Mentir Para Vivir #78 Mon 1/27/14 La Impostora is busted; Maddy's head explodes again

And here is the recap, in all its glory.
I apologize for the delay, this turned out to be a pretty good episode.

Alina is with the school psychologist, talking about her father. She is scared of him because he stopped laughing and playing with her as he used to do before, now he’s serious all the time. The doctor asks her to draw a picture of her family, Tito included, but Alina says that if she draws her dad, too, it would have to be while he’s kicking Tito in the behind. Such a great memory should be immortalized, so, go for it!

Mariano and Oriana are on the phone, talking about the religious service they should prepare for Homero, even if he’s not truly dead. Mariano feels that something is wrong with her and invites her to have a cheap lunch together the next day. She’s happy to share her worries with him. After he hangs up Mariano remembers that he totally loved her back when he was a member of the Plaid Brotherhood of Hermosillo. He hopes his hormones won't get the best of him when they meet.

Alina goes to see Oriana at Paloma’s after school. She shows her the picture she drew of their family (with JL included); she’s still afraid of her dad, though.

Homero’s fake service (misa religiosa) is more of a rendez-vous point for different couples in distress. Ric arrives with his wife and his aunt and longingly gazes at Oriana during the entire ceremony. Oriana gazes back, while Marilu has daggers in her eyes.
Ruben sneaks a glance at Fidelia, too. She looks willing and ready!
May God rest Homero’s soul.

Fabiola receives Piero’s visit and wonders why Leo didn’t want a proper burial service for his grandfather. Piero steers the conversation towards what he really cares about: the fact that Leo wants her bad and he himself, wants her even worse than bad (the desperate variety of bad). Yes, he’s jealous and yes, he wants to be there for her during her medical treatments. Fabi lays down the law for him: she doesn’t love him, she never will, even if she did her best to feel more than friendship and gratefulness towards him. Piero doesn’t seem willing to let go, so Fabi insists, being as firm as she can possible be, considering what a weak little lamb she normally is.
Leo shows up to visit Fabi and sees her caress Piero’s cheek – what is supposed to be a friendly, “I’ll never love you” touch, Leo interprets the wrong way, because he leaves.
So, Fabi and Leo are endgame, after all. Just a little bit more angst and we’ll get there, hopefully.

JL has come to see his doctor. He sees Seb come out and warns him not to open his mouth about their shady business. Or else, he’s a dead man. (In case the HIV doesn’t kill him first, JL. Wait in line, will you?)
Then he talks to the Neuro/ Pshico doctor, he assures him that he’s still taking his pills, but he’s upset because he doesn’t have his family with him. The doc warns him not to drink anymore and take good care of himself, follow his treatment like the grown man that he is. Right on cue, JL starts to pout and whine like a big baby, his bad temper shining through. The doctor asks him to calm down, promises to give the judge a good recommendation of JL, if he behaves. JL would prefer to have the good recommendation regardless, does the good doctor accept a check or he prefers cash.
This bribery attempt doesn’t make the neuro doc too happy, he tells JL that he can’t have his family back if he’s not healthy. And JLsays that he can’t get healthy if he doesn’t have his family back.
Which came first, the chicken on the egg? The bipolar or the law breaking? The treatment or the family reunion?

Ric is on the phone with Manrique, talking about Oriana’s case. Then Piero comes by, upset because Fabiola just broke up with him. Ric tries to suggest that maybe Fabi wants to be with someone her own age, but Piero proves to be a Richard, by saying that nobody would want her sick and pregnant - wow, dude, way to go from sweet and reliable to sore loser jerk in a Hermosillo second. Ric calls him out on it and Piero tries to explain that he wasn’t involved with Fabi out of pity, he really loved her. (Yeah, thanks, but no thank!) Ric gives him advice about resignation and acceptance, but he’s not the right person to talk about this, because Piero promptly reminds him of his own Oriana obsessed brain and Richard. Ric doesn’t see the connection between the two and I kind of don’t see it, either – at least he and Oriana were actually involved and they are in love; Piero was just an old, slightly overbearing late thirties suitor of a teenage girl. Usually, this is not the recipe for great romance, more often than not that’s how pervert stalking stories begin.
Anyway, Piero realizes he shouldn’t be upset with Ric, because they are basically in the same boat. (No, they’re not!) What he should do is be upset with the entire woman kind, for being so wishy-washy and deceitful. Just like his cheating ex wife. (Ugh!)

Later on Ric calls Mariano, asking him to go to lunch together. But Mariano already has plans with Oriana. After Ric finds out this bit of information, he actually hangs up on his best friend. I take back most of what I said about Ric before. He’s an entitled, insecure fool, if there ever was one. Not a pretty color on our little Ricky, but I guess we should be used to it by now.

Fabi is reading Jane Eyre in the garden (a little depressing for her current state, I would say). Leo shows up with flowers and she looks as smitten as she’ll ever be. I thought the little scene he witnessed before between her and Piero would cause some angst, but maybe Leo is the type of guy who doesn’t go to his corner to lick his wounds, but goes to the flower shop to buy the biggest bouquet he can find. Pretty amazing, I would say!
He has to pretend to be upset over Homero’s death, but he invites Fabi to go for a walk. She happily accepts.

Antonio goes to Trejo Bonfil’s office, to trick him into signing over the money they had invested in his company. Bonfil is depressed, he misses his dead wife and is sad because his daughter doesn’t care about the business. Antonio doesn’t care, either, but he plays along just to make Bonfil sign the documents: life must go on and what not, Antonio says and Bonfil thinks that maybe his godson, Leo, could be interested in the business, if he weren’t a good for nothing young lad like all good for nothing lads of his age. Eventually he signs the papers and when Antonio leaves, he gets back to drinking his sorrows away.

Marilu is furious because she feels like Oriana is treating her like a nanny or even worse, like a servant. She tells her where to take Alina, when to pick her up, when to bring her by and so on. Ric tries to calm her down, explains that Oriana is with Mariano, sharing some problems that she has and that’s why she asked for help at the last minute. Well, Marilu has problems, too, but she doesn’t need someone to be at her back and call all the time. Marilu might be turning crazy, but she talks a good game when it comes to Oriana’s constant neediness.
Ric assures her that HE cares and they can get that divorce they’ve been talking about if she can’t take it anymore. Well, Marilu doesn’t want this, either, especially since tomorrow they will receive the social worker’s visit – they need to put up a good front for Alina. Ok then, Ric suggests postponing the separation for a couple of weeks. That’s not good, either, because Marilu is tired of doing things his way.
Ric offers to leave the house, she says no to that, too, because the social worker has to see them as a happy family. If he leaves, she will tell the entire truth and they will take Alina away. Now that Homero is dead and Oriana can no longer count on his protection, what if she goes to jail? Can’t they keep Alina and be a real couple?
That is something that Ric can’t agree with, so Marilu leaves in a fit of rage. Fidelia, who has witnessed the entire fight, asks Ric to be patient, because Marilu is in love. But Ric isn’t willing to sleep with her just for that. Fidelia rightfully calls him a man with a man brain for immediately assuming that Marilu is only after sex.

JL is happy to hear that Trejo Bonfil signed the documents that allows them to use the money they invested in Arte Folclor. He asks Antonio to transfer the money to Joaquin and mentions how he met Seb at the neurologist/ psychologist office (I’m not sure how that works, exactly). Antonio thinks that Seb might have inherited his mother’s craziness, but doesn’t think that the boy will tell on them; after all, he and Ric are not exactly friends. They think about giving him a piece of the new business, keep him on their side. (Didn’t they agree that involving him in the first business was a bad idea? Why would this time be any different?)
When Antonio leaves, JL takes a pill, with water, not booze.

Oriana is lunching with Mariano. She’s afraid of jail, but also because Ric is having problems with Marilu because of her. The girl is in love and Oriana feels guilty, even if the whole arrangement was supposed to be temporary; she feels like she would betray Marilu if she went after her platonic husband. Mariano rightfully asks her to stop with all the drama and don’t turn her back on love. He gave up on the Great Council of the Plaid because he fell for a woman, but she belonged to someone else, so he had to give up, but Oriana has to fight for her love, talk to Marilu about it – if she truly loves Ric, she will step aside. (Mariano’s clothes might be different, but in his heart he is still the Plaid, clueless one.)

While Oriana is getting this pep talk, Ric is whining to his madrina about the fact that Mariano and Oriana are together. He knows that Mariano luuvs her and can’t understand why Oriana couldn’t talk to him. (All my complaints from before multiplied by a thousand would still not be enough to express how little I think of Ric right now). As Paloma tries to make him see reason, Ric goes even further in his stupidity – what if in her desperation, Oriana chooses the wrong exit from all her troubles? (Meaning, what if she gets down and dirty with Mariano, right there, in the middle of the restaurant? I could somewhat understand his jealousy when it came to Oriana’s HUSBAND, but Mariano is just a friend – does he really think that Oriana is so weak and feeble? Boy, oh boy… No words…)
Continuing with what now has become his everyday “She doesn’t love me anymore” pity party, Ric says that maybe Oriana is using Marilu’s love for him as a pretense to push him aside… to be with JL or Mariano or some other random stranger that she might meet on the street, presumably.
Again, no words!

Joaquin is upset to hear that Homero is now dead, but I have no idea why. JL tells him, via a video call that their money should be in Santo Domingo by now.

Homero says good bye to Mike; now that his cover has been blown, the gorgeous next galan of my dreams/ telenovio numero 4 has to move on to another job (his next telenovela, hopefully). And no, what will happen with Orines is not his business. Bye bye now. When he’s left alone, Homero receives some good news over the phone. Another incomprehensible bit about the PLAN?

At Casa Bonita, Lucina shares with Manolo her worry about going to jail now that Homero has died. Manolo advises her to say everything that she knows about Raquel and JL, but Lucina doesn’t know too much; Raquel is an idiot, and she is also pregnant; now that JL is starting a new real estate business, she even thinks she will be the big boss’ lady or something. Manolo suggests that maybe Lucina should try to find out what’s up with this new business.
Ruben shows up, happy to announce a work promotion. Lucina gleefully hugs him, as Ruben explains that his company just got a big contract, with a company that buys old buildings and restores them. Manolo looks at them with a pensive look, I don’t know if he’s jealous or he’s smelling that the new business might be JL related.

Night comes and Ric is still at Paloma’s, waiting for Oriana to return from her lunch. Why did it take her so long, he promptly asks when she gets inside the house. But Oriana is in no mood for his reproaches right now, she only needed an advice. No, Mariano didn’t confess his love, he is Ric’s friend, for God’s sake. They only talked about Marilu, his WIFE. Oh, but that’s just pretend, Ric starts his daily begging, until we are both no longer married, can’t we at least be platonic novios or something? Oriana doesn’t listen to anymore of this nonsense, she just leaves.
Just then Homero calls Ric with the good news that Oriana can continue to be Ines Valdivia. In their grand scheme of things, I no longer know (or care to understand) what that means.
This is apparently such a good news that Ric runs to share it with his lady love and calls her by her real name, Oriana.
And just then, after months of everybody calling her like that nonstop, only now Madhilde hears the name and blows a gasket. I mean, truly goes cuckoo. She immediately makes the connection between the Oriana she knows as Ines and Oriana Caligaris, Gabriel’s murderer.
Ric quickly tries to cover his mistake, but Maddy is not having any of this. She always had doubts, never trusted the impostora, heard the private detective talk to Paloma that time. She threatens to call the police just as Ruben and Cesar show up and try to get her to keep her mouth shut, too. The only one who doesn’t fight the reveal is Oriana, and when Ric whispers to her that she can continue being Ines, she is very happy, too. (I’m sure I missed something in an old episode, does this mean she can continue to be a protected witness or whatever?)
Madhilde’s call reaches none other than the Inspector, who is with Manolo and they both rush over to Paloma’s house because some woman complained that there is criminal in the premises.
Paloma asks Maddy to calm down, too, even slaps her and throws her out … again.
Maddy runs to her room, Ruben follows to warn her that she’s making a mistake; she will now have to leave the house. Maddy doesn’t seem too happy with the idea to live alone, she’s pissed because the impostora stole everything from them. Ruben is pretty sure that if before she wasn’t out of Paloma’s testament, she will surely be from now on.
The neuro/pshyco doc comes for Paloma, who is having a mini crisis. Isn’t she supposed to be having heart problems, why is he there? Anyway, she calms down some, suggests to Oriana to leave this house to Maddy to be rid of her and maybe buy another house for themselves.
As the Inspector and Manolo arrive, too, Ric quickly tells Manolo that Oriana can continue being Ines and the Inspector tries to find out what happened. (Aren’t there some serious murders to investigate in Hermosillo, shouldn’t this be a rookie’s job?)
Maddy whines that Paloma slapped her and Ines is not Ines, but Gabriel’s murderer. Manolo explains to her what Ric tried to say before: Berto killed Gabe. But, no, that’s not good enough for Maddy, she is sure Ric bought the police in order to protect Oriana and he should be ashamed of his acts because that woman killed his father. Also, Paloma is a senile old fool. Ruben tries to shut her up and the Inspector asks her to come to the police the next day if she wants to file a complaint.

After things settle, Ric goes to Oriana’s room. They agree that Maddy’s problem is Paloma’s inheritance. Ric thinks they’ll have to drag her out of the house with the police because Paloma no longer wants her around. They briefly hold hands and then Oriana goes next to Palomita’s painting, crying and saying this is all HER FAULT! She wishes she could wake up and realize the last few months have been a nightmare.
Yeah, but plenty of good stuff happened, too, Ric says, like us and our love. Even if they have to face all these obstacles, they can overcome every adversity together.
Oh really, does Ric still love her? Yes, he does, how about if they make a refuge out of their love and live together in their bubble where she is forever his? (Oh, Lord... I'm not making any of this up, I swear!)
Oriana seems charmed by his smooth talking, asks for his protection and his love and his touches. They laugh, they talk, they kiss, they get down to it.

Mady is in her room, pouting, while Ruben and Fabiola pack her bags. She doesn’t want to go to Casa Bonita, not even for the night, so Ruben agrees to take her to another hotel. She takes one last look at the room, before finally leaving. Good riddance!

The doting wife Marilu is waiting for her cheating husband Ric to get home. Why was he out this late? Was he with sick Paloma or was he neatly tucked in Oriana’s bed? (I choose door number two for a million pesos). He also smells like her, the bastard.
Well, yeah, Ric shrugs his shoulders, he loves Oriana.
Marilu goes full on crazy, saying that she had hopes for them! What if she tells the social worker that their marriage is a lie? Ric doesn’t believe her capable of this, they could lose Alina. Marilu no longer cares, she never agreed to be cheated on, she doesn’t want a divorce and she no longer cares about their original plan, eithr – she wants her husband and HER daughter with her.
Fidelia comes down to ask what is going on. Marilu screams that Ric cheated on her and now he wants a divorce.

Avances
Marilu is on the phone with Oriana, reproaching her that she slept with Ric.

Adriana- Last night was the first time I saw the show in a few days. Sorry to have been MIA. The two biggest things I saw happen was that Mati discovered Ines is Ori and called the cops on her, which earned her a slap from Paloma and being kicked out of the house again. And Marilu got fed up being Ori's glorified nanny and being ignored by Ricky, and has started to loose it. It didn't help that Ricky got home really late after getting it on with Ori.

That's lose it. Looks like Cyn was right about Marilu. :)

Two other lesser things. Fabiola told Piero that he does not love him and that will not change. They will be friends only. She then spends some time with Leonardo.

Ricardo throws a jealous fit because Ines has lunch with Mariano. Our whining lovebirds are reunited at the end.

Homero gets word that the authorities are allowing Oriana to be Ines. This kept Matilde's efforts to blow the whistle on Oriana pretty much futile. I am not sure what the effect would be on Marilu's threat to reveal it all to the family court if Ricardo does not agree to stay with her.

I hope MADhilde ends up in a manicomio. That might be the only thing that will protect anyone around her from her evil intentions.

Everyone called it correctly on Marilu. She will be the next MADhilde.

That slap was awesome!

Piero's "who would marry someone with HIV and carrying another man's child, but I love her" line pithed me off. Piero is dead to me. Petulant a$$ if you ask me.

Good to see you, Vivi!

The recap is up, caraymates!

Sarah, I had a few nice words to say about Piero, too! What an A§§, indeed!

This is great, Adriana! My favorite line was "(All my complaints from before multiplied by a thousand would still not be enough to express how little I think of Ric right now)"

I feel the same way.

I think Malibu Marilu is doing Cyn proud. I'm glad she gets to recap Marilu's personality change.

Adriana,
This is a wonderful recap. I felt like you read my mind at every turn.

I did love the phony funeral mass that you described so well. Seems like the kind of scam that our dear old Homero would love!

Every time our neuro/psychologist/cardiologist (apparently) talks to JL, all I can think of is Analyze This, the old Billy Crystal and Robert De Niro movie about a gangster who goes to a shrink.

I apologize if this is too OT, but I wonder if anyone is watching the other night-time novelas and if anything else is good.

OT answer
I'm watching all the Univision TNs except LQLVMR and I'm keeping up with La Impostors and I check into Santa Diabla once in a while. I like them all. If the comment count is any indication LQLVMR must be fabulous, but I just can't get into it.

Traveling Lady, you can check out LQLVMR (yes, it is fabulous!)
Santa Diabla is awesome, but it's ending!

Adriana Noel - Terrific recap. Your commentary is always on point. My favorite: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg? The bipolar or the law breaking? The treatment or the family reunion?" Glad you pointed out JL took the pill with water. So something the doc said did sink in.

Yahoo! I know Marilu is acting crazy, but I prefer this to Stepford Wife. Ricky and Ori have been preoccupied with jail, a CD, and such, but would it have hurt them to show Marilu a little more respect? Like the two of them could’ve taken Marilu out to dinner together or Ori could’ve baked her some cookies. Better yet, they could take her on a double date with that hot undercover cop Mike.

Ah, Fabi is all grown up. She has sized up the Piero situation perfectly and given him the boot, in a nice way.

Traveling Lady, LQLVMR is much more retro than MPV but I like it. The galán over there is in a pretty dark period right now – I’m starting to confuse him with a villain.

Adriana thanks so much for your recap. Yeah Maddie's head did explode as she continued to vex Paloma and get herself thrown out of the house again. And Ricky and Oriana need to stop their whining.

Wow, I had thought Piero was too pushy but the turn the writers gave him last night was horrible. You were pushing yourself on a girl 20 years your junior b/c of her unfortunate circumstances and you wanting a do-over, you are upset she didn't fall in love w/you, you hate that others would be interested in her and now all women are fickle. No, that would be you fickle Piero. ITA Sara he's dead to me.

I know the writers did foreshadow Marilu Malibu Barbie's breakdown but I'm not understanding her wanting to have Alina. Oh right she's crazy now.

Nice to see you Vivi.

Niecie, you are so right w/Ale being more of a villain right now.

I can't help but laugh at how many times I've read "Paloma throws Mathilde out... AGAIN."

I am now starting to hate Marilu due to her beginning obsession for Ricardo. She needs to stop being crazy and move on with her f***ing life, there are other men she could date like Cesar and Mike.

As for Matilde, I hope by the end of the show she ends up in an asylum or alone poor and broke in the streets.

I loved Paloma's line about Mathilde's "cascabelitas". Maybe this time time Mathilde will leave for good.

Thanks Adriana, great job. I seriously amazes me that English is your second or third language.

While I may have been wrong about Marilu, I'm still holding out hope that someone like Fidelia slaps her during one of her crazy rants, then Marilu comes to her senses and realizes how crazy she's been acting.

Sara, how many times have we read Paloma kicks Matilde out of her house? How many times have we heard Ric and Oriana profess their love to each other then the next scene throw a jealous rant?

Loved the snarky recap, Adriana! Maybe it's time that Mariano took Ricky back to his holy gym and gave him another butt whopping. He seriously thinks that either Ori or Mariano would betray him? Get a grip, Ricky!

I think it was pretty obvious that Piero's obsession with Fabi had a lot to do with his recent failed marriage, and his guilt about Maria. He needs to deal with those issues before he has a relationship with any woman, not just a young, pregnant, HIV+ one like Fabi.

Traveling Lady- Yes, LQLVMR is a pot boiler that keeps the audience coming back for more each night. The hero is being an angry jerk, and the heroine is useless and weepy (so it won't go down as my all time fave), but it delivers on action each night, the leads have great chemistry, and they are very easy on the eyes.

Thanks Adriana. Missed the show but will watch on demand later. Sounds like a lot happened last night. What I don't get is Matilde's sense of entitlement. Paloma can make whom ever she wants her beneficiary. Her tia is still living and she is claiming stuff? that's messed up. Oh boy! Marilu is channeling JL very well. She has conveniently forgotten the marriage is only make believe. I feel sorry for her. She has believed the illusion of a happy family. What this her plan all along? Fooled us with the Stafford wife routine.
Thanks again Adriana for the awesome recap>

Hanna

Thanks Adriana, very funny and very well-written. I feel a bit guilty about enjoying:

"(In case the HIV doesn’t kill him first, JL. Wait in line, will you?)"

but then... you wrote it...

At first I was cheering Marilu when she finally let out some of her frustration over the situation, but Wow! Fembot malfunction alert.

Good for Piero's consistency... started icky... still icky.

Has Ricky abandoned the swishy scarf look?

Jardinera, I'm so sorry that I'm just now getting around to thanking you for your brilliant recap from Friday... it's great.

Carlos

Why would they have a funeral? It's not like Homero died at sea & they couldn't find a body. What about his driver, is his body still in the road somewhere?

Those that like the torment of bad novelas, Fuego en la sangre is on, 6PM EST, I think Mundo Fox. Not sure if CI passed it as the worst novela, 'cause I gave up on CI.

CI was the worst novela I've ever seen to the end.

FELS is on Unimas. If you want to see how Jorge Salinas looked in 2002, there's Las Vias del Amor on Unimas at 9AM EST. It's about at the halfway mark now.

HA.."fembot malfunction alert."..a defective Malibu Marilu , perhaps.

I've seen Jorge Salinas in Las Vias del Amor, waiting for Pasíon to come on, with my telenovio Fernando Colunga. JS was adorable & he still is. Gabriel Soto was cute too, but he leaves me blah. His acting hasn't even improved over the years.

So UA, you think CI was WORSE than FELS, hard to believe, but I was thinking that when I gave up watching.

It was much worse. The collective talent of the actors didn't equal that of the cast of FELS, the writing was far worse in that the story went completely off the rails, and it had no redeeming features like a good soundtrack or even a good overall production look.

Both suffered from Time Warp Syndrome, which is going to be my name from now on for series where the producers can't decide what time period it takes place in.

I'm rewatching FELS right now and have to say that its sets and most of its costuming were fabulous. The TV set that died on me had a really bad brightness problem so that I missed a lot of details. I'm also reading the recaps on it and I'm pleased to see that others saw that Diana Bracho was using Bernarda Alba as inspiration for Gabriela. Did you know that she once was in a production of that when she was younger? She played Amelia in a 1974 production.

For me CI was the absolute worst.
I vaguely remember FELS and I know I hated Adela Noriega's baggy clothes. I thought Pasion de Gavilanes was far superior, like a million times better.

I actually remember Jorge Salinas in Las vias del amor. It was my forst tn with him and Araceli Arambula, I remmeber enjoying it very much.
Some tns get stuck in your brain in a special way, even if they weren't all that great. Las Vias was one of them.

Variopinta...I watched both FELS and CI I, and I think CI as worse...much worse. CI seemed as if writers were switched in the middle of the hot mess. It made absolutely no sense , and I am pretty good at wearing my beanie and suspending my disbelief. The only reason I hung in and surfed in and out of CI was because of the dedicated recappers and their excellent recaps, I especially miss Carlos's photos and captions. I looked forward to them every week and was never disappointed.

Thanks for the novela recommendations. I thought about watching LQLVMR but understand that it is based on Amor Real. I so loved that novela that I just can't bring myself to watch it. Maybe I am being too rigid on the refrito question! Some of my favorites, La Mentira for example, were themselves refritos.

I have a couple of friends from Spain who have me hooked on Spanish novelas. I am about to start one that's called El tiempo entre los costuras, based on a best-seller by Maria Duenas. I hear that it's very compelling and was a huge success. Only 11 episodes so maybe it's more of a mini-series and available on line.

Maybe I will check in on FELS again just to see the crew as a younger bunch. That was a crazy novela for sure, but will have to take a look again at the costuming and sets.

Interestingly, a Spanish network did its own version of the Reyes brothers' story as a 26-episode miniseries. I bookmarked the network but unfortunately there are only a couple of complete episodes on it. It takes place in a city in modern times and the three actors who play the brothers are all attractive.

Even in FELS there were great performances by Diana Bracho& Guillermo Garcia Cantú, he is still my favorite villain. In CI I don't remember one character that I thought was doing a good job, however is wasn't their fault, it was Mrs Mejia's fault.

Since Amor Real is my favorite novela, I couldn't watch the new one either, present day just doesn't fit the story. SR & AB don't do a thing for me either. SR can't come close to FC as the modern Manuel.

Gracias, Adriana! It sure was a whirlwind episode!
