Amores Verdaderos #174 Mon 7/15/13 The drama in the hospital waiting room when a relative is fighting for her life, and the reunion long awaited, we finally peek inside the offices of 'The three Amigos Secret Service'
KenDrat runs into Anyballs and CandyEyeRoll at hospital, she fakes trying to be civilized, there for her daughter yada yada, but Anyballs is not having any. Candy does what she does best, look away every time ANyballs is rude or nasty to anyone in front of her. Then yell 'Anyball!!' Anyballs warns Kendrat to stay away from his granddaughterSSSS. They walk away. KenDrat mumbles sad old hag through her teeth.
At waiting room, JA is desperate silently praying to God not to take away his little sun. Candy and Anyballs come and ask about Lilly. She is still in surgery. Anyballs thinks Lilli is his master work. She can't die or leave like the other granddaughter. He has many plans for her future.
At the institute of Bodyguards owned by the three musketeers, Guzmi and Dances comment about JA, just when life was smiling at him finally, now this tragedy happens. Guzmi is suspicious that it was an attempt to harm or kidnap Lilli. Dances says he will push police to get on the case. Anyballs, like Guzmi thought, is already on the phone with Comm Robles (Hardwood).
Vicky is consoling JA... they comment Adri is very affected with what happened to Lilli. JA says now he understands Adri's anguish more than ever.
Anyballs and Candy in another area of waiting room, He can't wait anylonger, wants to go find doctor. Candy can't move from the agony/guilt. VIcente finally comes out. Lilli survived the surgery but her liver and intestines are very harmed. He says they need to wait 48 hrs to have a better outlook. JA insists to Vicente that Lilli can't die, begs Vic to save her. Vic assures they are doing everything possible. Vic says he understands his anguish, but can't lie saying she will be fine, it all depends how her body responds. JA insists to see her, so Vic has to let him see her.
In another room in hospital, Adri gets up and out of the room despite the warnings of the nurse.
Nil-Brains visits Nikki. (first time he sees her since his return) He feels deflated about not being able to walk without a cane. She tries to cheer him up. He does not need the wheelchair anymore. She assures him she loves and needs him more than ever.
JA is talking to Lilli, who is still out... so fragile, so vulnerable... he feels insignificant in this huge universe, dont know how to help her.... prays to God to give them another chance to get closer. Then tells Lilli if she goes he will be empty, like dead.
Adri comes to desk, Vic is there, so when they tell her he is the surgeon and he turns around, he does not recognize her right away, but she does. Huge stare at each other, then huge embrace. This was lovely... have to say i feel like these two should belong together in the end. She has pains for anguish over Lilli. He tells her the truth, that the next 48 hrs will be key, how she responds. After a while, Adri feels better. He says Lilli's fate is in the hands of God. From their crossing notes, we learn Anyballs not only pushed them apart and sent her away to have her baby, but he also had someone insert drug in Vic's room and had him sentenced to jail. Adri says her dad is evil and a monster. Anyballs had told her that Vic had run away like a coward. Vic tells her that to add insult to injury, Anyballs went to visit him in jail to tell him the baby had died, and that if he tried to get close to Adri ever again he would have them both killed. Adri tells Vic that Anyballs had told her the baby died, but she has recently discovered he lied. There was no baby in the gasket, only stones. They both conclude the baby must still be alive. She tells him about all the attempts to get to the people who were there, but her dad has bought everyone to leave without talking to her. Vic says we will team up to find our daughter. She says she had wanted to look for him but thought he would be married with a family by now, but you are here offering your unconditional help. Vic says it is his duty, lets exchange phone numbers so we will be in contact.
Nil-Brains tells Nikki that the rash on baby Mia was just heat rash. Frankie comes in. Nil-Brains congratulates Frankie about their new business, then stands up and recognizes he was wrong about Frankie, acccusing him of arribista. (Vicky tries to calm JA down, Candy also tries, but he is on a roll) JA insists the only one to blame is 'This one!'. For having paraded her around as a Balvanera. KenDrat gets call from Inepto, (Espanto, but i must say KenDrat herself called him Inepto earlier this week when Lilli was hurt). SHe tells Inepto that Lilli survived the surgery, but she has to hang up because the disabled one should be here any moment. She yells at Inepto on phone just before said disabled walks in asking who she was talking to. He takes the phone from her and questions her on the phone, which he had not seen before. He is waiting for an explanation. SHe plays the offended one, saying no idea who is the guy that called, she tries to convince Nil-Brains she just got that phone number and was explaining to the guy but he insisted, insisted. Nil-Brains asks why she purchased the cell phone. She claims she bought it for Fatima (the babysitter?), she would never use such an ordinary phone herself. But she is short of money. Nil-Brains repeats that all will change soon. KenDrat plays the victim of his distrust when she has dedicated her life to him and their daughter. Nil-Brains bites hook, line and sinker and appologizes. He then mentions that she rejected him last night for first time ever. She claims she was exhausted with the trip and the changes they are going through. HE appologizes again. But his return to Mexico has a particular purpose. But for that, they need to live a bit tight for a while. She sweet talks him again... and again... in the KenDrat signature way... clothes off...
Back at home, Adri goes to Anyballs room to insult him and call him the most despicable dude in the Universe. She is ashamed to be his daughter. She questions what he told her about Vic. Anyballs insists in that being the true story. She rebuttes him with the truth, he still insists she is blabbing. That pobre diablo... THAT POBRE DIABLO... is the surgeon who operated on your granddaughter Lilli. So if she survives, you will owe it to the man you threatened to kill. We talked and he offered his help and we will team up to find our daughter. You make me sick, Anyballs and I despise you as a father! (not sure how to read this facial expression on Anyballs, but since he has done so much harm to his own family, i have to question any possible feelings in him.)
Adri tells Vicky later what happened... Vicky surprised Anyballs denies sending Vic to jail... Adri says our father is a monster. has ruined our lives! I HATE HIM!!... Vicky tries to calm her down. Vicky has no more doubts their father is evil, but is concerned about their babies on the way. Put aside your hate... for now.. i beg you.
JM and Polita are worried about Lilli, ( have to laugh because the CC took her saying that Lilli is a 'creida'(snobbish, bad case of it) and translated it as she is a maid/housekeeper (Criada)) . JM gives Lilli a bit more room, it must be tough to suddenly go from humble to overnight millionaire, you lose your footing!... Polita says wonder if will react same when I become a famous singer celebrity.
JA at hospital with Lilli telling her about his memories of the past with her. HE can't take it anymore, this is the battle she has to win... you HAVE TO WIN!!... Vicky comes in... JA says he talks and talks to Lilli, but she won't respond. Vicky says thank God she survived the night. JA is desperate for Lilli to wake up and move around. Vicky says its only been 12 hours, Doctor said they must wait 48. JA says each hour that passes his angish grows.
At police station, Anyballs gets a report from commander. All the nursery employees passed the lie detector. Anyballs is sure one of them is the traitor who aided in the attack on his granddaughter. He wants to confront them face to face. Just with the stare he will discover who is responsible.
Adri and Nikki at a cafe. Apparently Adri has also brought Nikki up to speed on the story with Vic and Anyballs. Nikki recognizes Vic was always Adri's love. What did you feel to see him again?? Adri can't describe. Nikki guesses like some fireworks inside, Adri says a mix of emotions. And he is divorced with no children. Nikki says he will be the new dad for the baby... Roy is there at hospital to see Lilli. he has to convince the nurse to let him through off hours. He came from NY to see the love of his life. You don't want me to go away without kissing her and telling her how much I love her.
Carlos follows Adri around... he insists in knowing who is the father... Here comes Vic to the rescue, Carlos and Vicente introduce themselves and shake hands, but then Vic is summoned away. Carlos asks Adri if this is THE Vicente, your first boyfriend, your baby's daddy? Yes. Carlos then puts two and two together and immediately asks and he is your new baby's daddy too? Adri does some quick thinking... Yeah, exactly. With that, Carlos takes his leave after wishing her the best. He walks away after saying for a moment he thought the baby might be his, but also reminds her he is a no-commitment dude, call me if you need anything... (he turns away but turns around again to give her a kiss on cheek). Adri tells her baby, you might never see your dad again, but he will never know because he is afraid of commitments.

Vicky says Lilli was so happy and alive when she met her. But when she found out about us, she changed radically. And she feels responsible for their distancing. Vicky tells JA she is willing to sacrifice the most important thing in her life if Lilli gets better. She stands up and swears in front of the virgin that if Lilli recovers, she will separate from him forever. JA is stunned...

sorry this is so late, almost forgot it was Monday night... but it was a good episode... LOVE the reunion scenes ... why can't I find my own Vicente Celorio??!! sweet stare and smile indeed!!

Vicente and Adri, the hand touching, the leaning in toward each other, the longing smiles, sigh! Best meeting after many years scene eva! I can't wait to see what happens with them next. Glad they wrapped up the Yawn/Carlos storyline.
I am so glad that Nikki called Roy. That was very sweet of her. I hope Roy is somehow able to help Lili recover. I liked him sweet talking the nurse.
Poor JA so much pain and anguish and I am so glad he let Anyballs have it! That was so justified and I hated Anyballs' attitude and him pulling Cande away from JA like he had the pox or something! I am glad JA stands up for Lili. Anyballs thinks that just cause Lili is a Balvanera, Anyballs has all the rights to make decisions about her. He never knew Angel.
I hope the previews are right and Cande does spill about Lili/Lucia to Adri. Then Cande will come back to life for me.
Anyballs has no soul! The nerve of this guy. I am glad he did give it to Kendho, but as far as Lili goes, no, not eva! I hope Anyballs is unable to remove Vicente from being Lili's doc. And putting Vicente in prison for drugs, of all things! Anyballs needs the biggest cast iron skillet/huge mega pie cart/anvil embossed with his name on it, eva! Kendho the same, ditto for Espanto!

I'm not surprised he is checking the Ho's phone. No surprise there. I think he knows she is only looking for what she can get out of Nellie. Nellie does love Mia though.

I am so glad that Nikki called Roy. That was very sweet of her. I hope Roy is somehow able to help Lili recover. I liked him sweet talking the nurse.
Poor JA so much pain and anguish and I am so glad he let Anyballs have it! That was so justified and I hated Anyballs' attitude and him pulling Cande away from JA like he had the pox or something! I am glad JA stands up for Lili. Anyballs thinks that just cause Lili is a Balvanera, Anyballs has all the rights to make decisions about her. He never knew Angel.
I hope the previews are right and Cande does spill about Lili/Lucia to Adri. Then Cande will come back to life for me.
Anyballs has no soul! The nerve of this guy. I am glad he did give it to Kendho, but as far as Lili goes, no, not eva! I hope Anyballs is unable to remove Vicente from being Lili's doc. And putting Vicente in prison for drugs, of all things! Anyballs needs the biggest cast iron skillet/huge mega pie cart/anvil embossed with his name on it, eva! Kendho the same, ditto for Espanto!

Marta..Thank you so much for the excellent recap of THE BEST EPISODE SO FAR. Even though I still do not understand much Spanish,I was able to figure out some of the dialogue, such as Vicente being divorced and his ex wife not wanting children. The reunion between Adri and her first love was so sweet. I loved the scenes of these two looking like teens who have found each other again after all these years. However, I was not expecting Carlos to appear or for Adri to lie about. Her baby's daddy. Will she and Vicente REALLY end up together after all the years and tears of separation or will Carlos decide he does want to commit to Adri if he finds out that baby is his ??? Since I married my high school sweetheart, I want Vincent and Adri to be together with their daughter Lili.. I could see sweet Vicente who wants children eagerly accepting the new bebe as his, but Carlos should be told that he is the biological father of that bebe. I wonder how the writers will have this play out. My fingers are crossed for Adri and Vicente together AT LAST...my favorite song...shout out to Etta James!!!,,

Hasn't Vicky learned anything from what has happened to her own family and herself? Does she really think separating herself physically from JA will just 'FIX' the issues between him and Lilli? I would say don't blame it on their relationship. Blame it on the hormones of a 19 yo bratty girl and the fact that her gramps picked the very worst moment to announce to her she is filthy rich.
I was wondering why everyone who visits Lilli in the intensive care room uses the disposable dressing gowns but then they don't use the paper masks over their mouths? Why bother with the face masks if they don't use them?

But then he says all the wrong things as usual about not wanting kids or ties. I don't think he really knows what he wants. He's just been saying he wants no ties for so long, that it's become habit. I like how it's not super clear who Adri will end up with. I think it will be Vicente because the two of them just seemed so natural and at ease with each other. With Carlos, it's always a struggle.
I hope tonight JA nips that stupid "I'll make a bargain with God and separate from you if Lili lives" thing in the bud. Just silly.

Yep, Adri throwing stuff at Anibal's head was fabulous. When she did that, I fantasized her emptying a trash can on his head.
Adriana has GOT to stop being so impulsive!It is actually all her fault that it's taken her so long to find out about her daughter. Every time she gets a little information, she runs to scream at Anibal and threaten him, letting him know exactly where to make his next move to thwart her! If she had waited until she had all the information from the detective Guzman recommended, Anibal never would've known what hit him and he (and possibly Cande) would now be in jail. Now she just put Vicente in jeopardy! Adri, Adri, Adri ... SMH.

This was such a sweet episode with Adriana and Vicente's reunion. I have to give it to this telenovela, they truly did justice to that scene, it had the right level of emotion without going overboard like it tends to happen in other novelas (Mejía I'm looking at you).
Marcelo Córdoba was such a great choice for Vicente. I don't know if the reunion would have been as exciting if another actor would have been chosen.

She shouldn't marry him or anything, but she should tell him the truth. Then she can marry Vicente and live happily ever after, but there won't be any nasty secrets lurking, and Yawn and the kid can visit a few times a year and all will be fine. I thought Carlos actually said that for a moment, he was excited thinking it was his baby. Then it was like he was talking himself into his old uncommitted lifestyle again. Maybe he doesn't want to be tied to one woman, but he did seem to like the idea of having a child...you know, as long as he doesn't have to provide the childcare all the time. He wouldn't be the worst parent ever.

Maybe I just like rooting for the underdog but I was very touched by the bittersweet meeting of Adriana and Joan. Joan betrays his hopefulness, maybe his delight, when he realizes Adriana is pregnant and that he could be the father; then he immediately switches into self-protective mode and accepts Adriana's lie without question.
One thing the character of Bruna accomplished: She made sure that Joan and Adriana always had a haze of misunderstandings between them. As others have said, Adriana may end up with Vicente but she owes Joan the truth about her child.

I love the Inepto/Espanto paragraph and how does the evil Kendrat continue to look so incredibly beautiful on the outside when her insides should be spewing ashy smoke and putrid fumes out of her saucy mouth.
I am at the table of the total romantics here: I want to hear the Weather Girls song blasting from my radio saying: It's Raining Vicentes, Hallelujah, It's Raining Vicentes..." We all need a chance at one lost love coming into the light like him.
I guess the FF has made his peace with everyone so perhaps Kendrat will off him when her hoped for fortune falls through. I hope someone is there to grab the little Maia/Mia when her parents are drug under the biggest pie cart of all. No that would be Anyballs that needs to be down hill from the biggest one. Cande has done nothing but disappoint me so I can't wait to see how she atones with her confession tonight to Adriana.
I think Yawn Carlos deserves to know about the baby AND that he will never enjoy the home and love of Adriana but will only look in through the window at what commitment could be like. And that being said, I really enjoy Lisardo and his acting in this role too.
Maybe Liliana will wake up and act her age to embrace Vikki as the ideal mate for her Pops and then she will also be busy realizing who her real parents are so she is going to be way to busy to be a whine-maven brat anymore. More fun if she embraces ALL the parental-units and Roy.

Not only was Carlos hopeful when he realized Adri was pregnant, he also rushed to the hospital to support Adri as soon as he heard about Lili, because he knows what Lili means to her. That says a lot about how he feels about her, even if he can't admit that to her or to himself. Unfortunately, all his stupid bluster about not wanting to be tied down, and all their misunderstandings (mostly caused by Bruna), will likely lead to him losing her permanently. But, they'll always be tied together by their child. Adri better tell him soon. If not, I hope Vicky tells him. It's just not right to lie to him about something like that.
I REALLY want Adri to end up with her first love the super yummy Vicente, but I have this terrible feeling that the writers are just toying with us and that she and Carlos will end up together because he is the baby daddy.

Novela Maven, you are right on the penny with Nikki. I knew it. She is a girl with a noble heart. I'm so happy for her, I just hope that Liliana accepts her peace offering.
I do like equally Carlos and Vicente. I feel so sorry for Carlos not fighting for his new found love. He does not recognize it and so he loses. What can I say, first love never ever dies. so I am so happy for Vicente and Adriana and I hope Lily.

I too think Nikki and Roy are the best cases of 'changing for the best and deserve to be happy in the end' revelations.
Diana, I too don't like what seems to be coming up stream...
I also agree with Julia and Vivi, that Carlos needs to hear that the baby is his, hopefully from Adri herself, but at least know it.

Maybe he doesn't want to be tied to one woman, but he did seem to like the idea of having a child... and like others said, he certainly cares for Adri maybe more than he has cared for other women baring Vicky... it showed when he came to the hospital to show support for Adri since she grew so close to Lilli. So he deserves to be in the baby's life. He seems to be a well rounded guy, at least not in the relationship but maybe he will be a great distant father, but he should be allowed to see that child frequently and the child should know he is the father.

Diana - If the plot is heading where I think it is heading, I'm not happy about it, either. I was frustrated several times, last night.
