If at first you don't succeed, stalk!
I saved the first half of my re-cap in Outlook and it seems like Outlook might be down? I can't get it to load at all, so discuss the episode while I wait for Outlook to love me again!

The Old Stuff
Maria Alejandra comes home after a long day out, she takes off her shoes (her feet must be so happy!) and when she looks up she finds that she has an unwanted visitor, Karim!
She's just not into you (or your billions)
Majandra (Maria+Alejandra) is not a happy camper, she demands to know how he got into her room and he says that "For Karim closed doors don't exist", to which Majandra replies "and neither do manners", she tells him that her doors are closed to him and he explains that with his influence he managed to get the hotel staff to let him into her room. Majandra is not amused and tells him that he came into her room like a thief and she is going to complain to the administration, she might even sue them! (ha, can you imagine Judge Judy's take on this?!)
Karim, is really calm through Majandras verbal assault and tells her that he tried to call and she was not answering the phone- ah, yes, when someone does not answer the phone instead of leaving a voice mail feel free to break into their home, that way the next time you call they will answer! I will also suggest that Majandra get a Twitter, that way her stalker can always reach her, her Twitter handle should be @Ihateeveryone, sorry, I get distracted! He also explains that he paid a lot of money to get into her room and would she like to have lunch? Yes, what every girl wants, lunch with a guy that has no understanding of the word "no".
Majandra tells him that she has no desire to have lunch with him and he asks why, "never ask a woman her reasons", Karim though really, really, really wants to know why she won't give him the time of day and she informs him that it is because she is not interested in him, he wants to know if there's a chance that she will change her mind and she says "yeah sure, when hell freezes over"- I made that last part up but she does tell him that she won’t change her mind, he suggests that even steel melts when under a strong fire and she says that the feelings of a woman scorned can't be changed. He tells her he can give her jewels, and money, make her super rich but she is not having it! She tells him to stop being such a spoiled brat, and he says that he wants her and won’t give up! Majandra finally tells him that if he does not leave she will, he takes the hint and agrees to go, but not before saying that he has never had a woman reject him, Majandra says that there's a first time for everything.
The clueless Pilots:
Eduardo is complaining to Octavio about being rooster blocked by Maricruz numero 3. She ruined his attempt at getting Aracely to run off to Mexico with him for a few days because she got him to admit that he was not going to marry her, he does not like Majandra because she's a busybody. Skip to a few scenes later and Eduardo and Octavio are discussing women again (don't these guys ever talk about sports or something?) anyhoo, the conversation eventually moves back to Maricruz3 and to Octavio’s interest in her, Ed suggests that Octavio is falling for Majandra and Octavio says nope, he could never fall for the snob! Maybe he's just attracted to her because she looks like Maricruz, Ed says that if he loved Maricruz he would have stayed with her in the ranch, Octavio shuts down this conversation real fast, I guess he hates talking about how he abandoned his poor wife and left without saying good bye, yep, that's something I would want to forget too.
Teobaldo, Aracely-Can this relationship be any more creepy?
Aracely is sitting around the house crying, she's sad because she had to give up her job and because Eduardo has said he does not want to marry her, she wants to go visit her family and Teobaldo reminds her that they agreed she would go to school, she says she doesn’t want to do anything! Eventually the conversation turns to her would be suitor, she loves Ed and Teo is scaring him away, Teo tells her that if Ed is really interested in her he should come and speak to him about his intentions (why? You’re not even a family member, this girl needs to get a job and run away in the middle of the night), and what if Ed does not want to meet with Teo? Well, in that case he will have to pay for all the tears Aracely sheds, okay, that’s not creepy, that’s not creepy at ALL.
End of Part 1-
Clueless Pilots and Raiza
Ed and Octavio make it to the casino, where Raiza joins them, carola doesn’t want her to waste too much time on them because they are always broke and never really leave the casino any money. The three make small talk until Ed leaves to go see his potential booty call, Raiza and Octavio then discuss Majandra- these people need to get out more, get a hobby, adopt a cat, anything to keep them from talking about La Mendoza all the time! Raiza fills Octavio in on La Mendoza and her stalker; she tells him that thus far she has rejected him. Majandra makes her appearance and in a lame attempt to make her jealous Octavio asks Raiza to join him for a drink. Majandra then thought bubbles that she still cares for him but that won’t stop her from seeking sweet, delicious and awesome revenge (I took some editorial liberties here, lol).
Our girl makes a deal
Majandra goes to see Carola and tells her she has a proposal for her, she wants to get 50% of any profit that is made from Karim’s visits to the casino, she wants to get the same percentage for any transaction that she closes. Carola is not happy and lets it be known, but Majandra is no longer our little innocent Maricruz and puts her foot down. If Carola won’t agree to her terms she will take Karim to another casino, and she is sure he will follow her anywhere, Carola tells her she needs time to think about it but our little MA says “no my dear, I want an answer now, make your choice”, Carola caves and agrees, Majandra, savvy lady that she is asks for the agreement to be put down on paper, blondie refuses to do that so our little fire cracker asks to be paid at the end of each night, they both agree to this and our girl takes off.
Later she makes her way back inside the casino where she bumps into Octavio, after a bit of small talk things go straight to hell, Outlook ate my draft and my mind is foggy but I think Octavio said something about women and Majandra asked “so you have a lot of experience with all sorts of different women?” he replied with “yes, but probably not as much as you have with men.”, oh burn! Girl, he just called a whore! She slaps him for his terrible comment and then Tony comes to her rescue. I’ll update this post tonight because the details are iffy in my head and I want to do it justice. Bad Outlook, bad!

I know what you mean Eli. One of the CarayCaray folks that I corresponded with personally, but who was not a native speaker of English, was all set to use that phrase in speech afterwards and I did suggest that it might not be totally advisable. Just a little too graphic for a lady. But she decided she would go for it anyway!

They've seen each other for what, 2 times?" Did I miss the in-between? Yes, he *is* a rata, but MariAle doesn't know that--she's basing it solely on Oblivio and any one who associates with him (and now along comes the Prince, but ni modo, he's made from the same clay). Where does she come off insisting that the only way for a decent guy to court a girl is to immediately make her his novia and get her to the altar.
Ok, rant over. I've had several today.
Loved the reference to guys talking sports--or cars. Is there any other conversation between guys, unless they are actually in a locker room comparing notes?
Oh and another thing. Are those rolling suitcases really the ones used by pilots? I've spent enough time around lawyers to know that's the type of rolling stock they use to take their documents back and forth to court.
I love having to go back and forth between our numerical Maria juarevers.
Where did Maricruz amass her vast catalogue of smart talk, excellent ripostes and snappy repartee? I only saw her doing math and learning to walk in heels. Maybe I missed the Spanish grammar lessons and vocabulary building exercises.

I'm very afraid for MariAle if the Prince gets tired of her rebuffs and rejections and gets into the kidnapping game. Hopefully, MariAle will be able to entertain him as well as Scheherazade did in the 1000 and One Nights, but only to be able to escape.

Gees, I missed these shenanigans last night? My word. I agree Anita--where the blazes did we get Ed ready to marry Are and she's madly in love with him. Cripes, we do move through emotional buildup and lessons very quickly in this TN.

Well, if Karim did try to slip something into her drink, she would know immediately once she felt the effects because she only drinks non-alcoholic drinks. She would know she wasn't just given plain juice. Then again, one of the bodyguards on AV was slipped a mickey in his juice, and still wasn't sure what was happening/had happened to him.

I said before how totally ridiculous that anyone could fall in love so quickly, but they continue to play this farce on TNs. I finally saw the Sheik and OMG! I've never seen a more anglo saxon looking arab in my life. I'll just chalk that up as yet another idiotic point with this show. I won't be surprised in the least if he does kidnap MC. That's what predictable TNs do. And then Octavio will rescue her and she will be indebted to him, yada yada yada.

Cathyx- I think it would take more than rescuing her to get MC/MA to get over her resentment towards Octavio. He's got a LONG way to go till she forgives him. I think we're pretty much done with the victimization of Maricruz. Now she has to learn forgiveness and humility.

Vivi, normally I would agree with you about MC not falling for Oblivio rescuing her, but with this show, it could totally happen. And you think the Sheik is handsome?!? UGH number 2. Sorry, but he is so not galan material.
I will also say that I'm sorry about my attitude. I'm in a bad mood over my internet slowness and my time crunches lately.

Cathyx- LOL! We all have those days. Do you want to know what MC wants to use the money for? You find out in tonight's episode, which I just watched.
I wouldn't give CdlM a galan role, but I think he's quite cute and handsome. His character is a total tool though.
Ok Vivi. I hope it's to start up a business for Areceli so she doesn't fall for a guy she thinks she's in love with and doesn't even know and only met a few days ago and get away from a guy who thinks he's her protector and wants to control her. If anyone needs an intervention, it's Areceli.
Cathyx, Karim is a big spender and leaves a huge profit for the casino, if he drops 50k and she gets half, that's not bad at all for a girl with no skills. Is it bad that during this episode I thought to myself, "I would so marry him just to get season Laker tickets?" does this make me a bad person?
Well, I have to jump in here. The fellow playing the Sheik...this is the best I've ever seen him look. Like the haircut and the Miami Vice 2-day beard. This is the handsomest I've seen him. Quite an improvement. He usually plays goofy but well-meaning nerdy guys. I'm enjoying seeing him as an arrogant macho for a change.
MC's radar for young men looking to use naive young women is working fine, since she experienced it with Tav. But her radar for older, creepy controlling men is malfunctioning because she only has Don Ale (who turned out to be her papa) as a frame of reference. Hence, she thinks Teo being "protective" of Ari, like a big brother, is fine. She doesn't see the creepy side.
Cathyx yes Arecely needs an intervention. Unfortunately Teo is crossing the line with concern but we all know in this case that a broken clock is right twice a day. Ed is so obviously a womanizer it is sad Arecely can't see it.
Eli - LOL you are too funny about the Laker tix.

Laker tickets can cost a pretty penny, the last time my sister and I went to a game we paid over $400.00 for so/so seats. Booo and hiss.
I looked it up. The sheik was also in Las Tontas No Van al Cielo. I don't hear much talk here about that TN. Didn't anyone watch it? I saw it before I knew about Caray Caray.
Cathyx- We watched it, but I don't think any of us were huge fans of it. It was a so so tn, although the story had potential.

That's interesting Vivi. I actually really liked that TN. I loved Jaime Camil and the lead female in that. She's a great actress. Jaime Camil is handsome and funny but he can be a great serious actor too. I wish they would cast him in a TN that can show off all of his skills and range. I would be really into that.
Help! I am in Spain and I am going through withdrawal. Univision is saying that I cannot watch online episodes from my location. Is there any other site besides Univision that will let me see them? Muchas gracias.

And don't make MC a busybody, I mean yes she's right, but you do not go around ppl telling them what is right and what is wrong, let them make their own mistakes and solve their own problems.
