Bruno gets back to his room, tells Bianca they can't go on like this. But, what do you know, she blames him for kissing her when all she wanted to do is talk. Oh, the nerve! Bruno can't believe his ears, she is the one who is in his room at this hour of night; that is why he didn't want to come home, he can't stop himslef in her presence. But for Bianca the only solution is to keep things as they are, their lives need to go on; and believe it or not, this is hard for her, too. She leaves.
Francisca goes to the kitchen for water and asks Camila where is Bianca (Ariel had told her she went for water). But Camila hasn't seen Bianca! OUCH!
In his room, Bruno is trying to box his feelings away. Ay, ay, ay, corazon!
The next morning Penelope visits Flavia. Of course she asks for money, saying that she has some debts left from when her husband was alive. But Penelope already knows about the Casino. Flavia takes credit for Nico having a job, which I guess means they have to pay for her expensive vices: she ows 25.000$$$$
Ariel and Bianca come downstairs, all lovey dovey, which makes Bruno sick. Francisca is there, too, asks Bianca about not meeting her the other night, when she went to get water. Bianca scrambles for an excuse, no better than Bruno's boxing without gloves story (if this is gonna continue, these two need to become better liars). Ariel asks Bruno if he called Eliana yet. Bianca insists that he should.
Later Ariel and Francisca talk about Deniz. The nanny didn't complain with Francisca, but she knows something is wrong; she reminds Ariel that Deniz raised his kids, she is like their mother, he needs to take care of her just as much as he takes care of Flavia. VERY good point, Francisca!!
Bianca calls Bruno, wants to know why he left in such a hurry. What did you expect, he yells, to stay and watch you and my uncle's kissy faces? (so the jealousy scenes begin) Bianca says it is her duty to stay with her husband, at least he can go, but she has to find ways to be away from him in her own house. They end up with no conclusion, Bianca insists this is their duty and there is no other way (nice how Bianca went from loving Ariel do staying with him out of obligation after 2-3 stolen kisses from Bruno).
Ariel, Flavia, Penelope and Francisca talk about Bianca's birthday coming, what should they prepare for her? Bruno with a nice bow tied to his bare chest? Just saying...
PART 2
Bianca goes to Deniz's room, she wants to apologize for her behaviour. She knows she crossed the line, she was just jealous that Mlle and the kids are so close. She knows how important Mlle is for everybody, she wants them to be allies, hugs Deniz.
Bruno goes to see Eliana, gives her back the engagement ring, wants to make up - he doesn't actually say it, this is obviously such a chore for him, but Eliana is so happy to see him, she ends up apologizing and all is well. whatever....
Later, in bed, Eliana starts talking about how Bianca called every day to ask if they got back together, she has been a really good friend through all this. But the last thing Bruno wants is to talk about Bianca's part in their reconciliation. When he gets a moment alone, he wonders what has he done (I believe he is thinking about getting back together with Eliana).
Ariel takes Bianca to buy a new car, Bianca (still in damage control mode) tells him she talked to Mademoiselle, apologized for everything.
Later, when she is in her new car, bought by her husband, she thinks about Bruno. Because, why not?
Deniz talks with Francisca about Bianca, who extended an olive branch to her; maybe she didn't read the letter or she is keeping it to herslef. Francisca warns Mlle to stay alert, anyway.
Nuria and Nico talk about Guillermo wanting him back at the company. Penelope mentions the shares again, Nico scolds her, saying that he and Ariel never talked about this, so she needs to stop repeating it, she sounds just like her mother, Flavia. Well done, Nico!
Later Penelope tries to get some money from Nico, so that they can help out Flavia, too, Ariel doesn't have to pay all her expenses. Nico has no problem with this, how much should they give her, 500, 1000 $? Hehehehehe
Guillermo meets Silvia, she mentions the fact that Flavia gambles again and invites him to the private game she is planning and which is totally illegal. Guillermo says he will thing about it.
Bianca and Ariel get back home with the new car. Everybody admires it, but I don't like it because it's a huge SUV, that has nothing to do with Bianca. Anyway, Nina mentions there is another surprise waiting for Bianca in the house.
All giddy and impatient, Bianca can't wait to see what it is: none other than Bruno and Eliana making out in the middle of the living room, in front of everybody.
Happy birthday, Bi!
Maybe Antonia is an alien "Visitor", and doesn't want the docs to see the green blood? Doesn't she look like she'd fit right in with her alien comrades from 1983's "V": http://theincredibletide.wordpress.com/2012/04/07/lizards-and-reptilians/lidya-and-diana/
PART 3
So Bruno and Eliana are back together, Ariel is surprised, Flavia says that Bianca played Cupid. They start talking about Bianca's party, but her good mood vanished (I wonder why? :D)
Bruno takes Eliana home, she insists he stayed with her, but he won't.
Bianca is in her bedroom, writing in the diary that she doesn't know what is going on with her.
Later she goes to Flavia's room, tells her she made a truce with Deniz, so no more intrigue, please. Flavia takes the credit for Bianca's new car, too (oh, God), mentions the letter. But Bianca can't use it because of the way it was obtain.
When she leaves she meets Mlle in the hall, says good night, which draws Flavia'a attention.
After Mlle leaves, Bianca hears a car, she approaches the window, sees Bruno. She fixes her hair a little, makes it so they meet when he gets into the house. He asks if she's been waiting for him, but she silences him, pointing to Flavia's room. Indeed, Flavia is listening, but can't really tell what is going on.
Bianca goes up the stairs, Bruno a step behind her; they are both tense and secretive, they stop at the top of the stairs and have another make out session (there is no stopping these two anymore). Then Bianca runs to her room, she can barely breathe, looks very aroused. Bruno is on his bed, happily excited, too. But then he starts packing a suitcase.
Ariel gets out of the bedroom in the middle of Bianca's Bruno induced frenzy. She flinches when she sees him, he wants to kiss her, but she rejects him, because she wants to brush her teeth first.
In the bathroom, she goes back to the kiss, no way does she want to get rid of Bruno's taste on her lips.
A few days later, Nina and Mlle are searching for a present for Bianca, while Santi, with Ariel's help, is carving her something.
We find out Bruno has stayed with Eliana.
Guillermo rejects Silvia's invitation to the private game, but Flavia is there, just in time to get busted by the police! Oh, I am gonna LOVE this!
Bruno comes home, he gives Bianca her present. She scolds him for not being around, he points out she asked him to stay with Eliana.
He gives her the present, doesn't want to hug her. It's a perfume, the one for their bet. Even if Bruno technically won, because he IS getting married, really Bianca triumphed. (In my opinion, as long as at least one of them is married, they are both losers, but what do I know?)
Bianca wants another bet, the stake being that he won't get married after all. Bruno says no, but then is kind of curious to know what will his prize be when he does get married and wins this new bet. And we all know what they are talking about, as Bianca is only inches away, basking in his presence.
If this is the best they can do to stay away from one another...
Thanks for another great recap, Jody. This show is off the charts!
Cande told Karen to get money from a black sofa in Harvey's lair, which she did, and gave it to Cande later. At this point, Dixon has it hidden behind his back. Karen also found the file which proves that Harvey not only ran a prostitution ring, but sold HER into prostitution. Dixon already knew she had been doing this, and was mad at her, but now that he realizes Harvey forced her into it, he's forgiven her.
Vicente wants to rob the Santa Helena to give it to Harvey to get Sofi back. This is completely illegal, and Sanchez would not allow it. Imanol thinks a bit, then goes, I'm with you, man. But Silvie can't do this. She's been loyal to the bank, which was her father's bank, for all these years. But after a while, she agrees, too, to help Vicente steal the Santa Helena against all bank procedures. And they only have 1 day, apparently after 1 day, super extra security measures will be put on the Santa Helena. But not yet!
Watu is probably the bravest person in this novela. He's pretending to hate Flora. Belen says I can always trust you, and then he immediately betrays her by allowing Mireya to kidnap Belen. But he had to do this, to keep up his front. Later, when Sofi and Belen are tied up, he whispers to them, I'm going to get you out of here. Remember, he also saved Sofi way, way back from a drug dealer. I'm definitely worried that as noble as Watusi is, something bad could happen to him in saving people.
That "priest" in the prison yard was a killer sent by Shadow. Fortunately Cande realized the bible was a bomb, and threw it back in the guy's face just in time!
When Karen and Flora go to the police the first time, they're told that even if they file a complaint against Harvey (for the prostitution ring), it's a long process, and he'll be notified, etc. But how can he be notified if no one knows where he is? Later, after Belen is kidnapped, I think this is more severe, and Harvey can be arrested immediately. Harvey finds out a complaint has been filed by Karen and Flora, and boy is he mad!
But, despite his protestations to the contrary, I think he loves his cousin Blatcho, and may make some deal to save Blatcho's life.
And Flora's willingness to risk her own life, to steal the Santa Helena for Vicente, to save him from going to jail even if SHE would have to go, has finally broken through Vicente's anger at Flora, and I think they're now fully on the same side. But will their plan work? Once again, no show tonight. I can't wait til Monday!
thanks again for another wonderful summary AdrianaNoel!
Bianca's birthday car didn't really excite me either but I hadn't realized why till you mentioned that an SUV is so not her, (not even red), more for a mother with a car load of kids, makes sense to Ariel though,
as horrible as things can be in this story I find myself laughing more every day, Bianca's birthday surprise, with Bruno taunting her, ha! she so earned that one,
and I am really beginning to appreciate Mónica Spear's acting abilities, she is so very good at being this young, confused, conflicted girl, driven by a passion that she does not understand.
and Flavia getting busted, Yes!, love it, Silvia has got to be one of the worst friends anyone could ever have, well not as bad as having Flavia for your friend.
what was the first bet exactly? and I thought the perfume bottle looked a lot like the one she spilled in Bruno's room.
but what is really fascinating is the way Bruno and Bianca take turns chasing each other, as one withdraws, the other reaches, but someone is always stirring the pot...
So Vero has sent Ale's and AniMal's DNA out for testing. Since we all know what the results should be, the only surprise will be how Vero delivers the news to Ale and how he confronts Antonia. I want to see how Ricardo reacts and what happens when Patty owns up to knowing that Ale is AniMal's son.
I just laughed every time Lagarto and Julio pulled their guns out last night. What a pair! I was hoping they'd shoot each other and put us out of their misery.
You can see how Antonia has managed to remain top dog all these years. Her instincts about Gert being at Vero's are spot on.
LOL - David being thrown out of the hacienda - again! Our horny teenager doesn't know the meaning of 'no'.
And I thought Irene was going to go into full blown screaming mode again when she caught Ale with Vero at the hospital. Let's see what she and Antonia come up with to keep Ale away from Vero.
I loved the guys having snacks and watching reality dungeon. Gert crying that her imprisonment is 'inhumane' was priceless.
So now we know what Poncia's secret is. Maybe Ale and Ric can clear her name and get her out from under Antonia's control. But probably that will be later, closer to the end.
Cecilia keeps letting little bits of info out about the fortress and its residents. I think she's just too young and too naive to keep such secrets.
Ricardo must realize by now that his father had something to do with the transfer of the El Chamuco mine to Antonia. The pages torn out of the registry book in DF are no coincidence, and it would be the senator's long arm that caused that to happen.
Hombre - I agree - someone close to Vero is going to be hurt by her actions.
Beth
Poncia goes to see Cecilia, now under Veronica's care,
is so happy things are working out so well,
but let's it slip what a monster Antonia is,
Veronica takes note,
Veronica primps up Anibal with a campaign contribution,
saves his Champagne glass for DNA analysis,
David stops by the mansion, demanding to see Cecilia,
is escorted out by security,
Max is tormented over Valentina's rejection,
Veronica has to keep prodding him to stick with the plan,
Ricardo continues his investigation of El Chamuco,
"but where's the proof?", he says,
Alejandro ponders if maybe there is something in Antonia's safe,
he'll check that out,
Veronica comforts Alejandro at the hospital,
clips a lock of hair for DNA analysis,
Alejandro can no longer resist, moves in for a kiss,
he is totally overcome at how so much she is like Gabriela in every way,
Irene walks up and breaks the mood.
(not another women Alejandro, she cries)
Anibal and Julio visit Lagarto,
demanding to know where Gertrudis is,
Lagarto, hey we are looking,
he and Julio both draw guns, but Anibal once again calms them down,
an anonymous letter is dropped off saying Gertrudis was seen near Veronica's mansion,
Lagarto and Julio leave to investigate,
later at the mansion, Veronica plays dumb,
at the mansion, the lights are turned on in la Tuerta's cell,
(for another episode of reality TV),
our family eats french fries as they torment her with screens of an earlier Constanza looking on,
later on she is fed, but no conversation,
(I guess she is being treated like the catacombs)
Max watches as our lovebirds, Alberto and Antonia kiss,
later he gives Poncia a note to give to Valentina,
Poncia gives the note to Valentina, who sees the similarity to Max kissing Antonia,
doesn't read it and hands it back,
Antonia then intercepts it,
slaps Poncia,
Alejandro intercedes,
a mild mannered Alejandro gets a tormented Poncia talking,
she tells of the secret Antonia has in her safe,
a time when her abusive husband...
the reason she can no longer have kids...
how she stabbed him three times...
Alejandro comforts her,
she lets it slip about Fernando,
their father's death,
he saw Antonia injecting something into his IV line..
Alejandro is Impactado, (as Jean would say)
(as we all are, that she just spit it all out)
great comments Beth!
I did a small summary while you posted, but, thought I'd post it anyway,
as it has a couple of other things on there.
also loved it with Lagarto and Julio pulling their guns,
snorting like bulls, they wish,
and surprisingly I didn't mind Gertrudis' torment,
after all she really is in no real danger, like in her hospital.
what a reveal by Poncia,
a clueless Alejandro was really taken by surprise,
I pity this guy as he slowly puts together the pieces of what Gabriela went through...
Alex asks that Aliva visit Layton, she does. In prison, Layton (He doesnt look that bad. Plastic surgery could easily fix his face!) calls her his colleague, but she tells him that she is superior, if that was the case, she would be locked up like him. According to Aliva, she is better than him and everyone else, always one step ahead. Before leaving, he tells her that Alex knows everything, and he will soon unmask her. She says if that happens, he will end up like Rafa, dead. Aliva tells him that Rafa was her last victim, with dMart things will be different. but Layton says she will never stop.
Zeke receives an unexpected visit from Luisa, the nun who raised Aliva as a child. She was responsible for sending the letters for dMart. Luisa asks for Alivas behavior, she never approved of her return to the US, to face her dark past.
Layton tells Aliva that he tried to stop, but the only thing that did was prison, prison or death is the only way out. Nevertheless, Aliva says that she will be the first to abandon her habits for love.
After the visit, Alex asks for Laytons conclusion. To him, there is nothing that can stop her, she is too smart and has her defenses well-armed. Only killing her will save his best friend, Layton offers to help, but Alex refuses. Layton says to prepare himself, because he will be the next victim.
Meanwhile, Diana and Luci go on their honeymoon to Miami. But not everything is happiness, Francisca works at the hotel they are staying in. She gives Diana a note asking to meet with her ASAP.
That night, Aliva is overjoyed at having Luisa visit her. Luisa asks her if she killed the women close to dMart. Aliva feels offended, but Luisa assures Aliva that she can be trusted. After killing several women in Paris, Luisa fears Aliva will strike again…..
deb - thanks for the recap. CC went out during the Ale-Poncia talk so I didn't get all of her statements about Fernando seeing Antonia injecting whatever into her husband's IV line. I thought from my limited Spanish that that was what she said, but wasn't sure until I read your recap.
There's so much that Ale is going to have to absorb - who his father is, his relationship with Ricardo, Gaby's torture, his daughter's illness, all the deaths and especially the depth of Antonia's evil. I'm hoping all his suffering leads to his redemption.
Beth
AdrianaNoel - awesome recap! Gracias. your "she thinks about Bruno. Because, why not?" has me in stitches.
Nico is a sweet-heart.
I've decided Bianca is bi-polar!!! que the heck??? Like you, deb, I too laugh (and a hearty one) almost every night, and do admire Mónica Spear's acting chops. her facial expressions run the gamut of sophisticated wife of older man, haughty, to beguiling, irate, regretful, enraptured, then unsure, childlike. She sometimes looks older, and at others really young, esp when she's with Bruno. She is enthralling to watch. and damn, i sure would love to have a bod like that.
Thanks for the recap, Deb. Excellent!
I had book club last night, so I only watched La Patrona when I got home. This TN is "must-see" TV for me. It's funny. Before they both aired, I expected to like Pasión Prohibida [because I really like both Jencarlos and Mónica] and would find La Patrona full of clichés about life in Mexican pueblos. But it's just the reverse. I don't care that much about the people in PP, and am on the edge of my seat with all the action in LP.
Valentina needs a swift kick in the posterior. She was showing how much she distrusted Antonia when she confronted her about getting a lawyer to reverse the guardianship papers. Then she stupidly believes Max is having sex with Antonia and won't listen to reason.
Tonight should be epic, when Ale absorbs that his mother killed the man he thinks was his father. Hopefully he'll sit on this for a while and not run straight to her, giving her a chance to perhaps cover her tracks or lie her way out of it. Plus, he would put Poncia at risk.
I don't feel one bit of sympathy for Gertrudis. Although she's chained, HER dungeon doesn't appear to be full of rats and ice cold. As I remember what Constanza said long ago, she had a long spell in that nuthouse dungeon before Gaby arrived.
thank you hombre for filling in the blanks for me from last night's episode. wow! i missed a lot of details, didn't i?
harvey seems to hate everyone but Mireya and Blatchko. I'm not sure if Vicente actually, completely trusts Flora yet or not.
since next thursday is the grand finale, would you like to take care of writing the last recap?
Jody, you may be right that Vicente doesn't totally trust Flora. But she seems to be gradually winning back his trust.
Yes, I'll be happy to do the final recap.
Deb, I love how Bianca is all over the place these days and MS is doing a fine job portraying the 50 Shades of Crazy her character is beginning to show.
I realized early on she will not be your usual protagonist, who cries two thirds of the TN and has her hapilly ever after. I am still hoping for a happy ending, but so far things are just starting and are already very messy.
In real life you can't root for people like Bruno and Bianca, so I am very glad this is only fiction.
And just as you said, they seem to be taking turns pushing and pulling, so much that it's hard to know in any given day which one will be doing the chasing. But that is pretty realistic, I believe, if we consider their romance is tormented by guilt and hidden from all eyes.
I believe the first bet was about the marriage. Bianca said he won't get married, he disagreed. That is why now he said that technically, he won. And the fact that she asked to keep the bet is only her way to taunt him even more, not that he needs it, he is completeley smitten.
Shallowgal, glad to make you laugh, as always.
I watch the show in the morning, when I am all alone (I work from home), so I can express myself quite freely: you should see me, I go through all kind of emotions, almost just like Bianca :))
This love story is hard to watch, but there is no way I can look away, especially now that they started to sneak around, kissing all over the house (no complaining here, it was about time). How far until they go to the next level and more importantly, how far until they get caught?
AdrianaNoel - I wish i was the one who'd thought of '50 shades of crazy.' so apt. forget real life... I always go for fantasy romance, hence my penchance for telenovelas. and normally, I wouldn't like this unconventional tale. first of all, Bruno is not the wealthy gainfully employed galan that i typically like. he is full of charm though, and oh so handsome, and that's pretty much all he has going for him. and right now, Bianca is the flawed but fun alternative to the typically annoying, sobbing, suffering heroine.
Shallowgal, I've been watching telenovelas since I was about 10 and they started showing them in my country.
As the years went by and I grew up and realised the difference between real life and fiction, I started to be a little more selective with my TN. Now I only watch the ones where the hero is someone I like (he has to be hot, very hot or drop dead gorgeous), this is the only thing that keeps me going; the stories are all the same, mostly remakes nowdays, so there is no intrigue there.
That being said, Pasion Prohibida is different; first of all, it is inspired by a turkish novel written in the 1920's, so its origin is not the same as most of the other TN stories.
Having different protagonists is great! As you said, Bruno only has his good looks and charm, Bianca herself is the first to always remind him what a loser he is. And she is no prize either. I wonder what they would do if somehow they end up together without Ariel's money. Get real jobs? LOL
