PEAM #129-9/6/13: What Time Is It? Time For The Debut Of The Monterrey Tattler, Oh, And Film At Eleven!

Hola PEAM Peeps. I am running so late this whole weekend. I was going to craft a witty recap involving a gossip column. I will try my best. Oh, and this recap of course will not be in any order ; )

The Monterrey Tattler:

We are a new gossip rag here in Monterrey, Renato is one of our photogs when he isn't trying to get money in neferious ways from other people. Hey, he's gotta make a living, we don't pay much after all! Here are the happenings in Monterrey.

The Old Gossip:

Pato is a goalie, gets kerfuzzled, calls Elias to rescue her, he does, they kiss.

Moronica tells her lawyer Cyn she wants to get the goods on Royer and then bleed him dry. What else is new?

Cantu and Rogue have new mis planes to get rid of Discua.

Ferny is trying his best to not think about Discua, good luck with that.

Chucho finds Augusta in his office and immediately has a distressed stomach. Could it possibly be stress?

The New Gossip:

There is a new VP at Orion, by the name of Augusta, who can't stand any man she works with and please don't compare her to Mal-Kiddy who was recently sent off to school, was it High School? There are rumors. She doesn't want to hear any personal problems, not into them you see. It's work, work and more work! Anyhoo, Augusta seems to be liking Chucho, he is on the ball with stuff and she seems to be falling for him. What woman wouldn't? She also asks Chucho why he worked as a secetary to Alma at Avon? He doesn't want to talk about that. They are looking at some graphs and charts and Chucho's stomach is doing the growling again. He call Alma, while Augusta is in the room, he is all lovey dovey with Alma and needs her hugs, awwww. Augusta does ask if Chucho is ok, he says he is, but we all know better.

Aida and Julio were also talking in the outer office, about Augusta one day taking over Orion, Ruh Roh. Seems Papi Augusto wants to retire.

Cantu, Royer, and Susanna are in Royer's office. He wants some flowers sent to a certain someone and a gift in good taste. We hear he advised discretion, and also for Moronica to not find out, Hmmmmmm

Pato and Elias are in the 'hood, with Val who is dishing with Ray about a second sneak attack on Royer, when we hear there was a sneaky kiss, between Pato and Elias in which he yelled GOAL!!!!!!

Our new fledgling columnist, Chatita, by name, advice to the love lorn, is giving some advice to Pato. Seems Pato is really into Elias, but not like she was with Rogue. She isn't after Elias for the money, but she does want to change for him. She tells Chatita that Alma forgave her her little pecadillos. Pato also mentioned that Chatita, besides giving advice to the lovelorn should hang a shingle out as a pyschologist. Chatita thinks it's a great idea that Pato wants to change, also Pato wants Chatita to adopt her too. Done and Done. Hugs. Seems Chatita has adopted half of Monterrey and all of Avon, except for Royer and Moronica of course!

Meanwhile at Avon, Mari and Alma are having a bit of a meet. Rumor has it Mari wants to study for something I didn't catch, and Alma is all for it! Also things with Rico Suave aren't going anywhere.

Speaking of Rico Suave, he has gone to the Temple of Enlightenment to check out what is happening there. Our interpid reporter says he was way into it and even bought a book he is studying, winking all the while! Xochi happens to see the Luz book and is upset.

Meanwhile, Moronica is tucking little Val into bed, she wants her Papa Chucho at her birthday party. As our reporter told us that blazen hussy lied to her daughter again as in the law/judge won't allow it, so the answer is no! Royer is out in the hallway listening, our reporter feels he is up to something nefarious.

The roomies, Alma and Pato are talking about Chucho not being allowed to go to Val's birthday party. The doorbell rings it's for Pato, huge bouquet of flowers and a small, flat package. Pato is excited takes the stuff and doesn't tip the delivery guy, for shame! But then again she is broke. She opens the package, after admiring the flowers and it's a diamond necklace, a girl's best friend! Pato is sooo grateful Elias sent it, too bad she finds out it's from Rogue! He wants her back! Alma tells Pato the necklace really gotta go back. Pato knows that, but hey, let's admire it a bit. Parting with the diamond necklace is such sweet sorrow!

Val is in the land of Winken, Blinken and Nod, when Royer, like the snake he is, slithers on his belly, really!, into Val's room and takes her Helper doll. For Shame, you big grown man, stealing a little girl's dolly. I hope there is a Nanny cam in that room. We need the proof. He slithers out the way he slithered in and Sanson never made a sound!

Chucho is now in his office, working his tail off, instead of seeing his work, he is seeing Val and the little things they have done together. He is very sad and even cries that he won't be able to spend her birthday with her. May she dream wonderful dreams and his stomach continues to kill him. Where is the Chatita cure? Augusta comes in and wants a revision of one of the things Chucho has done. He's done for the day. He'll do it tomorrow and he goes. Augusta is kind of liking the way he surprises her.

Here your reporter got a bit mad, so bear with me. Royer has taken the Helper Doll to the kitchen and, I hate to report this, but he takes a pair of scissors and while calling the doll Chucho Garcia, cuts the head off. Not even Queen Elisabeth I did this to Mary, Queen of Scots, calling her name as she was executed. Really! Moronica looks for Royer in the kitchen, but he only has the body and throws it in the trash, the head of the Helper Doll has sadly rolled away. Royer tells Moronica not up to nothing, and the two douchebags kiss as they think of more Douchebaggery to commit!

Ferny is watching TV and Xochi mentions the word LUZ and the next thing to report is that Ferny is having visions of Discua, he tries very hard not to think of her. Xochi is troubled.

Val, I have to report, is going to have a very bad day. She can't find her Helper doll. She asks Domi if she's seen it and begs her to search the house to find her dolly!

Meanwhile Royer, is frantically searching the trash for the Helper Doll. He only finds the body, but sadly there is no head. I want Royer to go Dolly court and get convicted of Dollycide, jus' sayin'. I think Sylvia and Emilia are right, shave his curls, but leave a forelock of them right in the middle of his head, so as he bows to Val everyday, he has to touch it.

Val wants to call her Papa Chucho and talks Domi into it. Val calls and cries about her stolen Helper Doll to her Papa Chucho and that Royer stole it! Meanwhile, Moronica is looking all over for Val to take her to school, not that she is really happy about that! Domi warns Val that Moronica is coming and even tries to hide her, from Moronica but she hears Val talking to Chucho and crying. Moronica grabs the phone out of her hand, and tells Chucho she is sending him to the hoosegow. Val cries. Moronica tells her to stop crying. Well Val has had it up to here with her, insert favorite bad word here for Mama, and wants her Papa Chucho for her birthday! She demands it! Val starts to sing, "Esa hembra es Mala", no not that, but does call Moronica MALA ! Yay, Val.

Chucho has come to see Alma and sees the necklace. He asks Pato where she got it, reasonable question, really! Pato tells him it was from Rogue. This is where Chucho got the call from Val, he wished Val a Happy Birthday and she was crying to him about her stolen doll and Chucho is pithed when Moronica gets on the phone.

Elias has come for some advice from Chatita too and has brought her pan dulce. What a sweet man! Funny our lovelorn advice columnist mentioned that Pato had just come to see her, but the advice and visit are confidential. Chatita thinks he has had a lot of girlfriends with problems, Moronica the ex wife, Mari, Marta. Now Pato. Can't he find one normal woman? He is verklempt.

Rumor has it a package has arrived at Royer's residence and Domi receives the package. Moronica, Miss Nosy Pants, wants to know where it's from? Domi doesn't know but has to give it to Moronica even though it's addressed to Royer. Moronica, Miss Nosy Pants, decides to open it, and sees a flat box. Just as Pato did, Moronica opens it and is delighted to see a diamond necklace! She loses the delighted smile when she finds out it was sent to Pato first who is returning it, Thank You Very Much! Moronica is pithed!

Our final report of the evening comes in from Avon. Seems Chucho has gone to see Rogue at Avon, it's a personal matter. Chucho abandons his crutches, grabs Rogue by the tie and chokes him and accuses him of stealing the Helper Doll. Rogue, the lying liar that lies, begs to differ, he ain't no dolly stealer. Chucho doesn't beleive him. Chucho continues to choke ole Rogue and Rogue blames it on Domi and Moronica. End of Epi!

Good Evening Y'all. Please comment away. Working on the recap and I will put it up as soon as I can ; )

Take your time, Mads. We can discuss Valentina's punishment of Rogelio for what he did to her doll. I'm thinking she should sneak into his room while he is sleeping and shave his curls. Maybe even his eyebrows.

Or how those psychiatric medications really worked for Discua, I mean Marta, I mean....did I confuse them again?

Mads:
I look forward to reading your recap. I only catch the end of this show before La Tempestad but it seems charming. The little girl and Rogelio are so cute together.

Emilia: Is that you?? How is Mike?? It's Elna June, sending greetings.

EJ

I like the way you think, Emilia. Yes, shaving Rogelio's curls. It wouldn't make up for cutting off Ayudante's head but it would be a start.

Güera

Can't wait to read your recap Mads. This was a very busy episode. In fact, I've enjoyed the past few episodes, lots going on.

Emilia, your avatar is adorable. I like your ideas for Rogue revenge. I say Val should cut off half his curls, then he would have to cut the other half himself to make it even.

Even though Patymelt has some baggage she and Elias are cute together. However it looked like he was taking Chatita's advice to heart, i.e. get a novia sin broncas.

A belated thank you to the past week's recappers. I finally caught up with the recaps last night and they were all thoroughly entertaining.

HI EJ, Mike and I have missed you. How's the cabeza?

Sylvia, you're so deliciously evil - cutting off half of Rogue's hair, perfect!

I will thank you in advance because I know that the recap will be spectacular.
I agree Cap'n Sylvia- cut off half of Rogue's curls. I was amused at the ghost and Val's reaction to it but taking the Ayudante doll and dismembering him is not funny. This storyline needs to end, because making a child cry is not entertainment. On a lighter note I love the picture-Chatita is quite the advisor.

Good Morning Y'all and thanks for your kind words.

The recap is now up, I will check back later in the morning. Please enjoy ; )

Wow! What a fun and imaginative recap! Thank you, Madelaine, for the creativity. I loved it.

Rogelio stealing the doll was the lowest of the lowest blows. I hope Paty doesn't go back to him. On to Monday.

Jarifa

Great theme for a recap! You are so creative Mads, I really enjoyed this journalistic approach. The Monterrey Tattler, LOL! Chatita is perfect for this and she's not much of a tattler because she has selective memory, how funny.

Royer's revenge on Val perfectly portrays his immaturity. It was interesting that he didn't stick around to see the results of his "Douchebaggery" (great word!). What's the fun of sticking to someone if you can't see how they are affected? Because he knew it was so bad that he would be in big trouble if he were discovered, that's why! I wonder how he would have felt if he'd seen how broken up that poor child was. And isn't that dolly head rolling around somewhere? I also hope Paty rejects him soundly.

Marisela told Alma she was enrolling in an open education system for career training but she didn't say for what specifically. Knowing her she hasn't thought it through or actually decided. But she won't neglect her day job, she's going to Saturday classes and in between she'll study "lots of things" on the internet. Marisela is improving, but she's still got a long way to go.

Good for Val for asking Moronica why she is so MALA! I had to laugh at the Teresa reference.

Augusta said she was going to take over the company when her father retired, but when Jesus asked her, "does he know that (that he's going to retire)?" she answered in a way that makes one think she's going to TAKE the company from her father, whether he likes it or not. Her opinion of all men being stupid includes her father, apparently.

I get that Jesus may be developing an ulcer from stress, but do we really have to hear those disgusting sounds every single time?

Veronica didn't really think her move to Rog's house through. Now she's the one who has to take Vero to school every day, whether she wants to sleep in or not. Elias, Jesus and Minerva aren't there to sub whenever she feels like it. Probably adds to her crankiness.

Will Veronica keep the necklace and keep quiet? Will she confront Rog and give it back to him? If she wants the necklace, she can't let him know that Pati sent it back to him. But if she wants Rog, she HAS to let him know Pati sent it back. Hmmmm

Rog found the head in the morning, when he dug the ayudante out of the trash. When Domi came into the kitchen and he backed out, he had the body and the hand in his hands behind his back.

Oops, that's the body and the HEAD (not the hand) behind his back.

Oh darn, I was hoping the head was still around and Domi would find it then somehow patch the doll back together.

If I were Moronica I would have burned the note, kept the necklace, and thanked Rogue profusely for buying me such a fantastic surprise gift. I would be super sweet and wear the necklace just to irritate the hell out of him and confuse him.

Hi All. Just getting to this. Have been at the vet emergency room all afternoon with a sick cat. Embarrassed to admit I am as beside myself with worry as I was any time I had to take the children to the emergency room.

Gosh, where's the Zen-like peace of mind I was supposed to acquire in my 70's?

And speaking of...agree with Tablet Jefa that all this torment of a young child is NOT entertaining and is NOT appropriate for a so-called comedy. Gunk up the adult romances all you want folks. But don't mess with the little 'uns. Basta ya!

The writers have really overdone the child-in-peril drama and I'm sick of it.

But, your creative, original recap was delightful Mads. Chatita could certainly hang out her shingle as a Relationship Counselor and actually charge for her advice instead of also doling out copious food and drink to her supplicants.

Thanks Mads. It was so hard watching Val cry her eyes out. I hope Jesus punches Rogue in his smug mug.

It was neat hearing Chitita point out to Elias what we have all noticed about him picking damaged women. But I actually want him and Paty to work out. They have the most honest relationship of them all.

I very much liked the woman who was singing at Discua's temple. I liked the song too. I can't remember if it was in Friday's or Thursday's episode, because I watched them back to back.

Thanks, Mads! Delightful as usual. I'll try to comment in more detail tomorrow when I have a computer I know how to use (the Lad has Windows 8, and as Judy says, basta ya.)

By the way, I saw the Mexican-American movie Instructions Not Included today. I recommend it.

Mads thanks so much for this creative recap. I enjoyed your "Tattler" much more than the show currently.

Judy - sorry to hear about your cat being at the vet. Praying for a speedy recovery. It is amazing how much we can get attached to our four-footed friends.

And add me to the list of those vexed with the perils of Val. Tormenting children is not comedy.

Emilia - your nieta is so big! They grow so quickly. And I love the idea you and Sylvia had for Rog's punishment.

Vivi - ITA about Eli and Paty. At first I wasn't a fan but she is trying to change and makes him happy. I am glad Chatita pointed out what we've all observed with Eli's choice of women.

Good Evening Y'all,

Thanks for all your kind words.

Emilia,

So happy to see you here. Your granddaughter sure has grown and what a doll!

EJ:

So happy to see you here too! This TN is really a hoot, although lately Val has been crying way too much. Moronica needs to go!

Guera:

So with you about the doll and Royer.

Jarifa:

I am with you too about Paty not going back to Royer. She is too good for him!

Cap'n Sylvia:

Thanks so much about what I missed about Mari. I am glad she is going to school, and I wonder what things she wants to learn on the internet, lol. I never did watch Teresa, but I used to hear the song all the time, and really liked it. It just seemed to fit Moronica ; )

Anon 3:00:

Thanks so much for the stuff I missed about Augusta. She is rather pushy. I wonder why she hates men so much and I agree, I think she can't stand her Daddy much either. But Chucho has that magic touch with women, they can't help it ; ) I did see Royer take the body out of the trash, but I missed the head. Thanks for that. At least he has all of the doll's pieces. I wonder what he plans on doing with them?

Cap'n:

I like your idea of Moronica keeping the necklace and seeing Royer sweat! They so deserve each other. The Douchbaggery is not my own. Elvira our Queen of the Screencaps came up with that word during LQPNA for Rogelio (Rohell) on that TN. It fits Royer and Moronica to a T. The song the girl sang was Friday. I don't know the name but Pablo might.

JudyB:

I really hope your cat is ok. It's hard when the little pets you have get sick. I agree with you about Chatita, but I like how she always gives a little type of treat to her various advisees, food sometimes soothes the soul ; )

Vivi:

It tears me up too when poor little Val cries. I am hoping the anvil for Moronica is huge, like a pie cart shaped like the moon and as big. I want her flattened and out for the count. There is no reason to put Val through all of this crap, just cause Moronica is a selfish, grasping harpy, and Royer is a selfish, vengeful douchebag. Sorry for the rant! I agree with you about Pato too. I wish her and Elias would stay together, they are so much fun! Thanks for the heads up of "instructions not included" it does look very funny.

Karen:

Thanks so much and weren't you the one that came up with the phrase: Lying liar that lies? I have always liked that phrase, and seems to work for at least one character in each TN ; )

Blue:

Thanks!

Mads: thanks for the great recap. Love the pic.

JudyB: hope your kitty gets better soon. They are our children. I still cry over Neo (weekends are the hardest) and it's been five months. However, we have a new addition, a five/six month old boy kitty named Bass.

I think what Rog did to the doll crossed the line. And I'm with all of you re: it being time to end the child abuse in this TN. I have to say, though, when Rog took the doll and was pretending it was walking away and he changed it to limping away--it cracked me up.

I like Pato and Elias together, but Chatita has a point. Maybe what will happen is that Elias will distance himself from Pato, but she'll continue to grow and they will get back together by the end.

Hope Augusta isn't going to be the Jesus/Alma breaker upper. If this TN follows the usual rules, they will break up for a little while. I think Jesus is a darling, but so sick of seeing every woman falling for him (yawn).

Glad Pato sent back the necklace and glad Vero knows she's not number one in anyone's life--except her own, of course.

Nanette

Forgot to say that I'm glad Jesus is going to defy the judge and go to Vale's birthday party.

Thanks, Mads! I love the format. I've been entertaining a similar idea, to do an advice column theme sometime soon, but that might be more of a side-project than a recap idea. Maybe tomorrow if the episode gets pre-empted by a press conference.

I don't get why Xochi should be upset about Ricardo seeing the LUZ. Xochi has no claim on Ric and never did; and if he gets mixed up with Discua, that keeps Discua away from Fernando. Right? Or is it because of Marisela? I'm not too worried about Mari. I'm sure she'll find someone.

Mads, I can tell you had a lot of fun writing about Rogue slithering around and committing dollycide. I wonder, was his violence against the Ayudante really about depriving Valentina of her favorite toy - or was he trying to do voodoo?? Because it would have been enough just to steal the dolly and throw it in the trash. Beheading it seems like overkill, so to speak.

Anyway. I think Vero should just keep the necklace without explanation, wear it EVERYWHERE, and let Rogue wonder if it's the same one he sent to Paty and how Vero got her hands on it.

I'm not too worried about Valentina. She's very resilient. Losing her doll is really the least of her problems, especially on her birthday with no daddy. I'm more worried about what her revenge will be like. She might shave off all his curls herself.

Judy, good luck with your cat. The few times my dog got sick were some of the longest days of my life. :-(

Thank you, Madame Mad! I'm really impressed with your reporters. There is no place they won't go to get the scoop!

Rogue is awful, but he's so funny being awful. I cracked up when he was crawling into Val's room with his heinie in the air, and then again when he made the doll limp. Surely Ray can get hold of some Nair to put in his shampoo bottle, right? The only tragedy of that would be that I wouldn't get to admire his handsomeness with the curls anymore, but it would be a worthwhile sacrifice. Maybe Vero would use it, too. Val could dust the inside of all his superstylish clothes with that polvo pica-pica that Julio had, too.

I don't mind Augusta nearly as much as her horrid brother. At least she seems concerned about Chucho's health, rather than actively poisoning him. I wonder if we'll meet the rest of Augie's gazillion children.

JudyB, I hope your kitty is feeling better today.

I agree that Rogue's dollycide was more about him taking out his aggression against Chucho than getting even with Val. The actor is really giving his all in this role, he's great.

Thanks all for your sympathy with my Kitty Parent plight. I blush to admit that I've got that queasy shaky feeling in my stomach...you know, the one you get when you're afraid something terrible is going to happen. Or it has just happened.

And you say, get a grip! This isn't a child. This is just your cat.

But of course it isn't "just a cat" or "just a dog" or even "just a hamster". It's a dear loving creature and friend. And it hurts to see them sick and bewildered. And you fear worse is to come. And every time you try to administer medicine they get more upset and look at you like "Why are you doing this awful thing to me and sticking this bitter, awful-tasting stuff down my throat?"

We're out of crisis today but she's listless and wants to snuggle all the time. Which is what we all need when we're sick I guess.

Anyway, thanks for caring and for sympathizing.

JudyB: So glad the baby is feeling better. Kitty is a member of the family pure and simple

Judy, I'm so glad your kitty is better. A day of snuggling sounds soothing for both of you.

JudyB, so glad to hear that kitty is getting better. As Nanette says pets are family members absolutely.

Well, I think of you ALL as family members too. So stay healthy please. And keep your fingers crossed for Kizzie, she's not as young as she used to be.

Okay, here are my faves for today:

- Please don't compare her to Mal-Kiddy who was recently sent off to school, was it High School?

- For Shame, you big grown man, stealing a little girl's dolly. I hope there is a Nanny cam in that room.

- Val starts to sing, "Esa hembra es Mala", no not that, but does call Moronica MALA! Yay, Val.

- Can't he find one normal woman? He is verklempt.

Blue Lass

JudyB you are so very sweet. I like your kitty's name.
