Amores Verdaderos Cap 170, 7-9-13—Everyone's getting fed up.

PREVIEW SCREENCAP.
* The Little Ape has a sh*t hemorrhage when he sees Roy the Boy embracing Nikki. He roughs up the Boy. It takes some quick explanations (Roy the Boy & Nikki are going to get a church annulment, thus leaving the path open for a church wedding for Guzmancito and Nikki) to finally calm our Little Gorilla down. Kissing and making up, interrupted by a phone call to Nikki from the Furry Fornicator. Come to the clinic now!
* Adriana is doing the math (looking at her calendar) and figuring out that she is going to be a mom again. (She confirms with a home pregnancy test.) Let's hope Gramps doesn't kidnap this baby too! (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.) She is delighted about this development, then ambivalent about how Carlos is going to take the news.
* Bittersweet conversation between Big Angel and Lili. They miss each other but she's not going to move back with her papa. Commence bitching about his relationship with Victoria. He assures her he wasn't intimate with Vicki until after Christina died, but it isn't enough for Lili. He just wants things to be like they used to. She's not ready for that. He reminds her that she's his ONLY daughter, is the ONLY person OF HIS BLOOD (cue ominous chords in the soundtrack). But she won't leave. She's a Balvanera! Whatever you want, Big Angel says. He'll step aside. But, "You are no longer the girl I raised" he says. Tears stream down his face.
* The Little Ape and Nikki visit The Furry Fornicator, who is kinder and gentler. All the things that Guzmancito did to save the FF have not gone unnoticed and the FF promises to not mess with their lives again. It appears we have a truce. Nikki wants to spend time with the FF as he gets treatment in Houston, but the FF says that Kendra the Ho is going with him. Nikki's face falls. We have an argument about what a Ho the Ho is. The FF is delusional about the Ho's qualities, refusing to acknowledge what a flaming, psychotic bitch she is. "She's noble and generous" he says. (COUGH COUGH WHEEZE WHEEZE can be heard from the Viewerville patio.) However both daughter and father end in an embrace with expressions of devotion.
* Gramps, the old douchebag, has managed to cancel the funding for Carlos's movie. Carlos gets news of this and has a little temper tantrum in front of his staff. Bruna speculates that Adri maybe will go with Carlos when he goes back to Spain. Adri isn't so sure. Meanwhile, Gramps talks about all of it with his buddy, Adri's godfather. He explains that Carlos has been trying to get revenge on him via his relationship Adri and he won't have it. He has to "protect his daughters." (More coughing and wheezing from the patio area.) He wants to drive Carlos out of Mexico. Godfather rolls his eyes.
* Lili is told by Roy the Boy that he's getting a church annulment from Nikki, so Nikki can marry Guzmancito in the church. Lili tells Roy the Boy to refuse the annulment, so that Lili still has a shot with Guzmancito before he marries in church. She still thinks that Nikki will tire of Guzmancito eventually. Roy the Boy is FED UP and tells her off. He tells her he used his injury in tennis as an excuse to return to Mexico (he didn't need to quit tennis actually) so he could be close to her. He's put up with all her shit all this time, he's schlepped manure and plants around, hoping to finally get to her heart, and for THIS?!??! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Lili whimpers that she's always loved Guzmancito, can't help it, yadda yadda, and Roy the Boy says, GET OVER IT, Guzmancito will always love Nikki. Give it up already. She is crying as he rips off his little gardener assistant apron and tells her he quits!
* Nikki sees the tabloid photo of the Little Ape and Bruna. She pops a cork.
* Bea is tearfully having a conversation with Hilda/Gilda about her mom's sickness. She's not going to tell Guzmancito about it yet.
* Adri confides in Big Angel that she's got Carlos's bun in her oven. BUG EYES from Big Angel. He thinks it's a blessing (por supuesto). He says she should tell Carlos! She doesn't think so. Carlos is a rolling stone and he's never wanted kids; it's not part of his plans. Big Angel tells her that she has no right to conceal this news from the baby daddy. Again Big Angel tries to reason with her. The baby was made by two people (he holds up two fingers to signify this).
* Carlos approaches Gramps at Meta Imagen. Stinkeye. He knows Gramps was behind the project being cancelled. Gramps says that the sponsors probably decided that his project sucked and that's why they bailed. Carlos wants to Gramps to admit what he did. Gramps does, in a roundabout way, do that. More bitching at each other and stinkeye. Carlos warns Gramps to not get in his way or mess with him. Gramps says, right back at ya, I can do worse to you, I can ruin your career! It looks like the fight is on between these two.
* Nikki is writing in her blog, about battling her bulimia and stuff.
* Carlos tells the Little Ape that Gramps was behind the project's cancellation. Carlos says this won't interrupt "mis planes," he'll just go to Spain and try to get sponsors there. But that means that Guzmancito will be out of a job. Carlos will give him a good letter of recommendation. They drink a toast to all of this.
* Lili is telling the Kitchen Staff (Jean Marie, Polita, and Balzac heh heh) about how Roy the Boy quit in a snit. Both Polita and Jean Marie are thinking that Lili messed up, and that Roy the Boy didn't turn out so bad after all, and even though he was a douche in the past, everyone deserves a second chance. Not what Lili wants to hear.
* Nikki rips Guzmancito a new one over the tabloid photos of him with Bruna. He drags her out of their little apartment to take her somewhere.
* Big Angel leaves Carlos's apartment, leaving Adri and Carlos to talk alone. Carlos is talking about fighting to keep his project going. Adri is acting hesitant and wants to talk "about us." Carlos, clueless idiot that he is, is all focused on the project. He gets snippy at the thought that maybe she's trying to tie him down. He thinks that all can wait until he gets his project in order. You can see the wheels turning in her head as she is making the decision that this dipshit isn't going to be told that he's going to be a daddy. She bids him goodbye. Dipshit wants her to spend the night. Her eyes are getting moist as she politely and lovingly tells him to go pound sand. Let's end this here, and you can hook up with one of your other friends with benefits. He isn't getting it as they have had great "chemistry." No, she wants to say goodbye now, and "thanks for the things you gave me, things YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE. . ." (that will appear in about nine months, you clueless dolt!) (Only I added that last part.) Carlos just looks puzzled. We have this prolonged departure as she hovers outside his door and he hovers right inside it, but neither of them makes a move. He says, "Para que? (what for)" and that is that. She tells Big Angel that she couldn't go through with it. Big Angel disapproves and encourages her to go back and tell the idiot. She cries that she wouldn't want Carlos to stick with her out of obligation or guilt, and he's made his priorities clear to her.
* Guzman has apparently taken Nikki to see Bruna. Nikki confronts Bruna about the troublesome tabloid photo. Bruna is actually really cool about it, reassures Nikki that there's no big deal, and that if she (Bruna) had a supreme hottie like Guzmancito who loved her, she'd probably get jealous too. This makes Nikki smile.
* Adri is in bed, lamenting that Carlos is too much of a free spirit and that she'll have to love her baby enough for two.
* That night, Nikki tells Guzmancito that she doesn't want him to guard another woman in his next job. He assures her that he couldn't fall for anyone else, he only has eyes for her! They kiss.
* Big Angel is at Opalina's place, missing Victoria. A knock on the door and the lady in question appears. She has her luggage with her. She tells him that she needed time to get her thoughts together, but now she knows she can't be without him. They kiss. She tells him she loves him and that she's got some news—his wish came true! They're going to be parents! She's going to have his baby! They're going to have a Little Big Angel! He's whooping and hollering in glee and we have another elated kiss and END OF EPISODE!
AVANCES: Vicki is ripping the Ho a new one and Big Angel is ripping Gramps a new one. MUST SEE TV!!!

When Anibal learns that Adri and Vikki are pregnant, he will have a cow. If we're lucky, he'll have The Big One. Terminal heart attack or stroke.
Guzman's rage of jealousy against Roy was so out of character for Guzman. Qué the ???? He has never acted like that before.
Really, with Adri pregnant, I just cannot see her getting together with Vicente. She never really pined for him all these 18 or 20 years, anyway; only for her lost daughter. Personally, I think she & Carlos belong together. He wants to be in a relationship but fear is in the driver's seat.
Now that Roy quit Lili .. er.. the nursery and threw in the towel … er … apron, I am now officially a Roy fan. Good for him! He also handed Guzman's jealous rage attack like a true gentleman. Our little boy is growing up!
Nelson is being too nice to Nikman. Must be the painkillers.

Looks like lots of changes are on the way and that we'll get a time jump. People going away for "months" (Nelson, Kendra, Salsero, Carlos); pregnancies (Adri and Vicky); and people getting fed up with the status quo (Roy).
Good for Roy! Between JA not giving in, and Roy giving up on her, this will be a good catalyst for Lili to stop being so hard on the two men in her life. She still has a lot to learn.
Carlos also has a lot to learn. He once again said all the wrong things and really stuck his foot in his mouth. Adri's romantic life is really up in the air right now. And she even missed the opportunity to bump into Vicente while Nelson was his patient. I'm not sure which of her baby-daddies she ends up with in the end. I'm still pushing for Vicente.

I know Guzmancito's rage was out of character but look what happened with him and Bruna just before with the pics. I think that had a lot to do with it. He was acting like Nikki was when she was trying to beat up that lady a couple days before.
I want Lili to stop the madness. She is STILL obsessed with Guzmancito and yay, to Roy for telling her it will never happen y punto. I swear she was channeling Anyballs when she told Roy not to go thru with the church annulment. I hope she loses the channeling of Anyballs soon. I also like what Polita and Jean Marie said to Lili about Roy.
I too am really liking Roy. Lili doesn't deserve him right now. I am glad he told her off and quit. Now what will she do?
Now both Adri and Ms Vikki are having buns in the oven. Yay! If I were them, I'd get far away from that Balvanera Manse! Look what happened to Lucia last time. They shouldn't trust Anyballs anywhere near them!
Did Angel accept Adri's offer of being her bodyguard? I think he did. I am glad he's got a job. Now where will Guzmancito work?

wow...I was expecting an announcement from Vikki.."I am having your baby, Big Guy," but I did not see Adri's pregnancy coming. I was blindsided by Adri's pregnancy. With Vincente almost within reach, is this yet another cruel twist of fate in the making? While Carlos was undeniably "pissy" last night, he would have been forgiven had he just opened the door and gone after her. As much as I would have preferred her to be with Vincente, I agree with doris that seems highly unlikely now.

Roy handled Francisco with grace and understanding. Let's hope Lili realizes what she has lost and quickly.
Susanlynn, couldn't Vicky have had more than one minute to return, declare her love for JA and then tell him she is pregnant? What should have been one of the best scenes so far was certainly the shortest. Although, Yanez took every second to convey her sheer happiness. At least one happpy ending is in full swing.
What I feared might be a "filler" turned out to be a major turning point for many of the characters. Can't wait to see what happens tonight.

I was blindsided by Adri's pregnancy. With Vincente almost within reach, is this yet another cruel twist of fate in the making? While Carlos was undeniably "pissy" last night, he would have been forgiven had he just opened the door and gone after her. As much as I would have preferred her to be with Vincente, I agree with doris that seems highly unlikely now.

Elvira- thanks so much for the recap and pics! The title summed up my feelings too.
When Lili realizes what her "wonderful" abuelo did to her, I hope she stops acting stupid.
I'm glad others found Frankie's flipping out not in character. Though the bad behavior in one partner can influence the other. And seeing that Frankie has limited job prospects, Nikki's insistence he doesn't guard women is selfish and silly.
I'm with Niecie and hope that MC (aka Doc Hottie) wasn't brought in for nothing.
For me this episode was a bit frustrating b/c there was so much focus on the immature behavior of Frankie/Nikki as well as Lili when so many things need to be tied up. And Gramps shouldn't die, he needs to be penniless, in jail, and shunned by his family. As for Candi, I'm with Doris, she's dead to me and can go to jail too.

Not sure who the country estate near Santa Rita belongs to. It might be Anibal's since they've had it forever (it's where he locked Adri up as a pregnant teen). But it also might belong to Vicky and Adri's mom, and therefore would belong to both of them.

I felt that Vikki's revelation of her pregnancy to JA was a little … rushed. It could have been done more romantically, but the writers did not ask me. ;-)
Niecie - Vikki looked a little chunkier to me, when she walked thru that door. I thought perhaps it was an unflattering jacket that was buttoned up. So, my brain says they had her padded up a bit to show some immediate weight gain.
NovelaMaven - gosh, good call on Adri figuring out she is preggers by the calendar, instead of nausea and dizziness. We all knew this telenovela was different from the usual drivel.
Nikki's book on staying thin could also include a chapter on cat fights (with one's detested cousin).

JA over-did his enthusiasm for becoming a papa, but I'll give it to him, it's a promise come true, a new baby with the woman he loves and just because the patio know that this will probably be his only child. So go to it, Big Guy.

I too wonder what they have planned for Doctor Hottie. I want to see more of him and I'm waiting with eager anticipation when Adri encounters him!
Agreed that Adri is probably going to end up with JoanCarlos. I was hoping for Doctor Hottie. But she is going to be raising this kid, and better she raise the kid with the baby daddy. The only way I can see it not going that way is if JoanCarlos willingly relinquishes custody but becomes a regular participant in the baby's life, while Adri and Doctor Hottie marry and raise the child. Maybe a little like how it is in Porque El Amor Manda, where the bio dad (Jesus) is not living in the home with the bio mom or child, but visits and shares custody, as the child stays at his place sometimes too. Bio mom is with step dad. (Well, was, until things went all pear-shaped in that storyline.) We know that Jesus won't end up getting with bio-mom, EVER. The setup they have now seems to be working.

He may only need a nudge to commit, who knows. But if he really doesn't want to be tied down, then Adri+Doctor Hottie raising the kid with Carlos as visiting bio dad could work.

Nice to have a tn where the pregnancies are not cliche. The pregnancies (Adriana's and Victoria's) are NOT: the result of a rape of an unprotected innocent; the result of first-time sex by careless (or ignorant) teenagers (Lili escaped that one in her first encounter with Roy) or frequent unprotected sex by immature adults (assuming Nikki and Guzman are using protection); discovered by the fainting or nausea of the one(s) affected; unwanted (both Adri and Vikki are over the moon happy about it); and last, but not least, NOT faked!
On the other hand, Kendra's pregnancy was semi-cliche in that she got pregnant to trap Nelson. And although she was happy about being pregnant, she is not so enamored of the child that was produced. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Elvira - Terrific shots. Love the pic of Guzman glaring at Roy. I didn't realize Guzman gave Roy such a workout. Roy should be well use to being tossed around by now.
No doubt Vickie's baby news could've been more romantic but I found JA's enthusiasm realistic. He's an older guy, he (and Cris) always wanted more kids but she couldn't, and he'd long ago given up on having a son, till Opalina's shells. This pregnancy is a near-miracle for Vickie. They should be dancing on the table.

Hey you guys, thanks for the Support. I ended Summer II with A's as my final grades so I'm very content, my hardwork and hardly any sleep paid off lol :)
Thanks Vivi! I really worked hard, it was my first time taking a summer class and it was exhausting especially since everything that is usually a 16 week course was compiled into a week and I took 3 classes. Its over and I survived :)
