PEAM # 59- 5/30/13- On Christmas Eve- My True Love Gave to Me- Seven TV Novelas, Four Facial Expressions, One Romantic Letter and Thought Bubbles of You Kissing Me.

Good evening,
It feels like July in the northeast, so welcome to Christmas in July.

The 3 Stupids do a stupid Merry Christmas dance. It reminds me of the Three Stooges.  Jesus gives Alma a guardian angel that he made from origami.  She must never forget that she is his guardian angel.  Jesus is just a jack-of-all-trades. Jesus will spend Christmas Eve at the Ice Castle and Alma will stay with her dad at the hospital.  They exchange a loving Christmas hug.
We get to see holiday scenery and hear Christmas songs; it’s a nice touch.

Jesus has a giant gift box from Alma.  He thought bubbles back to his hug after giving Alma her gift.   Wow!!!  She gave him a microwave.  It will warm everything up in the house.

More Christmas scenery and songs.

At Chatita’s newly furnished apartment thanks to a credit card.  She got a refrigerator, stove, table, chairs, couch, etc.  Why didn’t she get a flat screen TV?  Just saying??? And she can pay monthly without interest.  (All that- how many months are we talking about??) It seemed like some type of advertisement for a particular store because certain parts were bleeped out.  Panfilo would have loved to come with her but he is sure that he wouldn’t get credit.  Chatita tells him to get healthy first, and the rest will come. Panfilo and Marisela will celebrate Christmas Eve there.  A plate goes by and it doesn’t look like Chatita is serving meatloaf.

At The Cardenas, excuse me- Oliverio"s, we meet his mother who seems quite elegant, classy and looks younger than her son. After dinner he is going to introduce Jessica to his girlfriends.  Hmmmm!!!
Chatita notices that Jesus is practically flying.  He is excited; this is his first Christmas with his daughter.  It doesn’t get any better than that.
Before he leaves Chatita will heat up the dinner. She goes over the menu- romeritos- (a rosemary spiced dish) turkey, tamales, goat, cod fish- (bacalo)  and bunuelo- dessert- yummy. Jesus reminds Panfilo to watch what he is eating due to his diabetes.
Jesus is very thankful to have Chatita in his life.  She is like a mother to him and he is like a son to her.  Christmas is a time to rekindle love and Panfilo wishes that Christmas would come daily as he hugs his ungrateful daughter.  They all give each other a group Christmas hug.
Jesus has a gift, to cover her and to let her know that he will be there to protect her.  He gives Chatita- a chalina- a scarf??? No, it looks like a jacket. I’m confused because I’m not sure why she would need something so heavy.

The Ice Castle is decked out in excessive holiday splendor.  There is a card from The Ice Princess and Valentina in a pail with what seems like hudreds of lollipops.
Romelio, the only taxi driver in Monterrey gives Jesus a lift to the Ice Castle.  He is then going straight home to his wife and kids.  He has two boys.  A six year old and a four-year.  Jesus can’t believe it.  He looks too young to have children.  Hmmm, I don’t agree.  He initially was annoying but he is growing on me.  Jesus compliments the Ice Princess, and she tells him to close his mouth because he will catch flies.  He just gave her a compliment I didn’t see him ogling her but she sure was ogling him.

At the hospital Alma gives Rogue a watch.  She didn’t have much tine to shop. (A watch, she can shop for me anytime!!) He gives her a jewelry box like her mother had, thanks to Sebastian.  Alma is touched with emotion.  Rogue looks worried.  Oh he is just worried about his lost money oh, excuse me, about her father. - Liar!!!!!

Jesus gives The Ice Princess his child support payment; he gives his word and keeps it. What a man!! The Ice Princess looks like she is warm and tingly inside.  She is melting!!!! Valentina received enough gifts to fill up a toy store, thanks to Elias.  Did he get a pay advance??? He just got his job back.  I want to work there!!  Jesus puts his lone gift under the tree.   I get it that Elias loves Valentina but so many gifts.  Jesus feels overwhelmed.

Valentina and Elias spend some quality time in her room talking about Santa’s gifts.  (She is adorable and deserves everything under that tree). She has been a good girl and received good grades.  But she is just  so lovable, I can’t say it enough.

The Ice Princess and Jesus share shots of tequila.  Tequila at the Ice Castle, why yes, she bought it for the him for the holidays. MMMM- The Ice Princess made a tasty meatloaf that Jesus will love.  Meat, The Ice Princess is mellllllttting! While she talks- Jesus thought bubbles to when he was with Alma and how their love. The heart commands the love not the person.  He does not share with The Ice Princess, who or what he is thinking about.

Rogue gives, Sebastian 2 ties and Alma steps into the bathroom.  Sebastian shares with Rogue that he knows about Patymelt and that he warned her to stay away from him. And he better stay away from her.   His daughter better not get hurt, because all he cares about is her happiness. Rogue’s eyes were as large as saucers. No problem, sir, I have it under control, sir, YEAH RIGHT!!!  Alma thought bubbles abut her kiss with Jesus at the Pre Cana classes as she holds her paper angel.  She must forget what she feels for Jesus.  Forget about the kisses!  Hey, snap out it!!!

At last- we go down to the dungeon- to see- Oliverio’s special place-Jessica is blindfolded.  Jessica is brave and daring.  I am not going anywhere blindfolded , especially in a new setting, down the steps and being quiet about it! He locked her in the room and uncovers her blindfold.  Jessica is looking around while Mommy knocks on the door.  We see seven antique TVs.  His great loves!!!

Dr. Marta is at the Ice Castle for Christmas Eve, she puts her gifts under the tree and Jesus asks her about Val overhearing the latest argument between Elias and Icy. The Doc and Jesus share an exchange about Valentina and the effects of divorce on her.  Is the divorce  a done deal?? On Icy’s part it is. Elias runs into the room and interrupts; he kisses the doctor and addresses her as Marta and then greets Jesus, it’s a very uncomfortable exchange.  Jesus has expression number #70- the hmm- que the heck is going on here between you two?

Awww- the other opening L

At Xochy’s, she is screeching about the turkey.  Mom is grumpy and Xochy asks her, why can she be good on Christmas Eve.  It sounds better in Spanish. The turkey looks delicious.  The doorbell rings.  Could it be that papi chulo, Jesus?  Mommy is hoping that it is. No, it’s Santa Claus.  Mommy sent a warning, if it’s that pencil pusher from her job, he can go down another chimney.

No, Jessica, they are not just any TVs, they represent his favorite telenovelas.  He and his mommy enjoy watching them together.- There’s RIna from a very old novela, and then there is Rosa Salvaje, Simplemente Maria (one of my favorites) and Teresa.  She is bad and scares him.  On the other side there is one missing and the techie can’t seem to fix it.  Its called Rubi, and it’s spoiled and comes on whenever it feels like.  He will change the name when he gets it back to The Strange Return of Dianna Salazar.  Jessica likes his girls and it brings back memories. Mommy is hungry.  Mommy likes Jessica’s smile.  She likes Jessica and is glad that she came over for Christmas Eve.  When they leave all of the TVs come on.  Creepy!s

At Xochy’s her mommy is not pleased with the Santa costume, it’s not Mexican.  Xochy reminds her that Santa Claus is a German image. No wonder this woman is alone.  She tells Julio to take his flowers and his Santa costume and beat it. If Julio leaves so does Xochy.  Run, Xochy run.  Mommy tells her if she sets one foot out of the door she is not to return.  Well, Xochy set her straight; she pays the rent and will not be prohibited entry to her apartment.  Mommy has a temper tantrum and enjoys Christmas Eve alone and in tears.

Susana sadly prays and confesses that she loves Sebastian but married a man that she hasn’t loved in years.  What is she going to with her feelings for Sebastian?  The guilt is eating at her.

Little Valentina is ecstatic!!
Wow, look at all of these gifts.  Jesus has expression # 71- Humph, really, Elias you are a jerk. Just wait until I hit lotto!!

Julio feels bad and tells Xochy to forget about Jesus and her mother and have some fun.  He starts dancing and entertaining everyone at the bar.  He is doing some type of whale movements and does the split.  The man is limber. Xochy takes off her glasses and stiffly joins in.

Elias is filming everything.  Val reaches for Jesus’ gift. Just what she wanted- Jesus has expression # 72- Who’s the man now?? The Queen and the Helper dolls, just like in your stories.  She starts telling the story.  She loves that gift and The Ice Princess is not too happy listening to the storyline.  Elias has stopped filming to listen, hmm, does he feel silly now???  The dolls kiss and expression # 73- whoops, heehee!

At the hospital cafeteria- Alma knows that it must be difficult for Rogue, first the wedding is cancelled and then they have to spend Christmas Eve at the hospital, Rogue is just so happy to spend Christmas Eve with Alma. This is where he fell in love with her (I didn’t hear her reciprocate), when her dad had his first heart attack. Pleeeezzzzz!!! He can’t believe that two hospitals could be so romantic.  His phone rings who could it be???  Really??? It’s from an unknown number!!  Surprise, it’s Patymelt who is crying her heart out because she is alone on Christmas Eve. I want that make up because there is no mascara running with the crocodile tears.   Listen Missy, when you are a sidepiece, you will spend holidays alone!!.  That’s the deal. It’s the worst Christmas of her life.  I think that Miss Karma is reminding her who is boss- good!!  Rogue lies and says that its Saint Ferny crying over Discua.  Alma is shocked that Ferny is in love with anyone.  Rogue is just so worried about his brother because Discua is manipulating him and he wants to marry her.  She corrects Rogue on Discua’s name pronunciation.

Saint Ferny fell asleep on the grass waiting for Discua.  I am feeling just a little sorry for this jackass because I think that he is trying to change.  She sees him.  Break to commercial.

At Chatita’s- everything looks delicious- the codfish is making my mouth water.  Panfilo is thankful that Chatita thinks about his health.  Marisela is thought bubbling about Elias and their one-way kiss, while Chatita asks her if she likes the food.  Ricardo comes to visit Marisela who acts like a fool and runs to the door and talks to him outside.  Chatita can’t remember the name of who knocked at the door.

Discua won't give The Saint another chance because he doesn’t deserve one.  He explains that Jessica came to his place to seduce him, he didn’t do anything wrong and Discua was able to stop it. It was a trick that his brother initiated. Discua doesn’t want to hear it and wants to go far away from him. Where is her light??

Marisela tells Ricardo that Chatita is entertaining her boyfriend and that’s why she didn’t invite him in.  He doesn’t have much money but wanted to give her and Marisela a gift, and  to wish her Merry Christmas.   He hopes that she likes it.  Marisela tells herself that she deserves more that poor little Ricardo.  Ricardo writes a letter that lets her know that he wanted to buy her something at her level but he couldn’t so he wrote a letter to her on a special night. Christmas is a time of rebirth, peace and harmony. He went on to say that he loves her unconditionally; he adores her and will make her happy.  A married man will not make her as happy as her would even though he has more money than him. The idiot Marisela crumples up the letter and then starts thinking.  Seriously- Marisela-Elias- is just not that into you, sorry.

Valentina is tired and wants her dads to tuck her in.  Jesus has facial expression # 74- hahaha!

Alma is still thought bubbling.  This time is about when Jesus says that he is not going to her wedding.  Alma is trying to convince herself that she will marry Rogue and be happy at his side.

Dr. Mart wants to speak to Icy.  The good doctor cannot give therapy to Icy; she wants to concentrate on Valentina.  Vero has a tantrum.  She wants Dr. Marta!!!  Dr. Marta just can’t stop seeing her, period!  She needs her!!!!

Discua is going to India to a Buddhist convent!!  She will be in contact with the light.  Saint Ferny grabs Discua. A police officer tells him to let her go.  The police officer holds Ferny as she walks away.  (Okay Discua, what ever happened to forgiveness, you are very hard nosed for someone who is supposed to see the light.  She is unforgiving and that bothers me.)

Coming attractions-Revenge- Rogue is going to pay.  Jesus tells Patymelt that he can’t forget his love for  Alma.  Rogue damns the day that Jesus appeared in his life Jesus meets with the agent who needs information about the new warehouse location where they found the money and I guess that the Grinch has taken over Christmas.

Howdy all,

I do need a sub for next Thursday. Any takers, please.

Excellent recap!

Esta noche es noche buena y mañana navidad!

What we saw was another commercial for the furniture store FAMSA (the one whose Logo has been pixelated when we see Valentina hugging meloso during the intro). We will see another one later on, when Verónica places a bucket full of Payaso lollipops, when according to my memory, in that house candy was not allowed. Or coffee, or meat, or alcohol, juárever...

First we hear CAMPANA SOBRE CAMPANA and later on LA MARIMORENA. For some reason the one with the drinking fish in the river is the favorite and they play it more often.

I am happy to see Mrs Tixou as Genoveva, Oliverio's mom.

I think I saw something furry (Attention Peta!) as a gift to Chatita. He said chalina (but chalina is something lacey to cover your head while praying) so I think it is more like a little coat or a sweater. Angora maybe?

Valentina shouldn't have been allowed to open the gifts before Santa ''arrived through the chimney at midnight''. She should have opened them early next morning...
Besides, why was she jumping so much and so excited? Is it too much candy? Payaso kicking in?

Sebastian actually needed whitening toothpaste and a new hair implant, but juárever, two ties will do!!

Between all this flashbacks and all those fantasy thoughts, is there any room left for the story to move on?

Rogelio is not kissing Alma often enough. She will never be able to erase Jesús kisses from her memory because those are the only ones she has received lately... and very often!! How can you forget something like that?

The thing with the televisions and the TN was totally unexpected to me. I am glad they mislead us even tnoight when Oliverio was about to take Jéssica's blindfold off, getting closer and closer like he was going to choke her... Nice surprise...

After Rina, Rosa salvaje, Simplemente María, Teresa y Rubí/Diana Salazar, I got a glimpse of Victoria, Juana Iris and Bianca Vidal...

I liked the new Xóchitl, who besides cooking, stand up to her mother. That turkey with pineapple and cherries looked more like a cake, but that didn't stop mother from wasting it on the floor!!

Chatita also had a chicken with strawberries. I wonder if that's another family tradition like the chestnuts...

Then the Hospital's cafeteria... C'mon! With the chef and everything!! I am sure that specific Hospital doesn't have a cafeteria like that. Maybe not even the more expensive ones do...
That Hospital is for hard working people who die on the spot because doctors and nurses are negligent and use the same aspirin based medicine for everything!! And I know because I used to go there as a patient. I don't know why Osorio wants to alter the reality so much!

With all the money Sebastian had back then when he was young and a cheater, why did he end up in this Hospital anyway? I mean, he was broke but Rogelio was covering all his expenses, why Rogelio didn't take him to another place in their economic level? In this case, more expensive means better service!!

You're right. Patricia shouldn't be complaining. I can almost hear the Jerry Springer headline: Help! My lover is cheating on me with his wife!!

Did Discua wink? I think I missed it.

TJ:

Thanks so much for this wonderful recap.

I loved your line about the Ice Queen Melting, it brought back images of the Wizard of Oz's Wicked Witch of the West that was melting when the house hit her, lol. Vero even got tequila for Chucho, who knew, lol.

What Ricardo and Cardenas did was so sweet. Inviting Jess to meet his mother and Ricardo writing such a sweet letter. Also that nice visit of Julio to Xochi, how sweet was that? Too bad Maricela was so rude and Xochi's mother was rude also. I think what Xochi made was actually a ham, with pineapple and cherries. Too bad it ended up on the floor. I love bacala! I had it in Italy at Christmas and it's wonderful!

Rogue gets his future FIL a couple of ties??? Really???? How cheap, but then again he did lose all that money at the bodega.

Patymelt is getting exactly what Karma dished out to her, and had to laugh at Pablo's remark about the Jerry Springer, lol.

Yes, Bisqua, Disco, er Discua did wink at Ferny as she was telling him goodbye just before she walked off. I wonder if this is the last we will see of her?

Those Christmas lights are Vero's were eye closing. I swear I couldn't look at them too many of them moved in opposite directions. It would give you brain freeze to keep looking at them.

I am so glad that Valentina loved Chucho's present and the story she told, take that Elias! He way over spent and I too wonder where he got all the money for these presents. I am glad too that Marta cut ties with Vero as far as the therapy for her goes. But we know why she did that, don't we?

Sorry, I meant the Witch that had the water poured on her, not the house landing on the Witched Witch of the East, lol.

Tablet Jefa, GREAT recap! Thanks so much. Madelaine beat me in kudos to your best line: "The Ice Princess is mellllllttting!" But then I will always glom onto anything Wizard of Ozish, best movie ever.

Cardenas's obsession is TVs? TVs? What a funny and unexpected turn of events. A writer with some imagination...who knew?

Pablo, I was wondering which store had been bleeped out. Thanks for the reveal. Believe me, the U.S. has nothing over Mexico when it comes to be big mega-stores.

Thanks again TJ. Your title is one of the all-time greats. I love how you recappers are really playing off one another and continuing the theme with your titles.

Tablet Jefa, thank you for the outstanding recap and the final "Grinch" line. Yes, I agree that Genoveva looks younger than her son. So much so at first glance I was wondering if she were a hidden wife or girlfriend. His obsession was such a big surprise. He was cute. Genoveva was normal. If Jessica isn't turned off by the nerdiness of it all they might work out with Cárdenas.

At least Sebastián let Rogelio have it over Paty. It is still so sad that he isn't thinking of his daughter in the midst of the infidelity. Maybe he is the one who brainwashed her into believing she has to marry Rogelio no matter what. Maybe Rogelio is more like he was in his younger days. Who knows?

Pablo, I first thought the "chalina" was a furry kind of wrap/shawl but I think I saw sleeves. Anyway it looked cozy and warm.

Who knew Xochi was paying the rent? I was glad she finally stood up to her mother. Julio dancing like a dolphin and whale was something else.

All in all a pretty entertaining episode. Let us see what Christmas Day holds!

Jarifa

Such a great recap TJ! What a hodge-podge of celebrations!

Yeah to Xochi finally standing up for herself. I think she should have given her mother some sessions with Dr. Marta. Maybe, just maybe, we are now going to see a new and stronger Xochi. About time. Let the transformation begin.

So, I like Cardie's mother and she seems sweet. But the TV reveal? So it was slightly weird, but I was lost on why we saw all those scenes of welding, etc. Beanie being adjusted...

Anyone else going to be glad not to see the Happy Mansion Christmas scenes. My heart goes to the actors who had to deal with those blasted lights while filming. Felt a little bad for Elias. He's trying way to hard and I think he finally got it that he's not winning this battle. (Or at least I hope so). But dear lord, hopefully this won't send him to the temporary arms of Marisela. Blech on that!

I'm done with Discua. Do not understand her attitude. Hopefully Ferny won't go back to old behavior.

Daisy

Ah Tablet Jefa, the Twelve Days of Christmas will be playing in my head all day, along with Los Peces en el Rio. Still....they're both lovely songs.

Such a sparkling recap and I love how all your recappers are throwing in "Sounds better in Spanish" as a punch line.

My other favorite was:

"If it's that pencil pusher from her job, he can go down another chimney."

Excellent! Although I always hate seeing food thrown to the floor. Chronic housewife anxiety here. Xochi's mom clearly has anger management issues. Perhaps a session or two with Marta might help.

Missed the first 20 minutes of this, so especially appreciative of your witty, well-organized recap. Thanks TJ.

Great re-cap TJ, I was in and out on this episode (Nats vs. Orioles good pitchers dual) but I enjoyed watching all the PEAM divas in their holiday clothes...People in Mexico really get dressed up for Christmas Eve.

Ofcourse Alma was the "plane jane" of them all. Jessy rocked the blue form fitting dress, same as Discua in red, and her "twin" Martha who could have circulation cut off because her dress was so tight.

As for Ferny, he needs to stop begging Discua, he's coming off as a weak man....Eli needs to stop too. Nobody wants a whimpy man.

Thanks, Tablet~~~~Those blinking lights were making me a little dizzy. Every time I see TBLMOE hugging AltaAlma, I wonder what it would be like to run my fingers through that thick, black hair. Attn. Captain Sylvia ~~~I thought of you when I saw the promo on Starz for their new 2014 series ''Black Sails''....PIRATES !!!!!!!

Susanlynn, What? A new series about PIRATES?!? I'll have to check it out. Thanks amiga.

TJ, thanks for letting us spend Noche Buena with all these wacky characters. You were in fine form.

The story didn't move forward one bit, but that's par for the course in American soaps. Everybody stops the feuding around Christmas and they party hardy together.

Cardenas TV novias. I liked how he paired up each tv set with a particular heroine's attributes and personalities. He was talking too fast, but it was oh, so clever. He's melded his loneliness around the female leads in these novelas with the physical sets themselves and entertained himself in a non-perverted way. So, he's a mama's boy, but doesn't have it as bad as Susanito or Rodrigo over on QBA.

I was surprised by the furry thing Jucho gave Chatita. Who needs a fur anything in Monterrey? Pablo? Anyone? Granted old folks feel the cold more, but Chatita is an active older person and carries around her own layers of warmth.

Christmas at Vero's. Every little child's dream. That's how you create the *ME* generation of entitled kids, boost consumerism and help the economy grow. And Vale was expecting even more from Santa the next day?

I'm beginning to like Xochi more. She's lost the whiny, infantile exhibitionist self and becoming a dependable, more self-confident young lady. I would have loved to see Julio strip out of his Santa suit and really treated us to some moves.

Xochi's change can really be laid at Jucho's feet. She realized that a broken heart can at least be patched up (unlike Sebastian's). Has Jucho done *anything* wrong yet, to anybody? I think he's even going to give Rogue a chance to come clean and reform himself -- before he goes to jail, of course.

@Lee Fox--Are you in the DC Metro region? (I was a confirmed fan of the old Senators....) Anyway, Vivi and I are thinking about a reunion of Carayers, well, it would have to be a 1st time union to meet each other sometime in the fall. There are at least 6 of us.

Anita, I am right outside the DMV (D.C. - Maryland - NorthernVa.) in Richmond. I love the Nationals and the Redskins. (Before the Nats, I was an Oriole fan for 40 years.)

There was another blogger here that lived in the Metro Richmond area....but they signed in as anonymous. I am in Henrico Co. they live in Hanover Co. (next door)

Here is my e-mail; leefox201@gmail.com we should all get together at a Nats game...(The new stadium is very nice, and affordable, unlike a Redskin game at FedEx Field)

Thanks, TJ. Wow! Four facial expressions in one episode? This I've got to see!

Boy, am I falling behind on my viewing... I guess I'll be spending half the weekend in front of the TV. (Not technically an antigue... however, I did have an old TV that would sometimes turn itself on or off on really humid days.)

Say, do we know if Chucho ever paid off the debt on his place? A while back the bank said if it wasn't paid down soon they'd kick him out and seize his stuff. I'm sure the bank doesn't care WHO pays it, whether it's Chucho or the real owner, as long as they get the money.

Well... someone told me that a lot of stuff happens that we don't have to know about, like those days gone by and such. As we only see what ''is IMORTANT'' and what makes ''the TN WATCHABLE'', maybe some stuff fall in the cracks... I will take off my beanie and see if I can fill in the blanks with my POWERFUL imagination!!
LOL!

Sorry, My old fingers and keyboard made me skip one letter, no automatic spelling black berry here to blame...

I meant IMPORTANT...

Sorry...
I didn't mean to flood the page with one comment. I will have to blame the Captcha lady, who gave me a new set of words arguing that the previous ones were incorrect... can you believe it? She talking about correctness, when the words she make up can't be used anywhere, well, maybe scrabble, but that's it...

I know what CANTO is, but ''emsivel''?

Thanks, Tablet Jefa! Your recap was more dazzling than Vero's seizure lights! I loved the melting Ice Princess bits.

I'm really enjoying how much they're getting into the holidays. The decorations and music are so much fun. Plus, that food looked DELICIOUS, especially at Chatita's. Although Xochi's ham also looked tasty before Psychomom chucked it on the floor.

The Telenovias bit was entertaining. I didn't see that coming! Jess should really hang out there and watch Teresa--I think she'd find a certain mariachi very appealing!

I also cracked up when Juicy opened the microwave and said "now *everything* in this apartment will be hot!" Yeah, yeah. We all know it; you don't have to flatter yourself ;).

FYI off topic: For any PESE fans: the dvd was released this week and mine just arrived this morning so this mujercita bella will be spending the afternoon with Eva!

Jarifa

Thanks so much TJ. It's a bit strange celebrating Christmas while in the middle of a May heat wave.

Alma's Christmas was just as sad and drab as all her other days. Wish she had gone to Chatita's. Better there than in the hospital cafeteria with Rogue. His present was very sweet though. Way to go Sebastian. Chucho's present was nice too, I guess. But all I kept thinking is that he gave her a paper airplane with a gold ribbon on it. And then he took off the ribbon and it was just a plain white paper airplane! :)

The Telenovias (literally) was a funny surprise. I certainly was not expecting that. Cardenas' mom is very sweet and really likes Jess. That's a really good sign, if anything ever gets started between Jess and Cardenas.

I really thought Biscuit would give in and believe Fern, but maybe this was a limited appearance for Ninel Conde? In any case, I'm annoyed with her.

Yay for Xochi! I hope this is the beginning of many changes to come.

Anita, count me in for the pre-reunion! (We can't re-une until we une, I assume.) I'll be living two hours away in Delaware but would HAPPILY drive up for baseball, tacos, margaritas, or just general snark. NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ME.

Lee Fox, I graduated from Douglas Freeman High School in Richmond.

Thanks for the great recap, TJ! It sounds like a wild episode -- can't wait to watch...

P.S. I can probably sub next Thursday if there are no other takers. You may not want me 2 days in a row, though.

TJ: Loved the recap.

Pablo: my first thought when I was Vale jumping manically on the bed: SUGAR RUSH!!!!
I was thinking the same thing about the hospital, but just assumed they moved him to a nicer one. I remember seeing some clips from that Dianna Salazar TN on the villains special. Looked interesting.

I though Cardenas’ mother was kinda creepy. She reminded me of a villain in a 1970s TV movie that starred Leonard Nimoy and Susan Hampshire (I love SH).

Madelaine: Flaco thinks Discua might not appear again because the actor is really a singer and might be doing concerts. It’s just an opinion, he didn’t actually research it or anything.

Wondered why Chatita would be talking smack that had to be censored. Now I get it. Thanks.

Jarifia: would be interested to know your opinion about the editing on the PESE DVD when your finished watching it.

Nanette

This is what I think:

Since father is getting the attention he needs (yerba mala nunca muere), I wouldn't cancel or postpone the wedding. What I would skip is the honeymoon, for when father is discharged. Anyway, he'll be in the same place when we come back. Right?
Being with him all the time is not going to restore his health, is it?

Nanette, I will be glad to give you my opinion on the editing when I am through. So far all I can say it is "snappy" and moving fast!

Jarifa

Jarifa: I only watched the first few weeks of PESE because I had to move over to AB when it started, but I want to see PESE when it re-airs and I like to get the DVDs in order to relive the experience--if they get good reviews. I have MEPS because it got a good DVD review. I didn't bother with STuD because it's review was bad. CME didn't have any reviews when it first came out--have to check on that one again. Now just waiting for AB and it's reviews.

Blue Lass, it is truely a small world, I grew up in Chesterfield Co,( went to Manchester High School) but lived inside the annexed area, and had to transfer to city schools for my last year, I graduated from Huguenot High School.

Vivi, it's hot here too, but at least we are not getting the severe weather....Yet

Blue Lass, I want you two days in a row!

MA, SHE'S MAKIN EYES AT ME!

Bwahaha!! That did sound a little fresh, didn't it? YA TATTLETALE!! Aw shucks, you know what I mean.

I want you two days in a row too, Blue Lass!

Heh, a united front! Blue Lass two days in a row, so there.

Okay, you're on! I'll take next Thursday and Friday. I may need to call in some chips when I move in a few weeks, anyway, since I don't know how long it will take to get my cable hooked up.

PESE in DVD..bloopers I hope.i am so there ...thanks for sharing! Gertie

But I know you golddiggers are just after my tres melones.

Whaddya expect when you advertise?
