La Tempestad#55-10/11/13: I Am A Dog Who Stays On a Scent, and Does Not Leave It. M. Hercule Poirot
Ahoy, Tempestad Maties. It is rainy and humid today, typical fall weather for my area. I dug out my Agatha Christie novels last night, and started rereading one of them and lo and behold something struck me. It's about Herny you see. In Ms Christie's last book, there is a murderer that is a Master Manipulator. He manipulates people into murdering other people without becoming involved in the actual crime. It took M. Hercule Poirot a long time to find out who was doing these crimes, as they spanned many years. I compare the Commandante to M. Poirot because he will stay with the case until it is solved. Herny is like Mr. X in the novel "Curtain" Ms Christie wrote. Herny has murdered many over the years without being caught. Will the Commandate catch the Master Manipulator? Will Herny screw up? Just some thoughts for Y'all to puzzle out!
I took notes in real time and so if I missed anything or got something wrong please comment.
It's Too Late To 'Pologize, It's Too Late : Herny swears to Pervy Ernie there is nothing going on with Hada/Ester, just some chit chat, he would so never betray ole Pervy (liar, liar, pants on fire). Hada/Ester even takes up for herself and when the Perv tries to apologize Hada/Ester isn't too happy.
The Scooby Two- Some Meet With The Commandante: Laz has taken DamSuspicious to see the Commandante and the Commandante forgives Laz for saying what's going on, but swears DamDetermined to secrecy. DamDetermined lets the Commandante know about the troubling pirates at sea, the fire at Neptune so many crimes. Well, The Commandante lets Laz and DamDetermined know that Fully and Herny are under suspicion and they have documents on them to prove all the crimes they have been involved with (there were extra copies made). The Commandante will accept DamDetermined help, but he must not compromise the investigation in any way! Now we have a true Scooby Gang!
Let's Get It On, Sugar: Ursully and Hands on Herny are doing the Nastay with fruit and whipped cream. 'Nough Said!
The Parrot Bar: Laz is looking for JazLu he can't find her. Olinto walked her home, so everyone is going looking for her. Here is what happened, that they didn't show. Jazlu was on her way home, when she was intercepted by, guess who? That's right, Nereo. He wanted her to go with him for one last drinky poo before she gets married.She doesn't want to go so he packs her up in his truck, forces her to have almost half a bottle of tequila, there was no rape, and drops her back off at the square where he picked her up. This is where DamPithedOff finds her on that bench. DamPithed takes her to his place to sober her up and takes care of her. JazLu is compelely incoherent. The crew also helps. Later, we see her at her place and Candy is talking to her about the wedding.
Isn't It Time: Hada/Ester and Pervy are going to be going to the Doc for a check up when suddenly, Hada/Ester, doubles over in pain. It's time to give birth! Perv tries to calm her down, she is writhing in pain and Perv takes her to the hospital.
DamSweet Does A Good Deed: DamSweet has carried Bea to her bed at home. She would have liked to go to Laz and JazLu's wedding, but she hasn't the strength and she needs to rest. While DamSweet and Marina are at the wedding, Becky will stay and keep Bea company.
I Used To Love the Violin, Please Make it Stop: Hands on Herny is not playing the violin himself you see, he is listening to a recording. He thinks he'll have his hands all over Marina, er, have Marina in his arms very soon! He's so glad he bumped into Mags at the hospital and now knows all. Now he has a bargaining chip, er, something on Mercy.
Got A Secret, Can You Keep It, Swear This One You'll Save: Becky and Bea are having a little chit chat. Bea is being somewhat maudlin today and is worried about Marina and her future. Bea knows she is dying slowly but surely but Becks wants her to have some hope, por favor. Well, Bea has got this little secret and she doesn't want to take it to her grave. Marina has got to be safe. So Bea spills the beans about Mercy being Marina's Mama. Becks is shocked! Bea tells Becks about some of the convo at the hospital with Mercy. Becks just knew there was something about Mercy and her interaction with Marina. Becks wants to know if Bea will tell Marina. Nopis. Marina is in danger from this really bad dude. Becks wants to know who the dude is. Bea says the dude has no idea that Marina is in RLayDee. So the gist of this convo is that Bea and Becks will team up to protect Marina.
Going To The Chapel And We're Going Get Married: So Uni, in it's infinite wisdom decided to cut the wedding of Laz and JazLu, but I will tell you all about it. Most of the denziens of RLayDee are there, including Fully and Mrs. Fully, that would be Delfina, and also Ursully, figure the odds there. Anyhoo, it's a very lovely wedding, and SHUTUPROSY is there too, Olinto is her pew mate. Poor Olinto looks at SHUTUPROSY and rolls his eyes! Anyhoo, they are pronounced man and wife, lovely besos and cheers. And who should be watching everything as it happens? Our noble Commandante is taking everything in. Now our newlyweds leave the church and are cheered and congratulated and many hugs from everyone. Here comes Mr. Big Stuff, also known as Fully, with some cash money for our groom, Laz. He stuffs it into Laz's pocket, cause we know Laz wouldn't take that dirty money. Just about this time, here come the Federales to arrest Fully, ya know, that dead Federale. So off he has to go with them, while Mrs. Fully, Delfina, is shocked. She goes with.
Come and Marry Me DamLucious: Marina talks about marrying her main man, DamLucious. They are walking and talking about Fully showing up for the wedding. They are on the pier and Hands on Herny drives his sports car over to them, jumps out and wants to have a chat. Herny is trying to manipulate the facts to make it seem that maybe DamPithed's crew had something to do with those sabotaged fridges at the packing plant. They were fired at the time. Well there will be none of that suspicion cause evidently they are rehired along with DamPithed, but he is only an employee according to Hands on Herny and he has to take orders from him. Only with Marina's approval of course. DamPithed goes back to work there, only cause Marina is there.
Happy Birthday Baby, Happy Birthday: Hada/Ester gives birth to a baby boy. She is less than enthused.
Herny Makes Some Mis Planes: Seems that Herny and Macario are on the same page. Herny tells Macario to congrat Ernie for him about the bebe. Herny will talk to him soon. After Herny gets off the phone he thinks to himself he hopes that Ernie enjoys that bebe cause he is gonna disappear. Ruh, Roh.
Sunday Walk On The Pier: DamLucious is wheeling Ms Bea around in her wheelchair and Becks and Marina are with them. DamLucious tells Bea he is alone in this world, no family now, and he'd like to be a part of theirs. Bea asks if he is asking for Marina's hand in marriage. Why, yes ma'am he is! He wheels her a bit to the side and here is La Tempestad with a huge sign on it that says "Will You Marry Me"? strung up and a bunch of kids yelling, "Say Yes", along with the crew of course. DamLucious gets on bended knee and asks Marina to marry him. Of course she says yes, wouldn't you? Jus' askin'!
Walkin Out With My Baby: DamLucious and Marina are taking another walk and talking. DamLucious shares his suspicions of Herny having something to do with that fire at Neptune. Marina actually doesn't contradict him, as a matter of fact, she's got a tidbit of her own to tell him, such as the fact that while DamMarried was off with Mrs. DamMarried (Ester) Herny was playing with a remote of some sort. Hmmmm...... DamSuspicous wants to know what Marina had been doing with Hands on Herny, and she tells him it's when he signed that contract, silly!
And The Hits Just Keep On Comin': Herny and Pervy Ernie are meeting. Pervy is so thrilled that Herny is messin' with Mercy's bidness, ya know, Neptune. The Pervy one now gives Hands on Herny a pic of Mags, and the upshot is, find a woman that looks exactly like her, her name is Marina Reverte, and kill her. He wants Mercy to feel the pain. Where is the massive anvil for these two. Hands on Herny looks a mite ill. He is turning green.
Makin All Kinds of Plans: DamJustified has a plan. He'll go to Herny's while he is gone, he's in the D.F. with the Perv, and he'll suss out what is what. Not a good idea, according to Marina. She doesn't want her man in any trouble. As a matter of fact, Marina will go and suss it out herself. She'll use work as a cover! Brilliant!
The Master Manipulator Goes To Work: Herny and Macario are having a bit of a chin wag at the Herny's place in the D.F. Herny wants to know if Mac (Macario) ever found his missing wife and daughter? Seems Mac has been searching for them for years. They just disappeared one day. Well seems Herny has the answer for him. Seems Herny was on vacay from that training he got in Spain, and was with the Perv when he disappeared Mac's wife and daughter. The gist of it was, the Perv shot them dead, in cold blood, he was afraid for some reason they would rat him out. Mac is just fit to be tied. They were innocent and would never have done anything to the Perv. Now Mac is out for revenge. He will kill Perv with his own two hands. Count on it!
Let's Partay: Perv calls his main man Blass and requests a huge shingding to show off his newly born son. Blass is on it.
It's Like Watching The Detectives: Marina has made it to Herny's and is talking to Marcelino and uses her excuse of some papers she wanted Herny to sign or she is picking them up, anyhoo, she casually asks Marcelino about that remote, ya know the blowing up boat one, anyhoo, it's for mainly used for summoning Marcelino, I think this device also has a walkie talkie attached. Marina accidently summoned Marcelino with it. Marcelino doesn't think this is suspicious in the least. Marcelino tells Marina, Herny is always breaking them and replaces them quite a bit. Marina bids him good day and goes. Later, Marina tells Dam what she found out about that device thingy. Dam doesn't want her snooping anymore, pinky promise!
There Will Be Blood: Herny the Master Manipulator reminds Mac that the Perv killed his parents and it's time for an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, ya know Hammurabi's Code. Vengance is theirs!
The Show Must Go On: Hada is now at home and the Perv informs her there will be a partay to show off his new born son, and her of course, 'natch. She isn't up for it, but he insists.
The Perv Calls His Second in Command Mr. Full Of Himself or Mr. Big Stuff, Take Your Pick: Fully is in his office taking a call from the Perv. Let's take a moment and I'll tell you how he got there. He was last seen being "detained" by the Federales. Back at the Police Station, Fully is being grilled by the Commandante's right hand man. Lara and Valdivia think Mr. Big Stuff should be shown some respect and besides, the right hand guy shouldn't be questioning him at all, the guy is on their turf and they trump him. Nopis, Federales trump the cops in RLayDee, so there, nanny, nanny boo, boo! Okay, on with the interrogation. Seems Fully was seen with the Federale at the bar, so what? says Mr. Big Stuff, sure they spoke, but he left alone and went home. Oh, really. Well here comes Mrs. Fully and vouches for Mr. Fully. Since Delfina swears up and down he was with her, they had to let him go, but they will continue to investigate. Fully assures the Perv that he would never betray the Perv and I think Perv beleived him. Seems the Perv is a mite suspicious of Herny, Hmmmm....
Walkin' My Baby Back Home: DamPrince has walked his Princessa home to her castle. She'd like to spend more time with him, but damn the bad luck, DamWorkerBee has to go fishin' with the crew in the a.m. Besides Marina wants to spend some time with her Mama.
What a CoinkyDink: While DamPrince and his Betrothed are talking, Marina decides to call Mercy and invite her to the wedding. She gets Mags on the phone. Okay now, Mags needs some phone training. She is very abrupt and most rude, I must say. Anyways, Mercy isn't in, take a message? Yeah, tell her to call Marina back. Marina says it's funny I swear I've heard that voice before! Hmmmm.... another point to ponder.
The Federales Want Me, Lord I Can't Go With Them: Pervy is talking to his son in his crib. Instead of koochy kooing him, he lets him know people will respect him as they do the Perv cause his son will be respectable. The Perv hears a noise and goes to look out the window, where the Federales have surrounded the house. Damn them says Perv. He leaves the bebe in the crib and runs out with his gun. The Federales are yelling for everyone to get on the ground, of course the bodyguards don't and start a shootout. The Federales and the bodyguards are now in a shootout. The Perv is escaping, leaving Hada/Ester and the bebe on their own, being cared for by Mac and the Perv is hit in the leg. He is bleeding profusely but gets away with Blass. The Perv is calling for his son.
The Great Escape: Mac is helping Hada/Ester get away in her wheelchair. No worries. No bebe. Mac goes into the bebe's room, grabs the bebe and swears he is disappearing him and the Perv will suffer. In other words what goes around comes around. Please don't hurt that poor innocent bebe. Mac drives off with the bebe.
She's His Back Door Woman: Ursully is on Hands on Herny like syrup from a sugar cane plant. I mean she is all OVER him. Herny has a call right in the middle of this. It's Mac telling Herny that he took that bebe to someone he trusts, she is taking care of the little mite, and that unfortunately the Perv has survived and is on the run.
Back at the Dock: Marina is on the dock with La Tempestad's crew. Here comes Hands on Herny to congrat her on her engagement and the wedding. He is telling Marina he met someone and she's happy for him. Yeah, Ursully, but doesn't tell Marina that. Seems Herny is there to tell Marina he has a huge suprise for her at the wedding, and he's smiling like the manipulator he is. Ruh, Roh. Marina looks at him funny.
No News Is Good News: Mac is informing Hada/Ester, and I have to say his face isn't too happy with her, that the Perv has gone missing, no matter to her. She does ask after her son, seems he has disappeared also. Hada/Ester remarks that whenever Perv appears again, he will be looking for his son.
And Still The Plotting Goes On: Herny is with Lara and they are discussing some plan for La Tempestad. The Commandante, the man of so many disguises, is slowly walking by so he can hear these mis planes. Herny and Lara aren't really paying attention, although Herny gives the Commandante the stink eye. Anyhoo, I think they are shelving this mis plane for later. Too unstable for now.
The Best Laid Plans: Marina is being fitted for her wedding gown and Bea and Becks are with her. The lady doing the fitting apologizes to Marina profusely for her part in SHUTUPROSY's stupid outbursts. Marina and Bea tell her no never mind, what is past is past. Time to move on. We don't get to see alot of Marina's dress but what we do see is gorgeous. Meanwhile, DamLucious is at Neptune where Olinto is back to work too. DamLucious hears the kids at the daycare center and is happy Marina installed it there.
Mama Bea Can You Hear Me: Bea is back in bed and Marina is gonna go off to work. She wants her Mama to get some rest and she goes. Mercy picks this time to call Bea to inform her that Marina and Mags talked on the phone but nothing was given away. Mercy wants to tell Marina, the day she gets married, that she is her Mama. And here we end this epi. But I have a question for Y'all, who do you think tipped the Federale's off to where the Perv was? There are alot of suspects.

It's Marina and DamLucious' Wedding Day but an unforeseen guest shows up! Any guesses? Ms. Gloria will have to tell you all about it Este Lunes. MUST SEE TV!

Madelaine, thank you for your recap, it was just like hearing from someone in the town watching the happenings! So much fun!
Also, you clarified so many scenes-I had no idea what had made Jaz cry. The editors are really ruining the story.

Madelaine, this is my first time leaving a comment. I came upon this blog while I was trying to research why Uni is cutting scenes from our stories. It makes me so mad. But thanks to all of the posts, I am able to get the whole story. Last nights episode was one of the most edited I have seen. Anyhoo(I loved that phrase), thank you so much for the very informative recap. If it weren't for you guys I would be lost. I think Uni is going to loose viewers if they keep up with their shenanigans...
Kudos Mads! You got a crappy edited episode and were able to write such a wonderful recap out of it. Thank you for including the info about the scenes that were cut. Without those details most of the stuff that happened in the episode wouldn't have made sense.

I am puzzled. First Fulgencio is arrested, then in this episode he is free as a bird. Then Olindo was fired by Hernan, but why is he now back working for the factory? Is this poor editing or bad writing?
Wow Mads, sounds like you had your hands full, going back and forth between episodes to figure out what Uni chopped...and then needing to write a recap that made sense. Kudos to you. And I loved the picture of Hercule Poirot. Spent many a delicious hour reading her years ago, favorite being Ten Little Indians. Glad to know you're also a fan.

Ahh, Poirot (and the marvelous David Suchet). Loved the picture and the title Madelaine. How clever to compare Poirot and the Commandante. Your statement that Hernan is indeed a master maniputlator was on point.
So many wonderful lines "She is less than enthused" and the song titles were great. However, "I Used To Love the Violin, Please Make it Stop" had me laughing in delight (and full agreement!)

Hernan picked the perfect moment to set the fire and fan the flames of hatred for Macario toward Ernesto. What a shame the poor baby was the recipient of his crazed revenge. At least he did not hurt the baby (I'm with you Emarie - that baby is innocent and just adorable). I'm hoping that there might be redemption in Macario's future but it's too soon to tell.

So, Becky knows Mercedes is Marina's mother. Glad the good guys are finding out some secrets albeit at a much slower pace than the villains are.
I think Hernan tipped off the Feds about Ernesto (guess only, not a spoiler). Hernan is going to need to learn to dance a little faster to figure out how not to execute the hit on Marina. Let's hope he masters this a little bit better than playing the violin.
Was a little surprised Hada does not care about the baby. She seemed to stroke her stomach fondly in previous episodes and I wrongly thought it was in anticipation of the child's arrival. Very disappointing.
Looks like yet another wedding interruptus. It appears the happy ending is far in the horizon.

I just wonder if what Hernan told Marcario is true. We know Ernesto is that bad but Hernan is almost as bad.

Your title really made me do a double take. I have been re-reading Poirot lately and collecting some choice quotes in my IttyBittyDitty Bag "just in case". How funny.

Mauricio, Dam with the day care kids is adorable!! I think WL really likes kids and they sure seem to like him. And the scene with Jose and Rebecca is priceless. He gave her a doggie and did you see his face when she said she was going to name it Jose, lol! So funny. And very cute scene with Dam and his pals.

Viven -- Tell your roommates to not let the cuts ruin the show for them. I'll continue uploading clips. I learned a new skill in how to do that. I'll upload any cut DamFab scene and any cut scene having to do with Becky and Jose along with anything I believe is worth watching. I'll also upload anything you all ask me too.
Loved the marriage proposal. It was cute how DamFab had the crew and the townspeople on the ship cheering him on so Marina could say yes. How could anyone resist that marriage proposal and to a DamFine man like DamFab? I was shocked when Bea gave him Marina's hand in marriage without spewing her usual "he'll make you suffer" crap.
Finally got to see this (the botched cut up version) and like Diana and Niecie was rather shocked by Hada/Estercita's indifference to the fate of her baby. Can't imagine ever feeling that way, no matter how loathsome the papa. Yikes! Well, maybe the wee one is better off with "la mujer de confianza" who does seem quite affectionate with him.
Count me in with those who think Hernán just made up that story about Ernesto offing the wife and daughter. I think the wife found out the "family business", ran away with child and is still hiding somewhere. Just a guess, not a spoiler.

Good Afternoon Y'all and thanks for all your lovely comments. Just a word about the ratings. Viven is right! We are #2 right after PEAM. I don't know why UNI is cutting this to shreds. It may have to do with the trouble between WL and Televisa, just a thought. I wish they had left it alone, cause really this is a good story and really had limited superfluous crap in it.

My two prime suspects for outing the Perv are Mercy and Herny. Herny looked like he knew just what was going on and I know Mercy has been on Perv's trail for a long time and went to see him just before he got busted. It could have been either of them.

Mads -- While I loved Dam munching on the apple and showing off his abs another favorite moment of mine from the scene was when Oso slapped Lagarto on the butt with his sandals. It was a hoot and made the scene even more worth watching.

Thanks Mauricio. It ALMOST makes me want to open a Twitter account. I've written Uni some complaints in the past but have never heard anything back from them. There was a time I complained frequently about their captions. The CCs aren't perfect but they have definitely improved.
