La Tempestad Capitulo 68 , Wed 10/30/13 - Lots of pining, too much whining, and too little reclining
Otra vez with the crazy cuts. Some scenes are out of order but hopefully it all makes sense. They cut out some key stuff again. Cut scenes are in PURPLE.
We start where we left off, with DamWistful and Marina separated in body but together in thought:
"Ay Marina." "Ay Damian." Our lovers pine for each other.
Hernan and Ursula have lunch. He thinks Fully is behind the telephone hijinks. Ernie is dead so it must be Fully. Ursula’s not so sure.
Meanwhile Fully fumes about running for Mayor. He’s also pithed because Hernan is trying to shoehorn him out of the mob. He won’t permit it because he wants to be the boss of everyone! He has someone who can look into Ernie’s will. Furthermore, if he (Fully) loses control then he won’t be able to defend Mercedes against those who are attacking her. Interesting.
Dam cuddles Michelito and coos, Do you want to know a secret? Nobody will ever separate us. Enter the Pester the Separator. (Relevant spelling hint: there is always A RAT in sepARATe.)
Marina tells her bebé she hopes he knows his papa, boo hoo. More scenes of Dam and Marina pining for each other.
Pester pesters Dam about them not sharing a bedroom. Really Red? She’s completely crazy and he says so. Dam bunks with Michelito because Pester takes too many sleeping pills and he doesn’t trust her. Pester says it’s the bebé’s fault for keeping her up all day. Yep, all the bebé’s fault. Dam tells her to beat it, he’s here for Michel, not for her.
Somehow Fully has gotten a hold of Ernie’s will really quickly. Everything goes to Ernie's wife. That would be Fully’s daughter Pestercita.
At Neptuno Marina sees moue-mouth Lucia and hauls her into her office. Lucia complains some MORE about her sadness and shares the love by pointing out Marina lost her guy too. Marina says she’s happy to be a mama and Lu should be happy for that too. They’re going to have their babies at about the same time. They bond.
Pester natters some more about she and Dam presenting themselves as the perfect family. DamSickAndTired couldn’t care less what the town thinks.
Pester gets a scary phone call from Darth PegLeg saying they’ll be together again. She is, now wait for it, impactada. “He’s dead he’s dead he’s dead” she hysterically cries. Dam comes in and asks if the threatening call was from Ernesto Contreras. He got a call too and he says he’s going to find out who’s doing this bad thing. She warns him about running off to see Marina and then calls Hernan.
Long Juan Silver and his sidekick Flint plan their escape. Nereo points out Pester is married but Long Juan sez nobody’s going to get in the way of his plan. It’s time to for the Revenge of Ernesto Contreras to commence, and Fulgencio’s going to help.
Ursully sneaks around Fully’s office looking for something (the FBI file?) but Tío Fully must have hidden it too well.
Padre T tells Laz not to be so hard on Nosy Rosy. ShutUpPadre! Laz pings Padre about his daddy. He knows he lives in R-LayDee because Fully told him so. Does Padre know who is his papi? Padre is keeping it shut and says it’s not his place to say, plus Laz should stay far away from that bad guy Fulgencio. Laz says Fully might be a bad guy but he has always treated Laz well, better than Mami has been treating him.
Padre tells his comforting statue of The Crucifixion that he’ll get between Laz and Fully even if he has to pay for it with his life. Nice knowin’ ya Padre.
Fully yells at NosyRosy that he’s going right now to the registry so Lazaro can have his name and he’ll do what it takes. Rosy laughs in his face and says if the town knows Laz is the product of rape (que?) he’ll never win the election. Now Fully is really pithed. He says “what rape?” and “do you want Laz to be the gossip of the town?” Nosy Rosy wants to know why Fully wants to stir the pot (remover las aguas) all of a sudden. Fully says Laz is going to be his successor and nobody, especially Rosy, is going to get in the way.
Herny sees DamIrritated and congratulates him on his marriage to Estercita. DamShutIt tells Herny to mind his own business. Herny rubs it in about losing Marina, the most wonderful woman in the world. DamIKnowWhatYouDid warns Herny to leave him and Marina alone because neither Hernan nor Fulgencio have clean pasts. Herny is dying to have a snappy retort but all he can muster up is a glare.
Pester cries that Hernan’s not answering his phone so he must be boinking her cousin. Well she’ll just go interrupt them. But Fully interrupts her with Ernie’s will, she as his wife will inherit everything. No, she says, she’s married to Damian and nobody else! Fully thinks otherwise and says she WILL tell Dam that the kid is not his but is of Ernesto Contreras! Do it or he’ll make sure she loses CapitanDamFabre forever. Choose.
Uh oh, the little skank who saw Laz’s undies and got him kicked out of school just happens to run into him on the streets of R-LayDee. She kisses him and Lucia sees. Laz pushes her away and Lucia doesn’t see. He yells at her that she ruined his life and Lucia doesn’t see. Thus the required telenovela trope is played out. Li’l Skank says no man tells her “No”.
Pester has found Herny and tells her about the creepy call she got. The Darth voice said soon they would be married again and very happy. Hernan doesn’t care much about that, but he does care that Pester is supposed to dump Dam and claim herself as Ernesto’s sole heir. Herny says he’ll take care of Fully.
Too bad they deleted this scene:
Ursully is still looking in Fully’s office. She hears Fully’s bellows and hides in the closet. Oh this is good. Fully opens the closet door but is interrupted by a phone call. So he turns around and blusters about being el jefe de la organización while we see Ursully biting her lips and wondering how to get out of this jam. She slowly closes the door. Sure hope it’s been oiled.
Bagre and Lagarto are romping in the surf grateful for good local ceviche and the lucky love lives of Dam and Lolo. But they are a little lonely and jealous. OK, where the hell is this going? Suddenly a lithe beauty in a bikini runs up and yells for help. Her friend is drowning! Bagre and Lagarto save the luscious victim and Bagre falls between her lovely bosom, oops sorry. Bagre tries to administer mouth to mouth even though the victim (Antonia from Abismo de Pasion) is coughing up seawater. Lagarto says she needs Tequila. Thankless Pink Bikini sends the boys on their way.
Ursully, still in her hidey hole, hears Fully tells someone he is the granddaddy of Ernie’s son so HE should be the mob boss. Fully walks out of the office and down the hall. Ursully sneaks out and thinks this info is worth gold. But Fully’s not the only one who can use the baby. She can also use it to get Dam and Marina back together and separate Herny from Marina forever.
Ursully looks at her necklace and says she’s playing a dangerous game. She can use Tío for her own interests and Hernan for her passions. She has to play them both very carefully.
Herny swims and drinks and plots to conquer Marina. What else. Ursully interrupts with a little skinny dip. Herny is definitely interested but he wants an update on Fulgencio. Zully pops in and Ursula can’t believe Zully’s still there. She says she and Hernan have lots of secrets. Zully just laughs and says she doesn’t feel like leaving yet. Herny insists HE doesn’t have any secrets but he protesteth mucho. Zully sashays off to bed. Hernan is so pithed at Ursula for saying they have secrets that he holds her head under water. I think it’s time for another tranquilizer crazy man.
Mexico City - Robles has his corkboard with all the usual suspects on it and he briefs his team. With Ernie’s death there are a few who could take his place, Fully, Hernan and Macario. But Macario is dead, no clues yet. They have to get close to Fully and Hernan and maintain their investigations. Pester’s not a suspect. Yet.
DamDaddy coos with his baby while Pester continues to cling to him and whine about their sleeping arrangement. He pushes her away and tells her to leave him in peace. He sighs and dreams about Marina.
La Guacamaya - Bagre and Lagarto brag to Candy and Lolo about the lovely victim and her friend. Candy thinks they are heroes for saving the girl.
Fully wants Delfina to influence her friends to vote for him. Nothing doing, she says, they’ll vote for the best option. He has to earn his own votes. He accuses her of disagreeing with him for fun, think of the big picture...Delfina Rivas, First Lady of R-LayDee. Delfina says great as long as he wins without trickery or manipulations. She’s a good wife but she won’t lie for him, and she has protected him from some past crimes where he could have gone to jail. She lied for him once but not again.
DamSweet cuddles his bebé. His crew shows up because he needs a favor. He wants them to secretly babysit while he slips out to visit Marina. I sure hope The Pest has taken lots of sleeping pills tonight. The baby seems happy to be hangin’ with the crew. Dam calls the bebé “Capi”, short for capitan, so cute!
DamCute stands outside Marina’s house and pines for her. She’s inside pining for him. He sneaks in, qué romántico! Says he hates being far from her. She hates it too but he has to leave. He thinks they should meet on the sly. Oh no, says she, she has her dignity so it’s better if they end it right now. ShutUpMarina, I like his plan. They go back and forth until DamSmart says OKSureFine, then Pestercita has finally won. He starts to leave and Marina grabs him. She doesn’t want him to leave; although they are separated he’s still the love of her life. She says the whole town knows he doesn’t love Pester and they deserve to be happy. Besos Ooh la la.
Jose arrives home with something for Bea or Becky. And hey, Becky’s got doggie Jose too! I was worried about him. She wants to sincerely thank him for being so good to her and her family. He says it’s too bad things didn’t work out between them but as he said before, he’s going to leave her alone. It’s time for him to find a woman who appreciates him and he and Becky will have a professional relationship. Becky no likee.
DamHawt and Marina snuggle and talk about their relationship and the kiddies. He sleeps with his hijo and can’t be separated from him, he’s such a DamGoodPapa. Even though he spends as much time with Michel as possible, he’s got three free hours right now, hint hint. He says Pester is young and should get a life. Marina thinks kisses are more important than talking about Pester and The Patio agrees.
Laz thinks about Lucia. He is interrupted by Nosy Rosy and gets on her case for butting into his life. (Well then move out you mommy’s boy!) She apologizes, the faker. He demands to know who is his father.
Becky tells Doggie Jose that maybe she was wrong. Her heart is crying out, what should she do? Doggie Jose doesn’t know, he’s just a little doggie.
Dam and Marina couldn’t help themselves and who can blame them? They relax after having some fun in bed that we didn’t get to see. It didn’t even get cut as far as I can tell. Dam says every night will be theirs. Well if it is I hope we get to see a little more action and sculptured physique next time.
Delfina visits Bea and says Marina is a great lady. Delfi’s not sure she did the right thing by asking Marina to stay away from Dam. Bea thought bubbles she understands, but too bad HER kid has to suffer. Delfina asks Bea’s forgiveness. (Hey, no fair asking someone who can’t talk!) Blah blah blah I thought my kid was dead. “Right, and to protect your own kid you have to hurt mine, and your kid is such a bitch it’s not fair.” thinks Bea. You tell her Bea! Oh, wait, never mind.
Dam visits Madre Eusebia’s grave and asks her for her support and blessing during this hard time. He gets a funny look on his face. Must be gas.
Lucia cries AGAIN to Fully. She saw him kissing a woman right in town! Fully says he’ll talk to Laz and strangle that hussy like he strangled Mayuya. Lu says he’s been great to them and if it’s a boy she’s going to name it Fulgencio. Oh my, Fully looks about to die of happiness. At last something is going his way! A grandson with his name! Such a wonderful name! Ha, he even does a frisky heel click as he walks away. Good job Cesar!
Jose brings the divorce papers to Dam. Pester says sign them and I take my bags and the kid and go. Your choice. Dam tells Jose to hold on to them.
Mexico City - Claudio calls Dam and talks business. They’ll use the latest green technology for their shipyard yada yada. He doesn’t want to pull Dam away from his kid but he needs Dam at work. Dam asks Consuelo to take good care of the baby and call him for any reason. Consuelo compares the good parent with the bad parent.
Marina and Becky are giving Bea massages. Bea wants to tell Marina so many things but above all that she loves her. Bea’s lips are moving! Marina sees it! Becky sees it. (Please don’t tell that freak Hernan!) Marina thinks Bea is on the road to recovery and Bea thought bubbles she will fight to stay with her daughter and grandkid.
Delfina visits Pester to say how glad she is that Pester’s staying in R-LayDee. Delfina asks Pester to reflect on her many mistakes. Pester’s pithed that Delfina says Dam is there for the baby and not for her. Delfina says one day Pester’s gonna pay for all the bad she’s done.
Doc Suspenders pokes Bea with a needle and says Bea’s lips were involuntary muscular movement. “Bullshit” thought bubbles Bea. Doc says Bea’s body shows no reaction to stimulus. Marina tells Bea to keep the faith. Bea thought bubbles she’ll get better to protect Marina from evil.
Hernan is dressed like a Creamsicle again! He’s by the pool yelling orders at someone. Ursully brings him a tranquilizer in his OJ.
Oso visits Becky to “check on her ankle”. Jose arrives and Becky thinks now she’ll see how Jose really feels about her. She gets all silly with Oso who is slightly flummoxed at her attentions. Jose does a slow burn.
Dumb and Dumber (Valdivia and Lara) go to Nereo’s house and the place is an abandoned mess. Lara calls Hernan to report that Nereo is MIA.
Los Angeles, CA - Looks like Ernesto had a session with Great Gray. His hair is now dark and slicked back. A new Doc delivers Erny’s prosthesis, the latest technology. Herny is thrilled that the doc is numero uno in his field, and Latino to boot! Nereo is in the background looking like a mafioso. He calls Ernie “Frank”. Doc tells “Frank Barrera” he can start physical therapy ASAP.
Pester gripes to Delfina that daddy insists she lie to Dam about her son. Delfina says Fully gets worse every day. Fully arrives just in time to hear the end of this conversation. Delfina knows what Fullys business with Pester is (i.e. claiming that Michel is Ernie's kid). How can he wish to create such a scandal now when he’s trying to get elected as mayor? Pester says people will investigate and find out lots of bad things. Fully’s in such a good mood, he says fine he’ll change and be a good boy and keep his mouth shut but he wants Delfina to campaign for him (I think that's what he said). Fully thought bubbles he’s going to get Ernie’s fortune one way or the other.
Claudio goes to Mercy’s house and Alicia spills the beans that Mercy’s got economic problems and is about to lose the nightclub. Claudio has a plan but shhhh! Here comes Mercy. Claudio tells Mercy he wants her be at the shipyard inauguration. She tells him now’s not a good time. He says as long as she supports him in spirit because he knows how much she appreciates him. “Not appreciate you, I love (quiero) you,” she teases. Hmmmm....
Back in R LayDee Pester sees Marina on the street and quickly grabs the stroller away from Consuelo (so it looks like she’s being a good mama) and nearly runs Marina down to get attention. Pester tries to rub Marina’s nose in it saying she and Dam are one happy family and they had a wonderful night of passionate reconciliation. But we know and Marina knows that Pester doesn’t know that Marina and Dam happily snogged all night while Pester snoozed.
Mercy tells Claudio that it seems her worries will never leave her in peace. She needs to tell Marina who she really is but Marina isn’t interested in her “real” mother. Claudio says he’s come to know Marina and he’s sure Marina will eventually accept Mercy. He thinks Marina should hear the truth from Mercy and nobody else.
The Creamsicle visits Marina at work with a stuffed bear. Hernan giggles in happiness. He really is losing it. He wants to be part of the family (and Marina doesn’t smack him down, what is wrong with you girl?). He would love to be the bebé’s Tío. He thought bubbles being the baby’s father would be even better.
Ursully has no news for Fully. Fully tells Ursully he got a weird call the other day from a distorted voice. He needs to know if Hernan has a special voice-distorting machine thingie. She says she’ll check at the first opportunity.
Mags visits Mercy and tells her not to touch her. She says she came to end things. It’s time to find Marina and tell her the truth. Today. Mercy said she wanted a family so it’s time to fish or cut bait.
Marcelino tells good copToribio that he saw Zully snooping around Hernan’s things, he didn’t tell Hernan because he didn’t want to get caught in the backfire. (salir el tiro por la culata) He already saw Hernan get pithed and kill two men. Toribio asks did Marcelina think to tell Cap Fabre? Dude are you crazy? says Marc. Tori says DamFab is the law around these parts but Marc needs to be careful because right now he’s in the wolf’s mouth. (Lobo alert!) Marcelino says nobody can tell the cops anything round here, it’s too dangerous. Tori tells Marcelino to watch his a$$.
Zully on the phone, tells someone she’ll meet them at "the time and place".
Dam is back in the DF talking biz with Claudio. The first boat and every boat they build is going to be perfect, blah blah blah. Claudio can’t believe Dam is living in that house with That Woman. Dam says it’s complicated and That Woman is completamente loca. The thing that hurts him most is that Marina is affected by this screwed up situation. Claudio gives Dam a blessing and wishes him fair winds and following seas. Dam’s gonna visit Mercy to repay his debt and Claudio wants to go with because Mercy seemed out of sorts.
Marina and Lucia go shopping for baby crap and have a mutual mama love fest. Marina thinks she’s going to have a girl. Lu says hers is going to be a boy. Yawn.
Mercy goes to the church for a sodden prayer. She recalls Mags telling Mercy to put up or shut up. She prays to the Virgincita to show her the way to the hearts of her daughters.
Aha!! Zully meets Robles with some info. She has some information that will help trap that jerk Hernan and all his accomplices. They’ll all pay for what they’ve done.
Mercy is happy to see Claudio and Dam. Claudio admits he was bothered by their convo of this morning which is why he came back. Mercy wants to tell them both something because she has total confidence in them both. She’s going to R-LayDee to tell Marina that she, Mercy, is her verdadera madre. Cara impactada de DamSorprendido!!!

SHUTUPROSY needs an anvil. I am so sick of her, earlier in the TN Fully and Rosy were talking about the night Laz was conceived, and she was a very willing participant. He threw SHUTUPROSY over for Delfina.
Claudio and Mercy are so very cute together. I hope they wind up together by the end of this TN.

Leftover from yesterday: Regarding the name Zully, maybe I should have written Zuly to make it easier? I used to know a woman named Zully (or maybe it was Zuly?), so it's not so hard for me to keep that name sepARATe from Ursully.
Diana, yes I thought it was Cesar who actually clicked his heels. I adore that man. I too am loving CE. I really love his facial expressions, they say it all. If he had lived in the silent era of film, he would have been a bigger star than Rudolf Valentino. I too loved the little dance he did after walking away from Lucia.

I Agee that Cesar has created a villain whom we love to hate and hate to love. His joyful heel kick was something I have never seen a villain do. The guy has charisma. He was so delighted at the prospect of a baby Fulgencio. it reminded me of modern Family when Gloria's Colombian mother wants her to name her baby Fulgencio, but the dad wants "Joe." That show is so funny. I love watching Sofia vagara as Gloria. She was our very own Dr.Hotlips from Destilando Amor who tried to win over Hot Rod the Bod (Ed Yanez).
Double bubble ! toil and trouble. Thanks for doing double duty to fill in all the blanks for us, Sylvia. Your recap was full of tricks and treats, Shame on Uni for cutting up a good story.

Ya know I'm been thinking about Uni and the scissors too, as far as this TN goes. Uni knows we love WL so I think they are showing all the romantic scenes in this TN, no matter if it's just mooning over Marina and skipping the excellent crime thread for this TN. I hope when it comes out on DVD it includes the crime story thread. The Commandante is so smart compared to other TN cops, hands down.
Since we are in Ultimos Capitulos I've been thinking what SHUTUPROSY'S anvil should be. I'm hoping Laz finds out the truth, considers SHUTUPROSY dead to him and his wife and son too, and she has to live completely alone. No family contact y punto, although I think the Padre will never ditch her, but still. She so richly deserves that, with all her lies.

In addition to being left all alone, SHUTUPROSY should also become the subject of all the town gossips and shunned, I tell you, shunned(!) by them for her "ramera" conduct in having her child out of wedlock! After all, didn't she lead the attack on Marina for daring to love a "married" man? Since Rosario presented herself as a "rape" victim, the church women's reaction and treatment of her would be even more vile if they found out the truth. I really have to say thank you for your re-cap. Besides being wonderful, awesome, and artfully written, and included the cut scenes, I really needed it today. My DVR did not record the whole epi because we had really bad thunderstorms last night. I only had a little bit of the first half hour, and pretty much none of the second half.
