Corazon Indomable #14 5-30-13 Octavio Makes a Decision, Eduardo Makes an Appearance and MariCruz Makes a Statement

Some scenes are combined
.
From last time
We revisit Octavio and MariCruz at the shack following Miguel’s cruel words.  She’s shouting and accusing him, saying she doesn’t want to see him, he’s a liar who doesn’t love her and never did, she means nothing to him. He should just leave!   He gives up, says he’s leaving, and walks out the door.  A disconsolate MC is left with her grandpa Ramiro for comfort.
At the ranch, Jose Antonio explains to the country club set that MC jumped in the river and almost drowned.  They agree to send food, brandy and medicine to the hut, while Miguel says he will call the doctor.  Of course, Lucia discourages these efforts.

The end of a long, no good, very bad day
Ewwsebio and Awfelia are on the road in the jeep, arguing as they go.  She accuses him of cheating on her with Solita; he informs her that “the mute” is attractive and younger.  Viewerville cackles at Awfe’s discomfort.   In the ranch kitchen, Maria and Santa chat and work.  Maria explains that Ramiro made her a basket and she is embroidering him a gift in return.  The bright flowers and large monogrammed “R” are sure to enhance the hut’s décor.  Sly hints of romance to come and singing finish the scene.
Octavio walks up driveway in the twilight, musing over his dilemma. Maybe this is his chance to leave and he’ll take it, but he won’t abandon MC without protection.  Miguel is pacing in the salon, bemoaning another scandal and asking Lucia what MC did to provoke such hatred?

Tomorrow is another day
While Solita is gathering wood on the hill above the hut, Ramiro and MariCruz discuss her situation.  She’s still a married woman and shouldn’t be just wandering all over the fields and woods.  She doesn’t know any other way to cope.   Near the cattle corral, Miguel and Octavio are having their own heart to heart.  Octavio says he has decided to sign over some land to MC.  Miguel objects, angry words follow, Octavio shouts.  Miguel promises to care for MC when Tav leaves, but Octavio insists that he’ll make things legal first.
Many miles away, at the cruise ship dock, Teobaldo/Quasimodo is talking to his new protégé, Araceli ,as he tends his roses.  (Not to make fun of a gentle soul with a disability, but the hump on Teo’s back appears to be all stuffing in his shirt, not an actual back malformation.)  She needs to get stronger, then find a job.  He appreciates her company.  While she goes to fix lunch, he muses that she’s a dream come true—a rose with no thorns.  (Dream on, Teo.)
Back on the hillside, Maria is visiting.  Abue Ramiro is sad over MC’s problems, wants to talk some sense into her because she’s capable of anything.  Maria says something about great-grandchildren, >FF.  The cow’s head is between our geriatric couple much of the time, but no bovine opinion is heard.

MariCruz takes her pain on the road
MC and Jose Antonio are on a jungle road, arguing about her endless walking.  People are saying she’s crazy.  She tells him she likes being this way and to leave her alone.  Moving is the only way she can bear the pain.  Don Octavio told him to watch over her, but he can’t keep up with her.  So leave, already!
Later, MC is seated on ground near the hut, with Moctavio playing in background.  She is still bemoaning the pain of her lost love.  She strings seeds on a strand of natural fiber to create a necklace for herself, recalling Lucia and Ester’s pretty jewelry.  No one ever gave her jewelry, she’s a dirty mess and she wants to stay a dirty mess so no one will ever look at her again.  (She’s doing a pity party the best she knows and lacks the resources to lie in bed or on the couch, surrounded by crumpled tissues and magazines, the TV on in the background and an empty ice cream carton on the floor.  At least she has a monkey for company.)

It’s still tomorrow, still another day and a long one
Octavio approaches from behind and puts his hands over her eyes.  She swats them away, thinking it’s Jose Antonio.  Octavio presents his plan to give her land. She wants nothing from him!  She shows her necklace, she made it, she needs nothing from him! Her hair’s a mess and she likes it that way!  He asks forgiveness and offers to build her a house.  She doesn’t want it!  Nada!  Octavio makes a pouty mouth and tries for sad eyes, but can’t quite reach Jorge Salinas’ level of puppy-doggery.
While Octavio is failing at diplomacy, Miguel is visiting Simona.  He tells her to please not loan Octavio any money, explaining his bro’s plan to set up MC for lifetime security.
MariCruz repeats that her heinous hubby should leave, get away!  She grasps her hair and says she won’t listen.  He reaches for her arm, she refuses again.  Then Octavio drops a bombshell—he’s planning to leave.  MC closes her mouth, opens her eyes wide in disbelief:  “You’re leaving?”  “Yes,” he says, “forever!”
Octavio tries to explain—she going to have her own house and no one will bother her.  MC starts up again—she wants nothing to do with him, he should leave and never return. MC runs to Abue for comfort, with Solita in the background.  Octavio turns to leave, while Moctavio watches from his perch on a tree trunk, apparently indifferent to the drama.
Octavio climbs the hill, wondering if he should really leave, and why did he do something so stupid?   He bangs on the hood of the jeep, saying “Estupido!” again.  He parks the jeep at the ranch entrance, heaving a heavy sigh as he steps onto the drive.  A voice calls his name and a beautiful smile breaks over his face as he hurries to greet his friend.

The day just got better for Octavio—new guy arrives.   And for Maricruz—old guy stays
Hombre de fuego/hawt guy alert!!  OK, ladies, you’ve been waiting for EDUARDO!  And he’s here.  In a sporty little red car.  The two old buddies catch up.  Ed had a hard time finding Tav since he left the airline, but figured he might be down on the farm recovering.  Ed knows about a great airline job, with good pay and pretty women. As they sit down in the salon for a brew and more chat, Ed thinks life must be quiet here.   Tav confides that he’s committed the worst folly ever and his heart hurts so much.
Downhill, in MC’s world, she’s still blubbering with her head on Ramiro’s knee. “He’s leaving!  I want to die!  I’ll never see him again!  Hold him, keep him from going!”  Solita strokes MC’s shoulder and back from the other side, soothing the suffering she can’t hear.  (Some viewers may wish for the same condition.)
MC wants to be with her mother (dead).  She continues to lament so loudly  that Ramiro moves from consolation to counsel.  She wipes her nose on his pants leg, with no damage to the pants.  Grandpa thinks MC should laugh, take a bath, put flowers in her hair—put on a good front.  She should hide her sadness, which people don’t want to see.  Find some joy, make those snooty people think you’re happy and tell them to go to hell!
Octavio continues to confide his problems to his new life coach. Tav would like to go after the new job, but he has to consider MC.  Ed says his old buddy should present him to his wife.   Tav isn’t sure—she’s something of a savage, but appealing.    She’s natural and spontaneous, like clear water,  with her laughter coming as quickly as her blows!   “What?  She hits people?” asks Eduardo.  “Yes, if she’s angry,” Tav replies.   Ed suggests divorce as the best thing.
Octavio confirms that he’ll set MC up with a house, lands, etc.   Ed says do it!  He has two weeks’ vacation and will help Tav get it all done.
Grandpa continues to push the power of positive thinking.  He says she could also leave, could use her brain.  She’s better than anyone and she has a father richer and more powerful than the Narvaez.  She asks where he is and how could she get clothing and shoes?  Ramiro says even with the hurt, she doesn’t want to die, she should live!  Live!
MC is convinced—from now on, she wants to smile. She’s going to take a bath this moment and put on a clean dress (Uhh—which one is that, now?)  MC says no more tears and anger.  No one will tame her.  A look of steely determination spreads over her face, as she declares she’ll have “un Corazon indomable! “ (That should be worth a salud!)

What? It’s night time? Sorry, I think I dozed off…
MC is mending by candlelight and making plans (we won’t discuss why she is only now mending her clothing—maybe in preparation for the outside world.)  She would enjoy a horse ride and Octavio said the horse was hers once she learned to ride.  Problem solved—she’ll just pick up the horse.
Another dinner hour has come to hacienda, but it’s calm with no MC at table.  Ester is eyeing Ed as Tav is explaining that if anything happens to him, MC will inherit his share.

MC has a new attitude
It's morning, and MC is hanging laundry on the line, sporting several flowers in her hair and a carefree attitude.   Jose Antonio rides up and comments she’s changed, she looks happy.  She replies that she’ll look for another suitor, since she has a rich father.  She could go to the ranch, but she doesn’t need to.  JA describes the visitor, a target for Ester’s flirtations.  They’re planning to go riding early the next day.  MC asks for details on the time and emphasizes that she won’t die from love.
When Jose Antonio returns to the hacienda, he reports to Octavio that MC is all cleaned up and pretty. She’s so cheerful she’s almost crazy.  Octavio wonders what’s going on and tells JA to keep an eye on her.
Ramiro, Maria, and Solita have gone to the village.  Solita is at a shop, where she completes her purchase and leaves.  Outside, she runs into Awfelia (actual collision), who takes offense.   Awf knocks the purchases from Solita’s arms, pushes her against a post, and says Ewwsebio belongs to her.  She adds a string of insults, that Solita is a slut just like her sister, plus she’s “challenged.”  Satisfied at tormenting someone who can’t fight back, she leaves, leaving a shaken Solita behind.
A >FF scene with the three strolling through the village.  A newly married couple emerges from a building with their guests—cheers and applause follow.  Music and dancing commence.  Ramiro refuses to dance, so Maria dances like the young folks, demonstrating “Gangham Style” in a patented India Maria moment.  Yeah, you kinda had to be there.
Dark of night and mischief’s afoot.  Maricruz sneaks into the stable to do a moonlight flit with her horse.  She speaks to the horse,  then hears Ewwsebio call out for JA.  She crouches down behind her saddle stacked on a hay bale in an effort to hide.  Eww seems to be influenced by the contents of the bottle he’s holding and he turns around and leaves.  The horse, conveniently wearing a halter with a lead rope, as well as bridle and reins, is easily led from the stall.
Maricruz throws the saddle a bit clumsily over the horse’s back, waiting to fasten it outside.  In the next view, the horse is fully saddled and ready for action (equine equipment details may be inaccurate).   She tells the horse they’ll wait there quietly until morning, when they can ride better than Ester.
In the morning, Jose Antonio opens the door on an empty stall.  He runs to rouse Ewwsebio and fingers MariCruz as the thief.  Ewwsebio, still feeling the effects of his nocturnal binge, rushes to tell the breakfasting brothers about the missing horse.  They listen and run from table to stable, where Miguel decides to call the police.
Maricruz is back at the hut, in a lively discussion with Grandpa on the ethics of horse confiscation as part of “happy MC.”   She carries the saddle behind the hut, where Solita is brushing the horse.  Jose Antonio arrives shouting, accusing MC of horse stealing.  She heaves the saddle on horse’s back, showing a defiant face to her friend.  Jose Antonio’s efforts at persuasion hit a brick wall, as MC argues her rights and says Ester can ride a broom.  JA gives up and returns to the ranch.  Maria arrives, says Octavio has gone riding.  She learns MC has the missing horse.
The two handsome single guys are mounted on handsome horses as they enjoy some idle chatter.  MC gallops by on her horse, calling out “Adios Octavio!”  Octavio does a double take and tells Eduardo “That’s MariCruz!”  Eduardo watches with bemusement as MC turns and rides back in front of them.  Octavio, sure that MC will be hurt, heads out in pursuit of his errant wife and his errant horse. They race madly, her face expressing joy and his showing grim intention.

Tomorrow’s previews :
MC, as she dismounts, throws Octavio the reins and stalks away, switching her abbreviated skirt with each step.  (Take that, Estupido!)
Don Alejandro  walks with a cane from his limo to the gambling ship moored at the dock.
The police come to the hut to take Calamity MC into custody.

La Paloma:

Can't wait for your take on this epi. I am just glad Maricruz took the horse, but it will be bad for her.

La Paloma:

Thank you so much for this wonderfully, funny recap. I so enjoyed your name for MC Calamity Jane, lol.

I like this new Maricruz, after she was done crying. I like that she is standing up for herself. I think she should take Abue's advice and go visit her PaPa. The heck with Octavio.

Although I have to give Octavio credit for trying to legally take care of her. I don't think she will accept anything from him.

And don't we just know that Miguel and the two evil snakes would screw Maricruz out of anything she got from Octavio. It would be over Lucia's dead body.

I really thought Eww-sebio would see Mari, but he didn't thank goodness! Awwfelia and Ewww-sebio need to be hit with the same anvil. I can't stand them.

I liked that Maricruz too the horse and rode in front of Tav and Ed, it was too funny, but just like her free spirited self. Too bad Miguel called the law on her. I hope she doesn't end up in the hoosegow!

Loved your title by the way : )

Good job Paloma, I think I'm going to watch this horse riding scene for my self, get back later

Many thanks Paloma. Another night of hit and miss watching since I was trying to make dinner and watch...doesn't work. Need to catch the horse riding later.

Glad to see a new and slightly improved MC because those whining scenes, which unfortunately were the ones I was able to catch, were aggravating. But we know at this point, nothing is going to work right for her since she needs to be driven out and go find her daddy-dearest.

And another cute guy! And one that will be sticking around. Welcome Ed.

Interesting Tav doesn't think divorce, but only taking care MC has resources before he leaves. The brain cells are slightly firing with him insisting on making it legal, but viewerville knows that won't work in the short term. Would be funny that the are of land he deeds to her will eventually be found to valuable...maybe there's gold in them there hills?

So well-written, La Paloma. Completely missed the episode as my own horse ('94 Honda) needed to be rescued after the mechanics replaced the oil pan. Maintenance, maintenance!

Loved your headings and how you organized the recap. Favorite lines:

"can't quite reach Jorge Salinas' level of puppy-doggery." and

"(Some viewers may wish for the same condition.)"

Sorry to have missed the arrival of a new hunk though.Wow, we have three now. Excellent.

And won't get to see tonight either, but will rely on the fine recapping team to keep me up to speed.

Gracias la Paloma

My prayers have been answered, finally Eduardo & he's looking mighty fine.

The actress playing Solita is doing a good job w/o even a word. Great expression.

Vivi, of the elephant size memory, pls jog my memory about the actress playing Aracely. I remember her face but I just can't remember Consuelo's part in LQNPA.

La Paloma this was a most excellent recap.

I loved happy, carefree Maricruz (even if she's just faking it for now). Glad that Abuelo finally gave her some good advice. The final scene as she rode back and forth on the horse, hair flowing free, was a hoot. Gringo- she truly looked like a goddess or a wood nymph. I'm sure Eduardo (ay papi)! was impressed.

Variopinta- Michelle R./Aracely has been in LQNPA (Consuelo the maid who was the god daughter of the Ana Martin character); CME (Pricilla, Carlos's ex girlfriend who was also a wine making expert); Corazon Salvaje (one of the three dancing prostitutes who falls in love with the Luis Gatica fisherman character); and Guapos (one of the maids and Mili's friend).

Variopinta- ITA that the Solita actress is doing so much with her expressions without even a word, without overdoing it. She has been visibly depressed and sad since the rape, and her apprehension as she walked through the town (expecting to either be attacked by Ewsebio or Awfelia) was palpable. I wish they would try harder to find out what's wrong with her, or that one of the many town gossips would tell Abuelo or even Maria or Santa, that they have seen Eeww and Awful bugging her. What's wrong with the people in this dinky town?! They won't even raise a finger to protect the most vulnerable person in their town.

I have to admit I busted out laughing when Maria started to do gangnam style. I did NOT expect that.

In LQNPA Consuelo was in love with Efrain until she found out that he was getting it on with Cinthia. She dumped him.

She did get a consolation prize though: Hunky Hugo.

La Paloma awesome recap. You had me in stitches. MC Calamity Jane, Quasimodo Tob... Too funny. He really does look like Quasimodo. I don't get Octavio. Divorcing MC will also make things legal? It's obvious he doesn't love her. Giving her a house and land would be the right thing to do. Divorce settlement. Selfish guy, he wants her available for his carnal pleasures. I don't like him anymore, even if his brain cells are beginning to warm up. Miguel is a trip. He wonders why his wife hates MC, and then turns around and stabs Octavio in the back. What is little parcel of land and small house going to cost him? I hope Ed will be a positive influence. Can't wait till they get what's coming to them.

Olive

Great recap, La Paloma.

I especially loved the line "can't quite reach Jorge Salinas' level of puppy-doggery." (made me sigh, as Ana Brenda Contreras and Jorge Salinas in LQNPA are my all-time favorite novela couple, and I have seen many novelas.)

Paloma, this is great. Chock full of hilarious stuff. My favorite introduction:

"Hombre de fuego/hawt guy alert!!"

I've been puzzling over whom this Eduardo is that everyone is so breathlessly awaiting... it's Rodolfo.

Last night it dawned on me whom Ramiro has been reminding me of... tonight, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN CLOSELY AS HE SPEAKS... IT'S MARGARO (the annoying munchkin from LQNPA). You'll not be pleased that I pointed this out, but you'll see that I'm right.

Carlos

Thanks La Paloma, I know I said this last time, but your writing style reminds me so much of Paquita Del Bario's. And I loved her recaps.

I might just have to watch this one to see the horse scene, our new hunk, and Quasimodo.

How will Octavio buy or build MC a house when he can't buy her clothes? The way he's preparing things before he leaves almost makes me wonder if he ends up dying. I know he doesn't from the synopsis, but that's usually what happens.

La Paloma, thanks for the great recap.

I LOL watching MC doing her version of Lady Godiva.

Do you suppose that gangman style dance is really India Maria style dance. She has been around forever and always does some sort of dance.

OMG, I loved Eduardo shirt.

I envy Solita. I wish I had not been able to hear all that venom Awwfelia was spewing.

Hopefully, tonight MC will start her search for her father.

Rosemary Primera

Rosemary Primera,
I loved Eduardo's shirt, too. Those vertical ombre stripes were unusual and striking.

I realized I referred to "two single guys" in that scene. I know Octavio is married, he just has a single guy's heart.

This comment has been removed by the author.

Lady Godiva came to my mind also, white horse & MC has enough hair to pull it off.

I'm beginning to visualize Consuelo.
Tks Sue & Vivi, after awhile all the TN's run together. I only saw Michelle Ramaglia in LQNPA

Cliche #12, town gossips tell everyone but the right people

Cliche # 8 Girlfriend of town scum blames his victim of making moves on her novio

Doesn't Awfelia know that Solita is deaf? Poor Solita only saw her mouth moving but had no idea what was coming out of it.

La Paloma, absolutely greatest comment:"he can't reach Jorge Salinas' level of puppy doggery."

Jarifa

checked out the horseriding scene, that was great, I wonder if Ana Brenda can ride a horse that good or she had a body double for that..

have you seen Lucia's face when Oct presented his idea to give MC some land and house and she inherits everithing in case something happened with him? I thought she might get an apoplexy right then and there

I'm sure she's already plotting how she gonna take everything from MC as soon as Oct out of sight..

by the way, Alegria today the google translate worked with the Univis . video, thx so much!

Thank you La Paloma---What a great recap. There were so many favorite
lines that if I wrote them all down
there wouldn't be room for anyone else to comment. If your recap was a book, I'd buy it at any price.

Two that I really, really liked was
#1 my very favorite---as MC argues
her rights and says Ester can ride a bromm. That's roll on the floor laughter. OMG!! I'm still laughing.

#2 comment---Ewwsebio seems to be influenced by the contents of the bottle he's holding. LOL!! I've never heard "drunk" described quite that way. Still laughing at that one too.

Maria was a hoot last night-Gangnam
style. I like her!!!

Yes I agree, the Solita actress is
spot on--doing a great job.
I was thinking last night, the fear
she must have felt, I mean with a out of control woman screaming right in your face and knocking your things down. Awful-felia is the only name for her. She deserves
EWWsebio.

Doris---gold in them there hills? could be.

Carlos---Now that was a BEAUTIFUL
scene last night. The goddess on a galloping steed. WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!

The beginning last night was very hard for me. A goddess should never have to cry. As the show went on, things seemed to get a little better and then she took the horse. I was trying to tell her, NO! Maricruz NO! Do you want to spend the next ten years of your life in jail for stealing a horse? She wouldn't listen and now the police are at her door. Oh No!
I hope that Octavio steps in, but then there's Evil Eyes, you know that she will get involved and try to get Maricruc locked up. Can't wait until tonight.

One last thing---Now Mari knows that she has a rich father and she wants to go look for him. Where is she going to get the money for that adventure?
the gringo

Excellent recap La Paloma. Loved the reference to those infamous puppy dog eyes from LQNPA. I just finished that novela a few weeks ago.

Tav makes no sense. Y not divorce MC if you plan on never returning? At least he is gonna try and get her a house and some land and he is not leaving her completely broke.

Miguel also does not make any sense. One minute he is berating Lucia for hating MC so much, then giving her food and such. But when Tav wants to build a house and give her some land he gets all mad. Its not all his land anyway.

Terrific recap, La Paloma. It was done with the appropriate small amount of seriousness sprinkled in amongst all the snarky hilarity. Your style does recommend you to higher aspirations!

Aaaaaaahhh, those puppy dog eyes of Rogelio. He's not really getting to exercise those facial muscles very much over on QBA. Lastima, what a waste of a beautiful face--hair, eyes, dimples and oh, those perfectly shaped lips. Mmmwwa!

Lady Godiva--good one! I'd say Ana Brenda is a pretty good rider and doing the shots herself. I did wonder when she first saddled the horse in the stable whether she was going to cinch the saddle and adjust the stirrups--it all takes time and she didn't have much of it. I was afraid she'd try to mount it and have her and the saddle fall off. I also wondered why there was no blanket between horse and saddle. We need someone from Tamaulipas to tell us if this is normal there.

I don't think Octavio has completely rejected the idea of a divorce. Now that Eddie-Hawt-Guy is on the scene and giving *single-guy* advice, Octo may listen. It would actually be less cruel to do that to MC. But he should still build the house for *her* (although she will be long gone) and give them title to a portion of the land.

I was under the impression that the shack was already on Gramp's property.

It will probably be Eddie-Hawt-Guy who ponies up the money for the lumber and nails for the new shack.

I remember when we first had a Ricardo Franco Hawt-Guy's sighting. It was in Mi Peccado. The camera lingered a little too long on his face in a crowd of Lorena's admirers and then it was confirmed that he had a storyline to follow. He was Lorena's (Altair Jaibo) old boyfriend Miguel, who she tries to use against Lucrecia. We loved him in AB.

Thanks, Paloma. I think that the actress playing Awfelia has this type of vicious, nasty character down to a science. I believe that she played Gabriel Soto's bratty sister in a novela. Was it La Fuerza ? I, too, was thinking that Solita was lucky not being able to hear Awfelia's awful tirade and also MC's moaning and whining and Abuelo's pontificating. India Maria has some moves, n'est-ce pas ?

When I see MC in one of her' 'dresses'' [????]',the term ''gunnysack'' flashes in my brain.

irisz 79, it's great, that today everything works.
About divorce. I think Octavio didn't want to complicate things more. Now Maricruz dont want anything from her husband. So if she heard the word "divorce", who knows how she will react.
And may be very deep in his heart he still wants her to be his wife. And I'm not talking about sex.
Alegria

Susanlynn- Yes, she was Camilo's and Antolin's (ay papi!) sister in LFDD.

Knowing at least you need a cinch so the saddle doesn't slip, I looked up how to saddle a horse. Well she didn't do much of what she should have done so good thing she didn't get on.

And Mrs Mejia thought we wouldn't notice.

Here are instructions in case you want to steal a horse

http://www.cowboyway.com/HowTo/SaddleAHorse.htm

HA~~~~Varopinta~~We can learn so many new skills through caraycaray...even tips on horse stealing !!!

I want to add that dialog between Mari and Octavio made me cry. May be for the first time she was so adult. It was so sad to here that noone never gave her jewelry. She so ignorant and that is why noone love her. She's right. When Octavio proposed to her, he promised to present her jewerly, dresses, shoes. He promised, that she will change. And all this were only words and now he wants to leave her, becouse she is as ignorant as she was at the first day. And sooo sad, that Octavio even don't realize how he hurt her. She is not so stupid as he thinks. She understands much more than he think.
Alegria

gringo,

last night I came across a movie on Cinelatino called Divina Confusión which had a lot of familiar faces in it, including Maricruz and Alma (PEAM). It is about bored Greek gods and goddesses deciding to spend a little time in DF. Ana Brenda didn't play a goddess but she certainly looked like one.

Carlos

Carlos: recognized Aaron from AB, too. Really like Blanca Soto as a brunette.

I think Blanca Soto looks so much prettier with dark hair, she has beautiful eyes & the dark hair contrast brings them out.

How was Blanca's acting? Never mind, forget I asked.

OMG Carlos. Every single actor in that is a tn favorite. I wonder if it's on Netflix.

Аna Brenda acted like goddes in this movie. She got premio for this film.
Alegria

Divina Confusion is available at Amazon. Cheap!

While Miguel's behavior doesn't seem to make any sense, I have seen inheritance and ownership issues play out through the eyes of a friend whose ex-husband fought over this with his brother. Trust me, this is real especially when there is a greed monster in the picture.

Vivi, Gringo, Susanlynn liked Maria's "Gangham Style" moves. She cracked me up when she did that! Way to stay current, Maria! Her antics in this TN are really no crazier than some of Patricia Reyes Spindola's stuff in FELS.

Anita, you suggested higher aspirations for me. Thanks so much, but since I'm retired, I've already reached my goal!

Alegria, I agree about the conversation between octavio and maricruz. It was quite sad seeing her make her own necklace while she compared it to what lucia and ester have. Seems to me that she acts and looks the way she does partially as a defense mechanism.

Also, gotta say that JA seems too sweet for words. To me he always has a funny confused face when talking to maricruz. Methinks that MC calamity jane is too much for him

Tks for the great recap! also was making dinner so missed a couple of details.

And too true about having to be there while la India Maria danced, haha too funny. Still weird about her being in a tn but at least she's comedic (at least to me)

jlk

I feel for Maricruz, if anyone would just teach/help her she would learn. She really loves Octavio and would go out of her way to behave in order to please him, look at how quickly she learned to ride a horse! I hope she finds her rich daddy soon, girl deserves some nice clothes, an education and lots of love!

This was great! There were quite a few lines that struck my funny bone-- and forgive my odd sense of humor if it shows. Here are just a few:

"She’s doing a pity party the best she knows and lacks the resources to lie in bed or on the couch, surrounded by crumpled tissues and magazines, the TV on in the background and an empty ice cream carton on the floor.  At least she has a monkey for company."

"Octavio makes a pouty mouth and tries for sad eyes, but can’t quite reach Jorge Salinas’ level of puppy-doggery."

"while Moctavio watches from his perch on a tree trunk, apparently indifferent to the drama"

"The cow’s head is between our geriatric couple much of the time, but no bovine opinion is heard."

"Octavio continues to confide his problems to his new life coach."

Hot bod alerts went off all throughout Viewerville when Eduardo made his presence known. Hotdiggitydamn! Too bad the character has his beautiful head up his beaudacious backside. Ah well.....

Thanks, Jardinera. I enjoy this TN because it's a great mix of heartfelt yearning and wacky shenanigans. I want to hug Maricruz with one arm and slap her with the other.

ha ha ha, La Paloma. That last comment about hugging and slapping was hilarious.
