Happy Thursday
I will have the recap up shortly.
I am not sure what is going on but tonight's episode was (according to the recent editing) supposed to be 81 and 82. Tonight's episode is 80 online. I recapped what I saw on TV and I will try to watch and recap the online episode tomorrow.

TJ thanks so much for your recap. Uni's snipping tns starts to make one paranoid that this isn't the only tn they are messing with. Again if they want to be the #1 network, they have to learn that viewers will stop watching your network if you pull crap like this.

The writers need to give us more small victors for the good guys. Isa needs to keep So-not at arms length, she also needs to realize Javier is Feo and start plotting to reveal him. And she needs to start seeing Daphne for who she really is. I know I've put a lot on Isa but she still does have Gabi and they are the some of the only ones with brains.

I also hope Tita's sixth sense starts working as well. The potential body count in this tn is scary. As Diana noted yesterday, So-not is heartless. Between the padre and her cousin, I think her actions have been really bad and the fact that she has a team mate in Feo is awful.

Univision is really frustrating me. I guess that they have to slow down the editing because we are almost caught up to Mexico's episode 105.
I love the way Gaby checks someone out when she meets them. Gaby and Tita are on point and Isa is not too far behind.
I could have snapped Borlas' suspenders last night!!!
 

TJ- I didn't get a chance to watch the episode yet, so I really appreciate the recap.

I read somewhere that the audience really liked the Marianela character, and it makes me wonder if the writers decided they needed to get rid of the incest storyline because it would tick the audience off. If this is where they are going, by having her being abandoned by another mysterious blond woman, so be it. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'll be happy for her and Dan if they can actually be together.

Meanwhile, Borlas continues to slide down that slippery slope. He can share a jail cell with Dante and Gonzo at the end.

The enemies are getting closer to the gates! Dante inside the house, Ara and Fab dating the enemy and bringing them to the house for dinners.
 

Vivi, Isabel better get Dirty Harry Callahan to save the day because the conspirators are itching to launch another surprise attack.

Are y'all sure Sonia is NOT Mari's mother? This is getting into Maury Povich territory.

On Dante: are his dumb parents ever going to find out the truth about their son ?

Borlas: GET SOME DIFFERENT CLOTHES MAN. It's embarrassing

Daphne: I would be shocked if she's actually Sonia's daughter because the parents she ran away from looked too old.

Linda- I read your late comment from yesterday that for whatever reason Sonia has let Padre and Cuca think Mari is hers. I said it yesterday, and I'll say it again. The only thing that would be worse than abandoning a child is killing a child. Seems to me that would be the only reason to go along with this mistake, if indeed Mari isn't her child.

Vivi thanks for your thoughts on the apparent plot change with Sonia & Mari. The English captions did show Sonia saying Mari isn't hers. Since everything up to now has pointed to her being Mari's mom, the writers must have changed direction here. And so now the only reason why she would continue allowing Padre & Cuca to think this is as you said, she either killed or dumped her child some where. Clearly not a stretch for this vicious character. But it does not explain why she looked at Feo in horror when he expressed contempt for his own kids.
 

I was just thinking about Mari and Dan. During one of the early shoes, Don Gil said that he adopted and raised Sucia as if she was his daughter. If that is so then are Sucia and Dan really related?
I hope that Mari's role changes because what is there not to like about her? Sucia is denying Mari but since she is going to such lengths to conserve her "purity" I believe that Mari is her daughter. I could be wrong ;-)
 

TJ I didn't know/hear about the adoption on Gil's part but I didn't see some of the early shows. If that is the case, there is no blood tie b/t Sonia and Dan. I guess the brain trust of Padre and Cuca never knew that? With their level of intelligence (NOT) this isn't surprising but the writers should then have done a better job of letting us know this is a false incest scare. Who knows the writers may have but blankity-blank Uni has deleted so much perhaps its on the cutting room floor.

Thought your title was superb and totally on point! Your supporting material "Dan gives Mari a hug, and Gil walks away. (Money doesn’t buy you class)" was excellent.

"It’s the start of Borlas’ revenge. He called to the authorities...and told them about her harboring the five kids. He wants Mari to suffer" captured his despicable plan perfectly. I thought he was nice at first - sucked in by his seeming "devotion" to the children. I was clearly duped.

And you quickly went to the heart of the matter regarding Ara's true feelings about Feo: "I’ve gone too far with him. Not quite the thought bubble An enamored woman would have". So true!

Vivi and Karen, thank you for explaining the apparant shift in relationships that may leave Mari and Daniel free to truly be together.

Karen, I'm puzzled as to what Sonia did do with her child if Mari is not indeed her daughter. Perhaps it's best not to ponder this?? If so many of us did clearly not clearly remember Sonia's horrified look when Feo "expressed contempt for his kids", I might be thinking we imagined that! Is there a heart beating in this monster?

Karen, also, you are right in that Isa is the key behind unlocking Feo's secrets. As much as I want Ara to end her relationship with Feo, I fear for her safety as this unanticipated break might send Feo off on an even more heinous revenge spree.

I am very confused. if Gil adopted Sono when he married her mother, and then , he had Dan with Sono's mother, Dan and soon would have the same mother....verdad ?

I will hang in until the end just to see what happens to Sono and Favier , the dreadful puppet masters. I liked borlas because he reminds me of a young Ed Yanez , and he was always cheerfully smiling and seemed so good with the kids and Mari! but the writers decided to take him to the dark side. Que lastima,

I like Gaby and Tita's no nonsense good sense . have you ever tried to warn someone that the person they are falling on love with is bad ? They never believe you, so this element of this story is so accurate. Love is blind..and often stupid and careless.

Tofie..I love your concise shutouts to each character.
 

Here's the problem with primadonnas like ABrat. They are not enamored with anything but themselves. She will think it the most natural thing in the world to expect Esteban to forget and forgive when she flutters back over to him only to run off with some other dude when she develops a crush. What's sick about this thing is she threw Esteban out for his dad and gave dad her virginity and can't take that back. Doubt she would be giving Esteban a second thought if The Duck wasn't involved
 

A great recap TJ---You wrote several lines that caused me to especially notice but you really got me with Susia is talking so much that I have to put my boots on. Yes boots were definitely needed. So-not was really pouring
it on last night. As I watched I could see Isa falling into the trap. Isa wants to be a good person and forgive but as it was said---can a leopard change its spots? I wonder what Art is going to say about this new development

And speaking of Tassels---For me,
he is so sad. I mean he was a good person until the dark side got a hold of him and now all that he has to look forward to is a jail cell with his friends Gonzo and Dante.

Now let's see---The children are living in a mansion. Is that better than an orphanage or no? One got sick. Do children ever get sick? One got lost. Ok, there should have been tighter supervision of the children but is that reason enough to have them taken away? I don't think so.
No vaccinations? It's easy to fix that, just march them down to the local/family doctor. Problem solved. I know that this is a novela but in real life---I don't think that the anonymous charges have any merit, they just wouldn't hold water.

Ara's back---Dafne's paradise is ending. What's next for her? I guess that we will have to stay tuned.

Pro - known her a long time and she sure is purdy

Con - Dependent, Capricious, Sleeps with "mature" men she doesn't know after a few dates, lazy, considers university a social outing, rages at friends and family, destroys property, thinks her poo don't stink, defiant to a fault, condescending, bad driver, can hold her liquor and even her step mom look better in a bikini

Pretty easy decision I think
