I think you got most if it. Ugh, We finally got MA out of that suit...I was hoping someone would confiscate it while they had the chance.

I think the 7mil was actually what they made after the expenses. At least that was what I heard. So they did make some money, just not as much as they could have if there hadn't been problems.

Also, all their permits were in order. When MA caaasually asked about it, Lulita was all "like I'd be stupid enough to put in something like this without the permits!" MA really underestimates her.
 

Oh, no wait, you were right...they did have to pay more for stuff that got broken? I wasn't clear on what.
 

Madelaine, thank you for your wonderful recap especially the title. I was hoping the suit would be gone but no, no luck there.

My favorite scenes:

Don Chuy with his plunger treatment..

MA whining in pain on the couch.

Leonardo talking with his hands and the movement being punctuated by percussion: drum and cymbal.

Frida keeping Jose Tizoc under control with the dish towel. Is this a "skill" she learned from Lupita ?

Nepo getting to peck Lupita only on the cheek.


I felt sorry for the Menchacas that after the whole mess their expenses ate up any real profits. But then they do have their ace in the hole: their money in the floor.

I don't think the stinky suit count should get a reset. MA did wear the suit most of that day and is probably going to be back in it shortly. So far he hasn't gone a day without wearing it. Just my opinion. LOL!

Ahole is going to be a little harder for Mini to manage than he seemed. I thought Mini might just wear him down with her persistent whiny coaxing about the post-nup, pre-bebe security agreement. But Ahole seemed pretty pissed with her last night.

Mini wears more eye makeup at night than she does during the day!

Diego does seem unhappy. I don't think we saw a glimmer of a smile the entire time he was at the event.

Before I read beyond the first paragraph, though, I want to say - I see no reason to restart the number of stinky suit days since the suit wasn't washed during that time, AND he probably wasn't out of that suit long enough for it to even air out.

I mean, presumably he takes it off for showers too, but we don't reset the timer for that, right? So I say keep counting until he WASHES it or changes it.

And if he changes but doesn't wash it and then puts it on again later (assuming it hasn't been mistaken for a corpse and been eaten by vultures), we resume the count from whatever it was when he took it off.
 

ITA, no stinky suit reset. It still is the same old stinky same old. Lol

Okay, this will be day 28 of the Stinky Suit. I will keep counting until he finally gets rid of that suit. Ya'll are right, he didn't even have it off long enough to clean it or air it out. I too am surprised it wasn't standing up by itself by this time ; )
 

Yep MA underestimates Lupe and for that matter all of the Menchacas. I really get a lot of glee when he gets beaten by them. I hate the fact that he is so arrogant and smug that he thinks with his money and education he is so superior to them. He hasn't got a clue about the fact that just because they are poor it doesn't mean they are stupid. Way to go Menchacas.

Also liked the idea that Lupe wondered who had called the police. I'm pretty sure the barrio people never would have done it and she knows it. If she finds out it was MA he might end up with a bigger beatdown then he got as a faux luchador. Oh and what a whiny little baby. LOL

I agree Diego doesn't ever loo happy. I think Nepo is in for a big shock when his son finally works up the nerve to tell him he isn't going to be a rich and famous futballer and hold the World Cup trophy. Nepo may be a nice and generous guy but it is time for him to stop trying to live his dream through his child.

i think you meant A=hole.

also, about the money being counted. they owed Chilaquiles about 2,500 pesos but he said the ring 'lona'(fabric) was ripped adn he found out it would be another 2.500 to fix it.
then JT said he needed 3,000 pesos for the equipment rental, so they were left with under 2.000 clean revenue, not much at all.

 

LOL, Barbara. If it hadn't taken me so long to write that first thing about the suit, I would have seen that you beat me to it.

Nice to know the Menchacas still had a little bit left after all the expenses (thanks for getting that, Marta - I couldn't keep up), but Sharky the Sleazebag will be expecting a payment from them too now. So if Lupe gives MA all the money from Nepo, she probably won't be able to make her payment to Sharky. I think he's still collecting only interest from them, and the interest goes up if she misses a payment... and meanwhile she's not paying down the principal at all, so this loan is just going to get more and more expensive.

I did see Diego smile a little when he was watching the wrestling, but he doesn't smile so much when his dad is around. (Soccer players don't drink? Really, Nepo?)

And Lupita put Nepo off yet again to take care of her wounded cousin. She doesn't smile so much around Nepo, either. How long will it take Nepo to figure out there's something missing in his relationships with his son and his novia?

You are so right about Sharkey and he is eagerly awaiting the money. And you are right about Deigo and Lupe too. I think Nepo already thinks something isn't right with "My Name Is Mike" and Lupe. I wonder if his jealousy of "My Name is Mike" will be his undoing.
 

I fixed the recap for the money amount and also about Ahole knowing what the property is worth not MA. I was really tired when I wrote the recap and had MA on the brain ; )

Maybe MA will lose some of his arrogance if he is chucked out with that money from the Menchacas got from Nepo. Where will he go then? With the whiny family in tow? I think AS and Leo are the worst for the arrogance and whining. I also don't like that MA is trying to swindle the Menchacas.

Poor Diego. He needs to go out on his own, but he really doesn't have a job. He works for Nepo. I agree Nepo does need to stop living his dream through Diego.

So agree with you about Mini as far as Ahole goes. But she is really smarter than I thought. She has always believed that maybe Ahole had something to do with MA's fraud, so I wonder if she will be the catalyst to expose him. That would be something. She is keeping her eyes on Ahole.

They aren't missing any permits, but when the police saw that Lupe already had all the required stuff, they seemed disappointed and mentioned something about getting fire safety inspections or something like that - but whatever it was, it wasn't within their jurisdiction and it sounded as though they were just being petty, trying to shake Lupita's well-deserved confidence.

In that case Nepo came in handy with his cousin who is some kind of official and he steered the cops out when they were nattering on about finding something else.

Exactly where will the arrogant RP's go when Lupe hands over the money. MA will have to get down on his knees and grovel and sit the rest of the family - minus Frieda and Mati - down and tell them to get off their high horses and contribute because the Menchacas have the upper hand and can throw them and their stuff out on the street. Maybe then their attitudes will begin to turn around.
 

The sound equipment rental should really be paid by the RPs, since Frida is the one who destroyed the original equipment.

I'm curious to see if the RPs really move out, and what will happen to them. Even if the Menchacas can pay them the whole amount owed, with the loan from Nepo (if nothing happens to that money in the floor before they can hand it over), I think the RPs can run through that much cash in no time, and then what? MA and Saul need to get some competent detectives/auditors on the fraud case. What are they expecting to find by rooting through A-hole's desk? A file labeled "Fraud Pinned On MA"?
 

Nepo did get all buddy-buddy with the cops and schmooze them out the door by talking about his cop relative, but Lupita didn't look concerned at all when they were babbling about fire exits and extinguishers. I think she knows how to run her business and has nothing shady or not up to snuff to hide.
 

Julia, you said it: "if nothing happens to the money before they can hand it over". Do all of the Menchacas know about the secret stash site or just Lupita and don Chuy? How much did AS see with her dead fisheye stare as she passed the bathroom as Lupita was hiding the money? This is going to get very interesting of the money is there or not.

Thanks so much Mads! I missed the episode, but must watch this weekend to see MA get a well deserved beat down. :) Can't wait till they find out he's the one who called the cops.

I am also worried that the money will go missing, and I would not be surprised in AS got her greedy hands on it and spent it on gin.
 

That was a very nice recap. I loved the title. Even if he's going to wear the suit all the time, he could still change out of it temporarily and have it cleaned, or at the very least wash his shirt. Maybe he should start wearing his clothes in the shower lol.

My favorite parts of this episode were Don Chuy giving MA first aid and Mini pretending to talk in her sleep. I really enjoy the ugly faces she and Ahole give when the other isn't looking.

Hey Mads, thanks for your great recap and filling in. Your stinky suit count makes me crack up every time.

I too hope MA's beat down stops him from becoming like his wretched cousin.

Don't think the money will be there (a guess). Hope AS doesn't spend it all on booze. She and Leo are so tiresome. I wish MA, Mati, and Frida could stay and the whiners go the boot.


 

I wish Frida would go back to that charity place and take Mati to get some clothes. That poor woman has been wearing the same pajamas for days and days! Surely she'd like to freshen up. Ideally they'd get something for MA, too, but his outfit is starting to seem like one of those protest things where he'll wear that until he gets his money and life back.
