PEAM #83- 7/3/13: These Are The Little Mornings That King David Used To Sing!
Recap By Pablo
Labels: Manda
Thanks so much for this great recap, so funny!
Thanks for putting all the food at Rogue's party. The food always looks so good!
I liked how Patymelt made a list of pros and cons before sending that video to Alma. I thought Patymelt would send it without a thought, she really surprised me there. Now what will Alma do when she gets it? Hmmm...... If Hay-Sooos sees it first will he tell Alma?
Ray looks like a girl dressed as a boy. She is one tough little cookie but will be a good friend to Valentina I think.
Maricela is soooo fake. She so enjoys that fatty food! I was laughing at her scarfing down that food. She was like Elias there, except she didn't have as much as he did.
Poor Ferny is now stuck with his devastated bubby. Will he show him the light? Will Rogue even go there? I don't think he will, but will be ten times worse than he already is. I liked how Ferny greeted Hay-Soooos. They will be great friends I think.
Sebas is an idiot. I hope Alma sets him straight and tells him to quit trying to control her life. He treats Alma like she is ten years old. Time for him to get his own place!
Well, it seems that not only Alma is not taking anything from anyone anymore but also Jesus. I liked how he told Sebastian off and then told Alma basically the same thing: to treat him with respect. How long have we waited for that?
All in all it was a good episode: the plot is on the move!

Yay Alma! I was very proud of her for laying out the whole truth (well, except for being in love with Jesus, but that would have been too cruel) for Rogue. I just hope her new attitude doesn't include being a b!tch to everyone (like STUD).
Too bad the party was broken up early. That food looked delicious.
I'm not sure how I feel about adding a new kid into the mix. Ray seems like a nice kid, but I just don't know if I can stomach a kid-centered side story. I guess Val needs a playmate in the hood.
I also thought that the two divorce lawyers might be in a passionate relationship with each other. They were trying to play up how much they hate each other a bit too much. In any case, they certainly have history with each other.
For someone who supposedly is broke and just bailed out his brother too, have to give it to Rog, that was one nice party. (Sad that the only people to invite are your fellow co-workers, but juarever.)
So I agree, seems we are moving to part tres ( I count the Chicago stuff as part uno) with Alma admitting her mistake to Rog, a new friend for Val ( Ray is a girl I'm pretty sure) and Pati letting the proverbial cat out of the bag. 'Bout time the plot starts moving. (Loved how they actually showed the poor help actually having to clean up someone's temper tantrum. I've always loved the constant smashing of valuables the main baddies do and think...hey someone has to clean that up!)
As good as it was for Alma to lay it on the line ( and what were she and Pati dressed for? an impending snowstorm?), I wish she would just tell her sperm donor to take a hike. I hate hate hate the fact that poor Susanna is being teamed up with this cretin. At least Jesus is showing a spine now and telling it as it is. Maybe his time with Pancho was good for him.
Count me among those who thought the two lawyers actually have a thing going on. Little sparks were flying anyway. (And frankly, that may be more fun to watch than Elias and Vero arguing.)
Happy 4rth!!

I am happy to see that Alma finally grew a pair because she was too sweet and accommodating.
It was nice to see an early anvil drop for Rogelio with more to come.
I am still laughing aloud at the prospect of Gil's wife buying a larger rolling pin from Chatita.
The lawyer scene was a hoot. I loved how Elias asked Vero "What just happened here?" I agree with those of you who think there MUST be something between those two lawyers. Heck, if this show is going to go on another 100 episodes we'll need some new plot lines. Such as Valentina's new boyfriend who I agree is most likely a girl in disguise. Looks like s/he will be able to teach Val some boxing techniques. Vero's gonna love that.
Thanks again Pablo. You rock!
I just read back through previous days' recaps and am surprised to see dissatisfaction with some of the Alma-Chucho "coming clean about their true feelings" scenes. I loved them! Found Alma so raw and authentic, even letting all the make-up roll off and looking all blotchy...and Chucho....what a man! So honorable in the whole matter. I kept the tapes of these programs and have watched them over a couple of times.
Loved it in this episode too when Chucho insisted Alma's lame father speak to him with respect! And she better too. Yay~ This is becoming one of my all-time favorites!
Maybe this episode is indicative of a shift of power? Rogue has had a terrible couple of days, getting fired, losing money, now getting dumped. Alma is finally standing up to her Lame Father. Fern, who was always in Rogue's shadow and making plays for attention seems to be in a better place than Rogue these days.
