Amores Verdaderos #109 Mon 4/15/13 Some truths are better left unsaid.
Bus station: Angel gets out of bus and runs to the arms of Vicky. That embrace feels GOOOOOD!!, smiles exchanged and finally a KISS!!!
At B house kitchen, JM and Polita comment Angel’s resignation with He-man. Polita goes to open door to KenDrat. Lilli arrives at kitchen, He-man has to tell her that Angel left for good.
Back to the kiss at the bus station… Ay chispeados!! Perdoneme!! (boy those are weird words right after a goodbye kiss, aren’t they?). Vicky tries to convince Angel not to go, he feels awkward, prefers to go before what they feel for each other becomes something dirty and shameful. She keeps pleading to no avail. Angel also concerned to not cause any more trouble for her with her husband. What if he(Nil-Brains) shows that video to Niki? Vicky gets upset at the thought of that. Angel says ‘nuff said, I gota go’. Vicky keeps pleading, can’t live without you. Angel puts her on the spot. Would you leave your life, your daughter and everything else just for me? I also have my wife Cris and my solecito. We have no right to harm them. Vicky admits neither of their daughters should pay the price of their love. But can’t live without you. (anyone hear the Barry Manilow classic?) Angel reminds her that being with him would mean she gives up her daughter, her sister, her dad and her business. It would not be the life she is used to. He can’t lie either. His life is at the fields, his daughter and his wife Cris. Having come to the city and become her bodyguard was just a fantasy. Vicky refuses to believe what she feels is fantasy. It is reality.
Lilli at the house says she was previewing something was happening. What if it is because my parents reconciled? She will go to the house, maybe they are there. He-man just asks her to let him know if she finds out anything.
Niki asks KenDrat to repeat to her all the story about He-man. She is very confused, he swears he loves her and has no interest in fortunes. Niki tells KenDrat that He-man wants her to cancel her wedding with Roy. ‘Escudo protector, activate!’ (LOL!) KenDrat keeps feeding her lies about Dances hearing from He-man that marrying Niki was a surebet plan that had already worked with his previous wife. His previous wife had lots of money which He-man spent freely. (this is news to Niki about his ex-wife). KenDrat keeps twisting the lies into the holes in Niki’s swiss cheese brain. Niki insists He-man sounds so sincere when he tells her about her feelings. KenDrat says ‘stay strong, marry Roy Pavia’. (Niki walks away and KenDrat realizes Niki is really head over heels for He-man and that she will have to keep working to get Niki to stay away from He-man and marry Roy and move out).
Nil-Brains arrives and tells Niki that Angel quit and is gone. Does that mean ‘Roxana’ (I mean, Liliana) won’t work with us anymore either? Nil-Brain doesn’t know, what matters to him is Angel won’t work for us anymore. Niki asks Dances if he knows why He-man crossed the border (to US)? Dances says don’t know. No one knows. Nil-Son, with a very sarcastic/satisfaction smirk, tells Niki to ask her mother if she knows why her bodyguard quit.
Back at bus station, bus driver/attendant asks Angel if he is still leaving, have to go. Angel says I am coming. Vicky says her goodbyes ‘will never forget you. Even if you go, a part of you will stay with me’. Angel responds ‘even if you stay, a part of you will be here in my heart. I am taking you with me here (his heart) because I… I love you’. Vicky responds ‘Me too. I love you, Arriaga.’ Kiss goodbye, tears .
Elsewhere out in city bridge, Cristina upset remembering the words ‘you are a Balvanera, a Balvanera!’. She sees images of Vicky and Adriana. Her purse drops. Then she yells ‘No!! No!! NOOOOOOOO!!!’
At Pavia house, Roy’s mom Doris is having a hard time letting go of one of her rings, a 20tn anniversary present from her husband. He is not thinking twice, tells her not to be so guilt-stricken. Better think that Roy is doing a favor to Niki, by carrying the load of marrying a bulimic girl. She is still not convinced. She is not ill on her own will. Victor, promise me once you recover financially, you will restart that loan (get off their payroll). Victor promises her, after all the Pavias have dignity… (really?? I only see that word mean anything to Doris).
Roy at tennis court, trainer says he has improved his backhand, but have to control his drive, too strong. Roy says have to ‘release’. He tells Omar about the ‘almost but no cigar’ visit to Liliana at her apartment, and that she is a virgin. Incredible, no? She is 18 and has not been intimate with anyone. (this attracts him). Somehow Roy seems to be smitten by her innocence, so different from all girls he has known. If it were not because he has to marry Niki to solve his finances and boost his career, he would try for Lilliana.
At bus station, Vicky tells Tomasina what happened with Arriaga. Says Angel is right, their relationship is impossible. It made no sense for him to stay beside her, they would suffer too much. Tomasina agrees that Angel is too noble to leave his wife and you are too good to let it happen. Vicky still not sure how she will live without Angel.
Lilliana tries calling her mother to find out about JA quitting. JA is also leaving a voice mail for Cristina from bus to explain his leaving. He hopes they can get back together for good. He says he loves her and asks her to give him another chance… and another… and another. That’s it.
Lilliana arrives to the apartment. She hears the voice mail from JA.
At B house He-man tells Adriana that Niki is the woman he loves he had told her about. Adriana encourages him to fight for Niki. He-man is hesitant because their worlds are so different. Adriana says she knows the woman she loved tried to fight for her but her dad Anyballs got to split them for good. He-man says Niki already made her choice. She is marrying Roy. Adriana says from what she sees in Niki, Niki is not so sold on marrying. Niki’s destiny is in your hands. This seems to light a few candles of hope on He-man.
KenDrat and Inepto. They have to be cautious. He says he got rid of the car, now he has a house and a farm. (does a bit of modeling for her) what do you say?... KenDrat is reviewing data on He-man. She tells Inepto she is looking for details on He-man so Niki will marry Roy. (KenDrat thinks the Pavias are stuffed with money so Niki will not be an annoyance for her later).
Cristina arrives, all upset and makeup all run over. (Inepto is hidden). Cris tells KenDrat she walked a lot trying to line up her head (lost cause?)… please help me. I can’t take it anymore. Cris can’t tell KenDrat… (KD insists)… wait for it… wait for it… ‘I am daughter of Anyballs Balvanera’. (KenDrat impactada, so is Inepto.)
Paula calls Anyballs. Have something to tell you. Anyballs not excited to hear about another of Paula’s issues. Paula asks if Cristina went to see him. He can think of no reason for Cris to come see him. Stop bothering me. All is over between us. (he hangs up) Then thinks that he can’t stand Paula anymore.
Back to KenDrat’s big reveal. Cris won’t tell KenDrat who told her. Cris says my mom never told me. She told me my dad was a sailor who died before I was born. You can’t imagine how hard it was for me to learn this truth. KenDrat goes irate, starts shaking Cris rudely yelling ‘you can’t be a Balvanera!!’ Cris not understanding why KenDrat is mad about this. KenDrat says it is unfair (me indigna) that you did not know, that you could have grown with the same wealth as Adriana and Vicky Balvanera, and that makes me mad!!, that it is precisely Vicky who is stealing your husband!! Makes me MAADDD!!!’ KenDrat stops herself and Cris just falls on a couch to cry more. KenDrat thinking ‘Rats!, just what I needed, now the karateca’s wife has rights to the Balvanera fortune!!’ She gives Cristina a drink. Cris tells her she split with JA because of Vicky. No puede ser! Now it turns out my own sister put her eyes on my husband. KenDrat keeps playing the nice, reminds her she had thanked Vicky for sending a suitcase full of clothes for herself and for Lilli. It was just a bit of charity. She has lived full of luxury while you were so humble. Cris thinks then says that money is not what she cares about, what she cares about is the lies from her mother hiding her origin from her, and that Anyballs abandoned her. Besides, the other sister, Adriana, gets ill/upset everytime she gets close to my daughter. Now I get it, it is the call of the blood (you say it and you don’t know it, girl). She is aunt of my Lilli. And ever since I met Anyballs, I felt good with him, as if I had known him all my life. KenDrat asks what will you do now? Cris not sure. Have to talk to Anyballs. KenDrat stops her. Can’t do that. Anyballs had a heart attack recently and a strong emotion could kill him. Cris says you are right. KenDrat says leave that to me. I will find out if that is true. For now calm down, go home and clean up. Cris says thank you, I knew I could trust you. KenDrat makes sure Cris had not talked about this to either her daughter or husband. She just walked around city. She even lost her purse and cell phone. KenDrat says don’t worry, gives her money for the taxi. Cris will go to the church, will ask God what to do next. God is always here. (now that is the most sensible thing you have said, besides not caring that much about the money). Cris will pray to God for KenDrat and her baby. Cris is very thankful to KenDrat for her support. When she leaves, KenDrat releases her frustration. Inepto says ‘the family is growing, chaparrita.’ KenDrat orders Inepto to get rid of Cris. Kill her. Crocodile tears ‘sorry, Christine, I get rid of that which gets in the way of my plans’.
Vicky at home praying that JA finds the happiness he deserves with his family, it will be real hard for her to go on without him. Nil-Brains comes out to balcony to nag at her and tell her that he asked Niki to ask her why JA left. What will you tell her? He continues with ironic comments ‘are you not feeling good because of your surgery or because your lover left? (she does not appreciate his nagging) She says Arriaga already left, now leave me in peace and go roll around with your lover. (she leaves, he thinks it is not such a bad suggestion(going to see KenDrat))
At church in Santa Rita, Angel is praying, saying you handed my wife to me here, also christened my daughter here. (gets on knees) You know how hard it was for me to give up the love of Ms Vicky. I ask you to turn your eyes to me. Forgive me for my sins of thought. I owe myself to my wife and daughter. Please help me continue on with the way you have designated to me. I want to be the dignified man Cristina fell in love with. I thank you for this great family you have given me. I swear I will dedicate the rest of my life to make them happy. Give me strength, Lord. You have never forsaken me. Give me strength. I beg you.
Cris is walking/wandering the streets. She imagines going to the B house and confronting her dad and her sisters and telling them she is a B too. Vicky and Adri asking Anyballs if it is true… Cris says if it were true, would ANyballs have the b___s to recognize me in front of his family? (Inepto is driving a car following Cris)… His daughter. I doubt he would recognize me. If he never gave Paula her rightful place in 20 yrs, what can I expect?... Cris starts to cross the street and is run over by Inepto in a gray pickup.

Arrrgh! All the signs were there that Cristina was going down, but still I hate it. I hope it doesn't take till ultimas semanas for someone to realize the "accident" was murder. Maybe Salsero? Will the fact that Cris lost her purse or retrieved her jacket from Kendra mean anything? Or are the writers just torturing Viewerville?
Still can't stand Roy the Boy even though he's truly taken with Lili. Don't care if he gets redeemed - I still won't like him.

Kendho Must.Die. Stick a fork in her, she's done. What a horrid, icy woman. She is truly stupid. How does she think she is going to get her hands on the Balvanera money? Nil-Brains,I like that new nickname, doesn't have the money. Kendho must never have researched who exactly has that money. I fear for Lili and all the Balvanera women. I wish Cris hadn't gone to Kendho and spilled everything. I wish she had gone straight home, cleaned up and done some thinking. She'd still be ok then. I didn't want to see this for her.

It was a terrible day here yesterday as the explosions rocked Boston. I am continuing to pray for all those who were hurt and injured and who lost their families.
Cris' death was told in the "precap" here on Caray. I mistakenly thought Cris would be a minor character with a short story arc. Even though I knew what would happen and I'd been preparing myself for months, I thought her death was simply horrible. The fact that she was murdered was a shock. If she had more time, the revelation Anibal was her father would coninue to sink in and perhaps she would have had a second family. I'm sadt that she missed building a relationship with her sisters and niece although it would have been muddy waters considering JA and Vicky's relationship.

I knew that Chris was doomed, but still it was hard to see her get hit by that truck. I had hoped that Espanto wouldn't have the guts to go through with it. I was wrong!
I'm so sorry that Chris won't be able to talk to her dad as her dad. (I presume.) They really liked each other. I honestly think that Anyballs would have acknowledged her. She's the daughter of Candelaria, after all. Of course if he found out who her mother is, he'd also find out that her mom is alive. Yep, that would have been a game-changer.
I'm very relieved that it was a goodbye kiss. Yes I agree Madelaine, I didn't see these two carrying on a steamy affair. In part because it would have devastated their kids. And Big Angel was absolutely right that they needed to stop before it became something dirty. A goodbye kiss is pretty tame, all things considered (though if Chris were around to see it, all hell would have rightfully broke loose!). But no one witnessed it, Big Angel had committed himself to his family again, and I think if Chris were not doomed, he would have made a good go of it. Though sadly, nothing would be ever quite the same again. But he would have done the right thing, I am sure.
Roy the Boy is so yuck. Yes he may really "like" Lili, but he in no way deserves her. If he is for real, he'll need to redeem himself a lot. But this may just be "like" as in, "Ooh, something different, a virgen" in which case, he can go pound sand. (Regardless, he can go pound sand anyway.)
Actually, "on paper" Roy has a lot less redeeming to do than Salsa Dude, but I like Salsa Dude, faults and douchebaggery and all. Roy, not so much.

Oy vey. I knew Kendra would be gunning for Cristina once she heard the news, but somehow I didn't think it would happen so soon, or so graphically. I thought there would be some kind of family reunion first.
I assume Lili is in danger now as well. Kendho might figure out that Anibal might be informed that she is his granddaughter and thus a potential heir. Although, she is such a moron. Does she think no one will ask questions if the entire Balvanera/Brizz family croaks and she's left with everything?

There is still no way Anibal would let Nelson's hoochie baby-mama get her hands on any Balvanera money-- even if Vicky, Nikki, Cris, Adri, and Lili all died. Paula was with him 20 years, and all she got for her trouble was an apartment (which he might take back). If Vicky dies, her money goes to Nikki, not Nelson. This plan just makes no friggin sense! I liked Cris, but her reaction to finding out the news (well, actually, to the lies) was ridiculously over the top. Come on, I find out my mother lied to me about my father - what do I do? Wander the streets of a major city bawling at the top of my lungs and screaming, NOOOOOOOOO! mascara running, climb stairs to a bridge over the freeway, drop my purse, sit on the dirty bridge and scream and cry? NOT!
Cris and her screaming got on my nerves, but I didn't want her shut up that way. That was harsh.

Guzman should kidnap Nikki and take her away so it's just the two of them. Then he should show her his documents on his marriage, divorce proceedings, IOUs to Vikki (including the repayment agreements), his father's hospital bills and the results of the background check on Roy (including bankrupt family, multiple women even when 'engaged' to Nikki, etc). THEN if she won't listen, give up. Take her back home and just quit your job and move on.

I think the writers here are trying to portray Kendho as the worst beyotch/villana. She is plenty bad. She would have also been responsible for the murder of Lili, if Guzmi hadn't come along to save her. And to have Chris taken out so suddenly. I didn't want it to happen, but I guess it just tidies up too many things, plus maintains the secret of Anibal's third daughter.

Thanks Marta, you handled this episode very well. I guess we all knew this was coming sooner or later (drat those snails), but I was not expecting it until Cris at least had an opportunity to confront and shriek at Candeleria a bit.

Oh, Guzmi should totally kidnap Nikki and employ the Love Shack strategy. Bonus points in telenovela tradition if he does this on the way to her wedding, but I'd prefer it happen sooner. He should dig up the dirt on Kendra and Royero first and present her with the hard evidence off at some lovely isolated beach.

Here you are not even married to the idiot Nill, and killing people already. Where are the writers going with this. Her end had better be particularly gruesome. That's all I know.

Since Cris is gone, how long will it take before Lili and JA learn that Cris was a Balvanera? Will Paula tell them before Ultimas Capitulos? Ugh...

What a heinous person Kend-Ho is. Without a redeemable bone in her body. She has manipulated Nikki and Cris and thrown them to the wolves. If she is carring a child, it is the spawn of Satan. I can't wait for her to get hers, but I know it will be a long time.

As for JA/Vicki, their separation will be painful, but perhaps for plot purposes is necessary for now.

I confess, I was in Mexico about a week ago, and I watched AV, but as is the rule at Caray, Caray, I will not let what I know influence my future comments.

Can't type much, have a function to attend with the kiddos.
The way I think of Kendra now is not even close to what I use to think about her before this episode. There was an evil I saw in her character that I hadn't seen before from when she wipes Cristina's kiss off in disgust to when she yells to the Espanto to have her killed. I'm hoping her ending in the novela is hell. Sorry if too much for you guys.
I can't believe they are possibly going to get rid of Cristina, though this confirms it, I think they are going to kill her off, only logical way for Arriaga and Victoria to be together. I'm so mad and am Hurting for Cristina. The only thing I agree is with what you said Gringo, " At least now she will be saved from the pain of learning that Lili is not really her daughter."
I'm glad Guzmancito told Adriana about his love for Nikki and that she gave him encouragement. Truly a beautiful friendship. Can't much more about them Crisitna accident is on my mind.

Just as the Shrew was growing on me, then the writers are taking her. Vivi, I need my beanie too. I kind of thought, hmm.. no they can't do this...what about the lost purse. And why would she be without id? Do you think she could be a Jane Doe and suffers amnesia and gets to love her doctor, I hope so.
Sorry I have to rush this, I'm kinda late and the show is pretty much coming in 15 mins.
