Corazon Indomable #140 & 141, 11/25/13: Dopes, Doris and Drama

The recap is now all done! I came up with the title before watching the episodes, but after watching, I still think it fits perfectly.

-Vivi

--
Part 1:

MC swears to Juanita that if she and Tav were to meet today, unlike the first time they met and fell in love, things would be very different. Uh huh. MC desperately wants to see and kiss Tav.

Tav offers up Alfie as a better playmate for Doris, but tells her to be careful of his playboy ways. Doris assures him she can handle Alfie. She isn’t deterred by Tav’s lack of enthusiasm for renewing a friendship with her. Back in his hotel, Tav thinks to himself that he must tell Doris that he’s reconciled with MC and is looking for her. (Any bets on when he actually gets around to doing this?) Miguelito, meanwhile, is out late partying with friends, leaving his bed empty for the night.

Alfie asks his mommy about Doris and MC. He wants them both and wants to learn more about them both. Being that they are beautiful women, of course they are perfect targets for an “adventure.” He puts his fiancé Mercedes/Meche down. She does not please his artist’s eye.

The next morning, Clementina asks MC to go on a trip with her, once Alfie is married. Clementina is still hot to get MC hitched. MC says she has no luck in the love department. Clem guesses correctly that MC has suffered greatly for love.

Tav and Alfie talk about Doris over wine. Alfie wants to meet her again. Tav thinks Alfie is the perfect person to show Doris a good time in the city. Tav recounts a bit of his fateful engagement to Doris, the Governor’s Daughter. Tav asks about Alfie’s mystery woman. Alfie thinks it’s only a matter of time before she falls for him. Same with Doris.

Doris, meanwhile, is only thinking of Tav. He’s all alone, and he will be hers once more!

Meche’s mom, Celia, visits Clem. Celia isn’t so sure about what a good husband Alfie will be, being a womanizer and all. But her daughter is crazy about him, so what can she do? Clem says it’s all exaggeration. MC enters and Clem introduces her. Celia turns up her nose, and once MC leaves the room, she asks if Clem isn’t worried about MC snatching up her husband or son. Clem laughs off Celia’s suggestion, and tells her that MC is a serious woman. She changes the subject to Alfie’s upcoming art exhibit, and brags about her son being the best catch in Mexico City.

Alfie explains his seduction techniques, using his painting as a pick-up tool, to Tav. Later, he tries to use those tricks on MC, asking to let him paint her. She refuses. She doesn’t want to be his lover nor his friend. He doesn’t know how to be a friend with a woman without hitting on her. He points out that he has no inclination to hit on Meche. LOL! Poor Meche.

It seems that Alfie didn’t know about the art exhibit his mother has already started bragging about. He thinks his work is too mediocre to exhibit. His parents give him no choice in the matter.

Later that night, MC frets about not finding Tav. Juanita suggests she try his old airline company. MC isn’t hopeful.

Oh great, a new character! A pretty girl named Elsa calls Alfie. She is upset that he has been ignoring her, although she knows he’s recently engaged. He is not pleased, and calls her a little girl. She says she is a woman (she’s 16) , and she wants to be treated as such. He says he’s too old for her. She’s upset that he made her fall in love with him, then dropped her. He tells her that was before he knew her age, and suggests she find a boy her own age. She swears she will do something crazy that he’ll regret!

Tav visits Doris and pushes her on Alfie. She asks Tav to be her Mexico City companion. Tav says he’s too busy working and taking care of his invisible nephew. Plus, he’s not worth it. (I'll say!) He still doesn't tell her about his reconciliation with the invisible MC.

Clem tells MC that she wants Alfie to do the exhibit so that he can get lots of great press. She wonders if MC doesn’t want Alfie to paint her, so that she too can become famous. MC refuses.

Tav frets about where MC is and how she’s supporting herself. He has to do something. “Ow! It hurts so much to think!”

Clem talks about how Alfie is a part of herself. MC will understand one day when she’s a mother. MC looks down, uncomfortable with her lie. Alfie arrives and tries to kiss MC on the cheek. She shies away from his overly friendly greeting.

Simona and her doctor talk about how happy they are and how much they love each other. He wants to get married ASAP. She wants to wait a bit. He worries that she hasn’t forgotten Tav, but she assures him she has forgotten him completely.

Clem requests that Alfie paint a portrait of MC for her. MC refuses, so Clem says she will accompany MC when she goes to be painted. Alfie isn’t crazy about that arrangement, but it’s better than nothing. Alfie gloats out loud about what Octavio will say when he finds out. MC is impactada at the mention of this very common name. She asks for Tav’s last name. Having a hunch (corazonada) that this could mean trouble for him, Alfie lies that he doesn’t remember Tav’s last name, but he is curious to see how Tav would react if he told him MC’s name.

Alfie visits Tav in his hotel. (Miguelito is still off hanging out with his D.F. friends. He’s probably joined a street gang and is selling drugs on the corner, by this point.) He mentions this chick he knows who also has bad luck with love like Tav—her name is MC. Tav jumps at the name and even mentions MC’s last name and describes her. That little sh!t Alfie lies and says it’s not the same woman. But hey, does this MC love you too?

Part 2:

Clem babbles on and on at MC over dinner about how her husband and son are always too busy working and stuff, and the best thing she ever did was hiring MC to listen to her drivel. Even MC can’t be bothered to act like she’s paying attention today (now she knows how Juanita feels), and she asks Clem if she knows Octavio’s last name. (Hey, how about you tell her Tav’s last name and maybe it will jog her memory.) Clem can’t remember, but remembers who he was related to, so he must have the same last name- Argumedo. Nope. Not the same guy.

Tav tells Alfie that he and MC love each other. A great love. Blah, blah, blah. She’s passionate, wild, tender, etc. She was my wife. But Tav doesn’t want to bore him with the details. Au contraire! Alfie wants to hear the whole story. They head out to dinner and chat about MC, Doris, and Simona. MC always trumps the other women. No one can take her love from him. “Are you sure?,” asks Alfie. Tav says he’s sure MC is at this moment thinking of him, but where can he find her? Alfie says he’ll help him. He’ll bring this MC to him.

Clem clips newspaper articles on Alfie’s exhibit. She thinks it will be easy for Alfie to whip up enough paintings quickly to fill the exhibit.

We finally see Meche! In all her pigtail glory. She’s red-faced and whiney. Nothing that a makeover and a new bitchitude wouldn’t fix. Right, Simona? She shows her mom the article on Alfie. He’s so handsome, he makes her the envy of all her friends. Her mom tries to talk her out of marrying him, but Meche will not be deterred. Celia gives in. She knows Meche’s great fortune is what’s attracting Alfie. Little does he know that Meche’s papa has ensured that some jerk like Alfie doesn’t squander his fortune and has taken measures (a prenup; an inheritance clause?) that Alfie won’t find out about until they’re married.

Alfie tells Tav that he doesn’t believe in these forever loves, nor in the institution of marriage. His marriage to Meche will be like slavery.

Clem says she will hang the portrait Alfie does of MC right there in the drawing room. MC doesn’t want to be scrutinized by all of Clem’s visitors, but Clem says folks likely won’t even recognize that it’s her in the painting. She presses MC once again to sit for Alfie. MC agrees but she’ll choose the dress. She doesn’t want to be paid for it, but Clem insists, since it will help MC with her “sick aunt.”

Alfie calls MC a hypocrite, says the gloves are now off in his seduction scheme, and plots how to keep her and Tav apart. He later plots how to get Doris to pose nude, and thinks of how he will use Meche’s money once they’re married to buy a bigger, better apartment/studio for himself. But he still needs to figure out how to conquer that hurricane, MC.

Tav picks up Doris, who is wearing a flapper/car wash outfit. They head to Alfie’s place. Doris says she’s not interested in Alfie, but instead in…Tav sidesteps her advances, and still doesn’t mention his reconciliation with his ex wife.

Juanita closes the curtains! Sorry, not really paying attention to what MC and Juanita are babbling about. MC is still desperate to find Tav. She thinks he might have returned to Isla Dorada. "Why hasn’t he looked for me?" Juanita is sure he has, but just hasn’t found her yet. It’s destiny. MC frets some more in many more scenes. She proclaims that her life will always be unhappy. Blah, blah, blah. Juanita tries to cheer her up.

Alfie and his friends talk about Natasha, who will be attending the party that night. They are sure she will be on her high horse after winning that prize for her painting. Alfie can’t believe she did a religious painting.

Doris and Tav arrive. Alfie lays it on thick with the compliments to Doris. She accepts the compliments coolly. She makes herself known to all the party-goers as “la hija del gobernador de Isla Dorada!” They all scrape and bow to the princess. Dark-haired girl, Alfie’s last conquest, is very jealous.

Natasha arrives! Her headband has morphed into a headscarf. Alfie introduces her to the group and Tav is open-mouthed impactado. Doris gives him the jealous side-eye. Introductions are made. Doris clearly feels Natasha is no competition. Once they are alone, Alfie comes on strong to Doris. She shoots him down.

Clem wants MC to accompany her to Alfie’s party. MC resists, but then accepts. She looks worried.

Natasha locks Tav into a slow dance, to techno music. Doris doesn’t like what she sees. She accepts a slow dance, to techno music, at arms’ distance with Alfie. She then gets her drunk on with Tav. Alfie is frustrated that all the women are hot for Tav and not for him. He argues with his friend, while Natasha looks on. Not sure why his friend is so upset. Maybe he’s in love with Alfie? Then he gets upset that dark-haired girl also thinks that Tav is hot.

Doris is conveniently so drunk that she grabs onto Tav and tells him how much she loves him. He is powerless to push her away.

After ringing the bell and knocking for what seems like hours, Clem and MC finally enter Alfie’s den of iniquity. Well, it actually looks like a very tame middle school dance, but for some reason Clem is shocked and scandalized by what she sees. MC walks in just in time to see Tav ineffectively pulling away from Doris’ puckered lips, but not her tight embrace. She is predictably impactada and starts to hyperventilate and runs out. Too late, Tav sees her and gives chase.

Part 3:

Alfie tries to convince Tav it wasn’t MC and he’s just imagining things. Since he only has one brain cell, it’s an easy task.

MC is pissed. She rants at Juanita about finding Tav in the arms of Doris. She will NEVER forgive him! She NEVER wants to see him again. NEVER!

The next day, Alfie tries to play the sympathy card with MC. He wants to talk to her about her pain at seeing Octavio Narvaez with his “lover.” He tells her that Tav told him everything about her and her life. He knows she’s always been a victim. He tells her to forget Tav. “I’m no saint, but I have never deceived a woman.” Finally, someone said something that makes MC (and Viewerville) laugh. What about Meche? Alfie feels it’s only fair that he be rewarded with her millions for making the sacrifice of marrying her.

Simona and the doctor have a much happier wedding than her first wedding. They pledge eternal love and kiss to cheers and applause. Ester even took her hair out of a ponytail for the occasion, and JA took off his hat. All is happiness and light at the rancho now that Tav and MC are gone.

MC tells Alfie that she’s always been blind about Tav, but now her eyes are opened. Alfie lies to her and says that Tav is planning on marrying Doris for her money, now that he has his orphaned nephew to take care of. “Again?!” MC falls for it, hook, line and sinker.

MC tells Clem that she wants to do the portrait as soon as possible. Clem doesn’t know why the change in attitude, but she warns MC that Spite isn’t a good advisor. (Well, Spite as an advisor has been what has made this whole tn possible! Just think of all the bad choices that could have been avoided by our two protagonists.) MC’s not listening. She wants to liberate herself! (She seems to be considering posing nude.)

Alfie tries to convince Tav to forget MC and go for Doris. Tav says Alfie doesn’t understand because he’s never really been in love. Tav says he’s lost part of himself. (Maybe that part of himself is hanging out with his missing brain cells?)

Juanita tries to explain her crazy parents to Lupita. She decides to take the little one out of her hotel cage, and to the park for some much needed sun. Guess who’s in the park? That’s right. It’s Tav, trying to fire up a second brain cell and figure out where MC is. Lupita’s ball hits his foot and they reach for it at the same time.
Tav: Oh my God!
Lupita: Papito!
So gosh darn cute! He picks her up and kisses her, with tears in his eyes. Juanita comes running over and is shocked that it’s Tav, and not a random child molester, holding Lupita. He and Lupita trade cheek kisses. Tav wants to know where MC is. Juanita makes it clear he’s not top on MC’s favorites list right now. He’s sure it must be because of what she saw at the party. He assures Juanita that it was all a misunderstanding. “If that’s what you call betrayal. Talk to the hand…uhm, MC.” Tav begs her to help him and to hear him out.

Apparently, now that MC is mad at Tav, she’s fine with going to Alfie’s bachelor pad all by herself. (How these two things are connected, I don’t know. Tav becoming a cheating jerk didn’t make Alfie any less of a lecherous perv.) She tells Clem to stay behind. Clem insists on paying MC extra, since she knows MC has a little daughter to take care of. “Perdon?!” Clem backtracks, and says she meant a sick aunt. (Did I miss Alfie spilling the daughter beans to Clem? So sorry if I did.)

Alfie sprays perfume around his apartment in preparation for the Seduction of Maricruz Olivarez.

Juanita tells Tav how MC sent a messenger pigeon, uhm, telegram, to the ranch to let him know their location. He’s sure Ofelia held on to the info. Juanita isn’t totally convinced that he hasn’t been living it up, with other women, while MC has been searching for him and working hard. He asks what MC’s doing for work, and seems appalled that she has the easiest job ever, being a paid companion for a rich lady. He insists he can support them all now that he’s working, and MC shouldn’t have to work as anyone’s servant.

MC arrives at Alfie’s place. She tells him he has two hours. He needs to hurry if he wants to display it in his exhibit. He once again seems surprised that this exhibit thing is going to happen for realz. MC tells him she thinks his Don Juan act is just a front to cover up for his failures. She lays down the law that the act won’t work with her. “Got it?” (Estamos?)

Juanita tells Tav that it’s not her place to get in between his and MC’s mess. She’s worried about losing her job if she butts in. Tav pleads his case and begs her to tell him where they are living.

MC gets to work whipping Alfie into shape. She demands that he show her his best work. It’s a basic impressionistic painting of a person feeding a deer-like animal. MC doesn’t look impressed at first, but then says she likes it and the colors. He tells the story of how he saw this poor shoeless boy feeding the deer and was inspired. MC’s female intuition tells her that others will like it too.

Juanita has brought Tav to their hotel/zoo cage room.  Lupita exclaims, “Look daddy! A window (where strange people look in on me at all hours)!” Juanita tries to hurry him out before MC gets back. Tav finally does something that makes sense—offers up his phone and contact info to Juanita. He happily kisses his little girl.

Avances: Doris and Alfie team up to separate Tav and MC. Tav and MC finally meet.

Thanks, Vivi!

Well, our crazy kids Maricruz and Octavio are at it again. When will they learn not to listen to others and TALK to each other no matter what and actually HEAR each other? If they were just a little less impulsive . . . LOL

Looks like Alfonso has joined the Miguel/JA club. He needs to go.

Jarifa

Thanks Vivi, I should have known that if they did find each other, there would be a misunderstanding of a compromising situation. Duh! So Tav chases MC, and MC doesn't believe him. How many more episodes are there?

Thanks Vivi! At work and only mostly glanced from time to time with volume down (phone call) but I picked up enough to know that our adorable dope Tav has found someone else to replace Miguel as his puppeteer. What a dope indeed! Loved the cute, sweet scene with Lupita: "Papito!" What a sweetheart! I'll hulu from that point to the end. Lupita and Juanita will be his best allies. Thanks again, can't wait to read the full recap.

Lila

All done!

Lupita was very cute this episode, and that was a sweet meeting between her and Tav in the park.

By the way, someone asked last episode if Tav mentioned anything about who's taking care of Miguelito. He actually did mention to Alfie on Friday that he's hired someone to take care of him, but the director/writers have for some reason just decided to not show us the little guy anymore. It's so odd seeing that empty bed at all hours.

If MC is still falling for these kinds of dirty tricks this late in the game, there is truly no hope for her and Tav. I'm sure he'll fall for some lies about her next episode too.

Cathy -- I am with you, I had to record this one as it is too painful to sit a watch for two hours. Am trying to watch in 1/2hour segments. I used to enjoy CI so much, but it has become tedious at best.

Here's hoping it returns to enjoyable before it ends.

Thank you VIvi for recapping this mess. Is the end in site????

Thanks for this Vivi... this is excellent. I was chuckling all the way through and I especially enjoyed your observations and speculations about Miguelito. This however is my favorite line:

"“Ow! It hurts so much to think!”

Excellent.

Wow, from the very beginning I've disliked and distrusted Alfonso and his mom as well. That has grown into a visceral disgust. Gee, I can't stand this guy... I think that I dislike him even more than Miguel or José Antonio. Let's kill him next... José Antonio will keep awhile longer.

I admit to shedding a little tear when Octavio and Lupita reunited. She clearly likes this guy even if the rest of us have soured on him.

By the way, good to see Lupita getting a few rays.

Carlos

Vivi, thanks. This was a great recap. I loved, "Miguelito is still off hanging out with his D.F. friends. He’s probably joined a street gang and is selling drugs on the corner, by this point." ROFL! I agree that seeing the empty bed is very disturbing. I am glad that you heard Tab mention that the kid is being cared for. I missed that comment with my limited Spanish language abilities.

Caryn

Tav not Tab. Darn auto correct.

Caryn

Thank you, Vivi, the only thing worse than recapping an episode of CI is... recapping 2.

Carlos, I guess Lupita really likes Daniel Arenas and that's why she reacts to him so well. I don't know if I read this here or somewhere else, but he has a lot of siblings with small children, so the guy obviously knows what he's doing.

Is anyone surprised that MC and Tav are at odds again? Nobody? I thought so.

I read on the Televisa site that Por siempre mi amor (with Guy Ecker and Susana Gonzalez) starts on Dec, the 2nd, in CI's place.
Counting the days till it ends.

@Vivi - hats off to you. That had to be painful. But you made it quite enjoyable with your recap. I also loved the asides about Miguelito being lost to life on the streets.

@Adriana - sadly, you are only part right. The new Guy Ecker-Susana Gonzalez novela doe start on Dec. 2nd, but at 8 pm. So it is not totally replacing C.I. - it's only going to kick it back to 1-hour episodes, which means C.I. should end three weeks into December, instead of sooner if it had stayed with 2-hour episodes. The good news for me is that next Monday I will not have to recap a two-hour episode, and you all will not have to suffer through them either.

Great recap Vivi!! I just want to say a big "THANK YOU" to all of the double episode recappers!!! It is hard enough stomaching one episode of this show but two! Bless you all!

I just don't understand how Alfonso can be so soul less as to separate a man and woman who share a child and obviously both want to be together? Especially for just a little fun with MC.

I wonder now that Simona is married and happy if we are going to see anymore episodes involving people back at the ranch?

I'll be interested to see how MC reacts when Tav confronts her. But obviously she won't believe a word he says because that would mean a too soon happy ending. At this point I'm holding onto this show with my fingernails!

Vivi---Thank you so much. After your post yesterday I wasn't expecting much but you have come through as always with an excellent recap. I don't know how you do it from work. You're amazing. I liked---and brags about
her son being the best catch in Mexico City. WHAT!!! --- a makeover and a bitchatude? --- It's only fair that he be rewarded with her millions for making the sacrifice of marrying her. LOL

Cathyx---I didn't mean to send Child Protective Services in on Juanita, I know that she is an adult---the paint fumes didn't get to me, but since she has hooked up with Maricruz, it's obvious that she doesn't have a life. As Carlos pointed out, Mari
never takes her shopping or even just for a walk. I was thinking that maybe we could start a new chapter in the Corazon Indomable complaint book. We could title it "Juanita's Woe's" or something like that. We can debate the new
title.

Carlos---We call it the outdoors.
Some day you "may" get to there.
See "wrong" you can be. You had us all in near hysterics, grieving
over the thought that Lupita would never be able to learn what the outside is. And then, last night---there it was, Lupita playing in the park. Aren't you ashamed of all your silly nonsense? Now let's see---First it was a "required" 15 minutes. Then next, Lupita would never learn what the outside is.
Where is little Miguelito? We haven't seen him in days. He's probably cold and hungry wandering
around the DF for all this time. I guess there is no 15 minutes for him. Don't you think that the police and Child Protective Services should be called? Obviously Octavio is an unfit father and should loose custody of Miguelito. Don't you care about him or do you only care about girls?
Oh! yes, the paint fumes from the
dining room are all gone now.
the gringo

Gringo- Glad the painting is all done, amigo. I think that both MC and Tav are pretty lackadaisical parents. I don't think either of them are very good (mature) adults either, so they really have no business being parents. But these two have always done things backwards, so why shouldn’t they take on parenting three children or getting married, before they have learned to love, respect and trust each other?

And then of course the writers/director don't help things by showing nonsense like an empty bed next to Tav's when he returns home late at night. We know he didn't lose Miggy. So I guess we are to assume he is sleeping in the room of the lady Tav hired to help him care for Miggy. It's just silly.

It really was Juanita this episode who said that Lupita needed to go out and get some sun. She said it in a way that made it seem that Lupita hasn't gotten a lot of sun lately. Carlos wasn't totally off in his caption last episode. :)

Thanks, Vivi. Hmmm..sometimes I feel as if this show goes from the frying pan into the fire. One asshat dipwn, and now here's Alfie to replace Migreedy manipulating The Big O . Unlike you Carlos, I thought that Alfie was a good guy when he first came on the scene and seemed to fall instantly under the dwell of the dimples. I agree that this guy should go next. Jackass will get his later. Ojala.

I am amazed and underwhelmed by the lovesick good doctor and $imona. Is he really lovestruck and smitten, or does he know that $ has lots of $$$$ ?

I get a kick out if Clem needing a companion..really ??? She seems pretty happy and able to entertain herself. How does matin get mixed up with these folks ? That was a rhetorical question.

Dwell was supposed to be so spell...

If Alfonso is such a catch, why does he need to marry for money?

Clem wants to put a picture of MC, her companion, up on the wall in her house. Sounds about right for this show.

Simona and Tav must have gotten a quicky divorce.

So let's guess as to what happens when Tav sees MC's painting.
1. Will he love it because it reminds him of how much he loves her?
2. He will think that she's Alfonso's lover?
3. She will not deny that she's Alfonso's lover after Tav accuses her of being it?

Cathyx- All three.

You are a winner, Vivi.

Vivi---Carlos is always off but I know that he means well. He's really a good guy---sometimes I just wonder if the tequila didn't get to him. LOL
the gringo

Thanks Vivi! Great recap. Double thanks for doing two hours! Love the bits about Miguelito hanging out with his friends. Seems the kiddies go back and forth between dimensions or something. Glad Lupita is so central to the story, the cutie pie!

Lila

LOL! Gringo- I think Carlos finds his recapping inspiration many times at the bottom of his shot glass. Why mess with a good thing? Of course, I am sure he is clean and sober for his day job as Dr. Carlos.

gringo, not only do I have some very good Tequila, I also have a Poetic License.

Carlos

I nearly laugh myself silly when on a daily basis I read all of the wailing and gnashing of teeth comments about this novela---the worst or one of the worst ever. Every day the question gets asked
WHEN WILL IT END??? Well ok. everybody has an opinion and I have mine. CI will always be on my favorites list. And maybe, just maybe I'm not the only one because as I am reading the wailing and gnashing of teeth comments the ratings just seem to climb higher.

And you guys thought JA was bad. And now we have Alfie. Someone, save humanity please. The question was asked as to why this guy would try to break up or keep apart two people that love each other? It's because he's a spoiled, conceited, selfish piece
of trash. I was going to say jack ass but wasn't sure if we could have two in the same show.

Cathyx---I choose #3 but I must admit that all three ore possible.
In any event, it's must see TV tonight for the big reunion. Can't wait--can't wait--can't wait
the gringo

Here's the thing about Al. I find it hard to take a guy who wears jeggings seriously. I guess that's what hip , young artists are wearing these days. He must shop at the same stores as BoyToyRoy.... lifestyles of the Young and Useless.

I hate Romero and Natalie for separating the lead pair for almost all novela. What a shame. After Octavio got married to Simona they almost didn't see each other. The same old song now here in the capital. Great chemistry between leads went
And I hate Nakie for cutting.
For example, they filmed Simona's wedding outdoors. So they spent the money for filming this scenes and then cut them?
http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/1045/nwn8.jpg
And who saw nazario in police?
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1839/2ptf.jpg

And besides, about Simona. What was it? Church wedding once again? Or what? And so she will be happy with her new husband? No punishment? Great!!!
Alegria

Alegria, I noticed the padre in his padre's clothes at the wedding. Surely he didn't perform the ceremony since he presided at the previous Church wedding. And the bride wore white? I'm shocked.

Carlos

So Simona got TWO church weddings with no problem? There's no way her first one would've been annulled, especially with a child. Maybe the Padre needed a lot of money for the Realengo people and Simona paid him big bucks to overlook that little detail.

Alegria- Yes. This producer and director seem very wasteful with what they film and throw away. Does this show a lack of vision or decisionmaking? Perhaps. But other tn directors film a LOT of hours too, and chop a lot (and somehow come out with a coherent product).

I'm satisfied with the conclusion to Simona's story, if the writers leave it like this. For me, it's the storyline that makes the most sense. She started off as an ok person (no, not the bravest or most outspoken), then all of a sudden she turns into a murderous b!tch. Never made any sense to me until they diagnosed her with the brain tumor. It's removed and she goes back to being the same old Simona. Not extraordinary. Not the most wonderful person in the world. But not evil either. Case closed as far as I'm concerned. I wish other storlyines in this tn made as much sense.

First, Doris tells Octavio that she wants to meet people in the city because she's on her own and she doesn't just want to be known as the governor's daughter. Then, when she introduces herself at the party, she makes it a huge point to say she's LA HIJA DEL GOBERNADOR DE ISLA DORADA! Oh, yes, she's back! I wonder if her friend Mariana ended up married to Daddy Gov.

I LOVED the faces Doris was making when Natasha was being introduced around. Classic!

The Padre might have just been a guest at the wedding. They appeared to walk into the house already married, and the Padre was just there among the people congratulating them. But then again, would it really be a shock if these writers gave her a second religious wedding? I'm just iupset they never gave Solita even one. Now, SHE deserved to have the white wedding of her dreams.

Vivi in DC, I don't think that Simona was bad only because she was ill. I don't think she was ill, then she wanted to kill children. And she still a bad person, because she wants Octavio to be unhappy. As I once said, I don't want to see her dead, but I want to see punishment. Now her storyline looks like "act bad and life will prize you".
About church wedding. I really don't know why they used this wedding between Octavio and Simona. I even don't know, why Octavito was born. There were no use for the plot for showing us this. But in the end we should see church wedding of our leads. Or no?
Alegria

Simona actually didn't say that she doesn't want Tav to be happy. When the telegram (!) came from MC saying where she was in DF, it was Awfelia who spewed venom about MC. Simona just shrugged her shoulders at their bad luck and said it looks like those two are destined to be unhappy. Oh, well. No hate or venom. But she wasn't going to go out of her way to help them either. Just like old Simona.

A little late to the game but great job Vivi. Lots of detail provided for a more of the same storyline.

I had my hopes up for a brief second when I read a new novela would start Dec 2nd. But alas, CI will be with us for a few weeks longer. Let the games between Alonso (??) and Doris begin!

Vivi in DC, Octavio called her later. So why she didn't say about telegram? May be it was something important about Lupita. It's so cruel to separate a girl from her father. And she is a mother. No forgiveness for this. She is the same old SELFISH Simona. And in the end she got everything she wanted in life. For being selfish.

I just think the writers wanted to drag out the two ships passing in the night scenario with Tav and MC in DF. There is no reason for Simona to not have told Tav otherwise. She has not expressed any ill will towards him since she got her tumor removed. It's just plot contrivance.

In some ways it serves them right for not having made a better plan for finding each other in one of the biggest cities in the world. Why not send the telegram to Santa? Makes no sense.

Thanks for the recap Vivi. Your comment about Miguelito being a gang member was hilarious. I'm excited that the 2 hour episodes end on Friday!!

Too much real life in my novela world today. Even if I'm late, I really enjoyed your recap. Miguelito on the streets was especially funny.

I feel beaten down by the endless separation of MC and Tav. How can we be sure they can ever sustain a long term relationship?

Clementina is mildly entertaining and at least we got to see Mercedes. I hate Alfonso and his selfish desire to keep Tav and MC apart. And, he has even less talent than Natasha.
