Emi and Grandma Mati were playing dominos, he keeps losing, ‘gambling debts are honor debts’. Tizoc calls him to go do homework. Emi leaves. Leo comes in dramatically (OMG!!! You would not believe the trauma I just went through! I got mugged!!) Tizoc undermines his experience. Leo says he was about to be bleeding to death. Then he undermines the barrio/neighborhood. Tizoc says if you know how to defend yourself nothing would happen to you around here. Leo says if you mean being a boxer or gorilla, that is far from my idea of a man. ‘my friend’. Tizoc begins rapping to him with sound effects. From now on you are my friend. Leo is nodding in rhythm… You are Leonardo el princeso!! (the prince). Leo does not appreciate the joke. And calls Tizoc naco. Grandma Mati enjoys the show. Laughs her butt off.

Back to Cabo San Lucas. She is trying to convince him to tune it down a couple notches (like Frida told her mom a while back). He reluctantly tells her about the grandpa clause. ‘el primer nieto que tenga un hijo en legitimo matrimonio’ and I plan to be the heir of the RP empire, to share with you ‘chiquita’. She says you should have told me earlier. Then she is biting her teeth as he continues reassuring her she will be pregnanty by the end of the honeymoon.

Back to Menchaaca… Lupe and Emi are working on geography homework. What countries border Brazil? Emi wants to change the subject, don’t you want to have a new boyfriend? Lupe tells him that type of things happen or don’t happen. Emi says he has already noticed Nepo is after her. She says she likes Nepo as a person but doesn’t know if he is the one she wants to share her life with. Emi says seriously, I would like for you to meet someone and for us three to become a pretty family. Emi’s next homework question is 5 rivers in Europe. Easy.

Nepo is asking Gwendy for advice. What should I do to conquer Lupita? Flowers? Or a branch of plaintains? Guendy says conquer the people around her. Her dad and her son. Nepo likes the advice. Guendy adds that the list includes the newly arrived relatives. I met the mom, they all seem up there,except the papocho Mike. Nepo has no choice but to compliment MA through his teeth as well. But honestly he is jealous of primo Mike. He is not ugly and he is elegant/fino. Guendy says you have your virtues as well. You and la Lupis and I would keep el Mike. Nepo glad she would leave him the field clear with Lupita. He can picture himself married to Lupita. Guendy same with Mike.

Grandma Mati/ Don Chuy reminisce about wrestling legends from the past.

Don Chuy goes and MA comes in. very cute scene where Grandma notices he is very worried about something. Its about your wellbeing. I am fine here with you all and with Hijo de Sumatra and his family.

MA: I don’t say it often enough but I love you very much. (scene filled with nice hugs). Lupe watches the final hug)

A-hole: if you ever missed MA, you will definitely forget him now! GRRR!!! She lies through her teeth, you are thousand times better than him, you are the god of Sex… (GAG!!) (funny, I think she would enjoy getting her wisdom teeth removed without anesthesia better)

Out in the indoor patio, with clothes hung, MA is taking it on the clothes. Lupe notices he is upset. Lupe asks if Grandma fell asleep. MA thinks so. You need rest too. Yes, but if you need something, please…

Lupe asks him how is the search for evidence of his innocence going? MA says very slowly. Even if you all pay me, it seems I will need to spend more time here than I said before… Lupe says it won’t be so quick for us to put together the money we owe you. Also, she apologizes for calling him ‘balbero’, she is a quick mouth at times. Forgive me. (they again stare at each other, smiling) She says she keeps thinking he is still hiding something… (we hear some more lines on a slower version of the novella theme)

Next morning, Lupe checks if Emi is ready for school. Nepo arrives, also Don Chuy arrives on another side. Nepo brought a case of fresh fruit. They thank him. Don Chuy invites him to breakfast. Lupe asks him to walk with her and Emi to Emi’s school. Nepo will drive them. When Nepo exits, Don Chuy asks Lupe when did she begin acloser relationship with Nepo. She leaves, Don CHuy a bit concerned.

Nepo drops them at school. Nepo and Emi get along great. When Emi heads into school, Nepo tries again to bring the subject with Lupe. He is imagining himself, her, Diego Armando and Emi as a family. She nags that they have not got married and he is already thinking family. Going too fast, aren’t you? He goes deaf… he admits he is a bit dumb to speak clearly. He reminds her of their date tonight. She gets in the car to stop the conversation. Lets go!

MA comes down to fonda. Finds Don CHuy alone. Don Chuy offers him breakfast. Don CHuy asks how well did Dona Mati sleep. MA assumes good. She has been playing with Emi a lot. Don Chuy says this is no place for a dame like that. She needs things that we don’t have here. MA says he is so ashamed with him. Don Chuy is happy to host her, but don’t you have a relative with a house with fewer steps, somewhere she could be more comfortable? MA says not really. How could I pay for a place like that? We can’t pay for a fruit! Don CHuy repeats the inquiry, seriously. Maybe a long lost relative. From all the money Don Aureliano made and split among his kids and grandkids, did all the RP really lose everything?? MA clarifies the only ones that fell in disgrace are the RP-Romagnoli. Don CHuy assumes then there should be other RPs who can provide your grandma with better facilities. MA assures him the only place his grandma can be safe is in this house. Don CHuy applies the guilt trip about MA actually telling the whole story. MA hesitates. But decides not to. Obviously MA is hungry, tries to take a bite from Don CHuy’s plate, but DC comes back and picks it up, leaving MA drooling leaning on chair.

Don CHuy runs into Gwendy. He will stop by her business soon. She asks him to tell him what he knows about cousin Mike. He is at first clueless, ah you are talking about Miguel Angel. He mentions he does have some cousins in US. (but still has not made the connection she meant she thinks MA is his cousin) Now it is him that needs an explanation. She won’t say no more. He thinks she is acting strange.

Back at Fonda. Carme comes back, seems they have some customers. Carme wants Lupe to go to Gwendy to get a bit makeover for her date tonight. Lupe hesitates but ends up listening to her. Don CHuy comes and asks Carme if she has noticed anything strange on Lupe lately. He mentions that Tizoc and Perla Ivette were about to tell him something and didn’t. Carme tries to come up with silly excuses. Don Chuy takes his exit. He will take a while, he leaves her alone in fonda.

Don Chuy goes to RP,apparently. Asks the receptionist for MA. She asks why he is looking for him. He comes with a simple excuse. She says MA has not worked there for a while. Don CHuy asks if she knows how he could contact MA. She says MA is out of the country, and cannot offer more info. Don CHuy compliments her on having a job (LOL!). Takes his exit. The security guy tells him don’t bother coming asking for MA again, Rumor says he committed a huge felony and fled the country. (Don CHuy’s demeanor changes to not so happy). Security guy says as soon as MA returns to Mexico he will head to jail. Must be well hidden in Europe. Just telling you so you don’t take another useless trip here. Don Chuy thanks him ‘se acerco UD a mi calor’ (you got me the answer I needed,?)

Back at Fonda, Lupe is back with fixed up hair and makeup. Emi is loving her ‘luks’. MA comes down, Emi asks him to confirm Lupe is the prettiest. MA confirms it. Emi will go get aunt’s camera. (leaves). Just in time because here is Don Chuy who is not in listening mood, he charges over to MA, won’t listen even a word from a burglar/felon!! (Lupe realizes he knows the story and lowers her head, covering her mouth in shame) Who is hiding from the police and who took advantage of his surname to get in MY HOUSE!!! And putting in danger the most valuable I have, my family!! (goes on to practice wrestling moves on MA, carrying him, spinning him and dropping him on a table… MA hides under the table.) (of course they used stunts for both men)

At Gwendys, Nepo is getting a haircut for his date. She is giving him advice. Don’t go too slow or too far. You have to be romantic. We love that. Give her a small gift. Maybe a stuffed monkey, a sweet message balloon, don’t you dare give her platanos, she will smash them on your head!! (LOL!)

Back at Fonda, Frida comes down, Tizoc and Carm hold Don Chuy back, while Lupe is on floor with MA, But Don Chuy gets off from them and takes table away from MA and begins to shout for him to get up, I am just getting started! It takes the entire Menchaaaca family to hold Don CHuy away while Frida is down on floor with MA. Don Chuy nags at his family for lying to him to protect the menso ese!! Can’t believe you all forgot the main thing I taught you! He is out of control, yelling at Lupe, probably for 1st time. Just like with Lupe, the big sin is the lie. How far were you ready to go?? MA jumps to defend Lupe. All they did was to help me. I did not commit the fraud or steal I am accused of. All I need is a chance to prove I am innocent. Tizoc mentions the deal they had made with MA about the house deed. Lupe explains that MA offered to put the deed in their name in exchange to hide him from police. Don CHuy not sold on the terms of the deal. Did you accept?? Well, at first yes, and later I realized it was not fair for anyone, and I thought if we gave him some time he could prove his innocence!! Don Chuy won’t accept the deal. You can spin around the ‘green’ children of mine, but not me. And even though I feel bad for hitting a grandson of Don Aureliano, we will settle this mess right now outside!! (chaos ensues) Frida begins to yell ‘Don’t be bad, Chuy! Breathe deeply and Exhale!! Breathe! Exhale!! (making sign of peace LOL!)

Nepo is ready for his date. He feels more ‘eye candy’ than earlier. Like Pablo Montero. Wendy gives him the send-off tap… Asks Diego Arm if his dad doen’t look GQ. Diego confirms. And you, follow my advice. Diego asks if the date is for real. Nepo says there comes the time you have to settle for good. Diego says he has other plans. Nepo says his plans are fame, fortune, you will be a futbol star!! (again Diego does not seem so sold on that picture of his future). Nepo realizes Diego not so enthused. Its your life. But you have a ‘kick’ virtue. And if you don’t take advantage of it, chale, what disappointment. I am leaving cause I don’t want to be late for my date. But think about it. A bad decision is something you will regret. Like a bad penalty shot by Chicharito. Besides, you could even have become a celebrity on television.

Back to the chaos at Fonda… Don Chuy threats MA he will rip his skin off. Grandma Mati arrives (with Emi) to put order to the chaos. Lupe denies that anything wrong is going on, they were playing and celebrating. This gives MA a chance to speak.

MA: Don CHuy! Please! All I did since I got to Mex was to improve the business deals of my grandpa. I worked hard, and even invested my own money. But when I was accused of the fraud, someone framed me!!

Don Chuy won’t believe him, and is about to call the police. Lupe yells at him saying yelling and threatening won’t fix anything. MA says he can’t cover the sun with a finger, can’t keep on lying. Can’t convince you. Ok. But as long as I don’t cause you any more trouble, I will turn myself in.

Frida jumps now. You can’t do that! We all know here in this country you are guilty until proven innocent (the reverse of the law) We obviously won’t allow my brother to go to jail unfairly. Are you all with me, companeros?? (Frida has obviously found her new cause of revolution, but she only gets all the Menchaaacas to turn their backs on them) NO TO INJUSTICE!!! NO TO INJUSTICE!!! All the Menchacas turn back toward them, but briefly… all except Lupe who continues to face them… Frida will go get her mother. He asks her not to leave him alone, then yells at her to bring the dog!! LOL!(he turns to Lupe as a puppy asking for support)

Grandma Mati is sleepint through it all, but AS wakes up… yells ‘terca miseria’!! She hears the chaos downstairs… Leo has been sleeping on the floor of her room. HE is scared of the streets now. She kicks him out. He asks for compassion’ it is too cold up there at the attic. Frida comes in begging her to help MA out… As refuses, she is just a poor widow in bankruptcy. With four children, alone, with no money or support and with her reputation totally muddied up. Frida asks her desperately to use her claws(palancas), her connections (conectes). We have to prevent MA from ending up in jail! AS claims MA is old enough to fix his own problems. So go let him fix it on his own. Mati leans up and tells her ‘you should preside over the club of selfish mothers, AS’. AS nags at her snoring like a bear in a cave ‘porca miseria’. Frida reminds AS about the MA-jail emergency’ to no avail. .

Lupe vows for MA to her family, can’t let him go to jail. MA thanks her ‘but there is no other option’. Your dad wants to hit me. I know you want to support me and I am very thankful to you for that. But (signals to her to come close) your dad is very angry. Don Chuy heard and says Yeah you are right, and there is plenty reason!! MA admits there is. Don CHuy agrees with MA, best thing is for the police to come arrest MA. Frida and AS have joined the chaos downstairs. Frida jumps to defend MA, she won’t allow MA to go to jail. AS says it is not the best solution. Imagine the scandal for everyone if the police comes. No siree. My name and reputation are in play. (She said it in Italian accent, and MA has to translate).

In the middle of all that Nepo makes his entry. Don Chuy apologizes for him having to come into a chaotic moment. Nepo says no need to apologize. You just say ‘toad’ and I will jump. Don Chuy asks him if he knew that the ones over there are my family? Nepo says yes, Lupita had told him they were relatives coming from the Unites. But if you want me to leave so you can solve your family issues, I can leave. Don CHuy asks him to stay instead. That way I can tell you the story of how our ‘dear’ relatives came. Lupe whispers to Don Chuy that it would be better if Nepo leaves. Don CHuy insists he will stay!!
