Amores Verdaderos #124 Mon 5/6/13 The loser husbands talk too much... Sad new bride drinks (vs eats) away her blues, then rolls in hay with beloved... Guillo needs a new dad.
We rejoin the ‘not-so-happy-ever-after couple’ in the middle of the dance floor dancing to the Nikki-Gorilita theme song… For some reason the groom leaves the bride alone right in the middle of the dance floor in the middle of the song… (did he have to make another call to Liliana or sing his own blues to his trainer again?) Nikki turns and finds herself lasered to Gorilita’s eyes, who seem to be full of pain. She begins to walk toward him and slowly change from dragged out look to smiling… but just when she is about to reach Gorilita, the groom from doom comes back and steps in between them and walks her away. Our Gorilita looks like he really needs a hug from someone… (anyone! Tomasina! Polita! JM!!)
Paula has called Felipe nervous, she can’t locate Bea or Guillo. Felipe has not heard of them either. Have called her cell phone but got voice mail. This is not her, Guillo goes to sleep early, she never takes this long to come home.
In jail, we have some of the other women felons bothering Bea and end up taking her sweater and shoes. She tells them why she is there, accused of theft, and that what worries her is her son who was taken to a holding place. They remind/tell her she has the right to make one phone call. The women make enough noise at the cell door to get the guard to come over. She needs to make a call! The guard says you will have to wait until the change of shift. Can tell the women are fond of Bea, or at least are giving her the benefit of the doubt and feel for her situation with Guillo.
OMG!!! How low can Leo go?? Guillo asks where going. It’s a surprise. Guillo does not want to leave mom behind. Leo says me either (Liar!!) Leo tells Guillo that Bea is in jail and that she is telling the cops that Guillo was the one that put the necklace in her purse and now the police are looking for him!! Guillo denies it. He walks away totally devastated as Anyballs, Nil-Brains and Vicky arrive. They came to congratulate her on her ‘choice’. She thanks Anyballs for the wedding. It was ‘del top’. Nil-Brains does not want to see tears. This should be the happiest day of your life. Suddenly Polita comes to tell them the guests are waiting to say goodbye. Nil-Brains heads over there to deal with them. Anyballs hawls Nikki away for a walk. Vicky tells Gorilita that she knows all this has been so hard on him. She says maybe Angel should watch Nikki from here on. Gorilita says no need. I will see her to the airport. Vicky repeats to Gorilita that she would have wanted for him to be her son in law.. (awwwww!!) Vicky leaves with Angel… So sad Gorilita walks over to table and holds the glass Nikki was drinking from.
Felipe and Paula still making a hole in the carpet pacing around… She mentions that Bea told her on phone that Leo had left an envelope with the guard at door. Phone rings. It is Bea with the bad news: 1. I am detained at police, 2. They took Guillo to a safe house, 3. Please call Santino, sure he can help. Paula and Felipe will go get Guillo right now. Bea is so worried about him, must be really scared.
Back to B house garden, Vicky tells Angel that last night she barely slept, she was caressing Nikki’s hair. Angel guesses right, that it was a way to say goodbye. She confirms. NilBrains shows the few brain cells, he apologizes and walks out. She follows him out and they make the mistake of continuing that conversation holding hands outside her room. Anyballs watches them argue holding hands. Not sure if he is hearing KD ask Nil-Brains to make Vicky for his having put up with her so many years. (How old is NilBrains again?? 7? 8?)
Outside, Angel is telling Dances that he has the duty to guard Vicky’s safety but also her state of mind. And this anonymous message made her very tense and worried. Dances says they both know who sent it. KenDrat is dying for Nil-Brains to divorce and marry her! Dances gets the cell phone call from Paula. He gets worried, he will deal with that right now. He tells Angel what happened to Bea. Angel wants to tell Guzman. Dances says Guzman is not in the mood for more bad news. Angel agrees. Dances will take care of this. What matters is to find out what happened and to get Bea free asap. Angel will stay and deal with the security. Angel comes up with the obvious conclusion. It was Leo. Dances says if Leo the imbecil canalla is responsible for Bea being in jail, he will kill him.
Nikki’s friends, who are totally wasted, come to Nikki and Roy who are just sitting around sad… RoyToy sends the girls home with Omar his friend. The guests say goodbye. They are left alone. Roy says ‘what a couple we are’. Nikki reminds him before the wedding they confessed they are not in love. Roy asks her why did you marry me? Don’t know, guess I wanted to escape. (after all these two had a reason to smile…)… he walks away deflated. She grabs the bottle and walks away. (with the sad piano/cello music) She looks so unhappy with a face full of tears sitting on the dance floor all alone.
Dances asks Nil-Son to let him leave. Nil-Son denies firmly. I said no. NilSon walks away. Dances talks through teeth.. darn! I will make you pay for this one, NilBrains!.
Outside, Angel is giving Zambrano instructions on how he wants the cars set up. Zambrano leaves. Angel sits on floor tired. Vicky comes by. Paula and Felipe arrive at the children holding place… They wake up the woman in charge, she is nice to them given the fact that it is middle of night. She tells them that Guillo’s dad came to pick him up.
Somewhere on the road Leo stops the car. His mother is nagging at him for filling Guillo’s head with lies about his mother. Leo says it was because Guillo was crying for his ‘madrecita santa’ all the way out. His mom asks aren’t you afraid of what will happen when the truth comes out and Bea accuses him? Leo says these ‘vacations in the jail will be great for Bea, she will come back to me ‘mansita’ (tame,softened).
Bea in jail crying praying that this nightmare will end soon and calling Dances to come help her get out.
Vicky tells Angel he is lucky. In his dark moments he can count on his friend Opalina. Angel says she has always been right in her predictions, except one. She told him he would have a son. And that did not come true. Vicky says maybe in the future you will marry a young woman, marry and have children. Angel is finding it hard to picture that. For him, falling in love is not to replace anyone. But that the heart will have a spot in the other that no one else has been able to fill. And that is what you have done with me. You have taken a spot in my heart and in my life (caresses her face).
Nikki goes to the stables to say goodbye to her horse, she came to say goodbye, she will go far away for a long time. She won’t be with her family… nor with my… nor with Guzmancito. (Guzman comes over) Are you going to be able to live without me? Because I know that not having you I won’t even be able to breathe. I gave my heart to you and even felt that yours felt the same. That is how I now feel as if I am in jail where there is only the pain of not having the woman I love. Losing you is so painful. You can’t imagine what it is like to give up on the love you gambled everything on. (she embraces him and caresses his hair).
NilSon has been summoned by Anyballs. He goes directly to the point about KenDrat and her baby. NilBrains keeps denying. Back to the stables, she and Gorilita are sitting side by side on hay. Nikki wonders aloud why did so many things have to happen to split us. And there is no shield to protect one against it. He holds her hand gently and kisses it. Nikki talks about buying a GPS that will take them into outer space to go on, but obviously, each one in their own way. He embraces her

N: (sits back up) I am afraid, Frankie. I want to paint my world in water colors and lock myself in it because I don’t know what is awaiting me. I don’t want to leave before I tell you that I am glad you came into my life because thanks to you I knew love. I wish that you will have the life you dreamed about you and me. I wish you to be very happy.
Fr: I can only be happy with you. (stands up sad) because you will take my heart away when you leave.
She takes Roy’s jacket off and stands and walks to him… ok it goes from a sweek kiss to a more heated smooch… suddenly her lace bolero disappears and they are embracing closer, kissing gets hotter, he gets behind her and unzips her dress… kisses her shoulder/neck…

Oh man - how selfish is Anyballs! He has the scoop to free Viki from Nil-brains fast and without losing a penny, but he squanders it to cover up the Cristina story. So, Nil-brains gets to stay playing son-in-law while his mistress hangs around like a friend of the family, and Viki has to keep putting up with Nil-brains nasty behavior? What a dad!

Audrey- Yep. Anibal puts himself and his interests first, before his children. This is the way it has always been with him.
If I were Salsero, I would have said screw you, and left anyway to go help Bea. What can Nelson do to him? Fire him? Not with all the secrets he knows. And even if he did, Anibal would hire him back. But I do like that he threw Nelson under the Anibal bus and spilled the soup about Kendra.
So we have yet another person in Vicky's life, Anibal, who knows who Nelson's mistress is and that she's living under her roof, and isn't telling her. JA looked mighty guilty when she spoke about feeling like a fool if people aren't telling her. Now would be a good time JA...

I agree, Vivi. JA needs to tell Vicky. I can understand Vicky would be hurt, but Vicky is not a big star in the KenDrat fan club as Nikki is, so Vicky could find out and not tell Nikki. And hiding the truth from her will only hurt her more later.

I was almost going to let myself be moved when Nikki sat down on the dance floor crying with the sad music playing, but then I remembered, SHE chose this! No one forced her. She didn't even do it to help some or to sacrifice for someone else. She is responsible for her own misery. Meanwhile, Bea is facing REAL misery, not of her making.
I also remembered why I hate Leo's mom. Throw her in jail.

I'm glad Lili walked away from him. Best scenes were Nikki on the dance floor all alone and Nikki with the horse. So very sad. Also the true confessions of love with Nikki and Frankie. Why didn't Frankie tell Nikki what Kendho said to him. I guess he just wants to save her that grief.
Vikki and JA are getting closer. At least they have each other to lean on. Maybe the wedding had him confessing abut his love for Ms Vikki and about Opalina and what she said about JA having a son. She looked very happy to have all that time with him.
FF is an idiot. Well, when isn't he? I am glad that they continued that convo out in the hall and that Anyballs caught them kissing and then confirmed the lova of FF with Salsa Dude. Too bad Anyballs didn't kick him out of the hacienda. But Audrey and Vivi are right no way is Anyballs going to risk FF spilling. It's all about Anyballs.
Poor Betty. I am so glad she got to make that call and that Felipe and the Pau went to that Children's Shelter and found out who took Guillo. Now maybe they can get rid of the low nameless one for good. I hated the fact the low one lied to Guillo about Betty accusing Guillo of stealing and the low one's Mama going along with this plan, even though she didn't like the lies that the low one was filling Guillo's head with. I can't believe the low one thinks that Betty will come back to him. When hell freezes over. He is truly around the bend. I hope the cops look at that mall tape soon and Betty is let go. She doesn't deserve this. I can't wait for Salsa Dude to get on the case!

Vivi - you said so many things that I was thinking! I was surprised that Salsero didn't just tell FF 'I quit' and then leave to go help Bea. He knows Anibal won't allow Nelson to fire him. Maybe the writers needed to make sure that timewise Salsero would be at the hacienda to have that conversation about the KendraHo/FF affair with Anibal.
I'm thinking Salsero may be the one who tells the police to check the mall videos and gets Bea out of jail. Did Bea's attorney ever get a court order for custody? Maybe Lousy Leo can be picked up for kidnapping.

The metal bars on the horse stalls gave the feeling of jail; Nikki has imprisoned herself with her (bad) choice in marrying Roy.

I'm guessing it is time for said ex-boyfriend 'Carlos' to show up. Otherwise, how can the writers fill the next three or four months of episodes? Especially since JA seems to be moving on from Cristina's death so quickly.

One thing that struck me this episode was Roy. He actually told Lili in a round about way the reason he married Nikki was his 'rents financial situation. He never told Nikki that, hmmmmm. Maybe he assumed Nikki already knew. This will be an interesting point when Nikki finds out. Isn't this marrying for interese (sp)? Oh, and what if this marriage, I shouldn't say if, when this marriage hits the skids, as we all assume it will, will Anyballs require that money back he gave to the Pavias?
Madelaine - Did Anibal give the Pavias money outright, or did he invest and become part owner of their business/whatever? I'm thinking he has partial ownership in whatever they have that tanked.

Hmm. Well, ordinarily I am against adultery and whatnot, but Nikki and Royero's nightmare-riage hardly counts, so whatevs. Carry on with the gusanito, sweetcakes. Not to mention, she was totally honest with Roy, but he is still lying to her about his motivations, so I think fraud is still on the table. I really liked the scene with the horse.

Not to mention, she was totally honest with Roy, but he is still lying to her about his motivations, so I think fraud is still on the table. I really liked the scene with the horse.

Considering his track record in method of buying husbands (giving Nelson 20% of his company), I'm not giving Anibal too much credit for being smart about this. I still don't understand why he felt the need to give Nelson such a large share in his company, or any at all! And if Adri had married the "right" kind of man, would he have given him 20% too? Most stupid decision ever.
I wonder if the 'son' Opalina was talking about is the stillborn child of Cristina and Angel.

She was pretty clear it would be a boy child and that he was yet to be born, and that it was NOT Cris's child.
Maybe Anyballs was in a hurry to find a husband for Vicky so she would forget about Carlos. Remember Carlos was around when Vicky married Nil-Son so Nil-Son must have been a rush decision of Anyballs and it took 20% of the company to convince him to marry Vicky. Once Vicky got married Carlos would not have any chance.

I can feel the nerfazos being hurled my way, but I wondered if at some point Angel and Vickie might wind up as the Kendra/Nelson baby's parents.
I'm very surprised that Salsero didn't just go ahead to help Beatriz with or without Nelson's permission. I recall a similar situation previously where he told Nelson that he had to go take care of personal business and made the point to Nelson that he wasn't asking permission, he was just letting him know that he was going.

I think though he did a good thing with taking those sunglasses off and telling Anyballs about the Kendho and the FF, after Anyballs saw the lyin' Kendho and FF argue and kiss. Even if FF were to fire him, or try to get rid of him, he now has Anyballs in his corner and FF can't do anything about that. I think though once they get back to the DF, Salsa Dude will tell FF to go to hell and go help Betty. I also think that Felipe and Pau will do something too to get Betty out of there.

OK, if anyone is waiting on Leo's mom to do anything even mildly resembling crossing him or protecting her grandson, forget it. She is a world class, spineless enabler. It takes two parents to create a monster like Leo.

I am feeling bad for Paula. how do you see her ending here? will she accept Felipe back? is he done with his gambling/drinking for good?
And as far as the Nil-Ken baby, i would be surprised it will be born at all.
I have a feeling someone makes her lose it, maybe Inepto will take revenge on her somehow or Dances will be involved.

We are assuming Kendra really is pregnant. I still have my doubts. She's probably hoping to marry Nil-son and then "lose" the fake baby by fake miscarriage.

Many years later, she has been dumped by that lover, BUT he left her with a swanky apartment, material comforts (and I'm guessing some money too). One of her two kids has forgiven her and now lives with her. She has her granchild with her. And her ex-husband has forgiven her and doesn't hold a grudge.
I don't think she and Felipe should get back together. No reason to. He has forgiven her and they can establish a friendship and be there for their kids and grandkids.

I think that KendrHO is either preganant or , at least, thinks that she is because she talks to ''Mia'' and pats her tummy when she is alone in her apartment scheming . Vivi~~~I agree that Paula does not deserve a happy ending, but I think that she is going to end up back with Felipe and that Guzzy will eventually forgive her. Remember the book ''When Bad Things Happen to Good People'' ? Well, I'm still pondering the frustration of when good things happen to bad people....Paula, I'm looking at you....as well as some folks I know personally. What is up with that messed up karma ? ...sending out fertilizer and getting back roses ???? NOT FAIR.

Susanlynn- I think Paula already has her happy ending and plenty of good things in her life (all the things I listed). She just doesn't realize it. She's a glass half empty kind of gal. And we all know Guzman will eventually forgive her by the end, because it will be best for his well-being and peace of mind.

I agree Vivi and Susanlynn, Paula has always been the 'focus on what i don't have and nag about it all the time' kind of woman. She left her family probably because she had everything but the money that Anyballs could provide. (except for the drunk/gambler nightmare).
As far as her ending, I agree that Guzzy will forgive her to have a new beginning with Nikki, and I still think Felipe will go back with her, they would be good company to each other even if they don't sleep together again.

Dear Vivi~~~Thank you so much for those kind words. We sometimes forget how much of a difference we can make with just a few kind words...even in cyberspace. I am still standing. I give my last final tomorrow, and as much as I love my students , I am a little burned out at this time. I'm not too sad that my summer grammar class will probably not run. I need some R and R. [This translates in my world as JUST babysitting a 2-year-old and 5-year-old 10 hours a day, 5 days a week...but I love them so much that I find the energy ...somewhere. I will try to keep Paula in my mind and continue to drink from a glass that is half full.
