La Tempestad Cap #57. 10/15/13 In The Words Of Maury Povich "You ARE The Father" Or Is It "You Are NOT The Father"
Where is Maury when we need him?
*Cut Scenes will be in this color
Marina wants to be alone. DamRespectful will respect her decision. He doesn't want to pressure her. He reminds her that he'll always be by her side and that he is hers. They kiss and embrace. He leaves. Marina cries.
DamFab tells Bea and Mercedes that he'll give Marina time. Mercedes thinks it is the best decision. Both Marina and DamFab need to be calm to face what is to come. Bea hopes DamFab can solve the PesterEsther situation. However, Bea knows that Pesthercita won't give up without a fight. DamFab assures them that nothing will stop him from fighting for Marina and his happiness. He leaves. Mercedes tells Bea that now was not the time to tell DamFab that she saw Pesthercita preggers. Bea agrees with Mercedes. Although she is aware that they are only prolonging this terrible blow.
Hernan reminds Pesthercita that NO ONE can know that it was he who brought her back to R-Laydee. Pesthercita's lips are sealed. It is also to her convenience that no one find this out. Hernan forbids Pesthercita from signing the DamDivorce. Pesthercita is sure DamFab will attempt to get a divorce. She supposes that DamFab will use Marina's money to hire a good lawyer. Hernan will make sure Marina does not intervene. And it is up to Pesthercita to keep her DamFineHubby by her side.
*Marina cries and Bea comforts her.
*Marina remembers some DamFineMoments with DamFab. She remembers the time she and DamFab made a promise in church to love, respect, and be faithful to one another.
Pesthercita gloats that Marina will never use her white wedding dress. It'll be kept in some box gathering dust. Hernan says Marina will use the wedding dress with him. Pesthercita does what we all probably did - she laughs in his face. Marina would never marry him while she has the least bit of hope in getting back together with DamFine. Well, Pesthercita is there to take that hope away from Marina. Pesthercita has the resources to do it. And no Hernan is not just talking about Pesthercita's marriage to DamFine. Because FYI her son is alive and Hernan has him
Marina cries. Rebeca tries to convince Marina to fight so she and DamFine can be together. Marina will face this new test that destiny has brought them.
Pesthercita continues to not care about her missing son. Hernan tells Pesthercita that they'll use the Baby Card to control DamSoonToBeADaddy if need be. Pesthercita will do what is necessary to prevent a DamDivorce.
Mexico City
Magda is passed out drunk. Her drinking buddies just leave her there.
R-Laydee
DamPissed is umm DamPissed when Pesthercita comes to apologize. He wants ThePest out of his sight. She does what she does best - whine and whine and be a umm pest. DamFab is DamCrazy for a DamDivorce. He tries to walk away but ThePest grabs him by the arm. He asks her not to touch him. She asks for another opportunity. She tells him that he couldn't have married her without having any feelings for her. He reminds her that he married her to SAVE her honor. There was NO LOVE in the marriage. DamFab wants a DamDivorce. Pesthercita begs DamFab not to leave her. She plants a big kiss on those DamLusciousLips of his. Marina arrives just in time to witness it. DamFab pulls ThePest off of him. But the damage is done. He realizes Marina witnessed the kiss. Marina leaves. DamFab goes after Marina despite ThePest attempts to stop him.
Ursula is pissed at Hernan for leaving her to go after Marina. Hernan reminds her that their "relationship" is pretend. He doesn't like her making a scene. He tells her that he's only interested in Marina. Ursula goes in for the slap but Hernan stops her. This gets them both in the mood because they begin sucking face.
*They eventually have some wild sex. We eventually see the two of them naked in bed covered by some sheets. They go in for round two. Yuck! Someone throw cold water on these two.
*When Ursula leaves Hernan's pad she runs into Nereo who has the hots for her. She rejects him of course.
Mercedes comes home frantic. She's told by Alicia that a search party is out looking for Magda. Phone rings. Mercedes answers.
ShutUpRosy demands Fully to send Lazarus off to a naval academy. If he doesn't then she'll tell everyone that he raped her and that Lazarus was born from that rape.
Magda is being brought home. Mercedes tells Alicia that Magda was found drunk.
Fully can't believe ShutUpRosy would actually tell such a lie. Isn't she supposed to be religious? Umm I guess not because she says she's capable of doing anything to separate Lazarus from JazLu. ShutUpRosy.
A passed out drunken Magda is carried into bed by the non-manly muscular arms of the Chauffeur. The WhoreSeekingButHeartOfGoldTaxiDriver found Magda. Mercedes will take Magda back to rehab.
*Magda is in rehab again.
DamFab almost runs over Hernan with his jeep. They have a confrontation. Hernan doesn't understand what Marina saw in DamFab. Well, Hernan can't understand because he didn't get the same view Marina got when she met DamFine. DamFab doesn't understand why he didn't run Hernan over when he had the chance. Hernan says that DamFab will always be DamUnEducated and will always want to solve things with DamViolence. DamFab has heard enough and drives off.
DamFab arrives at Marina's house. Doña Rufi is in tears. She tells DamFab that Marina left town forever. She tells him that Marina went to the capital. Hernan arrives and hears the news. DamFab asks if they left a while ago. Maybe he can reach them. Doña Rufi doesn't think he can reach them. She tells DamFab and Hernan that Marina, Bea, and Rebeca took light luggage. Does that mean that they'll be back? asks DamFab. Doña Rufi assures him that they won't be back. Jose will be back though judging from what he left behind. Did they leave any contact info? Nope. No contact info was left.
*DamFab asks Doña Rufi to tell him and ONLY him if she finds out anything. SuxtobeyouHernan.
In the car, Marina cries. Rebeca asks her if she is sure what she is doing. Marina is sure. Rebeca tells her that things can be resolved. Marina says that only DamFine can resolve things. Bea and Rebeca are sure DamFine will divorce Pesthercita. Marina is confused. Leaving town will help her calm down and think things better to make a decision. Rebeca hopes it will be the right decision. It would hurt Rebeca if Marina ends up ruining her life and losing DamFine forever. Now that Pesthercita is back Marina is not so sure DamFine was completely hers.
DamLookingFineInThosePants leaves Bagre in charge while he comes back. He's off to the capital to look for Marina and won't come back without her. He will begin searching for Marina at Mercedes' place. ThePest shows up again to whine and to be a pest some more. She won't allow him to go after Marina. Not again. It is HIS obligation to be with her. My obligation? How many times do I have tell you that there is nothing between us? he asks. Pesthercita whines. He is her DamFineHubby and she is willing to do anything to win his love. DamFab doesn't want to hear more. He's not interested. He walks off La Tempestad. Pesthercita drops the bomb and lets him know she had his baby. DamImpactado is umm well impactado.
Mexico City
Marina and Family arrive at Mercedes' place. Mercedes convinces them to stay at her place. Alicia leaves with Marina and Rebeca to show them their rooms. Bea stays and wants to talk with Mercedes.
*Mercedes assures Bea there is no danger in Magda and Marina seeing each other while they stay there.
R-Laydee
DamFab begins the interrogation - We have a baby? Where is he? Why didn't you come back with him? Pesthercita tells him that someone kidnapped him. He doesn't believe her. Because if it were true then her reaction would have been different. It would have been the first thing she would have told him. Pesthercita tells DamFab that he has become DamCruel. How could he think that she'd invent something like this? He tells her that he simply can't believe her because all she has done is try to separate him and Marina. She accepts that she has always been jealous of Marina but she would never invent something so low. DamFab is not so sure. She may dress differently but she is still the same spoiled girl willing to do anything to get what she wants. Pesthercita tells him that she won't waste anymore time with him. If anything happens to their baby it will be his fault. She leaves. Bagre tells DamDaddy that it could be true. He advises him to find out the truth before making a decision.
DamFab is in church and tells Padre Tomas what Pesthercita told him. Padre Tomas is impactado. Padre Tomas tells DamFab that Pesthercita could be telling the truth. The timeline coincides. Pesthercita slept with DamFab on the day of her coronation which happened a little over nine months ago. DamFab was thinking the same thing. Padre Tomas tells DamFab that the baby could be his. DamHeartOfGold will do what it takes to get the baby back even if it is not his son.
DamFab tells Olinto about his trip to the capital. He tells Olinto that he's leaving Bagre in charge of La Tempestad while he's gone. DamFab has bought himself a cell phone (finally) and he gives Olinto the number. Olinto's phone rings. It's Marina. DamFab wants to speak to Marina. Marina wants to speak to DamFab too. DamFab wants to explain his situation with ThePest. Marina tells DamFab that he doesn't need to explain. She knows ThePest is willing to do anything to be with him. DamFab tells Marina that he's going to look for her and wants to know where she is. Marina doesn't want him to come looking for her. He tells her that he has to. He tells her that he found out something that he has to tell her that can't be said on the phone. She tells him that they'll talk when she is ready to see him. She says that if she left town it was to put her thoughts in order. She admits to him that it hurt her when she saw ThePest's lips all over his DamLusciousLips. DamFab wants Marina to forget about ThePest for a moment and think about them. Marina needs time because Pesthercita demanding her wifely rights is hard for Marina DamFab can understand this but no matter how much ThePest demands he won't give in. He tells her that she's the woman that he loves and who he wants to be with. Marina tells him that sometimes it is not enough to want things. That is why she has to be far away from town. DamFab can't be far away from Marina. He needs to see her and talk to her. He needs to tell her something that could change their relationship forever. Dun dun dun!
Crew accompanies DamFab to the bus station. Crew is there for DamFab. DamFab gets on the bus.
Hernan slimes his way into Mercedes' place. Marina rolls her eyes. I'm not joking. Marina actually did roll her eyes. Anyway, Marina tells Hernan that she doesn't want to see anybody. Hernan understands. But he can't leave her alone. Blah blah blah. What else is new? Marina doesn't want to cause him problems with Ursula. That's no problem because Ursula supports him. She even came along too.
Ursula talks to Pesthercita on the phone. Ursula is in the capital to make sure Hernan looks for Marina. Pesthercita hopes Ursula isn't double crossing her. Ursula assures her that she is not double crossing her. Ursula will let Hernan win over Marina to convince her not to return to town while Pesthercita works to keep her DamFineHubby with her. Pesthercita does not understand how come Ursula lets Hernan get near Marina if she's interested in him. Because if she doesn't then she will lose any possibility with Hernan. Ursula tells Pesthercita not to worry about her and to focus on getting DamFine's attention. Ursula hangs up and tells herself how she won't do anything to help Pesthercita be with DamFine.
*JazLu found out she was pregnant thanks to a home pregnancy test. She told Lazarus who was overjoyed with the news. Later, Lazarus and JazLu tells the crew and Candy about the pregnancy and they congratulate them.
Padre Tomas congratulates Lazarus and JazLu because of the baby that is on the way. ShutUpRosy arrives. She is told the news. She thinks it is too fast for them to become parents but she has no choice but to congratulate them. She thoughtbubbles how JazLu got preggers to control Lazarus. ShutUpRosy.
DamFab hires Jose as his divorce attorney. The DamDivorce will be complicated but not impossible. DamFab knows damn well that the DamDivorce will be complicated. He asks Jose what other alternatives they have. They could try and negotiate with Pesthercita so the DamDivorce could be of mutual agreement. Jose says Pesthercita is ambitious maybe if they offer her some money. DamFab reminds Jose that Pesthercita is also spoiled and won't let him go that easily. Jose will start the divorce process. It will take time though. If they can't reach an agreement with Pesthercita it could take months or maybe even years. Yikes!
Pesthercita finds out from Olinto that DamFab is out of town. Olinto mentions the cell phone. Why? Pesthercita tells Olinto that she and DamFab have a kidnapped baby. Olinto is impactado. Pesthercita says the kidnappers called and DamFab has to talk to them. Please give me the phone number. Do it for my child's life.
Hernan wants to go out with Marina. Marina doesn't. Hernan will leave. Marina apologizes to him. Marina gets dizzy and passes out. Hernan tries to make Marina come to.
DamFab is on the bus thinking about how huge the city is. He'll do what it takes to recover his son and Marina. His phone rings. It is ThePest. She tells him that the kidnappers called and she gave them his number. It is up to DamFab to get their son back.
Hernan takes advantage of Marina being passed out to put his slimy hands on her and hover over her. He goes in for the kiss. But Alicia comes into the room just time. Hernan stops what he is doing and says Marina passed out. Rebeca comes running to see what is happening. Marina comes to. They will take Marina to see a doctor.
DamFab arrives in the city.
Pesthercita calls Hernan and tells him that DamFab is awaiting the kidnappers call. Hernan is pissed that Pesthercita was not able to prevent DamFab from coming to the capital. He'll torment DamFab with the kidnapping of his supposed child.
*DamFab walking around the capital looking DamFine. He asks for directions to Mercedes' place. He gets on the capital's bus for the first time. He knows for sure that he is a man of the sea and not a city man.
Marina, Hernan, and Rebeca arrive back at Mercedes' place. DamFab is there waiting for Marina looking DamFine. He wants to talk with Marina. Marina goes on again about needing time. Hernan intervenes and tells DamFab that Marina doesn't want to see him. Hernan wants DamFab to leave. They have a confrontation. DamFab punches Hernan out. Bea wheels herself in. She tells the two suitors that they can't be fighting like that here. Hernan apologizes and leaves. Marina wants to left alone with DamFine. DamFine and Marina argue a little over DamFine having punched out Hernan. DamFine wants Marina to fight for their love. He confesses to Marina that Pesthercita had his baby. Marina is impactada.
*Basically, Nereo came over to Fully's. He wants to be paid. Fully doesn't have the money to pay him since they are without a boss at the moment. Nereo threatens to spill the beans if he does not get paid. Fully tried to get Delfina to sign some papers to sell some land that she inherited so he can pay off Nereo. She agrees to sign the papers on the condition that he try to convince Pesthercita to stay at their home.
*ShutUpRosy came back to demand that Fully send Lazarus off to the naval academy. This time Delfina sees ShutUpRosy. ShutUpRosy tells Delfina that she came over to thank Fully for offering to send Lazarus to a naval academy. ShutUpRosy leaves. Delfina questions Fully about this. Fully says that he's doing it to gain back popularity. Lazarus is the nephew of the priest after all. Nice save, Fully!
Pesthercita is leaving. Fully tries to convince her to stay. Pesthercita will leave anyway. She lets her parents know that they'll be in charge of supporting her financially until her DamFineHubby comes back. She leaves. Fully tells Delfina that he did his part. He wants her to sign some papers to sell some land. Delfina will sign the papers because they need the money to support their daughter financially. Delfina wants Fully to continue trying to win back Pesthercita's affection.
Marina can't leave a baby without his father. DamDaddy doesn't want to leave the baby without a father either. But they could be together anyway and fight for that child together. Marina asks DamFab to leave and to not look for her again.
DamFine arrives at his hotel room and tells himself that he needs to be strong. His son needs him. He'll file a police report.
Marina and Rebeca talk about the baby. Rebeca wonders where the baby is. Marina says she doesn't know. DamFab wanted to tell her more but she didn't want to listen. Marina will get her test results tomorrow. Mercedes comes into the room. Mercedes invites Rebeca and Marina to the nightclub. Bea is already getting ready.
DamFine arrives in his hotel room. He tells himself that he can't just wait and do nothing. He receives a phone call from Macario and Hernan. Baby cries into the phone. DamFab asks the "kidnappers" not to harm the baby. He wants to know where they have his son. Macario tells him that they wanted him to know that his baby is still with them. They'll call again later. DamDaddy wonders what they are doing to the baby and hopes the baby is fine.
*Pesthercita talks with Jose. Pesthercita makes her demands. She wants DamFab to set up a house for her with all the comforts that she deserves. She leaves. Jose says to himself that the divorce process will be a long one.
*Pesthercita goes off and buys a house. She has the contract made out to Esthercita Salazar de Fabre. She says that she'll live in that house with her DamFineHubby
*After finding out that Marina left town, Hernan and DamFab have a confrontation outside. Hernan blames DamFab for Marina's suffering. DamFab tells Hernan that Hernan is the one who suffers when Marina and him are together. DamFab doesn't want Hernan running after Marina like a lapdog. DamFab leaves. Hernan says that won't be possible.
*Ursula is smart. She tells Hernan that she should come along with him to the capital because if Hernan goes alone then Marina will reject him because she'll think he wants to woo her but if she comes along then Marina will think that he's there as a friend. Hernan agrees to have Ursula come along with him.
*Jose and Rebeca have a nice moment. She thanks him for how nice he has been to her and her family. He tells them that he does it with pleasure. He has affection for them and well Rebeca knows his feelings for her. Before he leaves to go back to R-Laydee, Jose plants a kiss on Rebeca. He tells her that it is so she doesn't miss him.
*Pesthercita calls Hernan. She tells him that she had to tell DamFab that their baby was kidnapped. Hernan tells Pesthercita that she's lucky that the baby has blonde hair and light colored eyes and that the baby doesn't look anything like Ernie but like Pesthercita. That way DamFab will think the baby is his. Pesthercita tells Hernan that maybe they'll have to forge some documents to convince DamDaddy about his paternity. Hernan tells her not to worry about that. He asks her to please keep DamFab from coming to the capital. She won't let DamFab be with Marina. Hernan says that DamFab will never be Marina.
*This happens before DamFab talks with Padre Tomas. DamFab talks to God in church. He doesn't know what to do. He asks for God's help in how to act. He doesn't know if he should believe Pesthercita. He can't be calm knowing that something could happen to an innocent child whether or not the child is his.

But first of all, thank you Mauricio for the stupendous recap and bless you for filling in the blanks. I did NOT have time to try to watch, what, two episodes crammed into one? I would rather read your take on it anyway.
Excuse me but I have a headache. Why? Because Pestercita is a friggin' harpy on jet fuel! Shut. The. Fudge. Up!!!! Oh my achin' head; her incessant shrieking was making me crazy. Obviously she never passed "How to snag a man 101".
I'm with Marea Primavera (comment on the last post), Marina's being a wimp. But hey, we need that whole "fight for love but stretch it out for a few months" crap, right?
Mauricio, every time you said "umm" it totally cracked me up. Love the recap! More tomorrow because I'm going to bed now. Thank you for getting the recap up so quickly. You rock!

When DamFine found out about that "bebe" Ester had, I thought he would have a cow. Really!!! I don't think that bebe is DamFine's and if he's smart he'll get a ADN test. I would if I were him. Also about the divorce. Why would it take that long? In other TNs they can actually get a divorce express that takes no time at all, even with children involved, figure the odds there. Oh, and also when DamFine came back after filing the police report, he did mention there was no record of the bebe. Of course there isn't. It was born under another name.
Why is Marina running away? Cause she is estupida, sorry, don't throw things at me, but I want her to stand up and fight for DamFine. Hasn't DamFine told her like a million times that he never loved Pester and the real reason he married the Pester? Really??? And what about Bea's health? I remember Doc Gonzales saying in the beginning that the sea air was way better for her than the D.F. I hope she goes back to RLayDee and woman's up!
Herny is an estupido times ten. Like DamGoodHeadOnHisShoulders would borrow money from Marina for a lawyer, Oh, Please! I just knew Jose would be on the case. And that house in RLayDee is that Jose's? I really like that house, btw.
I hope Pester really loses this time. She is really the same as she ever was, except with Fully. She is more demanding now. I kind of got a kick out of Ursully saying she wouldn't help Pester. Good. Mauricio: Damnhysterical title - most excellent! Difficult to pick favorites from so many wonderful lines but "Pesthercita does what we all probably did - she laughs in his face", "Pesthercita continues to not care about her missing son" and "Hernan doesn't understand what Marina saw in DamFab. Well, Hernan can't understand because he didn't get the same view Marina got when she met DamFine" were among them. This was detailed and insightful.
"Mercedes assures Bea there is no danger in Magda and Marina seeing each other while they stay there". Umm, really? Given Magda's penchant for running away, it's not unlikely she might show up at any given moment.
"Gorilla Glue" is a strong glue that literally cements anything and everything. It has nothing on Hernan, a human adhesive that cannot be ripped or cut off. His omnipresence is really becoming beyond annoying. Doesn't he have any work to do besides attaching himself to Marina at every opportunity? Ack.

Mauricio...you are a prince. For a while, I was in total agreement with the cut scenes since so many of them consisted of "Marina cries". Yes, I'm getting tired of her wilting and running after every setback although I know this is Telenovela Law for Extending Story.
Tried to see yesterday's episode on the computer but the video stopped after the first 10 minutes. Not sure I want to see this one at all (so the video will probably be perfect).

In PVAA the husband got the divorce underhandedly, they had two children, and he sold the house right out from under them. The divorce was legal it was done within a week! In RPEA the wife filed and was divorced within a week, she was pregnant but didn't tell her soon to be ex. I never knew a divorce could be so quick down there.

NM, that is one of the scenes that was cut out last week!!! The doggie was a gift from Jose and he wanted to name it Libertad, but Becky said no she was going to name it Jose because it covers her with kisses. Then in another scene from Monday (I think) she hollers "Jose, come!" and human Jose comes a'running but Becky tells him she meant the doggie. So then Jose gets all grumpy like maybe the doggie wasn't such a good idea after all. See all the cute stuff they are denying us? Hmmmmph!

Hey my bad about the dog. I think it occurred during my Friday recap. Jose got the dog from a rescue shelter. It might have been a PSA for rescue shelters. She did name him Jose, I think to make a dig at the human Jose ; ) I wasn't sure if they would be showing the little Yorkie again so I left it out. Sorry, mea culpa, mea culpa ; )
I have to say, I always like my galán to be well-dressed, wealthy, worldly, and it goes without saying, handsome. That is my escape from reality.

I just wanted to take him home with me.

Thanks for the recap Mauricio, especially the cut out scenes. Some of the scenes sounds important to be cut out. I just keep thinking of the poor souls who is watching this telenovela and doesn't know anything have been edited.

Carlos -- I too thought DamFab took his time time to pull Pester back. I almost called him DamYouShouldHavePulledHerBackSooner. I suppose it was done that way so Marina could witness it and make the abrupt decision to leave town.

If I were a big! muy macho hombre like Jose, I would resent not only having a dog named after me, but a teeny, tiny, squeaky little dog like a yorkie. I've always liked the idea of having a sweet , little yorkie , but if my big hubby ever stepped on him...that would be the end of the yorkie.

Mauricio, Gracias! What an awesome recap, and thanks for letting us know about the deleting scenes. I just loved the title too...It would be awesome to have Pesthercita, DamMaybeMyBabyDaddy, Marina, Herny, and maybe Ursula on the Maury Show. And then at some point have Ernesto (back from the dead) come in and say "I AM the father!"
I don't think I have ever seen a creepier character than Hernan. He has crossed the line too many times. And every time he touches Marina it makes me cringe. GROSS!
I too am already tired of hearing Pester yelling and pleading with DamTiredofTheWhiningToo. She should have some self respect. But she is so spoiled, she acts like a 5-year old.
