De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #11 3/24/14

I'll be filling in for 5ft for the next three days so she can get a much needed break.

Lupita brings snacks and mentions to Natalia that she saw Diego outside talking to the lawyer.

Eleazar and Jackie look through mugshots hoping to find The Shrimp. The Shrimp calls right on cue and asks Jackie out. He's got a surprise for her. She and Eleazar assume it's a trip.

Natalia confronts Diego and the lawyers. She's convinced his intentions are bad it's just some sadistic set up or trap. She wants to know how long he's going to keep pursuing and torturing her. She sends Diego and the lawyer away. Diego says it's the last time he's helping or getting near her and next time she'll have to come begging. She says that will never happen. Later she has to tell Abdul and Papá Juancho she got rid of the lawyer. They are going to keep that to themselves for a while.

Eleazar is eager to get The Shrimp and the whereabouts of Car-louse. He tells his team to double check communications and the back up team. Jackie hopes they get results. Otherwise, there's little hope of proving his friend is innocent.

Diego reiterates that he's done with Natalia Garcia.

Jackie arrives for her "date" with The Shrimp. Thugs try to kidnap her but the cops catch them. None of them appear to be The Shrimp.

Irene is all packed up and ready to go back to Monterrey. She just doesn't have it in her to fight anymore. She confesses to not going to her therapy appointment with Alonso. Diego convinces her to stay and give it another shot. If it doesn't work, he will help her go back to Monterrey.

Car-louse wants to know if Shrimp got rid of the police woman. He gets pithed when he hears about the thwarted plan. He wants to know how the police found out. The Shrimp assures him she (Jackie or Carmen) will pay.

Natalia breaks the news to the family that they don't have a lawyer anymore. Natalia didn't think he was going to to be able to help.  Brigitte says Natalia didn't even meet him and thinks the lawyer was handsome (clearly that proves he knows what he's doing.) Lupita wants them to do a drug test on mom, but Natalia explains gently that it wouldn't help since mom is not accused of using drugs, but transporting them.

Grumps berates Diego for not picking up the Johanssens from the airport.

Natalia moons over Diego. Was he sincere or not? He looks at me with such sweet eyes. She still has it bad for him.

Diego does a little thought bubble mooning of his own. He can't believe what an effect she has on him.

Natalia and Papá Juancho interview a lawyer. He's gonna charge 50 mil pesos. Yikes! They'll keep looking.

Irene comes to Alonso for therapy. She apologizes for standing him up at the last appointment. This isn't her first therapy appointment. She's an alcoholic. When he asks why she thinks that is, she says she feels empty. She doesn't have a reason to live. She doesn't have family and doesn't get along with her dad. Diego is the only one who cares. She's the loneliest woman in the world.

Eleazar comes to visit Carmen in jail. They can't find Carlouse. He asks for any details. She remembers the job that Carlouse set up for Natalia.

Natalia and Papá Juancho continue to look for a lawyer. This one is afraid of narco cases.

Irene continues her terapía with Alonso and mentions she's adopted. Alonso had no idea. She explains that judging from the way dad treats her, he clearly just did it because her mom wanted to adopt. She doesn't really talk about it because she doesn't want people to pity her. Alonso doesn't pity her. Alonso wants to continue, but Irene cuts it short. Alonso says it will be Dr./Patient in the office and friends outside the office. Um? Wha?? Ethical?

Eleazar tracks down Natalia and asks her to ID the Shrimp. He gets the address to the Shrimp's place of business. It's the only connection they have to Carlouse.

Diego and the Als pack up Alonso's apt. They talk about Natalia and Diego assumes he's never going to see her again.

Eleazar's sting operation does not yield the Shrimp or Carlouse or drugs. Without Carlouse it's going to be hard to prove Carmen's innocence. Jackie calls to tell him that Carmen is being transferred to the reclusorio the next day. He calls Natalia.

The three amigos are still moving and packing. Diana calls and asks to stay one more night. Diego is fine with it. Alonso and Alberto laugh about confusing Diana and her cousin's canoodling. Diego laughs. Diana would never ponerle el cuerno.

Karina calls in sick. She has the flu.

Natalia comes to Diego asking for the lawyer again. She will accept the help, but one a condition. She wants to pay for the lawyer and asks if the position with Caprico is still open. It is. She insists on keeping their relationship professional. No first names. It's "ingeniero" or "Sr. Caceres". It's "Señorita Garcia". No lunch dates, no dates. He agrees to put the past behind them. She says "ni pasado, ni presente, ni futuro." They agree she'll start tomorrow. She'll stop by personnel.

Carmen will be transferred to the reclusorio. Eleazar comforts her has she cries for her children and proclaims her innocence.

Diego asks personnel guy to give Natalia a secretary job. She starts tomorrow.

Natalia tells her siblings she's re-hired the lawyer that Diego offered. They have to do their best for mom. Alberto calls and assures he will do his best for them.

Diana and the Sexter are lunching. He gets a call from Gilda (his agent I assume.) There's a commercial he's got to do. Diana is mad he didn't turn it down. He promises to make it up to her.

Alberto visits Carmen in jail.

Papá Juancho finds out Carmen is being transferred and that Natalia is accepting Diego's lawyer and a job from him. Papá Juancho advises caution.

Carmen arrives at the reclusorio.  Alberto is doing all he can. Eleazar is also there. Alberto ascertains that Eleazar also thinks she's innocent. They discus Carlouse. Alberto wants to know more. Albeto thinks they can get Carmen out on bail since she doesn't have a record. Eleazar will continue to look for Carlouse.

Diana is back and wants to eat dinner with Diego. He puts her off, but she finally convinces him.

Carmen finds a card with the Virgen del Carmen tucked in her pillow. Her cellmate, Consuelo Ledesma, arrives and thank heaven it's not the usual TN cellmate bully. She's also a devotee of the Virgen del Carmen.

Diana blathers on and on. She wants to know when he's going to take her to Cancún. He can't. He thinks to himself that he only wants to be in the office when Natalia is there. Alberto calls and they plan to see each other later. Diana is a little annoyed and doesn't want to be alone. Diego reminds her she was gone two days and he didn't complain.

A painting arrives for Irene. Yup. It's from Ta-douche-o. The note enclosed says you can always put the pieces back together and build it anew. Irene tears up the letter and tells Lala to get rid of the painting.

Alberto arrives at the fondo and meets Brigitte. He reports on Carmen. It's a complicated case, but he's going to try and get the charges reduced and get her out on bail. They can go see her tomorrow. They family is thrilled.

The three amigos unpack. They can't find the booze because they didn't label the boxes. Diana texts and they worry Diego is going to bail (vocab note-to-self: mandilón=henpecked.) Alberto asks if Diana knows who his new secretary is. Alonso worries that Karina was fired. Karina will continue in her post. They needed a second assistant. Diego asks them not to mention to Diana that Natalia is the girl from Tuxpan.

Diego comes home super drunk and brushes of Diana's sexual advances.

Natalia arrives for work. Grumps sees her and wants to know what the hell she's doing working there.

Avances

  • Grumps warns Diana to watch her husband.
  • Diana gets mad.
  • Natalia spills red stuff (kool aid or tomato juice?) on Diana's white dress.

I tried to make up for lack of wit by being speedy. Fill in where needed and accept my apologies for such a dry recap.

Sara, fabulous recap! Your wit was evident throughout but especially with "thinks the lawyer was handsome (clearly that proves he knows what he's doing)" and "Alonso says it will be Dr./Patient in the office and friends outside the office. Um? Wha?? Ethical?" HA!

Along with you, I was very relieved Carmen's cell mate was not crazy, nasty or a bully. A little relief.

Diana is so selfish - she wants all her men to be at her beck and call. Heaven forbid their work separate her from her every need.

Hoping the Shrimp gets apprehended soon and that Carmen can be sprung. Pronto.

Diana

Thanks Sara. The recap was perfect. Thanks for taking over for Kat this week and giving her a break.

I've missed a few episodes, but I see Nat and Diego still haven't cleared things up. Oh well! At least they've called a truce.

I'm surprised by what good guys the Als turned out to be. In the first episode they seemed like airhead frat boys. What a difference a few years make!

I wonder if Grumps has such a dislike for Natalia because she reminds him of Irene?

Diana is a lazy bum. It's a wonder Grumps hasn't called her out for being a lazy bum (or maybe he thinks women shouldn't work). Now she's all mad because Oliverio has to work. Work is what keeps you laced with designer clothes, lady!

Jackie & Em shouldve known Bubba Gump would find her out since the TV cameras were there. Now Bubba Gump is plotting to make her pay.

Is Carlos still in Mexico? (city, country) If not, he needs to stay out (of course that won't help Carmen). But he'll be stupid and come back.

Does Irene have a job of any kind? Or just living off of Grumps' money? And why is Tadeo still bothering her?

Perfect recap Sara, tks

Maybe there is hope for this novela since they didn't use the crazy cellmate cliche.

Is the cell mate the same actress who read the snails in AV?

I eenjoy watching this since it's a little lighter and not as heavy and evil as PSMA.

Gracias, Sara! Whaddaya mean lack of wit? You had plenty. My favorite one has already been mentioned..."clearly that proves he knows what he's doing"...um, Brigitte, there's a difference between "lawyer" and "underwear model."

I'm also glad we didn't get the typical prison-bully-for-roommate scenario.

I have the impression that Irene does have some type of freelance job having to do with art. I think that was the reason Tadeo was able to get Cristobal's help in luring her out to the gallery. She didn't act like it was out of the ordinary to be asked to consult.

Did Rodrigo die? I thought I was watching this tn faithfully, but did I miss something? The last thing I remember that was shown related to him was when the doctor came out to tell Diego and the old man that the info he had for them after Rod's surgery was "not good" - and then NOTHING ... not a word about a vegetative state, prolonged coma, housed in longterm care, death ... nothing, nada, zero, zilch!

I'm glad they are giving the seasoned actors (Cordoba/Klitbo) more than just peripheral appearances, even though I don't enjoy the narco storyline. The younger set does nothing for me.

Rodrigo didn't die, I know he shows up in later episodes. It is just odd that he hasn't even been mentioned.
