La Tempestad Cap #47. October 1st 2013. It Is Getting DamHot In R-Laydee Because His DamHotness Is Back
Good Morning Everyone! I'm working on the recap. In the meantime you all can discuss this episode here. Short summary of the episode - DamFab is free; Bagre drools over Ursula; Lots of eavesdropping on the bad guys; Robles gets an early start on Halloween; A nauseating marriage proposal; And a very distasteful stolen kiss. Oh and many people try to urge our lovebirds to get back together.
We begin in Mexico City, where Magda is threatening to slit her wrists with a broken piece of glass. Magda screams. Mercedes screams. Magda wants booze. Mercedes refuses to give her booze. Alicia and Chauffeur come into the room. Mercedes grabs Magda by the arm and pins her down on the bed. She runs off to get something leaving Alicia and Chauffeur holding Magda down.
Eavesdropping #1
In R-Laydee, Hernan is on the phone and telling Fulgencio about the DamAppeal. Hernan wants Fulgencio to eliminate Raul Suarez, the owner of the sailboat, because he could rat them out. Marcelino eavesdrops from afar. Fulgencio will be sending Dumb and Dumber err Valdivia and Lara to give Suarez a scare. Not sure why they keep on using these guys for their dirty work. They should know by now that they are useless. Anyway, Fulgencio says that he'll be heading off to Mexico City. He'll be hiring a lawyer too so DamFab can DamRot in the slammer.
At the slammer, DamFab is taken to solitary confinement. He speaks up and says Dragon started the fight. Evil Guard socks him in the stomach. DamFab is thrown into solitary confinement. Evil Guard breaks the light bulb with his club. Evil Guard will show DamFab whose boss around there. DamFab will remain in solitary confinement until he learns to obey. Guards leave. DamFab breathes heavily and is in pain.
Magda is sedated by Mercedes. Mercedes will take Magda to rehab. She apologizes to an unconscious Magda for what she is about to do.
Marina wonders if she did the right thing at accepting Hernan. The Patio all yells at their TV screens - "No you most certainly did NOT do the right thing". Rebeca comes into the room wanting to talk. Marina doesn't want to talk about DamFab or Hernan. Marina has already made her decision. Rebeca doesn't want Marina to see her as enemy. Rebeca loves Marina and only wants what is best for her. Marina apologizes and she and Rebeca embrace. Marina admits she still loves DamFab. But she can't tolerate DamFab treating her how he has treated her. Marina has even come to think that DamFab hates her. Rebeca assures Marina that DamFab could never hate her. Marina wants to know how Rebeca could be so sure. Does she know something that she doesn't know? Rebeca remembers being sworn to secrecy about the truth behind the breakup. Rebeca says DamFab is incapable of hating anyone unless they touch what he loves. Marina is not convinced. She strongly believes DamFab wooed her to subdue her and then put her aside. Rebeca looks like she really wants to spill the beans but she knows she can't. Marina doesn't want to know anymore about DamFab. She doesn't even want to hear his DamName. Rebeca asks Marina if she believes Hernan will fill the DamHole that DamFab left. Marina is not sure but she believes that she deserves happiness even if it is with a man who she does not love. Where is the logic in that? How could you find happiness with someone you don't love. Mejia Mejia Mejia. Rebeca asks Marina to think it through so she won't regret it. Marina thinks back to Rebeca's words about thinking it through so she won't regret it. Listen to your aunt, Marina!

Dumb and Dumber err Valdivia and Lara inform Fulgencio that Suarez fled town. Fulgencio is not happy to hear this. He says Suarez betrayed him after all. He's sure Suarez fled town with the money he paid him. Toribio eavesdrops. Fulgencio informs his lackeys that he's off to Mexico CIty on business. Toribio enters with Mayuya's death certificate. Fulgencio snaps at Toribio and tells him to give the death certificate to Mayuya's father because he has no need for it. He orders Toribio to not mention the subject ever again and leaves.
Marina runs into Eusebia. Marina apologizes for not having gone to visit. Eusebia says no need to explain. Eusebia was reborn at a young age so she understands life. Marina has tried to leave all the things that have hurt her in the past. Eusebia tells Marina that everyone is in this world to fulfill a mission which is to try and be happy. Eusebia can see in Marina's look that despite the decision she made and even though she tries to hide it there will always be sadness in her heart. Marina hopes the sadness will go away once she is able to heal her wounds. Eusebia tells Marina that she won't be able to heal her wounds running away from her feelings and looking for love where she won't find it. Eusebia tells Marina that Marina already gave her heart to someone and she won't be able to give it to anyone else. Listen to this wise woman, Marina!
Delfina can't believe Fulgencio is going out of town the same day of Mayuya's funeral. Fulgencio could care less. He has stuff to do in the capital and it can't wait. He leaves. Delfina is sad because Fulgencio does not comprehend her and because she knows she'll never have Fulgencio's support. Ursula tells Delfina that she'll support her if Fulgencio does not. Of course it won't be the same since Fulgencio is her husband. Ursula tries to convince Delfina to leave Fulgencio. She tells Delfina that she does not need Fulgencio because after all she has her own economic resources. In fact, Casa Salazar is actually Casa Delfina because Delfina inherited it from her parents. Delfina would never leave Fulgencio. She strongly believes that a good wife must stand by her man. Ursula respects Delfina's way of thinking. But it hurts Ursula to see the way Fulgencio treats Delfina. Ursula thoughtbubbles that the best thing that could happen to her is Delfina leaving Fulgencio so Delfina can share her fortune with her. What a two faced b*tch....
Esther/Hada has blurry flashbacks ending with her nonwedding to DamFab. She is now sure that she is was already married to DamFab. She wonders who DamFab is.
Magda wakes up and finds herself tied down to a bed at the rehab center. She is furious and screams at Mercedes. Mercedes tries to explain. Magda wants Mercedes to leave. She yells at Mercedes that she hates her. Mercedes tells Magda that she loves her and leaves.
Eavesdropping #3
Ernesto is furious over the police raid in Tijuana. He wants to know who the rat was. Macario says they are investigating but they don't know yet. Ernesto blames the man in charge of the girls in Tijuana because the man did not know how to watch his back. He orders Macario to have the man killed. Esther/Hada eavesdrops and is shocked to hear this. Ernesto reminds Macario that the destiny of those who disappoint or betray him is death. Dun dun dun!
Mercedes thinks about Magda. Fulgencio barges in. Fulgencio won't let Mercedes free DamFab. He'll hire a lawyer to sink DamFab further. Mercedes tells Fulgencio to leave DamFab alone. The only way Fulgencio will leave DamFab alone is if Mercedes offers him an apology for all these years that she has rejected him. Mercedes makes it clear to Fulgencio that even if he were the last man on earth she'd never pay any attention to him. Ruh roh! She calls him a murderer. Fulgencio denies being behind Michel's death. Mercedes is sure Fulgencio killed Michel. Fulgencio says that sadly DamFab didn't have the same fate as Michel. Both of them should have been eaten by the sea, says Fulgencio. Mercedes kicks Fulgencio out. She starts to leave but Fulgencio grabs her by the arm. He tells her that he can make her happy and plants a kiss on her lips. Mercedes immediately pushes his bearded slimy face away and she slaps him. She's disgusted by him. Fulgencio tells Mercedes that she doesn't know how much he hates himself for still loving her. It is the punishment that he'll suffer all his life. He leaves. Mercedes wipes away the kiss from her lips. Go and brush your teeth, Mercedes!
Esther/Hada talks to Hernan on the phone. She tells him that she knows that she was married to DamFab but can't remember him. Hernan confirms that she's married to DamFab. Ester/Hada wants to see DamFab. Hernan tells her that DamFab is in prison because he's a murderer. Esther/Hada wants to see DamFab so he can tell her all that he knows about her. Hernan tells Esther/Hada that it is not convenient especially since she and Ernesto are newlyweds. He tells her that Ernesto does not forgive a humiliation. Esther/Hada agrees with Hernan. She tells him how Ernesto ordered someone's death. Hernan tells her that she'll have the same fate if she looks for DamFab and tells her to leave things as they are. He'll let her know when she can talk to DamFab.
DamFab is in a dark solitary confinement room. He thinks about how his life has gone deteriorating more and more. He's falling into a well that he can't get out of. Even if it hurts him to go through all of this at least he has the consolation that he did not take Marina with him.
At La Guacamaya, it is the debut of the show. Ursula is announced by Rebeca and Candy. Ursula dances on stage in a sexy attire and moves her hips. She wows the audience. Crew is having a blast. Especially Bagre whose eyes are popping out at the sight of Ursula in that sexy attire with the feather in the back. He's drooling all over her.
Time is passing montage
Hernan and Marina work; Ursula visits DamFab in prison and makes him laugh; Mercedes reads to Magda in rehab and Magda is not interested; Hernan and Marina paint the daycare center and they play around; Ernesto puts his ear on Esther/Hada's baby bump; More reading from Mercedes to Magda and Magda has a kill me now face; The opening of the daycare center; Hernan plays around and goes into one of those playground tunnels (I'd disinfect that before the kids use it. Do they have Clorox in Mexico?)
Six Months Later
Hernan sports a pink shirt and some short khakis. He tells Marcelino that today is a special day and he wants Marina to be pleased. Marcelino assures him that all is ready. Hernan says that Marina will be surprised.
Mercedes visit DamFab in prison and tells him that all is ready for the DamAppeal. He thanks her for all that she has done for him. Mercedes tells him that Fulgencio has been intervening to ruin the DamAppeal but she'll do what she can so Fulgencio won't get what he wants. DamPessimistic hopes that will be the case although he has already accepted the idea that he may spend many years of his life locked up.
Marina and Hernan take a stroll in a nice place by a lake. Marina mentions how DamFab once told her that love and hate were close to each other. She now understands his words. Hernan does not believe that love and hate go hand in hand. He sweet talks her. No need to recap what he says. Marina admits that in those six months Hernan has proved to love her and she has started to feel affection for him. This makes Hernan happy. He kisses her on the cheek and hugs her. Blech!
DamFab is in his cell and is DamPessimistic about the DamAppeal trial. Claudio is more optimistic and tries to convince to DamFab to feel DamOptimistic too. DamFab thanks Claudio for all that he has done for him. He has been the teacher that the student didn't expect. They share a nice bromance hug. This better not be the end of Claudio.
Toribio whines about his job at the police station. Valdivia is supposed to keep order but he's nothing but Fulgencio's lackey. Marcelino says that it is no secret that Fulgencio is the boss around town. Toribio believes they should have an official authority in town. They should hold elections and name candidates and take a vote. Toribio is starting to feel afraid of what is happening because Fulgencio gives orders without touching his heart. Who knows how many dead bodies he has on his plate, says Toribio. Marcelino then talks about a conversation that Hernan had with Fulgencio that scared him. Olinto thinks they should quit. He could find them a job at the packing plant. Although not sure how that will help since Hernan is an associate of the packing plant. Toribio and Marcelino are afraid of their bosses. Olinto understands their fear. They all take their leave. Lazaro walks past Olinto and a homeless man bumps into him. He asks for money and Lazaro gives it to him. Homeless guy reveals to Lazaro who he really is - Robles in disguise.
Hernan asks Bea for Marina's hand in marriage. He makes a nauseating marriage proposal to Marina. Bea is all smiles. Rebeca not so much. Marina is surprised. I want to hurl. Marina the idiot accepts the proposal. Hernan is all smiles and kisses Marina. Rebeca looks like she wants to hurl. Bea smiles. Hernan embraces Marina and Marina whose face is over the shoulder looks like she wants to hurl too.
At the DamAppeal, the jury is about to give their verdict. We don't find out what it is just yet.
Esther/Hada has been able to remember more things in those six months thanks to Hernan. Even though for her they are isolated situations and things without sense she has the pieces of the puzzle and now she only has to build that puzzle. Ernesto comes into the room and asks what's up. Esther/Hada says she's thinking about their baby. She can't wait until their baby is born. He rubs her belly and says that he can't wait either. That day will be the happiest day of his life.

Marina and JazLu run into DamFab wearing a DamRedShirt. They lock eyes.

Hernan is furious that DamFab is DamFree and has returned. Fulgencio says out loud how Suarez lied on the stand and testified against DamFab because they paid him and threatened him. Marcelino eavesdrops. Let's take a vote: Will Marcelino survive this TN?
Marina is cold with DamFab and doesn't want to hear what DamFab has to say. She tells him that they'll talk another moment.
Fulgencio assures Hernan that nothing can involve them in the lies Suarez told. It turns out that Suarez made another declaration where he said that DamFab had not put the explosives on the sailboat. Since Suarez is not in Mexico anymore the case has been closed. I guess perjury isn't a crime in Mexico. Fulgencio tells Hernan to watch his back - not only because of his business but because he's at risk that Marina fall into DamFab's DamManlyMuscular arms again. Hernan thinks this is nonsense. Hernan tells Fulgencio that Marina and him are getting married. Fulgencio is not sure about that upcoming wedding. Marcelino hears all of this.
Marina thinks back to the DamEncounter with DamFab. She admits that she still loves him.
At La Tempestad, DamFab thanks God for giving him the opportunity to return to his home. He tells himself that everything looks the same although he knows that things have changed and they won't go back to being how things were before. DamFab thinks about Marina. He doesn't see that shine in her look that illuminated his soul. He blames himself for having caused that. He believes that Marina has stopped loving him although he'll never be able to forget her even if he tries.
Magda is back at home from rehab. Mercedes wants Magda to start a new life. She wants Magda to study. Magda doesn't want to study. She wants to work. She wants to be in charge of one Mercedes' businesses. Mercedes will put her in charge of one of her businesses but she tells Magda that she has to prepare herself. Magda has to learn to value what she has.
Sweet scene with DamFab and the kids. Kids are happy to see DamFab. DamFab buys them some ice cream.
Marina tells Hernan about her DamEncounter with DamFab. Hernan gets jealous and wants to know all that happened. Marina tells him they only saw each other for a moment. He wanted to talk but she told him they'd talk later. Then each of them parted ways.
The crew wearing all white are happy to see DamFab. They share a nice group bromance hug. Hey, the cook has a name - its Gumaro. DamFab is happy to learn that Lazarus is back to working on La Tempestad.
Marina admits that she feels confused. Seeing DamFab brought all her DamMemories back. Hernan wants to know if this means that her love for DamFab came back. It never went away, dude! Marina doesn't know. She wants to cancel the engagement party. Hernan gets desperate and doesn't want the engagement party to be cancelled. He throws in her face that he has supported her get out of her depression and he doesn't want for her to make the same mistake twice. Blah blah blah. He goes on with his BS about DamFab not deserving her love. He thoughtbubbles that he won't allow himself to lose Marina.
Robles in his homeless guy disguise says that the investigation brought him back to R-Laydee. He knows their is a head in the capital but the direct contacts in that area are Hernan and Fulgencio. Lazarus thinks it will be easier for him to investigate since Hernan and Fulgencio believe he croaked. Lazarus thanks Robles for saving Belen. Since then JazLu is more calm. Robles tells Lazarus that he has accepted that JazLu is not for him. He won't intervene in their relationship. He will focus on his work to bring down the organization.
DamFab enters Marina's office. He has come to put himself to the packing plant's disposition. Marina tells him that from now on Olinto will give him instructions. Since he's there though she'll give him the Fish Calendar. DamFab notices the ring on Marina's hand and asks him if she's engaged. Are you getting married? he asks. Hernan comes into the office and says that Marina and him are getting married. Hernan invites DamFab to the engagement party. DamFab says that he'd love to go but he'll be busy. He leaves. Hernan tells Marina that all will be well.
Hernan confronts DamFab outside. He doesn't want DamFab to get near Marina. Who is going stop me, you? asks DamFab. Hernan wants DamFab to know how much pain he has caused Marina. He doesn't want DamFab to hurt Marina again. If DamFab is a gentlemen then he won't get near Marina again. DamFab tells Hernan that he's no one to tell him what to do. He has always given Marina her place and he will keep on doing it. Did you give her her place when you toyed with her and almost broke her heart? asks Hernan. DamFab tells Hernan that what he did was in the name of love. Hernan tells DamFab that he has a DamCruel way of loving. Hernan doesn't want DamFab to hurt Marina again. ShutupHernan.
Padre visits Lazarus at La Guacamaya where he rents a room. Padre has to talk with Lazarus man to man.
Marina tells Bea and Rebeca that DamFab is DamFree. Bea is glad that justice was done. But she hopes that DamFab doesn't bother Marina anymore. Rebeca is all smile to hear that DamFab is DamFree. She advises Marina to put a stop to this madness of her engagement with Hernan. Bea can't believe that Rebeca is advising Marina that. Rebeca says that now that DamFab is back things have to be solved between them. Rebeca says that there is still time. Marina says that DamFab wanted to talk to her. Rebeca tells Marina to talk to him because DamFab has many things to tell him. Its time Marina knows the truth but Rebeca can't tell her what truth she's talking about because DamFab is the only one that can tell her. She's sure that when Marina hears the truth the way she sees DamFab will DamChange completely.
DamFab tells Eusebia that he was not ready to see Marina with Hernan. Even though he knew they were seeing each other thanks to Ursula. Eusebia asks him if he doesn't think its time that the truth come out. There is no point to his DamSacrifice. Everyone knows Marina now and they know she's a good woman. Eusebia thinks DamFab should tell Marina the DamTruth but DamFab thinks it is too late. Eusebia tells him that he could still fight for her while she is not married yet. She tells him that its never too late to win back true love.
Marina admits how she's really feeling to Rebeca. Marina doesn't think she should still love DamFab after how he treated her. Rebeca wants Marina to hear DamFab out. Marina needs to think about what she'll do.
DamFab is with Oso and Bagre but his mind is thinking back to finding out that Marina is engaged. DamFab tells them about the engagement party. Bagre doesn't understand why DamFab pushed Marina away when he still loves her. Bagre and Oso urge DamFab to try and win back Marina's love. Just then, Ursula shows up. Mercedes is sure Fulgencio killed Michel. Fulgencio says that sadly DamFab didn't have the same fate as Michel. Both of them should have been eaten by the sea, says Fulgencio. Mercedes kicks Fulgencio out. She starts to leave but Fulgencio grabs her by the arm. He tells her that he can make her happy and plants a kiss on her lips. Mercedes immediately pushes his bearded slimy face away and she slaps him. She's disgusted by him. Fulgencio tells Mercedes that she doesn't know how much he hates himself for still loving her. It is the punishment that he'll suffer all his life. He leaves. Mercedes wipes away the kiss from her lips. Go and brush your teeth, Mercedes!
Esther/Hada talks to Hernan on the phone. She tells him that she knows that she was married to DamFab but can't remember him. Hernan confirms that she's married to DamFab. Ester/Hada wants to see DamFab. Hernan tells her that DamFab is in prison because he's a murderer. Esther/Hada wants to see DamFab so he can tell her all that he knows about her. Hernan tells Esther/Hada that it is not convenient especially since she and Ernesto are newlyweds. He tells her that Ernesto does not forgive a humiliation. Esther/Hada agrees with Hernan. She tells him how Ernesto ordered someone's death. Hernan tells her that she'll have the same fate if she looks for DamFab and tells her to leave things as they are. He'll let her know when she can talk to DamFab.
DamFab is in a dark solitary confinement room. He thinks about how his life has gone deteriorating more and more. He's falling into a well that he can't get out of. Even if it hurts him to go through all of this at least he has the consolation that he did not take Marina with him.
At La Guacamaya, it is the debut of the show. Ursula is announced by Rebeca and Candy. Ursula dances on stage in a sexy attire and moves her hips. She wows the audience. Crew is having a blast. Especially Bagre whose eyes are popping out at the sight of Ursula in that sexy attire with the feather in the back. He's drooling all over her.
Time is passing montage
Hernan and Marina work; Ursula visits DamFab in prison and makes him laugh; Mercedes reads to Magda in rehab and Magda is not interested; Hernan and Marina paint the daycare center and they play around; Ernesto puts his ear on Esther/Hada's baby bump; More reading from Mercedes to Magda and Magda has a kill me now face; The opening of the daycare center; Hernan plays around and goes into one of those playground tunnels (I'd disinfect that before the kids use it. Do they have Clorox in Mexico?)
Six Months Later
Hernan sports a pink shirt and some short khakis. He tells Marcelino that today is a special day and he wants Marina to be pleased. Marcelino assures him that all is ready. Hernan says that Marina will be surprised.
Mercedes visit DamFab in prison and tells him that all is ready for the DamAppeal. He thanks her for all that she has done for him. Mercedes tells him that Fulgencio has been intervening to ruin the DamAppeal but she'll do what she can so Fulgencio won't get what he wants. DamPessimistic hopes that will be the case although he has already accepted the idea that he may spend many years of his life locked up.
Marina and Hernan take a stroll in a nice place by a lake. Marina mentions how DamFab once told her that love and hate were close to each other. She now understands his words. Hernan does not believe that love and hate go hand in hand. He sweet talks her. No need to recap what he says. Marina admits that in those six months Hernan has proved to love her and she has started to feel affection for him. This makes Hernan happy. He kisses her on the cheek and hugs her. Blech!
DamFab is in his cell and is DamPessimistic about the DamAppeal trial. Claudio is more optimistic and tries to convince to DamFab to feel DamOptimistic too. DamFab thanks Claudio for all that he has done for him. He has been the teacher that the student didn't expect. They share a nice bromance hug. This better not be the end of Claudio.
Toribio whines about his job at the police station. Valdivia is supposed to keep order but he's nothing but Fulgencio's lackey. Marcelino says that it is no secret that Fulgencio is the boss around town. Toribio believes they should have an official authority in town. They should hold elections and name candidates and take a vote. Toribio is starting to feel afraid of what is happening because Fulgencio gives orders without touching his heart. Who knows how many dead bodies he has on his plate, says Toribio. Marcelino then talks about a conversation that Hernan had with Fulgencio that scared him. Olinto thinks they should quit. He could find them a job at the packing plant. Although not sure how that will help since Hernan is an associate of the packing plant. Toribio and Marcelino are afraid of their bosses. Olinto understands their fear. They all take their leave. Lazaro walks past Olinto and a homeless man bumps into him. He asks for money and Lazaro gives it to him. Homeless guy reveals to Lazaro who he really is - Robles in disguise.
Hernan asks Bea for Marina's hand in marriage. He makes a nauseating marriage proposal to Marina. Bea is all smiles. Rebeca not so much. Marina is surprised. I want to hurl. Marina the idiot accepts the proposal. Hernan is all smiles and kisses Marina. Rebeca looks like she wants to hurl. Bea smiles. Hernan embraces Marina and Marina whose face is over the shoulder looks like she wants to hurl too.
At the DamAppeal, the jury is about to give their verdict. We don't find out what it is just yet.
Esther/Hada has been able to remember more things in those six months thanks to Hernan. Even though for her they are isolated situations and things without sense she has the pieces of the puzzle and now she only has to build that puzzle. Ernesto comes into the room and asks what's up. Esther/Hada says she's thinking about their baby. She can't wait until their baby is born. He rubs her belly and says that he can't wait either. That day will be the happiest day of his life.
Its getting DamHot in R-Laydee....
Marina and JazLu run into DamFab wearing a DamRedShirt. They lock eyes.
Eavesdropping #4
Hernan is furious that DamFab is DamFree and has returned. Fulgencio says out loud how Suarez lied on the stand and testified against DamFab because they paid him and threatened him. Marcelino eavesdrops. Let's take a vote: Will Marcelino survive this TN?
Marina is cold with DamFab and doesn't want to hear what DamFab has to say. She tells him that they'll talk another moment.
Fulgencio assures Hernan that nothing can involve them in the lies Suarez told. It turns out that Suarez made another declaration where he said that DamFab had not put the explosives on the sailboat. Since Suarez is not in Mexico anymore the case has been closed. I guess perjury isn't a crime in Mexico. Fulgencio tells Hernan to watch his back - not only because of his business but because he's at risk that Marina fall into DamFab's DamManlyMuscular arms again. Hernan thinks this is nonsense. Hernan tells Fulgencio that Marina and him are getting married. Fulgencio is not sure about that upcoming wedding. Marcelino hears all of this.
Marina thinks back to the DamEncounter with DamFab. She admits that she still loves him.
At La Tempestad, DamFab thanks God for giving him the opportunity to return to his home. He tells himself that everything looks the same although he knows that things have changed and they won't go back to being how things were before. DamFab thinks about Marina. He doesn't see that shine in her look that illuminated his soul. He blames himself for having caused that. He believes that Marina has stopped loving him although he'll never be able to forget her even if he tries.
Magda is back at home from rehab. Mercedes wants Magda to start a new life. She wants Magda to study. Magda doesn't want to study. She wants to work. She wants to be in charge of one Mercedes' businesses. Mercedes will put her in charge of one of her businesses but she tells Magda that she has to prepare herself. Magda has to learn to value what she has.
Sweet scene with DamFab and the kids. Kids are happy to see DamFab. DamFab buys them some ice cream.
Marina tells Hernan about her DamEncounter with DamFab. Hernan gets jealous and wants to know all that happened. Marina tells him they only saw each other for a moment. He wanted to talk but she told him they'd talk later. Then each of them parted ways.
The crew wearing all white are happy to see DamFab. They share a nice group bromance hug. Hey, the cook has a name - its Gumaro. DamFab is happy to learn that Lazarus is back to working on La Tempestad.
Marina admits that she feels confused. Seeing DamFab brought all her DamMemories back. Hernan wants to know if this means that her love for DamFab came back. It never went away, dude! Marina doesn't know. She wants to cancel the engagement party. Hernan gets desperate and doesn't want the engagement party to be cancelled. He throws in her face that he has supported her get out of her depression and he doesn't want for her to make the same mistake twice. Blah blah blah. He goes on with his BS about DamFab not deserving her love. He thoughtbubbles that he won't allow himself to lose Marina.
Robles in his homeless guy disguise says that the investigation brought him back to R-Laydee. He knows their is a head in the capital but the direct contacts in that area are Hernan and Fulgencio. Lazarus thinks it will be easier for him to investigate since Hernan and Fulgencio believe he croaked. Lazarus thanks Robles for saving Belen. Since then JazLu is more calm. Robles tells Lazarus that he has accepted that JazLu is not for him. He won't intervene in their relationship. He will focus on his work to bring down the organization.
DamFab enters Marina's office. He has come to put himself to the packing plant's disposition. Marina tells him that from now on Olinto will give him instructions. Since he's there though she'll give him the Fish Calendar. DamFab notices the ring on Marina's hand and asks him if she's engaged. Are you getting married? he asks. Hernan comes into the office and says that Marina and him are getting married. Hernan invites DamFab to the engagement party. DamFab says that he'd love to go but he'll be busy. He leaves. Hernan tells Marina that all will be well.
Hernan confronts DamFab outside. He doesn't want DamFab to get near Marina. Who is going stop me, you? asks DamFab. Hernan wants DamFab to know how much pain he has caused Marina. He doesn't want DamFab to hurt Marina again. If DamFab is a gentlemen then he won't get near Marina again. DamFab tells Hernan that he's no one to tell him what to do. He has always given Marina her place and he will keep on doing it. Did you give her her place when you toyed with her and almost broke her heart? asks Hernan. DamFab tells Hernan that what he did was in the name of love. Hernan tells DamFab that he has a DamCruel way of loving. Hernan doesn't want DamFab to hurt Marina again. ShutupHernan.
Padre visits Lazarus at La Guacamaya where he rents a room. Padre has to talk with Lazarus man to man.
Marina tells Bea and Rebeca that DamFab is DamFree. Bea is glad that justice was done. But she hopes that DamFab doesn't bother Marina anymore. Rebeca is all smile to hear that DamFab is DamFree. She advises Marina to put a stop to this madness of her engagement with Hernan. Bea can't believe that Rebeca is advising Marina that. Rebeca says that now that DamFab is back things have to be solved between them. Rebeca says that there is still time. Marina says that DamFab wanted to talk to her. Rebeca tells Marina to talk to him because DamFab has many things to tell him. Its time Marina knows the truth but Rebeca can't tell her what truth she's talking about because DamFab is the only one that can tell her. She's sure that when Marina hears the truth the way she sees DamFab will DamChange completely.
DamFab tells Eusebia that he was not ready to see Marina with Hernan. Even though he knew they were seeing each other thanks to Ursula. Eusebia asks him if he doesn't think its time that the truth come out. There is no point to his DamSacrifice. Everyone knows Marina now and they know she's a good woman. Eusebia thinks DamFab should tell Marina the DamTruth but DamFab thinks it is too late. Eusebia tells him that he could still fight for her while she is not married yet. She tells him that its never too late to win back true love.
Marina admits how she's really feeling to Rebeca. Marina doesn't think she should still love DamFab after how he treated her. Rebeca wants Marina to hear DamFab out. Marina needs to think about what she'll do.
DamFab is with Oso and Bagre but his mind is thinking back to finding out that Marina is engaged. DamFab tells them about the engagement party. Bagre doesn't understand why DamFab pushed Marina away when he still loves her. Bagre and Oso urge DamFab to try and win back Marina's love. Just then, Ursula shows up. She kisses DamFab on the cheek. Bagre is drooling over Ursula. It comes out that DamFab and Ursula knew each other as kids and Ursula had been visiting him in prison. She made DamFab laugh and that made her happy. She asks DamFab to come and see her dance and sing at the bar. DamFab will go when he can. She'll sing and dance like she never did before for just him. Marina just then walks a short distance past them and sees Ursula with her arms around DamFab's DamManlyMuscular arms. She's not happy to see what she sees.
AVANCES: Engagement party. DamFab arrives in Ursula's arms. Rebeca tells Marina that DamFab is waiting for her under the tree by the lake. DamFab tells Marina he still loves her and goes in for a kiss.

Oh my goodness, Mauricio, I was thinking about you trying to pin down this beast of an episode which was obviously made up of two or more that had gone through the special LooneyCompactor. It started a minute early, it spilled over about 7 minutes into the next hour, and there was no rehash -- it just picked up where it left off the night before. Plus there were several ragged transitions that were a giveaway for cuts (like the appeals court to DamExonerated on the streets of R-Lay-Dee with no verdict and no goodby to Claudio).
I have to say that as a viewer, I loved the fast pace of things. I'm hoping we see Marina break it off with creepy Hernán tonight. Her boyfriend's back and he's gonna be in trouble. Or so one fondly hopes.

I like the calmer Mags. Hopefully she is as astute as Marina and does well in one of Mercy's bidnesses.

I too loved the return of Robles. This was the first time a disguise fooled me in a show in a long time.

I had to FF through that horrible proposal and, like Diana, I can't wait to see what happens when Dam and Marina "chat."

Marina must be really slow-witted, Becky did everything but explain using apples and pears (borrowing an expression from Nikki... captas?) that there's more to Damián's rejection than meets the eye. Duh.

I prefer to think of Marina as naive, rather than dim-witted. She and Mags are a natural experiment -- Nature vs Nurture, Genetics vs Environment.
Her role model has been Beatriz, after all. Maybe if Ariel Reverte had lived... But yes, she should have been more attentive to what Becky was trying so desperately to communicate.

Mauricio- Thank you so much for this great and detailed recap. I am so far behind now, I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up before leaving for vaca in a few days. I think I have to watch this episode for Robles and he disguise, and to see Dam's return. Of the episodes last week, I think I just need to find the episode where Becky and Jose kissed and watch that scene. Anything else? I did see the episode when Mayuya was used and discarded by Fully.
