PEAM# 118- Malcriado Continues and In This Corner- Tiburcio for Round 1

I will put the recap up later.  I've been invited to A Latin/Salsa Throw Back Thursday Party.  So I'm off.
I've given Malquaides a new name- Malcriado or Malo for short.  He is beyond spoiled, he is disgusting.

The past
Alma is reaming Marisela for not having the financial report.  Marisela reminds Alma that she is not Jesus, who is a jack-of-all-trades.  Alma reminds Marisela that Avon has to win the contest against Orion.

Vicky is crying to Dr. Phil aka Jesus about her relationship with Malcriado, who threatens her job any time she wants to break off the romance.  This is harassment.

Ferny asks Xochy to move in with him on his computer

Jesus can’t believe his ears.  He asks Vicky if Don Augusto knows but she says that if she tells him nothing will happen.  Vicky needs help in defending herself against Malcriado and kisses Jesus for offering to talk to Augusto in her defense and of course at the precise moment, in walks Malcriado.  He has a tantrum.  He hates Jesus.  Jesus stands up to Malcriado who is going to lie to Augusto that Vicky is harassing him and when he went into Jesus’ office they were doing the nasty.

The present
Meanwhile Julio implements his trick against Malcriado.  He touches Malo all over calling him bro, while placing itching powder on him.  Malo starts scratching and saying that Vicky isn’t on his level. (Right, she is not a 2 year old)  Malo runs out of the office scratching and screaming that he has fleas-and Aida and Julio are beside themselves in laughter. Vicky tries to give Jesus another hug and he makes it clear that the woman in his life is and will be Alma Montemayor.
Jesus investigates the laughter and he tells Julio that he doesn’t approve of such jokes. Jesus scolds Julio for the joke and tells him more or less two wrongs don’t make a right and that they should concentrate on the contest.

Ferny tells Xochy that she works like the Eveready bunny (a robot without batteries) Xochy needs some time to digest Ferny’s invitation.
Chatita tells Panfilo to forget about her and to leave the ribbon crown on. Cricket Face.
Alma once again gives Marisela a chance to recoup herself.  Chatita visits Alma and forgets why she came to talk to Alma.  Oh right it’s about Jesus.

Cantu and Rogue enter the office and Elias wants to talk to Rogue.  Cantu is told to activate the plan, that I’m sure has to do with Chatita’s apartment.
Val shares- Rogue’s –Grumpy nickname with her mother.  He is from a story that my Papa Jesus tells me.  She asks her mother to let her see her friend Ray to say goodbye.

Elias lets Rogue that having Val live with him is not a good idea.  He knows that Rogue and Vero are not in love and that this is a plan that Vero is maneuvering against Jesus.  Elias lets Rogue know that Val better not get hurt or else.

Alma and Chatita chat about everything on Jesus’ plate.  The workaholic boss, the never ending work schedule, new executive job, Val, Vero and that Jesus is not sleeping or eating.  They both don’t get to see him and they are very worried about him.  He is under a lot of pressure. Elias is photographing some new perfumes with Marisela’s help.  He is having difficulty concentrating.

Jesus lets Julio know that the contest is against Avon, mainly Alma.
Augusto wants to know what foolishness Malcriado is telling him.  Jesus asks him- where should I begin.  Why does Augusto continue to enable Malo?
Jesus asks to speak to Augusto alone.  Malcriado has another tantrum because he wants to hear what is being said.  Jesus tells Augusto the truth about Vicky and reminds him that his focus should be on the contest.  Augusto is pleased with Jesus and his dedication to Orion. Maximo was right to hire him.

Alma is afraid that Jesus is changing and that he is under so much stress, he will get sick.  It’s a real test of their love.

Val goes over to see Ray 2.0 and Vero can’t believe her eyes. A neighbor eyes Vero’s shoes, they look ridiculous.  Like something Herman Munster or Frankenstein would wear. Val tells Ray about her new home with “The Bad Man” and how she doesn’t want to live there. Ray has an idea. Ray wants know where Rogue lives and the girls plan to distract Vero.  Val goes to see Chatita while Ray tries to sneak into the car.  Ray distracts Vero with a little dog.  The dog is so cute and Vero is insulting the dog.  Ray gets into the car. Vero feels a different energy in the car and Val dismisses it as needing to see Chatita.

Alma and Elias are working for the introduction of the perfume- Infinity Seduction. Elias and Alma talk about how Vero moved into with Rogue to only hurt Jesus. They are using a child to get their way. Alma reminds Elias that the information regarding the launch of the new perfume line is confidential.

Vero arrives at Rogue’s house and they share a sloppy kiss after Vero sprites Rogue’s mouth with some Listerine. Rogue is thrilled to see Val petting Sanson. - Yeah right! Rogue tries to be nice and Val greets him as Hi Mr. Grumpy.  Vero tells Rogue that it’s from some ridiculous story that Jesus told her.
Vero and Rogue argue about Val yelling and Sanson barking.  Que the heck!!

Elias’ lawyer visits Jesus and brings some good news.  The judge has issued the order for the DNA paternity test. Jesus is yelling at someone on the phone about something that is going to be presented today.
Julio is worried about Jesus.  He wonders if the job is making him sick.   He took this job to provide a better life for Val but he misses Alma.  He can’t resign becaseu he has a committed himself via a contract.  He is helping Chatita keep her apartment and has promised some gifts for Val. Jesus is becoming Augusto- yelling, screaming and working.  Julio asks –where is the old Jesus? Jesus, the lover, the nice guy the friend to everyone.  The job is making him bitter and he has a lot of problems to solve.

Marisela is working diligently on her report.  Jessica is worried about Cardenas’ allergies and Susan is happy to have Panfilo to herself. Gil has a cart named Carito de Tentempie- with light, healthy foods and shakes.

Vero’s lawyer visits Vero and tells her not to impede on the DNA test.  Jesus will have parental rights if he is Val’s biological father. Ray has a frog for Val to use for round 1 with Rogue. Tiburcio, the frog will be a part of the plan.

Val interrupts the conversation with the lawyer.  The lawyer has a strategy; it has to do with deny Jesus any rights with Val.

At the Orion meeting, Malcriado is acting like an a$$ as usual. Jesus asks for 5 minutes and Malcriado goes on his rant. Augusto hates delays.  Jesus needs to make a call but not on the cell because Augusto hates the cell. Five minutes have passed and with 16 seconds left, Julio runs in with a box.  Previcap is their new product.  Everyone but Malcriado congratulates Jesus.

Marisela wants to clear the air with Elias.  She loves Ricardo and will fight for him. Elias will be a friend that she can count on.  She hugs him and of course Ricardo walks in on them and sees it differently.
Marisela tries to explain but to no avail.
Elias tries to explain to Ricardo what he saw. He tells him that Marisela loves him and they are just friends and he asks Ricardo to go and speak to Marisela as a favor and Ricardo doesn’t.  What a fool!!

Jesus calls Alma and tells her that he needs to do wash, clean, sweep.  Alma will be there, toot suite.

Jessica asks Cardenas if he can invite her family to the wedding.  There are 17 family members coming from Puerto Rico.

Elias shows up at Rogue’s to see Val. She asks why didn’t he call first, well Beyotch you don’t answer your phone. She won’t let him see Val, says that she is sleeping and Rogue interrupts.
Val puts Tiburcio the frog in Rogue’s bed.  Round 1

Outside of Orion- Jesus recognizes Marta

Coming attractions:
Vero uses Val as revenge but Val has a plan of her own.

Have fun at the party and can't wait for your always awesome recap!

Good girl. Fiesta first, party later. You are worth the wait.

Thank you, I hope that I didn't disappoint. It was good to get out.
I hope that this storyline takes a turn for the better thanks to Raimunda because adults using children to get their own way is disheartening.
I can't wait to laugh when Vero and Rogue meet Tiburcio. I love how cooperative Sanson was with Val. He didn't even bother the frog.

TJ- It sounds like you had a fun evening, and even found time to give us a recap. I too can't wait till Rogue and Vero encounter the frog.

How did Ray get home, I wonder?

I could feel my own blood pressure rising when Vero refused to let Elias see Val after ignoring all his calls that day. Someone stop this madness, NOW!

Tablet Jefa, hope you enjoyed the party! I certainly enjoyed your recap!

My favorite part of the episode was when Valentina greeted Rogelio with "Hola, hombrecito gruñÓn. (Hello, grumpy little man.)

Jarifa

Hope you had a great time TJ and the recap was awesome. Wish I could say the same about the episode. Some of this is just getting hard to watch night after night. Where did the comedy go?

I still say there has to be more behind why Auggie allows Melvis to be such an idiot, even in front of everyone. Please dear lord, make this dweeb go away or have his epiphany moment to just stop his behavior. It's nauseating to watch.

Well, not as nauseating as Vero, but she seems to be transplanting Rog as the true villain of this piece. I'm beyond tolerant of how she is using her daughter. If this continues to just drag out thru the life of this TN, I'm going to have a hard time watching day after day.

This whole contest thing is so lame. ( and sorry, Chucho. That packaging was sort of Meh). And as if we don't get enough time with characters we enjoy, now we get Marta back. So not dancing a jig.

Daisynjay

TJ:

Awesome recap! And you never disappoint.

I too don't like this storyline of Moronica and Royer using Val to get back at Chucho, but Val has some plans of her own. Good for her! I really like this frog idea. I can't wait to see Moronica and Royer's reaction.

Xochi and Ferny are so cute.

Poor Chucho so much on his plate. He has become rather grumpy. I too think he is on his way to getting an ulcer. I wish Malvo would just go. He is acting like a two year old in the middle of a temper tantrum in the middle of the grocery store when he didn't get the candy he wanted. I'm with DaisynJay, I don't understand why Auggie hasn't gotten rid of Malvo either, son or no son. Doesn't Orion have a warehouse he can work in?

Poor Mari she can't win for losing. I hope Rico Suave opens his eyes. Maybe Xochi will help. I like that look she gave him.

Tablet Jefa...wow. Party on. Excellent way to get in the mood to bang out a terrific recap.

And I AM depending on the recaps right now. Can't bear to watch this. Between Malcriades and little Valentina-abuse, it's become unbearable to watch. And not at all funny.

But the recapping team continues to sparkle. Thanks all.

Thanks for another great recap! This is not a spoiler as I have not looked ahead, but...they keep focusing on Jesus drinking that coffee. Is someone poisoning it? Just a thought.

TJ glad you went to your party as this TN and its current torturous turn can wait. ITA w/you about the adults manipulating kids is not good.

I'm with you Judy as I FF through most of the TN b/c its just depressing w/wretched characters taking up way to much space.

I did like the itching powder that Julio rubbed on ElMal, too funny. I loved the scratching his back against the wall.

I will be curious to see how Marta ended up outside of Avon, what a coinky dink, and that she just happened to run into Chucho. I wonder what she has been up to all this time.

TJ: Stellar recap.

Vivi: “Someone stop this madness, NOW!”—totally agree. The good thing is that Vale is smart enough to, with the help of adorable Ray, plan her way out of the situation.

JudyB: So with you on the Vale abuse. I couldn’t watch Wednesday’s ep before reading the recap (reading it lets me distance myself a little). I did start watching it last night, thankfully after I saw last night’s ep with Vale’s and Ray’s plotting. Cringed through the crying scene.

Anon 10:27: I thought maybe they were emphasizing the coffee drinking because he’s developing an ulcer and it’s the worst thing for it (I would imagine).

Nanette

I’m a little confused about what Cynthia's conversation with Vero about the paternity test.

Also, how did Ray get a frog, IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER? She didn't bring it with her. I can see her catching a frog, but did she catch a plastic container at the same time? Or maybe, the frogs in that area live in plastic containers.

Nanette,

Too funny, I didn't get how Rai got ahold of that frog either, although I think he might be a toad, and with a name to boot, Tiburion? That was one to tighten the beanie on. I'm just glad that Val has a plan.

I also thought that Cynthia would tell Moronica if Chucho is proved to be the biological Papa that she could soak him too, for everything he has, just as she did with Elias. I remember when Moronica wanted that back support of six years, even though poor Chucho never knew Val existed until he found her on the web.

Veronica is now able to get support from Jesus and alimony from Elias, even though she is cohabiting with another man...hmmn.

I don't like Elias with Patty -- I think she'd be better off with the photographer who understands and appreciates her, and Elias needs to work on avoiding codependent relationships.

Poor Chucho, the gastrite, the knee, and I'm still worried about that booboo on his right index fingernail -- that must have hurt!

Ray is a magical child. Not only can she transform from a butch boy, to an uber-feminine girl, she can also conjure frogs in neat containers out of thin air, and teleport herself from Rogue's ritzy house in the burbs, to her hood in the middle of the city.

TJ....very clear and concise recap and thank you for it as I can't watch anymore. So will be relying on the recaps to let me know when this sick-stuff has stopped. I'm with Judy B. et al. This very intimate portrayal of emotional child abuse is too much for me. I know this sort of thing happens but to have it go on night after night with the bad guys prevailing and the good hearts at a loss...I can't watch. Especially since the child who plays little Vero is so convincing and lovely. And all that piling on Jesus...even beating up on his adopted mom....will just keep reading. Wake me when this particular rough spot is over. I now love the Chucho-Alma connection and even think her acting has improved.

The words street savvy can't begin to describe Raimunda. I thought that Val was an old soul but Rai is a wise, old soul.
Madelaine- I agree- Xochy will be key in reuniting Ricardo and Marisela. Ricardo needs to get over himself because he is not all that!,

TJ, thanks for the recap! I enjoyed it more than the episode. Malcriado is a perfect apodo, too.

I don't think I had my beanie tight enough to appreciate the action last night. Ray can conjure animals now? Does she study at Hogwarts? She does have a kind of Hermione vibe.

Also, how did Julio get that polvo pica-pica all over Malcriado without making himself itch, too? And how did Malcriado and Chucho not immediately link Malvis's itcholeptic fit to Julio's odd pawing of him?

Still, though, it's nice to see Val scheming and and sassing in the face of such abuse. I like her spunk. Seems to me like she if she is just annoying and demanding enough, Moronica will be all too willing to hand her off to her dads. Because the one thing Moronica cares about more than her greedy scheming is her own comfort and freedom.

Thanks, TJ! Since nobody, not even Malcriado himself, knows that Augusto is his father, I assume that's the key to why Aug can't keep him in line. Aug seems really mortified by the big secret, so that must be his motivation - to maintain the secret at all costs.

If he upsets the boy, he'll upset the boy's mother and then the secret will come out. Still, it would probably be better for everyone if he would just spill the tepache and face the consequences. Sure it'd be embarrassing to claim an idiot like that as his son, but isn't it also embarrassing for such a bossy man to have such a useless, undisciplined employee?

Exactly, Julie. The secret is probably going to come out eventually anyway...Malcriado is an embarrasment to Augie either way...and wouldn't it be better to not have this secret hanging over him so he could start trying to straighten out his horrid son? And it's not like he's still married to the wife he cheated on to spawn this demon, right? That was wife #2. Maybe his current wife, if he has one, will still be upset, and maybe his other 6 or 7 kids won't like having a new brother, but I doubt they have some impeccable image of their father's personal life that will be dashed.

Ah, maybe he is still married to wife #3. That would explain why he spends so much time in the office - it's a simple way to minimize the amount of time that he and his wife can fight. :-)

Nanette, I know you were only joking when you suggested it last week, but I still think Malcriado could be a good match for Marisela once he's been rehabilitated by Chucho. ;-)

Julie: that certainly would be interesting. Discua coming back for Rico was part of that scenario.

They keep stressing this contest. I was wondering if Elvis will tell Rogue something about what Orion is doing and frame Jesus. Agustino is not happy that Jesus is keeping company with the competiion.

I don't understand this cosmetics industry and its contests. Who is running the contest? Do we know anything about this contest? What is it about? Why do they not operate the way most companies do, where the objective is to make stuff that lots of people will want to buy, and then if you're lucky and you send samples to magazine editors and stuff they will declare your thing the "best lipstick" or whatever?

I don't understand these Avon vs. Orion competitions, where they put a lot of work into...something...specifically for the competition. What in heck are they doing? And I didn't think whatever that bottle of stuff was that Chucho so dramatically presented was all that enticing, so I hope that wasn't his contest entry, unless the potion inside is magic.

Julia: at first I thought it was the packaging that was the presentation, the way it opened with a tug to reveal the product inside, which was ho hum.

The first contest was sponsored by the Mexican Cosmetics Camera (oops, Chamber) of Commerce, or somesuch. Maybe they just run contests all the time. It seems disruptive and exhausting.

Even the first contest was ridiculous. The Camera was going to give some special endorsement to only one company which would automatically mean $$millions in new contracts. Can you imagine any industrial organization/alliance agreeing to that? "Oh, sure, let's support a contest whose outcome will put 99.9% of Mexico's cosmetics companies at a serious competitive disadvantage." Who is running this chamber of commerce, anyway? They should impeach the lunatic.

Yeah, who are these supposed clients who are going to give so much weight to what the Camera says based on some silly contest? And why are they having them submit entries (of WHAT?!) instead of just independently reviewing their products or auditing their business practices or whatnot?

I mean, my industry has various awards, and winning them can give the firm some prestige and possibly help with winning new contracts...but winning those awards is a byproduct of doing our work well and making our clients happy. We don't do additional work for the specific purpose of winning an award. That's kind of weird.

Tablet Jefa, thanks for the terrifically enjoyable recap. It was stellar from the great title to the coming attractions.

You know the neighbor who snickered at Vero's shoes? She looks like the singer who sings the Porque El Amor Manda song, the peppy one. Does anyone know if she is the same person?

I just love plot lines where kids outsmart adults. I am really liking where this is going with Rai and Val (and doggie too) plotting against Royer and Moronica. Can't wait for tonight's episode when the grownups meet Tiburcio.

Thanks Tablet Jefa!
